Comment: Thank you for my pics of your town in Texas. My husband used to live in Austin..so he loves to see things from Texas. I would love to come see that old town...those buildings are soo unique. My favorite pictures are the flowers..that is soo cool how they pop up out of the snow..and isn't it rare to have snow in Texas?? Thanks so much again!!!

Comment: I received the recipe cards in a timely manner, but they were not the right size. We were making embellished 6x6 recipe pages, but the ones you sent were 4x6. You added pretty embellishments and did a good job on them though, so I give you a 5 for effort. I would just advise you to read the swap requirements more carefully in the future.

Comment: The effort was made by Rachel to give me the colors I wanted and as she is very new at quilting I appreciate that. I can resew the block to make it meet required size. Just work on your seams and cutting more accurate size pieces.

Comment: I'm really very sorry to have to do this and I know you tried both times to get it right. And I even gave you more time before rating, but both times the squares were not up to the requirements. The nine patch was fine and could be cut down but the other didn't make it to the 10 1/2 x 10 1/2 square. In which the square is unusable. Please understand that this rating is not ment to hurt Rachel in anyway, but it is an honest rating.
In response to your reply, my rating is honest and I might have said I would give a 5 BUT and that's a big BUT your squares once again did not meet the requirements. If you spent five hours on them they don't look it. And another thing, it looks as though you sent me a 9 block you got from a totally different swap. If you want to continue this I can. You got nasty with me the first time I told you they were not to the requirements. You did not sign them, the pieces were put in backwards you had the back of one fabric to the face of the piece, than you didn't even take the time to size them. The two I just received is as obvious as a poke in the eye that they are from two different people. One is really nicely made and has a certain size stitch to the sewing, the other is pieced together like a beginner, and is puckered and just not the right size.
You got nasty with me in the beginning and apologized and asked for a second chance. I never said I would give you a 5 if they weren't to the specifications of the swap. And another thing, this swap was to put together a quilt, not get squares that don't fit the size and just use them for something else. Maybe next time you should take the time when doing something and you wont get a honest rating like this.
I have all emails and pictures to back up what I am saying. And just double checked and no where does it state that I would give you a 5. Please quite sending me email messages.

Comment: Thanks for the recipes. They both sound delicious. I looove soup and have friends over for soup on Sundays quite often. Quick question though: Have you ever tried the Tortilla Soup without the cilantro or is there anything I could use instead? I'm not very fond of cilantro.
Response: you can make it without it, i dont really care for it eiether, but it does bring out the flavor :)
