Comment: Thank you! First of all, you thrilled me when I saw the dandelion among the other flowers on this note card! I so love dandelions! I enjoyed reading what you wrote! It's always great to get new ideas. And thank you also for the extras. I really like them! You blessed me with wonderful happy mail! :)
Response: You’re welcome! I’m glad that you were blessed. Thanks for the heart.
Comment: Thank you so much. I love everything! The scripture card is great, love the postcard of Hawaii. It's one of our favorite places. You say is my absolute song at the moment. I have it on my play list and even Alexis sings it now. The words will be a nice tough when we sing in the morning! Thanks so much!
Response: You’re welcome. Glad you enjoyed the swap. Thanks for the rating.
Comment: Hello Linda,
Thank you for your list and for your patience.
We had some severe weather here, Thursday and Friday of last week, and had not received mail since last Wednesday. Roads were blocked by downed trees and power lines and one end of our road was washed out from flooding.
Being in a very rural area, we are somewhat used to this, though this was worse than “normal” and it is usually winter storms that shut us down.
We have both commercial power and internet back now and the Mail Lady came this morning. She brought us a big pile that included, between Swap-Bot and Postcrossing, eight cards and notes that I am trying to log / rate as quickly as I can.
Response: I’m glad to hear that you were safe in that bad weather and that you finally got your mail. Thanks for the rating.
Comment: This article is perfect for me. In August I was scheduled to go to the big island with friends to visit their family. Since the activity, I have canceled. I feel that if anything more serious happens, the emergency services, including the food bank, should be focusing on the people who live on the island. This was a great article. Thank you
Response: I'm glad that the article was meaningful for you. I think they're doing a great job providing food to the people in need on the Big Island. Thanks for the rating.
Comment: I love the gift of Lighthouse postcards. I didn't get the note card just yet but I am rating awhile because I know I will enjoy it!
Thank you for the gift and thank you ahead of time for the note. I did get your letter! Thank you!
Comment: Thank you for the blessing of this music article! Wow, free live concerts for those who would otherwise not be able to enjoy! What a blessing this must be! Everything beautiful! Hope you get to go to one of their concerts!
Response: You’re welcome! I’m glad you liked the article. Hopefully I can hear them sing in person.
Comment: Thanks so much for the tea and cute cat stickers with your letter! I used to live in Oahu. Going back to visit one day is one of the top things on my bucket list. Happy late anniversary! I hope you two had a good time. Tell Missy I said hello! I love that your mission trip was such a great experience for you. We often take for granted what we have and live in such turmoil and yearning because we aren't opening our eyes to all the things right in front of us. Thanks again for the great letter and tea ♥
Response: You’re welcome! Thank you for the heart. Have a great week!
Comment: Thank you for the wonderful and very uplifting, inspiring news article! I’m very much of a letter writer so this article speaks to my heart. I wrote letters as a young girl to my relatives and now to my daughters as well as to penpals. Happy Letter Writing and Happy Swapping! â¤ï¸
Response: You’re welcome. Writing letters is a great way for people to connect. I write letters to my two aunts in California. Thanks for the rating.
Comment: Thank you for the lovely Christmas card and for the thoughtful additional tuck ins. Wish I could give you 5 hearts. It was so thoughtful of you to add things to the envelope.
Merry Christmas ðŸŽðŸŽ„
Response: You’re welcome. Have a merry Christmas!
Comment: First, I wanted to thank you for creating a such a great swap. It’s so sad that the world wants to deny the truth of The Bible. I personally love being in The Word!!! Thank you for your beautiful answers and of course the extras, inside!
Response: Thanks for joining the Bible study. I love being in the Word too! You're welcome and thank you for the heart.
Comment: Thank you for the article about keeping a gratitude journal. It's very easy to get caught up in negativity so being mindful of what's positive, no matter how small, can make a big difference. (Especially for me since I have some depression issues.) Thanks again for sharing! :)
Response: You're welcome! I will be praying for you concerning the depression.
Comment: Thank you so much! I enjoyed reading your answers to this study. I had an awesome idea for a study but right now I can't remember so when it rotates through my brain again I will let you know. It was something I saw at work so I work again tomorrow. Have a blessed day!
Response: Thanks for the encouraging words. Hope you are safe and doing well there.
Comment: Thank you so much for the great items you sent to me! The bookmark is our memory verse for my class this week. We probably won't get to have class because of all the rain being dumped on Houston right now. So much of Houston is flooded. Please pray for those affected.
Response: I'm praying for Texas. My husband would like to go to Texas to help out. He's involved in the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team. Thanks for the rating.
Comment: Thank you for sending me such a nice article! So often it really is the simplest, easiest things that one can do that mean the most. I hope you'll host a swap like this one again, I really enjoyed it!
Response: I think it would be fun to paint rocks with uplifting words like that. Thanks for rating. I do like to do swaps like that occasionally.
Comment: Thank you, Linda, for the interesting article. I want to become a minimalist, but have difficulty sticking to the principles. I enjoyed the Amish perspectives and look forward to trying some. :)
Response: You're welcome. A friend of mine who moved from Hawaii to South Carolina said, "Less is better." Thanks for the heart.
Comment: I recently found a totebag from before I moved and I found your swap in it. I'm sorry for taking so long to rate you.
I loved it though. Thank you so much for taking the time to send it to me. It was great to read about what those young people had achieved.
Comment: Thank you for all the wonderful goodies. I enjoyed your letter. Isn't it funny how we meet our matches. (I will try to keep this short lol) My husband and I met when we were about 8 years old. He had a crush on me and I was annoyed by him. =) This went on till high school, where I would avoid him completely. Then a year after graduation, a voice literally told me to be at a certain place at a certain time. After arguing with said voice, I ended up going to this place I would never go to, and bam I ran into my future husband. This year would put us together for 16 years. =)
Once again thank you for taking the time for my letter. I will pass on the friendship book. Have a great weekend.
Response: You're welcome. Thanks for sharing about how you met your husband.
Comment: I am drinking the tea right now. :) It's very good! The recipe looks good and I had never thought to combine banana and oatmeal together! I enjoyed reading the devotion and your note in such a beautiful card. I find it can be hard for me to meditate on God's word, so your guidelines in how to do this will be a big help. Thank you so much! I hope you had a wonderful Easter.
Response: You're welcome. I had a wonderful Easter. It's healthy to eat oatmeal and bananas. Hope you try the recipe.
Comment: Thank you so much for your letter and the study materials! Also for the coloring page! I love this verse.
It is always such a blessing to be partnered with you. Have a blessed day!
Response: Thank you for the rating. I enjoy these Bible reading swaps. Have a blessed weekend.
Comment: Love Your Answers... So Nice to make a New person feel Welcome and to make a New Friend too. Love Watching the Duck Dynasty Show... Singing Hymns is always up lifting.... especially if I know the Tune and have a book in front of Me so I can sing along.. ! ! ! Cute stickers ! !
Response: It was a fun swap. Thanks for the rating. Have a nice weekend.
Comment: It is always so sweet to hear from you. I hope you had a wonderful Valentine's Day!I like this Psalm 66:5 from the Message. "God's wonders will take your breath away." Boy, you are in the right spot for that verse. Hawaii was so beautiful when we were there. So many breath-taking sites and we were only there a week. (Not to mention Big Breakfast at McDonalds. I fell in love with sticky rice and spam.) LOL! Thank you so much for the card you sent and your note!
Response: You're welcome. I had a nice Valentine's. I love the beautiful sites and color tropical flowers here on the island.
Comment: Thanks so much for your tea and letter. I enjoyed reading about your church activities. I also stay very involved in church. I also like to bake and go to thrift stores. I hope that you have a wonderful week!
Response: You're welcome. Thanks for the rating. I'd love to hear about your church activities.
Comment: Thank you for the mailbox PC, I wish mine was that full. My favorite part about living in California was going to the beach. I miss it. Thank you for the stickers you can never have enough. Merry Christmas!
Response: Thank you for the heart. Have a very merry Christmas.
Comment: Thank you for the lovely handmade card and goodies. I noticed the washi tape on the envelope and said a mental note to myself to let you know I thought it was cute, imagine my happiness when I later opened it and there was a sample of it =) thank you again, hope you have a great weekend!
Response: I'm glad you like the tape and the swap. Thanks for the rating.
Comment: Thank you for the card. I am glad you went on my site and enjoyed seeing my cards. Hope you left me a message there! 🙂 I live in a retirement community but we do a Trunk or Treat at our church every year. It is so much fun to see all the kids in their costumes!
Response: I haven't had the chance yet but I will leave a message on your sight. It's fun to see little kids in costumes. Thanks for the heart.
Comment: Hello Linda! I got your card today! You made my day brighter! I love the handmade card! I love anything that someone puts time and effort in and you did both so please know that you touched my heart. I loved the dog stickers! I am a dog lover and these are great. May you have a wonderful day and recieve many blessings!
Response: Thank you! I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed this swap. I like to brighten people's day because we live in such a gloomy society. Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Thanks for my homemade note card- that's the first one I've gotten:)
I've visited Hawaii and it's hands down my favorite place on earth (the people are so friendly)- so getting a note from you automatically made me smile and think of warmth and sunshine and a friendly face!
Thanks for the stickers! I can't wait to find something to use them for!
Response: Thank you for the nice comment and for the heart.😀
Comment: Hi Linda! I enjoyed your letter! Hope your tea party was fun and that your tulips are looking better! How wonderful to live in Hawaii! We have never been but hope to visit next year - it looks so beautiful and I love the beach, so ... Hugs, Happy Spring, and Swapping! ;)
Response: Thanks for the kind words and for the heart.
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful card. I love to hear Christ-centered music all year round but especially at Christmas. You are blessed to be able to play piano. I tried as a kid but my fingers were short and fat. I just couldn't get it down so my piano teacher had me help her in the garden. I could dig dirt just fine. LOL!
Response: You're welcome. Have a joyous Christmas!
Comment: Thank you so much for the lovely card. The scripture is a wonderful reminder for me right now as I deal with my grandchildren full time. Even though I know the verse, it definitely spoke to my heart. I love the bookmark as well. Thanks for hosting the swap as well!
Response: You're welcome! I'm glad that the scripture ministered to your heart.
Comment: What a Pretty Card you made.. love the leaves and acorn and pumpkin embellishments you added.. and I can't wait to make the Pumpkin Cake from the Recipe you sent.. Thank You ! !
Happy Fall to You too...
Response: You will enjoy the Pumpkin Cake. It's very tasty. Yum! I'm glad you enjoyed the swap.
Comment: Hi, enjoy this type of swap also and yours brought me a big smile. The kitty cat note paper is sweet, the stickers are perfect, the note card is very pretty and I can never have too much stationary. Thank you :)
Response: You're welcome. I'm glad you enjoyed this swap.
Comment: Thank you for the lovely card and bookmark. Psalms 23 has always been a favorite of mine. I imagine David fleeing for his life from Saul, yet stopping to sing praise to God for protecting him & meeting all of his needs. My problems seem so trivial in comparison! Thank you for joining the swap!
Response: I enjoyed the swap. Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Thank you, Liinda, for the swap that you sent me. Sorry to say that I haven't started my study yet. I am not going to read anyone's answers until I get mine done. But, I will get it done. Happy Swapping! pobuffy
Comment: thanks for your healthy hints and recipe:)
according to one of those hints sitting by the hour cost 22 minutes of your lifespan! I sit 8 hours a day at work - yikes!!! that's 3 hours a day shortened x 5 = per week!! I better figure a way to stand and do my computer work! lol I do try to get up each hour and walk to the front offices just to give my eyes a break. Good thing I plan to retire in 2 years :) Again thanks for sharing:)
Response: It is important to keep moving. We're shortening our life just by sitting too much.
Comment: Thank you for this great swap! Loved the homemAde card, note and the lyrics! The little stickers are perfect for letters to my sponsored children. And I love "How He Loves!" Such a comforting song! Thanks again!
Response: You're welcome. I am so glad that you enjoyed the swap. Thanks for the rating.
Comment: Thanks so much for the fun envie with the whimsical post card. The bookmark will be put to good use too and a great tie in celebrating an author and artist I'm a sucker for puzzles too. Have a Wubulous Day!
Comment: Hi Linda!! Oh what a lovely swap! Thank you so much! The card is just so beautiful! I think I am actually going to put it in a Journal I am making of my bible study! I am sure I can't bear to part with it! Okay now! You must have been in my kitchen recently! My sweet hubby was just asking if we could please have something other than chicken for meals or hamburgers! (I am not a very diverse cook!) So I am sure to WOW him with the Tamale Pie! I am super excited to try it! THe Hawaii State bird sure is cute, but somehow, I would think their bird would be some exotic colorful creature, don't you? :) Love the joke! And the scripture. I am glad He knows what I am trying to say even when I cannot get the words out. Thank you so much for putting together such a heart felt swap for me. It has made me smile!! Have a great weekend!
Comment: Thank you for the lovely card and great Love & Compassion Scriptures!!! This was some great Happy Mail! It put a smile on my face!!! I Luv the extras too!!! There are so many great scriptures it was hard to pick just 3 wasn't it?!?!?!? ;-)
Comment: Thank you for the gift, my stocking will be overflowing this year. I haven't seen the Nativity movie, so will need to check that out this year. Thank you for the ideas, the cards and the bookmark too, :)
Comment: Thanks for the tip! I am going to try to stretch in the mornings more :)
Response: I know a guy who didn't stretch. He picked up his small child one day and injured his back. He ended up having to go for physical therapy and take pain pills. It was a hard lesson for him to learn.
Comment: Thank you! I really enjoyed reading your list of things that make you happy! I also really like the postcard. I am going to give the bookmark to my daughter. It is a really good one for her. My son thought the card was cute. He loves birds. Of course at age 15, he'd probably be mad at me if he knew that I told he said it was cute. Hahaha... Have A Happy Day! :)
Comment: I really enjoyed reading your letter. I loved your comparison of the 2 Cor 5:17 to a butterfly !! :) I will pray for your prayer request to be granted !! I'm a military wife & that is a wonderful thing to pray for !! :) I will write soon ! <3
Comment: What a wonderful envelope filled with such special goodies! Thank you so much! You've sent me the first Snoopy stickers and I am so excited... Loved Snoopy when I was much younger and the love seems to have come back :-) The postcards are so cool! My daughter is very excited too...thank you for including her! And the green memos...Wow...this is a very special and thoughtful swap...Thank you!!
Comment: Thank you for the great note and ideas for improving your world. I have thought about doing something like this and think you have inspired me to go up to a local day care center and see how I can help. Thank you, too, for joining the swap.
Response: It is fun and rewarding! I'm glad that you were inspired. Just let them know that you want to reach out and help.
Comment: This is a really cute card! I love the Psalms too. I remember reading them to my Grandmother when I was younger because her vision wasn't very good anymore. I think that's how I developed the habit of reading the Bible everyday.
Comment: Thanks very much for the lovely fall card! How funny that you were my partner for two swaps! It's so exciting that you will be in your new house for Christmas! Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas!
Response: That was funny that we were partners for the two swaps. Have yourself a wonderful Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Comment: Happy 4th of July Linda,
Thank you for the neat card. You just can't go wrong with a patriotic card. Red, white & blue is one of my favorite themes! Have a safe and happy 4th of July. blessings, ellie
Comment: Hi! Thank you -so much- for the lovely card, it's beautiful! :D I also joined Swap-Bot because I like to collect postcards, but I had fun with this project, so who knows, if the opportunity ever comes up again, I might try another one of these swaps! :) (Just need to build up my rubber stamp collection more!) Hope you're having a great day! <3
Response: I'm glad that you're enjoying swapping! Thanks for the rating.
Thank you so much for the cute card you made and the bookmark! I enjoyed the wishes and I am letting the peace of God rule in my heart while I am laying about with a bad cold. So thank you!
Charlotte Huntley (porpie5)
Response: You're welcome. Hope you're feeling better from the cold.
Comment: Lovely card and love your note. Now you've got me curious to learn more about St.Patrick! And kudos for your work with seniors. I know how much it means to them, to have someone come and do little activities with them. Thank you for a wonderful swap!
Response: You're welcome! Why not go to the library and find a bio about St. Patrick. I enjoyed reading the children's book on his life.
Comment: Thanks for the card you made.It is very pretty!! I hope life gets better for you soon. It is so hard to lose loved ones. Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas to you. God Bless you and your family!
Comment: Thank you for creating this swap and for allowing me the opportunity to minister to the person I sent to. She said it was exactly what she needed to hear. I will be looking forward to when my card shows up....:)
Comment: Linda, Thank you for the beautiful PC! Yellow Plumeria are my favorite flower from HI! They smell so sweet! I tried to get one to grow up here in Alaska, from a sprig, I bought, but it didn't live for very long up here. Thanks for the great quote as well! Hugs and Mahalo from Alaska, Sherry
Comment: Thanks for the card. Sounds like you have a busy life. I was born in Hawaii and have been back twice now and planing to go again this Oct. We stay at bellows. My sister (coolbeans) and I learned how to make leis the last time we were there. Have a great summer.
Comment: It is so cool getting all these postcards. Today they all came at once. I loved the card and wish that I was there. I hope that we can keep in touch and be pen pals. Let me know okay. Thanks again
Response: I'm sorry but I don't have time to have pen pals at this time. I'm glad that you liked the postcards.
Comment: thank you so much! everything is lovely indeed. Tuesday's did not come, but i'm sure it will. mine was mailed the same day i marked sent, so hopefully you will have it soon! again, thank you and keep me in prayer. :)
hi! your re-sent of Tuesday came, and the original one did too! :) thanks so much! :)
Response: Hope Tuesday's envelope came. I'm praying for you.
Comment: what an awesome and truthful God perspective on this devotional. i have participated (and continue) to participate in more of your swaps than any other. God is working through you here on this site. Keep up the good work! your insight touched my heart, soul, and mind. keep me in your prayers. love, thehurriedmommy
Response: Thanks for the comments. I am happy to hear that the Lord is using these swaps to minister to people. I'll be praying for you.
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful Christmas card! It is 32 degrees here today, AND we have already had our first snow of the winter (last weekend)! They are calling for more snow this week, too...so definitely not 89!
Comment: Aloha and Happy Holidays Linda. I received your beautiful handmade (I assume) card. I wish I were in HI basking in that beautiful weather. It's actually "warmed" up to the 30s here in MD. We've had days lately that have felt like 19 and 20 degrees. I envy you. :) Wishing you a wonderful holiday season and prosperous 2011.
Comment: Thanks for the story. I know PTSD is terrible problem and has been after all wars [long before it had a name]. I'd have loved it if you had told the story from the point of view of the woman who got the letter with a few flashbacks of her remembering very good moments with the man. As a writer you took the easy way out and so did not create characters but only related an incident without actual emotional involvement. I hope you don't mind my saying that; I am about to teach a new writing class and I can't help thinking of giving writers a little nudge.
Comment: What a cute little journal! I haven't got to read it all yet, but you obviously put a lot of work into i. Thanks so much!
ps. one entry really stood out to me about children being a blessing...I can say that from my experience, they are an amazing blessing because they show you more about human nature and God's relationship with His children than you can't fathom outside of a close relationship with a child. They also require immense patience, sacrifice, character building, and change (if you do it right. lol) but my kids brighten my every day too!. Just my thoughts. :)
Comment: I absolutely love this advice because I do waaaay too much of this. Thank you.
46. What piece of life advice would you like to share? Don't spend your life kicking yourself over past mistakes. Dust yourself off and get back up.
Response: It is easy for us to be too hard on ourselves. I realized that I needed to "chill."
Comment: Thank you for the cards and stickers (hello kitty the thinking of you card is so pretty with colour choices and the butterflies
---> and the birthday card, I love the cake and ribbon. Is the "happy birthday" a stamp?
ps: your mail made my day! :)
Response: The "Happy Birthday" is a stamp. I'm glad that you liked the cards.
i am so grateful that the hawaiian
islands are a state of america ~
how fortunate to be able to live in
such a paradise, agreed!
thanks so much for keeping in touch
with the mainland =)
Response: It is so nice to wake up in the morning to a blue sky and nice tropical scenery outside.
Comment: Hi Linda, thanks for the card. It isn't autumn in Australia, it's Spring. We have had a heat wave the past few days. Aussies don't celebrate thanksgiving - I think it's more of an American tradition.
Looking forward to christmas though! Margarita
Response: Your welcome for the card. I didn't know that they don't celebrate Thanksgiving in Australia. Have a very Merry Christmas.
Comment: wow Linda! thank you so much for the cookbook filled with lots of great recipes! I can tell you put a lot of effort into this swap with page after page of delicious sounding meals and snacks. I'm making a grocery list now ... :)
Comment: Thanks so much! The last few weeks have been especially busy at work. It was nice to come home each day and find a surprise in my mailbox. Lots and lots of hearts to you because it takes effort and time to come up with 7 different swaps and send them on 7 different days. Thanks so much! :)
Comment: Thanks for your letter. It was fun to read about how someone else got their crafty beginning. I found swap-bot pretty well the same way you did, looking for sites similar to postcrossing.com (exchanging postcards)
Comment: Two cards, wheee! Both lovely, as well.
Thank you for the bird house and the piano ... did you send that one to me special because you saw in my profile I play? The bird house has very nice composition and color choices. I like them both. Thanks!
Response: I'm glad that you like the cards. I did notice that you play the piano. What is your favorite song that you play on the piano?
Comment: Linda, I LOVE the postcards you sent! The one with the heart shaped rocks was a special treat, that is so thoughtful of you. It is really amazing that you had that image! And I admire your design on the cat postcard, it's so clever! They are both wonderful, it was a lovely surprise!
Comment: I was very disappointed with this swap. I was expecting something else, and got two cards that were not what I would call whimsical. As the host of this swap, I specifically stated "contact your swap partner if you have any questions." Due to this and one other poor swap, I am leaving swap bot. It is very disappointing to give your all in a swap and wind up with something inferior.
Comment: thanks for the atc - it was really cute. however, whatever it was that you put under the dancer's feet was broken, and in too many pieces to figure out what it was. the tape is still there, and a couple of pieces of something white - but the rest was in pieces. i do like the piece, i am only telling you because you might not want to post whatever it was again. too fragile.
Response: It was a small seashell that I got from a beach here in Hawaii. I better not send any shells unless I make sure that it's wrapped up in bubblewrap. Thanks for letting me know. I wanted to give you a hint of what it looks like in Hawaii.
Comment: Linda, Oh my goodness with great note cards! I have been to Ewa Beach....my daughter lived there when she was stationed at Pearl Harbor, wish she would go back there I enjoyed every minute of my stay there! Thanks! Lynnie
