Comment: thank you for the card! Aligators and crocodiles living together? SOunds like a terrible place.. I mean, I'm happy for them being able to co-exist in place in the world, but it sounds terrible from a human perspective :D
Comment: Love the classy postcards you sent and thank you so very much for the adorable fabric "paper dolls!" So unique and amazing! Comment: Thank you for the profile related note cards!! All really nice. We had a lovely autumn here too. We had our first freeze yesterday and today it was 70! Looks like the cooler days will be here to stay starting tomorrow though. Enjoy the weekend and thanks again! : )
Comment: My calligraphy is going alright, had to slow down on practicing recently as my arthritis made my ability to hold even a regular pen impossible. I love that green ink! It's super pretty. I just got a gorgeous iridescent blue that I can't wait to try out. <3 lee
Comment: OMG great envies - love the homes, the paper one and the family one. I also loved the way you packaged it - nice touch :-) I am the same way - can't stop at 2 or 3. A favorite type of swap for me both sending and receiving. Have a great day! Take care, Annette
Comment: Hi Karen! Thank you for the neat cards you sent for this swap. A mushroom! A fern! A kitty! Either you had everything I liked or you tailor-made it for me ;+) Love the koi image, too. I'll be using that in an art journal page.
Comment: Belated thank you, thank you for this charming Maxfield Parrish card (going on my moodboard!) -- I also love used bookstores :) -- and for the kind Swap-Bot-iversary greetings, Karen! I also hope your mailbox remains ever-full :)
Comment: I love, love, love this card. Many hearts to you! There is a Museum of Bad Art here in Seattle too, but it's really the back room of a dive cafe. I'd love to look into the one you are speaking of!
Comment: This was SOOOO very me: thank you for a lovely thoughtful swap full of goodness. :) The hedgehog stickers are some of my favorites, and I've been nervous to use them up, so they were a happy surprise. I think I'll be putting the fern card on my studio wall. Thanks for introducing me to the "lick and stick" stickers--I'd never seen any before now and they're so fun! I am excited to use the floral postal stationery to write letters to my mom (who also loves flowers and floral stamps), and the actual postage stamps are stunning! I don't think I've ever seen these particular designs in person before. Thank you very much for everything! ♥
Comment: Thank you very much, Karen. It is always nice to hear from you. Did I thank you for the last Coke points you sent me? I really appreciated them. Will try to get your Thank You note in the mail this week.
Glad you enjoyed making the inchies. I may have finally found a way to use those little, teeny, tiny stickers, lol. pobuffy
Comment: I totally loved your package! I see you read my profile before making - always a bonus and I appreciate not only the time you spent to make it look so perfect but also the little extras you sent from the kindness of your heart. Thank you so much for restoring my faith that some ppl on SB are actually putting as much effort into their packages as I am!
Comment: Thanks so much for the p/l I really liked everything. some great ideas for the goodies in the pockets. also that was very thoughtful of you to think of my granddaughter of course she loved the horse stickers Have a great day!
Comment: Karen, thank you so much for the Nantucket postcards. Envy that you went there. I truly miss Massachusetts, except for the cold weather. Congrats on going to all towns in Massachusetts. Gosnold is one I haven't heard of. Where did you get that great lighthouse postcard? Shirley
Comment: yay another prize to stuff away till Dec! Fun word search and pretty pic of moss creek! I need to build a rock wall like that. I have also been meaning to thank you for the very adorable Babs leap year photo! She is sooo cute.
Comment: Thank you for the stocking stuffer and an even bigger thanks for the great note card you made with the picture you took of the cemetery gate. It really touched me that you read my profile that closely and then created the card just for me.
Response: You're very welcome and thank you for the kind words. I enjoy sharing my photos when I get the chance.

Comment: Love the beautiful envies and the quotes are awesome - my favorite is the "the mountains are calling me I must go" - that would be me. Colorado, Utah and going northwest to see mountains are the places I love to visit and just have to go to :-) Take care, Annette
Comment: Thanks for all the great pocket fillers, Karen! Very cool animal cards and vintage airmail stickers. And the little perforated bits--are those faux fortune cookie fortunes? They are hilarious! :D
Comment: Thank you for such a great pocket letter! You really put time & effort into it. I like the colored-in map for the back side. It's so cool that you are visiting every city & town in your state! Thanks for sharing pics of your travels. The sand and the pressed penny are unique and fun items! I love the postage stamps & airmail labels. This is the best pocket letter I have received thus far!
Comment: Hi, Karen! So good to hear from you and see Babs again! Loved the picture of her at the "LOVE" monument. I miss hearing of your adventures. But you've visited a lot more cities! Thank you for the envelopes. I love 'em!
Comment: I love the kitty note cards!!! Yes, my life without my three cats would not be the same, that is for certain. I have never owned more than one cat at a time... the trouble with working at an animal shelter is that you want to take all of them home! =^,,^= Thank you for making me smile and I hope your kitties are well too.
Comment: ♥ Wow!!! This has to be the sunniest bunch of envelopes ever. Somehow yellow always makes me smile. Thank you for an abundance of smiles today. I appreciate you dilemma in choosing. I cannot pick a favorite.
Comment: My goodness, Karen - this was an AMAZING pocket letter tailor made for me!!! I absolutely love everything about it! Your letter is so interesting and your street art photos and the photo cat tag are wonderful! You put together a real treasure! Thank you SO much!
Comment: YOWZA! Your pocket letter is FABULOUS!!! I love it all...every single bit. The postage stamps are great, I don't own any of the washi you sent, and the business card from Toy Tokyo is superb. But my favorites? All the metro cards/tickets. Part of me wants to put them in a junk journal, but I don't want to dismantle the "whole". Does that make sense? And the VW bus magnet bookmark? DYNOMITE as JJ used to say. Kudos and thanks!!!
Comment: Oh I became so happy with this swap! The postcards are just so perfect to me, especially I really love the state postcards. These are exactly the kinds I am so fascinated about :D. And the cute stickers, and the cutest envelope, thank you so so much!
Comment: Thank you for showing that you read my profile and selected items from my wishlist! I love when that happens, even if it is small items, very kind and considerate! I loved the PCs and the little stegosaurus pin, and the squirrel tag is neat too!
Comment: I am so sorry I forgot to rate you! I put your envelope under a book on my end table so my dog wouldn't eat it (she likes paper!), and I forgot it was there! I'm so sorry! Thank you for the great stickers!
Comment: Hello Karen,
Thank you for some wonderful postcards to choose from for this Mash Up. I went through the postcards several times before I decided what I was keeping and what I was passing on. I am passing on some good ones I think. I will add some good ones too. Thank you for a great swap.
Comment: Hello Karen,
Thank you for getting the postcard to me on time. I appreciate the extra postcard for me to add to my own collection. It is a very nice postcard. I will get the postcard off to the next swap partner in R28.
Comment: Hello Karen,
Thank you for the beautiful cards you sent me as part of this scavenger Hunt.. These cards will be a great addition to my Notecard Collection. I loved the 4 cards you found for each of the categories you found for on the list.
Comment: Thank you for such a cute card! :oP It arrived today, on our 2nd day of spring-like weather. It was great being able to have the windows open and hearing the birds singing so clearly. I wore sandals to the dentist today. ;o)
Comment: Thanks for the great PC and facts Karen! I have always been fascinated by the Titanic and loved to watch "the Beverly Hillbillies" when I was a kid! I have not been to Branson either. I did visit my Nephew in Arnold, MO on my trip last year. I loved Roy Clark and Buck Owens on HeeHaw too. Hugs from Alaska, Sherry
Comment: Thank you so much for this cute postcard. I heard about the post office, but I didn't know about the workshop. the outfits are cute, but like you said, they may not wear them now. hope all's well with you and yours.
Comment: Hi Karen, yes... long time no see, but well worth waiting for. Love your cards, the big sleepy looking Cheetah, the red breasted grosbeak, and that lil black cat with the astonishly blue eyes (my fave).
I'm not actively doing the Month of Letters this year... got way behind with everything last fall, and am still trying to catch up... I do still keep in touch with a few old friends by snail mail - and will get back to letters here at sbot.... some time...
Comment: hi! Okay so I think your card came on saturday except mail at my place is extremely spotty at some times, and on saturday it came at 7 pm, and this postcard wasn't in it. And then this morning i opened the mailbox to put other things in and I saw your postcard sitting in the box so I'm not really sure how that happened. sorry! but Thanks for the great card!!
Comment: Thanks for your letter, I got it today :) And thanks for the extra card and the small American flag, I love them soo much :) I'm going to put the flag to my wall in a few minutes! :) Happy New Year!
Comment: Thankyou Karen for the beautiful flower photos, I love pansies they look so pretty. I love the humming mothon the flower, the photo is so nice. Thankyou Karen for the lovely card, have a nice day love Jennifer.
Comment: Thank you so much for remembering me on Stand-By-The-Grinch Day! I don't know about my heart growing 3 sizes, but my waist will definitely grow 3 inches on Thanksgiving! Lovely sentiment - a heart for you!
Comment: What a lovely postcard! I love cats, but this also looks like a nice place to be with the water and such. I bet my cats would love to play there!
The cat family on Instagram was a mother with 7 kittens. I hosted them until the kittens were old enough. I have two cats of my own. A male black and white cat and a 3colour/tortoise lady. Your Grays sound really nice :-)
Response: Oh my, 7 kittens! My daughter fostered a kitten in NYC then couldn't part with her. She ended up adopting. After all an apartment without a cat is not a home. :)
Comment: Thank you for the map of Massachusetts. We tend to just drive through on the way to New Hampshire or Vermont, but sometimes we do stick around for a longer visit. It's been a long time since I've been in Boston...I should try and get back. Thanks again!
Comment: First I want to say thank you for being part of the 1st swap I hosted, it has been a big success. Second, I loved your MA Map card, and think the vintage stamps, quote and stickers makes it perfect for my collection.
Comment: I loved the quote and will add it to my collection, Karen - thanks very much. I have never been further than Washington DC and Baltimore. I am facinated by the map and your wonderful state. Hope we cross paths again on SWAP BOT! Every best wish, Debbie Thurman (lifeisgood)
Comment: Thanks for the where's Waldo postcard! Today I found out that my son didn't know what Waldo looks like, he said that makes him a lot harder to find. Yes, my house is total chaos at times with 1 dog and 1 cat in the house, the cat usually rules!
Comment: Thank you so much for the Rockwell PC Karen...Doctor & the Doll is my Mom-in-Laws favorite print and has hung on her bedroom wall as far back as I can remember!!! It will be mine someday, so this PC can tide me over till that day!!
Comment: Wow, thanks for the beautiful Hotel Taft card and fun stamps! Isn't it amazing how much more glamorous one-color printing can be than full-color? I wouldn't mind staying at the new version either but have a feeling that won't be happening any time soon!
Comment: Hi Karen, Thank you for the lovely postcards and a big thank you for reading my profile and selecting from there. I love and appreciate the music cards, also van Gogh. Thanks also for the extras. :)
Comment: It sounds like you had a lovely time at Tanglewood. When I lived in Chicago, I used to go to Ravinia, the Summer home of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. It's one of the few things I miss. Thanks for a great card.
Comment: Great to hear from somebody from my old stamping grounds as you said. Would you believe people here have never heard that expression? The weather here has been in the 90's and humid. Yuk! This is not normal. I haven't made matching things for my granddaughter and her AG dolls, but I have made matching dresses for the girls. I have to update my profile now because Avery's sister Aubrey is 4 and has the Bitty Babies. Thank you for the nice note. Shirley
Comment: Karen, thank you for your gorgeous butterfly postcard, my first ever received. Hope you can find a copy of the Slummy Mummy, it really is a great read, I have had two copies of mine now 'stolen' never to be seen again.
Comment: Thanks so much for the baby raccoon postcard - I LOVE IT! :oD After reading your comments about "Surprise", I looked up "Embarrass", MN. That's up in the Iron Range area of the state - where Bob Dylan grew up. Their average mean temperature is 34.5 degrees! :oO I always assumed the coldest area was International Falls, which is up near the Canadian border. I also looked up my Silver Creek (there are two), and found 3 different population figures - and supposedly, they're all from census reports. Our town's home page says 2300, another site says 256, and one actually had the nerve to list our population as 0! Does that mean I don't exist? :o( That we're all figments of our imaginations? I don't know which one is correct, but the town proper is only two blocks long in each direction, and there aren't that many houses on any of them. This needs more checking into - time to call the town clerk and see if she knows where all those other people are! I always figured they were hiding their houses in the trees somewhere. See what you started, lol? If you look at a road atlas that lists all the cities and towns for each state, you'll find a lot of funny/strange names. ;o) I found that out when I used to collect pictorial cancellations. We don't have a zoo, but we have Maria State Park! :oP
Comment: You picked a place I've been to! And you're not missing much - lol. It's one of the few cities we've travelled to that didn't have much personality or culture to enjoy. I like the PC though! Thanks for sharing!
Comment: Hi Karen. Thank you so very much for your notecards!! Be sure to wave the next time you drive down 95 through Milford! Be sure to tell you hubby that I grew up in Franklin Square, NY also on Long Island! :)
Comment: I'm happy you had a raccoon card for me too - I love it, thank you so much! :oP At this time I have 3 young raccoons that eat up leftover birdseed in my driveway every night. I scared them really bad one night when I pulled into the driveway in the middle of the night. They freaked, and I felt so bad. :o( My sister lives in "Coon Rapids" - I kid you not! :oP
Comment: There is a quote I like :" You cannot be tense while looking at a sleeping cat" For sure! I like the rubber stamp too -- I got one a couple years ago and it gets a lot of use! Thanks for a great swap!
Comment: I received your PC while on holiday...where I saw loons in Lake Michigan! :) They are certainly a cute pair of loons! I have seen the Johnny Cash stamps (I put a listing up on the forums and someone sent a postcard with The Man in Black's stamp :)) and I would like to pick up a set of them when I go to the post office next! Thanks for the great card!
Comment: thank you for the great card, the yummy recipe and the great postage stamps. I still eat hot dogs every once in awhile. I haven't eaten baked beans in years. I do eat a Greek bean soup at least once a week. mmmmm...
Comment: Hi Karen - Many thanks for your nice note and really fun stack of cards. In case the pc intervention does happen, let me know if you need me to send a letter of support. Ha! :) P.S. Loved the cat envie, too. Thanks!
Comment: Thank you for the WONDERFUL selection of envelopes - I might not be able to send the cute cate one out (smile). Yes, I agree, making envelopes is addicting. In fact, I made a bunch more this past weekend, so it may already be time for another swap - LOL.
Comment: AH I LOVE that postcard that you sent. The matching stamps are priceless! Thank you for the compliments for my fur babies. My cats are awesome. My puppers is so ugly he's cute. He's 3/4 Deer Chihuahua and 1/4 poodle which is where the floppy ears come from :D
IF he didn't have those ears, I never would have brought him home... lol
Comment: Excellent postcards & thank you for the extra! Its also very nice of you to wish me well, so kind of you. :o) I will be seeing a specialist in 2 weeks about my pain and hopefully I'll know more about what's going on then. :o) Thank you!
Comment: I really love the lighthouse card. It would be great to have the original! My friend will love the Mountie card! It's an especially gorgeous card too. I wish I had been at the antique show with you! These are great cards!
Comment: Thanks, Karen for the great cards! I'll be sending that Klimt along to my sister in Montreal, she is a huge fan of K. I've never seen that painting before. Love the owl collage, what a great idea!
How are you doing on your project to visit all the towns & cities in Mass?
Comment: Thank you for birthday wishes! I believe those geese are Sebastopol Geese. I love their curly feathers. I had a chicken like that once. I named it Curly Sue, then it turned out to be a boy! I left his name as Sue because there is precedent!
Response: You're welcome and thanks for giving me the name of the geese. I looked them up on line and enjoyed looking at some more pictures. Your comment about your rooster Sue made me smile. Thanks for the heart.
Comment: Thank you so so so much for the zebra goodies! I have already started putting the note cards to use. The handmade collage of "4"s from around Boston is just perfect. I have a good friend who's moving from here in Virginia to Boston this month and this collage will be an added addition to my craft corner :) Again, thank you!!
Response: I am so happy you liked your zebra goodies and photo collage. I like the way the photo came out. So does my husband. He wants me to make an 8x10 copy, frame it, and hang it on the wall. It isn't even our lucky number! Thanks for the heart.
Comment: Karen, thank you so much! I love your envie! (Thanks for reading up about me!) I've been trying to get my hands on some airmail envies and the ones you made are soooo awesome! The stamps are new to me too! Thank you! ♥
Response: I am happy you are pleased with your envies. I can't take credit for making the air mail envies though only the kraft paper ones. Thanks for the heart.
Comment: Thank you for a nice selection of postcards. It sounds like you have a lot of postcards. I do also, but I like it though, because it is like I am traveling the world when I look at my postcards.
Response: Thank you for the nice comment. If collecting postcards is my only vice I think I am doing okay. :D Thanks for the heart.
Comment: Karen - The PCs you sent bring back so many wonderful memories for me. I lived in Boston when I was a young woman and fell in love with the city. I loved the swan boats and am very familiar with Copley Sq. . .as well as the Beacon Hill area. Thank you so very much for the PCs and the memories :-)
Response: I am glad I could bring back some happy memories. I didn't get to the Swan Boats but I did have a pleasant stroll along the Rose Kennedy Greenway and the Boston Harbor Walk.
Comment: you had me at the mermaid PC i love love looooove love alll of it the PC are reaally my style, it took a while to lift my jaw from the floor thats how happy your package made me....really :) thank you so much swap anytime
Response: Thank you for your comment. It makes my day when I hear that I sent something that makes my partner so happy.
Comment: Thank you for the lovely PC! I have been there a couple times and really like it! Thanks for the interesting facts :) We're all thinking of and supporting Boston from over here in Colorado! You're in our thoughts. Take care.
Response: I'm glad you liked the pc. Thank you for your support of Boston. It was a horrible end to an almost perfect day. Senseless!
Comment: Thank you so very much for your most wonderful swap that I received today. I loved everything you sent and thanks for thinking of my cats. They are already playing with the toys and so is my dog. LOL! Hugs to you and have a wonderful evening.
Response: I am so happy to hear that you and all your four legged family members enjoyed this swap. Give them all a pat on the head for me. Thanks for the heart.
Comment: I got my box today and it is wonderful. Packed with so many goodies, all of which are perfect picks for me. I need to go shopping with you, my thrift stores aren't as good as the ones you visited. Of all the things you sent, my favorite is the lttle box with the owl on it. Thank you for finding it for me. Thank you for everything. You were very generous and I would give you more than 1 heart if I could.
Response: I am so glad to hear you liked everything. I had to make several passes to fill the box. It's funny the first thing I found was the owl box. It was the only thing I found that day and I was a little worried about finding anything else. It is a good thing we have several places to shop around here and new items are added all the time. Thanks for the heart.
Comment: What wonderful artsy PCs for this swap! I love them all but especially the Abbott & Costello - they were just too funny!! And thanks also for the Massachusetts Capitol - it goes right into my collection :-)
Response: As a kid I loved watching Abbott & Costello on Saturday afternoons. I'm happy I could add to your capital collection. Thanks for the heart.
Comment: Lovely photo! I love finding unusual treasures like that in unlikely places. Thanks so much for sharing it with me!
Response: I am happy I had my camera with me. I hardly ever leave the house without it now. My daughter promised me we would go on an architectural detail hunt this summer in Brooklyn. Yah. I am looking forward to it. Thanks for the heart.
Comment: I LOVE the window pictures, especially the NYC one. It did make me think "Spring" the minute I saw it -- and I lived in NY for 12 years, so it brought back some very happy memories. The old barn makes me want to see what's inside -- love old things. And the crane origami -- wow! Thank you for a WONDERFUL swap!
Response: You're welcome. I'm happy you enjoyed the pictures. I as I recall the barn window was too high to look into but I peeked into the other side and was disappointed that the barn was nearly empty. No old wagons or farm equipment. I too like old things. When I was a kid there was an old farmer down the street with an old barn complete with a couple of horses, tractors, hay, old milking equipment, wooden floors and a cellar. It was a great place to explore. Wow talk about bringing back memories. :) That origami crane had me wondering just how many people they needed to fold the paper? Thanks for the heart.
Comment: ☺ How sweet of you to make a Pooh envelope for me!! Thanks for the great photos. Particularly l♥ve the crane (I've folded more than 1,000 of them). The shop window in NYC reminded me of a window I meant to include when I sent my swap. So many choices! LOL!! (Also love how you printed them -- what kind of paper is that? Like a postcard.)
Response: I'm happy you liked your envie. My daughter tried to fold 1000 cranes. I don't think she ever made it but I would find little cranes all over the house ! The photo paper I use is Blue Leaf. I don't think it is made any more under that name. ( I look online and couldn't find it) I found a stash of it at my local discount store and once I tried it I went back and bought all they had. It will be a sad day when I run out. :( You are right it is hard to choose which photos to send. Thanks for the heart.
Comment: Thank you for some wonderful items! LOVE the washi tape!
Response: I am glad you liked your items, the washi tape was a nice design. Thanks for the heart. BTW my daughter lives fairly close to you on 17th st. I now have Disney's It's a Small World playing in my head. LOL
Comment: Karen, this is great! Thanks so much! How funny to live in a time when there was a warning to not attempt to light with match! Can you believe people lived with gas lines running through their houses to light for lamps?! Makes you wonder what odd things we're living with today that will be looked at and laughed at in the future?! LOVE the postcard!!
Response: I'm so happy you like the postcard. I'm sure furture generations will be laughing at us too. Thought I am still waiting for my Jetson vehicle. What is taking so long for that? :) Thanks for the heart.
Comment: Hi Karen, Thank you so much for the great selection of B&W cards, love them all. It's hard to believe that Jack Kennedy has been gone for 50 years now~! I am for sure getting old.
Pretty little note card... what could be better than irises and black cats!
Response: You're welcome. I was thinking the same thing about JFK. You are right about the note card too. Got to love those black cats. Thanks for the heart.
Comment: Thank you for the PC! To answer your question, yes, I can win. My last PC pokers the winner got PCs from everyone else. I would have accepted that prize, but since this is a custom doll prize if I won I'd declare the next person in line the winner. Good luck!
Response: You're welcome. Thanks again for hosting and thank you for the heart.
Comment: 24" inches oh yuck, i really hate shoveling. but at least it tends to be a little warmer after the snow falls. thank you for the great wc fields card. he looks really skinny in this one. i didn't even recognize him
Response: I'm glad you liked the postcard. It is snowing here again. Third weekend in a row. At least this is suppose to be only a few inches this time. I'm a little disappointed with Punxsutawney Phil. He got me thinking about an early spring.
Comment: I absolutely loved the colorful postcard! and the cat toys-- well, my cats instantly were happy and played for a long time with them. Big Hit! :) thanks so much for a wonderful mail day surprise. I'd give you more hearts if I could! :) THANK YOU!!!
Response: I am glad you liked the postcard and I am happy I made your cats happy. I drive my cats crazy when I pull out the catnip to make the toys. They are so simple I make batches of them for my friends cats. There are a lot of happy cats out there. :D Thank you for the heart.
Comment: What a nice variety of pcs - thank you. It took a bit to find that ladybug, but once you know it's there - your eye is drawn to it every time. I think the flowers are campanula or bellflower - that's my best guess :)
Response: I'm glad you liked the postcards. I think you are right about the bellflowers. Thanks for the heart.
Comment: I love the LOTR quotes http://www.fandominstitches.com/ I'm doing a picture quilt of that quote.. Babs is a brillinat idea, good luck for the quest. Thankyou for sharing
Response: Thank you for the website. It looks interesting. I am sending the info to my daughter. I am sure she will like it. She is a big Dr. Who fan. The weather of late hasn't been good for venturing out with Babs. I am looking forward to spring. Thanks for the heart and good luck with the quilt.
Comment: Thank you for the cards! I really really love the envelope you sent them in though. Is that a page from a book? It's wonderful!
Response: Yes the envelope is from a childrens' book. I buy slightly beat up paperback books at the thrift store and make the envelopes. It can be addicting so I try not to go too often. :D I love the way they come out and now I hate to send white envelopes if I can help it. Thanks for the heart.
Comment: Thank you for the clever Babs photo. It reminds me of my former belly dance teacher's habit of photographing Blinky, a squishy LED toy, wherever she traveled. :)
Response: My co-workers thought I was a little "off" when I started taking the pics of Babs. Now on Monday morning they ask where we went over the weekend and are dissapointed if I have nothing new to show them. LOL Thanks for the heart.
Comment: Hi Karen, thanks for the gulls hovering postcard and for sharing some of your history with me. I have recently sent on some pieces of my history as well in these swaps, which is kind of a cool feeling. Have fun in NYC when you visit your daughter! Regards, Cynthia
Response: Thank you for the nice comment and the heart.
Comment: Hi Karen, thank you very much for the interesting postcards. I am glad I was paired up with someone else who enjoys non-touristy cards. I totally get the grab deals when I find them. I do that too, but I buy my cards mostly online. I couldn't resist Pomengranate.com's jumbo collections, and I was not disappointed. All the best, Cynthia
Response: I'm glad you liked the pcs. I just looked up pomegranate.com. It is nice to find another scource for postcards. Thanks for the heart
Comment: Oh Karen! What a great bunch of postcards! And the envie is to-die-for! How very creative of you. Thanks for a great swap! ~~ I hope you had fun visiting your daughter. Mine lives out of town too. :-(
Response: I am glad you like the pcs. The envelope was made from a page of a childrens book. The book had great illustrations. I did have a nice visit, can't wait until the time. Thanks for the heart.
Comment: Hi Karen, thanks very much for the cool dog looking out the window postcard. You are probably wise to read your mail before entering your home. Sometimes, I come home to a stack of postcards and envies and packages from swaps and stuff and I cannot think of a better way to de-stress after my work day than to go through all my fun mail. But no, it is not allowed, and my desire to do this gets quashed immediately. You see, I have a four legged roommate of the canine variety who puts her foot...er...paw down and insists that I get my priorities straight and go for a walk. I am sure that the walk is good for de-stressing too and no doubt she would take the position that she is only thinking of my welfare by insisting on it. :-) Regards, Cynthia
Response: I love your comment. It made me smile. I told my daughter when she went off to college I was going to replace her with a dog. I love dogs , had them for years, but I'm not sure I want to go for walkies in the winter again. lol Cats are so easy. Thanks for the heart.
Comment: Thanks for the painting of *h*aymaking - Gauguin is a favorite artist of mine - and I love your OOTB thinking. Have you read Moon and Sixpence by W. Somerset Maugham? It's based on Gauguin's life.
Response: I will check my library for the book. I'm glad you liked the pc. Thanks for the heart.
Comment: I agree... either theme works! I've been to all of the places in these postcards. And I love your storybook pages envie. Thank you!
Response: Glad you liked them. I got a little carried away with making envelopes but my local church thrift store was selling kids books for 15 cents. I couldn't fight the temptation and bought a few. The illustrations are very nice and I hate to send out white envelopes now.
Comment: I LOVE the PCs you selection, especially Peter Pan - it goes right into my collection! The Empire State Building one with all the facts is so interesting. . . and I love the Chrysler Bldg elevator door - how exquisite! Thanks again for the great selection of PCs! Have a wonderful holiday season and hope to 'see' you next year ~~
Response: I am so happy you liked them. I too love the elevator doors of the Chrysler Building. This past fall I was in NYC and went to Macys. Macys also has some really nice elavator doors. I took a picture of them. I love the architectural details in the old buildings. Thanks for the heart. Happy New Year
Comment: WOW - this is surely one of the most amazing cards I have ever laid my eyes upon!!!!! Oh, I love it, thank you :) :) And the thoughtful extra stickers really made my day too :D You're a sweetheart! Happy Holidays!
Response: You're welcome. Thanks for the heart. Happy New Year.
Comment: Cutest card, miss my cat though. Thanks for the nice greeting on it.
Response: I know what you mean about missing a cat. We have had a couple of very special cats and even though they have been in kitty heaven for some time we still miss them. Happy Holidays thanks for the heart.
Comment: Very nice package. I love these color swaps. Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving. ( luv peppermint patties)
Response: So glad you liked your package. I was looking for a small package of Hershey Kisses when I spotted the peppermint patty> I went home to check your profile and found you love them! Thank you for the heart. Happy Holidays
Comment: Thank you for the great little chipmunk postcard and lovely note that you wrote to me. Chipmunks have long been one of my favorite little creatures. We used to have one that lived under our front porch and my kids named "him" Chippy Monkey. Jadiepie sends regards to The Grays!
Response: I wish we had a chipmunk living under the front porch. We have a woodchuck! The chipmunks live in the backyard near the birdfeeder of course. Give Jadiepie a scratch under her chin for me. Thanks for the heart.
Comment: I really like Charley Harper's art :) and your fortune pc brought a a smile and happiness to me!
Response: I too really like Charley Harper's art. I think I vaguely remember it from books as a kid and just rediscovered it with a book from the library.I was happy to find his post cards on line. Keep smiling and thanks for the heart.
Comment: I'm so glad that you and your daughter are safe after Hurricane Sandy. We are also fortunate to have weathered the storm without any difficulty. I cannot imagine what it must be like to rebuild after such total destruction. Thank you for your card. It's perfect!
Response: Thank you for the heart and glad you are ok too.
Comment: Thank you for the Boston Ducklings postcard! One half of my family lives in your area and we would visit them every summer. I remember seeing these statues as a kid. What great memories it brought back! Thank you!
Response: I am happy the post card brought back memories. Thanks for the heart.
Comment: Hi Karen -- I ALWAYS enjoy a note with the postcards in an envie! And yours did not disappoint! And these are such unique postcards -- my heartfelt thanks! And you're so right about not needing a Niagara Falls card :-)
Response: Thanks for the heart. I'm glad you liked your postcards and little note. I like the challange of finding the postcards for the swaps. Yours till Niagara Falls ! LOL
Comment: Great photos! Loved the round tower and the angel monument. And the historical graves were very interesting. Hope to get out that way to check them out in person someday. What photo paper did you use, or did you have them printed somewhere? They came out much more professional-looking than the ones I printed out for this swap. Thanks again!
Response: I am glad you liked your photos. I printed them myself on Blue Leaf paper. I did a quick look online and the company seems to be selling hp paper now. I did get the photo paper at a discount store so it may not be available any more. I bought all they had because I liked the quality . So I guess I will have to experiment with other brands when I run out. I'm not happy with that thought. :( I will be visiting your little town someday in my quest to visit all 351 cities and towns in MA. Thanks for the heart and happy swapping.
Comment: Karen, your swap has MADE MY WEEK! It has been ages since I last went to NY and broadway that is, and your playbill has brought back alot of memories... so thanks so much for it and for the lovely card and note. Merci!!!!!!!!
Response: WOW I am so happy to make your week. This was a great example of one man's trash is another man"s treasure. It was a pleasure to pass along the program to you. Thanks for the heart.
Comment: I loved them. Especially the card from New York and the London cat.
Response: I am happy you liked the postcards. I have to go back to the store to see if they have any more of the London cat cards. That card has been a hit with everyone. When I look at it I can hear the voice over guy , in my head, advertising a bad sci-fi film. lol
Comment: Thank you! I love all the postcards you sent. The butterfly is gorgeous. I would love to walk through the place you told me about and see all the butterflies.
Response: You are welcome. Thank you for the heart. I think I will have to go back to the butterfly place too. To see the joy and wonder in faces of the kids that go is worth the trip. I checked online and the closest indoor butteryfly place to you is at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, GA. If you are ever in the neighborhood you should go.
Comment: W O W ! ! ! ... I was totally blown away by the ABC package.. I wish I could give more than one star because this swap should get at least 1000.... So many interesting items...! I had never seen the gum or cookies.. or nail file items before.. and Dearly love the tiny animals.. they will fit nicely in my printers box.. You were sooooooo very Cleave with the letter " X "... and I've never tired those crackers before.. but will in just a moment.. I loved the way you packaged this swap.. but I was very sorry to see the postage... I do wish to thank you so very much... You have made my rather sad day... so much better.. HUGS A BIGGG BUNCH Karen... such a great name.. my daughter's name is also Karen.. I hope you enjoyed the swap as much as I have... cj <3
Response: I am so happy you enjoyed everything. I went on a hunt in the grocery store to find the cookies. I knew there had to be something there with the letter x ! The tiny animals came from our local zoo. They have a nice gift shop with animal related items. The postage was kind of a shock but I had it all packaged and didn't want to take anything out so off it went. I did have fun putting this swap together and you are right Karen is a great name ! lol
i received the package today thank you for the great charms, the shells, and the key tags, Anisha has already added them to her school bag and she cannot wait to show them off tommorrow to her friends.
Response: I am glad you liked the charms and Anisha liked her key tags. I am happy I could share with the both of you :)
Comment: Excellent card!! Tell me--Are those tubes of glue on the floor? LOL Thanks for thinking of me!
Response: No the glue is in a very nice display. The box was destined for the cardboard dumpster to be recycled. Some of my coworkers will now ask me if I want something before they throw stuff in the dumpster. We get some really pretty sale posters that I have made into envelopes. Hey just doing my part to recycle :D
Comment: Wow! Thanks for all the great supplies. You totally hit the nail on the head with PCs I love! And nice bonus pcs ;) the photos are sooo cute I will have to keep them. Thanks also for notebook, pens, very cute stickers, and pc book too. Many hearts :)
Response: I am so glad you enjoyed every thing! I just came home from Brooklyn. While there I went to the Prospect Park Zoo. No capybara but they had the cutest meercats.
Comment: Whoa crazy mail nonsense! Well whatever hoops needed to be jumped through to get it here, thank you for the PC. I use gorilla glue all the time (not enough to get a giant cardboard box of it though) :)
Response: There are a few perks( if you call saving a box from the dumpster a perk) if you work in the right place! Have you tried the duct tape? It is awesome if the adhesive doesn"t pull the skin off your finger tips while using it ! :D
Comment: Thank you for the wonderful somethings! I had so much fun opening the package and going through everything! It's all wonderful and will be put to good use. I had to take time to play with the little toys right away when I saw them, along with the little bottle that I can't help but to move every now and then. Thank you so much for a fabulous assortment of 'somethings'
Response: I'm so happy you liked your items and I'm glad you had time to stop and play! Btw the sand in the bottle is from Cape Cod. My husband thought I was crazy when I pulled a zip lock bag ot of my pocket to collect it. I told him it was for a craft and he just rolled his eyes and let me be.
Comment: I LOVE EVERYTHING! I don't know what to start with first! The stamps are so beautiful and unique I love them. The envelope from 1930 that was mailed to 500 5th Avenue NY, a building that I have passed by millions of times and is next to Bryant Park a park very special to me. I love the little dog stuff animal and am so excited to make one! I love the interesting fabrics and I will be making little coin purses out of them! I have never seen this kind of tea in N.Y. and I’m really excited to try it. Yes, sometimes you can find interesting tea from all over the world in N.Y. but the price can be ridiculous so thank you!! Thank you so much for this package I wish I could give you 5 stars because this package really made my day!
Response: It makes me happy that you are so happy. I really enjoyed putting this swap together.
Comment: Thanks for sharing some of your awesome notecards collection with me Karen :D I love them all, but I think the vetruvian stickman and the thumb-print ones are my faves. And yes, Arts & Crafts do indeed keep you sane :D
