Comment: Good choices! Awesome movies, and excellent reviews. I'm sorry to hear you were lukewarm about Le Samouri as I've wanted to see it.
(Also, good job about the platelets! I give blood, and am always pestering friends to donate.)
(sorry for rating so late - I entirely forgot on this swap. Today I am tidying up my dash and rating the few swaps I didn't at the time)
Comment: I am really sorry to rate a three, but this was due to be sent out on the 3rd, you messaged me on the 4th to say it would be late, but you would get it out by the end of that week, which would have been the 7th, but it is post dated the 20th, so nearly two weeks later. Also I am afraid the atc itself was not really acceptable. The pumpkin picture was lovely, but it was just glued onto a piece of thick lined paper which is not very sturdy, and is mostly peeling off that. Again, I am sorry but feel I have to rate a 3 on this
Response: I deserve it. Sorry for the lateness and the quality. Like I said in previous correspondence, that I was trying to get back into the swing of things and I have been off. Thank you for your in depth response. Once again, I apologize.
Comment: Thanks for sharing, Chaz :) I didn't know these songs/artist, but it's nice discovering new stuff, so thanks again. I really like 'ohh la, ohh la' & 'reno'. And i just have to say i like your taste in movies/tv/authors, some awesome stuff you listed in your profile :)
Comment: Great videos, really made me laugh! I have been a fan of Simon's Cat for quite a while; I have two kitties and they're just like that! :) The treadmill kittens is also an old favorite of mine, I love it. Thank you a lot!
Comment: I love the kitties on a treadmill! Cats are so strange! BTW my favorite is the Captain Jack Sparrow video other than the kitties. I showed the kitties video to my boyfriends family and everyone loved it!! Happy Swapping!
Comment: Sorry I was in a hurry. Or maybe I was just being passive aggressive because neither of my partners read my movie e-mail? No, actually I was just in a hurry... so I feel like a jerk now, but hopefully this will make it better. I did read your e-mail. I like Ponyo a lot as well as the other Miyazaki films. I haven't seen any of the other movies you watched. Thanks for sharing.~ E
Response: Thank you for the comment. It really made my day. I was just miffed by several other no-shows. Thanks again.
Comment: Hey Chaz! Thanks so much for the much welcomed, highly anticipated box o' coffee! The 2 types of coffee look delicious, and I love that they are local to your area, and I can't wait to grind some beans and try it. (That will be tomorrow AM.) I like that card, too! A slice of Richfield! :)
Comment: Wooooow! Thanks. I LOVE the red background and the owl. I already know the novels by Lukianenko and Asprin, but I´ll definitely check out the other one. By the way: Isn´t the guy called Robert Asprin? Aspirin is a german medicine against headache. ^^
Response: It has been awhile since I read the book.
Comment: my partner sent me two wonderful atcs she photographed herself!
thank you, very cool! so sorry! I read "Chaz" and didn't see the Charles! even better1 you are a fantastic photographer!! thank you again!
Comment: Thanks for making such a cool card! Obviously a physics guy -- neat technique making the portrait. And the black, white, and kelly green are awesome looking! (And I put your book recommendation on my library list).
Comment: Hello Charles,
Thank you for being my partner for the "Loteria ATC EL NOPAL" Swap. Thank you for your generosity in completing both loteria cards for me using an interesting program that you shared with me. I will have to check it out and try it sometime. Thank you as well for the two loteria cards you sent as extras in your envelope. I look forward to adding your loteria cards to my ATC series as they will be a positive addition. I hope we have further opportunities to swap with one another in the future on Swap-bot.
P.S. It has been a very hot summer here in NM. We are just starting our monsoon and that is help cool us off some, but now the humidity is really up. However, I still love living here, but love to travel.
Comment: Yay, you rock for sending something by Terry Pratchett! I've committed a cardinal sin of geekdom by having only read The Color of Magic and nothing else, so this is great. :D I've already read a few of your comments and it seems like this'll be really fun. Reading this will be my grad school graduation reward to myself, I can't wait! Thank you so much - hope to swap with you in the future. :)
Comment: FIVE STARS! Brilliant song choices!
All of them were great!
"Hurt" was a particularly inspired choice for Sayid.
Had to laugh about Jack's lament (I'm always saying he's such a whiner).
Desmond gave me a chuckle (Good song for him. Plus, I'm guilty of putting 500 miles on so many mixes without even initially intending to LOL)
Mr. Eko - "Jesus Walks" rediculously awesome choice for him!
When I saw what you chose for Richard I almost did a spit-take :) Too funny!
Great CD cover A+++++
Comment: Thanks so much for the music links. You have amazing taste in music! I'd never heard any of it before, but fell in love with all the songs right away, especially Adore Adore, and I'm proud to say Knickerbocker is one of my new favorite songs - sure got a laugh out of that one. Sorry I hadn't rated earlier. Thanks again!
Comment: Absolutely amazing prompts. I read through each card last night and was ready to run into the office and turn on the computer. I instead just closed the box, and put it on the desk not to be touched again until Nov. 1 -- but let me tell you, those scenarios are awesome and will help as I finalize my outline this week. Thanks so very much!
Comment: Awesome. I love that you did a story! I actually did a story for mine, too, so it made me happy that you did! I really like the songs and it's funny because that song by "The Blow" was on another cd I just got in the mail and I really liked it and now you put it on this one - I think the world is telling me "Hey! Like this song!" ;) Oh and awesome cover art. Thanks for the great swap.
Comment: Thanks so much-they were great! :) I love the seance theme...and I know what you mean about wet and dreary- I live in Oregon! lol! :) Thanks also for the funky German cards-I don't know what they say, but they're really cool! :)
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful stickers, and beautifully put together mix, the cover art was such a nice tough and the music is both hilarious and fun to listen to! The additional URLs added in your commentary made the experience that much more fun.
Comment: Wow, thanks for a great package! I love your creativity! I love "off the wall" things so I enjoyed all the cool things you sent! And how cool to make the CD mix based on the different July holidays. Thank you!
Comment: I'm excited about trying a new genre--I haven't read many fantasy that aren't classics (ie Tolkien, CS Lewis), and any sci-fi that I can think of except the original Star Wars. Also hearts for the asterisks by the ones I might like based on my profile. Well done. :)
Comment: hey chaz!!! love the mix! alot of it is new to me, which is always a treat! love the accordian napoleon song...- thanks so much! oh my GOD!!! the ochestrated version of "noone knows" is incredulous!....and i was peewee this halloween, so breakfast machine was adored!
Comment: Wow, this was a cool package! It was way more than mine which I had to make a great deal of due to my ignorance on the subject. Very cool. Loved the necklace! I think my fav part was the game and the book which are the right level to share with my two boys. Have to read the comic books and figure out if they are ok. We all liked it! Further more, thank you for the imaginative card. It was clever and personal, made me laugh and feel important. Very cool. Many Hearts.
Comment: The most effective way to get an annoying song out of your head is to share it with someone else. Needless to say, "Lollipop" and that crazy "Star Wars" tune was stuck in my mind ALL DAY. :P Now why can't this happen with the "good" songs? Thanks for sharing!
Comment: You have GOT to be kidding me!!! This is the most fabulous CD that I have ever gotten! With the exception of Mr. Blue Sky, Just Can't get enough and Hung up, the rest were all new to me, yet something that I would buy. I love Irish music, we go to the Dublin festival every year just for the music. The Rosenberg 7 remind me of the Mediaeval Babes! BTW, is that you on the front cover? Thanks so much for the cool stuff!!! Just ashame I could only give you one heart!
Comment: Another great card! Thanks so much for the extras, but even more thanks for being in all of these swaps. I feel myself lucky to have some of your talent in my collection. I hope to see you in future swaps. Take care!
Comment: Wow Chaz! This is your best card yet IMHO! I really like the photographic aspect--the lighting and colours are perfect! And thanks for the loteria card and the OTE card (which my son promptly stole from me, as he plays!) Thanks so much for a wonderful card! blessings, Gypsy
Comment: heart, heart, heart! strangely, i love the fish stickers, the wacky fish were great, yesterday i was actually wishing i had similar stickers, everything else is super cool too love the CD, did i mention all together it was a super cool package?! thanks!
Comment: I received my puzzle book today and I love it! It is so amazing and I can see that you put a lot of work into it :) Thank you so much. It is so cute. You really catered it to my profile. I wish I could give you more hearts!
Thank you so much!!
Comment: All i could think about when flipping thru the flip book you sent was "PORATALS". I'm a bit hooked on half life lately. hehe. Great book!! You have such talent for drawing and the sort. Thank you for an enjoyable swap.
Comment: Chaz, I feel so honored to be your swap partner every time I get a swap from you. My wacky holidays package was amazing! You went above and beyond. And the CD was fantastic, especially the fact that you put homestar runner on it. :D Thank you x1000
Comment: I liked this mix so much, I'd ruin a pony for you. Like the clear jewel case too, so I can read the track list when it's closed. Sorry it took so long to rate (work = nuts). Thanks for the CD and for joining the swap!
Comment: Thanks so much for the great ATCs!!! I love the Jaws one best because I am terrified of sharks, yet I like to watch movies with them and look at them to freak myself out!! Jaws has always been one of my fav movies! <3
Comment: Awesome! your work is great! I love my gnome as venus d' gnome! you know he is traveling, right? I am going to add your photo to our flickr group for @gnomad - well thats if you don't mind. Thanks so much these are awesome.
Comment: Thank you for all your extra work in creating such a cool CD cover with the titles included; and for your careful selection of songs. I look forward to listening to them tomorrow. (I just got back from a week vacation and it's late), even so, I'm sure I'll enjoy them all.
UPDATE: Okay, I'm listening to your CD mix right now and I'm LOVING it. Thanks, again. You deserve that Heart!
Comment: Holy whoa, Chaz! I love my ninja dojo-in-a-box -- it's absolutely fantastic! I am amazingly impressed! The mail carrier, the neighbors, the husband, the mayor, the slugs who meet up at night in our shower... we are all agog, our mouths agape at your masterpiece! Do slugs even have mouths? No matter. I am a ninja now! On a stealth mission! Thank you, Chaz.
Sorry that it takes a while for me to rate you as I don't have access to internet at home recently. I'm now at my university.
Thank you for the package and the note you wrote.
You did point out a very interesting fact about the chips/crisps terminology~
Although you said that there might be a lot more variety of crisps in the UK, I do love the honey and mustard Pretzels by Snyder's. There are only so few choice of pretzels in the UK that I can named like 'salted' (boring choice?).
The rest of the snacks are delicious too.
The onion and chive biscuits are some sort of asian thing that I could eat in Hong Kong. I don't know why I don't like it very much now as I used to.
Nevertheless, it is a very great package. Thank you.
