Comment: Yikes, sorry for the late rating! I liked reading your card and hope your Orphaned Postcard Project picks up again in 2012. How exciting that your new granddaughter will be arriving soon! And thank you for the great 3¢ vintage stamps. I'm especially loving the covered wagons ones you sent. Thank you so much!
Comment: A colorful birdie envelope flew into my mailbox today. I really LOVE all the bird cards you sent (you gave me an extra one - how sweet)! Your flamingo note card was neat too, and I enjoyed reading your note. A bird feeder bird cam sounds neat, but yeah, probably a bit expensive. Have a wonderful day!!
Comment: I love the scavenger hunt notecard swaps too, and each one you sent in this package was perfect for me! The poppies, the nostalgia choice and the leaves were all sincerely appreciated and will all be used very soon. Thank you so much!
Comment: Thank you, thank you, thank you for the cute little hooty owl Halloween postcard! I love it! Seems like we have a bunch in common :] (Joining a swap of those who know Misty, we were bound to meet some great people!) Also had to mention that you have great handwriting. Hope your mailbox is full of happy things and hope to see you around :)
Response: I'm thrilled you enjoyed it and thank you for the heart :-)
Comment: I loved your pretty, neat photo cards! I'm looking forward to using them. The size will allow me to write my long notes. You're right...the sparkle from the sun really added to the photo of the Grand Canyon!
Comment: Belated thanks for the beautiful cards you sent me. I'm hard-pressed to say which one I like better as they are both *so* good! Btw, are you a new grandma? Did the hurricane hit them?
Response: Thank you for the heart! My granddaughter, Aurora Claire, was born 1 Sept and it was a lovely sunny day. We think she just wanted her own birth month ... her big brother's b-day is in August :-) Hurricane Irene hit, and did damage, but nothing too bad.
Comment: Loved your wrap up! Loved, loved your postcard!! I used to be very active in The Letter Exchange~LEX. Maybe most active in 91 (did I really just admit that date?). Am I reconizing your name & handwriting from LEX?
Response: I was a LEXer back in 91! Member #7934 :-) I've lapsed and rejoined a few times, currently in lapse. How cool to meet you again!
Comment: I so enjoyed your note on the pretty card, and I have already used the "REPLY REQUIRED" sticker on a letter to my life long friend, who NEVER writes back. Thanks so much for the other stickers too..
Comment: Thank you so much for all the purple die cuts! I love all of the paper and sizes. My MIL has a Sizzix, too, and I've spent many an hour in front of it. My favorite templates are a small album (about 3-4 in. by 4-5 in.) with insert pages, and any of the envelopes and tags. Thanks!
Comment: loved your note....and had to chuckle or two...I really enjoyed reading it...thank you so so much.... NH is a great state...and very very beautiful.... I live 45 minutes, from the ocean, the mountains, and also Boston.... if I had to go there...lololol Take care...and thank you again...Pat loved the little stickers you sent.....
Comment: So cute! I try not to watch the show for precisely the reason you described - b/c I feel so bad for the people who get eliminated! And thank you for putting such cute stamps on - I wish I could get the lavender one off so I could re-use it in a piece of art myself. Thanks for surprising me with an extra early send!
Comment: Thanks for the card. I love that sense of suspended time, as you call it. Definitely a plus when traveling. I agree it takes a person unattached to the clock to enjoy it. I am the same way--i give myself up to the travel.
Comment: Hi, I loved your note it brought me to tears and made me smile at the same time. I love that it was long and how you took the time to write with so much thought and feeling. Words really can't express how much I loved it. Thank you for sharing with me what your most treasured possession is and why.
Comment: Thanks for the nice notecard. I love the color of the pen as pink is a favorite. I can't get over how nice your handwriting is either. The stickers are awesome and I am planning on putting them to good use in the near future. Again Thanks!
Comment: A M A Z I N G !!!!! I don't think I've had you as my swap partner before, Bonnie, but you definitely live up to your name, and then some!! The box you sent was in the top 5 swaps I've received in almost a year & a half on Swap-bot :) I love & appreciate everything and feel like the luckiest person to have you as my partner for this swap. Sincere thanks for making this a *great* mail day! <3 <3 <3
Response: Thank you, Alfie! I really did have fun putting the box together :-)
Comment: what a wonderful bunch of notecards-i think this is the first time that i have liked each & every one i recieved! and i will be moer than happy to send that family a letter for their 2011 goal! I too homeschooled my kids for awhile and it was so rewarding for us all! thanks again for a great swap! hugs! )
Comment: This postcard is exceptional, I love the colors and am amazed that there is no really adhesive smearing. Thanks so much!
Response: Thank you, Krista! I have been trying to perfect my adhesive application for months now. An adhesive eraser helps, but mostly it is just using less adhesive and spreading it evenly. Takes lots more time and I still get impatient at times, but I'm getting better :-)
Comment: Thank you for the note. I've seen your work on MailArt365 as I am following it (though I didn't join) - well done! I can't help hoping I'll receive one of those postcards from you during the year ;)
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful handmade card and very interesting note. I wish you success in achieving all of your goals! Sounds like what seemed to be a "bad thing" could turn out to be a very good thing if it lets you make some desired changes in your life!
Comment: Bonnie thanks so much for the great books on hats. My sister has just started teaching me how to do altered journals and the many hats we wear is one of the pages I want to do , so this book has given me a lot of ideas and inspiration. I love it. Wish I could give you more hearts. So glad you went through your stash and found it. :):):):):)
Comment: Thank you for such a lovely letter. Your family get-together sounds so amazing. Indian food is my favorite and I am such your meal will be yummy! Wishing you a wonderful holiday season. Hugs, Mona
PS-Love the stickers
Comment: LOVE you mailbox pic- and it's interactive, the little postalguy inside is awesome! Thanks so much- sorry it's taken so long to rate, I moved back to PR and found my computer here is dead and it takes AGES for the internet to be hooked back up ( I'm at a coffee shop right now).
Comment: Thanks for the cool space travel card, and the even more interesting message on the back ... you are right, cool post cards with interesting post marks would definitely increase my interest in going to outer space if the option was available.
Comment: Thanks for the beautiful postcard of the space shuttle Atlantis at night. I had no idea of the history of its name. When I was little, I loved Star Wars and other Sci Fi books and movies, so I took it for granted that I'd one day travel in space... now, I'd only go if I could take my dog! ; )
Comment: Dan is getting better and better at convincing me that I need to give Pittsburgh another shot. I've actually been very close to where your picture was taken (we were extremely lost) and thought from that angle the city looked lovely. (I'll have to write you a note soon to tell the story of my only trip to Pittsburgh -- it's a doozy.)
Response: It really is a lovely city, and if you happen to be here for Light Up Night, Nov 19, you can see Pittsburghers go WILD for fireworks. D.C., Boston and NYC got NOTHING on Pgh for fireworks.
Comment: lol! I'd be afraid to kayak in that river as well. Imagine finding some dead animal just floating down the river. I'd be traumatized for life.
I hope you have a wonderful day! Thank you for the wonderful pc
Comment: I picked this up a few weeks ago and forgot to re-rate. I loved reading it and the sticky notes are are super cool too! I've already started using them at work and you're right, I am definitely more productive...well either that, or I'm more aware of how productive I really am sometimes :) See you around and thanks again. I love these swaps!
Comment: Thank you so much for the lovely notecards and your note. I especially LOVE the ocean themed card. I also love to be close to the water - and really enjoy when I get a chance to get to the ocean.
Comment: Thank you for the wonderful note. Green is an okay way to be, when you are talking about trees. BTW - speaking from experience, tulip trees are great for shade, but dirty as far as cleaning up after them.
Comment: What a lovely note card! Got it yesterday and so glad as it was a good reminder to get mine in the mail. Although I would love to stick it in my stash, look for it's return shortly as I already know just what to fill it with. :-)
Response: Thank you! I just love that notecard :-)
Comment: Got parts ONE and TWO including note on recycled elephant POO -- the fact that rhymes would have tickled you-know-who ... Liked you PC and thoughts & post office managed to wreck the alkie stamp -- probably someone there going POSTAL ... btw, you get extra points for "working ahead," too! Got it already, today! [Response to your comment: well, some of those folks at the p.o. ARE a little out there, I've even seen pen-marks on stamps and my cousin's mailman has been known to do that, too!]
Response: Thank you! Actually, I had Friday off so I played in the art room. I'm going to cancel my art-use postage myself from now on. I started using some of the plainer or weird vintage I get on postcard fronts and everyone has been mangled.
Comment: I loved the card you sent me, first of all, and I wish you good luck with your patio and fire pit (hope you have some pets who can enjoy the coziness and drama of The Fire!! with you). I'm with you - I love growing things in my garden (we just moved - whole new possibilities!) yet am not big on indoor plants either, although I wouldn't mind ONE... Anyway, the next day I received the Fallingwaters PC and I trilled like a canary when I saw it! Thanks so much for being so thoughtful. 5 + <3 !
PS: I love your handwriting.
Comment: Bonnie Jeanne---Thank you so much for the lovely package.....your package inspired me to visit a local artist's studio and buy some of her work for my partner. I adore the things you chose for me....I especially loved the tree card that you wrote your note in...I think it is absolutely gorgeous ! Thanks again...for both being such a great partner and organizing this awesome swap !
Response: I'm so very glad you enjoyed the package. And I am even more thrilled that it was an inspiration! Thank you very much for the heart :-)
Comment: Nice to hear from you dear! (I accidentally missed your Stationery swap - moved it to my watchlist for a few days close to the deadline and then forgot to rejoin. Story of my life these days. lol) I was able to read your note just fine, but thanks for asking. While a deck is always fun, I agree that a stone patio is more natural. Have you decided yet? Hugs, Terry
Response: Thank you for the heart! We have decided on a patio, though that could change once we start the ground work, which will probably be in the next two week.
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful notecards! I love them both, especially the Damselfly one. The moo card is a great idea for your website. I actually have your blog bookmarked and visit it often. Hope you had a wonderful time in Florida!
Comment: Thank you so much for the fabulous etsy notecards and the note that you wrote along with them! The tea notecard is great. I love the aqua color. The cup and saucer even reminds me of a set my mom used to collect. I also loved the stamps you used to mail the swap in :) Thanks again!
Comment: I received these postcards today. Thanks. They are all very nice. I am a little confused as to why you sent these to my old address, as I had changed it in swapbot 6 weeks ago and all my other partners sent to my new address. Luckily, though, it was forwarded. Thanks again, Erin
Response: I had your old address on hand from previous swaps. I'm glad the envelope forwarded properly.
Comment: I ADORE your ATC's - They're actually my favourite ever :-) I don't know how you aren't confident as an artist! I love the quotes and wish I had bigger versions for my wall :-) Thank you for joining and thank you for these ATC's... which will sit proudly on my desk at work! xax
Comment: I love your blizzard! I thought flowers at first glance too, but the two cutouts glued on there totally clued me in to what was really going on. They made it, though one of them nearly had a couple arms amputated by the postal sorting machine. I've given it emergency reconstructive surgery and it looks as good as new!
Comment: Thank you so much but for the beautiful inchies. You know it's funny when I lived in Los Angeles there were no fireflies there either, but when I moved back to Delaware there they were. I missed them, running around and chasing and catching them was such a childhood thing. I love the dog he looks like a big boy just like my Bubba. Oh and by the way you have beautiful handwriting.
Response: Thank you! I am so glad you like the inchies. When I was a kid I got terrible marks in penmanship class. I think I learned to print nice out of a desire to prove the mean teacher with the ruler with which she whacked my knuckles when I didn't make my letters perfect :-)
Comment: I am speechless! :-) First, I received two [correction: three!!!] beautiful postcards from the Cathedral of Learning at Pittsburgh, depicting the Polish and Russian rooms (I have a very similar corner altar for my ikons, in fact) and showing the building from outside. This was lovely and most interesting in itself. But then -- I was spoiled, spoiled and spoiled again, having received the most wonderful Merino lace wool in lavender and sea green, a book of patterns for ponchos and wraps (my favorite things to knit), a set of needles, and of course a handmade fabric card as well! You made such a great and thoughtful choice, and I am glad that you found an independent shop selling knitting supplies. When I go to my knitting group's meeting on Tuesday night, I'll be sporting the Ewe Can Knit carrier bag, aha! ;-) -- I have not decided on the pattern yet, there are just so many to choose from. I can't thank you enough, and would love to stay in touch. Hugs and best wishes,
PS I loved it that you called me "Gosia"; it's been a while since anybody did! ;-)
Response: I'm thrilled that the knitting parcel arrived. I had so much fun shopping! A while back I had a dear Polish penpal whose name is Malgosia and she used Gosia as her nickname. You remind me of her, so I suppose that is why I used it :-)
Comment: Hi Bonnie,Oh my this was the best swap.I had 4 packages from you. Your creativity is amazing . I feel like I know your city and you. Truly a wonderful package. Thanks so much, love and peace mary
Comment: Thank you for the hideous notecard. Some of the cards I got/sent were merely pitiful...ugly teddies, outdated cats, and the like, but you really dug deep and came up with a TRULY disturbing card. Good job!
Comment: Thanks for the letter/notecard! Our tree was full of pears this year too. It was the first time for us also! Brandied pears sounds really good. I'll have to send you one of my favorite pear dessert recipes too. Thanks again for the swap :)
Comment: Thank you for the very pretty card!! I loved the "Cheers" reference. That is one of my favorite shows. I still watch it. You had quite an adventure with the beer mixing. It sounds fun. Again, thank you.
Comment: Thank you so much for the Beer ATC! Love it! And love the Czech proverb on it - I actually AM Czech so I really had to laugh when I saw it. :) the Czech Rep IS a beer-nation. Heeheeh
Response: I was sort of hoping you would be of Czech descent. Your name does have a bit of a Central European feel :-) I've had beer in Czech Republic and I have to say, the setting made it enjoyable. I could not finish the HUGE glass I was given, but it was great fun.
Comment: Looks like you had a really good time on your vacation. I went to the Great Smoky Mountains on a trip once when I was little. I don't remember all the specifics, but I remember it was beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
Comment: Thanks so much for the wonderful postcard! This summer I spent 7 weeks driving across country and stopping at several national parks along the way. At each location, the "passport" stamps were a favorite of mine as well!
Comment: Thanks for the neat variety of images and especially the fruit ones! :) Where did the "el melon" one come from? My fav. non-fruit image is the checkerboard with buttons and trinkets. I also really like the pictures on photo paper: the books and mug of blueberries most although the sunset one is nice too (where is that?).
Response: The photo of the books with blueberries is mine, taken from the chair where I sit most often. The sunset/rise is a mystery. I have a bunch of photos in my ephemera box that I can't recall ever taking, and have no idea how I might have gotten them. I suspect at some point I got them via mail exchanges. El melon was in a grab bag sort of thing I got from animadesigns.com, one of my favorite haunts, and she is local... Verona, I think. I had fun putting the swap all together and I'm thrilled you enjoyed the envelope :-)
Comment: Thanks for the cute inchies! My favorites are the cupcake and butterfly ones (...love the glitter!). The fringe one was a great idea. They are all very welcome additions to my collection. Keep making them!
Response: I was getting worried about the packaging on this swap. Cost me 75¢ extra for the small, but fat, envelope, and the USPS lady made me feel like I made a huge mistake sending such a small fat envelope. So glad it arrived in one piece and you like the inchies :-)
Comment: Hello Bonnie Jeanne,
It has been a little while since we have swapped with one another. It is great to be swapping with you again. I received your lovely Autumn postcard this past week. I am excited to hear you made a Postcard Journal from the directions I gave you. I have not done one yet, but I have plans to do several as I have been involved in and are presently involved in a number of postcard swaps that are long term. I am proudly going to start out my postcard collection for this swap with your postcard all about Autumn. Thanks for sharing a little bit about why you chose to do the postcard the way you did. I also like the varied use of mediums to represent your A word--Autumn. I hope we cross paths many times during this swap. Until our next encounter, Happy Swapping!
Comment: I LOVE IT!!! It's soo cute. If that's taking the easy way I'm in trouble :( The recipe sounds good. I love zucchini... well I love most all vegetables. It does remind me of a Lost in Space episode where the Robinson's are on a planet chopping down overgrowth and the plants start crying from the pain.
Thank you. It's such a cute card. :)
Response: Danger Will Robinson! Oh my goodness... I only got to see a few of those programs because my mother did not believe we should watch tv, but I did love Lost in Space. And I had never seen that one with the crying plants, but man... so ahead of its time :-) Thank you for the heart!
Comment: Wonderful package - thank you so much! I love the print - I'm getting it framed and plan to hang it near my piano. The tote is great, and I'm much looking forward to reading "Stitches in Air". You are a super swapper!!! Sam xoxo
Comment: Oh my gosh - I love your food diary and all of the ephermera that you included. I just got it today, but I can't wait to settle down and read it tonight!!!!
You did an awesome job. Thanks very much. It was well worth the wait.
Response: I'm so glad it arrived and you like the ephemera :-) And so sorry for the delay. I learned a lesson about international mail that I won't soon forget. Customs forms for everything now.
Comment: Your card looks DELICOUS! Great use of aluminum foil, and the embossed frosting stripes add to the sugary goodness look! Now to go eat dinner which I swear will not end up being a cupcake.....
Comment: I loved all of your choices! The falls were beautiful, the Alamo a great keepsake, Eureka - California - I never knew existed except for the TV show, London was awesome, and the donut card was yummy! Thanks so much!
Response: Oh man... if you ever get to California, go to Eureka! Lovely little town, even in the pouring rain, which is mostly how we saw it. Glad you enjoyed all the cards :-)
Comment: I'm rating you early even though I haven't gotten all of the PCs yet because you choose the coolest PCs.
Thanks-I'm enjoying them!
Response: Thank you! When I read your profile, I was thrilled.... I had the perfect postcards for you and they are a bit larger than usual, so I wouldn't have to squeeze writing into the usual size card :-)
Comment: thanks for the awesome button! and no, i have not read the map book, but i will most definitely look it up! also, good luck in your gardening endeavors.. when i was young, i would garden with my mom, and it was so relaxing!
Comment: I enjoyed reading your note! You sound like me when I'm trying to clean up my clutter and art stuff (the putting things to one side and getting sidetracked). Good luck and enjoy the time with your family :) Edit: I just read the back of the notecard. I've heard of Handmade Arcade, but that's about it. If it's an arts/crafts festival, I would love to go! And thanks for mentioning Sampler... I'll check it out.
Response: Oh man... you have GOT to go to Handmade Arcade this year! It is Nov 8. The website is http://www.handmadearcade.com/ Last year it was held near East End Food Coop, and I hope it is in the same place this year. It was with a funky building supply place called Construction Junction http://www.constructionjunction.org/
Comment: I'm so happy!! You made a so lovely Japan Journal for me... with all that envies in the inner sheets :) I love every quote and thing you made to it... You're very creative! Lots of thanks for all the extras too ^_^
Comment: Thank you for another cool postcard. It's always a treat to hear from you! Have FUN 'roughing' it! ;) Sounds like my kind of 'outing'. I'd love to receive a pc from the Great Smokey Mts if you think about it. Thanks!
Response: I am looking forward to more color swaps when I get back from the Smokies! And you were already on my postcard list for a card from the mountains :-)
Comment: Lovely postcard! Even the deckled edge survived the post office. I think I will be imagining a foreign vacation this year, too. Thanks!
Response: Glad you like the card and that it travelled well. The card stock I used for the postcard is amazingly durable. I got it for a song at a Borders Bookstore! I think I paid $1.99 for 10 blank postcards.
Comment: thanks for the great cards
sorry for the delay in rating
Response: Oh! No worries! I just want to make sure you got the cards. See this article.....
It isn't likely I had anything in the mail this postal worker delayed, but it could happen as it isn't far from where I am.
Response: Thank you! The Thirteen and a Half Lives of Captain Bluebear is indeed intriguing! I am about a breath away from the end and looking forward to reading more from the same author. Fantastic imagination!
Comment: Thank you so much for the lovely note and tiny papers. I love how you packaged them with the silver string - great idea! My favourite is the green square with silver glitter stripes. Great swap - thank you.
Comment: Cool postcard, as always PostMuse! What's a Xyron machine? E.
Response: Xyron is a small tool that makes anything a sticker. The machine is hand operated, no electricity or batteries, but it is a bit pricey. The paper needed to create stickers is very pricey, but I wait until it is on sale and then stock up.
Comment: great papers thank you,,cool wrapping paper
Response: Man, I am glad that package arrived. I started worrying that I might have included homemade paper with pressed flowers in the stash, which I know isn't allowed through customs. Glad you enjoy the selection!
Comment: Thank you! Funny sentiment. And you were hoping the postal employees have a sense of humor....well, this card had a little trouble in the mail somewhere along the way. It managed to get creased cross-ways and ripped on that crease on each side. But the good news...all the little cutouts stayed in place! Yep, gotta love our post office! :)
Response: Wow! I've had my envelope mail get mangled, but not postcards, especially "real" postcards. I wonder if the damage is machine or human.... hmmmm.....
Comment: It's here! I am embarassed to say that it has been here for awhile, and slid off my car seat on a day I had a bunch of mail--I spotted it this morning on the floor of the backseat! Thank you for the lovely note and the moose stampings!!! Also, thank you for coordinating this swap--you are a peach!! :)
Comment: Hello Bonnie Jeanne,
Thank you for your "C" postcard you sent me for the "C is for..." Swap. I like how you shared through a calendar some of the interesting and fun things that are going on in your life. I like how you utilized a large C on the back of your postcard so anyone who read it could tell this was a postcard about the letter C. I have been doing a lot of planning ahead of time as well for future letters by finding unique places, items, or events from my state that I would really like to share with my partners. I am looking forward to adding your postcard to my wonderful postcard collection I have developed since starting Swap-bot. I have found some great directions for making a POstcard Journal for featuring postcards collected. If you are interested in the directions, I would be happy to send them to you. Just send me a note and let me know and I will work on getting them off to you. Make sure you send me your address. I hope you had a nice Holiday Season and that 2008 is starting out in a positive manner. I hope we continue to meet each other at future swaps. Until that happens again, may you have rewarding and enriching swapping experience.
P.S. Sorry it took me time to get you rated. I was gone for 6 weeks and did not have items with me to rate. I returned right before Christmas and just had time to get ready for the holiday and spend time with family and friends. This has been the first week I have really felt like I have any time to play catch-up on the backlog of rating work I need to do. Thank you for your patience.
Comment: WOW!!!! I am impressed!! I think the negetives stick out as well as the music pieces!
WOW!!! I love it! It's funny the things you can find at yard sales! I LOVE thrift stores as well.
PS I've also seen Paul and Ringo, too! I also have that RIngo book....it was on clearance at Borders!
Comment: Thank you! I love the colors in this postcard. The glittery background must have been a royal pain for you because it does look as if the post office decided to keep a piece of it. The darker teal color across the top has a trace that it was there. Anyhow, I'll scan you a picture so you can see. But the rest of the card came through beautifully! I still love it!
Comment: Thank you! The card came through in better shape than I've seen in a long time! That little strip across the address wasn't ripped. Maybe the PO got some new equipment? And, the Be Lucky non-flat sticker is still stuck as sound as ever! It was a lucky Be Lucky sticker! Thanks for your kind compliments, and thank you for the "C"! I just love the things you come up with!
Comment: Thanks so much! What a F~A~N~T~A~S~T~I~C swap!!! (^_^)
Response: Oh my goodness...I am so glad you enjoyed it. I had such fun putting it together and worried a bit because I had misunderstood "fat quarter." I did find some more material that **is** fat quarter that I am sending as soon as I get to the post office.
Comment: Bonnie Jeanne, you deserve 10+ stars for my swap box of goodies!! Oh my goodness girlie!! I was tickled pink with everything you sent me!! You sent so many of my most favorite items!! I thank you from the bottom of my heart!! You are an angel!! Big Hugs & Kisses, Terri XOXO
Comment: As usual, I received another wonderful postcard from you. I think your mom and my mom said the same kinds of things! ha-ha!! The glue held perfectly on your postcard. Looks like a great technique, may have to try it out for myself. Thanks again for a GREAT postcard!!
Comment: Thank you so much for the WONDERFULLY creative Halloween card! It is so cute!! All of the little spiders made it safely to their destination (clinging for dear life - ha ha). My grandchildren are so captivated by both sides of the postcard!!
Comment: This was a great postcard to receive! I spent seven years living in Brookline, and know, love, and miss Boston greatly. All the things you mentioned loving about Boston are just the things I do! Thank you so much for the postcard :D
Comment: A hundred plus hearts this set is stunning and I just loveeeeeeeee it and the ink pad is awesome. Just perfect for an ATc junkie like me Stampington&company are so hard to get here in NZ Thank you thank you thank you
Response: The pin-up girl is an iron-on transfer that is part of an entire sheet I had planned on using for a little evening bag embellishments, but my sewing machine is broken, so now I am using the sheet for ATCs
Comment: Wow, I'm sorry I'm so late in posting this rating. For some reason I thought I had done so already.
Amazing package. Your letter was great. I love the way you tied everything together through your desire to help people. A noble ideal, indeed.
And the book you sent is fabulous. I do have it, but bookcrossing is wonderful thing, so, when I head to the Denver art museum next week, The Short Life and Happy Times of the SHMOO goes with me to, hopefully, find a new home. :)
Comment: I miss London, too! I hung a map of the Tube on my wall at college to remind me of the gap. I was there in August 2004 for a few days, but it isn't much fun by yourself. I hope to return soon with friends :)
Comment: Thank you for the lovely postcard. I enjoyed reading what you wrote about the Cathedral of Learning. What a fascinating, beautiful building! It is really exciting to read about such creative approaches to culture, education and history. I'd love to go and just wander through all of the classrooms.
Comment: Thank you for the friendly & wonderful card: I love Thomas Hardy's novels (esp. Jude the Obscure), so I'm very happy to have a photo of his birth cottage! (And I just happened to put a postcard into the mail to you this morning, so it was fun to return home and see one from you waiting for me!)
and more! the book you sent was not only beautiful, you really put a lot of work into it.
Thanks so much for sharing your art work with me!
hugs to you,
Response: I am so happy you like it. I had such fun making it :-)
Comment: Thank you for the wonderful California Redwoods postcard. So nice that you would share one of your UNESCO World Heritage postcards. I love the date stamp! I gave you a heart for sharing it and because it brings back childhood memories of many, many trips through the area. We lived in Southern Oregon and have family in Eureka, CA. It was always my favorite part of the drive!! :D
Comment: Thanks for the great card - and wonderful quote by Henry James about being "kind"! I have only one single rule in my daycare with my daycare children, and that is to "be kind":-)) Thanks a bunch! Hugs!
Comment: The postcard you sent put a big fat smile on my face. I've never seen such honesty on a postcard before.
The self-improvement thing is from Fight Club-- "Self improvement is masturbation. Now self destruction..."
Comment: How cool that you read my profile to send a special postcard to me!!! I love Alfred Hitchcock too so that is just way too cool!!! Now I have a postcard with part of the setting for one of his films, that is awesome, thank you!!! <3
Response: You are welcome! I love to find just the right postcard :-)
Response: You received "Flights of Fancy" from me back in March. You did not respond to any of my THREE emails back in March.
I have also heard from others to whom you gave 1s...1s that are not deserved. I think there is something very wrong here.
Comment: Thank you for the fabulous letter, 1920s card, and postcard! It was a lot of fun to read about Pittsburgh - I will definitely contact you if I find myself in your neighborhood! 6/28 - Thanks for the postcards of the inclines - so cool! I love the glass building and would like to see it in real life someday. Tons of hearts!
Comment: I love libraries! I've only been to Harvard once and didn't get to see Widener, but I hope to someday. Some of my favorite library movies: Party Girl, With Honors, Desk Set, Possession, and Shawshank Redemption.
Comment: I def. agree with the quote on the back of your postcard, "When I got my library card, that's when my life began." How appropriate! And made props to you for learning to spell Czechoslovakia at age 8. I'm 24 and I don't know if I spelled it right.
Comment: GAH, I loved the "Something Local" that you sent me! The card and ATC were really pretty, but I have to say I really loved the lift token. I am OBSESSED with transportation so that really made my day!
Comment: cheers for the lovely way that you sent the package, i dont get much mail other than bills boring white or brown evelopes, so to find a nice rich burgandy envelope on my mat was a real treat. thank you ;)
