Response: It's so funny; when I make a swap up, I often have a very vague idea of what I'm going to make. This was one of those times, as I only knew it was going to be mixed media. Hope you liked my star idea. Thanks for the rating and the heart.
Comment: I apologize for taking so long to rate, my husband got a job and I have been busy getting everything ready for him (it is 2,000 miles away). I love the ATC you made for me, it is beautiful!
Response: No worries on the rating time, I'm just happy you got it and like it. 2,000 miles away?! That's a long distance, to say the least!
Glad you liked it. I'm making three more (all different, but in a sort of series) that I am hopefully finishing up today. I'll be putting the photos in my Flickr eventually.
Thanks for the rating and the heart.
Response: I was just starting to worry about the postal black hole and that you might not get it in for Valentine's Day! Phew! Glad you got it and I hope you liked it. Did you get the package of tiny buttons? They are the smallest buttons I've ever seen - thought they'd be good for crafty fun. Thanks for the rating. : )
Comment: Not that I doubted it to be true, but your cards are fantastic! I'm a texture fanatic lately, it's always so interesting to look at! one of these days, I will learn how to draw a dragonfly like you did. Someday when I am a big girl. :) Thank you!!
Response: Yay! Glad you liked them. I am pretty happy with the way those came out. Texture is fun. Thanks for the rating and the heart.
Comment: I love both your ATC's the girl with stripes is unique and quite cute. Thank you.
Response: So glad they got to you fairly quickly, and thank you for the generous rating, especially considering I sent a bit late. Glad you liked my whimsical portrait - seems to be a style thing that I like to do.
Comment: The ATC is fabulous! Love the colors. Love the layers. I've popped it into a small frame and it's now on my "friend's art" wall. Thank you!!
Response: First, thank you for the generous rating considering the circumstances. I'm so thrilled that you like the colors and layers. I was really happy with the way it turned out after what seemed like the millionth layer! Thanks again!
Comment: Brenda, my mind is completely gone. I''m so sorry I didn't rate you for this long ago. Please forgive me. I'm utterly confused. Was this from my lost months? It makes me sad that I can't remember.
Response: I sent to you for this? I don't even remember. Let me think for a while -- I certainly didn't miss the rating! Maybe my mind is gone, too. We do share a brain, you know...Hey, I think I sent you one of my wild tree collagraphs - it's a swirly branched tree, but I don't know which one I sent - you can maybe look in my flickr to see if something matches. And no worries on the rating - if I had a problem, I would tell you -- we are friends!
Comment: Ooooh I love the bridge and peacock best. Thanks for sharing your comments too. It is fun that you discovered you might use other imagery in your work because of this lesson. I like how you gave yourself permission not to do the copies, since you knew you'd never be interested in them.
Response: Thanks for the rating and heart. I stumbled upon that peacock in a newspaper I had laying around - I was going to use the newspaper to protect surfaces, but it came in handy for the lab!
Comment: Thanks for the great ATC. There's really a lot going on in it. I appreciate your nice note explaining your techniques. Thanks so much.
Response: Yeah, it was kind of loaded with stuff. I hope it's okay with you. I think anything else and it would be too much. Maybe I crossed that line already, lol. Thanks for the rating and the heart.
Comment: the etsy part arrived today and I adore them thanks so much, will update rating after the other part you said is on its way arrives here, thanks:)
The rest arrived today, thank you for sending me a thoughtful swap :)
Response: Wow, that was faster than I was anticipating! I hope part two gets there soon - I mailed it on Saturday. Glad you got part two and I hope you liked it! : )
Comment: LOVE the "quilt"! Neat way to use watercolors. Thank you so much, Brenda!
Response: Glad you like it. I am really into grids and abstract buildings right now. I am slowly making a bunch of these quilt ATCs - there is something about these that really appeal to me. Thanks for the rating and the heart.
Comment: I love them all! The "Quilt" one is my favorite! It's so bright and colorful. Your art techniques are very cool. Thanks for swapping with me. <3<3<3
Response: Glad you liked them - I was trying to think of something I could make that would be as awesome as what you made for me. I am working on more "quilt" type ATCs - I am starting a new series, I think! Thanks for the rating and the heart.
Comment: I really liked your ATC the colors are awesome and the little cut out hearts made me smile! Thanks for telling me about it! I love to hear about people's inspiration and technique! Happy Swapping!

Response: Yay! Glad you liked them. I had a lot of fun with this swap and I couldn't decide which to send for this, so I decided to send two. Definitely check out the book -- it's a good one. Thanks for the rating and the heart!
Comment: I love your hand drawn Maia ATC! Great idea to capture all the elements into one drawing. Your face profile is really good. I love the shooting stars idea too, and cute pidgeon. A very beautiful card to add to my collection.
Response: Thanks for the rating and the heart. I am glad you liked it!
Comment: What a lovely lily! I like the colors. It reminds me a bit of Georgia O'Keefe. I am thinking I should add some colored pencils into my supply desk....I was just trying to organize my ATC collection and was admiring your lily again. Thanks again. :) (BTW, I did get some pencils for myself too.)
Response: Thanks for the rating and the comment. I was thinking it was a bit Georgia O'Keefe -esque myself! I love my colored pencils and would definitely recommend getting some. I use Prismacolor and think that they are great. Thanks again - and thanks for the heart!
Comment: This pansy collage is absolutely gorgeous. I love how you pulled all the colors from the pansy, it is very posh looking. I am very happy to have this in my collection -- this one goes on my shelf of fame. Or perhaps in a frame!
Response: I'm so glad you liked it. This was a hard swap for me, believe it or not. I had a hard time pulling the colors together. I was happy with the results and I'm glad it may end up on a shelf of fame, lol.
Comment: Your ATC is really beautiful - I love how you added the patina and the design as always, gorgeous! Thank you so much for sending the copper to work with, that was extremely kind of you!! Oh - and no, I'll never get sick of getting your work!
Response: Glad you liked it - everyone did a great job, and each was so different! What a fun swap this was. Thanks for the rating and the heart!

Response: I'm so glad you like it. I worked a lot on the shadow and the background to make it more interesting. Thanks for the rating and the heart.
Comment: Thank you for the very creative ATC. I really like this style.
Response: I'm glad you liked it. I was planning on doing something with watercolor pencils and almost sent a totally different ATC out to you, but I just wasn't happy with it and decided to go with colored pencils instead. Thanks for the rating and the heart.
Comment: Thanks so much for my first Zentangle ATC. I've been "doodling" a little, but haven't actually created an ATC yet. I find the Zentangles fascinating.
Response: They really are neat. If you get the most recent issue of Cloth, Paper, Scissors you can check out an article on the use of Zentangles in journals. Thanks so much for the rating and the heart.
Comment: wow! what an amazing set of ATCs. they're gorgeous! i love the flower color wheel- so creative. and i love the shading and colors of your lamp atcs. :o) thanks so much for the vintage photos! yay! ttys, jess

Response: Thanks for the kind words - faces are so difficult for me. Thanks for the rating and the heart!
Comment: Hello Brenda,
It is wonderful to receive another piece of art work from you as part of this art series. Again, you did a wonderful job at presenting a piece of Paul Gauguin's work in your own way. It is a great remake of the piece of art. I will proudly add your ATC to my ART GALLERY collection of ATCs representing the different artists. I liked your choice of using colored pencils in this piece of art work. It showed vibrant colors where he wanted them, which is one of the features that Paul Gauguin was known for in his art. I hope we continue to meet up during this long term swap, but also that we get to experience other swappers' art endeavors.
Response: Thanks for the great comment, rating, and the heart. I really appreciate your feedback. Glad you liked the ATC!
Comment: Hello Brenda,
Thank you for the fantastic piece of art you designed and created to represent the artwork of Amedeo Modigliani. You did a fabulous job of reflecting the art concept of the elongated neck that was so common in his work. That is what I did as well in the piece I did. Your piece of art will be a positive addition to my ATC Art Lesson Series. I hope I have more opportunities to swap with you in the future. Sorry I have been so slow in getting your rating done for this swap. Thank you for your extreme patience. Lastly, thank you for the beautiful piece of fabric ATC blank that I can use sometime in the future. That was vey nice of you to share.
Response: Thanks for the rating and the heart! I appreciate the feedback most of all - enjoy the ATC and the fabric blank!
Comment: thank you so much! i really liked my pairs... the girl with the earrings made me laugh! all of them were great.
Response: I loved those earrings! I think I would actually wear a pair like that if they wouldn't in reality be down to the ground. Thanks for the rating and the heart, and I'm glad you liked the ATCs.
Comment: Brenda, Thank You so much for the gorgeous package you put together for me. I love it all and will get a lot of use out of it all. Hugs. It was well thought out and I love the pink packagaing as well.
Response: Yay! I'm glad you liked it all. It was fun putting it all together and getting creative with the letters in your name. Thanks so much for the rating and heart!
Comment: I am so sorry it's taken me so long to rate... your ATCs are beautiful! Thanks for including the sunflower --the colors are so soft and lovely...and I love the ice cream cone!
Response: I am glad you liked them and I am happy you enjoyed the sunflower. I used prismacolor markers and did a small amount of blending with them and I thought it was pretty cool. Thanks for the rating and the heart.
Comment: I think your ATC's were great (and very clever)! Never would have thought to shred fabric - what'd you use?? I can definitly dig it when you said it was time consuming...I had the same issues with the dryer lint! The nail polish colors were really nice, love the simplicity (glimmers under the light). And the extra ATC? It is fanTAStic - I am thinking about how I'm going to display all the hand made ATC's I get in my studio! Thanks for setting up the swap :)
Response: I'm glad you liked them. I just shredded the fabric with a pair of scissors and pulling out strings. I bet you had the same issues with dryer lint! I wasn't as happy with the nail polish one, but it kind of worked. I absolutely loved the way that zentangle came out and I'm so glad you like it and that it has a new home.
Comment: Perfect heart Brenda!! Of course I love the buttonembellishments! :O) You're right, the serendipity papers are addictive. Thank you!
Response: Yay! Glad you liked the buttons. I took forever trying to arrange those buttons just the way I wanted them -- I can't believe something so simple to so long! Thanks for the rating and the heart!
Comment: I absolutely love my ATC. Thank you so much. I'm so lucky to have received this as orange is one of my favorite colors. Your drawing is great! Also so are the others I've seen on your flickr page. I do love CSNY music too. My husband got me tickets one year to their concert and put them in a puzzle maze box thing. I worked like mad to get them out of there. Have a good week. Take Care. Angela
Response: I'm glad you liked the ATC. I am doing a lot of whimsical stuff lately, especially with the frame/border looking stuff. Orange is a fun color to work with -- lots of range and it all looks good together. Thanks for the rating and the heart!
Comment: Wow...yours is fantastic. Loved the flower and I really need to put more emphasis on my atc's like you do. This is the first one I have ever recieved. I loved the atc and scrapbooking stuff you sent me and I can really use the notecards. Thanks alot and I would love to swap with you again.
Response: I'm glad you like what I sent! I find scrapbooking papers can be really handy in making ATCs, as well as collage paper. I would be happy to swap with you again, too.
Comment: Waaaah! The post office smooshed the envelope and knocked all the stuff off!! I'll try gluing everything back on :-)
We must have been on the same wavelength, cause mine for you is also an underwater theme! Thank you :-)
Response: I'm so sorry! I can always send you another, don't feel like you need to glue it all back together if it's more trouble than it's worth! I can resend next week. I'm pming you.
Comment: After seeing the ATC you sent, all of the martini and champagne glasses made me thirsty. I had to crack open a Smirnoff Ice! Talk about the power of suggestion :-)
Cute drawing. Thank you.
Response: Thanks for the rating and the heart. I'm glad you liked the ATC. It was hard to do something in so little time, and I had to think of something I could finish...You should send a Smirnoff Ice my way!
Comment: WOW! Now, that was worth waiting for. I love your card. It shows really originality. You certainly have to have some artistic ability to come up with and execute a design like that. Thanks so much. Hope you are about ready for Christmas after the storm. Have a good one.
Response: I'm so thrilled with your compliment! I think it's the best one I've ever received about my ATCs. Thanks so much for that and the rating and the heart.
Comment: Thank you Brenda, I recieved your package today - how clever! The sequins must have taken you ages to lay down [not to mention the gluey fingers!] I love it.Thanks for organising the swap.
Response: Gluey fingers, lol! I had a good time making it.
