Comment: Thanks for the ODD package. I love the flamingo pen, so does my kitty. Got to keep it up or she will destroy the feathers. I sent the same Lollipop hair ties in my package. Thank you so much for all the extras.
Comment: Cool PC! I didn't shoot off any fireworks myself but did see some on the 4th. My neighbors have been shooting off fireworks every night since the 3rd. I'm still waiting to see if they shoot any off tonight! It's been wet around here lately so I'm ok with it. If it gets dry again we may have to have a chat!! Thank you!
Comment: Great PC! The closest I've been to the Grand Canyon/Yellowstone is flying over in an airplane from Salt Lake to Phoenix! Would love to visit one day! Glad you have you PC collection that brings back good memories of the place!
Comment: Ty for the note and extra card. Most of your favorite summer activities are the same as mine, but no more ice cream, I haven't been in a hammock in years and no thanks on the motorcycle lol! Hope you had a great 4th my friend!
Comment: Thanks for the note and the note card ♥ I don't have plans, hubby is working so I will be staying home so I can pick him up. Son going to head out with his grandma, I'm sure. Hope you have a great 4th!
Comment: Love love the flamingos notecard. Thanks for the bonus too. When I did this swap I was one notecard short of the required five and had to make run to dollar store. Couldn’t decide so ended p buying three packs. At least I will put them to good use
Comment: Thank you for the great card. I have only been on a bike a few times. And my friends trike once. I would like to have the Gold Wing that my cousin has. It has the reverse trike kit. He got it not too long after they got them here in the states. In a shop in Joplin, MO.
Comment: Totally cute, as always! I'm so glad you hosted this series and stuck with it even when it was just us. :) I've had so much fun doing these and will be sad when it's over. Thanks for all the adorable ATCs and for being an AWESOME host!!
Comment: I got up here in Vegas at 3am to watch the royal wedding. I was exhausted by morning!! Mehgan's dress was perfection. Simple and elegant. Her mother Doria also looked amazing. What a celebration. Thanks for the extra notecard!!
Comment: Thank you for the note. I hate spiders, but your notecard is really cute! It made me giggle. My husband loves to doze in the hammock. He would love sleeping outside in it,but not me. To many things(spiders) might get me lol!
Comment: Hi Cristy!!!
I loved your notecard and reading about your summer plans!! Thank you SO MUCH for the washi tape and stationary!!! I loved them all especially the washi tape you used on the back of the letter! You know me and my Disney! I loved everything thank you for your kindness and generosity !
Xoxo Christina / Xtina4always
Comment: Ha ha!! What an adorable postcard! Those poor cats..😂 Reminds me of when we were kids and dressed up our poor cats in our dolls' clothes. LOL Too cute! Thanks so much for the chuckle today! :)
Comment: I've never heard of the Bull Ring, had to look it up and it looks fabulous. Did you go the Card Factory and look to see if they had some fun PCs? Glad you had a great time; I'm so jealous of people who travel as I'm unable to do so right now! Thank you!
Response: It is INCREDIBLE - got lost :P I didn't go there! But I did hit up Scribbler and Paperchase, some faves for stationery :)
Comment: My whole flight to the Dominican I felt like I was forgetting something. A week later, when we got back, I found out what it was that I Had forgotten. I didnt turn the ceiling fan off. Oops! Hope your trip is great and thanks for sharing. :D
Response: Oh no! I always forget something, can relate! trip was amazing, thanks! :D
Comment: Thank you for the mermaid card. I didn't have much spring cleaning to do, but my husband thinks that has more to do with me doing housecleaning ever couple days and staying super organized. He blames my military upbringing. LOL
Comment: Thank you for the mermaid postcard - it matches the unicorn card I got! Hope your spring cleaning is coming along... mine isn't as I have not been motivated, but I have guesting coming in 4 days - that should be motivation enough - yikes! Take care!
Response: yw :) I found those sets at Michaels and love them so much ^^ Spring cleaning is being extended indefinitely thru summer lol!
Comment: Hi Christy! Another super cute ATC! Thank you!! I would be totally cool if it ended up just being you and me in this series. I love your ATCs! But hopefully others will join, too, so you aren't just stuck with mine. lol Thanks, as always, for hosting such awesome swaps!
Response: thanks! ^^ I am totally okay with that, thanks for sticking with me on the series! :) lol! happy to host!
Comment: Thank you for sharing your day! I know what that day after leg burn feels like. MR and I like to see the world from the tops of lighthouses and towers. My legs aren't as big a fan of them as I am, lol.
Comment: Your day sounded so pleasant. I absolutely love the card! I actually taped it to the inside of our back door so I could get a giggle every time I go outside. :D And so many nice surprises! Thank you so much!
Comment: Oh my cuteness!! I LOVE it! I wish I could draw. But since I can't, I really love it when I get something from people who can. Thank you so much! And thank you for the extras -- they're perfect since we just had a beach day on vacation last week. Now back to SNOW today in Michigan. Boohoo. lol
Response: so glad to hear it! :) thanks for joining the series :D we had some 70 degree weather but now it is back to cold and rainy, blegh :/
Comment: Okay, you send REALLY fast! LOL TY for the note and goodies. Good luck in your search. We were blessed that our former landlord had an opening and asked us if we wanted it two years ago. We were able to move back into the duplex we spent 7 years in, just in the other unit lol.
Response: I do, guilty :P Still on the lookout, but also not rushing it too soon since it seems like I'm traveling a ton lately anyways.
Comment: Hi Christy! Sounds like a great day - sometimes not leaving the house and being lazy is what we need to recharge our batteries! Thanks for the fun share and extras! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Such a cute card. Sorry about the Chinese food. So far it hasn't bothered me; although, I've thought we should eat more natural. I hope your Gram gets better too. Thanks for the extras and having me in the swap too!.
Comment: Thanks for the notecard & the project life cards. I hope you & your grandmother had a good visit. I lost my Gram about 12 years ago & it tore a part of my heart out. But I have the most amazing memories. Keep making those memories.
Response: yw :) I hope she starts to feel better soon :/
Comment: Thank you for the lovely floral postcard you colored for me! I do love those awesome solar eclips stamps - thank you for using it on my pc ❤. Some of the color was gone from the pc since I think it got a bit wet in the mail.
Response: yw :) sorry to hear that the PC got a bit ruined :/
Comment: Thank you for the very pretty note card. Also the extras, can always use them. Spending the day with a friend is always fun. A long distance friend and I get on the phone and it usually ends up being 2 hours or more. Thanks again.
Response: yw :) always nice catching up with a friend!
Comment: Thanks for the notecard and writing a lot! Some words and sentences were hard to read due to the marker it was written in, but I was able to read most of it. I hope your body isn’t so sore anymore. It’s hard for me to say no to people too, but thankfully (For me) they never ask me to do anything too physical lol 🙂 thanks for the goodies.
Comment: I don't have plans, but then again I am not a partier. You should check in with @GoCindy as she seems to be in the Chi area (going to the green Chicago River) so maybe y'all can meet outside of SB!
Comment: I'm glad your Valentines Day was happy :)
I'm vegetarian, too - I'll have to check out Cooper's Hawk... we have them nearby as well, but I always expected they wouldn't have anything for me... like every other place in our area :(
Response: thanks! definitely check it out, amazing place to have dinner with some great wine! The enchiladas are veg - quite good, too!
Comment: Wow thanks for the amazing collection of new words! ‘Abubble’ was the only one I knew! I love the adorable Donut postcard... I’m vegan but I stop occasionally by Zombee Donuts in Fullerton for a vegan donut (or two) to go:) So the card makes me smile for that and the health challenges I’ve recently had. Happy Swapping! Donut Give Up:-D
Response: yw! Vegan donuts are SO GOOD - There are a couple of really good places in downtown Chicago that have them. We do donut Fridays when everyone is in the office :)
Comment: Christy, thanks so much for this postcard ... I do believe [no, I don't just believe but I'm SURE!] that it is my absolute all time favorite postcard I've received. It's the one with the chicken if you don't remember what card you sent to who [I have that problem at times. lol] Anyways, great words and the PERFECT postcard. I love chickens [can ya tell? Ha ha!]
Response: yw! and I am so glad you liked the chicken PC :D
Comment: Hi Christy! Thank you for sharing about your weekend and the goodies - very nice of you! Sound like you had an enjoyable and relaxed weekend - a person cannot ask for more than that! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Thank you for the notecard, AND an extra card. Hooray! I love your motto: "2018, yet to be seen". For one, it rhymes, and also I love the idea of keeping an open mind and being flexible. Whatever happens to you this year, I hope it's wonderful.
Response: yw :) getting good advice from strangers is always a good time lol
Comment: Congrats on getting to go to England a second time! I got to go once in 2010, and I would love to go back! I hope you have a ton of fun. Thank you so much for the journal cards! I was just looking up youtube videos yesterday on journals cards, and voila! You sent me some :)
Response: thanks so much! I can't wait to go back!
Comment: Cute notecard...I love that the envelope was colored on the inside and plain white on the outside...It's like a nice little surprise inside LOL....also thanks for the cute mini card and envie! .... hope whatever you chose to do that you had a good and safe time...
Comment: Hi Christy ! Once again, I was teamed up with you, hee! And, once again, you sent another awesome book. All the books you had sent me, are all read and passed on. I'm reading a witchy book right now and not long to go on it and will be reading L.A. Candy next. It looks so darn good and can't wait !
Merry Christmas Christy !
Comment: Dear Christy,
Drawing with marker-like pens creates a great effect that I didn't realize your drew the card at first glance! Thank you so much for your postcard :-) I went to some Thanksgiving events held at school last week. And for the break this week, I traveled to Chicago and Milwaukee. It was a great trip and I enjoyed it a lot! Happy Hoidays!
Comment: Hi Christy! Thank you for your great letter and the fun kawaii goodies. I like everything, but the alpaca page markers make me giddy. :) I'm so glad this swap is back -- it's one of my very favorites! Thank you for hosting it!!
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful notecard and the extra card you included! Happy belated birthday to you! I always extend the celebration to be the entire 30 days surrounding my actual birthday. That way I can have several small more leisurely parties instead of one huge one where I don't get to even talk to everyone. It works out pretty well, except for my food plan going to pieces. LOL!!
Comment: Thank you for the warm autumn greetings, adorable bat and moth stickers, and for sharing your Windy City weather! It's finally cool enough to wear sweaters here; I will take all the fall-ish weather I can get ^_^ Hope the temperatures even out near you!
Comment: what a nice view of Kentucky ...
i would be up for checking out their cities,
but grateful for the natural areas
that continue to balance out & surround
the urban amenities!
have a fun fall season ~
Comment: Thank you for the flower note card and the extra hooray card. I will use it in the future. October is great so far. I have already decorated my house and my cubicle at work. I just found a witch at an antique store I had to have. The decorating doesn't stop for me until the 31st!
Response: yw! :) keep going on that decorating! Sounds like you are in the spirit!
Comment: My good luck to be partnered with you again! It's it a new job that you're talking about? I feel the same way when I'm cast in a new show. Community theaters are **very** (underline, bold, exclamation point, highlighted) clique-y. Everyone else seems to know everything about each other, and I'm the outsider. I love the card! Really my style. Where do you get the cute notecards you include with?
Response: Yep - a new job. It's been hard to try to warm up to some people, as hard as I try the effort isn't reciprocated! Cannot stand cliques!
I get a LOT of my notecards from Michaels - I love to raid the dollar deal bins for stationery! :)
Comment: Hi Christy! Received the book swap today & thank you so much! Why on earth did you send me 2 books for? You didn't have to do that dear! But thank you from the bottom of my heart! I can't wait to read them now! But made me feel guilty. Since I only sent one book. Thank you again.
Response: yw! :) It was my pleasure to send two! I have so many I want to share! :)
Comment: Cute notecard and thank you for the extra one. Of course we all want to be the best version of our selves. Sometimes that is hard, but as long as you have the motivation, you are right the sky is the limit. :-)
Comment: Belated thank you for the colorful view of Las Vegas -- hope you are having (had?) fun on your trip :) -- cute skateboarding bear sticker, and for the reminder to cull and re-organize my own stationery collection ^_^;;
Comment: Belated thank you for this striking shot of WWII-era soldiers, funny emoji stickers, and for your speedy spring wishes -- I am grateful that my allergies have almost subsided (usually they're gone by now :p I am looking forward to getting out to the park for a few runs each week, but I'm excited to start attending Zumba again as a student for the first time in almost 2 years :O) Happy almost-weekend!
Comment: Hello Christy,
What a beauty!!! You did a marvelous job coloring this postcard. I love the colors you use on this postcard. This will be a great asset to my Colored Postcard Collection.
Comment: What a lovely Paris-themed notecard! I agree with your list wholeheartedly! It's hard to watch the news or even go on Facebook with everything hateful happening these days! Thanks for hosting such a thoughtful swap! And thank you for the nice extra notecard you sent!
Comment: Thank you so much! Air conditioning is my friend. We ate dinner this evening at a new Church's chicken and it was soooo cold in there I thought I was turning into an ice cube. Now that's the air conditioner to have.
Comment: Thank you for the whimsical big top performer doll card -- apropos after my sister and I watched Big Fish for the first time last night :) -- and adorable tabby sticker, Christy! Good luck with your garage sale! :)
Comment: Hello Christy,
Thank you for the beautifully colored postcard you sent me for this swap. I love the colors you used to color this postcard. I will add this to my other colored postcards I have gotten through previous swap.
Comment: Cool tile! Thank you for hosting this series as well as the atc version. I love to Zentangle but find that I don't make time for it much lately so these swap series have got me back into it and I am having a lot of fun with them.
Response: thank you!!! I am right there with you! This kind of forces me to get that creative time in :)
Comment: Thank you for the awesome "B"! :) I've been thinking about adding color, too, since I usually just do B&W. Seeing how great it looks on your ATC, I definitely think I'm going to try it on the next one.
Comment: I am so excited to get one of these women in science cards already! I have this box in my cart on Amazon, but I just can't justify more postcards yet. From where I'm sitting I can see my PC shelf with 22 boxes, 13 folio books, and several large stacks of loose cards. It's a lot... too many to get more... okay, I have 3 boxes on order too... but those were 75% off! I don't have a problem.... :)
Response: I agree that you can NEVER have too many postcard sets... I think we may have snagged the same sale - I got Animal Box for 5$ so I bought TWO sets of that one as well as Marimeko postcards... A deal hard to pass up! :)
Comment: Hi Christy - Thank you very much for the sweet Easter Card and the notecard, memo sheets and sticky notes. I appreciate and love everything. ps: first time I've seen that postage stamp - it's gorgeous!
Response: yw ^^ I am so in love with those stamps! I need to get more - perfect for spring!
Comment: Thanks for your letter, and love these kawaii swaps by the way. And that roses are red joke, then that comment you made on it - surely tickled my throat.
P.S. Checked out your YT channel, super cool- and I really want to try that crate!
Response: yw :) and thanks! Japancrate was really fun, but now they have DokiDoki, which is ALL KAWAII!
Comment: Hi Christy! Thank you so much for your wonderful letter and the goodies. It's so funny you mentioned wanting to learn Python because in my letter to my partner, I told her that I wanted to learn Angular. That's awesome!
Response: yw :) how neat! Just looked it up and now I want to learn that too..! :P
Comment: Hello Christy,
Thank you for the beautiful postcard you created for me for this swap. I like your combination of colors you used on the birds and on the flowers. I will add it to my Postcard Collection.
Comment: Thanks! Weird, I didn't think of this question as about a person too. My inspiration doesn't come from people either. I agree, I hate celebrity glorification, especially ones that are famous for being famous.
Response: Right? So many great people to look up to, but these celebrities these days get instant glorification for the stupidest reasons.
Comment: Thank you! Im totally looking into this line. Im always looking for vegan products. Im getting sick of companies one day testing and next day not. Testing is the bottom line for me. Im thinking vegan ..just thinking vegan products would never be tested but never say never, eh?
Response: I hear you on that one! You never really know these days.. But if you do consider, get that coconut toner lol!
Comment: I love cinnabons too! I just had to force myself to walk back the cinnabon place in the mall at the food court last week. The sad thing is I had just picked up some fully loaded french fries. :( They were good, hehe!
Comment: Thanks for hosting this swap-I always like to get cards on holidays. thanks for sending me one-nice-and thanks for the extras. The note card and envelope was just the thing I needed when I was working on my St Patrick's Day flip book! The coloring postcard looks like fun! Thanks for sharing and Happy St Patty's Day to you too!
Comment: Thanks for the notecard and extra feather notecard! Your stash sounds like mine...although I can't say mine's that extensive. I have an old 70's suitcase full of my stationary and cards. 😄 Happy swapping!
Comment: Belated thank you for the delectable assortment of chard, eggplant, and fiddleheads -- that last one reminds me of the Witch's Rap from Into the Woods, although the lyric there is "fiddleferns and lettuce" :) Hope you are staying warm! The weather's been in the mid-50s, which I like, but my cats still don't. Happy almost-weekend!
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful postcard. It is really cool. I have not seen that postcard book before. I will be on the look out for it. I love the tiger. Thanks for hosting these great swaps. It gives me something to do with alll the coloring I do at work. LOL
Response: yw! happy to be using it finally lol :) I'll be hosting them probably forever haha - or until I run out of PCs to color :D
Comment: Thanks so much for the Strawberry, Kiwi and Spinach salad recipe 🥗 ..... Now I'm not going to lie I don't like fruit in my salad... 😧"Say What" , but my mother and sister would love this recipe.â¤
Response: You are very welcome :) I tend not to put fruit in my salad either XD but after trying strawberries I must say it's a game-changer!
Comment: This was a super cute swap idea. You sent me some wacky fun stuff. I think the centipede is hilarious. I saw the hair tie lollipops when I was shopping and thought they were cute. Thank you it was all fun madness, that I plan to enjoy.
Response: Glad you liked everything I sent along! I plan to host another in the near future. :)
Response: This was a "5" rating a few days ago... If you didn't receive a card why not just contact me? I don't mind resending. Just saw that you did in fact PM. Just logged in today. Sending another card out 1/14/17.
UPDATE: 1/23/17 She received the card I resent. Thank you for re-rating :)
Comment: Thank you for the great postcard. I need to find a set that is easier to color. Mine are all complex. I loved the quote at the bottom, " To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people just exist." Oscar Wilde
Response: yw :) Yeah, I found I have many sets that just take forever to color - not that I mind, but these are a bit simpler which is nice. Glad you liked that quote too! ^^
Comment: Happy New Year Greetings from Illinois,
Sorry for the late rating. I was gone from home 12/20/16 and had my mail held to be delivered 12/31/16. It was just delivered today, 1/4/17!!
So here I am with 30 swaps to rate. It's a good day.
Thank you for being my partner AND for all the extras. What a unique dress notecard. Love it!
p.s. thank you for hosting such a neat swap!
Response: Thanks for the rate! 😸 it's no problem :) and always happy to host!
Comment: Hi Christy! Loved your pc - may I ask what markers you used? I am finding I am not very good at this coloring gig but I am enjoying it, so... LOL! It got up to 40 yesterday and felt wonderful! LOL! I am so not ready for the deep freeze cold - sigh! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Response: Thanks for the rate! 😸 I used a brand from Michael's called "Craft Smart" or something like that. It's a decent set of markers for less than 10 bucks if you use a coupon!
Comment: Belated (I guess the card took the really scenic route, lol? the postmark is from October, but I just got it the other day) thank you for the charming drawing of Lombard Street -- it made me remember playing Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 as a kid with my brother :) I used to enjoy playing as Elissa Steamer. Hope you are having a good week!
Comment: Thanks for the happy little notecard & for the santa paper! So cute! The book you told me about sounds like it is very good! I am going to see if our library can get it for me. Thanks! Merry Christmas!
Comment: Thank you for the vivid, hilarious but true "holy trinity" card (I also love the artist's handwriting :D), adorable acorn and pumpkin stickers, and happy wishes, Christy, and thank you for so many rounds of this fun swap ♥
Comment: I'm so very sorry I was cleaning and moving things around for the Christmas tree and I found your cards I'm so very sorry for the late rating. Yellow stone is very beautiful if you could ever go I would and the log cabin sounds great wish I could do the same thing. Thanks again and I very sorry.
Comment: Thank you for the magical view of the Intracoastal Waterway -- I smiled to see that Albert Gallatin, who has ties to Alexander Hamilton and figures in Ron Chernow's biography of Haimlton, was responsible for its inception :) I also love the reminder of a quote (something I thought about this week) and adorable pumpkin sticker. Hope you and your family had a good Thanksgiving <3
Comment: I was so pleased to get your coloring PC because I wanted something to compare mine with. I use colored pencils and I think I've got a way to go to compare to you. Excellent work. Thank you so much, I loved it.
Comment: Thank you for the super-chic Blythe doll card (I'm liking the high-waisted, patterned A-line maxi skirt with a sold top ;) and sparkly Halloween stickers and greetings! Are you dressing up as anyone/thing this year? The weather and costumes were my favorite part of Halloween as a kid! <3
Comment: Thanks for the notecard and stickers 😋 There are so many little things to appreciate like friends and hard cider and the weather finally staying under 90 for the first time in a billion years. And it's hard to beat a comfy bed and a good book 📚. Have a great day, Nathan
Comment: Thank you for the majestic pronghorn antelope card (I know that his Animagus was a deer, but of course, I thought of James Potter, heheh) and cheery Halloween stickres, Christy :) Hope you had a good camping trip and that the weather continues to be crisp <3 I am in a better mood today because it's markedly less humid and cooler *dances*
Comment: Thank you for the gorgeous card :) I recall reading an article about the prismatic and other springs in Yellowstone being damaged by people throwing coins and other foreign objects into the springs, which caused the bacteria that gives the pools their vibrant colors to die off. Hopefully awareness of this sad fact will eventually deter people from throwing stuff in and it can return to it's former beauty one day :)
Response: yw :) It is a sad reality... Perhaps one day changes will be made :/
Comment: I love this card - so cute! I love pumpkin spice too - they had the best pumpkin spice hand soap at bath and body works last year and I hope they will have something similar this year too. Fun extra card too - thanks.
Comment: Belated thank you for the Prank University card (I have never seen that book/boxed set!), adorable glittery jack o'lantern sticker (I have been champing at the bit to break out my "October"/Halloween stickers and washi), and encouraging quote, Christy! Happy Autumn <3 I can't wait to go running in cooler weather ;_;
Comment: Thank you so much for the pretty postcard and the interesting vocabulary words. I love learning and using new words. My sincerest apologies about how long it's taken me to get my ratings caught up. I look forward to seeing you around the swaps. Have a great day!
Comment: Love this PC Christy! My son just found, at a thrift store, around 100 old fashioned fruit crate labels....he gave me some and I want to have them framed...they are awesome!! Best part is they were sold by weight, they are vintage and he paid about $2 for all of them!!!
