Comment: Sadly, this was sent late. And when it arrived it was was the not the quality of work I expected for sending so late. The nickle you glued on came off in the mail. After contact with the coordinator of the swap, it was agreed upon by both of us that a 3 rating was fair.
Response: I sent you a message on the 11th with an explanation as to why I was sending the swap late. I sent you another message on the 15th telling you that I had mailed the swap to you on the 13th of December, just 2 days past the due date. You did not have the courtesy to respond to either of those messages. I am sorry that the nickle fell off of the rolo in the mail, but that happens sometimes; it is not reason enough to rate me with a three. You waited 2 weeks to rate me so that you could give me a 3 instead of rating me as soon as you received the rolo.
Comment: Hi, Sorry for the delay. I just returned from a two month trip around the USA attending postcard shows. Thank you for the great recipe you sent for the Lasagna Roll. I look forward to trying it. Enjoy the day1 Demaris
Comment: thank you....love the rolo....and OMG The halloween card is cute.. i actually have a few pages in my smashbook just for halloween smashing...also ...love the zine...very detailed...thanks for sharing it....
Comment: I love it! I never even thought of file folder, it is so cute. Did you cut it yourself or buy it, I would like a few of these little cuties.
Response: I'm so glad that you liked the rolo! I was worried that it was way to simple. I have a sizzix die that cuts them and I'd be happy to send you some! Send me a pm with your address and to let me know if you'd like them in any specific colors.
Comment: Thanks for the fun prints! The Citra Solv layer looks like metal shining through on these. I'm not getting that effect with mine. I wonder why? Anyway, these are cool! I appreciate your help with this swap. I'm still trying to get enough good prints to send, but I'm learning a lot on the way. I wouldn't have been able to do it without you! Please don't give up hope about receiving the napkins. They're coming. I picked up a few more designs for you today. :-) Thank you very much!
Thank you for hosting this swap. It is neat!
Thank you for being my partners and sending the Dump cake recipe! Who doesn't love a good dump cake?
Thank you for the beautiful cat PC.
Comment: Yes, I had a time trying to make a decent collage with them too. Unfortunately the bird must have come off as there is a spot with what looks like adhesive in the corner. Thank you for all your effort.
Response: Oh thats a bummer that the bird came off! It was a little circle that had an owl on it that said " A little bird told me..." . This is the first time that an element has fallen off of one of my postcards! I'm sorry about that.
Comment: GREAT self-mailer! I did the same thing as you - tried several different kinds before coming up with one that would work. But half the fun is in the making, don't you think? Sounds like you're enjoying summer, with the classes you're taking and playing in a local art studio. (Jealous!) Thanks for the egg carton rose instructions too - I'm going to put the kids to work on that one. : )
Comment: It's so cool that you used Miss Peregrine's for your paragraph! I just got the sequel and have been forcing myself to finish the 2 books I'm reading before I jump into it. Thanks for a fun postcard!
Comment: Always love getting mail from you. My sweet tooth thanks you. LOL. I pmd you awhile ago in response but haven't heard back. Since the swapbot upgrade I seem to be having some issues with pm and logging on etc. i can copy and paste and email if needed? Let me know. 😊
Response: Awww thank you for your sweet comment! Your mail makes me smile too!
Comment: I was thrilled to find Phineas, Chump, and their very flat motorcycle in my mailbox yesterday! After some discussion, I have set up an arrangement for them with the friendly campground guardians at Mendota County Park. This allows them access to the rather algae-choked and slow-moving yet appealing Lake Mendota as well as parking for the motorcycle and a tent for Chump. Mendota has access to lovely Monona, Upper Mud, Waubesa, Mud, and Kegonsa for the ambitious Phineas, who really wants to check out Stoughton, the Home of the Coffee Break. Thanks so much for sharing this sweet and intriguing crew with me, I hope that they will enjoy their time here. Off to buy organic bananas by the bunch!
Comment: Thank you. It is interesting. Very unique. Recipe looks great too.
Response: LOL, yes, the postcard is probably not what you were expecting! I bought a lot of postcards online for this series of swaps and they are quite odd, but they will be interesting at least for the recipients!
Comment: Thanks for the lovely card you've sent me!! I like the technique you used to make the card, and the quote was really made for me ;-) I'm very sorry for the late rating, it was not on purpose! Best wishes to you! <3
Response: You're welcome! I'm glad that you like the card!
Comment: Mississippi Mud. Going to have to try this today. In WI they do coke and milk (not me), ewh. I LOVE citrus stuff so I am excited to try the pie and dip. Ingredients are on my shopping list for next week.
Comment: Thank you for the great pc. I love all the techniques that you used. I use deli paper most of the time, With this swap I gave tissue paper a try,but deli paper is my first choice! Enjoy printing!
Comment: What a charming little tag! I love the little bird:) I hope you never feel intimidated by these swaps....they're just supposed to be a fun way to use up "crap"! I love the envelope and notecard, too! Very Creative!!! Thanks for playing with me:)
Response: Thanks for the sweet words of encouragement! When I got my tag in the mail, I was so overwhelmed by the beautiful workmanship, that's why I felt a bit intimidated in making mine!. I am glad that you liked it!
Comment: I love the bright orange and yellow color scheme. So cheerful shining away in my mailbox when I opened it. Great idea to use your scraps too. Thanks for making it just for me and for the nice long note. PM coming your way
Comment: Thanks for the yummy sounding recipe, Susi! It looks delicious! Also, I think it is the cold air that is making the glue sticks un-sticky... Your cute little chocolate chips turned into cute little confetti in the bottom of my envelope! Lol
Response: LOL, how funny! that must have been to find confetti in the envelope!!! Imagine if they were real chocolate and peanut butter chips, yikes!! Anyway you're welcome, I'm glad you liked the recipe!
Comment: I really like your idea. Snooze buttons would sure be nice - for everything. LOL The dog got lost somewhere on its way in the mail, but I still like your idea.
Response: Thanks for the heart and the nice comment, even though that naughty dog decided to go off on an adventure in the postal system, lol! I'm happy that you liked the postcard, if I happen to get you as a partner once again, I'll be sure the adhere all of the pieces on extrememly well!
Comment: Thank you for the great postcard, love it! Great color and I love all the stamping. I adore the Zip code man. Where did you get that stamp? I would love to find one. As always, great work! Hugs, Mona
Response: Hi Mona! I'm glad that you liked the postcard! All of the stamps i used came from VivaLasVegasStamps. I've had the stamp for years, so I don't know if they still have it, but there's no harm in looking! Good luck!
Comment: Hi Susi! Thanks so much for your lovely envelope of smash booking goodies! I especially love the list pages you included. Looking forward to swapping with you again soon! See you on Instagram! <3
Response: You're welcome! I'm glad you liked everything!
Comment: Thanks for the great mix of goodies! I have a big bin of smash book ephemera that I use for my own book and for swapping, so never worry about sending duplicates! And thank you for the fun card - we do indeed celebrate Halloween in Canada, my 2.5 year old went 'tick or treating' for the first time this year. :) Cheers!
Response: I'm really glad that you liked what I sent you! I really tried to send you a nice package of smashing goodies! (sorry it took me so long to respond to your rating, life has been very crazy lately!)
Response: You are welcome! I tried very hard to make this pkg especially geared to your likes and preferences. Since weve been partners several times already, I also wanted to make sure that you didn't get any duplicate items.
Comment: Thanks! This was a little late, but it seems like a totally understandable and honest mixup (lots of partners in this swap!) and you were really communicative and nice as soon as I asked you about it. I'm following your IG too, I really like your pictures!
Response: You're welcome, and thank you for understanding my goof up! I'm following you to, your ATCs are awesome! Maybe some day we can get together and craft a bit!
Comment: Thanks for the swap , i would have give a heart if you would send some more variation in the swap , like stickers , paperclips , ribbon , etc.
Response: You're welcome! I'm sorry that you weren't pleased with all of what I sent. I tried to send you things that you listed as wants/ likes on your profile, so I sent those type of things. I would have sent them if I would have known that those are things that you want for your smash books.
Anyway, thank you for rating me a five.
Comment: I absolutely LOVED everything I received! This is the first swap I've ever entered and yours was the first I got in the mail. Everything was exactly my taste and gave me lots of new ideas! Thank you so much for the wonderful gift!! I'll hopefully be sending some stuff your way in return for such a wonderful gift. :)
Response: I'm so happy that you liked everything! It was fun putting it together. Don't worry about sending anything in return, it was just a swap. It's great that you are having a good experience with your first swap.
Response: Yay! The first set of goodies arrived after all! I feel so much better now, because I haven't been able to even start putting a new envie together yet.
I hope you liked what I sent and can use it in your smash books/junk journals!
Comment: Awesome little bits and I love the letter you sent, especially the part about meeting up with another swap-bot friend! I am enjoying more and more the notes and letters I receive in swaps. It makes me realize how much I've missed it. I use to write letters all the time. Thank you. :)
Response: I'm glad that you liked the little bits I sent you! It was almost like a treasure hunt to find them. Writing the letter was fun too, I enjoyed giving the explanation of each item.
Comment: The book was wonderful! Thank you so much for the private swap to help me become a part of the bot here! It was very kind of you.
I really enjoyed the steam-punk look of the paper bag book you sent. I'll put pictures of it up sometime today.
Response: i'm so glad that you liked the book!
thank you for swapping wth me, it was a pleasure, and i hope that someday we can arrange another swap again. i hope that my rating helps you get started here on the 'bot! i can't wait until i get your book!
Comment: Sorry I hadnt rated you for this yet! I have been busy with my oldest son's cubscouts den. I love the recipe you chose to send my way. Thank you so much and thank you for resending immediately after I contacted you! You are a great swapper! All the best! :)
Response: Thanks, Shanea, I am so glad that it got to you and that you like it!
Comment: Hello Susi--
Well, we made it to the end of the alphabet. Thanks for hosting this swap and keeping people involved until the end. I have around 100 recipes to now try over the rest of this year and in 2010, including your Zucchini Bake that I received today. It is one of those easy recipes to prepare and bake and then enjoy. I look forward to adding your recipe to my collection and to my final recipe book that all these recipes will go into when I have my final plan. I look forward to your next swap(s) you host. I am trying to find a good time to host a swap. I really want to host my first one and I think once I do my first one i will look forward to doing others. Thanks again for a great swap and I will watch for your next swap(s) you are hosting. Send me an e-mail when you are ready to host somemore swaps. You know I will join you if I can.
Comment: Hello Susi,
Well, I received your recipe today and I sent off my recipe to you late today. Now we are down to the last letter and we will have completed our Alphabet Recipe Postcard Collection. AMAZING!!! You have done a great job in keeping those of us who stuck it out to the very end focused. I look forward to trying your "Yum Yum Strawberry Pie" as I love Strawberry Pie. What has been AMAZING as well is that I did not get one repeat recipe throughout the entire swap. So, I got over 100 recipes and not one was a repeat and so I will have some 100 NEW recipes to try over this next year. What an adventure. Thank you for hosting this swap and I look forward to seeing your name on a new swap in the future. I know we will meet again at future swaps. Until that time comes, Happy Swapping!!!
Thank you soooooooooo much. I LOVE everything, I actually have a collectiong of G's in my craft room. The candy smells heavenly or the lotion.........it smelled so good when I opened the package. The shoes! Love em...........they go in my future, hopefully before Im too old, and maybe by this time next year grandchild stash........lol
Again, TY Susi...............your a doll. :)
Comment: Yooouuu crazy woman!! This was a $5 surprise swap and you sent me a package which was soo huge I had to go get it at the PO cause it didnt fit in the mailbox!!
You have just spoiled me so ROTTEN, so rotten!!!! Of course I love EVERYTHING so much!! And your ATCs are really fascinating and personal. You dont get the rating you deserves, as there is only one heart to be given!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
Comment: Hahahaha! I opened my mailbox this afternoon and was surprised to see a thermos in there. At first, I assumed one of the junior high or high school kids found it in the street and just shoved it into my mailbox. But then I saw the postage label and mail label and burst out laughing!!! I LOVE the sticky notes that were tucked inside!! Thanks for sending such a fun and unique item through the mail!!!
Comment: Hello Susi,
Can you believe that we are already on "Q" and moving onto "R?" This swap has really gone by quickly and I have not got one, not one single one repeat recipe. So, if it continues, when this swap is all over, I will have some 104 new recipes to add to my recipe box and to try. This has been a great swap. With that all said, thank you for your Q Recipe, the Quick Pumpkin Bread. It sounds YUMMY especially because it has a pound cake mix in it. I really like pumpkin bread especially during the holiday season and so this will be one I will try when Christmas comes rolling around again. I look forward to running into you on future recipe swaps and other swaps. It is always a pleasure to swap with you. Until we meet again, Happy Swapping!
Comment: wow, susi! i've been doing all your alphabet recipe swaps since around "l," i think, and i finally had you as a partner! thanks for the quick pumpkin bread recipe! it looks yummy! :), sschlegel
Comment: Hello Susi,
Sorry I have been so slow in getting a rating done for you but I have been sick since before Christmas and my 2009 has started off with a continued battle will illness. With that said, I wish to express my appreciation for sharing your "Jump-In Crab Dip" recipe related to this swap. I enjoyed reading the recipe and it sounds TASTY. It is one I will look forward adding to my special recipe collection, A-Z Postcard Recipe Collection. It is also one that I will look forward to trying when I have an event where I need a dip be it at my home or to take to someone else's home. Hope that you had a nice holiday season with family and friends and that 2009 is filled with all the best for you, your family and others important to you. Hope we crossed paths in 2009 and I will work hard to be more prompt on my ratings.
Comment: Hello Susi,
Sorry I have been so slow in getting ratings done for the swaps you have mailed to me. However, before Christmas and continuing into 2009 I have been dealing with an illness that just will not let me be. As a result, I have had to take it slow and easy--listen to my body. With that said, I want to extend my appreciation for the "Key Lime Pie" recipe you sent me for this swap. Oh YUMMY! It is one of my favorite pies, so I know I will be getting this recipe out and using it in the very near future so I can enjoy my own Key Lime Pie. Happy New Year. My recipe book is going to have a nice collection of your recipes as we have been partnered a lot. See you on Swap-bot during 2009.
Comment: This was a really great package and I'll be making the first card using all the stuff u sent me for a special friend. Thanks a lot for all the efforts and all the stuff is really beautiful. Hearts for you. Wish i could give you more coz u deserve it.
Comment: Hello Susi,
It is so great to be meeting up again as it has been awhile since we have "crossed paths." I also appreciate you taking over this long term swap. I look forward to getting a complete set of recipes starting with our letters of the alphabet. Your "Border Queso" sounds wonderful and would be great to take to a pot luck. I look forward to adding your recipe to my ever-growing and ever-changing Personal Postcard Collection and especially to my A-Z Recipe Collection that is starting off with your recipe. Hope you are having a nice summer and that it has not been too hot in your "neck of the woods." Until we meet again.
Comment: Thank you for the extras! I've already read this book(and enjoyed it), so it'll be going travelling again very soon.
Response: Awww, sorry I sent you a book you'd already read before! My daughter told me not to send that one, that you'd probably have read already! But I hope that you give it to someone who will read it and pass it on and it will journey far.
I am glad that you liked the extras!
Comment: A heart for the breast cancer awareness cards in your photostream! Lost my grandmother and one of her sisters to breast cancer...
Response: I'm sorry for the loss of your grandmother and your great aunt. I made them for a yahoogroup swap a long time ago. Did you notice that I used pink elastic, like bra straps? I thought the connecction would make them all the more believable!
Thanks for the rating, and for the heart!
Response: Isent out my buttons some time ago.. I even sent out a bunch of extras. I'll jest send out another package just in case, as I have a ton of then (buttons, and if you get the first one, you have a bunch of buttons too.
Funny that you did not get them though, At least one other partner has...but in anycase, I'll get a new pkg out in a couple of days. In the meantime, please let me know if they have arrived. they are in a small padded envelope.
UPDATE: I sent you a small care pkg yesterday, just for fun! I hope you like it!
Comment: Dear Susi, Thank you for the nice collection of images for my stash of images for doing collage work. Images you sent were great as some were in color, some in black and white, they varied in size, and I could tell you have some neat magazines to retrieve images from and to share. Thank you again for sharing.
Comment: The first swap that arrived did not meet swap rules. I am the host and the partner in this case. The rule was to send 7/8th of one ounce to once ounce of scrap paper but only 1/4 ounce was sent.
After contacting the member to discuss this she sent me a much larger amount than the swap called for.
I was disappointed that Susi didn't follow the rules. However, Susi was very friendly and the situation was corrected, so I am rating her a 5.
Response: I am glad that you recieved the packet of papers, and hope that you can use them in your art.
For the zillionth time I apologize for the first mistake, i was unaware of the weight, that's all.
Thnk you for changing my rating. I do appreciate it.
Comment: I loved the poetry book. The first poem was incredible, because it happens to be a favorite. I am a teacher in a bilingual/bicultural state and have used the poem in a lesson. If you are not from the SW or west it might not be familiar.
Now I could be picky and give a lower rating because a pen wasn't included, but I won't because I could tell that my partner spent time working on this journal for me, and that time is valuable. Thank you Susi!
Response: thanks for the rating! I found your pens, do you still want them, LOL? They were buried in a box....i didn't want to look for them earlier!
That's cool that you actually knew the poem and it's a favorite and you've even taught a lesson on it!
Glad you liked it! (all that writing about killed my hand!)
Comment: I\'m changing my original rating because I just found the envelope your cards at the bottom of a pile of mail that was waiting for me to get back into town.
They\'re gorgeous. Thank you so much!
Comment: You introduced me to an new place in the U.S. that I was not aware of until now. Thank you for the postcard. I have directions for making a postcard book. If you would like it, let me know and I will send it to you.
Comment: Great card- Thank you so much. Susi actually sent me another card due to the first one getting lost in the post - she's a great person for doing that as it wasnt her fault in the first place - so i just want to say a special thank you for that. And if the other one ever turns up :D
Comment: Susi, I loved how you combined the "old box" and your own embellishments to create this postcard! The flowers from the Chamomile tea box were perfect for you to set the 'picket fence' sticker in front of and in theme for the bees and ladybug stickers you affixed. I loved the quote "Earth laughs in flowers" by Ralph Waldo Emerson. You really went to some effort in creating this card and I loved it! Thank you!
