Comment: Thanks for the pile of posties Linda! You DID send one before about your Seven-(12) Falls visit (LOL) but it was for the Naked PCs WTA - did I thank you for that? Great minds forget alike, LOL!
Comment: Thank you Belinda for the postcards and notecards. I love them all. Don't worry about the other package. Sometimes the post office is not always our friendly neighbors. Anyway I appreciate your kind words and thoughts.
Comment: Thank you for the 'two' zentangles. Very nice job. And you think you're a beginner! Keep doing the tangles. And yes, I do like the zens. Have done boxes for gifts, and framed some for my grandsons. Getting ready for a show...did note cards and envelopes, bookmarks, and boxes with tangles. Will see how this goes.
Response: Best of luck on the show! I hope you have a sell-out!
Comment: Thanks for sending me 2 Zentangles in two of my favourite colours. : ) . I can see how you're trying different patterns and designs. I really like how the pink one has some more curves in it with the flowers... but I may be partial to liking more curvy things! You asked for honesty - You're doing well, maybe try a little shading next time to really make the different patterns stand out from each other. My eyes are drawn to the thick bold lines as well so keep adding them in. Some times larger areas with the same pattern can actually be more effective than lots of little segments, if you know what I mean. I found that really hard - knowing when to stop, when to leave space. Keep trying and experimenting - sitting in a comfy chair or laying on the bed is my fave place to tangle too. Thanks for hosting too - I really enjoyed this swap. :) P.s. Don't forget to put your details on the back of the ATCs next time. :)
Response: Thank you so much for those hlepful tips. I have some shading pencils, but I need to learn how to use the shading. I don't have much of an eye for that in regular painting, so I imagine it will not come easy for me on a tangle either. I do tend to get my tangles "busy" so I need to be careful there. Totally forgot about writing on the back! Big Ooops! Thanks again for your help!!
Comment: your ornaments were stunning, I adore them both esp the purple snowflake, being my fav colour and also a HUGE thank you for the postcards and other bits and bobs, I will be able to use them all , thank you
Response: I'm glad you were happy with your package!
Comment: I used to ride horses when I was a kid! I think all farm animals are adorable as babies and all of them grow up to be stinky adults...maybe we don't notice the smell because they're so cute when they're little?
Response: I received by email a video today of a pony playing with this huge ball! It was so cute and funny! He was having the time of his life with that darn thing!
Comment: I really appreciated some of your things on the bucket list.
Response: Oops!! I just re-read the swap directions and I misinterpreted it. I listed things I still want to accomplish, not that I've already done. So sorry for the confusion!
Five things I consider achievements are retiring with a nice monthly retirement; currently producing a monthly newsletter for a duth oven cooking group we're in; helped our daughter through college; send cards two people in two groups who need encouragement each month and support the local Rescue the Animals grup.
t's good to think about what you would like to achieve once in awhile so you don't lose your focus.
Comment: You've done all 5 of those things! Wow--I'm impressed.
Response: Don't be impressed...I just re-read the swap directions and I misinterpreted them. I listed things I would like to achieve...not that I have already achieved! I'm sorry for the confusion. Here are 5 things I've already achieved: Retired w/ a nice monthly retirement; currently doing a monthly newsletter for a group we are in; helped our daughter through college and into a great career field teaching children; able to send handmade cards to two groups of people each month; and I support the local Rescue the Animals group.
Comment: Thank you for the wonderful selection, Belinda! And you have no way of knowing, but I have a dear friend in France who "collects" benches ... the extra card you sent is going to have a lovely note written on it tonight and off to Marie in the morning.
Response: Isn't it cool how things just work out like that sometiimes!
Comment: Belinda -
I love the Flower pot card you made. I have it on display in my dinning room. Thanks so much. Glad you enjoy the Falls, it is a nice little town. My hubby has been to your area for a few ACU/WT football games. He likes to watch when they come to tow to play MSU as well.
Response: I'm glad you liked the card. It was fun to make.
Comment: Aw thank you for sharing that with me! I'm so the opposite though. I tend to be stingy when I make something awesome and don't want to give it away, haha. I'm glad you are so generous! Thanks for the MI map card. I like how thick it is.
Comment: Thank you, Belinda for the New York double-decker bus. My family and I have been to many cities in the USA : Boston, NewYork, Washington D.C., Orlando, Sanfrancisco, and many more. I'd love to go back there again. May be next year.
Thank you so much.
Response: I'm glad you liked the PC. You are very fortunate to have been to so many great cities!
Comment: Heyy. Thank you so much for Part 1 and Part 2 of my swap :) I loved them both. The envelope though, wow! I love all the notecards, handmade envelopes, and the stickers might be my favorite part. Thank you. And you're right! We haven't been partners in quite a while, hopefully this will change soon. <3
Comment: Wow Belinda, what a package! Thank you so much. The inchies and postcard are very cute, and all of the notecards you made are gorgeous. i really appreciate your generousity and the personal touches. Thank you!! (Big hugs)
Comment: Thank you for such a joyful envie full of lovely surprises. You know me well :) I love all the crafty bits and pieces from my profile, the gorgeous stickers and the co-operative ATC. I'm starting to feel much better on all fronts now, I hope are too. (big hugs)
Response: I am glad you were pleased! That was what I wanted.
Comment: Lovely cards! However for the future, Firstly, it arrived 35 cents postage due--thick envelopes always cost 35 cents extra regardless of weight. Secondly please put the name of the swap in/on the package somewhere, I had to dig around to figure out what swap this was for. Thank you for sending such a nice package though!
Update: Thanks so much for reimbursing me for the postage due! You really didn't have to do that but it was very nice of you ^_^
Response: I meter the mail going out so it should be correct. I'll send you some postage. I put a note inside (or at least try to) that has the name of the swap on it. I don't usually write it on the envelope, so I can't guarantee that would happen in the future. If I remember and we are partners, I will try. Thanks for the heart!
Comment: Thank you my friend. Your letter helped me through a painful and challenging week. You're one of my favourite swap-buddies too. (hugs) The bright colours were just what I needed too and the extra notecard has a wonderful message that I love.
Response: So glad to hear you liked everything! Thinking of you and hoping you are doing better! HUGS to you!
Comment: Thank you so much for the very nice letter. I appreciate all the nice things you said about me. I know about those dutch oven cookout groups. They do seem like a lot of fun. Thanks for giving me such a nice note to read and the extra notecard.
Response: You're very welcome! Thanks for the heart!
Comment: Thank you for the letter that you wrote and for the beautiful cards that you made! I hope that you had a wonderful Easter visiting with your daughter and family. Thanks for sharing your March with me :)
Comment: I laughed and I laughed when I opened the package, I adore her, the tall slim one is stunmning and shes wearing things (flip flops) so Australian and its summer here. I adore her shes perfect, Thanks also for the cute little one she is sweet too. the tall one has become my favourite one , hahaha she is awesome !!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks sooooooo much
Response: I liked her, too, and thought she would be a good match for you! I'm thrilled you liked her so much! Thank you for the heart, too! Belinda
Comment: Thanks for the great ATCs. FYI--I had to go to the PO to get this as there was a $0.20 "Non-machinable Surcharge Due".
ETA: Please don't worry about the $$, I just wanted you to know that the PO (at least here) was cracking down on this!
Response: I'm so sorry you had to bail this one out of jail! I'll send you some postage soon. I'm glad you liked the ATCs! Thanks for the heart!
Comment: I accidentally rated you before I got your envelopes - sorry about the confusion. Your envelopes only arrived this week, ten days after you sent them. It's not your fault the transit time was 10 days, but the envelope is postmarked 28th Dec which is more than 3 weeks after the due date for sending, which means they got caught up in the swathe of Christmas mail (the ones that didn't make it on time either!). Having said that, I think they're great envies, so thanks for following through and still sending them. I particularly like the pine needle one.
Response: So very glad you liked them! Thanks for the heart. Belinda
Comment: Your dotee is really cute! I like her different shape and her face is SO cute! Thank you also for the awesome things with her! This is only the 3rd one i ever got that was just for me! Thank you! HUGS
Response: I'm glad you liked her! I really did, too! Thank you so much for the heart!
Comment: Thanks for the fun ATCs. One question - why do they have several peoples' names and addresses on the back. Did you do them in combo with the other 2 people?
Response: This ATC is a JAMS (Just add more). One person starts the ATC out as a background, person #2 adds a little something and then person #3 finishes it up. You do 3 that are alike and each person gets a finished one back. This is so addictive and I've gotten some of the best ATCs I've ever seen by having so many people's ideas on one ATC! I hope you liked it!
Comment: Thank you for these lovely notecards, are they handmade? They are lovely! Also, thank you for the bowling stickers (Yes, I do remember talking about your husband bowling at some point) and the recipe cards! :P
Response: Yes, the notecards are homemade. I'm glad you liked everything and thank you for the heart!
Comment: Thank you for sharing the wonderful letter about your mom. She truly sounds like a wonderful person. My mom also passed away this year in January so the letter for me was also a little hard but very fulfilling when finished. I am honored you shared so many wonderful things. I know she is in a wonderful place along with my mother. Smiling down on us and still watching us. God Bless.
Response: Oh, Linda! Maybe our Moms are friends! Wouldn't that be the coolest thing! I miss my Mom so much and I know you do, too. It is so hard but I know that they would want us to go on and, like you said, are keeping an eye on us from above!
Comment: Thank you so much for the **awesome** notecards that you sent for this swap! I loved every single one of them! Thank you, too, for the frog stickers and the ATC! You made my day! I'm sure I'll find something wonderful for the stickers and the ATC is going up on the door of the cabinet where I keep my paper stash! Thank you for a wonderful swap! Hugs!
Response: I'm thrilled you liked everything! Makes me smile!
Comment: They sound yummy and I love the recipe card. Quick question, what size package of Oreos do you use?
Response: The Oreo pkg is just the "regular" size. I don't have one on hand to tell you ounces. You can also use any off brand of sandwich cookie your family likes as well. You can't tell much difference once it's mixed together! I hope you like them!
Comment: When I saw your name as my swap partner for the M dotee, I almost squell
ed for delight. I thought now I get to see
a dotee from Belinda. You did not diappoint me. Your mitten dotee is a
novel idea! Thanks! Thanks also for the ATC supplies and floss. I am using the sparkly gold immediately for the mini
Christmas dotees. You are always so
kind and generous!
Response: I thought the same thing! I was glad to be able to send to you. That was my first (and probably LAST) mitten dotee!! LOL! Look at that poor thumb! Anyway, it was fun to do and I had you in mind while I was making her! Thanks for your sweet comments and the heart!
Comment: Thank you very much for the lovely letter that you wrote about your mother. I feel very honored to have been able to read all the wonderful things you wrote about her. I'm sure that you miss her very much. What an awesome woman she was. She reminds me of my own mom in very many ways :) Thank you for sharing.
Response: I thank YOU for reading about my Mom. I do miss her. I'm glad you still have your Mom and get to spend time with her.
Comment: Thank you for the wonderful letter about you and your husband! I always love meeting people who bowl (or their spouse bowls)! I enjoy hearing the stories! Also, thanks for the recipe cards, I look forward to using them! :D
Response: You're welcome! It was fun writing about the bowling.
Comment: Thank you for the great ATCs and letter. A special thank you for the buttons from your collection. Sadly, there was a hole in the envelope and the thimble button is not there. If it was in the plastic bag with the thread ones, I'm guessing someone tampered with the envelope.
Response: Oh, no! It was in the little baggy with the two thread buttons. That just makes me sick as that was the whole reason for sending. It was small but unless there was a hole in that baggy it couldn't have come out without "some help". I'm so sorry! Belinda
Comment: Loved the cute owl scrap paper. Thanks so much! Just thought you should know though for next time... My package almost didn't get to me in one piece, the inchies tore the envelope and the post office taped it closed.
Response: Oh, no! I hope you got it all and I'm glad they taped it back up. I'll have to mail it differently next time. Thanks for letting me know.
Comment: Your questions were alot of fun. But the best part was knowing that you only live 7 miles from where I was born and raised :) AWESOME Thanks for the inchies too, have not seen any of those yet, they are really cute, might have to try some myself.
Response: I got your responses today and was astounded that you were raised at Merkel! OMG! I wish you were as close to your grandson as I am! I enjoyed your answers and wish I could visit Alaska!
Comment: Hi Belinda,
Thank you for the clever list of 100 things about you.
I will treasure your quilled ATCs and "cool" inchies.
....And those address labels are awesome.
I really admire your computer skills.
Response: Thank you for your kind rating! I enjoyed making the inchies and the quilled items were made by my sister. I made the labels. Glad you enjoyed them all.
