Comment: Wow, this is a nice deco, although with so many pages it will take "forever" for the recipient to get it back. It's a shame only passers so far. I like it and will enjoy making a page in it. Thanks for sending.
Response: You're welcome. Sometimes they just don't "speak" to the recipient. Enjoy creating your page!
Comment: Wow Linda, you sent on thursday and I got it yesterday (monday). that is fast. Thanks looks like a great book I get to send home. I will work on your neat idea. Love the posie potholder crochet instructions. I will have to try it. Thanks - have a great day!
Response: Good, my mail seems to be a lot better in the past few months. Glad you like everything and thanks for joining the swap!
Comment: Your price was beautiful. I took it to my work and left it on the 2nd floor. There is an overlook to the 1st floor there I put it on that. I hope someone writes to tell u tgey found it if tgey do/did I'd love to know what they say. I hope it didnt end up in lost and found. I didnt check
Response: Thank you, if nothing else, I hope someone enjoys it!
Comment: Those two definitely qualify as odd decos. I am a bit stumped as to what to do for the big bird one but I will try. The other looks fun but I am glad I will be on the early end of it. Thank you.
Response: All I could think of was Big Bird from Sesame Street, LOL. Now that it gone I've thought of another, but that's alright.
Comment: I like your idea of collecting deco pages & displaying them in a photo holder. I may copy that idea. I need some more ways to store & display my mail art.
The funky dog theme is such fun. Will be on the look-out for a funky dog.
Response: Thank you! I knew as soon as I saw it what I wanted to do with it. And it was only 25 cents because it was the last day of the sale and they were getting ready to put everything away...lol.
Comment: Linda! What lovely paper gifts you gave!! And how pretty of an envelope, I've never thought to use old sheet music as an envelope, it looks amazing!! Thank you :) I especially love the recipe notecards and rainbow stickers. Cheers.
Response: I'm glad you like everything. I make my own envelopes using magazine pages, heavy wrapping paper mostly. Our thrift store has a free shelf with magazines on it. There was the music book and it was large so I took it for the envelopes. I've found children's books with bright pages (the book was falling apart) I think that's been my favorite for envelopes
Comment: Linda I got your travel bug and travel tag trackables! They are super cool and the swag you sent was great! I loved your creativity. :) I will get them logged in later today or tonight. It will take me a couple of weeks to launch them though. I live in a rural town and I want to launch them in a bigger city about an hour away so it has more traffic and more opportunities to travel. Happy caching! :)
Response: Fantastic! I too live in a rural area and try to leave in larger areas.
Comment: Now this was one original and ingenious altered art piece. How fun and cool. I can't wait to abandoned it. I will be doing so on Thursday and I will post in the comments at that time. This was a really fun swap, and I thank you for coordinating it. Hope to do it again soon.
Response: Thank you. I had a lot of fun making it. Saw something like it on Pinterest. Yes, I'll be doing this swap again. I host it every couple months.
Comment: 26 days late but received...as the host of the swap this was very confusing.
Response: Did you read about my post office on my profile? I recently mailed a package to my niece who lives bout 150 north of me. I mailed on a Tuesday. I had tracking on it and checked it thinking it would be delivered that day (Friday). The package was in PA. The postal system is crazy. Why did it even leave the state?
Comment: I love love love this journal!! I am having so much fun going through it a bit at a time. All the incredible work you've put into this journal is wonderful and I am so happy to have been your partner and received it. :)
Response: Oh thank you! When I saw I received a rating for it, I instantly got a knot in my stomach, lol. I had a lot of fun doing it even though it took me a year to do it.
Comment: So sorry for the late rating! Had a great time with my first abandonment swap. I abandoned on a park bench and when I came back the next day it was gone and someone left a thank you note on a napkin :-)
Thank you so much for the swap. I love everything you've included. I left the contents open on the kitchen counter and my dad saw the bookmark and has now claimed it. :) So he says thank you as well.
Comment: Thank you, looks like a yummy recipe! I have some bananas and wil try your family recipe this week! I love family recipes, going from generation to generation! I made family cook books for each of my granddaughters! Also thank you for the cross stitch pattern!!
Comment: Thanks for the stocking stuffer and the extra goofy crochet pattern. I don't know if I'm suppose to rate this now. I haven't opened it yet. I think I'm going to try and wait till Xmas. But I wanted to rate it before I forget.
Response: You're welcome. Yes, you rate when you receive. After you open the gift, you can come back and post a comment on profiles. That's what I do.
Comment: Hello and thank you for the ATCs. Two of them called out to me immediately so I know which ones I'll take (the flowers and the lighthouse) but they're all wonderful. Thanks for the little extras too. XO
Comment: Linda, I received your artwork today, and I will be happy to be a part of sharing it. I'll let you know where and when I place it. I love the colors you chose. My sister crochet and I know how much energy and love goes into each stitch... Thanks for swapping!!
Response: Thank you for your kind words and understanding. I hope to see you participate in this swap again!
Comment: I was archiving old swaps and I just realized that I never rated you for this swap but I know that you always send so I'm giving you the 5 even though I honestly have no memory if I received it or if it was lost by the PO.
Comment: Thanks for sending something and using DC so that we know it actually made it to the PO at least.
Hoping that it actually makes it into our box during the next couple of weeks.
Update: We got it today. Can't wait until Christmas to see what's in that adorable little box. And thanks so much for the ATCs
Comment: Hey Linda,
Thank you for the post today and for the Canadian dime. I've been to Canada but oddly enough don't have Canadian money in my foreign money collection so thank you! Was great to see your handwriting when I opened my box today, it's been awhile. Hope you're having a wonderful summer?!
Warm regards from Iowaâ¤ï¸Debbie
Response: You're welcome. I live about 25 miles from the bridge to Canada and get Canadian change quite often. If you need a penny, nickle and/or quarter let me know
Comment: Thank you very much for the stunning pot holder you made for me. Words cannot express how absolutely beautiful and well made it is. I love how you combined the regular cotton yarn with the thinner and vibrant red cotton crochet thread. Many thanks for sharing your artistry with me.
Response: You're welcome. It turned out so nice that I had to make one for myself too...lol. I think a pink one would be very pretty too.
Comment: I can't wait to decorate these! In regards to s.w.a.p.s. They are "small/significant whatchamacallits affectionately pinned somewhere" They are just small things you craft and put pins on and then trade wtih other girlscouts. If you google them its amazing all the variety that are out there!
Response: Yep, I know what they are. I was a GS leader for 10 years. Never heard of them spelled out that way. We just called them swaps. The scouts here in MI do an International Crossing, going over to Canada by ferry and meeting with scouts and doing swaps. Back in the day, they closed part of the bridge and the girls would walk back and forth from US to Canada and back. Before our time though.
Comment: Thank you for the items..I enjoyed the handmade envelope :) .Fyi, you forgot to write a note saying what swap this is for, not a big deal, just wanted you to know why it took me a little bit to rate you....
Response: Sorry about that, I found the note on my desk and was going to message you. Then I got sidetracked I guess. It's pretty bad when the swap host doesn't follow the rules :(
Comment: Hey Linda, I got this and the other deco for "One Deco Book - November" today... I'd actually received both of these decos before! I signed a page in the women theme deco. In your rolo deco, I had signed a page and passed it on previously (not sure to who) but the page is NOT in it! I'm not sure what happened with that. Unless you send out multiple identical Rolo decos? Or it came back full and you sent it out again empty? I'm not that concerned since we swap all the time (and I'm not sure what's going on with the Rolo page thing) but I wanted to give you a heads up so you can avoid this in the future.
Comment: Hi Linda, Thank you so much for the warm birthday wishes. I love the postcard, and I'll have to try the recipe! Today it is 68 degrees Fahrenheit and absolutely beautiful. I'm looking forward to spring! With every good wish for a happy and healthy life, Jane
Response: Sorry for the delay in responding. Enjoy the recipe!
Comment: I taught myself but most instructions are for right hand tatting. I can see how it might be really hard being left handed and trying to learn. My grandma tried to teach me crochet but I kept messing up the tension. In tatting tight tension is okay, guess it works for me better. Thank you for reading my profile and commenting. Merry Christmas.
Comment: Jaxon was so excited to get a present in the mail! Thank you for sending the 2 adorable Christmas ornaments, it made it easier to not have to cave in and let him open his present! we tucked it into the branches of our tree, and he will open it Christmas morning! you son did a fantastic job making those adorable ornaments!
Such a lovely swap, thanks so much! =D
Response: You and Jaxon are most welcome! And sorry....I thought I put down that Ethan is my grandson.....
Comment: Thank you for the... whatever it is! I popped it into my stocking. And a heart for the extras from my profile. I was actually starting to really be in need for some twist-ties, so this was great timing! <3
EDIT 12/26/15: I'm just now opening my stocking gifts. The mini notebook is just gorgeous! Thank you; it will be well loved and used.
Response: Great! I've had them in the baggie for a while....I think it's a family thing...my Mom always saved them in a basket in the cupboard. I was forever pulling something from the shelf and dumping them all over myself as a kid...lol!
Comment: Hi there thank you for the colorful mat! :D
Response: When I read your profile and saw you liked bright colors, I thought this was perfect. I'm not sure if you know, but it is a dish drying mat. I think I forgot to add that to my note. Thanks for joining the swap.
Comment: Thank you so much for the lovely envelope packed with goodies! I particularly love the PB pie recipe and the vintage table place setting card! I never thought to make envelopes out of old calendars and will be using this idea!
Response: You're welcome! Magazine covers work great and some magazine pages work well too
Comment: Thank you for the interesting finds from the thrift store scavenger hunt! I like the little pumpkin ornament :-) and the paper wreath thing is definitely unusual, lol. I like your idea for it, the red stones and ribbon... I may have to try that out, as well!
Response: I'm so glad you like everything. Enjoy it all!
Comment: I adore the apple coasters!!!!! I've never made any with CDs, but now I've gotta try. They come out looking so nice! And thank you so much for the websites! Funny enough, I've been looking into stuff like that lately. Thank you for a wonderful swap package! You truly brightened my day. <3
Response: You are most welcome! I have several hundred CD's. I was at a garage sale a couple years ago & they gave them to me. I found the apple pattern online, didn't like the way it turned out, so I made my own pattern for them. The pic on the swap page is a CD coaster also. Just do a search and see all the fun things to do with old CD's comes up! Hummm.....sounds like a swap idea!
Comment: TKU Institches for recipe card and your Dear Moms fabric. You are so kind
I love the Quick breakfast Croissants. We eat a lot of them here. I live in Quebec and they are famous for this. Even filled with jams and choc.....yummie

Comment: Mikayla loved everything in the bag! Thank you!
Response: You're welcome! When I got my mail today Ethan asked if there was anything for him. I told him that he had mail coming sometime this week. About 10 minutes he asked if his mail was here yet...lol..so he is impatiently waiting for his to come.
Comment: Thanks! Pretty deco! This arrived damaged in a post office spilled mail envelope, hopefully nothing was lot! :S
Response: Ug, I even asked them to hand stamp it and mark as non-machinable at the PO. There was something extra in there....I just can't remember what it was off-hand...something profile based is what I usually include.
Comment: Linda, thank you so much for your scavenger hunt swap. Love the fuzzy TY teddy bear, the angel teddy bear sticker, the fall buttons and the cow pattern fabric that I know I can make a doll outfit with it. Thank you, Shirley
Response: You're welcome and thank you for joining the swap!
Comment: Thank you, Linda, for all the pretty FBs that you sent. I see you have been hard at work, lol. When I read your note, I had to laugh. That would be like something I would do. I'll get as many of them sent on as I can. Now, I'm getting hit with a lot of them. Thanks again. Rebecca/pobuffy

Comment: Thank you so much for Including Emily!!! She will be so excited to open. Were doing this on Christmas Eve!! That was so sweet of you to send her a gift as well. If i could give you 5 hearts, I totally would!!
Response: You're welcome and I hope she likes what I made her. And thank you for joining the swap!
Comment: Thank you! Cute ornament, great frame! I might hang it on my door as my wreath this next Christmas. I keep debating on hanging one but do not want a large nail in my door, now I can use a tiny nail and have a sweet little wreath :)

Comment: Elijah just loved the bag you sent!!! I blew bubbles, he jumped around popping them, and Noah (10 months old) just giggled SO hard. I got it on video, too bad I can't attach it here. It was well loved, thank you. Oh, and the fruit snacks were the first thing to go-he eats those same ones all the time. And he insisted the wrappers go in his scrapbook. Lol. Thank you so much!!

Response: Thank you! I've been crocheting alot of years, so I guess practice make perfect...lol. Enjoy your soup!
Comment: Oops, I didn't rate when I got this and apologize profusely! The orange jello fluff sounds great - orange/citrus is probably my favorite desert flavor - What would happen if you made it in a bowl instead of a 9 x 13 pan?
Response: You'd have to scoop it out with a spoon instead of it being in squares I guess. Haven't thought about it or tried it either! If you do, let me know how it turns out.
Comment: Thank you for the very nice tote bag, great size and color. I opened my envelope in the car, couldn't wait to see, and left the tote there so I will be sure to have it when I need it. I really like the cute postcard too, thanks.

Comment: Macaroni and Cheese is my favorite food so when I saw the recipe, I was so excited!!! I also love that you included another recipe (which I am going to make for dinner tomorrow) and a few recipe cards. My husband owns a cupcake business so he stole the cupcake recipe card from me hahaha. Thanks so much!!!!

Most of us quilters hope that our fabrics will continue to bring joy to others. Thank you for hosting this swap, I love the collection of recipes I'm getting!

Comment: Thanks Linda, for the deco! I had to chuckle when I saw the pic. He's sexy! I thought it was the prince from Beauty and the Beast. The books I like by Datlow and Windling: "Snow White, Blood Red" (it's the first in a series of them), and "Black Thorn, White Rose"... Do you like Angela Carter? I have "The Bloody Chamber" that I'm trying to swap out. If you'd like it, pls let me know.
Response: I did an ATC with Prince Adam and my partner was melting! I've not read any of the books you mentioned.
Comment: I don't know what it is and I don't know what I can do with it. It seems to be ready already and I never heard of that and never saw it here in Germany as well. It would be great if you can tell me, what it is and how to use it normally. Thanks.
Response: It is from a wooden box that you put candles in. You changed out the front o the box with the different holidays/seasons. I was going to add some decoration to it and maybe a hanger.
Comment: Linda many thanks for my granny squares I received. They are so pretty. I am like you I have a box of those little balls to use up. For this exchange I refuse to use anything but the balls in that box. Jenny
Response: I could probably make hundreds..lol I'm glad you like them.
Comment: Got your package today! I love the pretty brown and gold fabric - I think I'm going to make a potholder out of it! :) Thanks for organizing this swap. I'm not sure about the candle box inserts yet, but I know I can come up with something to do with them!
Response: I loved the candle box inserts and glad they hopefully will get used for something. The potholder sounds so pretty!
Comment: What nice crochet! I wish I could do it. Thanks so much for taking the time to crochet the ornament. And the bell was a special touch.
Response: I love the little stockings. They make up really fast. When my kids were still in school, I had a teacher that bought them from me every year. She would put a pencil and a sucker in them for her students.
Comment: This is such a special ornament! I absolutely LOVE that it is all recycled! and the fact that it uses ribbon from your daughters wedding is so generous! It actually makes it more cherished! Thanks for such a lovely ornament!
Response: Your welcome. I made them for all the members of out families and they thought the same thing.
Comment: So Sorry it took me so long to rate you. I'm just getting things figured out and may have signed up for a few too many things on too many sites. Thanks for the coupons! They were great!!!!!!!!!
Response: You're welcome! I thought they may have gotten lost in the mail! Glad you could use.
Comment: Thanks Linda! Super thanks for resending the parcel after the first one is somewhere in postal cyberspace. And the contents look like so much fun! They will be great additions to Christmas creations. You deserve an extra 2 hearts!!
Response: Glad this one made it and thanks for the heart!
