Comment: Thanks for the book recommendations! I haven't actually read any of the books on your list (actually I may have read Ender's Game a long time ago but don't remember it) and both The Golden Compass and Ender's Game were on my list of books to read (so I could be "with it" when talking to the students I work with.)
Comment: Wonderful -- You got a lot of info in a small space. I hope you'll find time to write poetry again and at least have a good visit to the UK again. I've never been to Glacier Nat'l Park but am sure I'd love it -- I love mountains.
Comment: Thanks for the Magnetic Hill PC! I think there is something like that here in PA also, I remember my daughter talking about it, maybe in the Lancaster area. I'll have to ask her! But I do know she said it really worked :D
Comment: Thanks for the card and stamp! I was in New Mexico in February for an academic conference. The weather was amazing -- like 60 degrees. And I came from 15 degree weather in Northern Utah. It was snowing when I boarded the plane. It was a glorious week of warm weather. :D
Comment: Rebecca, thank you for the postcards of New Mexico and the notecard. You live in a land very different from mine. You have wonderful sand and we have yucky clay. It is so hard to grow things. Shirley
Comment: Oh Rebecca. I don't even know how to begin to rate your ATCs. A 5 and heart just isn't enough. I was absolutely blown away by your hand-drawn work. The sheep just made my day. Love them sooo much. Thank you so much too for this awesome gift! And for the hot air balloon postcard! It looks so awesome. And one day I would love to see the hot air balloon festival!
Comment: Hi and thank you for the beautiful extra-postcard. I like balloons. I once didn't get a secretary-job I had applied for as in a test I couldn't type "Albuquerque" right. But in the end this was good as shortly afterwards I got a much better job!
Comment: What a great PC!! Although I've been to NM many times I never went over this bridge! Isn't it nice when a PC brings back good memories - I always enjoy seeing one that evokes great memories for me, and I love getting PCs from people like you that tells me of their memories that relate to the PC. Thanks for the great PC and for sharing your memories ~~
Comment: I love the postcard you sent and I'm sure that everyone who sees it will love it too. I'm so happy I get to be in the number one slot but sad because I won't get to see all the places it will travel to. It's a win win. Happy New Year.
Comment: Hello Rebecca,
it is exciting to meet someone else that lives in Albuquerque that is on Swap-bot. Thank you for the B is for Bear postcard. It is a pretty postcard. It will be a great postcard for this series.
Comment: Great PC of SF Chinatown - it's always interesting to see views from 'then and now'. I've never been to Chinatown in SF, but used to go to Chinatown in LA and also in Boston when I lived in those areas. . . always have the best food!!! Thanks for the great PC and happy swapping ~~
Comment: Gee, I hit the jack-pot w/your sending 2 cards, Rebecca! Thanks very much-love them both! Really cool to see what Mt. Rushmore looked like before G. Borgland did his thing! And my husband really likes the Little America card! Eons ago he worked at their Cheyenne, WY location. I have to go look up Granger, WY -- never heard of it! thanks much, Carol
Response: That is so cool that it was meaningful to your hubby. We had a lot of fun visiting there.
Comment: This is an awesome postcard!! I spent two weeks in northern Idaho and Washington in August -- I had huckleberry everything, too! Even beer! Did not see this postcard though -- yay!! So glad to have it for my collection!! Thank you for joining the swap!!! : )
Comment: Thank you so much! This site is really one of the few in the US that are not that plentiful, another, The Everglades, LOL I plan on making a trip down there when it cools off just to get some cards, LOL
Comment: Thanks so much, Rebecca! I LOVE the adorable lovey dovey owls. Yes, I am LDS. :) Are you a member of the LDS swappers group? If not you should join us. Find the link to it on my profile page. Have a great day!
Comment: Pretty card--thanks much! Hard to go wrong in SFO-so many fun things to do and see there. Weather isn't the best in the summer (but it's really great in the fall though) -- I have a jacket I bought there one summer years ago that I still wear a lot and when people see the San Francisco patch on the front they'll say - "Oh! I have one just like that!" I hope you had good weather on your trip-thanks again for the card!
Comment: Nothing like a cowboy - I love them!!! I'm from SD and we had lots of ranches and cowboys there too - think that's when I fell in love with cowboys : ) Thanks for the great PC and happy swapping ~~
Comment: Thanks for the postcard. It is my first one of South Dakota.
A few days ago my husband was doing a trivia quiz with our 12 year old son and my son answered a question about Mount Rushmore. It is not something that many Australians would know about (except if they watch "The Simpsons")
Yesterday your card arrived. My husband can't believe that when we talk about something in our house a relevant postcard arrives a few days later.
Response: That is such a cool story! I'm glad I was inspired to send the right one!
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful card, I can never remember which one is which :P I think I heard that a good tip is stalagmites (with a g) grow from the ground and stalactites (with a c) grow from the ceiling. At least I think that's how it goes :P
Response: I've heard that; I learned that they are "tight" to the ceiling and they "might" grow all the way to the ceiling. Both ways help you to remember but your way helps you to spell too!!
Comment: What a lovely card! Thank you so much-my first card from New Mexico-very exciting :) Also, thank you so much for using awesome stamps! Definitely one of my favorite cards I have received from swap-bot!
Comment: Thank you for the gorgeous post cards. Who knew there were so many pretty things there! I really love the hot air balloon one the most I think. Now to figure out which ones I'll share with my niece :D
Comment: What a cute photo of the Albert's Squirrel! Thanks so much for the card and the info. Sorry about the delay in rating you. I had gotten some of my cards mixed up and thought I had already rated for this swap. ~Gail
Comment: Thank you for the great mix of postcards! Wow- those hot air balloons are pretty neat. I bet it's an awesome event to see in person. And thanks for the rabbit postcard. He has big ears..hehe. Thanks again! Happy Fall!
Comment: Thank you for the very pretty card! My mom is actually from Hawaii, but I don't have any cards from there! It's very funny that you are headed to SF. I hope you are having a good time here in CA :)
Comment: Thanks for the great map postcard. Sorry to be so late in rating. I had to purchase a new computer and wait for the internet provider to hook it up. Then my family had to help me with some things. Your swap partner, Linda

Comment: Holy moly! Some of the cards you sent me are even cooler than I'd imagined! What a great bunch of cards. Thank you so much for swapping with me. I really had a great time doing it. And thank you for the extras. The package actually arrived a couple days ago, but I've been so swamped with work, this was my first chance to get on here and rate you for it. Thank you so much!
Comment: Thanks for the card! Very interesting color on the many stalactites and few stalagmites. Good thing they have the "bat cave" off limits. You'd have to have an umbrella. Eww! Have a great week!
Comment: Thank you so much for the card. Is it normal to get snow in New Mexico?
Response: Depends what part of NM. Some parts get lots of snow, some very little. Almost everywhere is capable of getting at least a tiny bit. Albuquerque get snow every winter but it doesn't last long. The mountains surrounding the city has a ski run on it.
Comment: Thank you so much for the beautiful postcards. I'll never be able to part with them. It was sweet of you to include an extra of White Sands, and I really appreciate your notes about each postcard. The AZ notecard you wrote on should have been a postcard! It's too funny! Thank you very much. It was a pleasure swapping, and I'd be happy to do it again.
Comment: Thank you for the adorable little birdies ATC! I love it!! So charming, and perfect for me :) Thank you also for the postcard - I have heard of the Albuquerque balloon festival - that must be quite a sight!
Comment: Hello Rebecca- thanks for the great map card of Arizona. This map card is especially nice, and Arizona seems to be a hard map for me to get. I hope you are having nice weather down where you are. Best wishes, Debbie Christian
Comment: Neat card--thanks! I've been to the Great Sand Dunes in south-central Colorado, but never to White Sands Natl. Monument. Better put it on my list!
Response: I have been to Great Sand Dunes, and no offense to you as a Coloradoan, but White Sands is waaaaaay better!! Not as big of dunes, but much more fun to play on!! And the white sand is awesome!! There are other great things in the area too. Alamogordo has a great space museum and Carlsbad Caverns is not too far away!
Comment: I LOVE my Dios los muertos dotee!!!!!! And getting that gorgeous fabric has made me want to try my hand at sewing something.....Love the skull and crossbones charm too, I'm getting bits and pieces together for a handbag charm and that will totally go on it!
Response: Glad it all arrived safe and sound and that you are enjoying it! We love the puppy you made for us!!!
Comment: I love the postcard! I have only seen pictures of those owls. We used to have an owl living in a tree at our previous house here. We just returned from 2 weeks in Alberta and we saw a lot of birds and wildlife. Thank you again.
Comment: Thank you so much for the Golden Spike Historic Site. While it wasn't very "natural", I like the story behind it, since I love historical events. It would have been so amazing to have been there after all that hard work to join the railroads.
Comment: HA! You scared the devil out of me when I saw you sent 2 ATC's - I thought I misread the swap since I knew I'd only sent 1! I love them both, you did a great job and should be proud, never be intimidated by anyone. Really. I appreciate you did something from my profile. Truly a lovely swap, thanks again :)
Response: I'm glad you like them! they were fun to do. And your art is amazing. I hope I am on the receiving end next time!!!
Comment: *****Thanks so much for the great package, the dotees are fantastic and I love all the fabric and the Route 66 stuff you send. My boyfriends mom loves the magnets :) ***** Hope we will swap again!!!
Response: I am glad it got to you OK! And I am glad you like everything. I will be sending a few more things soon! Your dotees are the BEST!!!
Comment: Rebecca, thanks for the awesome PC of the Native American dolls, very cool! Thanks for the info you wrote on the back too, and thanks for participating in my swap - hope you had fun and received some great PCs :) Maggie x
Comment: What a great card! I would love to go see Acoma Pueblo. I've visited Albuquerque a number of times but always for a show and never had any extra time to just explore some of the sites down there.
Comment: Thank you for the wonderful postcards from New Mexico, I love them all! I have visited Santa Fe and Socorro in New Mexico, but I have not had the opportunity to visit any of the lovely spots the postcards show - I will have to try to do so some day soon. Thank you also for all the great information, particularly about the Farolitos. Anna
Comment: Thank you! I really liked these cards! The cactus on the car was funny and I didn't have cards from either of the two UNESCO sites so I was happy to receive them. Also thanks for the extra card! :-)
Comment: Oh my goodness! My teeth hurt from the sweetness! You did such a GREAT job! The little owls are so adorable and the little hot dog is my favorite. And I loved how you wrapped everything in fabric and selvages! Yay! Thank you so much for spoiling me!
Response: I am so glad they arrived safe and sound! And thrilled that you like my little hot dog. I thought he was pretty cute too! I so desperately wanted to make you something that was specific to you. I will try and save selvages for you, can you tell me what size you need?
Comment: Thankyou rebecca for the lovely creative Holiday Pages -A Valentine. I love how you done the beads. The owl is cute and the little book is nice. a lovely page. Thankyou for the extras and love the card, and tigger and piglet, love Jennifer.

Response: I am glad you got it and that you like it! I was excited when I saw that you wanted a bison card!
Comment: Rebecca, Oh what a wonderful postcard! Hope your son's "Pollinator" is going well....Thanks so much! Lynnie
Response: SO glad that you liked the card. Almost all of his plants made it through the first season. It is in a public area so there is no water and they had to be xeric plants. We'll see what pollinators come out in the Spring!!
Comment: Thank you for the postcard! I've had the travel bug lately and am dying to head out west - unfortunately, I'm stuck in college at the moment. :) So it's nice to at least see it in the postcards!
Comment: Your handmade postcard is lovely - and I appreciate that you were so thoughtful about what I might find interesting! The postcard will be going up in the house as a seasonal decoration, and reminder of my 'homeland' :^)
Response: I am glad you liked it. It was fun to make and hard to mail off. Have a great Christmas!!
Comment: 7 cards!!! 2 extra cards for me and all the cards are SO colourful, thank you SO much =) Your choices for me are great! I love them and thank you for describing each card :) Well tomorrow I will send you something ;)
Response: I am glad that you enjoy them. Trading postcards is fun and part of the fun for me is sending something the other person likes!!
Comment: Rebecca, THANK YOU so much for the beautiful postcards, you just totally made my day! I have been talking about how much I want to go to Taos, NM and all of a sudden I get a postcard!!! I take it as a sign, I need to get my little photographing booty down there. :) Ten hearts for you!!!! :D Goodness your postcards make me wanna get in the car and drive to all those places so I could photograph the area. :)
Response: You know, I have recently gotten into acting on the impulse to get in the car and just go. Sometimes you just have to. I just go back from 5 days through Southern Arizona. It is fun to just do the load up the car and go sometimes. But you may want to wait until Spring. Winter can be a little bleak here unless there is snow.
Comment: if i could, i'd give you lots of hearts! =)
this atc is just amazing, getting my two girls on an atc is just wonderful =D
you hit very close to home with the way they look! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!! WONDERFUL <3
Response: Oh, I 'm so glad! It was hard to do with 2 pictures to look at, but I hoped my guesses were close. It was fun to do and I was glad you had two bunnies so I could make your ATC personal. I thought the one that was close up was funny!
Comment: Wow what wonderfully chunky cool pages you have sent me. I adore them. You got so creative and unique with these. The little Medusa is just the coolest thing ever. Thank you so much, great, great, great pages!!!!
Response: Glad you like them. I do do them chunky. You had great themes and they were fun to do.
Response: I am so glad that you like her and I hope she brings you many years of happiness and comfort. It was fun to make her for you and I am glad that I followed my inspiration to make an angel instead of a matroshka
Comment: Once again, another fantastic swap!! I love all your work that went into these pages, the Cat in the Hat and it's box,Time Flies was fun, and the Roaring 20's with her tiny dotee is gorgeous!! You are a fantastic swap partner rebecca, thank you so much!!

Hugs and Smiles, Sandy
Response: I'm glad you liked it, although what you sent was way better! It was fun to look for things I thought you might like. It is tough to find small things!!!
Comment: WOW! I laughed for a whole 5 minutes, there were tears rolling down my face. I love him and his little mate Fitz was a stroke of genius. If I had a hat on I'd take it off to you! Thank you, x.

Response: thanks for the heart! I loved the way the mermaid came out. I had to get creative to keep her PG!!! I am very flattered that you like her so much!!
Comment: Thank you for my house. It is really cool. Blue with tulips and Darby with a frog and Liberty with a bird. And us in the doorway. Darby really likes it too. I'll let my husband know your thoughts. Thank you!

Comment: Rebecca, you made my week. I love the ATCs and the 4x6 rooster. I was really touched by your note. I ADORE chickens. I plan to frame these and they will join my small, but cherished chicken collection. I feel like I hit the jackpot getting you as my partner!
Response: I am so glad that you like everything. I wanted to give you something that would make you smile, because you deserve it. I am new to trying me hand at drawing but I thought they came out pretty good. Must have had an angel helping out so they would be special to you. Maybe it was my Dad that I took care of!! Lots of hugs and love sent your way.
Comment: Tanzi loves her art card, said she thinks the watercoloring on it is is soooo cool. And said I should say thank you very much for the card and stickers. My compliments to your young artist. I love the watercoloring too. Thanks a bunch. Awesome swap. Smiles from Sandy and Tanzi
Response: Glad you liked everything! I sent you a message about swapping
Comment: Great artwork. . . loved the little guy!!! And I was particularly pleased to get the felted shamrock -- my first ATC from felt and it is perfect!!! Thanks too for the extra papers -- I'll certainly be able to use them.
Response: Thanks for the comments. Glad you liked everything. I hope you are feeling better!
Comment: OMG!!! What an amazing parcel!!! Yes, i did say chunky!! These are the first chunky pages i have made and received, so i wasn't sure what to expect. They are absolutely fabulous, I can't begin to tell you how thrilled i am, especially with the Grandfather clock and the mouse! The White Rabbit is also very fabulous too! I certainly hope you got your wish, cos you deserve it!! I would give you more than 1 heart if i could!! Thanks so much, xx Helen
Response: Helen I am so glad that you like them as I was not sure what to expect either. But when I had the idea for the clock, I just had to do it even it was chunkier than normal!!!
I am also thrilled that it made all the way to you without being crushed. I have been so worried about it.
I know that the rabbit is not as elaborate but it was fun to draw the rabbit and when I found the little watch at the thrift store it just screamed Alice in Wonderland to me!
Thank you for your comments and heart and I am so glad that you love them!!
Comment: Wow! What a great package! This guy just makes me giggle. I have an inkling to hang him in my car and let him smirk at me everywhere I go, but I think that might get me in trouble with the police... I'll have to figure out where to put him so I can enjoy him more. And of course, I love the Muertos stuff! :-) Thanks for all the fun goodies... PS - I'd be happy to do a private swap some time. PM me with more details.
Response: I am glad that you like Hoppy go Lucky. He does have a certain charm!! You should have seen me when I found the Muertos fabric. I was so excited! I kept showing it to my kids and saying, "Isn't this cool?" I don't think they appreciated it as much as I did!!
Comment: LOL - I am such a ding-dong. I thought it was a mistake and I wasn't suppose to get your ATC since we received another one from you lately for another swap. I really love your sunflower. Such a wonderful job. Thank you so much. - Cass
Response: Thanks! It has been fun to try hand drawing. Glad you like it
Comment: Thank you rebecca for the fun ATC;s
Brings back some wonderful memories doesn't it. Now, if I can just get some grandchildren I can read them again. lol
My oldest is 26 but is not interested in anyone right now. She wants to get her college done with and start her career. Which is smart these days. The next daughter is 17..now she I would like to wait. Have a great Weekend. Thank you so much again
Response: I'm glad you like them. I'm waiting on grandkids too. But can wait longer!!!!
Comment: Thank you so much for the adorable owl. I love it. I know I said no cutesy, but I don't feel this falls in that category, I mean mostly the kawaii stuff alot of people swap here. I am proud to add your owl to my collection!
Response: Oh! I am glad you like it. Thanks for the heart
Comment: Rebecca..as soon as i saw the package i opened with care and saw one of my very favorites...frogs!!!!! oh my carefully wrapped with a flower and green raffia. i love it...the flapper is amazing...i couldn't have gotten a better partner!!!

Give a little time because I am very busy for the next few weeks. My son earned his Eagle Scout and the court of honor is in 2 weeks!! So after that, I will make you something special and send it your way!
Comment: Rebecca- the kids loved all their treats and their sweet Valentine's cards! Landon's cupid questions were such fun :-D
My fancy candy bar and vintage valentine's cards made me positively giddy!! Thanks for such a stellar swap!!!! Sending you a Happy Valentine's Day thought and a wish for you get hit with cupid's arrow ;-)
Response: So glad you like everything and hope you have a great trip!
Comment: Ok Rebecca, you made me laugh and my coworkers! It was perfect! Heart for the cool electric cord LOL!. Can't wait to show hubby when I get home tonight...I KNOW he will get a big kick out of it too. Thank you again! Eddita :)
Response: oh, I am sooo glad you liked it. It was kind of a pain to make and I usually like my work to be tidier but it was a real challenge! But it was super fun to plan and make and that is the funniest part of the movie. While I was making it my 14yo son kept asking, "why do women put nets on their legs?" But then he would look at it from across the table and say, "oo-la-la!!" It was quite funny because he couldn't quite figure out why it was appealing, but his hormones were reacting!!!
Comment: Our paths do seem to cross a lot, don't they! I loved the matryoshka doll you sent--having the faces as reverse applique was so clever! Thanks for the poker chips, too--I was all out of those!
Comment: I love the ATC's thank you so much. I especially like the felt bird, so original! The little vintage valentines brought back memories of elementary school. The extras were wonderfully yummy!!!
Comment: Thank you for the cute dottee! I actually have a very dear from that is very sick and awaiting surgery, and he just had 2 heart attacks last night after leaving the bowling alley. I'm going to give him this, he loves bowling and I know will love this!
Response: That is so sweet!! I hope your friend gets better. And guess what? I had decided a couple of days ago that I was going to send a special prize to who ever gave me my one hundredth 5 and you are it!! So I will be sending you something and it is likely to be bowling related!! I am overloaded until after Valentines, but be looking for it towards the end of the month!!!!
Comment: Hi Rebecca,
I received a nice note from you with fabric, cherib confetti, and a lovely dotee!
I am going to call her 'Valerina" She just looks as if she is going to start dancing anytime. Thankyou!
Very creative atc. Thank you for the extra valentine papers. I will also cut up your pretty card into pieces for future use. LOL. Just a note, your envie was open on both sides. Makes me wonder how mine arrive.....maybe I will start taping the edges from now on. Hugs, Joy
Response: Yikes!!! Was the $100 bill still in there?? Just kidding. I sent all the prizes out in similar envelopes ~ I wonder if they made it OK. Thanks for letting me know. I often cut up cards too! I'm glad you found the ATC creative.
Comment: You made me laugh out Loud! I showed my 5 yr old & she thought the Jackalope was real too..Thank you for the smiles you brought the two of us today..that is what this is really all about ;) -KM
Comment: thanks so much for the god's eye. my friends and i were at a holiday ornament making party and talking about them right before i got your card. i hope you have a stress free holiday season and a happy new year.
Comment: Thanks for the cards, they are great. I like the way you are encouraging your son to express himself through art and words. And I love the owl stuff.
Response: I am glad you liked everything and I am thankful to get an understanding partner! My son is very creative. You should check out some of his movies on youtube. Look for palsoccer1 and he loves comments
Comment: your note was very kind! all the little goodies were fun to open !! such colorful fun ribbons and buttons :)
i love the stamped image of the sleeping baby
thank you for putting together such a nice little parcel!
Comment: What a great way to use turkey. From the sounds of it that recipe would be a good candidate for the freezer too :) My favorite types of recipes!
My daughter absolutely loved getting the card and stickers you sent to her! The day that she got them they were plastered all over her arms and books in her room:) She was dancing around saying penpals and stickers. Thank you for making her day and mine. She will write back soon!
Response: It does freeze well; just don't cook it all the way so the potatoes don not come out mushy. I put it in freezer bags with a card listing the garnishes to pick up so it make an easy meal. I'm glad Cassie like the card. Hopefully she didn't put the stickers on anything she shouldn't!!!
