Comment: Hi Fi, nice to swap with you again! Cool postcard - the orangey bits look vaguely like bacon. I'm always impressed at how other people can make collages without any glue wrinkles. What is your secret??
Response: No secret at all: I just can't seem to convince anyone of how powerful this tool is—the Xyron sticker maker. I have one in 2 1/2" and one in 9".
Comment: Thank you so much for such a lovely piece of your art with so many details and care.... Loved it the Chapter.... Symbolic and deep! I wish you too a great 2017.. Keep doing your hard work, being alive is worthy!!! Hugs!!!
Response: Thanks so much for your kind words! and for the heart!
Comment: Thank you for an awesome postcard. I think it is in Kandinsky style? Those bright colors are awesome and it is just right now my fav piece of snail mail. :) Will write more in a message asap.
Response: Definitely Kandinsky style: in fact, it's a semi-copy of one particular Kandinsky: look for the bright red one and you'll find it. I'll be writing to you soon, on paper, I hope. (I really like pen and and ink and paper!) Thanks for the heart....
Comment: Delighted to get your great card, Fi, Love all your imagery, especially the burial cairns, scorpion & those fun Oaxacan woodcarvings. I'm a big fan of them. Your postcard made me pull out that bottle of tequila I've been saving though, so excuse me while I go round up the lime & salt!
Response: You GO for it, Linda! I'm a tequila drinker myself...thanks for the heart, and I look forward to getting something from YOU some day. =smile=
Comment: love the bit of purple postcard….. Did you go to Kinkaid School???? my hubby was a 4th grade teacher there from 89- 2002….
so you've been a TEXAN….. I went to school in Missouri….in Nevada….small world…..thanks for the great postcard!
Response: Your comments are great! Yes, I went to Kinkaid, and my mother was the principal of the lower school way back in the mid-60s through 70s. Thanks for the heart!
Comment: I love the mushroom story. I could just see them all together. How funny, you should think about writing professionally. You have a very active mind. the images are so nice, I have no idea where you found them. Thank you for making this just for me. I will treasure it.
Response: Thanks for your kind words! Actually, I have written professionally—but only nonfiction.
Comment: Well I'm delighted that you were my partner too & hope it happens more often! I keep returning to explore your card again & again since there's so much going on. What great sources you cull from. I am captivated by your "ghost of an unhappy man" & love the rubber stamped skulls as well. Thanks so much for both the card, the laughs & for hosting the neutrals series. I'm loving it.
Response: Oh my, thank you, Linda, for all your kind words! We should definitely stay in touch...
Comment: Thank you for your amazing neutral PC.It's probable one of the most interesting I've ever received. I've had that translucent thing happen to me too. Great Postcard, looking forward to the next neutral swap.
Response: Thank you, Joan, for your kind words, and for the heart! =smile=
Comment: Super, Man! P.S. D'oh! I forgot about the fancy zip until just now, so I had to come back and let you know that I really enjoyed it. What is that big wide sticker you used as the base? I like it! Looks like postal ephemera, but better...
Response: 'Glad you like it! That label underneath the zip code is something I picked up on Etsy, I believe: I have no idea about its origin. Thanks for the heart!
Comment: So your spiders absolutely wowed me when I got them from the post box today! And the fact that you despise them made it so much more interesting! I read Cujo when I was in high school, maybe 16? And remember reading it in the hot tub at night and calling my older brother on the phone and making him come turn the back porch light on for me because I was scared to get out of the hot tub in the dark!
Response: I actually don't despise spiders: I'm just irrationally afraid of them. They are indeed beautiful. You should reread _Cujo_ some time: it has rewards for adults, too. =smile=
Comment: What a thoroughly enjoyable piece of mail-art that was ! I loved the hippo-ellie-owl front and then, (after careful slitting of the tape) opening up and just experiencing the joy that was your fold-a-note to me, yes I loved that part most especially !!! What a lovely ramble my eyes did take as they wandered along a meandering path of images...stopping to dawdle and soak in the interesting and varied texts that formed a fine and literate background for it all...Many thanks for this, Fi, truly...there may well be a reciprocal effect from this...a hundred hearts to you, and a happy Spring!
Response: What a wonderful comment! I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
Comment: I love it Fi!! I love that you choose to go black and white with it too. Your right that it isn't done enough.. I have been collecting some images lately to do a black and white one soon. Great stamps you chose too! Thank you so much! :)
Response: What a great response—thank you so much, Shannon!
Comment: Thank you! Thank yo! Once for the post card and once for the swap. I miss you and at times wonder how you and Bob are doing. If you ever want a pen pal just write or send me your address so I can.
Response: Bob and I are doing pretty well, given that he's still quite depressed. Thanks for asking, and thanks for the heart! I'm kind of overwhelmed w/ penpals right now, but I may take you up on that kind offer some day in the future. =smile=
Comment: Fi, squeeeeeee! LOVE IT! 1st of all, I met Anna Banana 2 weeks ago in SF, so the artistamp was appropo! Love it! 2 days ago, I was reading up on String theory and here comes your card. Serendipitous. I love this surreal type Art! Thanks for all the cool postage, not wasted on me! I have to confess, I don't often check to see who is sending to me but this time I did and I was gleefully anticipating some HAPPY mail from you! Merci beaucoup!
Response: That's great! I'm envious of your meeting Anna Banana. Veux-tu une correspondance en français?
Comment: Pretty cool beads mz. Fiona! Looks like a pretty intense hobby! Thank you so much for sharing! You missing Houston yet!? Lol!
Response: Am I missing Houston YET? Oh man, I've been missing Houston for the 23 years since we moved away! =laugh= It's OK, though: bein' homesick is sort of a bittersweet pleasure. I'm glad you liked the collage, and thanks for the heart!
Comment: Fee-Hee-Hee! Love it! Great card! I won the partner lottery on this swap! I love the red color, too. Hope you will enjoy your new kitties, I hear they are a lively, talkative bunch! I can hardly wait to show my daughter your card, she loves comic book graphics. Thanks for a happy mail day! = ) ♡♥♡♥♡♥♡♥♡♥♡
Response: Oh boy! I'm so happy you're happy! =smile=
Comment: Fiona, Thank you for taking time out of your busy day to get the nice postmark on Jenny. Those bunny photo cards are just too cute that I can't stop looking at them the lop looks just like our Casey when she was little. Now she is 7 and just hangs out with us.
Response: I'm so glad you like it! Thanks for the heart...
Comment: I love, love, love this envelope! :) And please, tell me whatever sealant/adhesive you used, because it was very clear that nothing was budging. And I adore the awesome postcards and stamps you sent me! They fit me perfectly, I'll have a hard time using them instead of hoarding them!! ;)
Response: I'm so excited to hear that you love it—appreciate your enthusiasm—and thanks for the heart!
Comment: Thanks for the great Kelp Forest themed card, artwork, and stickers. What a great artistamp! I really want to give that a try sometime. Thanks also for the book rec's. I need to get back to reading more, especially with the cool weather coming!
Response: I'm glad you liked it! Thanks for the heart...
Comment: Oh yes! I loved it all, from the envelope, label & stamp to the two perfect postcards. I actually have an original of the TV pyramid smashup, sent to me by an Ant Farm groupie back in the day. And the Swimming collage is wonderful. I may just have to steal the idea to use the vintage swimmer images I've been hoarding. Thank you so much.
Response: I'm so glad you liked it! And thanks for the heart...
Comment: Hi Fi,
Love the "man needs a fish" card so much! I saw the pair of them on Kollage Kit and loved them, but didn't realize they were yours. I was tickled to see it in my mailbox today. Thanks!
Response: 'Glad you like it, and thanks for the heart!
Comment: I'm so sorry about the death of Annabel Lee! I couldn't help feeling sad while I was reading the poem "Annabel Lee"... I love the imagery in "In a Dark Time", but I'm still trying to figure out what the poem means.. Thank you for sharing!
Comment: Well, if I have to keep running into the same someone I'm glad it's you! Don't worry about me ever getting tired of getting mail from you cuz i don't. Love the brown card - it turned out very brown. LOL. Love it all!! Thank you muchly.
Response: Thanks so much for your kind words, Ange! Don't forget about that long letter you owe me... =smile=
Comment: Thank you so much for the amazing letter I received from you yesterday. I really enjoyed reading it and will definitely write you back:) And thanks for the cards:)
And I love the envelope you made for me. Thank you soooo much:)
Response: Cool! I would really like to have a correspondence with you, so I look forward to your reply!
Comment: Wew, thank goodness I didn't have to restrain myself from looking at your flickr page. I would NOT have been able to do that. So ... guess what arrived today? How very fun. Love the "pop" fun of it. YOu should totally host a swappy type thing for this style. I'd like to do it too. What do you mean my profit says dinosaur on it? I love the whole things. Thanks so muchly!
Response: Your *profile* says "dinosaur," not your profit..=smile= I'm so glad it got there! Woo hoo!
Comment: So worth the wait! Love the tree! We had a tree like that in our subdivision but it got cut down to build more houses.... SO SAD! Love your posty girl & didn't see any hibbie gibbies! LOL!! Thank you so much! Hope to swap with you again...
Response: I'm so glad you like it! Thanks for the heart...
Comment: Thanks for the wonderful O'Keeffe postcard! (The "I" was a hard one!) Thanks also for the nice comments about my profile and for the very cool stamp! Most people call me Aimee but some call me "dars" or "darzy" which I like!
Comment: Thanks for the asemic writing PC- what a cool idea. I was stumped on this one as well - I took several shots at it and then ended up sending Taking the Dog for a Walk, even though I had made it months ago.
Response: Glad you like the crazy writing, Tina—and thanks for the heart!
Comment: Ohmygosh! This postcard is breath-taking! Absolutely gorgeous with those bright colors against the distressed book page background. Thanks so much! And I would love to be pen pals with you! I'll write as soon as I can...or you can write first. Either way is fine with me. :)
Response: Great! I'm glad to hear you like it. Why don't you write to me? Tell me about your life, about what's on your mind, anything at all.... =smile=
Comment: Dear Fiona! Wow how happy I am to have recieved your awesome letter and mail art! Im refraining myself from going all fan girl on you!!!LOVE just everything about everything haha! See you In the mail my reply will be along shortly. PS thankyou so much for the fruits postcards holy crap! Comment: It arrived today! I told you not to worry!
Thank you so much for the wonderful parcel and especially the hot chocolate and the beautiful envelopes. I squealed with glee when I saw the hot chocolate and the Hola me Llamo stickers.
Response: Terrific! I'm so pleased you're so pleased—and thanks for the heart!

Response: You're welcome, Yvonne! I really enjoyed making that journal for you! (and thanks for the heart)
Comment: Thank you for this absolutely gorgeous maxi PC Fi. I cannot decide which side I like more- front or back?
Response: I'm so glad it got there! I give credit to the lava lamps: I only put one lava lamp on the postcard that never got there, so on the re-send I put three. The magic power of **three** lava lamps cannot be denied, =grin=
Comment: Yes, Fi, right up my alley! These are exactly what I have in mind when I do these kinds of swaps! I actually love the airmail tape on the outside of the envelope so much, I would've given a 5 for that! I also love how you stenciled my name & address. Very cool!
Response: Great! I'll send you a PM about sending each other more handmade envies. Thanks for the heart!
Comment: Love your card, Fiona! Interesting, educational & artsy! What more could I ask for. And all those skinny tentacles came through the post office with no glitches.
Now I want a salt water aquarium!
Response: It would be cool to have a salt water aquarium, wouldn't it, even if the ammonites are all gone. Thanks for the heart!
Comment: A thousand hearts for you for sharing your excellent rubber stamp collection, the best I've *ever* seen, and one that will inspire my future rubber stamp purchases from now until time's end. I think we only have one the same: the Mabie Todd fountain/dipping pen nib. It's an awesome stamp, isn't it! But then, all yours are.
Response: Awww....that's sweet of you to say about my weird & quirky collection of stamps. =smile=
Comment: thank you for the wonderful package of stamped images fiona! I don't think you have weird taste at all :) love the collection you have! one question though; where did you get that wonderland post stamp from? it's awesome and a must have for any alice fan ;)
Response: I'm afraid I don't remember where I got the wonderland post stamp, Cheetarah....sorry! You could try a google search for it...Thanks so much for the heart!
Comment: Hey Fi, I've been carrying around your Rhino postcard with the slugs rubber stamped on it. And I realized that although I hadn't contacted you, I also hadn't rated you for this one. My bad, phooey on me. I just love this PC. We *Must* make a date to write & stamp PCs, or envies or Something, at the New Deal, or a park (minus the mosquitos, if you please). We really DO have a slew of things in common. Have a good end of Spring 'til then. ;)
Response: I agree that it would be fun to get together: the New Deal would be great! I'll send you a msg....(oh, and thanks for the heart, and don't sweat about the delayed rating)
Comment: A fellow literaty aficionado as well--nice to hear! I must admit I tried WG Sebald (different book--but struggled with him and set him aside for a later date...will go back however). Of course the Cezanne is wonderful--and both stamps you used are great! I'll drop a card in the mail back to you very soon! :)
Response: I'm looking forward to your reply! Sebald's *Rings of Saturn* (which has nothing to do with the rings of Saturn, except in a metaphorical sense) was the book that hooked me bad—considered by many to be his finest. Thanks for the heart!
Comment: Thanks so much for the cool Kandinsky card--love it! I would love to swap cards with you--always nice to find someone who also appreciates art and has similar interests. Shall I send one of my favorites back? (I'm guessing you wouldn't mind, right? :) ). Cheers.
Response: Absolutely, send me one of your favorites! Thanks for the heart, Lit Cat Extraordinaire!
Comment: Hello Fiona, thanks for your yellow postcard. I like it a lot and it was good to hear that you like comics as well. I have to fill you in on what's going on in comics. The drawings made me smile. U deserve a heart ;)
Response: Actually, those weren't drawings: they were made with rubber stamps. I hope you will write to me about independent comics! Thanks for the heart.
Comment: Thank You so much for this PC ! Visiting Yellowstone with my folks was the last vacation I took with my mom before she passed. Would love to visit again stay at inn and write postcards !! Many hugs to you !
Response: Great—I'm so glad it hit the spot! And thanks for the heart!
Comment: Love the paper that you used for your letter! I am jealous of your sailing experience and thank you for the camping tip. I wish you the best with your new adventure discovering your artistic side. :-)
Response: That stationery is by Lotte Jansdotter: if you go to www.chroniclebooks.com and search on her name, you'll find it. Thanks for the heart!
Comment: I LOVE elephants, so I loved this card. Thanks so much. I've checked out some of the mail art sites, but I"m not all that crafty, and they intimidate me, though I do occasionally decorate an envelope or something!
Response: Mail art is wide open—whatever you feel like doing. Don't be intimidated, just go for it! Thanks for the heart...
Comment: You know the hands underneath kitty's chin? I think it's supposed to look like the dinosaur ate a funny little person with a furry cat-like head (and you just ignore the body like with some of the dog costumes). Funny thing though is that it looks kinda homemade - like they just snipped a hand puppet open a bit wider. Beautiful b/fly stamp, btw. Also, that kitt-cat looks a lot like my Elsie Wisdom. Marmalade fur. Thanks, Fi, for your srsly WEIRD postcard. I was delighted to get you!
Response: You're welcome, you ol' non-letter-writer, you! =grin= I hope you're surviving OK. Love, Fi
Comment: Dear Fiona,
I got your letter! Thank you so much. It's great. I really enjoyed reading it (twice!). It's like getting a letter from an old friend. I will surely write back as soon as I can (now it's my turn to get stage fright :)
Response: You don't have to get stage fright, Gina—you've already got the job! =grin= Thanks for the heart!
Comment: Wow, you know what a viola da gamba is! Also nice favorite word too. My favorite words are "lemurs" and "little granny." "Tiny head" used to be one too but I said it for so many years I don't say it anymore.
Response: I not only know what it is, I've heard my friend play it on numerous occasions. Thanks for the heart!
Comment: Thanks for the "odd" PC! I guess that's what they had to do before computers! :-) Good luck with your writing project. I am also writing--literary criticism. I am putting all other projects on hold until I get this one done!
Response: Literary criticism! i know it's not exactly a popular thing, but I happen to LOVE reading literary criticism...why don't you drop me a line with the who's and wherefore's...I'm intrigued!
Comment: Thanks for the great postcard! Dang you are right down the street lol! So nice to find out people are so close to me! I've been to some FLW buildings, and you know there's one closer than Fallingwater? Its in VA and its not too bad of a drive! I went to see Taliesin West this summer and it was simply amazing! Thanks for joining and Happy Swapping!
Response: That's so cool you've been to Taliesin West! Thanks for the heart...
Comment: Fi, Fi, Fi... Another interesting and fabulous letter!! How cool are those stamps - love! I appreciate the article you included explaining your fondness for all things fishy. Will write back before the week is out. :D (Thank you also for your patience in waiting for this rating. It is much appreciated!)
Comment: I never had to use paper tape, punch cards, or even cassette tape (I think TSRs used cassettes). But our school had acoustic modems with the big rubber cups for the phone (which was rotary), and I did have a job doing computer backups to huge mag tapes. At work I always had my own terminal or computer, and they always banned smoking at your desk just before I got there (nice for me cuz noone in my family smokes and it would have been quite a shock for me to sit in smoke all day).
Response: Yep—we had those big rubber cups for the rotary phones, too! So much fun thinking about all that old tech...thanks for the heart!
Comment: Great orange LAYLA postcard! Love your printing, too! Sorry to hear that MSU didn't work out for you... but in the middle of winter, pretty sure you were happy with the choice you made! Thanks for the ORANGE card & orange decorative details.
Response: You're welcome, and thanks for the heart!
Comment: It's always a pleasure to get a postcard from you, Fi, so I apologize for taking an eon to rate you for this one. I love the yellow horses on this PC, almost looks like the artist was making them entirely of circles, it's gorgeous. How clever of you to use a yellow Rothko postage stamp too, & a banana!! Have a great weekend ;)
Response: It's a pleasure to send a pc to you, Lisa! Thanks for the heart!
Comment: Thank you so much for the artistamps booklet. They are so well made and they look so real! How did you make them (with the lick-and-glue and the way they are "printed" in a same sheet of paper?). Well, amazing! Thank you so much!
Response: I'm so glad you like them! I didn't do anything special to make them: I just bought sheets of blank stamps from the Olathe Post...(Thanks for the heart!)
Comment: I LOVE your postcard! I met my husband on a CDC Cyber. My little Smith-Corona Skywriter did NOT like my postcard, either. It balks at some envelopes, too. Single sheets of paper suit it just fine.
I think I'm going to create some more Typewriter Letter swaps. I'm not sure about more PC swaps cuz of the issues with my machine.
Response: That's so cool you met your husband on a CDC! I used to write software for a little PDP, and my husband programmed on a Cyber 171-172. Small world... =smile=
Comment: Love your green Island PC. I grew up on Long Island in New York and I love all islands. Thanks for sending the beautiful green-blue PC and for your note. Springtime happiness to you and yours. Cheers, LPV
Response: You're welcome Karen--and thanks for the heart!
Comment: You are incredible! I LOVE the book and the rocking Texas cards! I would LOVE to share these with you. I think that would be fun. I'll do it as mail art, that will make it even more memorable for both of us.
You didn't know this, as I don't have it posted, but I LOVE zebras. I think they are such amazingly beautiful animals.
Response: Cool beans! I look forward to receiving your mail art letter & starting our Rockin' Texan Pagan exchange! =grin=
Comment: Thank you for the lovely card..It is the first of its kind that I have ever received..I love to see the different kinds of birds. I have become a bird watcher right here in my little back yard!!
Response: I'm glad you liked it! and thanks for the heart...
Comment: Sorry for the delayed rating. So much to look at on this one! I like all of the layers, the historical blurbs, the aftermath of the banal consequences from war. Very interesting and original, like the placement of the monster teeth where the art would be picked up, very neat, I love it, Thank you! I love the stamps you used also (Edgar A. Poe fan here too) Thank you!!!
Response: Terrific! I really appreciate your comments, because I can tell you spent some time with the piece--that's what I wanted to happen. Thanks for bein' there to send it to, and thanks for the heart!
Comment: Fiona, love, love, love this pc. your writing even looks kinda ancient, i dont mean that in a bad way either. everything, the writing, the card, the idea, just flows so smoothly. thanks so much. if you can please send me your address so that i can send you a pc in return. I rated you a 5 and a heart. thanks again....cooooooooooollllll........robin
Response: Thank you so much for your comments--and for the heart!
Comment: OMG what an amazing package. Love love all your fishy drawings. Did you color them one by one? Amazing.Thank you also for the stamps and the envelop, it's a piece of art by itself :) Thank you!
Response: I don't quite know what you mean by "one by one"...I colored the drawings with markers, scanned them, and printed them for the zines. Thanks for your comment on the envie! I drew three of those, but forgotten to scan one. Anyway, I'm glad you liked it and thanks for the heart!
Comment: Your 'pamphlet' arrived today and it blew me away, Fi. Thank-decimal-point-YOU-repeater...SO, so good! However, I fell for the confusion in your letter hook, line and sinker, and blamed myself for not writing properly yet (I = so sorry, etc) for your forgetting who I was. *teardrop* A few hours later and I'm still not fully over that sick-to-the(-faint)-heart feeling that I'm as forgettable as all that!
Response: Awww...my letter was meant as a *joke*, my dear! Anyway, I'm off to your profile to say that again. Glad you liked the fishies! =smile=
Comment: Fiona, the card was great and perfectly fitted the theme! But you get a heart because of the personal writing on the back of it...always so nice to actually get REAL correspondence from someone. And now I'm gonna check out your profile, since you said we have similar interests, musically.
Response: I'm afraid I don't mention our many commonalities, Brendan, in my profile--such as Tom Waits, Aretha Franklin, Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison, Mark Knopfler, the Traveling Wilburys, Michelle Shocked, the Ramones, Warron Zevon, Van Morrison, Lou Reed, Jimi Hendrix, the Rolling Stones & others...thanks for the heart!
Comment: Thank you so much for the Clyfford Still postcard. I'll have to look this gent up, as the painting is quite intriguing. I thought at first it was a map. Thanks too for hosting this swap, & for the pretty bird postage which was hand cancelled. I love the clear postmark, & it arrived in 1 day! Always a pleasure to swap with you, Fi, although I'm sure you hear (read) that all the time. ;) Happy Spring!
Response: You're welcome, LIsa--how cool that you noticed the pc was hand-cancelled--I wait in line to have that done, but hardly anyone ever comments on it. =laugh= Happy Spring to you, too!
Comment: ooooh pretty fish :) My family was like "what did you get in the mail today!" love it!
Thank you :) a squillion hearts to you!
Response: You poor thing, having to tell your family "I got NOTHING in the mail today--it's EMPTY"! =laugh= That's the deal with this mail-art stuff--all surface, no depth. =smile= Thanks so much for your wonderful response!
Comment: Merci pour la carte postale. I loved the little grasshoppers on the bicycle with the beautiful bright yellow background, so imaginative. I also enjoyed your nice green note and le papillon vert. It was a wonderful effort and a pleasure to receive.
Response: You're welcome! I enjoyed picking & writing that card for you. Et merci pour le coeur!
Comment: Thank you so much!
I carry it in my coaches' bag..........hope it brings me and the team lots of luck...........have a BIG provincial soccer tournament this weekend plus 35 cm of snow hitting us........so the drive this weekend will be tough (3 day event)
Response: Great! I'll be wishing you luck then--for the weather *and* for the games. Thanks for the heart!
Comment: This ATC is amazing, if this is your first, you have a brilliant start to your credit and you can only get more awesome from here! The envie is sooo beautiful and your letter with the artwork border just finishes out the entire swap perfectly! This is the kind of ATC swap I love receiving! Thank you again!
Response: I'm thrilled! Thank you so much for all your help & your patience, and thanks for the heart!
Comment: Fiona-Truly an extra special package! You have the best USPS stamps, the mail art was awesome, your letter was beautiful, the envelopes were so unique and thoughtful, and, I love the tape! I want that tape! You, Fiona, are the total package! Thanks sooo much! = )
Response: How sweet of you to say those things, Paula--you're welcome! And thanks for the heart. =smile=
Comment: This is an absolutely wonderfully told memory of that period in your life. You pace and chatty tone were easy and fun to read. I love all the extra information you worked in to make the reader understand what was going on and where you were and what you were like and the people around you. Also I love the envelopes you use when you send me stuff -- they are gorgeous.
Response: Thank you so much for the fabulous feedback! Those envelopes are by Lorna Jansdotter, and I'm pretty sure I got them at chroniclebooks.com.
Comment: Thank you for the postcard. (I actually have this card already hehe). The cat on my avatar is my baby boy Aiden (4 yrs old). You picked my favorite postage stamp. The gray cat looks just like my childhood cat Frisky who passed on several years ago. I like all the rubber stamps you used too. Are those handmade? If not.. where did you get them? Best, Elyse
Response: Gosh, it strikes me as odd that you already had that postcard... Glad you liked the stamp and the stamps...and thanks for the heart!
Comment: Wow! What a Great Postcard. It's a small world. I love the rhino stamp, the appropriately matching cat postage, & the hand cancellation. Do they give you any grief when you ask for that? I love it that your gal cat has the upper paw! Hope to swap with you again. Take care ;)
Response: You're welcome, College Park! =grin= Thanks for the heart! And no, no problem about hand cancellation: you just have to wait in line for a clerk to do it.
Comment: Thanks Fiona for this postcard ! Yes, I live in Corsica but you know, at the moment I cannot stay under the tree half naked, with only a sarong ... : D My neighbour would think I'm really mad !!!!
I give you a star for the stamps, they are "super", thanks.
A caress for Annabel Lee and Edgar Poe, they look like Egyptian gods.
Response: You're welcome, Laurence--I bet you would look good in a sarong. =smile= My husband wears one in summer weather--seriously, he does! Thanks for the heart!
Comment: This is probably the most unique postcard I have received so far! My tech-inclined hubby remembers these hard drives. Me, I just type and think it's magic. I looked at your profile and your cats are gorgeous! We have a black Oriental Shorthair named Tristan and I once owned a white Oriental named Mr. Pink. I have never seen a blue. Wow! Iridescent!
Our newest love is a white Cornish Rex kitten we call Dexter. I am inspired now to add photos on flickr. Thanks!
Response: That's so cool you have (& have had) Orientals, too! Do put up some photos. Thanks for the heart, and Happy New Year!
Comment: Oh Fi! What treasure :) Krampus (that devil!) must have gotten into Santa's bag. Thank you for a great card (and the education that came with it) as well as the postcards and stickers. They are perfect - I'm going to have to show you what they inspired in me :) Happy New Year hon - make memories.
Response: So glad to hear it arrived--yay! And thanks for the hear. And Happy New Year!
Comment: Thank you for the Christmas postcard, it made me laugh! Honestly, two kids riding a croc (or is it an aligator?) that's ice skating? What the hell did the artist put in his/her eggnog? Happy Holidays! <3 (edit: added the heart, what was I thinking in not hearting this hilarious pc?!)
Response: That's Edward Gorey for you: he always has a wonderful sense of the peculiar! Thanks for the rating...
Comment: ehehe! You are so funny, I will definitely be replying soon! The okra, ooo.. tsk.. I think I can get past that. haha! Thank you for such a fun letter, it made me smile and even laugh at times! Will write soon! :)
Response: I'm glad you liked it--I seem to have spaced out and not made a copy of it, so I have no idea what I said! =eeeek=
Comment: Thanks for the nice long discussion of your varying ambitions and how they've panned out in your life. I really enjoyed reading it. I have a couple of thoughts I'll PM you about, I don't like long responses in the rating space.
Comment: Thankyou very much for the vintage Krazy Kat cartoon pc it's wonderful! The stamps you used are great too :) Yep, I do think that it's cool that we as Pisces like the same scents, I like joss sticks and have a packet of Nag Champa on the go at the moment!
Response: You should go to soul-flower.com--use this url--http://tinyurl.com/24dqwjb--and get their Nag Champa oil. It's cheap! and *heavenly*....thanks for the heart!
Comment: Hello Fiona, I , too, love the card. Putting the lizards on the card is fine, in fact I like them very much, IF you had sent the card naked that would have been OK, and would not have effected your rating. I love your handwriting..it is the neatest that I have ever seen with a marker. Also, I love the rubber stamping altogether. You must have been doing it for a long time. Enjoy the day!!
Response: Thank you, Anita, for the heart--and more, for the compliments. Chisel-tip (e.g., Zig) markers do enhance one's handwriting... =smile=
Comment: I don't know how I missed rating this, but your postcard and Steve memory are fantastic. :) You talked about him running back and forth because he saw two whales--that's what I loved, too, that amazing enthusiasm. (And that's what I'd do, too, should've seen me at the beach as a kid when dolphins showed up.) Love the hand drawn snake and gator stamp, too!
Comment: thank you so much for the awesome stamp! i absolutely love it and your letter about it! you know, it reminds me of frank in donnie darko (the dark bunny suit) which i love! i agree that master carve is crumbly :( speedy carve pink is so much better. thanks for taking a plunge and going for it! i do love the result!! *hugs*
Response: Oh, I'm so pleased, you just don't know, That's such a compliment, that it reminds you of the "Donnie Darko" bunny. Now I'm so psyched for more carving...thanks for all the support!
Comment: Thanks so much for the candle and postcard! I really liked the way you described doing the art on the card. Unlike a lot of the stuff I get from Swap bot, this one's a definite keeper. Thanks again! **SMOOCH**
Response: You're welcome! If go you must, go in good health! =smile=
Comment: LOVE your journal page postcard Fiona, thank you! I don't think it seems creepy- dreamy, atmospheric and poetic- but not creepy. Hope your flu is going away, I'm battling a cold myself at the moment- lots of tea and naps.
Response: Thank you for your kind words! I'm slowly learning when to trust my own instincts...thanks for the heart.
Comment: How cool Halloween-postcard, thank you so much! I love it, thanks!!! :) We don't really celebrate Halloween but I think that would be nice to buy a pumpkin and hollow it out and put a candle inside. :)
Response: Great! I'm glad you liked it, silly though it is. Thanks for the heart.
Comment: OMG OMG OMG! You are CRAZY girl! These box is over the top! Thank you so so so much! 1 million hearts! I love everything. Thempostcard and sticker books OH MY! The box itself is CRAZY!The sitckers are GREAT! Do you do those yourself? I saw "Canon" on the back so I thought you may print them. If so, were do you get the blank printer stickers? I can't thank oyu enough. You are a great asset to Swap-bot! BIG HALLOWEEN HUGS!
Response: I'm SO GLAD!!! omg, girl your COMMENT is over-the-top! ==laugh= I'll write you a pm about the stickers I made--the witch ones--as soon as I get better. I have the flu now.
Comment: Fiona, thank you for your captivating story. A most interesting look into the intense aspect of psychiatry and medicine. I would classify your experience as terrifying, for sure. Commendations for your strength under pressure! I was left wondering the fate of the poor patient. Good job!
Comment: Absolutely fascinating experience and insight into an unexpected evening. Your presence of mind and ability to change the direction of that encounter is impressive. It would be interesting to know the status of that family, and if they've received any help in dealing with their issues.
Comment: YOU are the bestest swap partner. I love the Poe stamp. It so cute but scary, you know. I can't wait until I read that book. I am going to send the postcards to everyone who is receiving a handmade card too.
Response: I'm so glad to hear that "Poe-stage" is finding a loving home. =smile= Enjoy all the goodies during a happy, scary Halloween! (Did I give you one of my hand-drawn Halloween pc's, too? Lemme know, and if not, I'll mail you one.)
Comment: awesome card!! it is gory but so so cool! You are right i prob won't show it to my kids but i will enjoy it :-) Reminds me of the horror movies from when I was a kid :-) Thanks a bunch <3<3<3<3
Response: Thanks for your kind words! I'm glad you got a good feeling from it--I sure had fun making it. And thanks for the heart.
Comment: You're right- your swap is so awesome I HAD to join! You're long comment that ended with the "We're all busy professionals here" was hillarious and for that I shall grace you with a heart-- :::magical heart ceremony::: :-)
Response: "Thank you. Thank you. Please hold the applause to 15 minutes. Thank you. Thank you. Yes, yes. That's nice. Thank you...."
Comment: Thanks so much for the wonderful postcard and note. They both brightened my day. I love your mail art, and if I could give you more hearts I would. :o) I had no idea that Scott Adams and I share the same birthday. Perhaps that's one of the reasons Dilbert is my favorite comic strip!
Response: That was the pc chosen entirely at random--I'm glad you liked it, and thanks for the heart! I like "Dilbert" a lot, too.
Comment: Thank you for the wonderful card! It has a lighthouse, which I am also fond of!! I like the Grace Kelly stamp on the card and also your "please hand cancel" stamp. I have never seen one before! I have never read Jack Olsen. I will check him out. You have a wonderful fall as well.
Response: You're welcome! I got the "Please Hand Cancel" stamp in a box of Cavallini rubber stamps w/ miscellaneous postal messages like "Par Avion" & "Confidential." The clerks at my post offfice love that stamp! =grin= Thanks for your other comments & for the heart!
Comment: Oh my goodness gracious! I LOVE this card. LOVE IT. Believe it or not, I actually owned this same card for a long time and had a hard time parting with it. I finally sent it through postcrossing because I don't like collecting or hanging on to unwritten cards. But it was hard because I loved the front so much. Now I get my very own naked and written-on version! Thanks so much!
Response: How remarkable! I'm so glad I picked it for you--and thanks for the heart! =grin=
Comment: Hello Fiona,
I received your postcard for the Water Element Swap on Sept. 4th. I am sorry I am slow in getting your rating done, but have been busy with swaps and other ratings. With that said, I wish to express my appreciation for your interesting and well-thought out postcard. I especially love the three different layers of blue that represent the water. I like the different texturres you used. As well, I appreciate the explanation you shared through your writing to tell your story of your water element picture. I will add this to my collection of of other elements proudly. I look forward to future swapping experiences with you. Until we meet again, Happy Swapping!!!!
Response: Thanks for the heart, Barb, and especially for your kind words--I love comments that give details! =smile=
Comment: I LOVE this card - love the purple, love the birds, love the stamps you used! The "Please Hand Cancel" stamp is very cool. Where did you find it?
Response: I'm glad, Aimee! Thanks for the heart! I got "Please Hand Cancel" in a Cavallini box of postal-themed rubber stamps called "Par Avion." If you can't find 'em, drop me a PM and I'll you where I bought 'em. =smile=
Comment: What an excellent letter!! I loved reading about your book AND your exciting date!!! :) I will try to write back (if you don't mind) PS the little gift for me was so fun... I couldn't figure what was so tiny and just laughed out loud (yep, LOL, but really) when I opened it. YAY!!)
Response: I'm so glad you liked it, and I'd *love* to get a letter from you. Maybe we can be "writing project penpals"....XOXO Fiona
Comment: AIEEEE KITTY! I've sent some of the "cutest Sneeze" postcards out to people and have been silently hoping I'll have some sent to me, and you made my wish come true! It's adorable when cats forget their tail is part of them. And the caribou stamp is AWESOME, I didn't realize those existed. I'm glad you used it! Aieee! :D
Response: That's so cool, what you said! =laugh= Those really are the *cutest* cat postcards. I'm glad you liked the caribou, too: I picked him out special for you. Thanks for the heart!
Comment: You most certainly sent me a disturbing pc. Lol. I love it. So much going on in one little postcard. I keep looking at it and seeing more wow. Fantastic. Mmmm it certain is a far cry from romeo and juliette :). Thank you
Response: I'm glad you like it! It was a hard one for me to give up. I may have to buy that collection again, just to get that one card. =lsugh=
Comment: The first time I received an aerogramme, thanks! :D I loved your list of random things. Things for me are very busy right now, so, with some delay, I will definitely get back to you! :) Thanks for the great swap!
Response: Great--I'm really looking forward to your letter! And thanks for the heart.
Comment: Oh, how I wish there were more hearts to give. Anyone who doesn't believe a postcard can brighten up a whole week has clearly never received one of yours! Thank you SO much. I'll be getting a letter in the post to you very soon......
Response: What a nice thing to say--thank you! I look forward to your letter, and thanks for the heart.
Comment: Your monochromatic is spooky and wacky, all at once. And I love, love, love that the postage is a meat eating plant. Mayans and aliens and slime and carnivorous flowers. I think you have the makings of a great cult movie going on here.
Response: What a great idea--let's get it into development right away! =grin= Thanks for the heart.
Comment: Amazing postcard, thanks so much. I think you gave my older mailman a bit of a fright. That's what I base amazing on, so it works. PLEASE MESSAGE AND TELL ME WHAT SORT OF BACKING YOU'VE USED. PS: There IS a Remus ha
Response: You are TOO KIND--especially on that blush-making blog o' yours. Thanks for the heart-a-rama!
Comment: Fiona - thanks for picking this card and stamp for me. They are awesome! I don't know what's wackier - that you stamped slugs on the back of the card or that I'm thrilled that you stamped slugs on the back of the card! :) Jolene
Response: Slugs are wacky, I agree, but also kinda cool...you take good care of those medical books, OK? =grin= Thanks for the heart!
Comment: Ha ha - I love the personalised stamps; they really made me laugh! And thanks for including the original artwork, that's a really nice touch. Unfortunately, I think the sunny climes of Mwamba Island are far too hot for my 'delicate' sensibilities (hence my decampment to the greyer, cooler surrounds of the UK ;) ); but it's nice to have a memento from 'home'.
Response: Aww...I think you should visit Mwamba Island from time to time, if only in your mind...(thanks for the heart)
Comment: Loved your stamps and very much appreciate how you personalized them to me. I've never had an island named after me before. And thank you for sending extras--I plan to use them on my swap envelopes. I wish I could give you many more hearts--thanks for a lovely, lovely swap.
Response: I'm so glad you like your island! And the reason I sent you the original (in case it's not obvious) is so you can make as many of your personal stamps as you want. =grin=
Comment: Nice PC & beautiful stamps ! Thank you very much ;-) The mark on stamps is red from BEETSVILLE and another one with a star in center and PLEASE HAND CANCEL... I love the stories of the Welsh monk from E. PARGETER (Elie Peters), I'm fan ;-)
Response: I'm glad you liked the stamps! The cancellation is "Beltsville," not "Beetsville." The "Please Hand Cancel" stamp is my own rubber stamp. My postal clerks love it! Thanks for the heart.
Comment: Okay, I'm officially lame. I thought I'd rated you for this (didn't we have a whole conversation about it?), but I guess I forgot? Anyway, this is definitely a monster PC to me because when I was a kid I was afraid that the plants would eat me, so I'm not the least surprised by a child-eating tree!
Response: Vanessa, you are never lame. I was only just getting ready to remind you, so no biggie... BTW, you have, of course, read the hobbit-eating tree section in _Lord_of_the_Rings_?? (Thanks for the <3)
Comment: Thank you for such an awesome and thoughtful swap! I have to say, we either have very similar taste or you are incredibly perceptive, as I actually own a lot of the papers you used myself (the William Morris and the kimono prints) - it makes a nice change to be able to keep them for myself rather than give them away. :-D Thank you again - so much fun!
Response: Thanks for the heart! (We're in touch by e-mail, but I'm tnanking you here so there won't be an unresponded-to rating on my page. =shrug=)
Comment: Thank you for the notecards with envelopes, and your Faux postage was wonderful. I also loved the zipper bag envelope. I will use it to keep my stickers and such!
Response: I'm so glad you liked them all, Anna, and I hope you can really USE the notecards or the envies, not just put them away somewhere. =grin= The zipper bag is one I bought for myself, but I was willing to give it up because they're still selling it at http://www.blueq.com --a cool store! (Thanks for the <3.)
Comment: Thanks for the Rothko pc - I love him! I find his paintings very soothing. Love the stamp and sticker, too!
I usually go by Aimee, but some people use "darzy" as a nickname for me. I like it!
Response: Odd--i find the particular PC I sent you to be energizing, not soothing. But others of his, in cooler colors, I find meditative. Amazing that some people can't stand his art, isn't it? (Thanks for the heart. =smile=)
Comment: I have this set of postcards and I LOVE them! Thanks so much, now I will have one for my collection. Love the Elvis stamp, everything about this postcard made me smile. Perhaps we can do a private swap?
Response: Cool beans. I'm on board, but what would we swap? Drop me a line or something...and thanks for the heart!
Comment: you were right, I loved the postcard!! thank you for thinking of me and you.
Response: All right! But you know, I would never have sent that pc out if I didn't have a duplicate. That's how much *I* love it. =grin= Thanks for the heart--oh, and keep an eye out for more of that artist's work--he's pretty interesting.
Comment: Thank you for the most perfect swap ever!! I jumped for joy as I opened the package and found the book. Even more exciting is what I found in the wooden celtic box...FABULOUS. I am so excited to have the stamps you would not even believe. My hubby even came running when he heard me yell! You have made my week and given me faith back in swap-bot and great partners. Many, many blessings to you for the perfect swap. Hugs & 1000 Hearts to you. Mona
Response: Woo-hoo! It makes ME so happy that those celtic stamps are going to be loved & used now: they were complaining to me that I never paid any attention to them! =laugh= Bright blessings to you, Mona....
Comment: It'd be really cute without the snout...snout makes it look kind of evil in a Cheshire cat kind of way. Correspondence? Sometime I ramble, sometimes I chat and sometimes I have nothing to say, but if you write me I promise to respond (it just might take awhile if I'm having one of those days...weeks...y'know?)
Response: Well, it might take me a while to write you, so we'll just see how it goes. Is it OK if I "friend" you? I like your style--you're right about the snout. =laugh= Thanks for the heart!
Comment: Hi! I love your card with the pinfish and the coloring is fabulous! It almost looks like you drew it all by hand, very talented! :-) Take care, GT
Response: Gee...thank-you...I really appreciate those kind words, especially coming from *you*! The way you can tell it's a rubber stamp (from a gyotaku fish print), incidentally, is that you can see the fish's *scales*: I didn't draw those!
Comment: I recieved you wonderful postcard and it was like a deja vu: "I have seen this card before" Just two days ago I visited the HPC Group and admired your member of the month card. And now it is mine. Whoohooo!!!!! This is really great. I loved to read about, how you made it and what items you used. Thank you
Response: I'm so glad you like it! Yes, the original of that card belongs to you. =grin= Thanks for the heart!
Response: Oh, Barb, I'm embarrassed. When I wrote that PC, I'd forgotten that *you're* the Barb with the fabulous Milwaukee art museum--and how we'd taked a bit, about Georgia O'Keefe and such. Hang my head in shame... But NOW I remember! Anyway, nice to touch base with you again, and thanks for the rating.
Comment: Fiona you obviously ROCK! we should do a fun private swap sometime! Thanks for writing a real letter on the PC - that makes the postcard extra super wonderful!
Response: All righty! It's kinda fun to see how muh of a letter I can squeeze into that tiny postcard space. I think a private swap might be fun sometime, too. I'll go ahead and ask you to become a "friend," so we won't lose track of each other. Peace....
Comment: Thanks so much for the fabulous card! Kid A is my favorite Radiohead album, so you can bet this card is going up on the wall :) OH! And thanks so much for the otter postage! I've never seen those before and was thrilled when I noticed :)
Response: I'm so glad you liked it! I've never done that thing of mounting the quote on decorative paper. I'm glad it worked out. That song is *so* wonderful!
Comment: Thank you so much for the tres super cool art PC! Also thank you for taking the time to check out Kal Barteski! I love her! Her work really speaks to me and I almost squeeled when I saw her her owl on the back of the PC! I had the pleasure of taking a class with her a few years back and she is amazing in person as she is in her art. Enjoy and Thanks again!
Response: Wow, Cathy, I'm envious of your having taken a class with her! Her art is so vivid, so dynamic. And I'm glad you liked the LIchtenstein: it was a bit of a gamble. =smile= Thanks for the heart!
Comment: Wonderful nest-shaped postcard! Love all the tiny birds and the bird labels on the back. I would call you "detail oriented" not obsessive! Thanks! ( fountain pen obsessive thank-you postcard back to you, soon )
Response: What was *most* "detail-oriented" =grin= about that card, was getting all the birds in scale with respect to each other. When I decided to make the hawk the size it is, I didn't anticipate how *tiny* (as you say) many of the others would be in comparison! It was an education. I also thought you'd be curious to know what birds we have out here on the Right Coast. =smile=
Comment: Awesome pc......makes want to try a handmade one myself. Thanks.
Response: You should start making collage postcards, Dawn! They're fun, and easy. Any images you don't have, that you need for the picture, you can always google & download. =smile= Thanks for the heart!
Comment: Got your package yesterday and both of the books you sent looked very intriguing. I brought the book of short stories to work today and read the first story, luaghed my butt off all through my lunch hour. I can tell I'm really going to enjoy it! Thanks so much! You made some great picks for me!
Response: Great! I hoped those would be the 2 for you. =grin= Thanks for the heart & the star.
Comment: Beautifully made postcard. And, thank you for the fantastic story of your time in India. Yay! (This arrived on 4/16/10 1 full month after it was postmarked. So amazing that it took so long to go across the US.) The 2nd replacement one arrived today, 4/23/10. It only took 3 days this time. Go figure!
Response: That is SO strange, Nikki, that it took a month! Thanks for the heart! I've already made a copy of it, written on it, & stamped it, so it's goin' in the mail to you anyway. =laugh=
Comment: Yes, yes, yes, I found it!! What a great postcard, of one of my favorite composers. I also loved what you wrote, especially about Euridice. I love Greek mythology, and enjoyed your insights. Thank you! :-))
Comment: Yay, a pop-tarts box! You're the first person to send me one. :D And I've never tried this vegan chocolate; thanks so much! The journal itself looks great too; I love the cover and I can't wait to read it. Thanks again!
Response: Thanks for the heart! I look forward to your reading the journal, too........ (uh......what else can I add to what's already in the journal?) =grin=
Comment: Wonderful collage postcard! Love the cactus. Of course you know the hawk is the messenger of the sun, and represents heaven, and the snake is the bringer of misfortune, and represents the earth. I've been reading too many symbology books!
Comment: This was such a delightful postcard! I love the Goosefish you drew (such talent) and enjoyed reading what you had to say. :-) As for the quote, oddly enough I don't drink spring water or anything like that for the same reasons. Thank you for a lovely swap. It made my day.
Response: I'm so glad you liked that funny fish...that's pretty funny you agree with W.C. Fields. :-) Thanks for the heart!
Comment: Thank you, loved the snails and how used them to divide the card diagonally. Is the background on the green side rubber stamped ? And I agree, mail art is rewarding, especially the making part. Thanks again.
Response: You're welcome! Yes, the background is rubber-stamped, too: I had to mask the 4 squares to do that, in addition to masking for the fish & the octopus...
Comment: Hi Fiona,
I totally love my fish! It's the nicest postcard I've ever gotten. He's so expressive and cool, truly I luuurrrve him. :o)
I'm adding you as a friend and YES I want to write back and forth. This will be such fun, talking to another artist.
Response: Great! I look forward to corresponding with you, Jenn!
Comment: I absolutely adore the patchwork quilt PC you made! It so appeals to my love of 'paper stuck to paper'. :D I'm going to make one too at the next available opportunity. (Remember: imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.) ;) Thanks so much ! It's sooo pretty!!
Response: Great! It was fun to make, too. Thanks for the heart!
Comment: The chocolate's far from boring- I've only tried one so far, but it was great. Very high quality. The postcards are great too, and I love the recycled mailer! Thank you for doing a private swap with me!
Response: You're welcome, Alison! It was fun. Thanks for the heart & the star. =grin=
Comment: What a BEAUTIFUL postcard! Thanks for putting so much thought into choosing a postcard I'd like-- I think I'd also have to be reading something in order to sit still that long! hehe Thanks so much and happy swapping!
Comment: I appreciate you taking the time to read my profile and sending me a card that is perfect for me. I think many Swap-bot members purchased from Pomegranate! That is the 5th one of that card that I have received! HA!
Response: Thanks for the heart! I hope it's a *good* thing that you've gotten so many of that one PC! =laugh=
Comment: Thank you for the postcard and quote and the surprise godzilla on the back. :) I grinned like a child! I'd definitely be willing to do private PC swaps with you in the future, once things settle down a bit. I'll send you a "relationship" request, that way I won't forget about you!
Response: You're welcome! I look forward to hearing from you later on... (i'm pretty swamped myself.) And thanks the heart!
Comment: This swap was the cat's pajamas!!! To be honest, I wasn't expecting a postcard to have such a big impact! But it's really one of the greatest things I've gotten on swap-bot so far!!! Everything was thought out so well! From the stamp (I've been getting a lot of snow too!) and the quote (Oh my god, I can't explain how much I loved it!!! It was absolutely perfect) and the postcard! (it's strangely beautiful. And I've only been to the MoMa once, with my high school, so I didn't get to see much, I need to go back!)
And as for House of 1000 Corpses... I've seen it, and I like it. But it's not my favorite. They're both really different movies, I guess. :D
But thank you again!!! :D
Response: Cool! I fell in love with that quote in college: almost 4 decades later, it's still one of my top 10. As for the image on the postcard, if it were tightened up just a bit, it'd make a good tattoo, wouldn't it? I love MoMA--here's hopin' you get back there soon!
Comment: Fiona, I can't thank you enough for my gift(s)!! Not only were they all beautifully wrapped, but were all so unique and fun. I can't wait to get started on those books. :) Being an European born artist I'm especially intrigued by the Parisian Cafe one. I also very much appreciate the letter. There is such great symbolism in dates. And what irony (again) that I (the internet addict) was born in the year that you got your internet beginnings. haha.
I hope you have an amazing and fun 55th. You most definitely made mine!
Response: I'm so glad you enjoyed your package, Ami: I had fun putting it together!
Comment: thank you for the pretty art postcard. it's very interesting and will make a great addition to my collection. :)
Response: Thanks for the heart, Jennifer! Any time you want to send me a cool postcard, I'll be happy to send you one back... I like postcards because I can cut them up and use them in collages. =smile=
