I've never been out that way, but it seems like a nice little town. I was born in San Jacinto, Texas, and grew up mainly in Pasadena, a suburb of Houston. I came to Las Vegas and Henderson, Nevada in 1977.

Comment: Rosemary, I love your ATC and the use of more than one color works so well for the background. I love birds and the blue background, as you say, needs birds. I love those and the cage. I'd love to have that die. I have a Tim Holtz one that I think is too large for an ATC but I should use it again to be sure of the size. Thanks also for the little bag of charms, especially those with Christian symbols. Thanks for a terrific ATC--the extras are wonderful, but I rate based on the item its self. It is SO well done. Hope you've been having a good week.

Recently, my husband has discovered watercolor painting and he is really good. You and I have several things in common. We love animals, and I have a grown daughter named Mia. She lives with her family in Champaign, Illinois. My husband and I just adopted a black kitten. I named her Ember after a huge, devastating fire we had three weeks ago here in Fortuna. She is a love and has brought us much joy. I hope we get to be swap partners again..

Comment: Wish I could give you extra hearts for the beautiful mail art. I can barely draw a recognizable stick figure and find those who can paint are extremely gifted! Except for the mountains in the background, this looks like my back yard. We live near a wildlife preserve and often there are deer drinking from our pond. You captured the big black bird on the branch perfectly!! Almost any day of the year we see big hawks, owls, squirrels, rabbits and geese. Last year we had a solitary Great Blue Heron live in and around our pond. Thanks for capturing the best of my world in art! Thanks, too, for the holiday ornament stickers!

I still have one more question: I love the little old fashioned cards, I've never seen them before, are they for a specific purpose or just for fun? I love the one with the map of Lithuania with the borders in 1918. We visited that country a couple of years ago and were charmed by it.
Response: The little cards were just for fun. They can be used in card making, scrapbooking or whatever your imagine can come up with, or you can just keep them because you like them. I was not aware that my letter had a letter in Dutch written on the backside ( I am wondering where I got that), I hope that's ok. I am glad you liked everything and thank you for the heart.

Response: Thanks Maggie. I sure hope you can make the tea, it is delicious. We have lavender fields 45 minutes away from where I live, but they are only open for one month, and then they are closed the rest of the year. It is a very nice place and smells great!

You put a lot of thought and work into my traveling writing box. As for the contents, another surprise. I loved all the stationery you included, the quill pen and the two bottles of ink (red and black), as well as the heart stamp and red sealing wax. Comment: First I want to say I was surprised when your box came in the mail, you hadn't marked it sent so I was not expecting it, but what a great surprise! You Rock!!! You have gone way above swap requirements. First I want to say that I love the Warlock cigar box that you put the bag of runes in. I really, really like the box. Second the green glass runes, the green bag with the Triquerta on the front, and the green leather book you put together was fabulous!! You really did a lot of work on the book and I love that you put so much information in it, AND I love that you wrote my name in Viking script and included my stone with the Viking Rune for my birthdate on it. Great job!!!!

Comment: Totally loved the box. You were right about changing it. Hailey had to see everything you sent. She got all excited. lol. Thank you. I loved the ritual bag that you included that contained every - thing that I needed for the ritual, and the pentacle that you engraved into the wood was great. I loved it so much. The salt candle holder was an extra surprise, and I will use it right away. I also loved the handmade mask that you sent. Again, thank you for all the great stuff.
Response: I am so glad you liked it. It is really hard to surprise you, especially when originally we planned the boxes together. The Himalayian Ionic Salt Candle you never expected as well as the mask. Got yah.

It is a cross between an incident my daughters went through in highschool and all the complaining that goes on here sometimes, well deserved most of the time. It was bothering me, so I turned it into a story.
