Comment: Wow, lucky me! Love your envelope and so many extra cards too! It's like I hit the jackpot. Now I never did know that there are Salt Plains in Oklahoma - very cool! One of the vintage ones-from Hawaii-I have that card that my brother sent when he lived there for a time in the 70's-crazy huh! Thanks so much--happy weekend to you Kristy!
Response: The salt plains is an interesting place for sure! It’s worth googling for sure!
Comment: Thanks for the note. My post office is in Norco. I actually live in Eastvale. Ca which use to be part of Corona, Ca but they broke off and became its own city in 2010. Long story.... we will have to Pen Pal about. S lot has changed but the horses are still everywhere in Norco.
Response: Interesting! I haven't been back to California since 2004..I think it would be interesting to see how the area I grew up in has built up.
Comment: Love the Okla. Route 66 card--thanks much!
Zefaniya isn't the town you live in, is it? I can't read a postmark to see where it is you live to be able to spot it on the map. I did notice a town called Anadarko-a company by that name was responsible for a house explosion that killed 2 people in CO because of an uncapped well. Anyway, thanks again for the card!
Response: Nope! I live in Alva which is in the NW part of the state...by the panhandle! :)
Comment: Hi Kristy! Thank you for the share about your vacation - sounds like a bunch of fun! We have never been on a cruise but it is on my bucket list, as is Cozumel! Thank you for the extra goodies as well! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Response: Outside of Alaska Cozumel is my favorite port! :)
Comment: Wow you went way above and beyond! Thank you SO VERY MUCH for this beautiful Colorado Starbucks mug and ALL of the goodies you tucked in the box with it!! WOW! It is going to take me a good while to go through all of this!! I love the Alice funko peeking at me when I opened the box! Love love love!! Wow!! 10,000 hearts! Thank you so much! The box feels bottomless because it just keeps going and going! xoxox You absolutely made my whole month! xx
Response: That was quick! I am glad you enjoyed the goodies...I had a lot of fun putting it together :)
Comment: Received 2 small tape samples and 5 memosheets, not exactly what I suspected with a swap named 1 oz of kawaii happy mail (it was less then 0.3 oz). But indeed a heavy notecard to protect the memosheets.
Response: I'm sorry you're unhappy with your swap.
Comment: Thank you for the goodies. From the Heart is such a great group. Yes, we still have some snow on the ground. We got six inches last Thursday! Snow showers tomorrow and this Thursday as well. Enough already!
Comment: Hi Kristy! Thank you for the share about your busy weekend! Happy belated Anniversary! How many years? I have seen good things about "I Can Only Imagine" - I never seem to make it to the movies though - sigh! Thank you for the extra goodies as well! Very sweet! Hope you have a great weekend! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Response: 16 years, thanks! 😄 I’m glad you enjoyed the swap.
Comment: Kristy...thanks for the "stand out" happy mail in my mail box with my utility bills!!!! Thanks for the great selection of PC's you sent and be sure to thank your husband for his years of service! The HM card is so cute!! Happy Easter...Charlene
Comment: Thank you for the book recommendations! I read The Diary of Anne Frank as a youngster. It was a school assignment. Something tells me I'd get more out of it if I read it again now. A Child Called It also sounds good but like a very difficult read. Thanks for all the extras! Have a great day!
Comment: Cool postcard! Hope you were able to accomplish your goals. Definitely hope you're feeling better!!
P.S. Looks like the post office considers the card "over sized" & it takes a $0.50 stamp instead if postcard stamps.
Comment: Thank you! Love this postcard! Me and my daughter hiked to Abrams Falls a couple years ago. We were only planning on a picnic in the Smokies but ended up at Cades Cove, which is one of my favorite places. I walked almost all the way to the falls barefoot. It was easier than walking in my flip flops! I'm always barefoot, so it actually was normal for me... :)
Comment: Thanks for the great card, Kristy! I've been thru Skagway too-a Princess Cruise close to 20 years ago now. My shore excursion was the White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad which was fun. I don't think I have a card from there that shows ships in port, so it's a great one for my collection. thanks again!
Response: I wanted to do that Yukon pass both Alaskan cruises but at the time I didn't have a passport..maybe next time! You're welcome!
Comment: Hey Kristy! Super cute envelope! Thank you and I loved reading about you and your likes! Thank you for ll the extras! Hope you and your cute little pugs and husband have a wonderful weekend and Easter :]
Comment: Thanks for all the zoo-licious kawaii! The postcards are cool, too. Funny thing, they're from Homer, Alaska, and I've been there quite a few times since we lived in Anchorage for a year. Nice coincidence! =)
Comment: So much glitter! I loved living in Alaska so much. Adjusting to Oklahoma hasn't been easy, but at least I wasn't here in 2011 & 2012. I hear those were terrible years to be alive in OK.
I'm thinking your eyes should not squeak. I'm a little disturbed by that!
Response: I've only lived in OK the past 13 months but I am glad I have not had to personally experience a tornado though. I am sure moving from AK to OK was a bit of 'culture shock' like it was for me moving from Colorado.
Comment: Thank you Kristy for such a fun swap! I love this swap. Never joined one like this and I really like the risk of getting and sending unknown stuff to people. It was a lot of fun and I love what you sent! What fun washi! And I love the pc's too! My fav's were the sailing ship one and the old church in the Netherlands. Love the happy decorated envie too! :)
Response: I'm really glad that my idea for the swap is getting across :) Glad you enjoy it!
Comment: Thanks so much for the adorable Mickey and Minnie card and the postcards. Check out the Letter Writing Team at www.soldiersangels.org to write to soldiers. Merry Christmas. (I hope I'm rating for the right swap. There's wasn't a swap title.)
Response: That was the organization I was with for 10 years but when they changed things they booted me out 0_o
Comment: I hope I am rating you for the correct swap. You did not put the name of the swap anywhere. I really like the owl card and the PC'S. I Don't have any comic PC. Merry Christmas! 12/8 I just got Disney card and some postcards for you. This swap was written on the envelope. So I must have you as a partner for another swap. I will try to find it and rate you there.
Response: Awesome! It should've been on the flap of the envelope :)
Comment: Girl!!!! I am OBSESSED with the postcards that you send me. I ADORE them....Already put a few of them on the wall next to my desk so I can stare at them. And I LOVED the envelope and how it was decorated. You made my week!!! Thank you!!!
Comment: Thanks for your cheery note and extra goodies! I love those mini biblical coloring cards and have already colored one of them. :) No worries on not stamping biblical words on white paper; I love all colors and will definitely have fun using the ones you sent!!
Comment: Yummy food! All my favorites! Thanks for the good meal. Sorry it took so long to let you know. I'm scrambling to catch up after a nice visit with my brother and his wife who just moved to Chicago from Boston.
Comment: Belated thank you for the cool collage card, Kristy -- I feel a kinship with it because my parents went to school in Baltimore :) -- and for sharing with me some of your obsessions! I also love the Trader Joe's fruity popsicle sticker; I am so excited that we are finally getting one later next month after experiencing its goodness in Texas! Hope you're enjoying this Sunday!
Response: Yay! So exciting! Next month we're getting one within a 3 hour drive!! lol
Comment: Hi Kristy! How wonderful about your hubby's unexpected four day weekend! I love when fun things like that happen! Are you having fun with your iPhone? I have a 5 and my son has a 6 - his photos are way better, but for the convience you sure can't bet them!! Did you fireworks photos turn out good? Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Response: I think they've turned out better than when I used a DSLR camera lol
Comment: Thank you Kristy! I loved everything about this swap including the kraft paper envelope and cute notecard you made! I love the little die cut envies on tags that you used! Thank you for the journal cards, postcards and notecards as well!,
Comment: Hoooooray!!!! :D Thank you soooo much for the lovely kawaii goodies!! I adore all you sent, the memos are spectacular!! Such a fantastic variety! And the Tokidoki Hello Kitty flakes made my day!!!!! Thank you sooo much!! A million hearts! ^_^
Response: You're so welcome! I'm glad you like it all.
Comment: Thank you for the adorable Bambi and Thumper card! I have actually never seen it in its entirety, just excerpts. (I remember how grave the loss of Bambi's mother was.) Come to think of it, I have also never seen all of Dumbo or The Fox and the Hound! Hope you're having a good week!
Comment: Thanks for your note. I've been to Alaska, but have no taken the cruise. We visited friends who lived outside of Anchorage. My son had 3 pugs, 1 and then after he died, 2 more. They were very cute, but he got tired of all the congenital diseases, so when they died, he got a dot with a real NOSE! LOL.
Comment: Oh my goodness! I adore the goodies you sent me, especially the rilakkuma and the capuri mono stickers and tarepanda memos!! Ok, who am I kidding? I love everything! SOO adorable!! Thank you so much!
Comment: So sorry that I fell through on this one, It completely escaped my attention until I remembered about Swap-bot recently and signed myself in. I don't expect any change in rating, I did horribly.
Comment: Thank you so much for the wonderful vintage Monument Valley postcard! It's right up my alley. I love it! I appreciate you checking out my profile and sending something I'd enjoy, especially on a sender's choice swap. :)
Comment: Thank you so much for the fun postcard! Jantzen is on the Oregon border in Portland (which I love!) and I used to buy their excess bathing suit fabric for crazy costumes for my son! Your quote is so true! There is still so much beauty to see! Thank you so much!
Response: That's pretty cool! And that's one of my favorite quotes.
Comment: Hi Kristy! Love the USS Arizona Memorial pc! We are planning to travel to Hawaii in a couple of years and plan on visiting there. I am sure it will be an experience we will never forget! Sending you all the best! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Response: I hope you enjoy your trip. If you are going to Oahu you must go to Mr. Matsumotos for some delicious shave ice & Puka dog in Waikiki if you eat pork.
Comment: Thank you so much for the wonderful goodies! I love everything you've sent, and I absolutely love how you decorated the envelope! ( The little gnome stamp is fantastic! Makes me think of spring ^_^ )
Comment: I love Home Alone and Elf, although my absolute favorite Christmas movie is The Muppet Christmas Carol. It's not Christmas Eve w/o watching it. :-) Never seen A Christmas Story though... Maybe one day.
Response: Muppet Christmas carol is my husband's favorite Christmas movie :)
Comment: Thank you for all the fabulous postcards!!!!!!!!!! And thank you SO much for taking the time to read my profile and see what I would like! The one of the sailor and woman kissing is my new favorite in my collection! I think I need to frame it!!!!! Thank you so much!!
Response: Glad I could send your wants as far as postcards :)
Comment: Hey, how are you? I was just looking at all the cute penpal letters you have sent me! Thanks for the cool PC's, I like them! I love the postcard paper envelope, too! Hope all is well, Happy Holidays! = ) ♡♡♡♡♡♡
Response: Thank you..happy holidays to you as well :)
Comment: So many different kinds of postcards that I love~ Also, your envelope-decorating skills are vastly superior to my own, which makes me both happy (to receive) and jealous (that I can't do more decorating). Thank you so much!
Comment: Shenandoah National Park has always been a favorite of mine. My dad, born in 1899, was a Civil War scholar. My mom an historian. Amazing how the land goes on covering up what people do to it.
Thanks for swapping and for a marvelous card!
Comment: I like the postcard! Just a note for future postcard swaps, some people really like to read the information on the back of the postcards... Stickers are cute, but I would personally would rather know the history of it. Thanks.
Comment: It came this time, no problem. Thanks! Note: I don't give hearts to people who are rude.
Response: This swap was returned to me & stamped 'undeliverable' for whatever reasons. I sent a message KINDLY saying maybe wait the full two weeks for a swap to arrive as to not make her partners resend & she blocked me and rated me down. Pot meet kettle.
Comment: Hello Kristy,
Thank you for the 5 postcards you sent me for the Postcard Pick-Me-Up #5 Swap. I liked the variety of postcards you sent me for this swap. I will look forward to adding your postcards to my postcard collection.
Comment: First, I LOVE your address stamp. THAT is so cute and I am so jealous, haha. Second, Im so hoping you're related to Johnny Appleseed even though that seems to be the most far fetched, but man, that'd be pretty awesome.
Response: Actually that is my truth :) I got the address stamp on etsy so you could find one on there as well.
Comment: Thanks for stopping by my blog. Truck driving life is busy right now, I guess that's what I get for working for a company that delivers food. your husband's desire to drive isn't that uncommon, a large percentage of people I've met that drive are ex military. It can suck to be home alone, but if you have a flexible job, you can ride along (or drive too), and after a couple years, it's completely possible to get a local route, where you'd see your husband daily, or near daily. The pay isn't always great, but it's definitely an adventure
Comment: i really enjoyed your postcards. Thank you for the wonderful selection and for reading my profile. :) I'm a huge supporter of the military. I actually surprised my husband (then fiance) at his boot camp graduation into the marines. Thank you again for the cards i really did enjoy them :D
Response: Glad I could send something you could appreciate as well :)
Comment: Thanks so much for the card, I am hopefulling visiting Alaska next year and I hope it is this beautiful! I couldnt quite read what you wrote on the card, another word for creativity is what? :)
Comment: Haha aww, what kind of pet does he have? Mamegoma!! Oddly enough, cooler temps was one of my happy things. I love being outside, but it's just been nasty all summer! I hope you have a wonderful day and thank you so much!
Comment: So I caught the mailman again studying my postcards before putting them in the box - he was particularly interested in yours. We talked for awhile about how he used to photograph old motels in the West and your PC reminded him of doing that.
Response: Ha, thats funny! And sounds like fun..photographing old motels.
Comment: Thank you so much for the pretty card. I really liked it.It will look good with my collection of cards. Hope you are having a good summer. We are finally getting our good warm weather. Have a nice day.
Comment: Hey Kristy, yep got this one. Still never got the other, but I love this one because it's an Ansel Adams, and he's my favorite photographer. Hope the fires are out now. Haven't been keeping up with the news, so I haven't heard.
Comment: What a great envelope! It definitely stood out in the mailbox! Thank you for that first of all. These PCs are wonderful! I especially like the ones you altered. Thank you for sharing them with me! :)
Comment: Thanks for all the stickers!
I married into the name. =0) My hubby tells me there are a couple different versions. But it is pretty unique. Did people spell it ok with an "i"? No one can spell or pronounce it right it seems.
Response: Mine was spelled with a E at one point. Yeah I got plenty of the waddeling jokes in school =/
Comment: Thank you so so much for everything! I enjoy swapping with you always and would love to do another swap like this again. I absolutely love the Kawaii you selected to send to me. I fell in love with it all immediately!!!
Response: I'm glad you liked what I picked out! :)
Comment: Lol, I had fun zooming right into the contents of your drawers... I'm fascinated by the idea of 'Pumpkin Spice Latte' (here pumpkins are only really used for Jack o' lanterns and soup) and the retro pack of straws! Also loved the brightly coloured dishes on the Halloween place-mats!
Response: Ha! Too funny...in the US you can get pumpkin to make all sorts of stuff. Its yummy!
Comment: Thanks for doing this swap with and for me..I love thrift store finds too and SNOW? sssshhhhhh... I am not ready for that yet. I couldn't read the #1 because of the postage ink they slapped all across the PC... Again, thanks for swapping with me and giving me the chance....Take Care
Response: :) There's more snow in the forecast in a few days!
Comment: I am SO insanely jelous of your craft room! It kinda reminds of pictures i saw of Janets office from Janetstore.com lol all the kawaii stuff and boxes and baskets of treasure >_< I'm SO stealing your awesome deco tape storage solutions lol ;-)
Thanks for sharing!! xxx
Response: I would love to see her space! Do steal the idea, I love it even if it is my own idea lol
Comment: Hello Kristy from Colo Springs! Thanks very much for the OKC Memorial PC--love it and it's my first from that site. My Dad was from COS and grew up on N. Nevada Ave., and went to Colorado College as well! take care, Carol in Denver
Response: Wow! I'm about 1/4 a mile from N. Nevada :D
Comment: Cute notecard! IKEA can take a good chunk of time to explore. We have one here in Pittsburgh and I usually go now with a list and I stick to it so I don't spend more than I should. It is worse that shopping at a grocery store when hungry ... I'm ALWAYS hungry for more storage!
Comment: Thank you for ALL the butttons! I love the wood ones! And the extra paper buttons are really cool! I love the little envelopes you made that were taped up with "button" tape! So cute and thoughtful!
Response: I'm glad you like all the themed stuff, ha :D
Comment: Thanks for the inspiring quote, and for dolling up your PC with Hello Kitty stickers. I think if she'd lived, Anne F. would most certainly be a fan! Lovely address stamp as well. I love owls ;) Take care
Comment: I love this postcard and quote! That from Anne Frank is something I've remembered over the years since studying her as a kid. (I love your stamp, too! Can you tell me where you got your return address stamp?)
Response: They are sold on Etsy :D Just look up return address stamps! I think there might be some that are made better than mine as mine isn't mounted.
