Comment: Thank you for the tea. I'm working on a granny stripe blanket at the moment. And also working on 2 amigurumi projects. It took me a while to get into amigurumi. But once yoy get it, it's fun to do.
Comment: Thank you so much for the lovely PC of the cathedral in Worms. I didn't know it was the sunniest and driest - love German wine! I have visited relatives in Kaiserslautern area, the weather reminded me of Wisconsin, where I live! I can't get over the history in Europe! We just saw the oldest statehouse still in use in the US - built in 1772-1779... I took a pic of it! hahaha! Thanks again!!!!
Response: Thanks a lot for the heart! Kaiserslautern is only about half an hour away from where I live :) Were your relatives stationed there with the Army? K-Town always felt a bit American to me, I think it's even the biggest American military community outside the US. Hope you enjoyed your visit there!
Comment: Thanks for the weather card! I have not been to Worms; I did not even know it was one of the oldest cities in Germany - 1181 - wow! America hadn't even been discovered yet! You are having nice weather just like us; I have often said that Germany reminds me of Wisconsin (and vice-versa)! I haven't heard the saying "old women' summer" hahaha! Happy swapping!! Thanks for the card!!
Comment: Super cute postcard! I used to make fancy cake pops on the side until the demand was too much to keep up with on my own. I love that you live in a wine-growing area. I've always thought vineyards were so pretty. That cake looks really good, I'll have to try it sometime! Have a good day! <3
Comment: Thanks for the lovely postcard. This Summer most days are above 32c. Also the wind never seems to stop. Pistachios grow well here and produce enough for commercial sales. We have an almond tree but it's young. I hope you have a lovely day.
Comment: Thank you for the card. I don't know if I'd like a book set on a cruise ship--I always think that the worst thing about a cruise is coming down with food poisoning or those other diseases.
Comment: Hi! I love the postcard you sent... It is so beautiful. I have been to England several times, I have relatives there... I love it there too! Wish I could live there ☺. Thank you so much for the beautiful PC! Have a fantastic vacation!
Response: Thanks a lot for your nice rating and the heart :) I'm so glad you liked the card as it's from my favourite region. And I agree: I also wish I could live there :)
Comment: Thank you for the great postcard. It's great your son learnt about Pachelbel. Any interesting facts?
Response: Thanks a lot for your rating and the heart! Well, they were talking about how some elements of Pachelbel's canon were used in pop music. This was news to me and I found it really interesting - my son, on the other hand, is probably the most tone-deaf person on earth :) Music is definitely not his favourite subject....
Comment: Hi Magali
I just got your postcard! Oh my gosh it's soooo cute!!! I LOVE IT!
The washi tape and the lil shamrock in the corner made me smile too.
Thank you so much, if you ever want to do any private swaps just message me. I used to live in Germany as an aupair and I loved every minute of it!
Thanks again :)
Comment: I really do like the lovely colourful Christmas postcard and postage stamps Yvonne, thank you very much. I don't live too far away from the North Yorkshire Moors and do visit as often as I can. I can assure you that you will have an enjoyable holiday in and around that area. Seasons Greetings to you :)
Response: Edit: Thanks so much for re-rating and for even giving me a heart! So glad you liked the card. ///
I resent the card today. Please change your rating when you receive it - it would have been nice to let me know about the lost card before rating me down..... Things do get lost in the mail.
Comment: Thank you for the wonderful postcard! One of my best friends is from Beverly, and she lived for about 15 years in London working as a solicitor. She's now retired back to Leeds to raise her son. I hope you're able to visit the Isle of Skye one day!
Comment: Hallo Yvonne!
Comment: What a magnificent aerial view of the Cologne Cathedral at night -- it is absolutely stunning and I've never seen anything like it. The Cathedral must be a truly beautiful place to see . . . I cannot begin to imagine what the interior must be like and how peaceful it must be. Thank you so very much for sharing this magnificent PC ~~
Response: Thanks so much for your rating and the nice comment :) Cologne Cathedral is really beautiful but first of all it's very impressive. I'm so glad you liked this card as much as I did!
Comment: Your lovely postcard and note arrived when I was ill with a virus. Just better now and catching up. Sorry it's taken me so long. I love the PC - makes me want to visit and see all the sights. Thanks. Chris crispycritter
Response: Don't worry - hope you've recovered now! And thanks a lot for the rating.
Comment: Hello! Nice to meet you - Thank you so much for the teas - I absolutely love marzipan, and, I can't wait to also try the Zitronengras-Aloe Vera- Himbeere tea. They both sound so fascinatingly yummy. Thanks for a wonderful swap. Love the way you decorated the envelope, too. Happy day to you.
Comment: Thank you very much for the fully written card with many great stamps and washi tape :) Really appreciate that you wrote such a detailed information about Lübeck. It surely seems like a beautiful city! ^_^
Comment: Thank you so much for the terrific lip balm flavors and for the sweets. I gobbled the sweets down like a lion falling on prey, lol. They were yummy! I know what you mean about enough charts to last a lifetime. I am going to have to let my subscriptions expire because I have so many charts now I'll never get them all done.
Response: Thanks a lot for the heart :) I'm so glad you liked the lip balm and sweets and it's always so nice to meet a fellow cross-stitcher.
Comment: Thank you for the postcard. I'm definitely a numbers person, not a word one, funny :P
This is the first I get from you, but maybe the other one is on my stash of the received mail today. My postman seems to like to go to my house once a week and keeps all the mil for one day, so I have a lot to go through
Comment: Hello Yvonne :)
Omg! I love the postcard so much! It's so cute <3 :) Thank you! I love the cute heart stickers and the stamp :) They are amazing love songs... :) I love the song Thinking out loud by Ed Sheeran and many old love songs... :)
Happy Valentine's Day! <3 :) Much love <3 Take care! Have a beautiful day xoxo
Response: I'm so glad you liked the card, I thought it was perfect for Valentine's Day! Thanks a lot for the heart and have a wonderful Valentine's Day as well! :)
Comment: Yvonne - Thank you for the lovely Christmas postcard! I loved hearing all about your favorite Christmas things. My family is from Bavaria and also love Stollen during the holidays! <3 I hope you have a very Merry Christmas and 2016 is filled with much happiness for you and your family!
LG
Comment: Lovely card and note Yvonne. I LOVE Marzipan and I am going to save my teabag for Christmas and savor it on Christmas Eve. Have a Merry Christmas and all the best in the New Year. Chris crispycritter
Response: How nice to meet a fellow marzipan lover :) Thanks a lot for the heart. Hope you'll enjoy the tea, have a wonderful Christmas time!
Comment: Thank your for the teas but I prefer loose leaf tea. But I will have these bags when I get people here who love teabags. The finest tea is tealeaves. I dont like tea bags because they taste only hot water. Thanks anyway
Response: I'm sorry you're disappointed. I drink both teabags and loose tea and with good quality tea brands I don't taste any difference...
Comment: A bilingual PC - with glitter! Love it - thank you! It is warm here today (60F, 15C) but that is unusual for November, and "they" say we will have snow soon. We get LOTS of snow here. And it can be VERY cold for weeks on end. But today I am enjoying the warm sun. (";)
Response: So glad you liked it - thanks for the heart! The weather here is crazy: at the beginning of this week it was cold and grey as we had some thick fog that wasn't shifting. Now that it has finally lifted it's so warm, up to 20°C, in November! I don't really like it, I want cold and snow now :)
Comment: Thanks for the very nice christmas card!
I agree with you that it's quit strange to write a christmas card this early in the year, but hey, we just keep it till it's time for Christmascards :-)
Best wishes, Henny
Comment: Thank you! New blends for me, and I can not wait to taste the Greenfield teas! In here, we have only their Blueberry nights and Earl grey. Have a lovely weekend!
Response: Thanks a lot for the heart! Hope you'll like the Greenfield teas, the two I sent you are my favourites. As we have lots of Russian grocery stores in Germany, Greenfield is widely available (though not all the varieties all the time...). Enjoy the tea and your weekend :)
Comment: Thank you for the pretty Halloween postcard! We do not celebrate Halloween here unfortunately. Would be so much fun to go trick-or-treating with the kids! Enjoy yours :)
Response: Thanks for the heart! I'm so glad you liked my card and was surprised to hear that you don't celebrate Halloween at all. For us it's still a relatively new "holiday" but it's so much fun for kids.
Comment: Thank you for the lovely postcard. My last name is Hafer which is oat (my husband's is Cimo - Italian) . It was originally spelled a bit difference and meant Potter in old German - I think it was Hoeffer but the o & e were together in one letter. A lot of Germans settled in Louisiana above New Orleans and in south east Texas.
Comment: Hi Yvonne, thank you for the pc you sent. I love the decorations on the back. Such pretty washi & stickers you used. And the stamps are fantastic, esp. the little prince...Happy swapping. Take Care :)xx
Comment: Thank you for the nice card and stickers. I hope your "beach weather" will be a bit cooler. I'd die if temps were above 40C. I have seen news reports on Europe having steamy temps. A great way to get into some water, maybe a pool, or to the beach!
Comment: Thank you for sending this great card and telling me about your region! The buildings are really interesting. We don't have architecture like that here in Hawai'i.
I also live in a really small town, and there aren't any postcards of it. That's too bad because I think views of small towns like our would make for some great cards.
Response: I agree - I'd love to send cards from my little village. But I think it's just not profitable enough for companies to print such cards as there probably wouldn't be a lot of people buying them :) Oh, thanks a lot for the heart :)
Comment: Many thanks for your swap. You made a very nice selection. I love the teas you piced out for me. It's the first time I see "Milky oolong tea" in a bag. I bought it this year for the first time but only found it in loose tea so far. Happy tea moments for you as well.
Response: Thanks a lot for the heart! So glad you liked the teas - I'm not a huge fan of green tea but the milky oolong is really nice. It's a Russian brand but I buy it here as we have lots of Russian grocery stores in Germany. They have other nice teas as well.
Comment: Thank you for your nice card of the boat on the shore. The little stickers of a beach theme, nice light house stamps was very nice. I love sunset/dawn cards, and the sunset was wonderful on the card as well. Everything was just lovely!
Response: Thanks a lot for the heart - so glad you liked the card and embellishments :)
Comment: Hello Yvonne, I just finished reading your letter! It was lovely! You sent me so many items.. when really you do not have to! I will sent something from Singapore to you.. Look out for it! This was a fun package, one of my favourites! Once again, I thank you (:
Response: Oh, I'm so glad you liked everything!! I had so much fun writing the letter and choosing things for you and when I read that you liked chocolate I just had to send you some. So, you're more than welcome to everything and I'm glad I made you happy :) And thanks a lot for the heart :)
Comment: Dear Yvonne, thank you so much for your envie! You made me so happy with all the charming stuff inside. I love everything! It was great to get my favourite Muumin tea, and these bookmarks are absolutely adorable - real art in a simple bookmark! And I also like your story about each bookmark - so interesting to know about your book culture. Thank you very-very much, dear!! Lots of hearts for you :)
Response: Thanks a lot for your lovely comment and the heart :) I'm so glad you liked everything - I love Moomin tea as well and I'm always happy to receive some so I thought you might feel the same.
Comment: Hello Yvonne, thanks so so so much to send me such a great postcard and share your vacation with me. It sounds amazing and I really hope I can visit there someday in the near future! Your mail really bright my day, hope you have a nice day too. 😊â¤ï¸
Comment: Hello Yvonne and thank you for the sunset view of St. Martin's Cathedral in Mainz, Germany. Hope you are enjoying the Saturday farmers market on the square. I look forward to see my town's local farmers market on Saturday. Hope you enjoyed a Happy Spring!
Comment: Hi Yvonne, thank you very much for sending a great variety, and I can't wait for my kids to get home from school so that we can all try the chocolate drinks together! Meanwhile, I'll enjoy a quiet cup of orange tea! ;D
Comment: Hello Yvonne, Thank you for again a beautiful postcard. The wicker chairs like the ons on the postcard. I have never seen them her on our beaches. But I must say that I have not been at all the beaches in my country. Bye, till we "meet" again.
Comment: thanks for the lovely resend, I love the cat :D Why Germany? I'm not really sure, I studied German as a kid, have visited your lovely cuntry many times and I'm into history so.... that's a start right :D
Response: I'm so glad it arrived - and thanks a lot for your nice rating! I also feel weirdly happy that you like my country :)
Comment: Und schon wieder ich: Dankeschön für Valentinsteepost Nr. !
Comment: Thank you so much Yvonne, I love the postcard.I´ve just stayed the night in Frankfurt once, before flying to the USA. I will definitely have to visit this city and have time to explore. / Camilla
Comment: Omgsh I love everything so much!! The socks have to be the prettiest, warmest, softest socks I've ever seen and they went on my feet immediately and fit great :) the teas all smell amazing (and I LOVE loose leaf ones!) I also put the lip balm on immediately and its amazing. :) so sweet and thoughtful!!! Thank you so much
Response: Oh, thank you for the rating and your nice comments :) I so hoped you would like everything and I'm glad you did, especially the loose leaf teas (they're my favourites and it makes me sooo happy when others like them as well). As for the lip balm, it's a new one so I never tried it but thought it sounded nice. I guess I have to get it for myself now :) Anyway, have a cosy and lovely winter and Christmas time and a very happy new year!!
Response: Thanks a lot for the nice rating - and for being so patient :) I'm really surprised this envelope was so fast, I suppose I really forgot the customs declaration form on my first one. Sorry again!
Comment: Funnily enough, I sent out a postcard of Prague as well (though not the same one -- that would be too odd a coincidence!). Prague seems beautiful and I'd love to visit one day. Thank you for your postcard!
Comment: Thank you so much Yvonne for all the lovely drinks you've sent me :) You made me order some chai latte stuff for myself too ;) It was really a nice welcome to try something different than always tea! WIshing you a nice weekend ahead, Aline
Response: Thanks a lot for your rating! I'm so glad you liked everything - especially the chai latte mix as a lot of people don't like chai. It's one of my favourite drinks at this time of year. Have a nice weekend as well :)
Comment: Thankyou very much Yvonne for the super matching postcard and stamp. Ta for the lovely message I do like the addition of the date and the weather report and I do appreciate that you translated the wording on the pc for me :)
Response: You're very welcome - and thank you for your rating! I have to admit I stole the idea of putting a small weather report on cards :) Someone did that on a card to me and I really liked the idea.
Comment: Thank you for a great postcard of Frankfurt am Main. I have posted it in my blog at:
On a personal note, my wife and I were in Frankfurt in 2006 but did not see much of the city as she sat on a drug addict needle in the S-bahn and we had to rush to the Goethe University Hospital. It was a nightmare
Response: Thanks a lot for your rating! I'm so sorry you had such a horrible experience in Frankfurt and that my card brought back all those bad memories :( Frankfurt does have a bit of a reputation but I still think it's a great place and it's the most international city in Germany. Maybe you'll have a chance to return one day and see the nice sides of it!
Comment: Hello Yvonne & thank you for the beautiful Paris Eiffel Tower painting postcard you sent to me for the swap! I love the artwork of Georges Seurat & hadn't seen this painting of Paris' famous Iconic Tower. Yes, Autumn is my favorite season of the year - all the colors of the trees as they change, like artists have gone "wild" with paint colors. Happy October!
Thank you for the beautiful map. The postage stamp with the clarinet is a great bonus....
Comment: Hi Yvonne, Thanks so much for the great card. I love the contortions in that tree... there's a ten year old boy who lives inside me who says that is a perfect climbing tree! I haven't been to England, but I have a suspicion that it would be my favourite country too. And of course I've wanted to go to Germany for a very long time. Did you watch the game???
Response: Thanks a lot for your rating! I'm so glad you liked the card, when I read that you like trees I thought it was perfect. And yes, of course I watched the game :) I suppose there were only very few people in Germany who didn't, the TV station that showed the game had record viewing rates. I still can't quite believe they actually won. Yesterday the team got back from Brazil and there was a huge celebration in Berlin - also broadcasted live on TV - which was crazy. Strange not to be watching football anymore.... (or is it soccer in Canada?)
Comment: WONDERFUL - I love this great postcard of the Dom at Worms at sunset. Thank you! and also thank you for writing out those wonderful information about Worms. I hope to get a Worms city view one day.
I have put the Cathedral postcard in my blog
Do have a look when you have the time and leave me a comment if you like.
Response: Thanks a lot for your rating! I'm so glad you liked the card, but I thought you might :) I was in Worms just a few days before I sent the card - unfortunately this is about the nicest one they have. I didn't see any city view cards at all. I've already bookmarked your blog which I think is great!!
Comment: I just heart cat postcards, but I was so busy with your great message, I didnt look at the postcard til I was about to rate you. So the Cat PC was a purrfect bonus. Thank you. You did a great job with the swap them of hearing.
Response: I'm so glad you liked both sides of my card :)
Comment: Thank you for another stunning postcard. This postcard of St Martin's Cathedral, Mainz is wonderful - I like it a lot. It is now in my blog:
Once again, thank you
Comment: Hallo Yvonne! Yes I remember your postcard! :) Thank you for this playlist, that was great to listen to German songs! It reminds me of my teenage years (in the 80s) when I went twice to Germany with school. Great memories! I especially love Revolverheld, Adel Tawil, Unheilig (his voice reminds me a little bit of Falco), Glasperlenspiel and Juli. I even understood a few words when the lyrics were written, yeah!! ;-)
Response: So your teenage years were also in the 80s! :) Glad you liked the music - I'm not a big fan of Unheilig, but the singer (whose real name nobody knows, he calls himself "der Graf"....) certainly has a great voice. I really love Revolverheld, though. And I quite like French music - French used to be my favourite subject at school and back then I had all Jean-Jacques Goldman's discs :) I don't listen to them very often now, but when I do, the songs always transport me back in time... I know I should have written this in French but English is still faster. Oh, and my son actually had the best mark of the whole class in his French test (I think I told you about that on my postcard). Sorry for bragging but I'm really proud of him!
Comment: Hello Yvonne
Thank you for a great postcard - it fits in nicely with my collection of bridge postcards. I have put this PC in my blog at:
Do have a look when you have time. Once again, thank you.
Response: Thanks a lot for your rating! I'm so glad you liked the card - I've had a look at your blog and actually bookmarked it as it's so interesting. And I do feel honoured that you put my card on it :)
Comment: Thank you for the neat card. Yes my last name is of German descent and my maiden name was Erdmann which also is. I lived in Germany for a year and a half in the 1960's. I lived in Lampertheim and then moved near Stuttgart. My husband was in the Army. My son had his first birthday when we lived there. I enjoyed it and have a lot of fond memories. Thank you again.
Response: Thanks a lot for your rating - I'm so glad you liked the postcard! That's great that you enjoyed your time in Germany - Lampertheim is not far from where I live, the area is famous for its asparagus. Erdmann is quite a common name in Germany, there are even people called like that living in my little village :)
Comment: Loved your crochet PC. If you go on to pinterest you can check out my crochet board.
My mother could crochet a king size afghan in a week. I can crochet small projects but when it comes to a blanket my borders go slanted sideways. I stick to stitching plastic canvas. My board for that is
thank you for swapping with me.
Response: Thanks a lot for the heart rating - I'm glad you liked my postcard. I checked out both your pinterest boards, there are some really nice things there! I've tried stitching on plastic canvas and made Christmas ornament which was fun. I do prefer to stitch on normal canvas, though.
Comment: Love the PC! Thanks. My younger son crochets. He's 20 now, and a couple years ago he crocheted a hat for his girlfriend! :-) He sews, too. Graduating next month with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, working for Polaris after he returns from a backpacking trip w/friend to Europe!
Response: So glad that you liked my postcard, thanks for the heart :) I hope your son will have a great time travelling Europe - maybe he can pick up some new ideas for his crochet!
Comment: What a wonderfully delightful swap! I loved reading your pretty pink letter! And Lent is the only Easter celebration you mentioned that I'm familiar with. I enjoyed hearing about them all! I am SO excited for the songs! Thanks for the offer to send the links! I should be able to get them just fine from your letter though - will let you know my favorites! AND i LOVE marzipan so can't wait to try the tea and the green Melissa looks wonderful too! Thank you SO much!!!
Response: Thanks a lot for the heart and your nice comment! I'm so glad you liked my letter and the tea, and that you actually love marzipan - it's one of those things that people either love or hate so it's always a bit of a risk to send this tea :)
I'd love to hear what you think of the songs, even (or especially) if you don't like them.
Comment: Thank you for the priority labels and the tea too! ♥ ♥ Ohh haven't tasted mango tea before but I love mango so it sounds super good :) I think I'm going to make some tea right now and taste it immediately :)
Comment: Thank you for your letter! I've been to Germany once, years ago, but not your part of the country. I really enjoyed learning new things about your surroundings and life. The postcard was a great companion to the letter, giving some visuals, and I put the bookmark in use already! Danke Schön!
Comment: Thanks for the lovely card and the nice note. I have lived in Germany twice, once as a young child, from 1951-54, and again as a young Army wife, from 1968-1970. In fact, our younger daughter was born in Heidelberg. The older daughter and I went back on a tour in the fall of 2010, and I got to see Berlin, Dresden and Leipzig for the first time, as well and the Passionspiele -- the fulfillment of a life-long dream. I think of Germany as meine andere heimat, und es freut mich sehr eine carte von Deutschland zu haben. I hope I spelled all that correctly -- I can speak more than I can spell. Vielen Dank, and happy swapping!
Response: Thanks a lot for the heart! I'm so glad you liked my card, I had no idea you had a "German history" :) Heidelberg is not far from where I live! And with Berlin, Dresden and Leipzig you visited three of my favourite places in Germany. Your German is impeccable :)
Comment: Hi Yvonne~
What a pleasure it was to receive your letter along with the 2 lovely teas! I truly enjoyed reading about how you enjoy your teas, when, and in what mug! Very thoughtful, newsy letter and I will most definitely enjoy brewing the plum and marzipan teas very soon!
Response: Thanks a lot for the heart :) And thanks for setting up this swap in the first place - I thought it was a brilliant idea and I had so much fun writing that letter!
Comment: Wow that's so amazing you came to Ireland on your honeymoon !! Where did you stay ? I've been to Mainz! I went on a school exchange. We visited Heidelberg too :)
Response: Thanks a lot for the heart!
We travelled around Ireland a bit on our honeymoon. We stayed in Kenmare, Kerry; Clifden, Galway; and near Wicklow in the Wicklow Mountains. From there we visited places around the area and also went to Dublin. Ireland was so lovely, unfortunately we haven't been able to make it back there since then but will do that in the next couple of years.
That's great that you visited Mainz and Heidelberg - hope you had a nice stay! Unfortunately my school never had exchanges with Ireland, just with Britain. My son is now at the same school and they have some more choice, but still no Ireland :)
Comment: thank you for great selection of drinks, they were great, just a pitty that there were sticked to each other by tape so when taking it out it destroys the packets, i am a collector:)
Response: Oh, sorry about that! I will make it up to you, I have an idea - surprise :) Thanks for the heart!
Please also rate me for Tea, Coffee and Hot Chocolate #3 as the envelope was for both swaps and you didn't receive the first one - thanks.
Comment: Thank you for the lovely postcard. I would love to visit Germany one day. I have ancestry the comes for somewhere in the Rhine district and even though I don't know exactly where I would still love to see it. My favourite smell is newly baked or baking bread, yumm!
Comment: Yvonne, I loved your cheerful red envelope. It made me wish I would have sent a fun one! A bit of the tea came out of one of the bags, but it's okay! I have a tea steeper that I can use, and it made my mailbox smell like heaven! Thank you so much!!
Response: I'm so glad that you liked the tea (and my envelope :) but I'm sorry that one of the teabags was damaged! Hope you were still able to drink the tea. Thanks a lot for the heart!
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful postcard of Frankfurt =D ...and thank you so much for writing me some curiosity about your city...I really appreciate the postcard written!!!...very cute magnet! = D ...Greetings from Italy!!!...
Comment: Wow! Thank you so very much for all these wonderful teas & coffees! I look forward to drinking the marzipan and having a nice taste of your country! I will be trying it this evening as I am reading my book. Thank you for the extras, I really appreciate it! I can hardly wait to try all of these, they all look so delicious! :o)
Comment: Da hast Du mich total verwöhnt! Vielen Dank!
Comment: Yay, a fellow Whovian! And I recently read Atonement but have not seen the movie yet. I have never heard of Augustana but will have to give them a try. I really enjoyed your recommendations; thanks!
Comment: When I started reading your answers I was like "wait, aren't those my answers..." and then I came across one that wasn't like mine, so I realized we just have a similar taste haha. I love your answers :). Thanks for the great swap!
Comment: thanks for the swap but there's at least 2 answers that aren't one word - #18 and # 40. Numbers 6 and 46 are questionable - i don't think living room is a hyphenated word. just bringing this to your attention bc if i'm following the rules of rating then this isn't a 5 - this is a rating of a 3. sorry if this makes you angry at me. 3/26/13
Edit 4/15/13: the above is what I emailed you with an offer for you to change your responses so I could rate you a 5. when you did not change your responses I just decided to go ahead and rate three. I am adding this edit to clarify my rating.
Edit 5/3/13: In response to your response: You write I could have let you know you could change your answers...PLEASE re-read what I wrote: "The above is what I emailed you WITH AN OFFER for you to change your responses so I could rate you a 5." I did offer you a chance to change your answers. If I send you a convo or email with this written how often am I suppose to keep offering? You need to read things through thoroughly...on swap-bot and in life! It's not my fault if you cannot read the instructions, "didn't take this challenge seriously," and didn't respond to my offer to change your answers so I could rate you more favorably. I am so sorry that you didn't read the instructions, "didn't take this challenge seriously," and didn't respond to my offer to change your answers so I could rate you more favorably.
Response: I do understand your rating and I probably didn't take this challenge seriously enough. I thought it was more for the fun. Apart from that it's a lot more difficult to give one-word answers for non-native speakers. I did as best as I could - sorry if it wasn't enough.
I only just read your edited reply. I didn't know I was still able to change my responses when you first wrote me - I thought once I had sent them that was it :( You could have let me know I was still able to change my answers...
I didn't understand your e-mail was an offer to change my answers, I really didn't. Maybe because my English isn't good enough. Had I understood correctly I would of course have changed them. I always read through things thoroughly but I didn't understand what was implied and I'm sorry about that. I made a mistake and learned from it. I knew I was supposed to re-send items when they didn't arrive but I didn't know I was able to change answers in e-mails. I just hope we can leave it at that now, as this makes me feel quite upset.
Comment: I'm wondering if you have different tea in Germany vs. here in the USA. We have black/green/white tea which has caffeine, and then herbal "tea" which doesn't contain actual tea, and thus has no caffeine. What do you have? Thanks for the answers and pretty color text!
Comment: Thank you for your interesting answers! I don't think I've read many of the books you mentioned (I don't often read mysteries/suspense books). I tried The Da Vinci Code & I am also not a fan. The Harry Potter books were a fun concept & that may have been what all the hype was about, but I think they would have been better if they were more heavily edited. I'll have to check out some of the others you mentioned & maybe read a bit out of my comfort zone :)
Comment: I've got your envelope today and wow I really love tea you sent for me! and a personal message:) Each of the tea flavors is so unique to me! Actually I haven't haerd about the name of Marzipan. It tastes like cherry flavored unlike my expectation ( I thouhgt it would taste like Almond or sugar because i googled what is the Marzipan before i tried it) but I loved it! I will try rest of the tea soon. Redcurrant is so rare to me too. I didn't know this is the fruit haha I love dried fig so I really expect to taste fig flavored tea! Thank you so much!
Response: I'm so glad you liked what I sent you - and thanks a lot for your rating! Although it's made of almonds marzipan indeed tastes a lot like cherry. You often get the flavour combination of marzipan and cherry as well. Hope you'll like the fig tea - I'm not a great lover of green tea in general but I liked this one.
Comment: Thank you for your package, Yvonne! ^_^ My girlfriend has already enjoyed both the toblerone & oreo coffees, & I gifted marzipan coffee to one of my good friends. Sadly, I couldn't enjoy any of the coffees myself as I am intolerant to both nuts & chocolate, but I did enjoy the gummy candy & the oatmeal biscuit that you sent. It made me laugh that in your letter you said that you visited Manchester but the weather was very bad ~ that's most definitely a true reflection of the weather all year round here! ;) Helen xx
Response: I'm so sorry that you were not able to drink any of the coffees! I did read your profile but ignorant me thought that artificial flavouring wouldn't be a problem - I've no experience with food intolerances, so I'm really very sorry. I'll certainly be a lot more careful in future swaps and I'm glad that you found someone to drink the coffee and that you were at least able to enjoy the candy :)
Comment: Wow, we have a lot in common, despite the fact that I don't like chick-lit much and haven't heard of most of the books you listed. :) For #32, I put German and Russian, and we have the same favorite poet! Also, I thought the Harry Potter books were overrated. It was lovely reading your answers, and now I have lots of books to look up. Thanks!
Response: Thanks a lot! I just love talking about books and I'm glad you enjoyed reading my answers and opinions.
