Comment: Thanks June for the 5 boat "ship" PC! Lol! I really like the card, it reminds me of a watercolor painting. And I'm trying to practice watercolors. I'm excited for you that you finished your granddaughter's quilt. I appreciate how much work goes into making one! Aren't grandkids just GREAT?!! 😊
Comment: Thanks for the nice note - we drove from Georgia to Wisconsin one January and the car collected so much ice, we had to stop every 20 minutes to break the ice off the wipers. Not fun. I would prefer snow, too. I have trouble finding postcards around here, too. Sometimes I just take photos and put a postcard back on them. They look pretty good, if I do say so myself! Thanks for the postcard!!!
Comment: I liked the card you sent, but I know what you mean about just not liking a card. The person I sent my "ugly" card to liked it, so it's nice everyone likes different things. You also solved a mystery for me - whether the post office will deliver cards with round corners. Yes, they will. Thank you!
Comment: Hello Jane,
Thank you for the intricate page to color for this swap. I love it! It is causing me to get out more of gel pens to do more of the intricate work . I am enjoying adding to this piece. Thank you for sending. this notecard..
Comment: I have 3 cats and 3 dogs all rescues so I know what you mean, some days I wish I would find another kitten out there to bring home but thankfully my city has a law so I cant have more right now :)
Comment: Thanks so much for the sweet inspiration cards. I am very honored to receive your very first attempts at ATCs! I recall when I started -- it is a slightly challenging format but the more you do the easier they become. I love the two you made for me. The pineapple card makes me smile. And I love the quote and critters on the "Not Lost" card. Thanks for joining my swap and hope to swap with you again soon. Enjoy nature!! <3<3<3 (**And oh my goodness -- that vintage bunny Current card is an amazing blast from my past. I will save him in my special cards scrapbook!)
Response: Whew !!!! I did good ??? I was so worried. Glad to hear that you liked the Current card. I've bought Current for many years. Even sold it at work. So much that I still have some of the older things left. I just loved these animal cards. Too bad they've gotten so expensive. I still do order some of the after Christmas sale items.
Comment: I'm so sorry for the incredibly late rating! December was a very hectic time and January came, class started and this just got away from me! The card was great and the extra bonus was so sweet! Thank you so much!
Comment: Hello June,
Thank you for the nice work you did on this postcard. I look forward to adding
to the postcard that is collab one. Thank you also for the extra coloring postcard you sent along that I will add to my selection of postcards to color. I appreciate your very nice note that you sent too.
Comment: Thanks for a wonderful swap. You put alot of thought into it. Love all the special things you sent, snowman is adorable. Key chain teddy. Love it!!! I can use each item!!!!!
Response: So glad you liked it. Was so much fun searching for everything. I really wanted to keep the Teddy key chain but the store only had one !! I do have a snowman just like the one I sent. Such a fun swap !!!!!!
Comment: Thank you for the card and note. I used to buy from Current but I haven't in years. Every so often I will run across something I bought from there. I remember one set of PCs that had a recipe for Snickerdoodles. One of them is in my recipe box.
Comment: Thank you so much for the cards and your lovely note! I have the same Skippyjon Jones cards - first time I've seen someone else use them! I agree with you - weather as of late is perfect for a cat, tea, and a book!!
Comment: Thank you for the card to color and pass on I have done a little coloring during the holidays but not a lot. I actually got some new coloring books. One I bought a bunch of and gave as Christmas presents. With a set of gel pens for all the girls in my family except for the 2 great grand daughters. I have enjoyed seeing their posts on facebook of what they have colored.
Comment: Thank you for the great cards. I will enjoy using them next year. We had a little snow on Christmas Eve morning. But lucky didn't stay on roads as we had to go the the far side of KC to see granddaughter and her family on Christmas Day.
Comment: Thank you for the pretty bouquet of flowers. I’m with you, snow should only be for Christmas and that’s it, should be gone before the new year. Our temperatures dropped as well from the plus straight down to the -30’s, and I could be rid of that quickly too. Seriously, really what I need is to move to a very warm country that doesn’t have any this type of weather and then if I missed it I could just come back to visit family and be reminded of it and leave the country side again 😀. The best to you and your family in 2018.
Comment: June, you surely outdid yourself sending me your excess cards. I got over 200 Christmas cards, displayed them in a pretty decorated basket. I do not have any archways in my hime to display them like you. We are also going to get cold but not like you. Happy belated Christmas. Shirley
Comment: Thank you for the lovely card and your note too! I agree, it is a shame not to use these cards so I was happy to sign up for this swap. It looks like we may have a white Christmas here in Connecticut, what about you?
Comment: Thank you so much for the beautiful cardinal card and your cheery letter! I would love to do a theme tree one year too! This year I went a little light on the ornaments because of the two new kitties in the house who are very interested in the tree, among other things. I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas and all best wishes for a bright new year!
Comment: The area looks absolutely beautiful! Just a reminder, you sent the Stonefield, Cassville, Wisconsin PC. You wrote it’s just across the Mississippi River, I’m wondering if it floods a lot because the land looks pretty low so I’m curious. But WOW it looks like absolutely beautiful country, I can imagine the fishing and camping would be great. Thank you
Comment: Thank you for the snowman and the lovely letter. Good luck to your husband as he recuperates. And you take care of yourself, too. And use those ornaments! Enjoy them all season long! Merry Christmas!
Comment: Merry Christmas! Thank you for the cute cat card and the little elf note papers. I also enjoyed the letter. I agree with you about the ornaments - it is better to enjoy them than to 'save' them boxed up!
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful Christmas card and long handwritten letter. I agree, not as many people send cards nowadays. I started to notice a decline about 10 years ago. Thank goodness for this site.
Comment: Such a cute card! Thank you. And thank you such a nice letter to go with it. You're right, hardly anyone bothers with Christmas Cards anymore. I also joined quite a few swaps so I could fill my wall full of cheer. It's my first year without hubby so I so appreciate all the wonderful cards and wishes, such as yours. Merry Christmas to you!
Comment: What a wonderful package of cat love! Thank you!!! Donovan will enjoy the toys, Hendrix will love the treats. The socks are adorable. Your letter is my favorite part of the package! I enjoyed reading all about your babies and how your Christmas preparations are coming along. I wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy 2018!
Comment: Thank you very much for the PC June I‘ve never been to Nevada either .I loved this swap because I have too many postcards and this is a fun way to keep them moving I would still have too many cards,, but they will be written with interesting messages from other swappers We had some snow for a couple of days here in SC also
Comment: Wow! Thank you for the lovely card, awesome letter, & beautiful ornament. You really went above & beyond!!! Of give you 10 hearts if I could!!! Merry Christmas!!!
P.S. If you don't mind I think I'd like to write back to you.
Response: Thank you for the heart. Glad you liked what I sent. I would love to have you write. I love writing letters and miss some of the penpals I have written to in the past. Happy Holidays.
Comment: Thank you so much for the wonderful letter and ornament! The card was very nice also! I just don't have time to sit down and write such nice letters yet. Between working and baking and making as many gifts as possible, there just isn't enough time in the day! Thanks for joining my swap and Happy swapping to you.....
Response: Thanks for the heart. The only reason I can write letters is because of my retirement. I highly recommend it to everyone. Happy Holidays
Comment: Thank you very much!! You gave up cards from your family albums with written notes? 2 and 4 cents postage, oh my!
Response: Glad you liked them. My Mom had so many albums full of post cards. She collected for years. I'm not that much into them and our family is very small. No one wanted them. So enjoy them because I have LOTS more.
Comment: June, thank you for the Christmas card and your wonderful letter. I agree about the snow, we moved from MA to NC to get away from it after I fell and broke my femur bone completely in half. It happened on Christmas Eve and I was on the operating table Christmas Day. That one Christmas I won't forget. Shirley
Comment: Hi June! Thank you so much for the lovely postcard from the Texas Quilt Museum! I honestly didn't know where this is located so I looked it up and it's in La Grange which actually isn't extremely far from me! Maybe that is something I can do one Saturday--I bet they're really beautiful!
Comment: Thank you. I enjoyed your letter. You sound a lot like me, I like a real tree for Christmas because it makes the house smell nice and when I do a thorough cleaning in the summertime and find a needle or two it makes me smile. I don’t write a lot in my cards because my hands hurt from writing making the letter messy so it. I’m a bit old fashioned in many ways. I especially like the old ornaments that are three dimensional with little figurines in them. I don’t have many but I’m slowly find more at flea markets. I save all my cards and will save you letter too. Merry Christmas.
Response: Thank you for the heart. I also will find pine needles well into the year. No matter how well you try to clean them up some will escape. Merry Christmas.
Comment: Thank you for sending me this flower card to color on and send on. Also thank you for the note your sent. I don't do much decorating but I do like to have my 2 little fake trees with so many ornaments from many swaps over the last 20 years. Also my son lives next door and he love to do outside decorations so I get to see his.
Comment: Dear June,
Thank you so much for the postcard! It looks really interesting! It is so cool to hear that you were on a motorcycle trip! I hope that you had a nice Thanksgiving and happy holidays!
Comment: Hi June! I am so sorry for the late rating - your mail got buried on my desk - oops! I knew I had it but could not remember where I put it - yikes! Thanks so much for your nice note and I hope your hubby is doing better! Will get this pc colored and sent home! Love the stickers as well! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Wow June, thank you so much, especially for your story of the Bridge of Maddison County. I loved your package and thank you so much for all the pictures and your letter about all of them. Wish you all the best 😘😘😘😘
Comment: Hi June, This card (birds) was so neat. I want to order some from this artist. I colored it yesterday, the day I received it. LOL It was such fun. Thanks also for the sticky spider and cute envelope with him on it. Have a nice weekend. Thanks for the letter I enjoyed reading about what you have been doing. Here in southern Illinois it went form 77 for a high to 44 for a high today, yesterday was 77, crazy weather!!
Comment: I love butterflies so this postcard will be super fun to color in. Thanks so much for the extra goodies. Its like you knew what upcoming swaps I had because I can use alot of these items. Thanks bunches!
Comment: You are now my favorite person on the planet! This was the coolest idea! I'm planting some of the seeds, I absolutely love how you did this and the things you sent! Nope, I have no idea what #19 is either, but it's cool looking....I might use it on an ATC or something! Thank you so very much! You're the BEST EVER!
Comment: Thanks so much for all the menus and your nice letter. You had the same idea I did, writing up a review of them all and printing it out. I liked the history too. I feel like I took a little trip to Iowa! Your neighbors are lucky to be getting fresh walnuts. If you lived near me I share my limes with you. Happy swapping!
Response: I love lime anything !!! I'd be glad to trade.
Comment: Hi June, Loving this Rainbow card to color. Thanks so much for the recipe. I will have to try it. I make a pumpkin bread with chocolate chips, my favorite!! Thanks for the note and the kitty on the outside of the envelope!! :)
Comment: Hello June,
Thank you for the beautiful postcard you started for this "Collab Coloring PC" Swap. I loved the colors you used and I love the use of colored pencils. I look forward to coloring the next area and doing as nice a job as you did. I hope I get to swap with you again in the future.
P.S. Thank you also for the coloring postcard. I will add it to my supply. As well, T appreciate the notecard you sent along Of Main Street.
Comment: thanks for the card. It is looking nice. I will be sending it on to its owner shortly. I know it is frustrating when your card never returns. I have had more than a few things get "lost" along the way. Have a great week.
Comment: Hi June!
I had to laugh when I saw your postcard! I'm right next door in Nebraska! In fact, I've been to Winterset.. what a cute little town! And, I love that they still have a Ben Franklin! How lucky you are to have met the author of Bridges..! I'm envious. It's such a beautiful saga of love, loneliness, life, and human nature. I am taking my mum to Pella next weekend. She's never seen the Windmill there. And I may bring her to Maytag for some blue cheese on the way home :-). Thank you so much for the Postcard! I don't actually have a "bridges" one in my collection! :-)
Comment: Hi June, Thank you so much for all the goodies. I can't believe you live so far away from a dollar store but you picked out great stuff. I haven't seen some of these items at my dollar store so it was a fun surprise to get so many different and new things. Thank you for your note too: it made it very personal! Great package!
Response: Glad you liked what I sent. The Bingo sheets weren't from the $ store but something I've had for quite awhile. Just knew I had to send them to you since your profile says you like Bingo items. I'm not a big Bingo fan. Enjoy. june -gizmodust-
Comment: Thanks for sharing, my husband is from Ceder Falls, Iowa. He enjoyed the pictures too. We joke around about frogs. I have a frog planter on the deck a little bigger than a balling ball and painted different colors from Mexico I am sure..
Response: Glad you enjoyed the photos. Cedar Falls is just down the road. We go there for shopping and they have some wonderful places to eat.
Comment: Thanks for the patches and wonderful letter. I am in the Florida Key. It is really hot here too. We are in the water almost every day. The bay and ocean are both like bath water. Even if you are not in the ocean you are as wet as if you were with 80 to 90% humidity.
Comment: Thank you for the squares -- it's been quite a while since we were in swap partners. I'm glad I'm not enduring Iowa weather although my summer has been very changeable. Chilly with rain all day today. And so many people come here or time at the beach. Sad
Comment: Wow, I'm sure glad the design you sent isn't TOO complicated!! I am kind of new at coloring for fun so was a wee bit worried about what was heading my way. Yes, you should enter things in the fair. That seems to be a dying art. Thanks for the nice note. Hope you received something fun, too. Karen
Comment: Thanks so much for the postcard. It is fun to match yours that are on the line. Hope I do a good job. This has been a fun series.
We got that 90+ weather Monday and Tuesday. Today is cooler, but humid. Have a great Iowa summer!
Comment: Thank you for the tags and the lovely letter bday buddy! My name is not June but my bday is 6/7/89 haha. I also only have 1 brother, wish I grew up on a farm, and had a collie but he was a boy we adopted named Charlie. Close haha. Your home sounds lovely! We have a rainy season here and we need it! I love thunder storms! Thanks again and have a happy bday bday buddy!!!
Response: Think there must be something about June 7th birthdays because I love to watch thunder storms too. They never scare me.
Comment: Thanks so much June! I very much enjoyed learning about you. It was so thoughtful and we have a lot in common! I hope to do future swaps with you and I'm glad you're back to it! I hope your birthday is just as wonderful as you are. 😀
Comment: Oh, how cute! I love them and all the cute items you filled them with! I couldn't believe you got the whole lace collar in one and closed it. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I wish I could give extra hearts.
Comment: Thank you for the recipes. I have tried something very similar or possibly the same oyster cracker snack and liked it so I'm glad I have the recipe now! Your cabbage stew recipe is also a lot like what I make in my slow cooker, but I use corned beef brisket and add turnips if they're available. Thanks for the nice note; I enjoyed reading it!
Response: Your slow cooker recipe sounds good. I love using turnips and rutabaga's too.
Comment: WOW...I am speechless...WOW. All I can say is THANK YOU so much for your awesome and heartwarming post. I love every piece of it....wow...Now I am waiting for spring to have a picnic in the fresh green grass. Oh how lovely. By the way you are more than welcome to join – just get your teleporter ready. :) June, have a wonderful 2017 with lots of time in green and a blue sky! :)
Comment: Dear June, thank you for the cute postcard and heartfelt words. Almost made me teary eyed (I get sentimental during the holidays!) We have plenty of snow here, I'd share if I could :) But maybe you wouldn't enjoy it as much as I do. Anyway, I hope you're enjoying the holiday season! All the best to you and your family!
Comment: June, thank you for the Christmas card and your note. No big tree for me either this year. was hoping to put it up, but my back pain is just to bad. A Charlie Brown tree in the Carolina room and a Turquoise and pink little one in the living room is doing it. Shirley
Comment: Frosty Greetings from Illinois, where it is a balmy 35 degrees and down in the low 20s tonight. Brrrrr! You just keep all your snow right there with you:-) I enjoy a good snow storm myself. And baking too. I'm making a few of my grandmother's cookie recipes. To take with when we go to Texas for Christmas at my sisters. At least we' ll be traveling to southern temperaturesâ„ï¸ I so enjoyed reading your letter:-)
Thank you for rating🌲
Merry Christmas and a happy new year of swaps:-)
Comment: What an amazing treasure you sent with the beautiful card, Christmas wish, and wonderful letter. Thank you so much June. Truly meant a lot, that you took the time and especially that it came from the heart. Happy Holidays, Sandy
Response: Glad you enjoyed it. I love to write letters always put one in all my Christmas cards. Some people grumble about Christmas letters but I've always loved them. Just a way to share Christmas Love.
Comment: Hi Just ne, thank you for the polar bear card. Hope you have a wonderful has.iday season! Congratulation on the remodel. It will be worth it when it's done. I know how to enjoy the baked treats of others, as I seem to be doing less every year. I still do a gingerbread house though, just mostly for the fun and as decoration.
Comment: Thank you for everything I live the yellow sock I put them on as soon as I open the package it made my day. We have a couple of cats that love to talk and some days I do wish i could understand them most of the times it feed me or pet me. Lol. I also love the doilies and I'm hoping next year I can try to teach myself too sew I'm hoping for Christmas that I can get a sewing machine if not I have a birthday in January usually I just combined both into one gift most of the things we get during the holidays always go to the kids they always come frist. thanks again for everything thanks again for everything.
Response: You've just got to love those soft, fuzzy socks !! Glad you liked my choices. Enjoy.
Comment: Thank you for the card and note. My Granddaughter got me started with the adult coloring books last Christmas then I got a few more to have when I had my knee surgery and now I have got into doing the postcards also.
Comment: June, thank you so much for the 2 orange FQs and matching buttons. Also for taking time to write me your lovely note. It is making me homesick to Massachusetts and they do not have the apple orchards or the pumpkin patches where we live in North Carolina. It was favorite time of the year. Shirley
Comment: Thanks for the beautiful card! I might have to steal that idea of inserting an extra sheet of paper, too! It sounds like you had an eventful summer. I'd love to go up in a hot air balloon--I hope you get to do it sometime! I'm glad your back is all better. Good luck getting the house remodeled!
Comment: Thank you for sharing a moment of your day with me, June -- sounds pretty fantastic indeed :) I always love when my cats are curious and snuggle up to my lap (or laptop, haha). Thank you also for the beautiful Biltmore Hotel bathroom -- I have always, always wanted a claw-foot tub. Happy Thursday!
Comment: I love the fabrics you chose. The "Greetings From Iowa" is the cutest. I know about warm weather. 87-88 has been our overnight low lately. We finally started getting a little rain a couple of days ago and so our high today was 89. It's nice when you can breathe.
Thank you so much!
Comment: WOW!!! You went above and BEYOND with your swap!!! It's amazing! I love the clippings and you packaged it all so very nicely! I can't believe you were able to find clippings from all 20 categories! AMAZING swap! Thank you sooo much! :D
Response: So glad you liked it. I'm the kind of person that will try to complete all 20 categories. Makes it a challenge. I had fun with it but was so worried because it was the first swap of this type that I've done.
Comment: Great PC and note - I love our small town life in Sandwich. I do venture into big cities, but love getting back home. I have 2 fur babies (dachshunds) that are spoiled as well - they make us happy/laugh everyday so they deserve it ;-) Happy 4th of July. Take care, Annette
Comment: Thanks so much for the birthday goodies! I love the vintage Valentine's Day cards and postcard! That was very thoughtful/kind of you to send!!! The charms are cute as well! They definitely brightened my day! I hope you have a wonderful birthday as well!!!
Comment: Thank you so much for the darling owl bookmark! You did such a fabulous job. There's no need for a "back" on it because your stitches are perfect! Love it so much and will use it often. Thanks.
Comment: I love you postalette, they're getting impossible to find around here anymore. My brother-in-law moved to Dallas after 65 years in NJ and is very glad he did. Moving from CA to Iowa would be a culture shock, especially with the weather. I'm a country gal at heart also, even though the big city has grown to hem me in. I enjoyed you letter, thanks.
Comment: Fairy catcher, furry bracelet, magic towel, green octopus-type pen, and candy spaghetti! OH MY! lol how fun! Hope you had fun with this swap, thanks for joining up. Hope you get good news on your back. Sorry to hear about that. Take care and merry xmas :)
Comment: What a pleasure to read your notes from your cemetery travels! Your cemetery looks like it has a lot of unusual stones. I looked up the young man with the horseshoe marker on FindAGrave. The stone really shows what was important in his life. I like the pinkish rustic stone too. And the story about Mr. Cullen was intriguing. We have cemetery tours here too but I have not yet been able to entice anyone to go. Thank you for the virtual tour of your cemetery!
Response: Glad you enjoyed the pictures. I'll go with you to the cemetery tour ----too bad you live so far away !!!!
Comment: I wish I could give you more hearts! You totally made my day with all the cute woodland goodies! I love the owl, the hedgehog & the bunny so much! The notecards were also very pretty! Thank you & happy autumn to you!
Comment: Hello dear June! Thank you for the beautiful postcard from Iowa you sent me! Summer is having a hard time arriving around here - it is still 50°F outside. How lovely it is to have 5 kitties! We have a yellow one named Theo that loves to sleep inside the fireplace! I wish you and your family all the best with the new baby and hope you're feeling better by now!
Comment: Hi June I received your parcel and just loved all of my little piggies. I was so excited when I received them - they are absolutely adorable. I'm working on a letter to you now. Hope we swap again sometime. Pat
Comment: Thanks kindly for the pink print fat quarter and the pink clip-on light (wow!) I can definitely use both things. I enjoyed your note, too. It gave me a glimpse into who gizmodust is. :-) Happy swapping, June!
Comment: Many hearts to you for the great card and note. I really enjoyed reading your note. No one will go with me to the Haunted House either! They say it's for kids--hmm. Hope your back gets better soon and that the doctor was helpful. ((^.^))
Response: Too bad you live so far away. We could go to the Haunted House together.
Comment: Thanks so much for the cute card and kind letter! I hand out pretzels and fruit snacks, sometimes granola bars if I find a sale -- the kids sometimes get excited because they think that their parents will let them eat them in their lunches. They used to get erasers, which was more hit or miss :) I made butternut squash chocolate cake in my cooking spree lately. Hope that you are feeling in fine Halloween form!
Comment: This card is supernice, and it does glow in the dark!! So cool :D and thank you for the note, we do't celebrate Halloween in Finland (which is such a shame!) but it's totally my favorite holiday :) oh, and the little bats are so cute, I'm in love! Thank you, and happy Halloween!
Comment: Thanks for the great lists. I've always wanted to go to Germany! And I read IT when I was about 11 and hated it, hahaha. So many unneeded words! Perhaps I would have liked it if I had read it as an adult. :)
Comment: Thank you for the great baggie of Christmas items. The handmade card "on dancer, prancer, master and visa" is very clever! I also enjoyed reading the lovely note you sent, I hope your gardening is nearly finished so you can sit back and enjoy the cool fall weather!
Comment: Thanks so much for the great postcard. Hope you are feeling better. We're having a festival in a couple of weeks. Lots of crafts etc for sale along with children's old fashioned games.
I received the lost postcard from Mason City, IA with a nice note :)
Comment: June, thank you for the postcard. I really thought this one was a really fun swap. Shirley I am thoroughly confused with this postcard from you. Received postcard with 2 cats on it. The date was 1/20/2016 and it was found in Hobby Lobby in Mason City, IA. Mailed April 23. Can you put some light on it for me? Shirley
Comment: Your unlost PC arrived thank you. I will let you know if I get the lost one. 10/17/15 I got your LOST postcard. AND they left a note. It was the bunny card left at bookworld in Mason City Iowa. Thanks for both.
Comment: Oh wow I loved everything the pigs were so very adorable I'm going to make me a toaster cover and coffee maker cover thank s do very much you deserve many stars and hearts loved your letter I hsve 4 cats love to be pin pals
Response: Glad to hear you liked the "piggies" You just never know--some people might not be too impressed. I think it's the cutest fabric ever.
Comment: Thank you so much for the lovely letter and the wonderful swap! Both my partners in this swap have been so awesome! I love the cookbook as I actually collect older cookbooks. It is lovely that you used the same one when you were married, I can't want to try out some recipes! And the Ant.... You have No IDEA how much I love her! That is the cutest thing I have ever seen!!! I have her sitting next to my formicariums (fancy term for fancy ant farms). She will be treasured!!!hapoy swapping and thanks again, I'd give you ten hearts If I could!
Comment: Hi June! A friend and I visited MOA in May and took a photo of Waterloo,Iowa on the way back! LOL! So glad you are having nice weather - ours keeps changing, one week it is nice and the next hotter than all get out - looking forward to real fall weather but not so much winter - yikes! How's the crib quilt going? Yes, babies come when they want, not always when its convenient! LOL! Good for you on starting your Christmas shopping - I am clueless this year, so... But I am sure everyone will let me know later than sooner! LOL! Thanks so much for the nice flower pc and your note - I really enjoyed reading it! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful postcard!☺I like the idea of placing money inside each balloon. Hmmmm......I am going to do just that for a birthday celebration I will be attending later this week.
Response: The balloons were a big hit at this new teenager's party. Everyone was laughing watching him try to POP each balloon. Glad you liked the idea.
Comment: I just returned home from holiday and your swap (and three others) were waiting for me. It was like it was my birthday:). Thanks very much for the pretty blue fq, and cute note cards! I especially enjoyed your note which I read with my morning tea. We have done well for weather here and I can see my tomato plants are doing fabulously and raspberries are nearly ready. (Thanks to my kind neighbours for watering through the 90 degree weather). Thanks so much for a lovely swap! I hope the fixer upper remains FUN!
Comment: I really appreciated the note you sent with my package. I love the fair too! I have been enjoying some yummy corn this summer too. I served it most recently with jalapeno honey butter. It was super yum! The little book light is so cute and I love the socks too! Thank you.
Comment: Thanks for the recipes and extra recipe cards. I enjoyed your letter! Guess what my mom collects giraffes too! Oh, and my dad rebuilt a Harley and a Kawasaki. Nice coincidences on hobbies between our families! Have a lovely weekend! Happy swapping!
Response: Giraffes are the best !!! I've got them all over my house.
Comment: Thank you for the nice Iowa card. It's relaxing to live in a peaceful place. Living in a big city is stressful. I know! I look forward to getting out of traffic in the summer and going to a smaller town/rural for a couple of days.
Comment: Dearest June, thank you so very much for this lovely birthday package: I don't know if I'll manage to leave it unopened till my birthday, but I already have plans on how to recycle the lovely paper you used to wrap it ;-) It was great to read about your life in Iowa and what you usually do on your birthday. By the way, have a great one tomorrow! xo xo
Comment: Hi June! I just realized your name is that of our birth month lol! Thank you so much for the birthday card and lovely note! The card was so funny and cute. I also enjoyed reading a little about you and your kitties. I hope your birthday is filled with lots of love! Take care. :)
Comment: Thank you so much for the card and the lovely magnets. I love them! We did get some storms down here but nothing like other parts of the state. We were lucky. I can't believe it's still in the 50s there. We've been in the 90s for weeks. I hope your whoopie pies came out great :) Pet all your kitties for me and Happy Birthday!
Comment: Sorry , I thought I'd rated this last week but it doesn't look like it took:( Thanks so much for a very lovely swap!! May I say that i just LOVE the wood grain FQ. Thanks so very much! The pins and needles will all come in handy too!!

Comment: Thank you for the pretty card & letter. It's been a sad fall/winter for our family this year. We've lost 4 since Oct. I've tried to make it cheerful for the Grandkids. Have a Great Christmas & New Years!
Comment: Thank you June for your lovely card and letter. I had to laugh about what you wrote about your cat sitting on your lap. I also have that kind of jealous cat at home who loves to lay all across a letter so that I can't continue writing. Cats are really the bosses of everything.
Wishing you a wonderful Christmas time!!
Response: Aren't cats wonderful ?? Mine have their stockings hung waiting for Christma
Comment: Thanks for the cute card. Thanks for the ornament. Today (22nd) is grey and rainy. Supposed to rain up until Wed. afternoon. Maybe a thunder storm thrown in. I joined a bunch of swaps. Got lots of cards. Fun time of year.
Comment: Love the Cardinal card and ornament. Loved reading your letter. Want to pen- pal, we have things in common. Let me know.
Response: Thanks for asking me to be a penpal. Would love that. I've had a couple of others start this but just quit writing after a little while. I'll message you but not until after the holidays !!! O.K ????

P.S. If you ever want to try your hand at ATCs, I would be willing to do a private swap with you for practice. :)
Response: Glad you liked it. I just might take you up on your offer of a private swap. I do want to try an ATC. After the holidays.
Comment: Thank you thank you for the inclusion letter. I love getting more than just a hiya note. And the card is very pretty! I hung the little ornament on my lamp above my desk to remind me of a kind swapper! Thank you ever so much.
Response: Glad you liked it. Your comment made me so happy. I love to write letters.
Comment: Thank you for the wonderful snow card and beautiful ornament! I feel bad now, that I didn't send out little gifts. But am on Disability and hard to do this with all cards & such. Thank you too for your nice letter. I enjoyed reading it!
Response: Glad you enjoyed it. I found a whole box of these ornaments at a thrift shop for $3.00. Was thrilled because I thought they could slip inside a card so nicely.
Comment: Hi June, I was so delighted to get your card, letter and the beautiful ornament. You are a busy woman, the holidays haven't stopped you a bit. Thanks for sharing a bit of your day with me. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and may your days be merry and bright!
Comment: It was awesome to receive my first bit of swap-bot mail today. Thank you for the creative format, pretty envelope and little note. That was very sweet of you. I hope our swapping paths cross again!
Comment: June ~ I am so sorry this rating is late! Funny story ~ I broke my leg on April 7, 2014, really bad. Well that's not the funny part. In late Feb. I planet @70 tomato plants by seeds and had big, big plans this year. I bought lots of BELL mason jars so when my tomato's can in I was going to make sauce, lots of sauce and freeze them. They were doing really good and yup I went and broke my leg. My husband just couldn't do it all~ taking care of the kids, me and the house and still work so the tomato's went on the back burner! I was so sad, but there is always next year. I have only been out of the cast and walking a few weeks, so I am trying to catch up on everything. Thank you so very much for the fabulous fabric, I love it and the buttons and Ric Rac! I really enjoyed your letter so much, love to hear what everyone is doing! The fabric is folded just like they fold the American flag. Both our younger sons are Scouts and I have seen it done a hundred times and I could see it another 100 times! June ~ thank you again for a wonderful swap! XO Kelly :)
Comment: Thanks so much for the gorgeous FQ (Love the print and the colour!) and the rickrack...also LOVE it:) and most of all thanks so much for your lovely letter!! I am jealous of your garden. You've reminded me I need to see about finding some green tomatoes for making Chow Chow relish, and green tomato mincemeat ...
Comment: Hello! I received your 9 patch today, I like them, expecially the purple one. I think I love to taste your big huge tomato, mmmm!
Sorry for my bad English, thank you and make a big hug to Tipper! (I have 3 cats! )
Comment: What an awesome package of goodies! I especially love the skeleton and bracelet and the fancy brads! My daughter stole the Pig game immediately. I'd have to say the picture of Boo is my favorite thing tho, he looks just like my Batty when he was little! Going on my fridge, LOL. Oh, and I was very happy to have a new package of tissues for my purse! :OD Thanks a bunch!
Comment: You went way above and beyond - what a thrill to open your package of surprises so thoughtfully chosen to match my interests! I don't have either of those darling Golden books - and one is by Richard Scary, one of my favorite illustrators! Wonderful postcards and you even sent me the tulips I've been missing from growing up in Illinois: I learned to count to 1000 when I was 5 by counting our tulips with my dad! Thanks for all the items in my jumbo package and the interesting personal note! You really spoiled me and made my day!
Comment: Ohhhh, I just adore the fabric, trim, and vintage ric-rac you sent! Thank you very much. It is so sweet how your shop there folds the fat quarters. I'm hoping to unfold the one you sent carefully in an attempt to learn the fold. And thank you, too, for the sweet note, which I very much enjoyed reading. It's always an added bonus for me to learn a bit about my partner. Happy swapping!
Comment: Thanks for the quilt blocks! They're lovely, and they have such a cozy country feel. I particularly like the reddish floral one.
Your note was sweet, too. I wish I wasn't stuck in the city. I'd give my left leg to own a produce stand and have a big garden. It sounds like you appreciate what you have, too. :)
Comment: Thanx for sharing your wonderful email & photos. I loved them both! I loved the new term: "fur babies". :-) You are right Nitty Gritty Dirt Band is a blast from the past. I enjoyed having you as a partner.
Comment: Thank you for the mail! I loved all the pictures of your kitties. I have several of my own. I used to travel a lot to the midwest (illinois) and I really liked staying in the small towns. It's pretty calm and beautiful. Thank you again! xoxo-M
Comment: Thank you for the "bit of history" post card..I like this kind of stuff alot....What fun to run a little produce stand....Thats cool--the taking turns part!!!! Thank you for my from everwhere card!! hugs 'n ♥♥♥
Comment: Thank you June, it was really interesting to read, because I think our lives are so different. Where did you live in Germany?
If you want to, I could send you my answers, too?
Response: I would love to read your answers. Thanks for offering. In Germany I lived in Lampertheim and then moved to near Goppingen. Loved it there. Just seemed more relaxed then here. One thing I remembered most was how on Saturday's everyone would go out and sweep their curbs. I saw a few things that could save this country money if we would do the same.
Comment: Ooooooh, looks so nice! Everything is wrapped in nice paper, can't wait to open. I'll let you know when I opened all the gifts. Thank you so much! Update: loved it all! Very nice Paris fabric, beautiful booklet, you choose with care, love it!
Comment: Oh my, I just don´t know where to start... A HUGE HUG AND THANK YOU for the amazing package :)! I just couldn´t believe my eyes when I saw everything you sent me. Those Graphic45-papers are something I´ve been drooling over for a long time, but they are hard to get here and now you sent me soooo many. And that bookmark is super fun and cool! And those ATC-cards and all the other stuff, wow, I LOVE everything! And most of all, you paid a huge postage for all this!!! I´d give you ten more hearts if I could, but now I can only say thank you once again for making my day :D! You´re the best!
Comment: Thank you so much for the card from Iowa City. I have never been out that way, but I hope to visit every state one day. I appreciate the note you wrote on your card also. I hope you have a great day :)
Comment: Very cool book markers, my dad tried to steal the spatula one once I showed him. And the cow related goodies made my day. Its very cool when swappers read profiles before sending and its made just for them. If I could give you more than one heart for this swap I would. :)
Comment: June, thank you for all the beautiful flower goodies, they are so pretty! I particularly love the sunflower buttons, they are perfect for a project I am doing. Thank you for the lovely note too, our tomatoes are just starting to flower, so we should have a good crop. Buffit is absolutely gorgeous-so fluffy!
Response: So glad you could use the buttons. There are a lot of pretty ones available.
Comment: Thank you for the Mason City, Iowa PC of the Stockman House. I do love the architecture and am fascinated by the house he designed with the waterfall.
Spring/Summer is here also- 90 degrees this weekend. I did get my tomatoes/cucumbers/zuchinni planted for Mother's Day:-)
Comment: June your block is beautiful and you should have no doubt that your partners will be PLEASED. Thank you so much for the ribbon you included. (It brought a wonderful warm fuzzy.♥♥) I enjoyed your note and hope that we cross paths in several more swaps. Thank you again.
Comment: Hi June! What a lovely card you sent me! Your day out with your daughter-in-law sounded so amazing, I wish I was there! You don't find those types of garage sales in the city. We have too much going on and they're usually called street fairs but rarely with any bargains. :( Your day seemed like a fun and simple day! What a great way to start the spring!
Comment: thank you june for the lovely blocks. i'm sorry i was sick and didn't get this rated sooner. i love the colors you chose and will enjoy using them in my quilt at the end of the year. I really enjoyed reading your long note to me and hope we can be partners again soon. Thanks so much.
Response: Glad you liked the blocks. To think something that I made will be in a quilt so far away.
Comment: Thanks for the great postcards, photos (I love the one with the Coca Cola machine), and stamps! The items are great but I especially love the note you included -- your writing is so vivid and "chatty"/personal -- it feels like reading a letter from an old friend. (And I remember you mentioning your kitty in another swap where we were paired!) Thanks again for a wonderful swap. :-)
Comment: when I opened your box the first thing I was Crayola! I told my husband someone sent me crayons! he just looked at me. lol when I read your letter we do sound like twins! I have always loved giraffes and children. I'l like to keep in touch if that would be ok with you? I just loved all the things you tucked inside even the newspaper. thank you so much for the thoughtful gift.
Comment: Thanks for the blocks and I enjoyed the letter also!
Response: We were in Waterloo shopping on Wednesday and I mentioned That I didn't remember if I had heard from you about our swap. Got home and checked my swaps and here was your rating. Must have sent out a psychic message when I was driving through town. I still think it's pretty neat that I got a partner so close to home.
Comment: Get over here, girl - I need my windows washed, too!! ~ Super thanks for the amazing stuff you sent! ~ I love it all - It feels like Christmas when I opened the envelope full of good stuff. Thanks again - so much - Hope all the tons of snow has melted away - Happy day to you! Thank you again - So much ~ Awesome swap.
Response: Glad you liked it. Snow is almost all gone. Now tulips are peeking out of the ground. Windows done, on to destroying cob webs I've found lurking in corners.
Comment: If I could give you more heart I would give you more. Thank you so much for the lovely pink things, some already find their home in my daughters room :-) Love it all. Hope you had a great day with your daughter-in-law, always love to shop with my girls too. What a great idea to use googlemaps, thx for the tip!! Your package arrived well and have a great weekend!!
Greetings from the Netherlands =))
Comment: Thank you so much, June. I love those glittery stickers. I enjoyed your letter so much. I don't know your age but I remember the same things that you wrote about. I am longing for spring weather also. We are neighboring states. Have a wonderful Easter. God Bless! Happy Swapping!
Comment: Thanks for the card--I've vacationed in Tennessee and always enjoyed how much warmer it was than Wisconsin. Except that time I went to a conference in August--that hot I don't need.
Comment: Hi June, thanks so much for the things for my dog and the fossils and hot drinks! Bracken was sniffing the package very intensely when I showed him. Loved reading about your cats, I think my favourite one would be Gabby. I used to know a cat like Gabby. My husband is very interested in natural history so he was also happy to see the fossils. He actually wants to start a fossil collection! Wish I could give you more hearts. Thanks again!
Response: So glad you liked it. My husband was a big help putting this swap together. Unusual package, bones and rocks !!!! I'm happy with just 1 heart, Thanks.
Comment: Hi! Thanks so much for the lovely pc! It looks so springy - and I am ready for that! This winter just seems to want to hang on way too long! LOL! Thankfully our snow is melted but who knows if it is really gone for this season yet! We have green coming up - yipppeee! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Lovely fabrics! I can't believe you sent me a fabric with a chihuahua on it!!!! I love it!!!!
Response: Glad you liked the fabric. Do you have a Chihuahua ? I used to years ago and she was my love. Her name was Cricket because she was a loud little black bug !! Isn't it funny how some swaps just hit the spot without you even know it.
Comment: thank you for the wonderful postcard! I love it! We go to Johanna's Fine Teas and I always look at the paperdolls and want to buy some, but always feel a little foolish becuz I am 61---but now I have some for myself! Thank you!!!!!
Response: Glad you liked the paper dolls. I bought some for myself off of E-Bay. You're never too old !!!
Comment: One swapper's box was definitely my treasure! The shirt is the best kind to repurpose into a bag, and the all wool sweater is a treasure for that as well - love the pockets on it. All will be used and appreciated! Stay warm and believe in the hope of Spring!
Response: I'm so happy to hear that you liked your package. I really was worried that you might not. I just wasn't satisfied with what I sent but feel much better now. Thanks for letting me know. Sure would like to see what you do with the shirt.
Comment: What a great swap! Not only did you send me a wonderful selection of teas, but a list on a teacup paper and a lovely note an a beautiful tea/cup card! I loved the letter and the part about the teacup. I have a favorite mug that's extra large. The only thing is that it takes longer to steep. Thank you for such a nice package!
Response: So glad you liked the tea. I worried a little because we don't have much access to the "fancier" brands here. I love to try any new flavor.
Comment: Thanks a lot for your beautiful card - I love autumn colours! I have to say I'm really envious because of all your snow - our winter has been so mild, no snow at all, what a disappointment. Today feels very spring-like, lots of sunshine and pretty warm already. Maybe we could swap: your snow for our spring weather :)
I'm glad you liked living in Germany, Lampertheim is not far from where I live!
Response: I'm ready to swap. We had another inch of snow last night. I'm so ready for Spring. Take care.
Comment: I don't think this is Butt Ugly, I just think it's a bit strange with the bear paws on the bumper. Not sure what that means but I do HATE Spam. My mother fixed it all the time when we were little. YUCKY!!!!
Thanks for the card.
Response: Instead of calling this a butt ugly card we'll just call it a YUCKY card :)
Comment: I loved your card and all the stories about your pets. I found it very heartwarming and had to go cuddle my puppy while simultaneously missing my cats (my babies, left behind in England) like crazy!
Comment: Hi June,
Thanks for the great information on your name, and thank you for your lovely note and cute card and kitty picture! I loved reading the note! Also, this might be an odd thing to say, but this swap smelled good -- kind of sandalwood-y? Not sure if that was intentional, but I like it, lol. Anyway, thank you again! :-)
Response: Glad you liked everything. I run into a rummage sale where there were lots of pretty, unique pens. Kind of a thing with me. Well one of them has scented ink. I love writing with it but had no idea that it stayed with the letter. This makes me so happy. Only problem is, one of these days it's going to run out of ink and can't say that I've ever seen scented ink pens in the stores. May have to go on an internet search. Bet I'll never hear that again.
Comment: I adored your lists! Thank you so much for the adorable kitten note as well. I hope your husband is feeling better! The little details you put into everything were delightful: the film strips for actors, the record for songs, the TV guide for shows, and the map for places. That's fantastic you are enjoying in your life how you want to, and I wish you well with everything. Happy swapping! (｡◕‿‿◕｡)
Comment: Hi June! Nice to run into you again :) Your answers were fun to read, and this was a really fun swap. By the way I LOVE Meryl Streep too! Along with Sissy Spacek, those two are the best actresses of the modern age, hands down. Until we meet again! :)
Comment: Thank you soo very much you package arrived today! I absolutely love elephants im not sure if it says that on my profile. I loved your note, books, and the little pouch is adorable. Thank you. And keep warm and cozy.
Response: Glad you liked the swap. Sure took a long time to arrive. Sorry. We're heading into an extremely cold spell so thanks for the "keep warm and cozy". Need all the help we can get.
Comment: Thank you for the fabrics and the lovely letters. you wrote that it was a little chilly before Christmas! I guess you wish it was that warm right now ;)
Response: HA HA !! Very Funny !! Three days ago it was, with figuring in the wind chill, -53 degrees F. But it wasn't a record. In 1997 it was - 60 degree F. You just stay indoors and be thankful that you're retired and don't have to go outside. Take care
Comment: June, I am so sorry about being so late and with rating you. You have been such a trouper in patience with me. I did receive your incredibly beautiful swap in early December, and I did think I had rated you. If there is such a thing as an excuse then it's due to spending so much time with my elderly mom who fell in late November and between work shifts, I've spent so much time with her. You sent me such beautiful wooden tree ornaments...I love all of it, the snowman sleigh, the round 'block' of wood ornament, both the wood tree and cloth tree ornaments ~ and the candy I remember well! You sent me such a wonderful description of what you see concerning trees around your home. I am keeping that too. Thank you so very much June. It's people like yourself that make all of swapbot a nice place to be. God bless you in 2014. ♥
Response: Your comments made me feel so special !! I understand that things can happen. Hoping that your Mother is doing well, during the holidays I think of my Mom so much. She always made Christmas so wonderful and we all miss her. Happy swapping in 2014.
Comment: Thanks for your nice letter & Christmas cards. My favorites were the Currier & Ives! Happy 2014
Response: Thanks for the rating. If I'd known that you liked the Currier and Ives I could have sent lots more. I don't really care for them and so don't usually send them and end up with lots of them !! Happy swapping.
Comment: Thank you for joining this swap and the card with so many cheerful birdhouses. I loved reading your beautiful Christmas story. Congratulations on winning and thank you for sharing. Happy swapping in 2014!
Comment: Thank you for joining this swap and Wow, cute card and such a nice, long letter. Thank you for taking time out to write. The penguin is adorable. Maybe, we need more cute animal card swaps LOL - I hope no one ended up in the hospital today. Happy swapping in 2014!
Comment: Twice as nice. I thought your first card with the mailbox was great but this second one is twice as nice. Wow, you are the perfect swap partner. I love the card and the story. What an honor for you to share that with me. Thank you again. I hope your Christmas is everything you invision.
Comment: Wow! This was an amazing swap. I loved your letter so much and I am very appreciative that you took the time to write such a wonderful letter. Thank you, thank you. I also smiled at the photo of your snow globe. What a wonderful surprise. Merry Christmas to you. Take care.
Comment: The resend arrived and I truly appreciate your sending it. I am so sorry that the first one got lost in transit. Just had a package sent to the Ukraine not arrive - an expensive resend. Happy New Year!
Response: Thank you for the rating. I WILL make it right with you.
Comment: What a great bunch of paper, and delightful letter. I was really pleasant to get such a newsy, mostly cheerful letter about holidays at your home. I just hope your daughter-in-law heals up fast from her injury! Merry Christmas to you!
Comment: Oh, June, your sweet card, ornament and letter are so lovely. Thank you for sharing your beautiful story with me. I will write back to you soon. And, yes! We did get the crazy ice storm. Almost everything is shut down today and our power was out for a few hours but it's back on and we are toasty and warm. :)
Comment: Wow! You will be one busy lady with all that you have to keep yourself busy baking and all. :) I think the idea of neighbors swapping cookies is neat. I wouldn't trust mine where I am now though to do such a thing.. :( Thank you for the ornament! It is lovely. I am planning on doing our tree this weekend when I have my kiddos since they will be here. And your poem is really cool. And even better that you won as you did!!! Congratulations! I'd be afraid to read in front of others as you did though hehe :) Hope you and yours have a wonderful Christmas holiday and an even better New Year! :)
Comment: Thank you so much for this beautiful swap! I adore the pens and the beautiful little bag - and I loved to read about you and your life. Thanks a bunch, what an amazing swap. The glass pen is wonderful. I can't give you enough hearts. ;)
Response: I'm so glad you liked it. The swap I received was also wonderful. I like the pen ones !!
Comment: Thank you soooo much! So many goodies for me to look through. I love the cat passage on the note card. I'll put the fabric squares towards my patchwork quilt. Your cats sound so amazing, the photos are so cute :3 . Thanks again! X
Comment: Thank you for the lovely walk - I really enjoyed reading your narrative and the great pictures. My favorite part was the comparison of the water tower to a mushroom - especially the detail about the dirt on the underside.
Comment: thank you for such a wonderful letter, extra fabric, and the pic of your crib quilt. I love that the teddy bears are all "under" the quilt.. I might have to snag that idea and make one myself!
Comment: Thank you so much! I especially liked the "Little Brown Church in the Vale" as well as the pretty sheep bookmark. The Little Brown Church has always been one of favorite church songs! I remember singing it as a little girl! We don't sing it at my current church, (Lutheran) but I made sure we sang it at my Father's funeral! I had no idea that it was a "real" church!
Comment: Greetings from a fellow newbie! Thank you very much for the great swap! Wow, it is so impressive, that you hand- copied the book! I used to love books by Stephen King, but hadn't read his recent works... Thank you for all the extras as well, I absolutely love the pic of your kitty, he is sooooo handsome!!! I have been only to Des Moines, but would love to see the rest of the state...
Comment: Hi June! I loved your letter. New York isn't much of a place to go if you want to relax. I am moving to Massachusetts soon with my significant other, and I'm excited to get some air. I've lived in various states throughout my life, and I admit that I miss the fresh air and quietness of a small town. I hope you have a wonderful day! Please take pictures of the cloth book when you are finished! I'd love to see.
