Response: Crazy small, this world! My first home in Chester was on Freemont Road! Swap-botters never cease to fill me with wonder. Have a fantastic holiday season!!
Comment: OH MY GOSH! You are so AMAZING! I'd give you 10 hearts if i could. :) Thank you soo much for all of the swap goodness. I even showed it off to my room mate who had no idea what i was talking about but understood my excitement. :) Thank you!
Response: Maybe she'll start swapping now! Never made a face on a bead before that day - I think he looked a little demented, but definitely happy! Keep swapping <3
Comment: Where do I begin with this wonderful package... Wow! The fabrics are beautiful and I have thought of many uses for them. The thread is so cool - one of those things that is so cool that I am not sure if I can use it (might just leave it out for others to look at). The buttons are super cool. Thank you so much.
Response: I am so glad the package pleased you! You weren't the easiest to pick a profile surprise for, but I figured how can you go wrong with fabric??!!
Comment: Thank you for a lovely swap and unique items, I can't wait to try the salt water taffy, I always hear about them on movies but never tried. Thanks again !!
Response: I am so glad you enjoyed my choices - it was hard to pick just a few. With our global economy, it is so hard to figure out what's not available elsewhere! I knew sand dollars only come from the Pacific Coast, but after that...?
Comment: What a great card, Elisabethe--thank you! I saw Mt St. Helens from the air about 2 weeks after the 1980 eruption when my Mom, and brother and I were enroute from Denver to Vancouver, BC. It's something I'll never forget.
Response: The recovery of the area has been nothing shy of amazing. Nature is rather mighty.
Comment: Thanks for all the Washington stuff! My uncle lives in Redmond but all I ever hear about is SALMON and PUGET SOUND and RAIN. Uggh! It's great to know that there's CHOCOLATE COVERED BLUEBERRIES! Yay!
Response: And choco-covered strawberries, cherries... It's a wonderful place! Glad you're are enjoying the goodies.
Comment: Thank you for the teas and the lovely letter! I have friends in the SCA, and like you, they're always doing such interesting things. It's so neat that your whole family is into it! I thought it was especially neat that your sons cook historical food and do archery. I would've loved that as a kid. :)
Response: I'm glad you liked my letter. Some people think we are a bit 'odd', but that's okay. We're having fun. Well, today, it's off to a feast!
Comment: Thank you so much for the wonderful cocoa and bookmark! I can't wait to try these awesome flavors... and Eeyore is ALWAYS a big hit with me! The package was wrapped so nicely, too; the bright colors were so cheery on this rainy day! You are an inspiration! ;)
Response: So glad it could bring a smile to your face. I remember winters in Mississippi - not cold & snowy, but definitely dreary. Enjoy a cup of warmth!
Comment: Thank you sooo much for the awesome needlebook. I absolutely adore it. I appreciate that you put so much time into it, and also that you took time to read my profile and incorporate a Mary Engelbreit theme to it. Hope we swap again in the future!!!!
Response: It was my pleasure. I saw the cheery cherry fabric in my stash & it went from there!
Comment: the cupcake hand towel was absolutely hands down the most awesome gift i've gotten in a while. AND you found cupcake paper?! amazing!!! i also really loved all the cards you made and will be using them this year to send holiday greetings to people. you're very thoughtful and creative. thank you so much for everything! have a great holiday season. :)
Response: You are so welcome! I really enjoyed putting together your swap. Happy Christmas!
Comment: Thank you for telling me about yourself, if we get partnered again in a similar swap i would love to know more about your historical enactments, sounds like fun. Thank you for the gorgeous embroidered cupcake tea towel, its far too nice to use, i'll have to have it on display somewhere. Thanks again x
Response: As I told Denise, the towel is meant to be used!! Look up www.sca.org & you'll see more about the group. Lots of family fun.
Comment: I loved your letter and learning more about you and your family =)
I absolutely adore the pug tea towel you made for me! Don't worry about the laundry details because I will NEVER be using it! It is going directly in a frame and on my wall.
If you can't tell I LOVE IT! Thanks so much, happy holidays to you and your family!!
Response: Use the towel!!! I made it to be used :) I am so glad you liked it.
Comment: Hello Elisabethe! I got your package today (the one marked Sept)! Thanks so much for your patience in resending but overall THANKS for the great snacks selection =) You are a great swapper!
Response: I am SO glad a package finally got through to you! Thank you for *your* patience. Whew! I was getting worried. Hope you like all the goodies; my children helped select them. Perhaps the other box will show around Christmas :)
Comment: Thanks for the postcard of the bridge. I didn't have one like that yet so it will be a welcome addition to my collection. I haven't even been down there since the new bridge was built. We used to go to Tacoma and Gig Harbor all the time but now haven't been for a couple of years.
Response: You should definitely come down! Tacoma seems to have grown so much and really evolved in the 11 years I have lived here.
Comment: Hi, Liz! Thanks a lot for sending this volcano before and after postcard! It is my second about forces of nature just in this swap and this is so great!
Why are you worry about Mt. Rainier?
Response: I am so you liked the card. I don't worry much about Rainier. If it blows, it blows. Can't stop it!! In the meantime, I enjoy the beautiful view.
Comment: OMG, this was one of those packages that just makes you glad to be part of swap-bot. I love the tin so much, it is the first one I have ever received and it is very special, I will treasure it. The Buddha charms and incense are wonderful too. And as if that wasn't enough you also sent me tea! Thank you for being an amazing swap partner. One heart just doesn't seem enough.
Response: Thanks so much for liking it as much as I did. I was stuck for a few days as to what to create, but I read your profile for inspiration and it WORKED! I was a little nervous that you may not like it. Thank you for the heart.
Comment: WOW!! I ADORE my moose bag...I don't have one in that style OR print! And I can't wait to try out the cookbook. You are incredible! ;o)
Response: Thanks for the heart. I am so glad you like it & don't have that fabric yet. It said "YOU" when i saw it. That dutch oven book is a life saver. Practice some recipes in your home oven before doing them with fire. You'll have fun.
Comment: thank you so much!!! love the fabric and all the extras you sent! thank you. hugs. cats rules!
Response: I am really impressed with how quickly you got that! A week to Portugal. My boys went to the fabric store with me and made the final decision on which pattern and button. I think they did a good job. (They are 9 and 17 and the only reason the went to the fabric store was the electronics store was next!)
Thank you for the heart. I really enjoyed putting together the package for you.
Comment: Thanks for the penny! When I was in Seattle - before I started collecting squished pennies - I wanted to on the underground tour. Unfortunately, I ran out of time. So, this penny is really special!
Response: I am so glad this has a special place for you. I lived here for **TEN** years before I finally did the tour. It was really interesting.
Comment: I reeceived the purse that you made me today!!! I love everything about it! You picked some wonderful fabric and it was made wonderfully!!
Thank you so much for the purse and the great Halloween frame you sent too!
Response: HOLY COW! That got to you really quickly - I only mailed it two days ago. I am so glad you enjoyed it. I saw the Halloween-y goods & declared it **YOU!** Thank you for the heart.
Comment: I just love the cozies! Thank you so much for sending two, it was a lovely surprise.
Response: After seeing the types of fabric & colours you like, I couldn't pick just one. Perhaps you could pick your fave & share the other with a friend? That would definitely spread the love :) Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Wow! What an amazing package! Thank you. It smells almost as good as it looks, lol. The paper is so pretty (I unwrapped to re-use on card making), and the roving is perfect.
Thanks again, this really was a WOW package
Response: YAY!! I am so happy you liked it . The roving was super fun to dye - unsweetened Kool-Aid is tops! Thanks for the heart <3
Comment: Wow! i don't know what to say ,I am totally thrilled with my beautiful doll ,I love her ,she is so cleverly made with so much detail ,she made my 16 yr old son blush lol which was worth a heart in itself :)) and to make her extra special she arrived on my Birthday.Thank you so very much I will treasure her, shes very special :)
Response: I am SO happy you like her. Daphne is not a modest faerie. (my 17 yo son blushed a bit, too)
She got to you quickly! Happy Birthday!
Comment: Thank you! You first matchbox was precious, you did such a wonderful job on it! And I am in love with all the wonderful pink goodies that you have sent! Many hearts and hugs! Thank you so much again!
Response: I am glad you liked it. I was a bit nervous, it being my first matchbox and all.
Comment: Wow..you are FAST!! I love the glittery bottle caps! They are soooo shiny! I have not gotten up the nerve to use epoxy or resin yet. But I think I need to! Thank you for all 5 of the beautiful magnets. We have unseasonably warm weather, so the kisses melted. But I think I can salvage them with the freezer!!
Response: The epoxy resin really is easy to use. Disposable paper cups & popsicle sticks are your best friend! (And newspaper for the work area :) )
I am so glad you like the caps - they are my first bottle cap magnets.
Comment: Thanks a lot for your wonderful postcard. you surprised me and put sun in my day today. thanks a lot. hoping to read you soon and perhaps if you fancy the idea of discovering more about me and my country, id be delighted to swap again with you. tenderly. maite
Response: You're welcome! The postcard you sent me a while back has a place of honour in my book.
Comment: WOW! what a fabulous package! my family will have a amazing breakfast this valentine's morning all because of you!!! I totally lucked out you having me for this swap! Thanks!!!
Response: I am so glad you enjoyed it. I couldn't decide on which 'typical' breakfast to send, so I covered a couple! (It also helped you were domestic & I could use a flat-rate box. Stuffed it to the gills!!)
Comment: I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY KITCHEN TOWELS!!! I could not stop smiling. My sister couldn't understand my thrill over the towels. I explained & she totally understood. She said "They are so you." And they are! Thank you so much Elisabethe!!! Have a fabulous weekend!
Response: After reading your profile, then seeing those towels, it was a done deal in my book! I am so glad you like them. You have a great beachy weekend!
Comment: I received my chocolate bars today!!! YAY!! Much needed on a slow, dreary Monday. Thanks so much! And that Hello Kitty card is ad-or-able!
Response: I am so glad I could brighten your day! I recevied the bonus bar from the swap host, so I know the feeling!! I had spent all day on a field trip with three 4th grade classes....
And everyone needs a velentine!
Comment: gnarly postcard, i love it. my husband and i were actually discussing sasquatch in the car when we ran to post office and found your card in our box. no joke. i may pm you some questions about washington state in the near future ... REALLY thinking about relocating once we're out of the af and the arctic wasteland that is nd. my parents used to live in tacoma, but they're ancient (haha) and can't quite remember much about it other than the 'mild weather, and seattle was quite nice.'
Response: I'd be happy to tell you all I can about this area. I am a transplant myself & decided to stay!! There's McChord AFB right here, as well as Fort Lewis, Bremerton Navy Base, Bangor Sub Base... It military-base heavy. Perhaps you could get Uncle Sam to move you!!!
Comment: Oh my goodness! I couldn't believe all the goodies you sent! I opened the envelope as I sat in my car getting gas and I was nibbling at the chocolate bar before I left the pump. Everything is wonderful, but the journal is absolutely awesome! Thanks so, so much.
Response: I glad I could make your day a little brighter. I saw the journal a while back, adding to my stash with no other thought than its prettiness. I had faith it would find the right home, glad it was with you!
Comment: thank you so much for the beautiful tea cup! you couldn't have found anything more perfect! i just love it! and all the goodies! i already know that i'm going to enjoy the chocolate and tea! thank you so much for your generosity! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
Response: I am so happy I could bring you joy today. I've been concerned my packages would be delayed because of the flooding. YAY - they weren't :)
Comment: It wouldn't let me give you a heart too :( I would give you five million if I could. This is by far the best best swap ever! You are so freakin awesome, i love the history the pictures and all the little extras! Seriously, your like my new best friend. your sons school is amazing, wish mine looked like that. I will swap with you any time!!!
Response: You are so welcome. I really had fun putting it together for a fellow coffee lover.
Comment: Thanks for the great postcard! I also received a Christmas postcard from you though it didn't say it was for a certain swap so I figured it was an extra holiday wish for this one? Thanks all the same, let me know if I need to rate you for something else :D
Response: Just in the holiday spirit sending out happy greetings!
Comment: Fab cards! Thank you! Did you realize that you sent me two?? One the (you're right; it's the only word for it) cheesy and wonderful Washington state card and also the darling martini-ing polar bear
Response: Yeah, I couldn't help it - both cards were fun and happy.
Comment: haha. great card! and i do have a twisted sense of humor (my xmas cards have a mischievious child poking a carrot nose into a snowman's posterior...) thanks and happy merry hanukkah/kwanzaa/christmas/holiday/seasons greetings.
Response: With a name like dishevelled, how could I miss? "Normalcy" is **way** over-rated. Tried it once, this is much better!
Comment: I LOVED this kit. It came when I was out of town and I was so excited when I got home and got it. I lost it very quickly to my son who decided that because it had scouts on it - he should have it!
I really love it and have gotten his permission to carry it in my purse. Thank you so much!
Comment: Thanks for a wonderful package! Lots of candy I have never seen before! I will give the Bob the builder/Scoop PEZ to my son on Saturday with his candy treat (it's also his birthday)...it will be perfect as he loves them!
Response: YAY! I am so glad it finally got to you. Enjoy a quiet moment with chocolate.
Comment: Wow, this was so speedy! And very impressive work for a first ATC. And I appreciate the needlefelted extra card, and the needle.
Funny story: as I was looking at your ginger cookie card, i said "I thought we were supposedt o include a recipe, maybe it's in the envelope" when my 8 year old said "I think it opens up." Duh on me! You matched the papers so well I couldn't tell at first. Now we're going to have to try this yummy-sounding recipe.
Response: Thanks for the heart, I surely poured mine into it. I had so much fun creating the cookie cards, I'll have to try more ATCs. I have done more dimensional felting than flat, so that card was an experiment. The cookie recipe is yummy. You can up the ante on the ginger by adding a little freshly grated ginger (1/2 tsp) or finely chopped candied ginger. Very zippy!
Comment: Thanks for the great card of Mt. St. Helens. I was actually living in Algona (right next to Auburn) when it erupted. I was pretty young, but I still remember standing in the yard and watching the ash plume.
Response: That must have been mesmerizing and terrifying all at once. Maybe we'll be around when Rainier blows...
I know where Algona is - I adopted my dog from a family there.
Comment: I love, love, love my beautiful teacup and cookie plate. It is so my taste. I adore the cup itself, it fits my hand perfectly, and the style is unusual and special. Plus the plate to go with it - heaven... And all of the goodies... Christmas came early when I opened your parcel. Many hearts and hugs to you... Thank you and best wishes... r/-b
Response: YAY!! When I saw your profile, I was certain it would be perfect for you. So glad I could brighten your day.
