Comment: Thank you so much for the great envies and the awesome extras! I checked the original envelope you sent and had my boyfriend double check it to make sure I wasn't crazy, and sure enough, that is our correct address! I think the post office is just stupid because the address exists! Thanks for being so great and resending! Happy Swapping!
Response: Glad it finally arrived! No comment on the Post Office-they never cease to amaze me! Peace to you..
Comment: Wait, you are from Italy?? Lucky girl. I spent a week in Livorno a couple of summers ago, seeing Florence, Pisa, and a day in Cinque Terre. Note to self: Must. Go. Back. Thanks for the ATC!
Response: glad you liked the atc. No, I wasn't born in Italy, but both of my parents were. One in Naples and one in Sicily. I love all of the country, but I especially like to spend time in Sicily. It's so rustic and I love Sicilian food. Peace to you and yours...
Comment: Thanks for the pretty mail art & fun extras. What kind of spray do you put on the chalks so they don't smear? Also, just so you know...I did have to pay an extra .65 because of the orientation on the envelope. They said it's because it isn't "machinable". I did not realize that it costs extra either.
Response: Sorry about having to pay extra for postge. Leave it to the us postal service to try to get every penny that they can. I first spray the chalks with workable fixative, and then I spray Krylon gloss clear enamel-yep, enamel! I'm sure that it's probably not "archival"-neither am I. LOL! Thanks for the rating and the heart. Peace.....
Comment: Beautiful envelope...LOVE it. The sun was shining when i pulled it out of my mailbox......"the wind did change".
Response: Love doing these "envies!"--my newest passion. I'm so glad that "the wind did change". That's a phrase that someone has said to me often in the recent past. Thanks so much for the rating and the heart!
Comment: I love that you dressed up the card. Thank you. Merry Christmas.
Response: You're so welcome. There was a time that I used to make all of my Christmas Cards and I miss doing that. Just not enough time or energy, so dressing up store bought cards at least allows me to feel that I contribute something to them. Merry Christmas to you and a Happy New Year!
Comment: Thank you for the nice Christmas Card and the surprises inside. Me and the young ones will have to make something with the stuff. Have a wonderful Christmas and a Very Happy New Years! May all your dreams and wishes come true.
Response: Hi Porsha...always a pleasure to be involved with swaps that you either join or host, Thanks s much for all of the effort that you put into swapping. Merry Christmas to you and yours and practice PEACE always. Hugs!
Comment: This was such a pretty envelope. you did a wonderful job. It had a note on the front saying that it was open at the post office, but it still had several stickers and a bookmark enclosed. Thank you so much.
Response: Hmmmmmmmm-wonder why the Piost office felt a need to open it? But these days I do alot of wondering about how the Post Office does things!
I'm glad that you liked my Envie. Wishing you a warm and wonderful Christmas. PEACE to all...
Comment: Thanks for the lovely Oregon PC. :) I haven't been there yet, but one of my best friends moved to Portland a few years ago and I can't wait to see it all! Where I live, in Omaha, there aren't a lot of trees in the city. I definitely crave wide open spaces and some more rural roughage. :)
Response: I love Oregon and all of the diverse scenery and weather, from lush forests to arid high desert-from the western part of the state with it's temperate climate to the high mountaiuns covered in snow! Glad that you liked the PC. Happy Holidays to you and yours!
Comment: Nice Zentangle! What kind of post card blank did you use? I use a heavy watercolor paper as my base, but yours is even heavier.
Response: I cut the post card blank out of a pad of watercolor paper that I've had for quite some time. It was in a brown spiral bound book and the book has no markings on it-none at all. Wish I could help you more. Thanks for the kind words and the heart. Peace...
Comment: Maryann, thanks for the ATC, I like the idea of it a lot, as well as the image. Reminds me of my grandma's old stove she used to cook on (before my time). Your group sounds like fun! Nice to have a community.
Response: Glad you liked the stove. I used to rent an old log cabin that had a stove like it on a hearth in the kitchen-hence the idea for the atc. And our group of 8 is fun! Peace
Comment: Thanks so much for the nice package which I got in Saturday's mail! I loved the business cards, and the extra ones. The animal cards especially. Plus, thanks for the cute napkin and the menu, also. Nice collection here.
Response: You're so very welcome. Thanks for the rating and the heart. This was a fun swap! Peace...
Comment: Thank you so much for the ATC's Maryann they were lovely.I love recieving handmade things and knowing you took the time to draw something was wonderful x
Response: Hi Natalie-glad that you liked the atc that I sent to you. I love to draw, and am always glad when someone appreciates what I send. I see that you're fairly new to swap-bot-welcome and have loads of fun. Peace.....
Comment: atc swap #24- the card you sent was beautiful and definately a "keeper" thanks! I love it. :) i have to ask where you got the stamper for the back of your cards-I like it.
Response: Thanks so much for your kind words and the heart. I purhased the stamp at catslifepress.com. I've been using the stamp ever since I joined swap-bot and have gotten lot's of positive comments on it. Peace to you
Comment: Hi Maryann, Thanks so much for the wonderful ATC! It is so cute and I love it. I use to quilt and I made one with sunbonnet sue. Would you mind letting me know where you got the stamp that you stamp on the back of your ATC's. I would like to get one for my use. Again, thanks for the wonderful ATC..it is one of my favorite. Nancy (grannystamper)
Response: I'm so glad that you liked little 'Sue". I bought the stamp from a website
catslifepress.com. I love the stamp too. It just says it all. Thanks so much for the heart and the rating. Peace and happy summer to you!
Comment: What a beautiful atc. I struggled so much with this technique, but yours looks effortless. Well done.
Response: Thanks for the kind words and for the rating and heart. I did a bit of pointissism in the past, so the technique is familiar to me. Just be "loose" with those dots. Too much perfection is well, too much!
Comment: I think your zooming ladybug is very cool...nice touches, the background, the darker green around the edge, and the rounded corners, which I'm really leaning toward more and more. I particularly like the round stamp you have on the back....it says it all! Thanks SO much!
Response: You're so welcome and I'm glad that you like the finishing touches. I'm stuck on round edges-after all, that's what decks of cards have. Thanks for the heart! Peace
Comment: Yay! Not sure exactly when your ATC arrived as I've just got back from holiday, but what a lovely thing to come back to! I love your artwork, the extra zentangle people and even the packaging. Many, many thanks! Bob
Response: You're so very very welcome. Thanks so much for the thumbs-up and the kind words, and also for the heart. Peace be with you!
Comment: I love the bookmark and also the way you did the back of it, what a creative idea! Thank you for the extra zentangle and paper, so very nice and good to see your name again, you send awesome swaps!!!
Response: Thanks again for your very kind words and the heart. I'm so glad that you like my art. Peace
Comment: Thank you so much for a wonderful selection of backgrounds..it would be so hard to choose a fav they are all awesome...and thank you for the extra atc...it makes me smile!! great job
Response: So glad that you liked the backgrounds. They're one of my favorite things to do. I'm always amazed at what the final finished project looks like. Thanks for the kind words and for the heart. Peace at ya!
Comment: I've received your ATC and I love it! You get props for the reference to the Beatles song, "Blackbird". Now I can't get the song out of my head - last song syndrome! Yikes! XD Thanks a bunch also for the extras. :)
Response: Blackbird singing in the dead of niiiiiiiiiight! Oh no! I fear last song syndrome-again! I'm so glad that you liked the atc and the extra's too. Thanks for the heart and live in peace!
Comment: I really love your blackbird card! Thank you so much. I also have to comment on the unique pocket folder you made to send your cards in. Way cool I will be copying that for some future mailings... also it might be a great way to make handmade book pages.. I will give it some thought and adapt your brilliant idea. Thank you for sharing your time and talent. Betsy
Response: Thanks for the kind words. Glad that you liked the atc. As for the "pocket folder", if you make 4 of them and stack them, then run cord or yarn around the center folds of all, you will wind up with a cute stand-up pocket book. Also, try it by folding the paper in the opposite direction-creates a taller and skinnier book. Have fun. Peace, Maryann
Comment: Thank you very much for nice bird ATC! I really appreciate quality of your card. I also have india ink but do not do much with it, now I have to try to see how it will spread.Thank you for extra card too!
Response: You're so very welcome, and thanks for the heart too! I love playing around with inks, and india ink is so unforgiving-it just needs alot of diluting. Peace!
Comment: I did not receive this... But I have faith that you sent it... Hugs
Response: OMG, I can't believe it hasn't arrived by now. I will create another atc for you and get it in the mail asap, and I will send you a copy of the original that I sent to you.
Thanks so much for your understanding! Peace
Comment: Beautiful ATCs. Thanks so much. I enjoyed the interesting technique used on the nail polish one. The one you wrote (copy) on the back...did you draw this? It is beautiful. Thanks for the textured paper. Great swap.
Response: Thanks so much for your kind words and the heart. Yes, I did the drawing--.pen and ink drawing is a favorite of mine.
Comment: Wow, Thank you, what an amazing ATC. I have never tried pontillism, actually I had never even heard of it before now and some amazing extras too, thank you again.x
Response: Thanks for the kind words and the heart. Actually, pointillism is really not the correct word-Google the word and you will get alot of links on the subject. What I did is actually called stippling--because it's in black and white. Pointillism was and is done in color Peace!
Comment: Where do I begin? I loved your ATC (made mine look like nothing, I better step up my game!), and the other Zentangle of the women was really neat as well. Thanks for including the page, from the book. I was just thinking of asking for some of those in a swap so I could experiment, and I love the little folder it all came in. I'm a sucker for anything origami-esque. Thanks for putting so much effort into my package. PS - Can I ask where you got the stamp on the back of the ATC? I was thinking about getting something similar.
Response: Hi--Love your user name!! So glad that you liked all that I sent...and I love that little folder also. So, as to where I got the stamp-check out catslifepress.com. Last time I checked they still carried this stamp, plus many more relating to atc's. Peace and hugs, Maryann
Comment: I love Blackbird~! (the card AND the Beatles song!) How perfect that you chose this theme for the atc. Your heat embossed looks so neat! Thank you so much for the lovely card and the extras too! blessings, Gypsy
Response: Thanks for the kind words and I'm so glad that you liked both "blackbirds"- I have embraced black and white lately and I was glad to be able to play around with creating "night" Hugs
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful ATC. I will put a hanger on it and add it to my tree:-)
Additional Thanks for the Santa playing card. I have a "secret collection" of card back designs. It is a wonderful addition.
Comment: Way cool package of goodies! The nostalgic "old Florida" ATC is beautiful. The zentangled "self-portrait"? is lots of fun. And I really like your business card. I used to work in a print shop and design BCs, and collect BCs. Your makes me want to do that again! :)
Comment: I love this card! Totally awesome. I've just started playing with diamond glaze, just figuring out what can be done with it.
Do try to put the name of the swap on/in the package somewhere though, I had a hard time figuring out what to rate.
Response: So glad you liked the atc. I usually do put the info on both the card and the envelope. My mind has been kida full of misc. these days and so I may have forgotten. I will double check from now on. Thanks.
Comment: Both sides of this ATC were wonderful and I loved all of the details on the hand drawn strawberries and letters. And thanks for the 10 of diamonds, great image of the Pepsi girl on the back. Thank you.
Response: I'm so glad you liked it. It was alot of fun drawing it-I'm into zentangles these days. LOL
Comment: thank you so much for the lovely atc. spencer looks like a wonderful companion. i feel your pain on the loss. when my peanut butter kitty goes i'll be an absolute basket case. nothing takes their place!
Response: thanks so much for the kind words. That was one of the most difficult atc's that I've ever made--and so simple!! LOL
Comment: The button fairy was lovely. Reminded me of my daughter with red hair. The textured papers are super. I will definately use them.. The oragami folded paper is a very clever way to sent the ATC. Each time I swap I receive special items to use. Thank you.
Comment: First of all, this ATC is amazing! I LOVE it! The textured bubbley things were my favorite. Explain to me what you mean by the "background was inked". (Obviously ink is not a medium I put to use!) The colors were gorgeous. Secondly, I can't believe you live in Medford! Hahaha! I did a double take when I saw your address label. I got confused on whether it was from Swap-Bot and who you were! Anyways, thank you for the lovely ATC!
Response: I'm delighted that you liked the jellyfish. I used a sheet of glossy photo paper and watered it down. I then used Winsor & Newton inks and after dry I embossed with the black. The jellyfish is made out of stickles and finally those textured bubbly things were done with Diamond Glaze. I love altering and creating backgrounds, and this was a fun project. I would love to join a swap group in the area? Do you know of any? I belong to one in Hugo, but that's almost an hour drive. Anyway, enjoy the weather-as it changes moment by moment. Hugs, Maryann
Comment: Thank you for this beautiful ATC (and for the extras too, I'm sure I'll be able to use them for something fun :-). What amazing animals, you're so lucky to get to see them in the flesh. Thank you for sharing your experience. :-)
Response: Yes, it was definately a once in a lifetime experience and I'm glad that I got to share it with someone who is also amazed by nature. Hugs
Comment: Maryann, thank you so much for the adorable giraffe ATC! I love it! Thank you also for the extras. I'm glad we were able to do a private swap. Feel free to join my other swaps. You are more than welcome.
Comment: Welcome to Swap-bot! Thanks so much for your envelope of goodies. And for sending so fast! I love the turtle ATC! Maui is one of our favorite spots and this past January when we were there I got to snorkel with turtles, I love that. We have not made it to the ocean center yet, we always want to lay on the beach and swim instead, haha. That folded paper booklet you made is really cool. Thanks so much for the swap!
