Comment: Love the catd and the stamps! The washitape! Your handwriting does make it more interesting.... Thank you! Sorry for my late rating, must have cleaned the table and put those cards in box and left it in a closet...forgotten... :-(
Comment: This is a great package. I really relate to the message you wrote inside the card and the envelope is a work of art in itself, with all those beautiful stamps. Thank you, too, for the washi tape.

Thank you for a wonderfully catty surprise. Your zine is wonderful and I am enjoying the card, postcard, tape and stickers. Have yourself a Meowy little Christmas too. 🎄🎄🎄
Comment: I love your wonderfully decorated and envelope and all the stamps on it, it is beautiful and made my day when I pulled it out of the mailbox. I enjoyed reading your note inside, thank you. And thank you very much for the tags, stickers and washi, I’m start to Run out of Christmas washi so this is very much needed - thank you. My mailbox has been full every day and I’m loving it. Have a great Christmas and may your mailbox be full as well. â¤ï¸ðŸ’œðŸ’šðŸ’–💙
Comment: I feel you - I literally AM Gudetama most days :P I was ahead on my x-mas shopping game but somehow I fell behind, oops XD Hope you have an egg-cellent [see what I did there?] holiday! ^^
Response: Bahahaha, I'm glad you love Gudetama, too (and puns ^___^) Glad you've begun your Christmas shopping -- I started this week and am slowly but surely acquiring everything. I love making lists, buying things for family/friends, and of course, wrapping :D Hope you also have a great holiday celebration!
Comment: Received my envelope, just waiting to open it up! The envelope is VERY Christmasy! Love it! Edit: I love what you included in my envie! Everything was very thoughtful! Love the Cinderella postcard!
Comment: I have never read a Jane Austen book so I am making a deal with myself to get one read in 2018, same as Agatha Christie. Thanks for the great postcard! I really loved it! Seriously pictured it was me reading alone and letting the world go by :)
Comment: Thank you for everything!! I am going to have so much fun using everything. You did such an amazing job getting things that I absolutely love! It does sound like it was an unforgettable experience being a movie assistant. Hope that you and your family have a great Thanksgiving.
Comment: Hello Avi . . . what a wonderful parcel filled with kitties! Not only were all the stationery items amazing, but you wrapped them so beautifully it was like receiving a gift! I'm with you about taking an extra piece of luggage with you on your next trip ;+)
Comment: As much as I hate to do this, the deadline was 10/25 and the postmark was 10/31...almost a week later. I love the cards you send, but I have to rate fairly.
Response: I understand that the ratings system can't work if swappers don't rate honestly/fairly. I don't know what happened; I checked my Notepad file of October swaps, and yours was one of the very first cards I stamped, decorated, and wrote for this swap. My other cards seem to have arrived in a timely manner. I don't intend to incur anymore 3s and hope we can swap again in the future. Best regards, Avi :)
Comment: thank you for the most lovely halloween swap. your letter, card and extras were so thoughtful and exactly what makes me giddy! really, a simple thank you + a rating does nothing in terms of how lovely your snail mail was. you made my day!
Comment: Where do I start? Thank you SO much for the wonderful postcards....they are just perfect and I am very glad I have met you through this swap....thanks also for the lovely Halloween card and beautiful note.....I really appreciate all that you sent!!

Comment: Thank you for the beautiful Japan postcard, Avi! I would love to live down the road. Well, not in Japan I guess. My favorite part is the bright pink birdhouse (if that is what it is) of course!
Comment: Thank you so much for the amazing card!!! I’m a classically trained singer and I love all things Broadway. I went to NYC in High School and was privileged enough to see Patti LuPone on Broadway- it’s one of my favorite life experiences!
Comment: Hi Avi -- thanks for the cat card (and nice old cat stamps). I am really enjoying my new cat (currently called "Fake News"; we'll see if it sticks). So sweet and cuddly and -- sigh -- making a wreck of the house, haha. Best, al
Comment: Hi Avi, thank you for the Harry Potter postcard! It must have been delivered by owl, because I found it in the letterbox on Monday morning even though I'm sure I had emptied the box on Saturday after the weekend post had come!
Comment: thanks hunnybunches for such a sweet mailbox surprise ...

Comment: I loved the envie! Thank you! Has anyone told you that your handwriting is excellent? I love it. Also, this is probably the longest letter I've received to date! Almost makes me feel bad because I'm not much of a writer. But I do try. I'm glad you liked Tokyo. It's one of my favourite places in the world and I always want to go back. I'd love to send you thank you mail so when you have the time, do drop me your address!
Comment: Ah Indiana ... once while passing through Indianapolis, I found the most magnificent Vietnamese restaurant in the suburbs. Very luxe -- all the cars in the lot were Mercedes and BMWs. Of course, I stopped. Unexpeceted, which made it all the more marvelous a find. Best, al

Comment: Thank you! My favorite running gear? I have to admit that I'm pretty cheap and have been running in the same gear for the past 4-5 years! Most of it is Old Navy or off brand things I pick up at Marshall's. I always want to buy new stuff, but the penny pincher in my quickly reminds me that what I have works just fine.
Comment: Avi!! You are THE BOMB DIGGEDY!!! :-) Thanks SO MUCH for the AWESOME postcard! The stamps,,,WOW!! And the icing on the cake? It comes from my favorite city!! I hope you know how blessed you are! Cheers, Theresa

Comment: You get all the hearts! I was delighted to receive your letter, and I'm pleased with the ways our interests align. The favorite things you sent me are magnificent! The awesome variety of postage and a whole world of washi tape, almost all new to me (how is that even possible?), the beautiful watercolor feathers and the happy colorful card...I could go on, but I'm pretty sure I'd bump all of your other ratings off the page. Suffice it to say I'm wonderfully happy to have you as a swap partner, and I look forward to sending to and receiving from you as much as possible. ♥ Have a nice day. OH! The gorgeous envelope, too! So cool! :)
Comment: Believe it or not your awesome penguin PC showed up today! (Postmark is April 28!!!) Crazy mail....anyway, it's absolutely wonderful, thank you so much!
Response: You are so welcome! I'm glad you liked it :) Wow, I guess the penguins wanted to take the scenic route? :O I remember reading in the forums that a fellow swapper said the mail sometimes gets rerouted to other states before coming back to her region; I wonder why. My sister and I could have stayed watching those penguins and puffins the whole afternoon, haha!
Comment: Avi, thank you so much for the beautiful San Francisco card, and the BEAUTIFUL stamps you placed so carefully on it! I just adore the Archie one and the Georgia O'Keeffe one...and of course the Golden Gate Bridge one! I could tell immediately from glancing at your writing that it was from you! I hope that you're able to cross San Fran off your travel list soon :) Happy swapping! P.S. Mrs. Doubtfire was one of my fave movies when I was little!

Wish I could give you 1 million hearts ðŸ˜. I love the washi, I love the stamps, I love the stickers! thank you so much I sincerely appreciate it. Amazing!!
Comment: Hi Avi! Well...I got your card a couple days ago and I remember typing you a message and I must not have hit 'Save Ratings' at the bottom--so sorry about that as I always rate things the day that I receive them! My brain is foggy lately I think! Anyhoo...thank you so much for the Alice in Wonderland postcard--I liked it! :)
Comment: Dear Avi! You made my day with this Alice in wonderland pcs with awesome stamps! It's new for my collection! And you handwriting is so unique:) if you have more Alice pcs for swap I'll gladly send you anything instead!
Comment: I love all the unique stamps and stickers you managed to cram in, thank you! Super cute literary card, as well. :) I haven't read Room yet, but it seems to be on everyone's TBR list, so I will have to check it out soon.
Comment: Ahh. The book, not the movie - so did you see the movie? It was good, but truthfully, had my mother not wanted to see it, I would never have chosen to myself. Not my subject matter. Hope you're enjoying it. Great hearing from you, Avi!
Comment: Thank you so much for the Star Wars PC! Sorry for the late rating. I'm trying to do some cleaning today and just noticed it had not been rated. I apologize. I recently read that Harrison Ford was not there to try out for the part that day. He was working on the electrical stuff there and they just asked him to read the part to help out the person that was trying for another part. They were not selected but he was.
The Force was with him! LOL!
Comment: Thank you so much for the awesome Disney pc. It is the first for my Tokyo Disney collection. I love it! I wish I could give you extra hearts for the awesome stamps and message. So happy you enjoyed your trip. Have a wonderful week. =)

I've only been to Japan, and would Love to go to Manila and Singapore. Very Happy to hear you spent quality time with your sister too! I intend to frame your "envelope" with the wonderful stamps surrounding the David Bowie Exhibition flyer. All the extras you sent are gratefully appreciated...and your writing is addictingly cool (Please submit it for a font style). All the Best, and Domo Arigatou Gozaimasu! Matane!!

Comment: Wow, Avi! Thank you ever so much for this Zootopia postcard! I LOVE IT!!! :-) I learned of Zootopia last summer (I think), but I only finally watched it (and fell in love with it) after the DVD was released and given to me for my December birthday last year. :-) Thank you so much for sharing!!! <3
Comment: My favorite simple smoothie recipe is a banana protein shake:
-2 frozen bananas
-1 tsp or so stevia/sweetener
-1 small scoop protein of your choice
-1-2 c. milk of your choice
Sometimes I add cacao powder if I want a chocolate-y smoothie :)
The frozen bananas have such a nice texture and adds a lot of sweetness :) it's my lazy go-to!
Comment: first off love love the star wars pc. it def put a smile on my face!!! the extra thought into the star wars stamp was awesome to!!!! thank u so much!!!! i always love reading your handwriting its like a private message. haha have a good day avi!

Comment: Took a minute to decipher your handwriting, but once I did... :) I agree with you about merchandise. A friend of mine just went to an anime con and surprised me with a Sailor Pluto plush. The washi tape made me happy - I actually named my cat Brynn Diana. Diana after the grey kitten in Sailor Moon.
I had a black cat too, so your postcard made me lots happy.
Comment: It seems like you picked out every detail for me--even the stamps!! What are the odds you have a Williams & California stamps? Also, I've never seen the Alice washi before! The card is super cool, thank you!

You're so awesome and I thank you.
Comment: I can't say how perfect this postcard is! Everything. Just everything. An Edgar Allan Poe stamp?!? Seriously?! Ugh so awesome.
Oh, haha and I did the same thing! I rewatched the animated Beauty and the Beast! And then I went to watch the new one that just came out. ;)
Thanks so much! You totally made my day!
Comment: Thank you Avi for the fascinating Japanese Bobtail postcard you sent to me for the "Cat" PC swap. Interesting info about Japanese cats. Also loved the Oscar de la Renta postage stamp. Yes, I'm sad I'm allergic to cats. Though I can see cats on internet. Yes, the pollen mask with the valve is important to help keep cool during pollen season warmer/hot temperatures. Wearing one now when I go out as Central FL has tree pollen in Red zone. My asthma is bad right now, must wait before I'm able to join swaps again. Love the way you decorated the message side of cat PC. Fun swap!
Comment: Thank you for the postcard! I love halloween themed ones :) I give my cat a big hugs...sometimes he likes it, sometimes he doesn't... LOL But they are so soft and squeezable. I can't help myself :)
Comment: Whoa. I'm stunned by everything from your philately to your penmanship. I'm so happy you joined my silly little swap and thankful for every bit of your black and white mailing. Someday I'll figure out how to away a million hearts. Till then, I'm pretty sure I'm going to put the envelope you sent into a shadowbox. :)
Comment: You seriously deserve so many hearts for this! It's such a unique postcard, and so perfect...then you added cat washi, PUSHEEN, and Jetoy stickers AND a Dr.Seuss and T.S. Eliot stamp...I mean, really...this was crazy awesome! Thank you! â¤ï¸ðŸ’™ðŸ’œðŸ’›ðŸ’š
Comment: Great swap starting with the fun decorated envelope-even a Dr Seuss stamp. Very nice letter you wrote with all the quotes included! Thanks for the good variety of washi tape the bookmarks and the WONDERFUL postage stamps for my collection! Loved it all! You really looked at my profile and I appreciate it!
Comment: Thank you for the wonderful postcard! I absolutely love the cute washi tape you used and all the stamps are amazing. Also, your handwriting is just lovely. This card totally made my day. We seem to have a lot in common - also love zumba! I hope all is well and thank you again.
Comment: For the most part I'm liking eating mostly vegan. The hardest struggle is cheese. I've tried a few substitutes but MAN are they expensive..! Making macaroni and cheese becomes quite a costly task. And forget pizza lol! [Though I think I'm going to attempt this week.. :o]
Comment: A friend of mine has been talking about making macarons for weeks. I am going to forward your card to her! Thanks! Oh, and one more thing: I love your handwriting. Very distinctive! Sorry I keep updating my comment - but I forgot to tell you how much I appreciated your great postage stamps. I have a lot of vintage stamps ,but have never seen that particular 10-cent stamp series. Nice!!
Comment: i always love getting a pc from you! your handwriting is so unique and i finally figured out how to read it Avi! we decorate our tree the day after Thanksgiving and it stays up until after Epiphany. have a good day!

Comment: I'm enjoying this piece of mail so much!! Such a lovely, sweet image on the card! Love the cute puffy cat stickers and those stamps of the women with letters WOW, love!! Somehow they did not get canceled! The other stamps are great too. Your handwriting is very unique and artistic, really enjoyed hearing about your Valentine traditions. Thank you!! ☺
Comment: Hi Avi! How fun that you have a Trader Joe's nearby - I have to travel about 45 minutes to go to the closest one to us, but we love when they have Kringles in, so very worth it! LOL! The macarons on your chunk look awesome! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: I haven't been to a class in a very long time. I always preferred the workout classes to the actual gym. I had actually planned on going with a friend to Zumba this week, but then I got free tickets to a local artist comedy show and went with her to that instead. Maybe we will make it out this week. :)
Comment: Avi i didnt realize until today how much i miss getting one of your beautifully artfully decadent postcard. I had to look over everything so carefully because your pcs are a work of art! Wow1. I have missed your beautiful swaps and your lovely stories! I think you need to write a book and i willl be happy to loan you my pcs that you sent me for the book. Each one is a treasure and you know i have missed being in swap with you! Everything was just AMAZING! I loved the story and what you have been doing and just those it'ty bitty precious stamps even i have never seen before and i am turning 60 this year! Wow! You are a dear friend and anyone who doesnt get a chance to swap with you is surely missing out on your gifts of sharing. I just love you and feel so honored you would be my swap bot partner and share what you so generously give! You have been a great teacher for me! THANK YOU! I love to reread them at night before going to bed as i sit up and think about my day! A bright light you are!
P.S. LOVED the square postcard of cats curled up together. You were so generous to part with the postcard as it was stunning and a real keeper! I am going to paint a series of cats this year! Your postcard made me realize that it is time to bring the furry ones in my art! THank you for reminding me it is time to know it is raining cats around here!
Comment: This postcard reminds me of a perfect fall day. My husband is a big reader. He has a couple of prolific authors he loves, but a few who take their sweet time, ha! I, on the other hand, gave up reading a long time ago. I may return to it some day. We'll see.
Comment: I am very sorry for taking so long to rate. I enjoyed reading your answers! I truly hope you accomplish everything you set out to do this year! I also want to thank you for the postcard! It had actually gotten buried--I just found it today and made me look to see I hadn't rated yet--and it's nice to find another lover of Miss Fisher! I haven't finished the series yet! My mom and I are close though, only 5 more episodes! Have you heard that they are planning to make a trilogy of movies!
Comment: Thank you for a swap we shall both remember for your thoughtfulness and generosity and your pretty decorated envelope (even with Mickey and other lovely stamps) that got eaten and emptied by the postal machines!
Comment: I wish I could give more than one heart! I was having a really bad day, lots of stress and all, and I opened my mail box and your beautiful envelope was there. I litterally burst into tears when I opened it! In a good way lol. It really made my day day and made me smile :) Thank you so much xx
Comment: Hi Avi! I hope you were able to snuggle up with that book and enjoy. I have not had time to read for a long while, but it is on the short list of things to do. This weekend is really cold so who knows! Thanks for the great vintage card. Have a great weekend! Jan
Comment: This postcard is a great first contender for BEST POSTCARD OF 2017!!! I absolutely adore the stamps and the selection--thank you so much for that!! I hope that you manage to keep up on the 2 books a week--that's a HUGE amount!!
Comment: Oh, you have the most wonderful postcards. I just love this Jacek Staniszewski card. Lovely. Receiving your cards is like an event. I love seeing them in the stack and try to save them for last. :) You put me to shame.
Response: You are too kind, Brian :) I am glad you enjoy receiving my cards! I always love picking out cards, stamps, and other decorations that I think my partner/s would enjoy :)
Comment: Hi Avi! Loved the PC! especially the dinosaur stamp (I have a collection ;)) My husband keeps bugging to see the Rogue One movie with him ... I enjoy the classic Star Wars movies ad its harder for me to get into these lol! I really want to go see the new Underworld movie... I have seen all of the preexisting movies and I have not been disappointed since
Comment: This package was so awesome and it totally made my day! So much adorable cat goodness! I would give you multiple hearts if I could. :D My cat, Leprecat O'Kin and I thank you very, very much. (ETA: Ahaha, I didn't realize the postage was all the amazing stamps PLUS the $3.13. That makes much more sense in equivalency to Canada Post.)
Comment: Thanks for another nice postcard and excellent postcard back. Choice poet stamps and washi tape, too. For a while now I've been reading a poetry anthology "A Book of Luminous Things." And for the winter, the Everyman's anthology "Seasons."
Comment: It took me a long time to read All the light we cannot see. I didn't put it down until I got halfway through and then I kept putting it down so I wouldn't end it too fast.
Response: Exactly! I wanted to know how everything worked out, but I didn't want to leave that magical world -- it amazed me how breathtaking and spellbinding Mr. Doerr's writing is and how he managed to plumb wonder and good from even wartime. Hope you read many more gems this year :) I am currently reading Lewis and Christie this week.
Comment: La, la, la, same, same, la la la...BOOM!!!! Your card arrives and is simply awesome. Your effort is immediately obvious. I shall keep on display as an example of "How It's Done" : ) and so many stamps! We don't deserve it ! Seriously Good. Thanks! Raoul & Jeanette
Comment: I used to dislike Valentine's Day, now I'm on the border of apathy and amusement. It was fun as a kid like you said with the cookies and the required cards. It got harder growing up. My older brother gave me flowers on Valentine's Day when we were in high school, whether I had a boyfriend or not. So it kind of put it in my brain that it's a day about love and not necessarily the romantic kind. Nowadays I give my kids Valentine tests and send my best friend a bouquet of flowers. Thank you for the washing and stickers. The stamps made me SMILE. :)
Comment: I love getting postcards from you! I got lucky! I hope you get some trips in before your passport expires. It's expensive...I had to renew mine last year before I went to St. Martin. I have some years left now :)
Comment: Every time I see an envelope from you in my mailbox, I think, she can't possibly outdo this one, and yet, you always do! Love the envelope, love the stamps and washi on the envelope, love the postcards, and ADORE that typewriter card!! Agh! I'll keep it with my other prized cards and contemplate sending it off one day. Thank you so, so much! (I am still working on this swap; what I'm sending you will be a little different than everyone else's. I think I mentioned that I was working on something for you--at the beginning of Dec!--and I'm still putting it together. I'll explain the delay in my note! Hope you are enjoying 2017 so far!)
Comment: Hi Avi! Thanks for hosting this great swap! Since I joined Audible I hardly ever read a real book anymore. I listen during my commute and while I'm doing chores around the house. Right now I'm listening to Behind the Beautifil Forevers by Katherine Boo. I went ahead and downloaded both books you mentioned you were reading. They will be next on my list. Thanks, Robert
Comment: Thank you for the Why real books are great PC. I still like to read actual books. I listen to them at work on CD, but I don't download them onto my phone or tablet. Something very satisfying about turning the pages to see what happens next.
Comment: Thank you so much! It was such a delight finding Your absolutely stunning envelope in my mailbox. I really enjoyed your christmas memories and stories. Thanks again! I am super happy and super thankful!
Comment: I'm pretty sure the card I got was from you. Thanks for the fun card. I've been watching a lot of designing women this month! If that didn't mean anything to you, let me know.
Response: I'm glad you enjoyed the Tenniel/Alice card, Brian, and that you've been watching Designing Women! :) Thoroughly Modern Millie was my most favorite musical in high school, and I think how fun it would have been to see both Delta Burke's and Dixie Carter's takes on Mrs. Meers! It was a joy to see Ms. Potts as Berthe in the Pippin revival -- my friends and I waited in the cold until midnight to thank her at the stage door. Good times :) Thank you for the heart!
Comment: Hi Avi! I think I received your swap, the envelope was torn wide open and there was no return address and no paper inside with swap name etc (it probably fell out). There are 3 PCs, an Andy Warhol and 2 other art PCs. Let me know if this is not from you :) Have a great weekend!
PS I've been getting a lot of damaged mail this week, the PO has been rough on us lately!
Response: Thank you for your message, Karen :) I'm glad it arrived to you safely -- but I'm bummed the post office has been mangling your mail! Hope you are having a warm and cozy weekend :)
Comment: I love getting your postcards. The Jim Henson stamp is great too! hopefully the mama cat comes around to your kitten. Enjoy them. I have a 13 year old black cat named Charlie and he is my most loyal companion. They really do become family. Happy New
Comment: Thank you for the WONDERFUL happy mail!!
What an absolute joy to receive. :)
*My cats had been abandoned by my grandmother's neighbor...so we took them in. ♡
Oh my goodness!! I submitted your review too quickly!!! (..before I had opened the packet of stamps!) *teary-eyed* Such an AMAZING and incredibly thoughtful gift!!
Chaplin, Henson, Motion Pictures, Trains, Bridges, etc.........be still my heart!!
Comment: Dear Avi, I'm glad I got to be your partner again! I LOVE the postcard you sent for me, it's super cute and just the type of illustration that I enjoy. Thank you also for the cute assortment of stamps that you used, so cool! What a fun postcard to find in my mailbox. We have lots of snow these days, so sending you snowy greetings from Russia! Happy holidays!
Response: Thank you for the heart and your very kind words, Katya! I will take all of the snow that I can get :) I'm glad you liked The Nutcracker card; since I cannot watch it in person this year, I rented the 1993 NYCB film version, which was stunning :)
Comment: Love, love, love this Nutcracker illustration. Too adorable. I bought the newest Nutcracker movie, but haven't sat down to watch it yet. Maybe on Christmas Eve or Day to make it extra festive.
Comment: All I can say is wow....what a thoughtful, beautiful card. You really took the time to decorate it so nicely and write such gorgeous and thoughtful sentiments. Your gifts especially the cat item were beyond thoughtful down to even placing a menorah stamp on the envelope. I do hope our paths cross again in another swap! :) You truly are special person. PS Cajun/Creole cuisine is my favorite. PPS My fav restaurant of all time is Atchafalaya in NOLA.
Comment: Many thanks for the delightful Nutcracker postcard, and especially for the wonderfully done address side! Loved the vintage postage and fun washi. Your lettering is stand out! It was such a pleasure to receive your postcard after a long day of travel.
Comment: Oh my goodness - where do I start? This swap made me smile so much. I love the stamps on the envelope and the ones inside, especially the Titanic, owl and Shirley Temple. The owl notecard is too adorable to use, I may have to hoard it. I can't wait to use the airmail stickers and washi. I also love your handwriting - it would make a cool font. Thank you so much! Happy Swapping!
Comment: What a beautiful card! And those stamps .... I do love show tunes, all kinds -- and even the new live versions of older shows on TV. Somehow, show tunes make the tough days better :) What's your favorite? Happy holidays and a peaceful new year to you and yours!
Comment: Thank you for the cool Batman card. I would absolutely love to attend Batjuju! Batman has always been one of my favorites. I've been watching Wonder Woman on DVD. I love the old episodes. Happy Holidays!
Comment: Thank you so much for all the wonderful Happy Mail! I love it all, but that Alice in Wonderland washi made me swoon! :) Oh, and the Jetoy stickies. And the Audrey and Gregory Peck stamps. :) So much to love here! Thank you!
Comment: Thanks so very much for the lovely holiday postcard! It's going up with the rest of my holiday cards I've received. Yes, I did get to see A Year in the Life...binge watched it throughout Black Friday when my 2 1/2 year old would let me. 😊 I enjoyed it for the most part...Fall was my favorite! Thanks again and happy swapping!
Comment: Very sorry for the late rating. My daughter had your postcard I've been going crazy looking for it she's always taken my cards. Plus she really doesn't understand why she can't sometime or wait until i finish doing my rating. Thanks again for another wonderful postcard I hope you had a wonderful holiday Thanks again
Comment: Thank you so much! You could have just sent me that Judy Garland stamp, and I would've been happy! :)
Response: De rien! I'm glad you liked it all :) The other day I smiled as the NYT recommended Meet Me in St. Louis; I will have to rewatch it soon! I have never seen In the Good Old Summertime (or its predecessor, The Shop Around the Corner, all based on the Parfumerie play), which I should, since I love You've Got Mail and She Loves Me so much. Happy weekend, and thank you again for the heart :)
Comment: Thanks for another cool card Avi! Love getting them from you :D and I got that loose 'not a swap' kitty card tooo, Henny was over the moon for it (she's a very vain kitty, loves cards shaped like her). ♥♥♥
Comment: Thank you for the "Little Mermaid" postcard! You always decorate your postcards so nicely :-) How exciting to be singing with the New Orleans Vocal Arts Choir! Sadly, I'm not gifted with a sweet singing voice. Too bad I can't hear you sing! I hope you're having a lovely start to your week. Cheers, Elly

Comment: Ok, is it possible to give you 10 hearts for the envelope alone?! I absolutely LOVE everything about it! I too have the FLOW paper book and I recognised the paper and stickers immediately, but what I loved most was the stamps! An Archie comics stamp with Betty & Veronica, two dinosaur stamps (including stegosaurus!), a snowflake and a polar bear...all on one envelope! You ROCK! :) I loved reading your awesome letter, and the washi samples are all awesome! I adore the Litte Twin Stars one :) You’re an amazing swapper! Thank you for putting together such an amazing swap for me!!! Really wish I could give you more than one heart! Hope to swap with you again :)
Response: You are so welcome, Maggie :D Thank you for your kind, effusive message and heart that are lighting up this dreary, rainy Monday! So glad you also love dinosaurs, comics, and stationery <3 I also hope our paths cross again soon!
Comment: Hello again Avi! Thanks for sending a wonderful Disney card of the Little Mermaid. I have only seen one Disney Princess who have sung live and that is Lea Salonga. She is nice and a fellow Filipino. I hope you will see her perform live too. Best regards and I hope to swap with you again. Thanks likewise for using nice stamps! :)
Response: I'm glad you liked the card and stamps :) I enjoyed Ms. Salonga in Allegiance last fall and look forward to the cinema screening of the performance, so I can go with my parents. I hope she returns to Crazy Ex-Girlfriend this season, too :) Hope you are having a good day! Thank you for the heart <3
Comment: Thank you very much for your nice postcard! :) I actually like ballett/dance performances, until some few years ago I even danced ballett (as a hobby, not professional). And thanks a lot for such nice stamps!! :) I love space stamps! "The Planets" sounds interesting. I wish you all the best and have fun listening to it!

ENJOY the weekend! I am so happy that it's finally FRIDAY!! <3 xoxoxxo!!
Comment: Thank you for the great postcard! I never liked history in school, but I like historical movies. I really like the series "Victoria and Albert". You might like it since you like royal family history.
Comment: Oh my goodness I love my postcard!!! Thank you! I've been told that the Electrical Parade is actually coming back to Disneyland at the beginning of next year! I'm super excited ... haven't seen it since '96! Happy swapping! :) P.S. - Love your handwriting!
Comment: I have never before felt so right to give a heart for a postcard - this was great! Not only the quote, but ... did you actually choose the STAMPS based on my profile?? You MUST have, because DAMN, they were all so very fitting! The card, the stickers, the quote, the stamps ... this was a real JOY to receive, and it made my day. Thank you so much! (and a Dorothy Parker stamp!! I didn't know those EXISTED!) <3 <3
Comment: Hi! Thank you for the cute card. I'm so glad that you had fun at NY Comic Con!! Isn't it awesome? I've seen the wonder woman stamps and they are SO COOL!!! The SD comic con had two different wonder woman Comic Con t-shirts - I bought both!! LOL They are awesome. :-)
Comment: I love the card. I love Tennessee Williams. My favorite line from Streetcar is 'I've always relied on the kindness of strangers'. It was a line teasingly used often in my younger, single days.
Comment: Hi Avi! My card said Big Swap 10 but I could not find you there. Thanks for the great card. I am so glad you got to catch you with your friend. Those are always such happy times. Have a great weekend!
Comment: I'm sure you hear this all the time....but your handwriting-LOVE. I actually tried to mimic your handwriting, and someone at work asked me if I was drunk. Ha! Don't know how you do it-but I love it. Happy Swapping!
Response: You are too kind :) I am actually finally making myself start practicing and using the calligraphy set I purchased at the beginning of the year -- I would also love to train my left hand to write in a different font! Hope you are having a good week, and thank you for the heart <3
Comment: Thanks a bunch for your postcard with all the wonderful postage.. this card is definitely a keeper. The post office didn’t cancel the stamps, but they added what looks like a barcode over the bottom cm of the card so it took me a while to figure out who you were… Love your user name!
Sending you a message ....
Comment: Omg. I. Love. This. PC! Why? Because. I. Love. Ariel. Movie. Ariel. &Ursula. Are. My. Two. Fave. Character. There. Hhaa !

Comment: Thank you for the book themed postcards! I'm also amazed at your masterpiece envelope and stamp collage.
Response: I'm happy you liked it all, Hannah :) It is always a joy to make envelopes and curate stamps for my partners! p.s. Glad you received the first of my October PC Diary swap -- looking forward to your card soon :) <3
Comment: Thanks for the Gorey postcard, and all the cool stamps! Yes, they don't make 'em like Who is the Boss anymore. Good luck in your endeavor to bring it back. :-)
Response: I'm glad you enjoyed it all, and thank you for the heart :) Heheh, I hope that the current issue of Entertainment Weekly (October 7), with its Who's the Boss? reunion feature, helps in the effort -- the introduction not-so-subtly called streaming services to task :) I still want those DVDs, haha... Hope you're having a good week! <3
Comment: Thank you so much, my absolute favorites , the Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast (we have the 25th anniversary edition.) You really made my day.
Take Care Brenda.
Response: I am so glad you enjoyed the card :) Yahoo for BatB aficionados! I look forward to rewatching this remastered edition and the composers' roundtable special feature. Thank you for the heart, Brenda, and happy Wednesday!
Comment: I love black cats! Thanks for the postcard!
Response: You are very welcome :) My dad joked to my sister and me this morning, "Let's just stay home and play with the cats," haha... And my little Uling has taken to "hugging" the car door whenever we leave ;_; Happy Wednesday, and thank you for the heart <3
Comment: You always send the most awesome cards with amazing stamps. I was really into the Babysitters Club books when I was younger! Brings back memories!
Response: Thank you for your sweet message :) Glad you also enjoyed The BSC series -- I thought I was Claudia (artistic, slight proclivity for junk food >_<), but I identified with Mary Anne's detail-oriented nature and admired Stacey's and Kristy's handwriting the most, heheh! Thank you for the heart, and happy Monday! <3
Comment: Thanks for the card. It is very colorful. Good luck with seeing all your musicals. I am spending one night in Manhattan in October, and we are hoping to see "Something Rotten." Our local traveling season this year is not so hot, but I might see a few here too.
Comment: Thank you so much for the awesome Star Wars postcard and your book list! You have so much neat space washi. Also I had no idea there had been Star Wars stamps at some point. And BB-8. <3 <3 This pc made my day.
Response: You are so wonderful, Avery :) I'm happy the card, list, washi, postage, and BB-8 sticker made you smile! Hope you are having a good week, friend <3
Comment: Great postard. I loved the way you used stamps that matched the book ..hehehe. I love dinosaurs!
Response: Thank you for the heart! I'm glad you liked everything :) I was obsessed with the Stegosaurus as a child because I was assigned that for a kindergarten song-and-dance presentation at the fair; the summer afterwards, I remember on a road trip, I was happy to see a skeleton at a museum and take home its figurine and self-inking rubber stamp :) I wish I had known about the casting call for extras in Jurassic World -- I had a few friends who had fun on that shoot. Hope you are having a good week! <3
Comment: Belated thanks for an awesome swap from you. Your note was great; your handwriting intense. I liked both! <3
PS: Just noticed the 'Happy Bicentennial Australia!' Stamp from 1988. Wow, so cool! (Who knew koalas and bald eagles did razzle-dazzle vaudeville together?)
Comment: You have some of the best postcards! Thank you for this one!
Response: You are so kind -- I'm glad you like it (I remember making scenarios with my younger sister and our Quasimodo, Esmeralda, Phoebus, Hugo, and Djali toys as kids XD), and thank you for the heart <3
Comment: Hey! By any chance there's like two people in this account? Lol just cuz sometimes ur cards are like with colorful n pretty and writing and other cards would be Norma handwriting and short lol just asking!! Super curious!! lol thanks for taking the time :]
Response: Hi, Agape! No, I am the only one who sends cards through this account :) I strive to make each card artful -- in the beginning of the year, I only really used black ballpoint pen, and I didn't have as many washi tapes or stickers, so I used vintage stamps, but as I've gotten more into Swap-Bot, I've branched out with more embellishments :) I also really love my Sakura Gelly Roll pens. I try to write something more than just a quote or a line (if the space/swap guidelines permit). Thank you again for the heart :)
Comment: Hi Avi, just got ur ballet postcard today, wowee! Love the stamps!!! You just made my day 😊 Thx for going all the way with the dance/ballet theme, you're sooo kind. Hope to return the favor someday :)
Response: You are a dear -- I am glad you enjoyed everything :) Thank you for your kind words and heart <3 I couldn't believe that the New York City Ballet is already advertising its Fall season starting in a few weeks (Jewels is on my wishlist!) and Nutcracker performances :O
Comment: Oh wow! You write so neat, at first I thought it was in a different language and then ended up admiring your handwriting. Lovely Alice postcard also, thank you tons! I hope you're having an amazing week so far! :)
Response: Aww, thank you for your kind words -- I grew up being criticized handwriting-wise, so I still have days in which I don't feel great about it. I'm glad you enjoyed the card as well! Thank you for the good wishes and heart <3
Comment: LOVE this pc, we used to have an Aladdin musical at California Adventure and they had a Jasmine solo and it was so beautiful, they replaced it this year with a Frozen musical. :( I loved that show, the quality was phenomenal. Something about having a carpet flying overhead with Aladdin and Jasmine singin A Whole New World was just so magical.
Response: Ahhh, small world -- my dad's cousin was in that show as the head of the guard and sometimes Aladdin; I wish I had gotten to see it before it closed. I would also love to see the Broadway musical, too, since most of the principals (Adam Jacobs as Aladdin, Courtney Reed as Jasmine, Jonathan Freeman as Jafar, and James Monroe Iglehart as the Genie) are still in it! Happy week ahead, Mandi :) Thank you for the heart, and I'm glad you enjoyed the card <3
Comment: Avi! Thank you so so much for this amazing package. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile and send me these little treasures. I was so excited to open everything after I saw the way you beautifully decorated the envelope. Take care and happy swapping! :) P.S. I may be messaging you in the future about Pipsticks!
Response: You are so welcome, Julia! I am pleased as punch that you enjoyed everything -- it was a joy to read your profile :) Thank you for the heart and your sweet words! (Just let me know re. Pipsticks ;)
Comment: Thanks for the Empire State Building postcard. Just going to New York any time of the year is a wish of mine :)
Response: You are so welcome -- thank you for the heart :) I agree, I love NYC in any season. I've always wondered if I'd feel the same if I were living there under less-than-pie-in-the-highrise-sky circumstances :)
Comment: Thanks for the nice postcard, Brooklyn Nine-Nine fellow! I loved all the stamps!
Response: You are so welcome :) I'm glad you enjoyed them all! I remember how surprised I was to hear Stephanie Beatriz's real-life/non-Rosa speaking voice, heheh. I also love the episode in which Terry can't stop eating those cacao nibs ^.^
Comment: This was a kick bootie swap! THANK YOU. You went above and beyond and sent me so many things I love. I have to admit to being especially fond of the kitty washi tape. :) Oh, and I LOVE your handwriting!
Response: Thank you for your kind message :D I am so happy you liked everything -- the kitty washi tapes are some of my most favorite! You are also very sweet to like my handwriting! Hope you and Beau are having a good weekend!
Comment: HI! Thank you for the over-the-top postcard! I just love, lUv, L0vE all the wonderful touches. Oh, and thank you for not covering up the cat with the awesome stamp! That was quite thoughtful!!!! hug!
Response: Heheheh, I am so glad you liked it all :) I try to preserve the fun "place stamp here" image if it warrants it! Hope you are having a good weekend <3
Comment: Hi Avi! I really enjoy Edward Hopper pcs - found a booklet of them at a thrift store a couple of months back - yipppeee! I love when that happens! I also loved watching some of the Olypmics - the swimming and gymnastics rocked, also enjoyed soccer! Great stamps! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)

Comment: Thank you for sending such a lovely pc. I always look forward to receiving mail from you. The decorative writing, washi, stamps, and weather/temp info is so much fun. Thanks again for taking the time to do all of that.

Comment: Most awesome card ever. Tina is boss! I also enjoyed your handwriting.
Response: Heheheh, thank you for the heart and your kind message :) I can't wait for the new Bob's Burgers season to begin, although it may be different watching it week-to-week instead of having six seasons to binge at the ready XD Hope you are having a good weekend!
Comment: Thanks for the awesome list! I have a lot of listening to do as I've never heard a lot of these songs. I LOVE Sutton Foster and would love to see her in Thoroughly Modern Millie! I thought her show "Bunheads" was cute and miss it! Kate Bush is amazing and Karen Carpenter has a beautiful voice! And who doesn't love Hall and Oats, crazy people!!! LOL! Thanks as well for the amazing envie! I love the stamps you used! I've never seen the Jack London stamp, so cool! I love his work! Thanks for a wonderful swap!
Comment: What great PCs you chose for this swap - I love them all! The B&W ones of NYC flashbacks are wonderful, and the art of Edward Hopper is a favorite as he is one of my favorite artists. Thanks again and hope to see you in future swaps ~~
Comment: I am in awe of the lovely washi tape, stickers, and stamps! Thank you for sharing a bit about your cosplay/craft with me, I wish you luck as you continue practicing your sewing skills. Much love and have a wonderful day~
Comment: Thank you! I always look forward to cards from you. The only Olympic coverage I've watched this year is youtube videos of the horrible injuries. I probably shouldn't admit that! I always love watching the gymnastics and the swimming, but for some reason, I just didn't turn the television on this year.
Comment: I received the postcard from you today but it is very hard to read and understand. I love the stamps and postcard picture but it almost impossible for me to understand what was written. thanks!
Response: Thank you for the feedback, Mindy! I think I wrote about Strand being one of my favorite places and that I always carve out time to visit when I am in New York City. Hope you and your family have a good weekend!
I love your postcards! You always have some fun washi and stickers and stamps to make it look so nice!! I love your handwriting too - I can tell at a glance when I receive something from you!! It's always a treasure in my mailbox!!
I hope you are fairing well through this wet and humid summer!
Sending love and hugs! xx

Response: You are a gem, Laurence! :) I'm glad you liked everything. Thank you for your effusive message and heart <3
Comment: Oh my goodness this PC is the best thing I've seen!! I can't even articulate eloquently how much I freaking love it, and the stamps! You're turning me into a space-stamp enthusiast lol thank you! I'd love to visit the AHM and Smithsonian museums one day... I really enjoy the Evergreen Air and Space museum out here (go figure!). They have a few really awesome acquisitions, including one of the Gemini capsules, one of the Vostok capsules, a Titan rocket, and the infamous H4 Hercules, better known as the Spruce Goose :) And a very sexy SR71 Blackbird, my favorite stealth jet lol. Next time I'm over that way I'll have to grab some postcards to send :)
Comment: Thanks for the coffee themed page clips and great letter. I LOVE coffee! But I don't like coffee flavored things like ice cream or candy.
Response: Thank you for the heart, Melissa! I'm glad you enjoyed both :D Hahaha, I requested a mocha-flavored filling inside my birthday cake one year as a kid, and when my mom was making a test batch, I tasted it and made a sour face... So end of that fantasy, haha. I have had a coffee-flavored macaron before, but that is it as far as coffee-flavored things :) Happy Monday!
Comment: HI Avi!
Thank you so much! I love the stamps and postcards & stickers!!! Superhero pumpkin cracks me up!!!!!
Your handmade envelope is awesome too! Thank you for such great images and stamps!! I KNEW it was for the Super Hero swap immediately!!!

Comment: Avi, thank you for the super cute Jetoy postcard!!! I'm also really happy to find another swap-botter with similar interests! <3 Who knows maybe you'll be receiving something from me in the near future ;)
Comment: Hi Avi! Thanks so much for the lovely card. It is the first Jetoy in my collection. :)
Response: I am glad you enjoyed it and that it was your first! :) I remember first seeing Jetoy Choo Choo products at my local kawaii/Japanese goods store, and I was ambivalent... but when I rescued my two cats, I completely changed my mind :3 Happy weekend!
Comment: Hi Ani, I am blown away by how awesome your package is. The handmade envelope and other goodies are perfect. I love how you decorated the envelope. I am keeping this on my desk for inspiration! I look forward to swapping more with you. Thank you!
Comment: Love love love the cards you sent. The one from the 1900s looks like it could have been taken recently. So cool! :D AND! I saw the american girl card and thought it looked like Josephina, only to turn it around and see that it was. Great cards, thanks ^_^
Response: Yay, I'm glad you liked them all -- I still love American Girl deep down; they were one of my first forays into historical fiction as a kid :) Thank you for the heart!

Hope you will succeed in visiting Europe some day!
Comment: Eventually I'm going to have to bug you to find out where you get the rad space washi from lol. I can't even with the sdcc stuff... all the trailers were phenomenal.. i cannot wait for November, especially... Doctor Strange wad my first super hero (after Christopher Reeve, of course) thank you for the star wars and wibbly wobbly spacey-wacey stuff:)
Comment: Thank you! It's awesome that you mentioned the NPS centennial celebration. Our big plans for retirement include buying an RV and travelling the country, visiting all the national parks along the way.
Response: Thank you for the heart, Nori, and you're welcome :) I'm glad you are also passionate about the NPS. What a dreamy, wonderful retirement plan! I remember reading in the AAA magazine that some parks offer incentives for people to participate more in outdoor activities; you get merit patches or something similar upon hiking or traversing a certain number of miles. I would totally love to do that!
Comment: Flight of the Conchord AND a Sara Bareilles fan?! We were meant to be friends. :) Thanks for your list!
Response: Thank you for your wonderful message -- glad you enjoyed the list :D I am still reeling from the FOTC concert sixteen days ago (I would gladly see them again live performing the exact same program, haha -- it was one of the best concerts/nights of my life) and finishing binge-watching the series (so good to finally place all the songs I'd known for years in context :) and disappointed that they didn't make a third season at least. (I respect their decision not to, however :) Happy almost-weekend!
Comment: Thank you, Avi, for the generous goody package including the pretty envelope with a variety of stamps! I can tell you sent things specific to my tastes which was really thoughtful. One thing you didn't know -- I love Scrabble -- so that notecard was a particularly fun surprise!! I will definitely put everything to use though :)
Comment: What a marvelous letter and washi tape samples! I loved reading your letter and learning about your love of all things celestial and your kitties. That collection of stamps on the front was fascinating as well. Thanks so much!
Response: Thank you for your sweet message and heart, Christine! I am happy you enjoyed the swap :) Happy Tuesday!
Comment: Avi!! I ABSOLUTELY love love love this PC, one: because it's my favorite sanrio character two: the postage stamps are ahhhhmazing :) Thank you so much!

Comment: Oh Avi, I will be your friend for life...lve, love, love the vintage postage stamps...always have and I will be able to use them...How did you know? You sent a wonderful package full of things that are green and useful to me. You have been a blessing to me today..Thank you so very mucdh,,wish I could give you 5 hearts!!
Response: Anita, your message made my day :) Thank you for it and the heart -- I am so glad that you liked everything! I always love profile-based and/or themed swaps. Hope you are having a good weekend!
Comment: Thank you so much for all the awesome goodies! I was pretty much squeeing the whole time I went through it. I love the Jetoy postcards and STICKERS! The pencils were very cute, and the washi too. <3 <3 Where in the world did you find that fast food washi tape? It's adorable. I also enjoyed reading about your cats, and I'm glad you liked some of my recommendations! And Bob's Burgers. <3 I love the songs in it so much, it's hilarious. Thank you again! <3 <3 <3 <3
Response: Yahoo! I'm glad you liked it all, Avery :) Thank you for the heart! The fast food washi I first saw on a PC from another partner and found it on etsy after I couldn't find it in stores. (It's made by 3M, whose kawaii raincloud/rainbow and strawberry tapes are also favorites.) I am enjoying experiencing SDCC vicariously through the Instagram feeds of Bento Box Entertainment and the show's stars -- next summer I hope to go :) Hope you are having a swell weekend and staying cool!
Comment: Thanks for the cool IKEA postcard! And that puffy sticker--love it!
Response: Thank you for the heart, Jennifer -- I'm glad you liked them both! Now I have the urge to listen to records :) And I am reminded of numerous trips to Ikea and getting lost in the maze-like floorplan ^_^;; Happy Thursday!
Comment: I loved your postcard- front and back! You are an artist! Thank you for reading my profile! We do have things in common; my favorite Beatle is John. We just saw a Beatles tribute band last week. They actually did a pretty good job, and the one who was "Paul" was right-handed, but he learned to play the guitar left-handed to play like Paul. I thought that took a lot of talent. Thanks again and happy swapping!
Response: Thank you for your very kind message, Charlotte! I love the way John and Paul's voices complemented each other so well :) Wow, what dedication and talent to learn an instrument using one's non-dominant hand! I would love to see Rain or a Beatles tribute band live -- the closest thing to experiencing what it would have been like in the 60s :) Happy weekend!
Comment: Hello Avi,
Thank you for the two washi tapes you sent me for this swap. I like how the two washi tapes are related. I look forward to using your two washi tapes in the future.
Comment: I love the Alice tea party themed PC! You have very unique handwriting, how do you do that? I used to drink Irish breakfast tea all the time but, it makes me feel like a hummingbird so I rarely drink it anymore. Thanks again for the PC! Happy Swapping :)
Response: Aww, thank you for the heart and your kind words, Sara! As a kid, I used to try to emulate Stacy McGill's handwriting from The Babysitters Club, but then I stopped and developed my own style :) Haha, I know what you mean about Irish breakfast tea -- I usually don't drink caffeinated tea past noon, or else I will be up until 5 AM :p Happy weekend!
Comment: Hi Avi!!
Thank you! This Jetoy postcard has a scottish fold on it!! That's my favorite cat breed <3 I have one.. he's a squishy love!!
Where did you find the adorable Jetoy Sticker?! CUTE!!! The Hot air balloon Lafayette Indiana commemorative 100 year celebratory stamps are fantastic!!
OMG you got the Paper Lover's book!!! OHH!! Isnt it SO AMAZING?! I love it too!!! Yes yes... the possibilities are endless with this beautiful book!! I have used a few bits from it but I haven't had the chance to dive deeply into it yet!!
I hope your summer is going well, I know Louisiana is HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT and HUMID! Sending hugs and good air conditioning vibes your way! xx Gabi
Response: Yay, I'm glad you enjoyed it all, Gabi, and that the Jetoy on the card was like your furbaby :) The sticker was from a sheet I bought at KawaiiNOLA (like Sanrio for grown-ups, haha, since we don't have any actual Sanrio stores anywhere in the state), but I'm pretty sure it's available from the JetoyUSA site or on etsy or ebay. Hahaha, I'm so glad you also appreciate the bounties of Flow :D Me either, I still am discovering what I can do with the book's contents. Yes, it has been pretty hot here; I have to be extra-vigilant that my cats are hydrated and cool :) Thank you for the good wishes and heart, Gabi! Hope you and yours are well and staying cool, too!
Comment: Thank you so much for the colorful letters. I am sorry for the late rating, but I have been really busy and didn't find my login information. But here I am to say thank you for this awesome letter pack! I love it!!!

Response: No worries, April! Thank you so much for the heart and your kind message :) I'm glad you liked everything! Hope you are having a good summer!
Comment: Thank you for the lovely postcard with my favorite Mad Hatter on it. Where do you get the beautiful washi? I love it. I stayed home this Independence Day. The neighbors made plenty of noise with their fireworks. Happy Belated Birthday to you. It sounds like you had a wonderful time 💜
Comment: Sorry for late rating but think must have gone astray as just received it.love the card. I visited MMA the all-time I was on new York very interesting.
Response: No worries -- I'm glad the card made it to you; I was a bit concerned that the cards mailed at the World Stamp Show would take awhile to get going. How wonderful that you were able to visit the MMA often :) I would go everyday if I could. Happy weekend!
Comment: Thank you for introducing Fitzgerald's work. The colorful stamps go very well with the card image!
Before, I only knew of Fitzgerald's 'The Great Gatsby'. Now, I know another one of his great works!^^
Response: Thank you for the heart! I'm glad you enjoyed the stamps and recommendation -- I wrote a paper in Advanced Placement in high school on Fitzgerald's debut novel, This Side of Paradise, which was also good. I still have his Tender Is the Night and The Last Tycoon to read, along with his other short stories. Happy weekend!
Comment: Thank you for the wonderful secret code postcard! It was so fun going through your profile and checking off all the funky things we share in common. I look forward to swapping with you more!
(Also, always fun to find a fellow Satie and Ravel fan!)
Response: Thank you for the heart and your message, Megan! I look forward to our paths crossing again hopefully soon :) And yes to Satie and Ravel :D I took a seminar in grad school on Satie, which was one of my favorites.
Comment: Thanks, Avi, for the samples. Love the burger and fries especially. Pretty funny that you know the titles of Bob's Burgers songs :) A couple years ago, we saw the cast in SF; they each did some standup(ish), then answered questions and previewed clips. Awesome! Thanks again!
Comment: Love the Hammerpress postcard! I have taken a couple of letterpress workshops, and they were awesome! I helped make a Tarot deck for one of the classes. It's a lot of work but very satisfying.
Response: I'm glad you liked it, Jennifer :) Thank you for the heart! I have one of the same card in my room, and seeing it always makes me smile/stop if I am complaining, haha. Thank you for the feedback regarding letterpress -- I don't know when the next workshop is, but it's at the top of my stationery wishlist, especially after not having time to participate in Bowne & Co.'s workshop in NYC. Happy Fourth of July weekend!
Comment: Dear Avi, thank you so very much for the awesome (my son thinks this is a very old-fashioned word ..) Happy Mail! Yes indeed, this is absolutely Happy Mail. I really like it all! I hope our paths will cross again! <3 Ellen BTW, past week I've been to Alice trough the looking glass ... and you?
Response: Thank you for your kind message and heart, Ellen :) I don't think "awesome" is old at all! I'm glad you enjoyed everything, and I, too, hope our paths cross again. Did you enjoy the film?? I like the look of the trailer and most of the cast, but I am often leery of seeing a film adaptation of a book because the book is usually better, heheh. I last saw The Lobster in a cinema and loved the droll humor and commentary on society, top-notch cast, and brooding soundtrack of Beethoven, Stravinsky, Schnittke, and Shostakovich string quartets, Strauss's Don Juan, and Greek art songs. Happy weekend!
Comment: Archiving older swaps and noticed I never sent a rating your way for this one. Enjoy another heart and take care! Sorry for the delay! :)
Response: No worries, Marika! Thank you for the heart and message -- I, too, have some older swaps that I need to rate. (One of my family members forgot to give me a stack of mail collected the first week of June when I was out of town >_<;;) Hope you have a great Fourth of July weekend!
Comment: Thank you so much for your amazing envelope, you deserve so much more than just this heart. I loved everything, the bunch of stamps on the envelope, the cards, stickers...and I absolutely adore your handwriting! Thank you for making my day! :)
Comment: Thank you so much for the beauty and the beast card and I must say I'm jealous of your stamps I have never saw the Disney ones. Beauty and the beast was one of my first loves to you and I just pre-ordered the 25th anniversary edition for my daughter I could not believe it was 25 years old either !
Comment: Thank you for the awesome pc. I love it! The stamp is also AWESOME. I'm a HUGE Captain America fan. Where did you get it??? I got my Comic Con badge today and am SO EXCITED!!! It's 3 weeks away and I can't wait. Have a great time at Mechacon! It should be a lot of fun. I have never cos-played, but from what I've seen in my years at comic con, just make sure that you're comfortable, can sit down, won't be too hot, your eyesight isn't obstructed, and you can easily take your costume off by yourself to go to the bathroom! lol Have a great time!!!
Response: Thank you for the heart and your kind message, Jane! I got the stamp as part of a Marvel stamp sheet (there was also a DC characters sheet) on ebay! Have so much fun at SDCC -- there is a Bob's Burgers con-exclusive shirt that I wanted to pre-order online, but they won't ship (they only permit pick-up in person or via proxy). Thank you for the con tips :) My sister and I are making plans to hopefully attend CatConLA and/or SDCC next summer *fingers crossed* Happy almost-end-of-June!
Comment: 💜Adore💜 the Amelie postcard! Thank you so much! Amelie is my favorite movie ever! I didn't know about the upcoming musical. That's awesome! I haven't been doing any pleasure reading so far this summer. I had planned on doing the Read Harder Challenge by Book Riot this year, but so far, I haven't read anything. 🙠Maybe I'll start something next week!
Comment: Thank you for the great PC, stamps & washi. And I love that puffy kitty sticker :D I was glad to see Cleveland win the NBA, I didn't watch any of it though except the last 10 minutes of the last game lol!!! I really enjoy watching the Olympics too, I kind of like the winter better than the summer games but I will be watching!
Comment: Your handwriting is so unique, I know who sent it just at one quick glance! :)
Response: Thank you for the heart, Sarah! Hehehe... Sometimes I think if the post office scratches or tears the part of the card with my username and name on it, I hope my partner knows my handwriting well enough XD
Comment: Thanks for the postcard and all the wonderful stamps! I did not watch the Tony awards but have heard a lot of great reviews about Hamilton.
Response: I am glad you liked them -- thank you for the heart :) If you get a chance to see Hamilton when it tours or in Chicago or NYC, don't miss it! I am so glad that it combines both musical theatre and history (not without a few dramatic liberties, of course, but I read the Chernow biography first) -- and the score is ridiculously addictive. Happy Wednesday!
Comment: Thank you for the Alice washi. I do not have that one 😀 I'm not sure if I've told you that I have seen Alice Through The Looking Glass. It was just ok. The first one was so much better.
Response: You're welcome, Jennifer! Thank you for the heart and film review :) I have heard similar from fellow Alice-loving friends! I will be sure to check out the first film, at the very least. Happy Sunday!
Comment: I like the birds that visit our feeder. We have goldfinches (they are green here!) towhees, purple finches, sparrows, doves and crows. Each had their own personality. I really love the bird wash you used on my card. I have never seen any like that around here.
Response: What a lovely, colorful bevy of birds! I am never ceased to be amazed at animals' different personalities :) I'm glad you liked the bird washi! Thank you for the heart as well :)
Comment: Hi Avi! Loved the postcard from the MTA arts! The stamps on the postcard were just stunning! The bridges especially brooklyn bridge was amazing! I'm sending you hugs! It is always a gift to receive a postcard from you Avi!
Comment: I'm so luck to have you for 2 swaps! I just rated you for the Big Swap #3. I love the Tangled PC and your best things in life. But I love the owl stamps the best. Wish my post office had some.
Comment: Love love love the Beatles PC! It's my favorite one I've gotten so far. I'm taking it to work so I can look at it every day. I have visited the Netherlands and Belgium, but would love to go back. My favorite Beatle is Sir Paul, also. He's amazing!
Response: Aww, thank you for your effusive thanks and heart! I'm glad you enjoyed the card and like Sir Paul, too :)
Comment: The US postal service deliver your postcard in a transparend sealed bag. "We sincerely regret the damage to your mail." I had to look very carefully to discover the damage: 3 mm of washitape was folded in the corner :-) The sealed bag made the mail only look even more "not a postcard"! I loved it. How many stamps can you glue on your mail?! And every piece was writen or washied :-) YOU MADE MY DAY
Comment: Great postcard with a great story. Not long after we were married (many years ago) I went to a stamp show in DC with my husband, who was a fairly active collector for awhile. I dabbled in fish stamps for awhile. And I'd love to go to NYC some time!
Comment: Hi Avi! Thank you so much for the real Winnie the Pooh and friends p.c. It's adorable! It sounds like you had a good time at the World Stamp show! Thank for the great stamps you used on the PC too!
Comment: oh wow I loved receiving this! Thank you for such a fun and colorful letter. I really appreciate the stamps and washi tape :) You seem like such an interesting and insightful person, happy June!
Comment: Love the PC! Appreciate the different stamps. They all appeal to my favorites: the Bible, books, art, and dogsâ¤ï¸
I also sing in my choir at church. I was pleased to be your swap friend again.
Comment: Hello again! Thank you for such a lovely postcard. Your handwriting is wonderful. I can't say that I have a favorite artist, but I do find myself liking the classics like Van Gogh, Rembrandt and a few others. I do love art history.
Response: Thank you for your kind words :) I'm glad you liked it. Art history was probably my favorite elective tied with abnormal psychology. Happy weekend!
Comment: Thanks you so much!! I love the "love letter" and HP PC!
Response: I'm glad you enjoyed them both -- it was fun to make :) I was trying to see how many faux-vintage postage I could manage without the USPS calling foul, haha! Happy Tuesday, and thank you for the heart!
Comment: Thank you so much for the Hello Kitty postcard! Haha! And yes, it seems we have quite a bit in common. If you would like to be penpals, just let me know! :) Again, thank you for the lovely postcard. <3
Comment: Thank you Avi for the lovely postcard of Imperial Art of China! I love your gift of writing and sharing! It made my day and i just wanted to let know you i so appreciate your being here and sharing of yourself! Blessings to you beautiful one!
Comment: Wow! Thank you for the BEAUTIFUL letter, sharing your happy memories with me and the extras. It's funny how you find you have so much in common with the people you're assigned through things like this, and it is a real feel good feeling. I loved the quote from Harriet the Spy I feel it really resonates with me at the moment! I also loved how so many of your memories are from when you were younger - gosh I am SO GLAD that I grew up in a world that wasn't consumed with technology like it is today. Definitely had much more memorable moments than I imagine a lot of young ones will have these days. Take care :)
Response: I am happy that you enjoyed the letter and extras! I agree, it's been wonderful to meet people with similar and sometimes dissimilar interests and to share experiences. You are so right -- I am grateful to have known of life before FOMO, social media, and instant gratification were de rigueur. Happy Tuesday, and thank you for the heart :)
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful Alice in Wonderland card and the super cool stamp! Love the washi and Cheshire Cat sticker too. I need to go to Alice's Tea Cup the next time I'm in NYC. My best friend's mom lives there and we never seem to have extra time when we visit. I enjoyed the first Tim Burton Alice except for the terrible headache I got from watching it at the IMAX theater 😸. It's not the greatest movie, but I love seeing the characters brought to life. Have a great weekend!
Comment: Thank you so much !! I really was excited when I got your mail. It really was special :) I wish I had participated in the national letter writing month. Oh also btw my favorite genres are historical fiction and dystopians :D Really thank you Avi I definitely will treasure what you sent.
Comment: Thanks for the pc..I couldnt rate u until all the other pcs came in coz u had forgotten ur name
Response: You're welcome! Thank you for the feedback -- my apologies if I did forget; if it doesn't fit on the empty space of the card, I usually try to sign the washi tape, but sometimes the ink smears. I will be more careful next time :) Happy weekend!
Comment: Thanks for the extra special package. The butterflies are amazing. I can't wait to use them in my projects. I hung the garland butterflies in my sister in law's room at the hospital in an effort to Brighton up the place
Comment: I LOVE your lists! Love love love! I do a list book so my kids can look back when they are grand parents and show it to their grand kids, I am one heck of a quirky girl LOL!!
They make for awesome conversation starters too! hehehe
Response: What a wonderful idea! I love looking back on old journals :) Thank you for your lovely message and heart, Gabi! It's always great to have you as a swap partner :)
Comment: Great pic. 1989 it came out.....seems like yesterday.
Response: Thank you for the heart -- I'm glad you enjoyed the card! I know what you mean about time flying; I am always amazed and slightly uncomfortable when I realize how many years ago a certain film/television show/song/book/etc. was released. Happy Wednesday!
Comment: Love the PC. I'm new to sending and collecting them so I appreciate you looked at my profile.
Response: I am glad you enjoyed everything :) How wonderful that you are a pianist/organist -- that (and playing cello and oboe) is a skill I would like to have. Thank you for the heart, and happy Friday!
Comment: EEEEE! Another Sondheim card...I absolutely love it! :) "Follies" is a very underappreciated work, and not staged too often, but there are some fabulous moments in there! And, you're right, there is much of note this year....but I think Hamilton might sweep away the competition. ;) Thanks for a lovely PC, as always! *hugs*
Comment: I love vintage cards, but I love Sondheim even more, and you managed to find THE PERFECT card for me. Thank you for the lovely message, the colourful washi, and for being such a great swap partner!:)
Comment: Thank you form a fellow Longmire Fan. I wish there was a Red Pony Postcard. I am going have to find a couple.
Response: Yahoo! Thank you for the heart :) I have also wanted a Red Pony shirt/tank top/hoodie! Maybe they sell them at Longmire Days... ? I have also wished that Lou Diamond Phillips would reprise his King of Siam since the revival is still running on Broadway. Hope you are having a good week!
Comment: So, what's your armchair assessment of the Met's 2016 gala? 2017, we need to snag invites--if Kim Karadashian can make the list, I don't see why we can't go ;) Lovely card, postage and washi. Thank you!
Response: Hahaha, I agree :D I didn't know until reading further that tickets are $30K but invitees (which this year numbered 600) must be cleared with Ms. Wintour. I am still in awe of Claire Danes's lit-up fiber-optic Zac Posen; I liked the bodice of Emma Watson, but not the combination trousers/ballgown with train. Zoe Saldana's gown was dramatic, but I hate to think of the birds whose plumage was sacrificed. I will settle for visiting manus x machina later this spring. I'm glad you enjoyed everything; thank you for the heart!
Comment: Thank you for your notecard ! Loves the washi tape and ephemera 😊 Wizard World will be in Pittsburgh in November. My son and daughter are going - they are brainstorming costume ideas😊. We are also making plans to try a new Renaissance Faire over in Ohio so costume planning for that too. I'm with you - I would love to wear costumes everyday 😉
Comment: These are great list prompts that I will DEFINITELY use in my list journal!!
Thank you for the cowboys too!
As always, amazing stamps! I must find a good source so I can put these amazing stamps on postcards I send too!!!!!
Have great weekend!
