Comment: Jessie, thanks very much for the cool cards plus the extra vintage ephemera! Miss Lube Rack seems like such a strange phenomena. The animal skinning card pales in comparison. I hope you weren't hurt when you totalled your car! Be careful out there! All the best, Cynthia
Response: I'm glad you enjoy the PCs Cynthia! <3
My neck is still messed up from the whiplash, but all in all I'm not doing terrible. Thank you for such a kind rating!
Comment: Thanks for all the awesome postcards, Jessie! And where did you find those "Nature Notes of an Edwardian Lady" stickers?? I just recently found the book "The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady" at a rummage sale! So beautiful! :-)
Response: Glad you enjoyed the envie! I think I got them as extras from another swapper actually, so I couldn't tell you where the stickers came from unfortunately. They are quite pretty though, I have more that I kept. :)
Comment: YES! This card is quite fantasmic, thank you for sharing! :):):) My husband recently used the word "portmanteau" which is what this is called. I made fun of him, but it's such a cool word in itself. :):):)
Response: Haha awesome, never knew! Glad you enjoyed it!
Comment: I meant to rate this on Monday! I have not had a chance to read the actual letter yet, but I am rating based on the PL portion :) I quite enjoyed it! The tuck ins were really fun to explore, and I love looking at each pocket. Thank you for doing this with me!! I've noticed in the PFs, we are def not the only two that were gun-shy to give these a whirl! :)
Response: Yessss that's great to hear! I'd love to try another, get some practice! Thanks so much for offering a private swap to try it out! It was a lot of fun, and such a creatively challenging project!
Comment: I found some mail I got long time ago behind the table. it seems they fall down and got lost. Sorry for the late rating. Thank you for the nice postcard. Boathouse is a great idea to purchase.
Response: LOL I appreciate the rating, even if it's late. Thank you!!
Comment: You definitely made me laugh. Thank you so much for this wonderful postcard & stamp collection. Wow 3 dogs...I have one sausage dog, which keeps me more than busy with all her crazy ideas. And now have a nice evening.
Response: Sausage dogs are so adorable!! Yay, enjoy!
Comment: Thank you so much for the beautiful postcard! I love everything about it, especially the wispy cloud and the deep dark forest <3 It reminds me of a cold winter's night when all is peaceful and quiet :)
Response: So glad you're happy with my work! It was such a fun one to make!
Comment: Thanks for the great underwater scene! Love the dimension of the wooden pieces and anchor button. I usually completely cover a button or cut off the shank but your cute bow on the exposed part is a brilliant idea! I appreciate the extras as well.
Comment: Hi Jessie! I do love vintage pcs, so yours was great from your stash! The weather has been cold, snowy, icy and a pain at times but it is winter here, and the Farmers Almanac did warn us, so.... Hugs, Happy New Year and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Wow, these are so great and such an interesting variety, thanks so much! I'm definitely turning this card into a postcard too. Glad you're enjoying your Switch, my son loves his so much. It's surprisingly durable too, I was worried it would be too fragile but his has lasted two years of hard use including traveling in his school bag. His fav game is Mario Maker and another called Arms, I think. Happy new Year! :):):)
Response: Glad you enjoyed the selection! I forget if I mentioned loving Mario Odyssey for the Switch, but your son might like that one too! I'm constantly amazed at all the thought they put into even the little things in that game!
Comment: Thanks a lot for your email with the songs and the explanations :) Did you know that Venetian Snares has an album which name is in Hungarian, and also the songs are named Hungarian? The song you mentioned is from this album, "hajnal" means "dawn" :)
Response: I didn't know that! The more you know 💜 Thanks so much!
Comment: This will be a fantastic addition to my decorations (actually, I think I'm going to hang it on my mothers tree and see how long until she notices.) Great workmanship from hands that obviously are familiar with the subject matter, as proven by the correctness of the anatomy!!! Thanks so much. I am very impressed with the gold sheen and the "well hung" Made me laugh until I cried a little, down my leg. Happy Holidays!
Response: Bwaahahaha everything about this rating makes me all warm and fuzzy inside! So glad it got the effect I was going for!
Comment: Thanks for the postcard. It looks like a street in Quebec City that I visited this past summer~ I have traveled all over New England. I love Boston and live one hour North of it. The mountains in NH are beautiful too! Happy Thanksgiving Jessie!
Response: Thank you! Hope you had a lovely holiday!
Comment: What a super special and creepy ATC! Thank you so much! The ATCs from your swaps are the only one, I actually have to hide from my son... :D Thank you so, so much for the Halloween goodies, the sparkles and the tissue paper with the golden dots! This is amazing! I am looking forward to swap creepy ATCs with you in the future - this is always so much fun! :) Take care!
Response: Thanks Romy!! You're so sweet in your compliments, and I always love swapping with you. :)
Comment: Oh my gosh, oh my gosh. Yes, thank you! Its is a beautiful postcard. So colourful & vibrant! I love it; love those vintage illustrations! Somehow I missed rating it. So sorry. I cant help but to wonder how did the pet costume go? Better than expected?I put a hat on my cat one year and he stiffened up so hard I thought he was gonna fall over dead. lololol. But man, I got the pic! lol I gonna send you a PM.
Response: Glad you enjoyed the postcard! The cat was not all about all the trick-or-treaters visiting and hid most of the day, but the dogs *put up with* the costumes for a little while hahaha!
Comment: Thanks for the card. I will have to look this guy up. Small world I guess that you grew up in my neighborhood. We often drive to Grant Park or Momence for gas. It's often as much as 50 cents cheaper there.
Response: I lived in Sherbernville and went to school in Grant Park. Small world indeed!
Comment: Love the card! :) cute! :) Yeah I couldn't imagine living anywhere else really, love my little town with the whole Christmas thing :) I did live somewhere else for 20 years, but this is home :) I LOVE horror movies too ...I will have to check out the trailer for Suspiria... Thanks for the great card! :)
Response: You are oh so welcome, glad you liked. :)
Comment: Thanks for this gorgeous PC! Your mermaid is so graceful and I love your advice from a mermaid. I am going to pass it on to a friend who loves mermaids too! Hugs from Alaska, Sherry
Response: I super appreciate the compliment about my art! I've been trying to practice my drawing to get better at it. Glad you enjoyed the advice as much as I do! Can't pass up a good pun, haha. Til next time!
Comment: Hi Jessie! Thanks for your patience in my rating this swap. I was so excited to see this beautiful postcard, I thought I had rated it right away. Thank you for this great work of art and thank you for your patience in rating!!!
Response: Thank you for rating!! I've totally done the same once myself. Anyway I'm really glad it got to you and was well received! :)
Comment: Love the ATCs, thank you!! They are all super adorable! I wonder if there's a word for the human with animal heads thing... maybe we should do a swap for that sometime, it's a cool theme! <3 <3 <3
Response: Awe, yay, I'm glad you like them! Yesss I am so down for that idea. Apparently it's called theriocephaly (some greek nonsense word).
Comment: Wow... O_O Just... WOW! This entire swap is so stunning... From the card over the envelope to the stamp! And your ATC looks absolutely creepy! :D I LOVE it! The image is so fascinating and of course I had to look or pastel-galaxy-tutorials! Now I regret that I gave all my pastel colours away... Super cool swap! Thanks for hosting it!!! :D
Response: So happy to hear it arrived safe and found a good home! I was worried someone in the mail system might snag it because of the envelope art, haha. I LOVE getting messy with my art, so doing the pastel galaxies was so much fun!
Comment: You should come up to Alaska to see the animals and the mountain vistas for yourself! Thanks for the great PC, I put a Russian language page on mine! Hugs from Alaska, Sherry
Response: Some of my family used to live in Alaska too, it sounds so beautiful! I'm a wuss in the cold, otherwise I would have definitely moved somewhere greener at the very least. Maybe someday I'll get to visit though!
Comment: Thank you so much for the international bridge postcard! I love that little bridge - shortest intern'l bridge in the world!!! Then I looked it up and Google puts both islands in Canada. It makes a great pic, though. I guess the actual shortest bridge is between Portugal and Spain -13 ft. shorter than the Zavikon Island bridge. But look what I learned in just a short time! Thanks also for the good quote! Excellent!! Thank you!
Response: The postcard lied?!? Hahaha that's too funny! I guess now we both learned something new from it!
Comment: Thanks for the items Jessie - I will enjoy using those colors and the bird - love birds. (PS - future tip - somewhere in the envelope, let your partner know what swap it is and your swap name - helps to figure what's what and rate more easily :)
Response: Darn it, I used to be so good at remembering that, I do apologize. I did take a look at your profile to see what I could find in your taste, so I'm glad my choices indeed suited you well. 🙂
Comment: Cute!!!! I'm impressed the chipboard embellishment made it through the mail. When I lived in the south, I would start thinking about beach in April. Here it will be June or July!
Response: Haha I was a little worried about that embellishment myself, but I've had weirder things travel unscathed. Yes, it's definitely beach weather here already. Just need the beach to be here too!
Comment: Thank you for the swap. That woman looks like she is not to be taken lightly. I love all the vintage elelments, especially the violets. My mother had a small patch of violets when I was growing up. thanks for the extras.
Comment: I wish I could rate you like a 10! I love these! Especially Lestat! And I am absolutely down for private swaps! I’m going to send you a copy of what I planned for this exchange & a surprise :)
Comment: Hello Jessie,
Thank you so much for 3 Heart ATCs. I thought all three were creative and I am excited to add them to add them to my ATC Book. I wonder how you made your bacgrounds.
Response: Thanks Barb! I made the backgrounds with a little bit of everything, but mostly watercolor. I have a metallic set I enjoy using. â˜ºï¸ I'm so glad you enjoy them! The "Wooden Heart" one is from a song that I like so much I have a large tattoo based on it.
Comment: Thank you so much for such a beautiful PC and lovely sentiments about the beach! Yes, it does snow on the beach and ocean here in MA and it's a beautiful sight to behold. Thank you, again, for a great swap - and for being part of the group! xoxo
Comment: HAHAHA! Man, I'd swear you must know me with the phrase you put on the card. That is my go-to description of someone when I am angry. Love it. Thank you so much! Also, absolutely appreciate the Perler beads! Always need them! ^.^
Response: I'm surprised anyone else uses that phrase, but it's definitely on the top of my list too haha! Glad you like the package!
