Comment: I so enjoyed receiving your post today at the mailbox Annalise! What a great surprise too! Thank you for the lovely Christmas card and the great letter I felt so thrilled to be a par ot your life that you were willing to share. Letters are so beautiful in that way that they can transport the reader to being with someone if they are well written! I’m so happy to you found a neat gift for your friend! Ah so beautiful! Thank you for the tea selections you sent on to me. Great choices! Ive never had rose lemonade and it sounds terribly delicious so I’ll be trying that soon. I’m not drinking anything now as it s close to bed time for me. Thank you just for being so kind to think of me and sending me the lovely Christmas card! Happy holidays to you! Bye for now!
Response: What a lovely message!! I'm so glad you enjoyed my letter! Happy holidays to you too :)
Comment: Thank you for sharing your weekend with me. I have been to Brighton many years ago. I am not a vegan but I do eat lots of tofu so was very interested in your recipes that you made eg. cauliflower, cashew and tofu curry. Enjoy your trip to Bath.
Comment: Hi Annalia, Thank you so much for the "ice-cream makes you happy" postcard. Indeed it made me happy! I absolutely adore the headdress stamp as well, but unfortunately there was no cancellation mark, but pen scribbles. :( I would really love to be your penpal, we have much in common. Just in case I get your address wrong, pretty please DM me your address. Awaiting your address eagerly :))))
Comment: Thanks for the fantastic card! I had zero issues when I became a vegetarian, but vegan was really difficult. Cheese was one of my best friends. It's been a while now, and I don't miss it much anymore.
Response: Cheese is definitely the most difficult to give up! I think if I find a good substitute for cheesy pizza and quesadillas I'll be able to let go of it hahah. Thank you for your rating and heart!
Comment: Thank you for sharing! I know you didn't really like the ending, but from what you've told me, it has certainly piqued my curiosity! I'll have to add it to my TBR list. Thank you!
Response: Now that it's been a bit of time since I've finished the book, I would recommend it, if only for the writing style and the thoughts it provokes - it's certainly very interesting if a little (a lot) disturbing! Thank you for your rating and heart!
Comment: Such a delightful little package! I was so excited to see the wrapping paper on my doorstep (I cut out some of the balloons for my smashbook), and was giddy at the sight of my chocolate! I haven't had a real kinder surprise egg in over two years. Lucky me! And the other bars look super fun, too. Can 't wait to try them. Thank you!
Response: I'm so glad you liked everything! I thought the wrapping paper was just too pretty to not share :) I hope you enjoy all your chocolate and that you find fun surprises in the eggs!! Thank you for your rating and heart :)
Comment: Hello Annie! Guess what I've got? :D ..Yay! Your photos are great, loved the colourful camera, btw. :) The card was indeed bent, but that's not the point, I know how strict some postal workers can be. The important thing is I got the camera safe and sound and full of photos! ;) Thank you again for your cool tour of Brighton!
Response: I'm glad it arrived to you safely and that you enjoyed the photos! I definitely enjoyed taking part in this swap :) Thank you for your rating and heart!
Comment: Annie! Thank you SO MUCH for this wonderful package! I really love everything! Beautiful cookbook, awesome puzzle book, great postcards and tickets, adorable photo and story about Rex! I really love the "Keep Calm and Drink Tea" badge!!! And the Moomin tea-- LOVE IT! (By the way, my husband's grandmother was from Genova!) Thank you for such a wonderful swap!!! :)
Response: I'm really glad you liked it all!! I had so much fun putting it together :) Really? That's so great - I don't often hear about people from Genova migrating outside of Italy! Thank you for your rating and heart :)
Comment: I love the Harlequin romance postcard you sent me! Perfume is a great novel -- I read it ages ago and it's one of those books I still think about. Great first line, too : )
Response: Yes, it does sound like a very unusual book (I haven't actually started reading it yet, but it's waiting for me to pick it up!) I'm glad you liked the postcard :) Thank you for your rating and heart!
Comment: Thank you so much for the GREAT letter! I absolutely LOVED reading it! It was fun to read your answers to the prompts. :) Would you like me to write back? I hope you are having a wonderful New Year and Happy Swapping!

Comment: Thank you for the coolest package of lists Annie! You did each one different and I enjoyed reading them and getting to know you better! If I could, I would give you a heart for every list! 10 hearts for you!
Response: I'm happy you liked it! Thank you so much for your kind comment, rating and heart :)
Comment: This book actually sounds really interesting to me! The page you sent probably doesn't do it justice as you said, but when you wrote a bit of what is contained in the book...awesome! I'm glad to have learned of it. Thank you as well for the recommendation for my disturbing books list :)
Response: I'm so glad you find it interesting! I'm actually halfway through the second book in the series right now and it just keeps getting better! Thank you for your rating :)
Comment: I loved your London Skyline tape you used to seal the envelope... so cool! And I greatly enjoyed reading through your reading list... I think I will write you back, actually! :)
Response: I used the London Skyline tape at the last minute.. I was thinking, what can I use to make this letter prettier? :P I'm glad you liked it, I'm looking forward to your response! Thank you for your rating and heart.
Comment: Fun swap!!! Have a wonderful day!!!
Response: Thank you for your kind message and email! I hope you enjoy your beach vacation - and if you ever get the chance to windsurf, I highly recommend it! It feels amazing, almost like flying sometimes :) Thank you for the rating and heart!
Comment: Thank you for the cute postcard of the kitten in the mailbox.. I love the movie, "The Devil Wears Prada". One of my faves. Have not read the book--yet. Must put it on my "to read list".
Response: You're very welcome! I love the movie too... I haven't actually read the book yet, it's sitting on my bookshelf waiting for me to have time to pick it up :P thank you for the rating and heart!
Comment: Thank you for the letter and the recipe! Congrats on getting into law school! It's always lovely to hear when someone has a good day. (And thank you for the recs - hilariously, they're all recommendations a friend of mine has made. I think you'd get along really well. She LOVED "Nerimon reads Twilight." Which is hysterical, and only eclipsed by him reviewing 50 shades.) Thank you!
Response: You're very welcome! And thank you for the rating and heart :)
Comment: I am in love with the postcard you chose to send to me for this swap! I agree, we do have quite a bit in common, lol. No, I haven't seen the recent streetdance movie yet :( Did you know Channing Tatum actually ended up marrying the main girl in the first step up movie? I think they make a good pair. I believe they have a daughter together too. I'll definitely have to check out the book "Marshmallows for Breakfast". The title itself has me interested already, lol. If you'd still like a penpal, I'd love to write back to you via a letter or even a postcard (whichever is easier for you), just let me know. Thank you so much again! Hearts, Hearts, Hearts for such a great postcard and letter on the back.
Response: I am so glad that you liked it! Yes, I'd heard about Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan, I think they're a good couple too :) I'd love to be penpals with you! I don't mind, either letter or postcard, you choose :) Thank you for the rating and heart!!
Comment: Hi Annie, thank you for the very cute card and nice, friendly message. I hadn't heard of the song you mentioned so I looked it up. It certainly has that fun sound that you mentioned. Take care Annie and enjoy swapping. Cheers, Barbara
Response: You're very welcome, I'm glad you liked it :) Thank you for the rating and heart!
Comment: Thank you so much! I'm definitely looking forward to checking out some of these songs and blasting them in the car lol. Oh, and super bonus points - Starlight (Muse) is my absolute favorite song!!! :)
Response: You're very welcome! I hope you find some new songs you like! Ah, I love Starlight too :P Thank you for the rating and heart!!
Comment: Annie, such cool pics! Makes me want to visit overseas even more (sigh)! Isn't it interesting too...the things and places we don't really think about/appreciate in our daily lives until we're asked to "show" them to others?! =) Thanx again!
Response: I'm so glad that you liked them - I haven't used a disposable camera in a long while so I was afraid that they wouldn't come out well! And yes, I agree, I had a lot of fun with this swap :) Thank you for the rating and heart!!
Comment: I love your list of books! Quite a number of them are either favorites of mine, or ones I'd like to read. Others are intriguing! I need to read "The Lays of Beleriand" by Tolkien, definitely. I didn't know that Edith Pattou came out with a book called "North Child." I have one by her called "East." You would probably like the works of Neil Gaiman, too. My favorites are "The Graveyard Book" and "Stardust." Thanks for sending such a great list!
Response: You're very welcome, I'm glad you like it! I'll definitely check out Neil Gaiman! "North Child" is the UK title for "East" :) Thank you for the rating and heart!
Comment: hi Annie and many thanks for the books-recommendation. The Kite Runner, Jane Eyre, The Bookthief, When Hitler stole pink Rabbit are among my faves, too. It's good that you put so many books in blue, which are for young readers. They might be interesting for my daughter who is 14 and loves reading.
Response: You're very welcome! I hope that both you and your daughter enjoy the recommendations :) Thank you for the rating and heart!
Comment: Thank you VERY much for the great cards you've sent me. I especially loooove the Black Swan postcards <3 I'm very happy :) And also thousand x thanks for the animal right stickers!! I'll check out that website, too! Really, you made my day ;) I wish I could give you more hearts :)
Response: I'm so happy you liked the postcards and stickers!! I find them a fun way to spread the message for animal rights :) Thank you for the rating and heart!
Comment: What a pretty place to live out there. Would be so nice to wake up every morning and look out at the water. It is nice that you got to take your dog for a walk, I am sure he loved it. I know our 2 dogs love to go for walks especialy in the woods. Sounds like you had a real nice day. Take care and i hope that we can stay in touch and maybe be penpals. craftybarbie
Response: Thank you very much for your lovely message! Thanks also for the rating and heart :)
Comment: Thanks for the summery notebook, it tickles me that it's come from so far away. I spent three weeks in Great Britain a few years ago, with two and a half days in Wales. I was there in August, and it didn't rain once, it was sunny and beautiful the whole time. I really loved it, so full of history! Thanks again!
Response: You're very welcome, I'm happy you liked it! You were lucky to catch Wales without rain!! Thank you for the rating and heart :)
Comment: Thanks for your cute dawgie drawing. I took it to be a Dachshund, yet when I showed my husband, he exclaimed "Kenji!" (our dog's name). Our dog is a cross terrier. I'm a bit worried about my husband now.
Response: Yes it was a dachshund! Haha perhaps it's because my artistic talents aren't that great :P I'm glad you liked it!! Thank you for the rating and heart :)
Comment: TWO ATCs! Unexpected but most welcome. What lovely choices of Sam & Legolas. I especially love the green accents--very fitting for Legolas :-) Thank you so much!
Response: I had so much fun making the Sam ATC that I couldn't resist making another one! Plus it gave me an excuse to look through numerous pictures of Legolas to find the perfect one haha! You're very welcome - thank you for the rating and heart :)
Comment: I really enjoyed all the pretty scenery. That tree was creepy and it does look like a human in a way. My husband named your dream method of transportation car without peeking at your letter. I hope to see more of your pictures.
Response: I'm happy you liked it! I love finding things that look like people or animals :) thank you for the rating and heart!
Comment: Amazing!! I really love the pictures. Your cemeteries there are full of color and interesting things....the ones here in AZ - not so much. Thank you also for the PCs you sent along, that was very nice and certainly appreciated-- I love PCs. Happy trading!
Response: I'm so glad you liked the photos! You're very welcome for the PCs :) Thank you for the rating and heart!!
Comment: Your letter was fantastic! I really thought it was clever! The stationary was beautiful and fun to read! Thank you!
Response: I'm so glad you liked it! I loved the whole process of this swap. I bathed the sheets of paper in strong black tea to get them to look and feel more antique. Thank you for your rating and heart! :)
Comment: Gorgeous card, thank you. Hope you get to come to Calif. someday. I would love to be transported to most any country in South America. My dream has long been to visit every country in South America.
Response: I hope so too! And that's wonderful - I hope your dream comes true!! Thank you for the rating and heart(:
Comment: Hello Annie! Thanks for a lovely postcard (beautiful picture and the stamp). What's more, I appreciate you have actually asked your family about my country rather than just checking it somewhere on the Internet. The fascinating thing is that you've got all that pretty much right. In fact, Lithuania was the last country in Europe to give up Paganism (that's why we were fighting with Teutonic Knights - our nation was trying to save what had been sacred for us, what meant the world to our beliefs). And as far as the more recent times are concerned, Lithuanians are always worrying that world sees us (if sees at all) only as a part of Russia (which is not true, yet still having belonged to the Soviet Union for a pretty long period of time might be misleading in many people's cases), but now I can see that at least Europeans realize the difference between Now and Then. :) Thanks again and take care!
Response: You're very welcome! It was a lot of fun asking everyone - it was like going clue-hunting! Plus, I found it all very interesting. Thank you for the rating and heart(:
Comment: I totally love learning new things and quotes in other languages definitely count! The photo on the postcard is lovely. Where is it? The closest I found via Google was Port Eynon in Wales.
Response: That's great!(: Unfortunately I can't remember exactly which beach PC I sent you, but it's definitely a beach in the Gower of Swansea, Wales U.K., and Port Eynon is one of them! Thanks for the rating and heart(:
Comment: Hapy New Year! Thanks for the lovely postcard. I was hoping that you managed to achieve all of your goals??
Is your dog happy being walked every other day? I read on your profile he is a German Shepard puppy - his pic is soooo cute. When he grows big he will be taking you for a walk :)
Response: My dog is very happy with my new goal - he has boundless energy! And he's 35kgs, so he's already taking me for a walk! Thank you for the rating and heart(:
Comment: Thank you for all the cards, christmas and thnak you! I always 'try' to send thank you cards so i will deffinatly use them!=) and also thanks for the stickers! All around, just an excellent send!=) Thank you!!
Response: I'm happy you liked it!! it was a lot of fun to pick out all the cards(: thank you for the rating and heart!
Comment: Just listened to your list twice (although its lovely and sunny here today.). The video for "Hazy Shade of Winter" was filmed at the University I attended! (I still live nearby - I loved the town so much that even though I graduated 13 years ago, I never left!)
Response: Thanks for your rating and heart! And that's great - I love that song!
Comment: We have so much in common (even though I'm only a vegetarian) including the exact same spiders/snakes answer! But, of course, lots of differences as well. I love these types of swaps. Thanks for sharing your choices and being so fast with them--that earns you a heart, certainly.
Response: That's awesome :D Thank you for your rating and heart!
Comment: Thank you so much for the nice package! I love THE Hello Kitty pen ^^ and also THE heart arrived Well and smells nice :-) You did very well for your first swap, most people don't even say hi in their cards :-S And the movie Hanna was fantastic! Thank you and I wish you the best for 2012!
Response: Thank you for your rating and heart!! I'm so glad you liked your package(: best wishes for 2012 to you too!
Comment: I love that there's a tradition of building Nativity scenes in Italy! I wish we did that here in the US. A Doctor Who Christmas special? I'll have to tell my friend about that. She loves Doctor Who!
Response: I tried finding some pictures of handmade Nativity scenes for you, but they're hiding in the deepest corners of the internet! If you ever go to Italy during Christmas it's something that you should check out though :P
Anyway, thanks for the rating! Best wishes for 2012 (:
