Response: I really love tatting! It is very soothing and gives me something to do to keep my hands busy. A snowflake takes about 45 minutes, but rewards me more than that! Thanks for your kind comments.

The cookbook made me laugh, I have seen some of the recipes, but a few were new (or interesting old versions). Thanks for the surprises!
Response: I am glad you like what I sent. I wish I could affer a tutorial,,,but I have only been able to teach in person. There are books out, but everyone I have talked to has trouble following them. Maybe you could find someone where you live that would help.

Your cards are so pretty.
Response: My "old maid" Aunt Pauline taught me to tat. She did it all the time, and I loved watching her. Most of my dresses when I was little had tatted lace on them. I am now teaching my 10-year-old granddaughter to tat. She is quite proud of herself!

Response: I think my inablilty to think of ways I sabotage myself was some sort of sabotage! I am just very good at it! I don't think it is a positive thing, but something I need to work on. I am busy trying to be more aware of how I sabotage myself. Another way of growing.

The ATC's are also very nice. It felt special knowing you used your family album to make these!
Response: I am so pleased that you liked what I sent. I was apprehensive about the ATCs, so I am glad you felt they were special. I am downsizing pictures, so chose ones that I liked but had similar ones. Tatting is easy for some people. I am not sure I could learn from a book, although there are instructions out there. You might find someone who tats and is willing to get you started.

I've never tried that before - though I have some of the cotton thread - but I sure like how yours came out. I like how you drew a little leaf on the envelope too - nice coordinating touch! Thanks also for the postcards (and the stamps) You are right - I like to send them as well as receive them. And I especially love them when they have maps on them. There is so much to see. I know the CA area pretty well so I enjoyed looking at the artistic rendition of that state and I am planning a trip to Washington DC in the late spring, so I enjoyed looking at the map of Ocean City Maryland. Thanks so much for your thoughtfulness!

Response: I think tatting is easier than crochet. I too have problems with the shaping in crochet. I am not sure I could learn to tat from a book. Maybe you can find someone who could teach you. I am so glad you liked your package!
