Comment: Hi Autumn,
Thanks for the lovely package. I love your eco-friendly packaging! Thanks for the wish paper, light catcher, cookie cutter and recipe. I loved it all! Specially the cookie cutter and recipe. I will make some sugar cookies soon.
Comment: Thank you again! I think I got you as my partner for the bookish swap too - LOL! I really liked the sturdy quote cards and sticker...if only I could actually believe that "time is not the boss" of me! Ugh - right now I feel like the concept runs my life!
Comment: Thanks, I've thought of making a carpenter's star but never did it. I think when I'm inspired I will not make one this big and probably do it with paper piecing. This is a reminded of a very fine traditional pattern!
Comment: My goodness what a fine kit! To tell the truth I wouldn't get around to making that wall hanging (I do art quitls of my own design) but the fabrics are all wonderful and will go into other things I make. Thanks.
Comment: beautiful card. i absolutely love the wrapping paper, thank you for ms. clause. i don't think i will have time this year to make it but for sure next year. then i can hang it on the cities giving tree. thank you.
Comment: I am sorry to hear of your current situation and I hate to do this but... This swap was supposed to be sent back in early December. You said you would get a resend out but have not yet done so. I will consider re-rating if the swap is made up.
Comment: Wow this was really late. Post date says January 11th and the deadline to send was December 4th. And I have to ask--this doesn't even look like a card-did you cut a card in half and just send the front to me? You didn't really send a card you sent half of one and you didn't contact me to say you would be so late so that's why I'm rating you a 3. I did take a picture of the swap for proof. You took an old card that someone gave you probably/cut it in half and sent me the picture part. I think you deserve a 1 personally. I have read your other ratings and it seems like this follows the same pattern. Seriously. Cards are not expensive. This was an easy swap. You could have bought a dollar store card and that would have been nicer than what you sent me. Stop swapping if you are just going to send trash to people. It's not good manners.
Comment: Excellent notecards. Unique!! I loved them all. Especially the Sea Turtle which is my favorite followed closely by the red wooden lawn/patio chairs. Cherubs are adorable. The kids holding hands and running in the water is SWEET! All Earthjustice cards are awesome. I am a big environmentalist. Plus I am big on cruelty free products. These are wonderful cards, Autumn. Thanks for the swap. Let me know when you are ready for another, different swap. Happy Swapping. Care "catcare"
Comment: I waited until Christmas to open and I feel I must rate more fairly. There were supposed to be 2 gifts equalling $10 (5 each). You sent 2 old freebie cookbooks, 3 giveaway bookmarks, 1 postcard, some loose mini stickers, drinking straws, and a pack of hand Warmers.
Response: Im sorry you didnt like what you got. I bought everything the cookbooks and the bookmarks I bought at the thrift store and they all were brand new. I bought the postcard and the flake stickers too. The drinking straws were christmas straws were bought online they were 1.99 not including tax and shipping. The hot hand handwarmers were not cheap either with evrything I bought it did add up to 10 dollars.
Comment: I got my swap on a second sending (hence pretty late) and it was no surprise the first parcel had got lost as the address was totally miswritten: town was missing and zip code was incomplete! Pure luck it was delivered the second time even! Sadly the contents were also disappointing: some low quality and ruined stuff that made for a very sloppy swap. I am not a picky person, but I do put efforts in my swaps and would like the same in exchange...
Response: I offered to resend and apoligized for you not getting it the 1st time. Im sorry it was late. As for the adress I just put the one that was given to me on swapbot. What I sent you were all new items Im sorry you didnt like them.
Comment: Thank you for your e-mail and links! I've never heard of Powell's and will make sure to check there before I make any media purchases. There is a site I didn't mention in my e-mail called DealOz (dealoz.com) that compares prices across sites online for books, movies, etc. that I sometimes use to find the best price, but I've never seen Powell's in the search results so thanks for letting me know about it. Best wishes for your business and thanks for hosting this swap!
Comment: Great sites, I'm a big Jane Austen fan, I'll have to look for that movie! I recently read a book called The Watson's- Jane Austen wrote the first 5 chapters or so and the a relative of hers finished it off, it was lovely :) your store is lovely too, very different and unique!
Comment: Thank you. The McCormick recipes are one of my favorites but this is one I have Not tried. :-) 11-20-14 Sorry for original typo! I had not tried this one but have since you sent it and we loved it!!!
Comment: The coordinator said I have to give you a 5 for receiving anything. I'm upset that in your profile you say to message you if we don't think it met swap requirements and even though you read it, you've never responded! I don't want you to spend money on me, but a little decoration on the envelope or "note" or on the post-its would have gone a long way with me. I hope you understand where I'm coming from and what I'm saying. I do wish you all the best.
Response: I am sorry I didnt reply back I have been busy but I had every intention to and I would be happy to still message you back. Im sorry you are upset and dissapointed.
Comment: I have to say:1) it didn't meet the requirement for theme (summer) and 2) it appears you grabbed some random left over sheets of paper and stickers. I really enjoy these swaps however when I receive something that was a last minute thought rather than actually going out to find something I get a little disappointed.
Response: Everything I sent was a summer theme. I wasnt aware that you were disappointed you didnt message me you just rated. If I would have known I would have resent I still would be willing to resend. It was also not a last minute thing I sent this out a while ago and I had to think about it because I had to find things that were summer themed.
Comment: Thank you for the neat Petals In The Wind game. I read the book when it came out originally. Read all of V.C. Andrews books and loved them. Then when she passed away and they kept coming out with more books with the "fine print" saying in the style of V.C. Andrews I lost interest. Just wasn't quite the same. Thanks again.
Comment: Rec'd swap & was not a dinner -- a winter cider. Requested re-send (this happens too often w/ this member). Did receive a meal recipe -- for a Lime Cilantro Chicken -- one of the ingredients says to use taco seasoning or make your own -- "see recipe". There was no recipe for this. It is disappointing that you are not paying attention to what you are sending. Thanks for sending the taco seasoning recipe.
Response: Im sorry you are disappointed I can send you that taco receipe. Im glad you got my resend.
Comment: Thank you very much. It's sad that you had such a difficult time with your mail. I have put your item in my Christmas basket to open on Christmas Eve. I can't wait to see what you sent me. Take care and happy swapping!!!
Comment: I did receive an envelope saying Happy Spring from you but I am very disappointed in it. This was supposed to be "Art", what I received had just a few stickers slapped on it. Technically I am rating a 5 but only because I have to.
Comment: you sent a book I've never heard of instead of one from my wishlist as stated. I have a huge wishlist on Amazon linked to my profile. You sent an outdated free bookmark and a generic 10 cent emery board when all items were supposed to be "pampering".
Response: The swap was senders choice you cant rate just because you didnt like what you got. Also you didnt notify there was a problem before you rated!
Comment: I received this swap on Feb 10. This was sent on Feb 7 from your post office. This was 18 days after the send by date on the swap. This swap would have rated a 5 if it had been sent ontime or if you had notified me that this would be sent late.
Comment: Sorry to have to rate you a 3. The item was sent 3 weeks late.
Response: Im sorry you are unhappy with receiving it late I did send it out when I was supposed to and I do have it up on my profile that it take a while to get to another country. Also the weather has been very bad at times here with the polar vortex thing so that might have been an issue as well.
Comment: thank you for your card. I happen to see your name on this swap while rating another. I received your card some time ago, but there was not swap name on it. So forgive my delay in rating this swap.
Comment: dearest autumn,
what lovely postcards/pictures and magnet picture! so carefully wrapped - i didn't know where to start!
very clever little gifts - i like them very much.
michele (aka saraphin)
Comment: Thank you very much for the Christmascard, but please write the swapname on the card, I couldn't find it, and I do a lot of swaps, so it was very difficult to find your name. Greets and best wishes, Aafke
Comment: I got your resend but unfortunately the paper envelope had torn and one of swap items had fallen out. All I got was the note you wrote and a notecard. The envelope seemed old and weak, the edges were fuzzy and the paper was kind of yellow. Envelopes like that aren't meant to hold anything more than a couple of letter sheets, and that particular one was already old enough to retire. I wondered how to rate you. You wrote that the other item you made was a magnet so I guess it got stuck on something made of metal and tore the weak envelope open. Please make sure to package your swaps more carefully in the future! Reinforce the sides, edges and corners of paper envelopes with clear packaging tape or adhesive book cover film or use sturdy bubble mailers. Especially in Type 3 swaps (I know this was marked Type 2 by the host but since it was a craft swap it's a Type 3) so you won't need to make or buy new stuff and resend over and over again. I rate you a 5 because I got the notecard and obviously you sent something else too, but please pay attention on how to send non-paper items in the future.
Response: Oh I am so sorry!! I would be happy to resend but I see you say that is not nescessary thak you for the 5
Comment: Very disappointing and not in the spirit of the swap. i was sent one coffee sachet and an old faded/marked Starbucks leaflet and a bauble cut out from a magazine or something. Autumn said she would not resend as could not afford to send anything other than a flat swap. It's not OK to join type 3 swaps if you can't do them properly and fairly. Stick to type 2 if that's what you are sending to others.
I'm stumped as to why anyone would think it was OK to send one coffee sachet and an old leaflet wrapped up for a secret santa swap.
Co-ordinator said I should rate a 1 but have given a 3 as received something. Co-ordinator also says she will not be permitted to join any more of her swaps.
Comment: i didnt get "mutiple" resends, no i just got 2 resents with used Ãtems and junk, now i received stickers, this is not a stickers swap, it´s a stuff swap, the swap was in may, and today nov, 28 i received stickers : (
Response: I was just notified TODAY 6-25-13 (for the 1s time!) that you had not received your package. I said I would resend (6-25-13) and then got a responce of this rating and a message asking if I would resend. I did resend im not sure why im receiving this one it usally takes more then 10 days to send a swap to mexico! I think this is a very unfair and premature rating. This rating was removed on the 25th and then put back on the 3rd.
I have resent this as of 8-24
I have resent this again as of October 28 2013. I contacted this partner several days ago (as of Nov. 24) to see if see has received any of my mutiple resends and have not heard back.
Comment: Many thanks for the book - it looks really interesting and not something I would have automatically picked up so you have challenged me to read outside my usual borders! I had just about given up hope of seeing a book - I think the postie swam from the USA his or herself!!!! Have a great day.
Response: Wow sorry it took so long! Im glad you think it looks interesting I hope you enjoy! lol
Comment: I am rating a five because technically the envelope met requirements, but a little disappointed, because how do you judge?
The envelope I sent had small perfume samples, soap, shampoo and conditioner, candy, small toys, keychain, magnets and paper goods, It was "stuffed" The envelope I got had 6 postcards, 5 notecards with no envelopes, 1 was sticky and 1 had something crusty on it. 1 halloween lable, 9 free bookmarks and a handfull of small stickers. Now, I understand that I can't rate on content, but I it was not "stuffed" I am new so I don't really know how this whole thing works so, I am looking for feedback! Thank you!
Comment: Thank you so much! I have been meaning to get some new potholders. I love the pair you made. They are so soft and flexible. They remind me of a pair my mom had while I was growing up. Hers were a very simple and ugly but they were the best. They were a wedding gift and lasted well in to my teens :)
Comment: Thank you for the great stuff you put in. The patterns are pretty old. The postcards and the bookmarks are great. If I have the same partner for a different swap I will try to combine and send at the same time to.
Response: I glad you liked your stuff. Sorry about the patterns being old! I am glad your ok with me combining swaps and im glad you liked the recipe as well.
Comment: Your reply to my message on June 21 said you'd re-send. Mail gets lost and I'm a firm believer that most swappers intend to fulfill their obligations -- I will for sure re-rate when it arrives. August 29, 2013 ~ Hi Autumn - got the envie and thanks for hanging in and sending :-)
Comment: Hello Autumn,
Thank you for the recipe for Zesty Rice Lasagna you sent me for this swap. After reading the recipe, it sounds YUMMY!!!! It sounds like a recipe that will be an excellent recipe to add to add to my Alphabet Recipe Book.
Comment: Postcard arrived but unfortunately the topic you have totally missed. The swap rules have not you noticed and unfortunately I have to be fair and by the rules judge nothing that we do not make this so. You should have a map of your city and not send from the Muppets.
Response: The swap says NOTHING about sending a map of your city. I followed the swap directions everybody else from this swap liked what they got you cant give me a 3 just because you do not like your postcard! Im sorry that you dont like it.
Comment: Hello Autumn,
Thank you for the collection of 5 postcards you sent me to choose from as part of this swap. I appreciate you reading my profile and trying to attempt to match some postcards to my profile. This is the first time someone has done that for me. I found a few postcards I plan to keep and a few I will send on to my partner. I love these swaps.
Comment: What a great selection! I am especially interested in trying the eggs in tomato cups! The Asparagus and White Bean Tart looks great too..next family get together I am going to try that one! Thanks! Judy
Comment: I rate you a 5 because you sent me 3 items and explained how they related to my profile. Although, not extremely happy with what you sent me. I have well filled out WISH LISTS and none of the items you sent me were actually ON any of my wish lists. - Thank you for the effort tho.
Comment: I received your felt clover in the mail. I think the idea was rather clever and I liked your note very much. I would like to recommend that you could possibly have used two pieces of felt instead of one and maybe hand stitched them together with a bit of batting in between. Possibly just using regular ribbon or even embroidery floss would do the trick for the hanging element. I think that another plus would be to ensure that when using a sharpie that the lines be evenly trimmed. I have mailed back your clover to you. I just could not keep it. Thank you... Respectfully mumsie
Comment: Thank you for my ornament. In the future you should stitch two pieces of felt together. It will give the ornament more body. Also a piece of embroidery floss or ribbon will make a sturdier hanger.
Comment: Thank you Autumn!! Believe it or not, I received your swap today.......wow, that was fast! I LOVE everything you sent, thanks for doing this swap with me...good job!! This was fun, and I hope we get an opportunity to swap again in the future. The postcards are adorable! The bookmark is very, very nice and I'm very happy. Thanks Autumn! Happy Swapping!
Comment: I can't honestly rate this a 5 just because I got something. I got 3 small hard cinnamon candies and a used ziploc baggie with handful of cat treats in it. There is no way I'm feeding my cats anything that did not come from a sealed bag and especially not from a dirty plastic baggie. The note included was completely illegible. I tried to read it and gave up and threw all of this crap in the trash.
Response: Im sorry you disliked what you got. I did follow swap requirements.
Comment: In all honesty, I have been avoiding rating as I do not like rating less than a 5 --- I am disappointed in this swap -- there were no envelopes sent with the notecards so that makes them not really ready to send out -- they also were made in a way that I would rather not send them -- using invisable tape to tape down images -- I am sorry --- I am giving a 5 because they were sent and there were 4 of them -- however I almost rated a 3
Response: I am sorry you were disappointed with what you got.
Comment: I like and appreciate your handmade bookmark. Postcard is mighty fine too. You need to be more careful, tho: you addressed the envelope to Puraville (for my town) and it should be Purcellville. It got here ok, but the postman put a note on it to advise the sender of my correct address. :)
Response: Oh Im really sorry about writting your adress wrong! I wrote it on paper and then on to your envie at the post office and my writting so messy I guess I cant read it sometimes lol. will be more careful in the future
Comment: Autumn ~ you are awesome and so kind! I love that Christmas card, it so beautiful. Thank you so much for the cookbooks (you can never have too many). And thank you for the book, can't wait to give it a try!! XO Kelly
Comment: I received your resend, but I'm super disappointed in what you sent b/c you did not meet the requirements AT ALL! You sent a cat themed chip clip, a coupon, a magnet, and instructions you printed off the internet on how to make cat treats and toys. You were supposed to send a 6 x9 inch envelope stuffed with cat toys that were specified by my comment on the swap description. I'm literally in tears b/c this swap was for my boys and now they have literally nothing to play with from this swap. I should have just avoided this swap all together and just used the money I spent on sending my partner dog toys to buy toys for my cats.
Response: I am sorry you were disappointed with what you got. I sent this swap out 3 times so I did send out toys but in the 3rd one I did not. I do want to point out that nowhere on the swap does it say this was a cat toy swap.
I did send out a 6x9 envelope and it was stuffed. The clip is cat themeed and is supposed to be for a bag of cat food.
The coupon I sent I think was a very nice coupon it was for a free can of cat food.
The Magnet was extra for you
Then I printed off recipes for cat treats and food and things to make for your cats.
Comment: Thank you for the absolutely WONDERFUL junk journal you sent me! It deserves more than one heart, if I could give you more I definitely would!
I love the journaling cards and tags that you added, and I especially like the tuck in places! You've given me ideas of other things i can do when I make journals. Thanks for the inspiration!
Comment: I have tried multiple times to contact and correct the situation for this swap. The swap I received was broken and missing things.Hg08 contacted the swap host and had her be a mediator for coming to some type of compromise. Hg08 agreed to resend the swap at the end of September, it is almost November and still nothing. You did not uphold your part of the bargain. Honestly just done with the drama, sorry but you left me no choice, just sad it had to come to this :(
Response: I did contact this person apologized and asked if there was anything I could do to fix this.
I have tried as well to contact multiple times I did say I would resend but then afterwords she said to just drop the situation.
