Comment: What an AWESOME magnet! I love that you drew it, since you say you tend to be drawing adjacent, trust me - you got nothing to be worried about. :) Hubs loved it as well! Thanks, it will be protecting my fridge very soon!
Comment: Thank you for the zine. Your ATCs are very nice. The postmark on the envelope reads December 17th. You clicked "sent" on December 12th which was the deadline for the swap.
ETA on 12/30: According to @stlouisphile this swap was dropped in a public box in front of a store on December 12th. I have no reason to doubt her and assume the letter carrier was negligent in collecting the mail from that box.
Response: I won't be using that mailbox location in the future, that's for sure! My heart can't take the notion of letting my partners down.
Comment: Love the Who ornament and card :) It goes up on the TARDIS tree for sure. One of these days, I need to add a "whoop whoop" noise .... Thanks again, my family loves the Springfield look to it, and I love the TARDIS and scarf as well. Can't wait to see if iPlayer replays a few DW episodes on BBC Radio this season.
Response: Happy you're pleased with both and thank you for the heart!
Comment: Both are excellent cards! I love that you used 10 & 11 from the flash back :) Really nice background color on these. Very inspiring!!! Forgot to mention the gas mask card they came in. It's very cool :)
Response: You're Welcome, I am pleased you liked them, Charlotte!
Comment: Thank you so much for the cute bookmark! I love it! The tin was adorable as well. (: I just bought a bunch of new books (since I started working at the bookstore) so the bookmark will get used in no time flat. :P Thanks!
Response: I'm glad you're pleased! Working in a bookstore huh? Stock up on Who! And thank you for the heart!
Comment: This lovely package brightened my day! I love the coordination with all the Tardis blue wrappings :) Thanks for the cute card, tons of conversation hearts and super cool Tardis necklace. Such a treat to receive!
Response: You're most welcome, Charlotte! I had fun making everything, although making envelopes is not my strong suit. Allons-y!
Comment: Donna, you out did yourself. I love love love all the wonderful ornaments. The shrinky dink Doctors (and Rose) are awesome. The Red Daleks & the Weeping Angels rock. The glass random DW ornaments are awesome...I could have never ever done those. And the Jammie Dodgers are perfect! I am going to buy a little tree to decorate with these items! Thank You Thank You Thank You! ♥ ♥ ♥
Response: Oh, this just made me giggle like a school girl! I'm so happy you like 'em. I pulled out all of my creative juices for them, so I am just really pleased you like them all. And, please send me some photos of your mini tree! Allon-y!!
Comment: Thank you for an awesome assortment of cuttings! There are some fabulous images and phrases that I can't wait to use ... "dominatrix with a cake in the oven" ... I'm going to have to check out the magazines you used, too, if I can find them. :-) Thank you for a fantastic swap. :-)
Response: You're welcome! I enjoyed finding them and took a risk that some might be a little "out there" but glad you found them to your liking. Luckily I work in a libary where these are tossed out, not even recycled every year!
Comment: Loved the steampunk look to the card; I actually really liked both Psi and the woman from the show who could transform her looks, but I agree it would be fun to make Psi a recurring character as well.
Response: I liked the shapeshifter too, just forgot her name, LOL. Bring back Psi, Moffat!! TY for the heart.
Comment: I'm so sorry for the late rating! The ATC is lovely! Hopefully I'll master embossing eventually. Thank you for the extra library cards as well! I actually have an ATC you sent in another swap on my desk at work. = )
Response: You're very welcome! And what a nice complement about the other ATC card at your work! Thank you for the heart!
Comment: LOL...guess what came in the mail today, yep your absolutely beautiful ATC. I love the technique with the bronze background...very very cool. And I LOVE the EEK card you included! Thank You for a wonderful swap (although slightly stressful for you... ♥ ♥)
Response: Finally! Sorry it traveled back and forth in St. Louis! Thank you for the great feedback and happy to hear you love EEK! Merci also for the heart!
Comment: hello and thank you for this great ATC I apologize for the rating taking so long! I have been in Europe for the last 7 weeks just got in and found this great B Movie ATC…..so creative and thanks for the extra too….. Happy Swapping…..
Response: You're welcome and hope you had a wonderful time. I knew you were traveling. Thank you for the heart!
Comment: Donna Thank you so much for all the goodies you sent to me! The yarn was an awesome way to wrap the little Dalek who is now being worn ;) I'm probably gonna drive my husband nuts yelling exterminate at him; I love the dishcloth and the Tardis! Thank you for everything!!!!!
Response: So happy you love everything! Thank you for rating and the heart!
Hope you will use the yarn,LOL!!
Comment: Love your background. Its impressive that you use the gelatin to make your geli plate. I remember watching a video on youtube,on how to make it. I bought one!! Beautiful ATC,thanks for the background strip too,
love the colors. I loved Blue Jasmine,so I loved that you wrote your note on the dvd cover.
Response: Thank you for the great feedback! I collect those postcards from my local 'art house" theatre. Watched BJ a few weeks ago. Very interesting movie. And thank you for the heart!
Comment: I can't imagine rereading a textbook but I do understand that it may be necessary. I just finished a Stat class and that sucked. It's awesome that you work in a library! Which one? I live on the Illinois side but in the St. Louis area. Thanks for sending your 55 questions!
Response: Library I work at is STLCC Forest Park down the street from the St. Louis Science Center. Thank you for rating and the heart!
Comment: I love getting mail from you! Thank you for everything. The puzzle is fantastic as are Adipose you included. It was so much fun and the TARDIS crocheted hot mat is AWESOME!!!!!!!! Thank You so much!!!
ETA: I mean knitting....but it is FANTASTIC!!!
Response: That was quick! Oh that TARDIS is knitted ("Bring Me Knitting!") wonder if Twelve will knit or crochet. I'm thinking he'll have a daft hobby of some kind! TY for the 5 and Heart!!
Comment: So many goodies! Some things I've seen, much I haven't. Neat to see something from Squidge show up! My list took hours and hours to put together, so I can really appreciate such a great, long list as this one. Thanks for sending it along with a bit of explanation about each item! :-)
Response: You're welcome! And thank you for the heart!
Comment: Thank you for sharing so many wonderful encouragements. I am going to print them and cut them up into strips and place them in a jar, so I can pull one out as I need a little encouragement. My favorite was: "When people undermine your dreams, predict your doom, or criticize you, remember, they're telling you their story, not yours". by Cynthia Occelli
Happy Mother's Day blessings,
Comment: The graphic you used for this swap is awesome! I love it! And I perfer chocolate to Altoids.... so you are good... lol! I already ate my candy actually, but the tin looks awesome sitting on my computer desk at home! Thanks again! Happy Valentine's Day!
Response: Oh good! I am happy you liked it! Happy Valentine's Day Thank you for the heart!
Comment: Thank you very much for this swap, I know -guilty face- Ive been a slow poke rating. You've certainly earnt this five though, the cards were great and perfect for my collection. I hope your daughter wasnt mad though that you posted them to me.
Response: You're welcome! Shouldn't be a problem as those are duplicates of duplicates....
Comment: Your clever and creative atc brought such a smile today... Just a wonderful card.. Thank you so very much... You must be a really good artist and full of life... So glad to have been your partner
Response: What a lovely review, thank you so much. And thank you for the heart! Happy swapping!
Comment: I guess the envelope must have had a shower; the envelope arrived torn and the card was stuck on te envelope:) Thank you for the nice envelope, card, teas and letter! What technique did you used on the card/envelope? It's very nice:)
Response: Sorry about the envelope it was fine when it left my hands! I also checked with my partner about the tea - it was fine. Offered to resend (with another envelope) but she said that was OK.
Comment: This is a truly beautiful atc. I'm so in love with it. I'm curious though, what mediums did you use? Markers? Paint? Also where did you get the super gorgeous clock work card stock? Oh and of course, amazing haiku!
Response: I use liquid acrylics on bristol board or watercolour paper. I ran my paper for the card thru my Big Shot machine, its a Sizzix folder. Thank you for the great comment and the heart!
Comment: Donna, I LOVE the Gallifrey Post stamps! Your BOOKLET is so clever! And the awesome Dalek cross stitch pattern! And and the gorgeous Eleven postcard! (Thank you for not sending Ten - it would have been too much for me to handle! XD )
Response: Pleased that you liked em and merci for the heart!
Comment: Thanks SOOO much for this swap! The Timey Wimey device is so clever! I love the clear magnetic marble - how did you do that? Also I know the supplies inside the device will come in handy if I ever get stuck in past and need to get back!
Your extras were so generous too! I can't wait to read the book. And the ATC will fill a gap in my Doctor Who page. The beaded TARDIS is so neat as well! It's going on my fridge next to the tile magnet you made me. Thanks again - this was such a cool swap!
Response: I am so pleased you loved it! I worked a long time on that darn TWD but am proud to say I didn't cut myself as I am a total clutz. Have fun with the book! Allons-y!! So should we do one of these annually?
Comment: Love the yellow and blue PC -- I was trying to figure out whether the yellow is plastic? It worked really well. We now have it posted and are planning our menu for the Dr. Who party on 11/23 :)
Response: Yep that's white plastic from xray packaging believe or not which I spray painted and cut. Happy you like it and thank you for the heart!
Comment: I love my altered cd, Donna! The rendering of Tennant and the Dalek is fantastic! ( I can only ever hear that word in my mind the way 9th said it now... :P ) The Tardis under the gate is brilliant too! Thanks again!
Response: I am so pleased you liked it!! And the Arch too! Merci buckets!!
Comment: wow, thank you very much for your nice bookmark! it was awesome! I also love the envelope you sent. Everything in this swap is awesome! I wish I could give you ten herts!
Response: You got it! Yeah! I am so happy you were pleased with the bookmark. I had a note to tuck in the home made envie and forget it. D'uh! Ten hearts? Yes please! Thank you for the heart!! Allons-y!!
Comment: What an amazing bookmark! You did a fantastic job; that would have taken me ages to do; I'm impressed. I love my rainbow daleks! Thank you!
Response: Thank you! My good friend taught me how to cross stitch almost thirty years ago. My eyesight slowed me down but I had to get those little Daleks done. A simple pattern but still over two and a half hours per Dalek. And thanks for the heart too!!
Comment: Hi there. Thanks for the ATCs they are truly lovely. Its interesting as I keep a copy of mine against my partners ATC for the swap. When I look through the ones I have received from and sent to you it is really obvious we have very different styles and up until today we kept to our styles. But this one ( name of the doctor) is a very different style...and I love it! ( I love all the others too!) Thank you for surprising me with this one.
The Doctor's Wife ATC is perfect with the lace beyond the card reflecting her cool hat.
Response: I wanted to really make something that was extra special and outside of my comfort zone. I felt that I had gotten into a "rut" and needed to shake things up a bit. Thank you so much for the lovely feedback and the heart! Allons-y!
Comment: Yay, got the Crimson Horror ATC! I LOVE it! I really enjoy Strax as well. I think my favorite line of his from this ep was "Horse! You have failed in your mission!" I love the look on his face on the pic you chose. Thanks a bunch for all the little extras too!
Response: Thank you! I have heard rumour that there may be a spin off with Strax,Jenny, and Madame V.
Comment: Wow Donna, your mini-journal was so awesome! You clearly put a LOT of time into all the papers and pockets and tags. This was exactly what I would hope for in a mini-book - you totally nailed it. Now I just need to keep it away from my Who-fanatic daughter because she will steal it! Thank you for the beautiful swap.
Response: I am SO Happy you liked that! You're right that has over 30 hours of work in it but you know, I had a blast making it and listening to music and watching Who while doing it. Thank you for the heart! Hope you liked the "envelope" LOL.
Comment: This is the first ATC I have ever received so thank you. It is so perfect and not so simple when it is closely looked at, thank you again. It was also nice to get a letter from the USA with great stamps!
Response: To paraphrase Ten, "I'm honored to send you your first ATC!" Thanks for the compliment - I wanted the Doctor and Clara to not "jump out" at you but under close inspection, there they are, in the WiFi. Thank you for the heart!
Comment: LOVE these! How do you make your cards so stiff? I try and still not like this. Thanks so much for sharing these two great companions.
Response: Thanks for the lovely compliments and the Heart. OK so I print my cards on strathmore Bristol paper, either laser or ink jet. Cut and then mount the card onto mat board I purchase and cut down to ATC size.
Comment: Thank you so much for the awesome package of goodies! I love the little envelopes for each of the packs; thanks for taking my weird dietary requirements into account. MUCH appreciated! And the card is magnificent. I was at work when I opened it and had to contain my squee a bit more than usual, but it's so great to have a card with my favorite Whoverse pairing on it. Happy Valentine's Day to you! :-)
Response: I am so happy you liked it! Enjoy those almonds - I'm glad you got them at work 'cause then they'll be there when you need a little sweet and not cheat on the diet! Glad you liked that card of Janto love too!
And thank you for the heart!
Comment: I do indeed love Nine - but I'm having more and more trouble picking a favorite, between the newest three! I think Nine is highly underrated, Ten is clearly awesome, and Eleven has definitely grown on me. :) Thanks for the DW profile love!
Response: Coolest idea ever! thanks for doing this one! And yes, Eleven has grown on me too. Ten though. That's my boy!!
Comment: Thank you! I love that you went with a quote from the doctor, even though he's not in it very much. I like that they left it up to the viewer to imagine the four things and a lizard *G* But I would have loved to have seen him weilding a bow & arrow in battle! Thanks!
Response: I always think that the 4 things and a lizard adventure is one of Ten's "lost" episodes. Thanks for the 5 and the heart!
Comment: Somehow, the Doctor knows just what I like. His card and ornaments--PLURAL--are amazing! I can't even decide which ones I like most. I will have the best Christmas tree ever now! Thank you so much for, um, convincing the Doctor to send such a great package :-)
Response: The Doctor is quite pleased you liked the card and ornaments. He is truly happy with the heart too!
Comment: What a completely awesome swap - I absolutely adore everything about it! The twinchies are fabulous, the card is really cool, and I appreciate the bonus TARDIS ornament! Thank you for making my day! ♥ Happy Who-lidays!
Response: Happy Wholidays ..so glad youliked the twinchies and card and TARDIS ornament. Always heelps to use a little sonic to spread Holiday cheer!
Comment: Thank you so, SO much! I loved the ATC, it was absolutely gorgeous. And thanks for the tag, too. It's beautiful. <3 I'm also excited for the upcoming 50th anniversary! (along with Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks, haha). Happy swapping, and thanks again!
Response: You're most welcome! And thanks for the heart!
Comment: What an awesome mini book and I love the ATCs and goodies you included:-). The altered mini notebook went in my purse today! Sorry for the late rating. I thot I had already done so. Thanks for being such a great swapper!
Response: Thanks for rating! And thank you for the heart!
Comment: WOW! you totally spoiled me with your amazing package! I love the ATC's you made and so wonderful of you that you tried some octopode for me! they look really great! love Solo ATC too of course and a full pack of card sleeves plus pentel erasers?? just too freaking awesome! thank you! the spidey pin is going to my bf :) you rock! just hope you like my parcel as much as i do yours ;)
Response: I sweated those ATC's so I"m sooo happy you liked them! The extra's were my pleasure. Will let you know when your package arrives! Allons-y!!
Comment: L O V E this card, in fact I'm leading a local artists group in an ATC event at a local coffee house and I'm going to use your card as an example of the right way to create an ATC. Many thanks!
Response: Wow! Thank you!! That is sooo cool! Hey take piccies!!! Wish I could attend!!
Comment: Another work of pure genius! What can I say other than I am doing a happy dance that I am the proud owner now of two of your awesome ATC's!! And what an honor to receive a Fox Mulder ATC from St. Louis' #1 X-Files fan!! That is beyond epic!! The back of the ATC - are you kidding me? I just about died when I saw that you put the info into a little file!!! That was AMAZING!!!!! I am in total geek heaven here LOL! Thank you SO much!!!! :)
Response: Aw, now I'm blushing! I so happy you liked the card! I haven't used that file punch in ages and it just came to me hey use that file punch! So I did! Hoping that Chris Carter will do something cool for X Philes come the 20th anniversary of TXF.
Comment: What a beautiful ATC! I love your original image and the colors are absolutely gorgeous! The thickness of your ATC is really awesome - what kind of board is that? Is that a pre-cut blank that is sold? It's really cool! I love how you decorated the back too! Thank you so much!!! :)
Response: Thank you! I have been using mat board for 99% of my cards. I get the board at Art Mart and cut them down myself. The last board I purchased was about 24.00 but I got over 400 ATC cards from that one piece. At this particular store you can cut what you've purchased for free. There are pre-cut blanks but that's a rip-off as they're way overpriced.
Comment: I got it this morning and I absolutely LOVE it! K-9 is one of my favourite characters, he's so cute but also lonely! When he sacrifices himself in the school I almost cried! I can see why it took you so long, I don't think I'd ever be able to do something like it!
I'm doing a bit of a spring clean (we're a season late) at the moment, so my shelf has been dismantled, but once I've put it all back together I'll send you a photo of it! It's going to have pride of place right at the front :) I loved the card it was attached to as well, it reminded me of the inside of the Tardis, not sure if that was your intention though!
Thank you again! Amazing!
Response: I am so glad K9 made it in one piece! And yes, the card was intentional it's my first purchase I made for my Big Shot Sizzix machine. I fell in love with K9 during School Reunion and it was so sweet that the Doctor repaired him and gave him back to Sarah Jane. Please as punch that he'll have a prominent spot on your bookcase. Take care!
Comment: Great card. Your card came at a great time... a friend not "into" atcs and who has kind of raised an eyebrow at me for being into doing them and a few other swaps... was here when i opened your card... she is from St. Louis. So she was very into the idea that I got cards from all over and loved the arch...and she also liked how you matched the envie to the note card... ( "how fun to get"---duh!) I pointed out the neat way you used several stamps to add more funto the envie ( i love doing that and getting that!) So kudos all around... no convert in her but she now understands the addiction. Thank you.
Response: Happy to do my small part. I think we'll get her over to our side given time
Comment: Hi Donna! LOVE LOVE LOVE the ATC! It really is one of my favorite ATCs I have ever gotten. I so appreciate all of the time and talent that went into it! Thank you so very much....many hearts to you!
Comment: Oh my gosh ... I got so excited when I saw what you'd done. I'm a big SF fan and it made me wish that I'd done some SF themed ones! Beautiful stuff. The last time I was in London (3 years ago?) I went to the special Doctor Who exhibit - it was really cool, and your stamps made me flip through all my trip photos again. Thanks so much!
Response: Thank you for a nice review! Super pleased you liked the stamps and glad it had you look at your trip photos again!
Comment: hi donna! sorry this rating is a tad late. i just got it a few days ago. thanks so much for the fantastic stuff you've given! i loved everything in it. it is definitely worth more than 1 heart! i want to give you 10 hearts! its wonderful and you've made my day. thanks again!
Response: Yes! You have no idea how worried I was that that wouldn't arrive. I'm pleased you liked it 'cause that's definitely given from the heart! Merci.
Comment: YEA!! I received my ATCs and LOVE THEM!! Thank you so much for choosing a theme that relates to my profile. I would have not thought to approach the challenge in that direction. I love that you found a use for your saved stash :)
Response: I'm so happy you did! Sorry about the crappy envelope - my knee was bothering me so I had to make do with something that happened to fall in my purse from work. Allons-y!
Comment: Despite what you said in your note, I think this card is lovely. :) Thank you for using so many reusable and recyclable materials in your card & for the ATC backings. These will be great for the next reuse and recycle ATC swap!
Comment: Thanks for the ATCs , I particularly liked the Capt Jack/ Dr Who themed ones, i do hope they bring torchwood back to our screens soon, I miss seeing Capt Jack and Ianto, both my favourite characters in the show,
Response: Torchwood will be back next summer. RTD announced it about a month or so ago. Who-hoo!
Comment: Donna, I am sorry about the original no-send. Your envelope got buried in a cleaning spree and I just uncovered it.
Response: That is too weird! I sent you another 4x4 honest to ghod and for some reason the post office returned it to me just last week. They claimed it needed an additional 24 cents and this is crazy since I mailed it from my post office and the clerk said it was fine with the postage on it.
Glad you found it and also happy you gave me a better rating.
Comment: LOVE it this was great, love the birds, how did you know I loved birds.
Response: I am so happy you got the package. Did it arrive pretty much intact?
I didn't know you liked birds But I fell in love with the set @ my local art supply specialty store so...there you have it!
Comment: Dear Donna,
I received your very creative and interesting "mail art craze" you sent to me. I just loved it and was not something I would have ever thought of as something I could have sent through the mail. I would have worried about it arriving safely and it did arrive safely and came without any damage. Thank you again for such a creative and fun mail art craze swap. Have a great swapping month.
Response: I am so happy you got it! And thanks for the heart and kind words. I worried a lot about these little packages but since this was a mail art challenge I crossed my fingers.
Now all I have to worry about are the two partners in Canada and England! Three down, two to go!
Comment: My cards were beautiful! I will treasure them forever! And I love love love the Hello Kitty on Gandalf! Thank you so much! And a special thank you on giving me a live example of how to work on my own!
Comment: It didn't meet in terms of deadline, but she had a good excuse and she apologized for it -- showed concern about her ratings, which means she cared.
Response: This may be a first: responding to a 3 seven years later. I mailed this from my work in an overnight box that wasn't checked regularly. Actually I think I was the only one dumb enough to put something in there. When I asked about it the person in charge was quite chagrined and admitted he never checked the box. Live and learn. Live and learn. Even today when I go to the mailroom I look at that box outside of the mailroom and get chills.
