Comment: Thanks for your great Texas postcard. Have you returned from your cruise and I hope you enjoyed yourself tremendously. I have put your postcard in:
Response: i love your blog, it's so cool to see all your cards. i'm leaving this saturday for the ship, returning 7/18. it's going to be so fun!!
Comment: Seems we keep getting partnered. Thank you for the peppers postcard. I definitely don't have one of those. Maybe we can do a private pocket letter stash swap. I've only done a couple. They are fun and addicting.
Comment: Thank you for the pretty PC from Texas. I don't really know much about or understand pocket letters - really need to read up and research about them more! That's great you go to the local Ren Faire - wow, one of the biggest in the US?! Now I want to go! *grin* Take care!
Comment: I LOVE my dish towels! You do great work! I LOVE handmade items. Even my hubby likes them! Thank you for the extras, too. Have a blessed day.
Response: yay!!! this actually MADE me get into the sewing room & i got several made for gifts as well. ( i certainly know plenty about banged up packages in the mail, i've had more than my share) happy swapping & have a great summer.
Comment: A BIG HELLO TO YOU IN TEXAS!!! I loved your pcs and magnet. I especially liked the "Greetings from Texas" pc with the boot punched out on it. Thank you for sharing with me in this swap. blessings, ellie
Comment: I gave you a 5 since you did resend the package after I notified I never received it in two weeks even though we live in the same state. However, I noticed that it was the exact same fabric I received from another swapper who also participated in this swap. I understand re-swapping was allowed but it was a little disappointing getting the exact same fabric after waiting 3 weeks for it.
Comment: Thank you for your lovely recipe PC. I love onions. I also love TX. My cousins are from Houston, where we stayed in March this year. Your PC is from the Rio Grande Valley and we did follow the Rio Grande when on the Amtrak train after leaving Houston.
Comment: Great lighthouse! Thanks for the PC! Someday I would love to visit Texas. My hubby says when everything else goes to pot...we will move there...cuz when Texas goes under...then we'll know we're really in trouble.
Comment: Thank you SO much for the Iwo Jima postcard. A couple years ago I read a very moving book about Iwo Jima and that statue and the men who lifted that flag. So it has a place in my heart. Thank you very much!
Response: it's a very moving experience looking into the eyes of the statue. i didn't expect that the 1st time i visited, during it's dedication. seeing the flag blowing in the breeze is still a glorious sight. thanks for the quick rating & the heart. happy swapping.
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful postcard! :) I really liked the card and message. And if you don't mind me asking, what did you do in Aschaffenburg? Thanks again. Best wishes and happy swapping! :)
Response: you're welcome. thanks for the fast rating & the <3. i was in A-burg w/ my then husband who was stationed there w/ the US army.
Comment: thanks for the pc and story! its kindof weird- one of your postcards bound for the netherlands made it to my house! the stamp wasn't canceled or anything, the cards must have gotten stuck together! no worries though, i've re-mailed it.
Response: omg, thank you so much for sending it....that is weird...thanks for the quick rating & the heart, happy swapping!
Comment: Thank you so much for the postcard from Texas !!! Texas is one of the states I would love to visit the most and Im so happy to get a postcard from you !!! Your address label was also beautiful ! Thanks again: D
Response: you're welcome, thanks for the quick rating & the heart!
Comment: Thank you for the pc and the recipe. I found Texas springsweet onion sets here in Iowa last year and planted them and loved them. They were SO very sweet. Couldn't find any this year, but I will try this recipe anyway.
Response: thanks for the quick rating & the heart!
Comment: Thanks for the postcard. Guacamole is our favorite dip with tortilla chips. I usually don't put in jalapeno pepper, too spicy! But I just might try this recipe for something different.
Response: thanks for the quick rating & the heart! the trick to "unspicing" a jalapeno is to remove all traces of membrane inside. the white part is what holds "the heat". i too don't like spicy hot, but i love fresh "jalies" in stuff, as long as i'm the one who's prepared it.
Comment: Thanks so much for the post card! Mail can be so wacky, I saw the date that you mailed it was weeks ago, and somehow it just got here! I think it took a leisurely little drive over here! Thanks again, happy swapping!
Comment: Love the Thor. Hubby and I are guessing it came from a Dr. Pepper box. It's fun that we can't tell for sure!
Response: yes, it is from the DP box, i have a vending machine business so i have A TON of cardboard & i love "fussy cutting" the images from them for these swaps. coke always does extraordinary on their boxes as well. thanks for the heart!
Comment: Thanks for the postcard - I love Dr. Pepper. If I did what you do for a living, I'd be drinking soda & eating King Dons constantly!! Hope you get a big old rainshower soon.
Response: lol...well, i'm actually surprised i don't eat more of my own snacks.....i really thought i would when i started. i love doing the cardboard swaps cuz i have so many cool boxes...thanks for the heart.
Comment: While you are wishing for rain, NY is hoping it doesn't. The area south of here was hit very hard by floods and many people had their homes ruined, There were piles of life belongings on the curbs.
Response: thanks for the heart. i've seen the images from the east coast after the storms...terrible! yet central texas is so parched the trees are actually dying from lack of rain. crazy.... anyway, happy swapping!
Comment: Unfortunately you didn't read my profile. I was disappointed to your postcard.
Response: sorry, i don't have a single cartoon card, matter of fact, i have never even seen one here where i live. only when i've gone to places like disneyland, etc. it's all i could do to even find postcards in my city, there is only one place that sells them. if i find a cartoon card, i will send it to you.
Comment: Love the magnet thanks i love magnets too i just started a magnet from each state #2 if u are interested. I live a few houses up from where i grew up to i can see my moms house from mine lol thanks for the lovely note and magnet happy swapping
Response: glad you like it, thanks for the heart. will definitely join the next swap, thanks for hosting.
Comment: WOOOOOO MARGARITAS!!! Thanks for sharing, you sound like someone I would want to have a margarita with. But crucial questions: 1. Frozen or on the rocks? 2. Salt or no salt?
Response: frozen...you get to drink the entire glass...love lots of salt, just not the same w/o, i've had them in all combos....guess you could say i'm "a 'rita expert"....lol...thanks for the heart! cheers!
Comment: Hi Bettina, Thanks for the great postcard. I love it. The heat FINALLY broke here yesterday. This morning when I got up it was 46. It was a little too cool. I don't know why we had to go from 85 to 46 in one day. Too much of a change. But it does feel better than those hot steamy 90-105 days we had. Thanks again for the pc!!!
Response: glad it made it there okay. we too are finally not 100, thanks to TS Lee. thanks for the heart.
Comment: WOW!!! What can I say? Thank you, thank you, thank you for all the lovely things. I especially love the coasters. Love the way you can put the end of a wine glass in and carry around your glass without wondering where you let your coaster. I could go on and on with all the things. I really don't know how you managed all those things in that little envelope. Love them, Shirley
Response: lol...you should have seen me at the counter w/ the mail lady helping....i was holding it down, she was taping. i love those coasters, & who can't use more? glad you liked it. thanks for the heart.
Comment: Thank you I got both cards, the first one got ruined in transit, so it was nice of you to send the second as back up, without knowing the first one was ruin, so for that you earn a heart.
Response: oh no...wonder what happened....i tell you, our postal system sometimes really can do a number on our stuff...so glad i didn't remember sending it. i felt pretty sure i did, but it's strange that i didn't go to the "send" section. oh well, all's well that end well. thanks for the heart.
Comment: I love how creatively you cut the box. I feel like I got a small piece of pop art instead of a PC. It's so neat looking! I hope to swap with you again in the future. Here's to happy swapping!
Response: pop art-cool, i hadn't thought of that, but yeah, i guess it sort of is. i've already cut more boxes for the next round, i had so much fun selecting my "cards". thanks for the heart, happy summer!
Comment: I love everything you created especially for me but most of all the cupcake pouch. Thank you for reading my profile and making beautiful projects.
Response: i had that cupcake fabric so when i read your profile, i knew i had to do something w/ it. had fun putting it all together, especially when i realized (though not immediately....) that i had the same person for 3 swaps at one time. happy swapping & (probably) see you again! i guess we have the same tastes....
Comment: What an awsome package! I love the totes! I went to Texas on a teacher exchange 3 years ago, stayed in Tomball, went to St. Antonio so I know the one scene on the bag - brings back sweet memories. And I need more hearts to thank you for the extras you sent. so thoughful of you! Thank you sooooo much! If you'd like anything from Germany I'be happy to send something in return.
Comment: I wish I could give you a bunch of hearts! Thank-you for the extra special swap, it was so nice of you to read my profile and send stuff that I can use ... the zippers, the sewing machine needles, the elastic, the buttons .... just perfect, I will use all of them! I also really love the measuring tape and quilting ruler .... really your package was way above and beyond! I really love the pincushion and the fabric bag that you put the items in too .... I need to figure out how to make that bag, it is too neat!!! Thanks again!!!!!!!
Response: so glad you liked it. i think i can find the instructions & send them to you via pdf/email. i'll look, it's super easy to make, very cute. can be made in any size; 2 squares. (i had all that stuff in my sewing room/disaster area....)
