Comment: Hi Heather I just received my parcel and I loved it. Trees and rocks are two of my favourite things - I have never seen a fossilized item before nor have I seen petrified wood. I absolutely love these two and will never part with them. Thanks again and I hope we swap again sometime. Pat
Comment: This arrived, I havent had a bad day yet, but I am sure these are all wonderful. Your wrapping paper is pretty with the butterflies, parts of the paper might get upcycled to an art project later. Thank you for the ad postcard it is unique and made me wish I could go see that art exhibit. Thank you. ETA I am so sorry I never clicked on the 5 and the heart to actually get this rating marked as sent, I have had bad days since then, and I have just LOVED your gifts. esp the one with the cards inside and the scrapbooking pocket. Thank you.
Comment: Thanks for the artwork and card. I can see you put in a lot of effort--but that is what this group is all about. I am glad the piece brought you some comfort while you were creating it. I am sorry to hear about your friend. Thanks you for the holiday wishes.
Comment: WOW!!! This is just gorgeous! Did you do the yellow dots yourself or was that on the paper already? Is the glitter a marker or glitter glue or what? So much to look at on this beautiful little ATC.
Response: Thanks, the dots were painted with bubble wrap. As for the glitter, it's Gelly Roll Clear Star (my favorite). Also, thanks for the heart, much appreciated.
Comment: It's beautiful! I'm much more "at home" with drawing so could you share with me which technique you used to achieve that texture? It's awesome! Even if you didn't draw anything it would still be awesome! :))
Response: Thank you for the compliment. I used tissue paper 'glued' down in wrinkles with clear gesso for the texture. Clear gesso is one of my favorite tools. It is gritty and other mediums really can grip ahold.
Comment: It was great to get your mail today ^0^ Right after I put my part of the swap into the mailbox ^.^ I'm so envious of your drawing skills, the girl looks really rotten ^0^ The papers were also very nice and awwwww a ceramics flyer ^0^ Thank you very very much!! I loved this swap!
Comment: Thanks so much! A lovely package and beautifully wrapped. I had a lot of fun opening it up at school today, a nice treat for between classes. I've never seen paper soap or pink tic tacs before, and I can't wait to use to other things too!
Comment: I loved your unique valentine (but will I be brave enough to try it?!). I have been a Sue Grafton fanatic since A Is for. . . Why can't she write faster? Thanks so much for the great papers, too. Kathy
Comment: lucky me to receive such a mindful gift. Thank you for my White Tara. I too was torn between the white and the green. I ended up doing the green. Your work is truly lovely and worthy of a heart. Thank you not only a wonderful swap but being part of the group. It is swappers like you that make it a true joy.
Comment: Thanks, I really like the technique that you used and thank you for the little birds too. I would have given a heart but the card is not the standard ATC size.
Response: I'm sorry about being off the tiny bit. Working with shrink paper is not an exact science and I didn't realize the small difference would offend. If you would rather a paper version in exact sizing I would happily send you one in exhange for this one back
Comment: OOOh...I really like your papercutting technique. The colors contrast nicely and I love the texture and shine to it all. Interesting even how the appendages intertwine :) Thank you also for the textured paper and map. I may use the texture as a stamp since it seems to be a sturdy piece. Thank you and hugs. Have a great week.
Comment: Thank you so much for the fantastic ATC. I love your idea about it being a kite. We have some great Chinese New Year postage stamps in New Zealand and the Chinese New Year celebrations seem to be getting bigger each year as we get more Chinese migrants in our country. Thanks once again for the effort you put into your ATC - you are very talented.
Response: Thank you, I liked the concept and ended up making one for myself as well.
Comment: Got my package today and LOVED IT!
Love the little butterflies, the ribbon and the handmade journal pages were outstanding, I don't do journals but they will make beautiful ATC backgrounds. Everything was great thank you...Hugs
Response: Oh my, I am glad you like it. It just dawned on me that I forgot to put the note into the parcel, sorry about that.
Comment: I was not sure if I should wait to open the package at Xmas or now. Of course I chose now. What a wonderful package. I really like everything you put into the swap. Don't worry about not wrapping. I appreciate your efforts. Happy holidays. take care.
Comment: I really loved your work, and really really enjoyed seeing the postcard from one of your exhibtions. Thank you so much.
Response: I think the F was my most favorite alphabet letter I have made so far. Also, the funny part about the view card is that it was completely unindictive about the artwork in the show. I suppose we had purpose in doing it like that though. Happy swapping.
Comment: Thanks so much for the card. I kind of wish I could see the trunk in person now. Maybe when I visit the US! I'm also terribly sorry for how late this rating is. Life hasn't been kind to me recently.
Comment: I simply love how you made my ATC - am puzzled with the technique of the top layer. Looks like you used acetate as the base? I'd be delighted if you would share this with me? Your card is most interesting, thank you!!
Response: I'm glad you like the atc. For the cover sheet II did use acetate. To that I used Mod Podge and tissue paper. I put some mod podge down then crumple the paper up on top and cover with a second layer of podge. Really simple but fun effect. You could use white glue or matte medium as well.
Comment: I forgot your heart. here it is!
I love printing as well,in fact, the one I sent was from a cardboard etching of a cicada.
Response: Im glad it arrived. The ATC is an origional print from a solar plate I made from a drawing of mine. Also, Twinkies are a sugary spong cake wtih cream filling... http://www.hostesscakes.com/twinkies.asp I haven't had one since I was a kid, too much sugar.
Comment: We just got a new exhibit for our tigers in Indy. Before, most of the time they were in a spot where you couldn't see them. Now, they are up close and personal. Much better!
Many thanks for the great card!
Comment: I am very happy you sent the ND map card! I needed one. If you have unusual MT map cards please send me a note- I enjoy those as well. Bismarck is dear to my heart- my great grandmother lived there & we visited her every year until her death at 104. Thank you very much again for the postcard. :-D
Comment: Heather, thanks for the great package and your note. I love the Salem Sue bit! Hilarious. makes me think of Duffy Lyons and her butter cow she used to sculpt each year for the Iowa State Fair. She died recently, which is sad. Thanks a lot!
Comment: Hi! Thanks so much for the awesome pc! Family and friends can be so silly! I had been married 10 years and go mail in my maiden name! LOL! I haven't been to either of the Dakotas but sure hope to at some point! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Wow I am amazed at the amount of work you put into this tangle! It is outstanding! I've been tangling for about a year but I haven't even come close to your level of expertise. I wish I could give you more hearts, happy swapping.
Response: The funny part is that I did your card (except for the color) while having coffee at Perkins. I really like zentangling so I am glad you liked it.
Comment: Thank you very much for the lovely photos you sent and for the letter with all the info about them :) They were all fabulous and I enjoyed looking through them and reading about what you had in mind when you photographed them. I especially liked the "looking up" photo, a little scary and yet beautiful at the same time, I love photos like that.
Comment: Thank you so much for the well thought-out Atc. I am a bad art student for not remembering the paintings. In college. I took three semesters of Art History, and two of Humanities Through the Arts. The Lascaux cave art in France are magnificent, as are the paintings in the Altamira Caves in Spain and the ones at Peche Mele also in France. I loved it when we studied this period. Thanks for the reminder.
Comment: These stickers were definitely my favorite out of all the ones i received. I love sticker squares and desserts, the animals were really cute, i would love to do a private swap if youre interested, please contact me if you are!
