Comment: Thanks for the postcard! Yes, I did read Anne of Green Gables but am more familiar with the television production from the 1980s. It's funny but both the Swap-Bot postcards I received yesterday mentioned Anne of Green Gables!
Comment: Hello Penny! Thank you very much for the lovely Alice in Wonderland postcard! She is just one of the greatest characters in literature! PEI sounds very nice and I always think the photos of it are beautiful! I am familiar with Anne of Green Gables--I read it when I was a girl! Thank you again! :)
Comment: Totally wonderful plan and congratulations on the new job and better pay!
Update: 05/31/2017: Congratulations on your progress on your savings. I'm glad you are having a good time of it :)
Great ending for your year. We've all had struggles and my year really nosedived but I had fun with this challenge. Thank you for your update :)
Comment: Thanks so much for the lovely swap, Penny! As soon as I saw the envelope I knew what swap ti was for ;) I love the postcard of the Prince Edward Island beaches, so beautiful! Thank you for the lovely beachy notecards, too ;) Gosh, I've never seen a beach covered with snow...that would be so cool! Wow, 18ft of snow sure is a lot! I have never experienced a snowfall, but I really want to! It doesn't snow in Melbourne, the closest thing we ever get is a bit of hail. I know you said to enjoy where I live, and mostly I do, but on days like today it's 35.5 degees celsius (95.9 farenheit), and I'm sitting in my room with roller blinds down and fan on...ugh, I hate hot weather! I just can't deal with it! I usually spend most of January inside like this with the air conditioning on. Hope your winter is not as bad as the 2015 one you described! That photo of the snowed in road was crazy!! Wishing you the very best for 2017 xoxo
Comment: What a delight your letter, images and postcard were, thank you! The bridge is beautiful, with its double humpback. And your envelope was a delight, too, with its poppies and the gorgeous bird stamps.
Response: You are welcome. Once I read your profile, I knew I had the perfect stamps to put on the envelope.
Comment: Thank you SO much for this amazing swap!! The envelope is amaziiiing, I still can't get over the fact it's so beautiful and nicely made. I also loved the card with a bit of glitter on it, and the paper goodies that came inside, thank you! It was really nice and generous of you to send me such a wonderful swap. I can really tell you put your heart into it and I appreciate it <3
Response: You are so very welcome. This was one of the most fun swaps I have done. I wish I had of taken a picture of it now. The lady at the post office loved it so I was hoping you would too!
Comment: Great job! I loved your photos and descriptions - what a beautiful area, in the summer! I’m not a fan of winter - but loved seeing the abandoned house - the snow and worn down building really capture how I feel about winter! Thank you!
Comment: Thanks for your beautiful card! The scene must be very beautiful in Prince Edward Island. As for the postage, sending a postcard from my country to Canada cost about 0.3 US dollars. It's quite cheap. :)
Comment: Thanks for resending. I enjoyed this look into your life. Hope you are able to do something useful with your wedding gown. I should look into that too. I have mine and that of a deceased sister-in-law.
I have never found any beach glass. I probably passed some up before I knew I wanted to find some.
Comment: I love the view of the beach and it is very touching for you to give your wedding gown to be made into angel gowns. The intricate work on the sleeve is beautiful and your gesture is very kind.
Comment: Thanks for this nifty postcard and for participating in my swap! I've actually not been to Vegas, myself. Luckily, we have a local casino within the state, about an hour and a half a way, or so. :)
Comment: Thank you for the awesome Canadian postcard, and the interesting facts about PEI! I know some of the rails or unfinished railways are also being turned into "Rails to Trails" around here, as well, but we definitely are lucky enough to still have some. The year 1989 was when I was born, so it's been 27 years! LOL
Comment: Hi again Penny!
So happy to be receiving a card again from you. Monsoon rains is starting at this time, rains come during late noon and stops before midnight. Hope to catch up with you again on next swap. Best regards to you!
Response: Thought it was neat to have you as a partner almost back to back. Hope the rain lets up for you. Thanks for the rating.
Comment: Thank you Penny for the lovely postcard. Since swapping postcards i too realise how much i love lighthouses. We do have some scattered around here. The place you live seems so lovely. I love your 'full' house. All the best, karen💟
Comment: Thank you so much for this delightful mail. I loved everything about it and the booklet was super and full of information. I'm so glad we did this swap and my fingers are crossed that my mail is with you early next week ja x
Response: You are welcome. I had a lot of fun doing this swap. Eagerly awaiting yours. I'll let you know when it arrives.
Comment: Hello Penny! Thank you for the lovely card and extra goodies you gave me! I love every single one of them! <3 And the best part was that it arrived only 2 days before Valentines' Day! HAPPY VALENTINES' DAY TO YOU! I hope you had a wonderful time yesterday with your loved ones, whether it's your other half, your family, your friends, or just yourself! ;DD
Response: Thank you for the rating. Glad it arrived just in time
Comment: Great Victorian Valentine's Day postcard! You mentioned Nicholas Sparks- I'm reading his latest, "See Me," right now! I can't help but wonder who will die! I'm a Titanic fan, too. There are some cool books out there that I have read about the voyage. One was about all of the honeymooners aboard the ship, another about what happened to the passengers who lived, and others about the experience of being on such a grand ship that turned into such a disaster. It doesn't matter how many books I read, I always hope that they somehow miss that iceburg. But, if that were to happen, no one would know what Titanic is!
Response: Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it. Funny thing...there's another swap coming your way. I got you as a partner for a second time. Freaky!
Comment: Hey Penny, your card arrived today, thank you! Yippee :)
All your aspirations for the coming year sound very much like my own!!! Soooo much! I love the extras too, especially the Prince Edward Is stickers. I hope 2016 goes as planned for you, and me!! Take care x
Response: Thank you. So glad it made it there. Yes, lots of aspirations...hopefully I can accomplish something this year....even if it is one thing.
Comment: Thank you so much for your lovely Halloween card and a the little bits that came with it. I have treasured since it arrived.
I am appalled at myself for not rating sooner even though I have been stripped of time. I apologise again that it took so long.
Comment: Thank you for a wonderful Halloween card, nice letter, and goodies! I know what you mean about the fall weather and then the snow... hopefully the weather will hold out a little longer. You must have a fantastic collection of glass - I've only managed to spot a few pieces, but I don't have the ability to look often. :-)
Comment: I ♥ the vintage Rules for Sweethearts postcard that you sent! Thanks so much! (Wasn't the U2 concert great? Both our sons and DIL saw it in East Lansing, MI. That stage was a show in itself!)
Comment: Very cute card! I lived in boston from the time I was 9-16 and the card reminded me a lot of home!
That's cool that you get to see so many celebrities up where you are :) I saw U2 several years ago-it was a great concert :)
Comment: I've wanted to visit Prince Edward Island ever since I read/watched Anne of Green Gables as a little girl. Thank you so much for all the info (only makes me want to go ever more!) and the wonderful map postcard of a place I didn't have already! Can't wait to add it to my special map postcard album :-)
Comment: I'm jealous that you live so close to the beach, and one with sea glass no less! I'm sure it's a beautiful area. Also I think it's awesome that one of your favorite movies is Brokeback Mountain. I am a fan of it as well :) Oh and I do indeed know of Prince Edward Island from the Anne of Green Gables books- makes me want to read them all over again haha.
