Hello Everyone!

I honestly think the post office I visit every week to leave my swaps is very beautiful and recently I got curious about other people's and other countries' mailboxes.

  • So for this swap you have to send at least 3 photos of your mailbox/mailman/post office/counter/etc, photos of the place where you leave/receive your swaps . Anything Post office/service related from your country.

  • And tell your partner how it works, do you leave it somewhere and the mailman picks it up, do you drop it at the postoffice, there a special day of week to do so, etc Anything you can share about your experience in mailing things.

Have fun! Don't be late! Always rate!

I am in South Carolina USA I was told I was NOT allowed to take fotos inside the post office I wanted to take pictures JUST of the package with the date as a proof the swap ( my first package ) was sent , just in case... Not of him, not of the counter, not other people The USA swappers need to know it before they join .

Againt the law in the US for security reasons.

I wonder if you can take photos of the outside of the post office...?

ElenaMaz 09/ 2/2016 #

of course @winterborn I am thinking of doing that as well, because I think is very pretty from the outside

Here in Chile the mailman leaves the letters (flat ones) under the door if he brings a package only leaves it if is someone in the house. People doesn't use to have mailboxes. (some have, only if their houses have a fence but only for flat letters) Greetings!

My friend's daughter who is the secretary of the postmaster at the biggest post office here said we can do it discreetly So I did .... :D I took the door that says Postmaster as I was waiting in line The lady in her early 40's in front of me , in bad mood already turned from the notice of my cell phone ... I was grinning from ear to ear because of my mischief and she gave me a dirty look Some people cannot be happy LOL

THe comments on this swap have rolling with laughter!!!! My post master welcomes any and all things snail mail related lol including pictures of the post office .... Guess she prides herself in her work and wants to show how nice and clean they keep it! YEAH!!!! We live in the USA it is a free country and it is not against the law to take pictures of post offices inside or out! lol Maybe they didn't want to be in your pictures but it's not against the law lmao Check with your local law enforcement! lol

Very interesting! At my PO there are two female employees who enjoy seeing my fun mail and have even hinted that I might send them something. (I did!) I had thought about asking them to pose behind the PO counter for me.

Sorry, but taking photos of the post office or the mailbox is not illegal. :-). I had to laugh... :-) Maybe you have to ask for a photo because it isnt your property. And you have to ask anyway when taking photos of persons. But that's all. Everybody can take a photo of a mailbox or office at least from outside the house.
