Comment: I just received my extra special package. Thank you! I LOVED the No Face pin and I immediately put it on my work lanyard. I'd love to be your Anime penpal! I'll start browsing my favorite store, Daiso, for some stickers and cute stuff. :) Be on the lookout for a package in the next coming weeks.
I look forward to it.
There's an anime convention next week so I'll look for some stickers for you in the artist alley.
Comment: Thanks for the lovely ATC, stocking, mittens, bath mitt and cards!! I don't join many handmade swaps (since I'm sadly lacking in art/craft abilities!) so it's really special to receive so many handmade items, and I love them all. :-)
Comment: Thank you for the cute snowman and awesome nativity stocking! That is something i didn't have! I have saved the other for Christmas. I wish we had a place for supplies i think that is really cool. That is why i joined swapbot to trade supplies!
Comment: Thank you very much for the package! I loved the cute little facts! My New Years Resolution is probably like yours, save up some money (I loved your idea) and loose weight, I found this green smoothie challenge (http://simplegreensmoothies.com/) I'm going to try.
Comment: terrific RAK even if you don't know if she's telling the truth - unfortunate these days! however love the idea of giving away bus tickets and food instead :)
Response: It's unfortunate and sad, some of them may have been born with it in their blood if their mother was a druggy while pregnant. Another good one to give is gift cards to places like a coffee shop. $5 gift card goes a long way at a coffee shop.
Comment: Thanks for sharing... geez woman... you got alot goin on!!! I would go crazy trying to keep track of everything...great job on your successes and good luck tackling your "not quite there" tasks
Comment: I freaking love the castle!! It is (quite appropriately) sitting atop my display case, with the dragon dutifully looking down over my office. It rocks :D And the Storm stand up! She's in the display case, thank you so much!!
Response: Glad you like it, I was worried because it looked like you spent alot on my presents but I made most of yours or got them on the cheap. I'm writing you a response letter to your package right now.
Comment: Oh my gosh! I am so sorry I forgot to rate you for this swap!!! I absolutely LOVE the winged pig drawing you made for me. It is now at a framing shop, being custom matted and framed so I can hang it in my office. Thank you, thank you, thank you for creating such a special and personal work of art for me! <3
Response: Aww.... you are very welcome. If you'd like to, could you send me a photo of what it looks like framed?
Comment: Oh, sweet Iggy! I received my ATCs today and I just absolutely love them. I was with a friend when I opened them and showed them off right away. The bunny one is too funny and cute, but the rattie one almost made me cry. It's our little Slumber, you have her cream-colored little self there. Thank you so much. That is the first ATC that will have to have a frame and be displayed on the wall. I love it and thank you so much for setting this swap up for us. Hope it's the first of many! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ These are the hearts I wish I could give you!
Response: Your very welcome. I love when my art is greatly appreciated.
Comment: Thank you so much, she is beautiful! :D I love that cartoon too, Logan picked it up a couple of months ago and at first I was questioning it (because of the style) but yah we really liked it too!
Response: Your welcome
Lol, same thing, "I don't like how they drew Nightcrawler...........wait they made him a badass and his voice actors amazing! " Seriously the voice acting was really well done in that show (all those cool accents). I just didn't like the last episode cause I was like "No Emma! You were too awesome!"
Comment: Thank you sooo much Ingrid! What a beautiful swap you sent! I am in love with your sun-catcher idea - such a fantastic way to reuse old jugs and turn them into works of art! I can't wait to try it out with my students when I go back to work! Your letter was very interesting and I am totally envious of all of your discoveries in the city - free art classes?! You're so lucky! I hope things work out well for you and that your friend turns things around... You deserve more! Thanks again and I hope to meet up with you in the swap world again! <3 Ainslie
ps LOVE that you transformed your art into bookmarks and magnets and I love the photos you included too! AWESOME swap!
Comment: Thank you for your letter and the pictures. Our water levels are high as well. We have gotten so much rain. April we broke the record rain fall. For May, I think we are on track to do the same. You have very nice photos. Thanks for including the painting along with the current levels of the dam. It gives a very good perspective.
Comment: such interesting & artsy cards! yours is so beautiful! what a great job you have-i bet you are really good at what you do too! The Edge sounds awesome! And how was lunch at the Tallest Poppy? Thanks for sharing! Happy swapping! :)
Comment: Ingrid! Thank you for the lovely notebook! I postively love Ten Thousand Villages, so it was a real treat from you to send me the goodies. Plus, the chocolate looks super-yummy. Have a lovely day! :)
Comment: Another nice RAK (sorry, my feedbacks are late, just getting the hang of how the system works here still!). Donating AND extra effort at work, nice week for you hun. Definitely sending over a heart to you too :)
Comment: Though I was once again gifted with an amazing package (I just LOVE the scarf!) Swap-Bot will NOT LET ME GIVE YOU A HEART!! I'll try back again another day, but in the meantime you get a mental heart <3
I really loved it, and the ornaments are up on my tree and my fridge is littered with magnets hahahaha~!
Merry Christmas and happy New Year, once again!
Comment: The Pink Panther!!! That was unexpected, but I guess I didn't really know what to expect for this swap ... the possibilities are endless! I'm going to watch this with my 5 year old; he has no idea what it is, he said: "pink pampers?" Thanks a bunch :) Have a great holiday!
Comment: great photos! I especially liked the one of the duck because the colors and patterns on it's feathers are so detailed & colorful! thanks so much for sharing! Also for your cool art extras-you are so talented! Happy swapping & shooting!
Comment: A lovely letter and the fan was a great surprise! Logan won't stop playing with it haha! The letter really made me laugh and your photos were beautiful. He thought the picture of the park was an actual postcard and not a picture you had taken. Loved it!
Comment: I'm so sorry that I haven't rated this swap yet since it was one of my favorite items received! Thank you so very much for the beautiful journal you sent to me with all of the exciting teas! You put so much thought into it that I almost don't want to drink any of the teas because I don't want to ruin the journal in any way! Wish I could give you extra hearts! Instead, I'll send you my best wishes and happy swapping! (I noticed you are now in Wpg. I hope you enjoy it there! It's where I grew up so I have some special memories there!) Take care. xo
Comment: Thank you so much for my awesome Spiderman package!! I'm loving it all; can't wait to watch the movie tonight. Thank you!!! :)
Response: Your welcome. Guess where I found the movie? At the dollarstore for $2 and it was brand fricken new, (did I mention that in my letter) I watched it once before sending it to you, to make sure there wasn't anything wrong with it but it was perfect (just like the copy I bought for $20). They also had Lord of the Rings and a bunch of other blockbuster I already bought for $20 and now they're at the dollar store for $2.
Comment: Thank you so much for the photos, they are absolutely awesome! You probably had a lot of fun while exploring. :) Canada looks so interesting! Thanks also for the extra photos and the little airplane. This swap was absolutely fantastic!
Response: your welcome. This is my favourite of the swaps I host, its fun doing the exploring and then I get to see other parts of the world when people send me their photos. How you enjoyed doing your exploring and sharing your photos.
Comment: I love the mug!! That still has to be one of my favorite drawings of yours, and my favorite mug broke over the weekend so it's perfect lol! Thank you so much, the t-shirts are awesome, especially the drawn one, Logan really got a kick out of it so now we're going to look for those crayons. And he's stealing my candy haha
Response: https://www.pentelstore.com/index.php?grp=715 there they are.
Comment: Your package came in a postal bag, post-office machines ate your [package , but I did get a wash rag with Cinnimon on it, , kleenix, book mark and Hello Kitty Marker and stickers and loved it all!
Yours was the nicest profile swap I got!
Response: your welcome
sounds like nothing was lost.
For a second I thought "how did cinnamon get on the wash cloth,.............oh what the character cinnamon"
Comment: What an AWESOME swap package. The books are super cool! My son said the Deltora book will be a great read. My daughter ADORES the t-shirt. She wore it to bed last night after I opened the package! Everything was awesome! Thank you so much!
Response: your very welcome. I glad you liked it so much you thanked me twice. Welcome :D
Comment: I so enjoyed your letter and your photos! It all made me pine for the lakes in Ontario AND for the summer we've never had here in Alberta. I especially love the photo of the purple flowers! thank you too for the little pink bagof treasures from the beach-I love it all!
Response: your very welcome. I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
Comment: well hello! I got your journal a few days ago and just had time to site down and look through it...I like how you put at the end of each day what you did...I will be sending you a letter soon on my thoughts :) I enjoyed this swap even though it was hard so definantly let me know the next time you host one :) also thanks for the photos you included, of course I loved the ones of the birds!
Response: Your welcome. I'll be sure to let you know though it probable wont be till october once I get settled after my move.
Comment: That sounds like an incredible cafe! You are super nice to your coworkers, my goodness... if more people were like you, I think less people would hate their jobs. I wish I could give you a gold star for being a superstar employee!
Response: Trust me I'd have to bring alot to make everyone not hate their job there, the place is a hellhole (at least it's better than a few years ago after the 'health and safety board' kicked their butts) At least I can say to myself "I'm only here a couple months" The people stuck there all the time can get so miserable.
Comment: wow Bohemian Fridays sounds like my sorta cafe! btw, what a weird job 'structure' being laid off/rehired! what a nice bunch of things you did for your co-workers!
Response: yeah it is weird someone told me they do that so they don't have to put you in the union. If you work 65 days they have to put you in the union so they just layoff/rehire people when they get too close to 65 so they have to start over on their 65 days to the union. It must be so annoying for the employees trying to get into the union, it's $6 more per hour plus benefits when you get into the union but then your stuck there for a long time (I don't wanna be stuck there)
Comment: Thank you! Liar Liar is a great movie that I have not seen in many many years. I think I used to own it on VHS, so it's at least 7 years since I saw it the last time, haven't had a VHS player since then. And thanks for all the cuteness =)
Response: your very welcome. I found something really great for you for 20 Profile Surprise #2 hopefully it wont be too much to ship.
Comment: Logan was so excited to see a Godzilla movie, haha! I didn't actually know that you really loved them, I remember you talking about them, but didn't realize you collected them :D I love the computer paper and the comic, I haven't read it yet but I'm dying too, Thanks so much!
Response: Your welcome Lol @ Logan :D I thought it'd be weird to do spider-man since you may be planning to send me spider-man stuff in the shoe, it would feel like we were going backwards. Guess what, I found the first godzilla movie today, the 1954 orginal, I got it today and I can wath it tonight. It suppose to be a lot more serious then it 28 sequels.
Comment: Great choice of movies for me! Thanks so much...I just love my Vincent. And I have never seen the remake of that movie, so am looking forward to comparing it (and finding Vincie superior, I am sure!) :)
Response: Your welcome. I love the dvd bargain bin I find some great movies in there. Ofcourse the original House on Haunted Hill is the best but the remake is rather creepy (until the climax then it gets cheesy)
Comment: Cool RAK's!! The busking one sounds like it would be fun to do from the other side of things too, I sing and play guitar, that would be an awesome thing to be part of if buskers did that in Seattle or something, hmmmm!! Thanks for sharing as always and happy swapping! <333
Response: thanks and your welcome. Maybe you can talk to a grocery store and see if they'll let you busk out front for foodbank donations. Probable should talk to the food bank too so they can send someone over to pick up the donations.
Comment: lovely support for breast cancer! Pink Ribbon Store is part of many stores linking into the Care2 free click-a-day to donate to many causes. i've purchased wonderful things from them too! good job with your donations too!
Response: thank you :) after I receive my order an see what the qualities like I'll probable order more
Comment: Thank you! I got the swap yesterday. Lucky thing I didn't send you Hellboy 2, LOL. That would have been a less fun coincidence for you. I watched Frighteners last night-- it was really funny. I'll save the Godzilla to watch with my boyfriend. At least one of us should be able to appreciate that it's "awesome because it is stupid." Thanks again for a great swap!
Response: You're welcome
Lol, Godzilla is basically a bunch of guys in rubber suits having a wrestling match with bad special effects tacked on so yeah stupid but can be amusing if you can get into it. Glad you liked Frighteners. Trying to do more dvd swaps but there doesn't seem to be many swappers who like to swap dvds.
Comment: Thanks for buying "new" food - unwanted, dented and expired stuff is appreciated but I think it feels better to the recipients when someone cares enough to buy food specifically for them. Good job! ... EDIT Your local food banks have higher standards than the ones in my area; they have big signs saying "we're not responsible ..." and distribute rotten, moldy perishables and boxed, canned goods expired by months and even years! I agree with you - a little bit stale is no biggie, that's a shame someone had to be so incredibly picky :(
Response: welcome. Dented and expired stuff actually ends up being throw in the garbage at the foodbank often times. They can get shut down if they accidentally gives someone food that makes them sick. People don't realize this and give expired can goods to the food bank but it can actually put them behind. Grocery stores are the worse for this because they'll send over truckloads of expired stuff (cheaper to donate then to send it to the dump). A couple weeks someone sent a complaint into the foodbank because they got stuff past the best before date (this annoyed me because while expired means it could be bad, best before date just means it's stale, and if someone gives you free food don't complain cause it's stale) So the food bank had to throw out a ton of food, all the cookies and crackers had to be thrown away so noone gets any cookies or crackers because some one was offended by FREE stale cookies (I've eaten the stale cookies at the foodbank and they were perfectly fine)
Response: Oh I should get used to it. It's just at first trying to switch everything around, stay awake when your suppose to be sleeping go to sleep when your usually awake. The first night really really sucked but I'm already getting used to it.
Comment: You are doing a good thing, furthering awareness while also working hands on to help others. I am looking forward to your next RAK and think your idea to make the terms broader should help get more people involved.
Response: Thank you. Here is the weekly RAK http://www.swap-bot.com/swap/show/64708
Comment: I actually asked for no peanut chocolate. I loved the butter cups. We have these here as well.Thank you. xo
Response: I'm sorry I didn't notice maybe I can send you one more chocolate, I have to see how much shipping is Edit: Ohhhh...... I see why I missed it. The sign up deadline was the 19th, partners were assigned the 20th, I checked the comments, bought your chocolate bars and sent them either 20 or 21st, your comment was posted on the 21st hence I didn't see it before I sent. However if I can manage to ship to Australia for a couple dollar I'll still send a non-nutty one. It may have to be a small one though.
Comment: i just got a batch of strawberries from my mom's garden this past weekend & came home to find your 2nd send (first one still never showed, BOO!) recipe postcard in my mailbox. cannot WAIT to put these fresh strawberries to use. :) thank you!
Comment: Oh. My. Goodness. What a lovely, fun package! I especially thought the fruit salad dessert was quite creative :) Thank you for being such a great swap partner!
(Also wanted to mention the cute packaging was torn open on one end in the mail and a few of the inner staples popped open, too. Luckily because of how you taped the items there didn't appear to be anything missing.)
Comment: Thank you so much for the yummy chocolate bars! I appreciate that you wrapped them in plastic as the summer sun heated 'em up a bit...nothing that a little time in the fridge can't fix :) I will re-use that envelope too, it looks like it has traveled the world for a while and it definitely won't stop here! Thanks again for the yummy treats, I will surely enjoy them! :)
Response: Your Welcome. Hooray for the Travelling envie!
They melted and your only an hour away. My other partner is from Australia those chocolate bars are going to be so melted/deformed by the time they get there.
Comment: I'm deeply in love with the teas you picked out for me - especially how all of them have an oriental theme to them, like chai and ginger. Not to mention, you also gave me some peppermint tea! Oh, you shouldn't have. Out of all of them, I have to admit that my favorite packaging is on the Ashbys tea, though. I've never really seen that tea before, but love it. Here's hoping it tastes just as wonderful as it looks. Oh, and the rose and dandelion tea have amazing aromas to them. I know that I'm going to enjoy those extremely. Thank you so much!
Response: your welcome, glad you like my tea choices :)
Comment: Great photos and I love the weird, cute alien tissue paper package. So strange! Some of the photos had blue ink smudged on them from the backs of the other pictures but it wiped off easily-- just might want to use a different pen next time. Thanks, hope you had fun with your nieces!
Comment: thank you for the lovely handpainted atc of a frog. Mr Froggy sure brightened up an otherwise dull day, i love frogs, where i used to live i had a large wild pond in my garden, and had frogs and toads in residence, i have been here 3 yrs can't build a pond but have a water feature that creates a damp area with ferns, i hope to attract some frogs/toads, not seen any yet though i live in hope,
Response: You're welcome. Hope you find your new froggy/toady friends :)
Comment: LOVE LOVE LOVE! I adore your style and would love to do a private swap with you for more of your Anime...for things off your wishlist? ANYTHING!!! lol..Thanks so much, I just cant believe how fabulous they are!..:)
Response: Your welcome
Sure we can do a private swap perhaps in a week, just trying to get my current swap list down. I could send you and anime random envie (if we wait till the next time I go to chinatown) which would include artwork and you could do a any of my favourite characters (there's a long list in my profile) random envie. PM me about it.
Comment: Thank you so much for all of the yummy smelling teabags! I look forward to trying each of them. I did want to mention that the envelope was all torn when it arrived. It may be a good idea to reinforce regular envies with packaging tape. Thanks again.
Response: your welcome, sorry about the ripped envie and thanks for the tip :)
Comment: Plus a million hearts!! I was literally grinning like a fool from ear to ear haha, I LOVE it! And I had to laugh as soon as I saw it was all in a tote (you'll see why when you get yours) :D Thank you SO much! And, Ah! When I read your letter I kicked myself. I saw a great Spider Man t-shirt and didn't even think to ad it to the bag!! Stupid me >.< Oh well, next swap I'll get it :D
Response: I was gonna say "wow that got there fast" but oh yeah I got express cause it was only $2 more. Hmmmm.... I wonder if mines in a tote too? :) you're very welcome Edit and it did come in a tote. I'll let you know next time I got to the city/chinatown that's the best time to swap again.
Comment: Thank you for your informative letter, the pictures and the seeds. I will certainly plant them! Looking at the grass in your garden made me a little homesick! We planted grass on our property but lawns are a very rare thing in Japan. Enjoy your garden and again, thank you for the fun swap. Danielle
Response: your welcome. I hope that you will write me back and show me your garden. Email is fine too if postage is too much ([email protected])
Comment: Oh duplicates aren't a problem! Especially when they're taking place of ginger tea!! All these teas look so yummy and several are my favorites! The Egyptian chamomile and apples looks so good! Thank you very much!
Response: You are very welcome! :)
thanks for the heart
Comment: Yay! Lupin the Third! :D I've always wanted to see one of those movies, and thanks so much for the assortment of teas :D I will make sure Kira and Stephen get their parcels as well :D Thank you so much!
Response: You're welcome I'm currently away from home so I wont be able to open and rate your package for about week
Comment: Hi Ingrid, thanks muchly for the very neat lil envie you put together. The ATC print is pretty exceptional work (WOW! you drew that!?) and the mini-zine is pretty neat too. Thanks for everything, the tea and all of it! Happy swapping!
Response: your very welcome! yup I drew it it's on my site which is link t the top o this proile (this keybord is broken so some letters ren't working you cn probble tell which ones by illing in the blnks)
Comment: EDITED: I LOVED the ATC. I think it is cool how you can just draw something so nice. I so appreciate the beautiful pictures you sent to me of the weeping willows. I love weeping willows and miss seeing them growing down here. You more than earned the heart. :)
Response: Same reply to you as to ANNIEZS (you've probable read it) "Was planning to send tree photos but other priorities took well priority. I'll still send you some tree photos (there are some lovely ones around here) but they'll just come later." I got my batteries for the camera today, I'll probable be able to get the pics while doing the "Let's Explore Swap" so you'll get another envie during April.
Comment: Bookmark beautiful, made with passion and precision, already put in the book I'm reading ....
One problem I do not understand English and have difficulty translating the letter you sent me, but there riuscrò and then let you know.
Thanks again and soon.
Response: Your welcome, Glad you like it. It says it glows in the dark you'll see when you turn out the lights.
Comment: the atc is nice. I'm sorry you did not sign it. The clippings from national geographic were a little disappointing, but I see you followed the rules so I gave you a five
Adding: Thanks for the great tree photos! What a pleasant surprise to recieve them, as a follow up! Have a great spring!
Response: Was planning to send tree photos but other priorities took well priority. I'll still send you some tree photos (there are some lovely ones around here) but they'll just come later.
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful postcard! Is it hand drawn? Can't wait to color it and the chicken soup sounds delicious!
Response: yup, one of the swap partners said they like to colour so I figured I'd send all partners something to colour with the recipe. (except for the partner who said they liked photo they got a photo postcard) It is very good soup my father taught me the recipe shortly before his passing, it is much more healthier than canned chicken soup especially in the sodium department. You're welcome
