Comment: Thank you so much for your letter! And the pc you sent with it! Thank you so much for the book recommendations, I'll have to check them out. "Wire in the Blood" for sure! Would it be ok if I sent you a letter back?
Response: I'm glad you enjoyed my letter and my book recommendations - I'll send you a PM with my address.
Comment: Thanks for your swap. I'm so sorry about the stuff you had come up during it, and I sure how things are better now. I hope you did enjoy what time you could devote to reading and I hope you'll try another RaT in the future. Hugs to you!
Comment: Hi Louise! What a treat to get your letter! What a change from England to Australia! You must be opposite seasons from me, as it is winter here and you are going on summer break! How funny! I enjoyed reading about your boys! I must say, working at a zoo would be very interesting! I hope you get that library built in your house for all your book! Better buy a lottery ticket!! Take care and thanks so much for writing! :O) I hope we meet again too!
Comment: Thank you for the wonderful map postcard (my favorites) of the Crystal Coast. It is an area of the country I would love to visit as I am a big birdwatcher. Sending you back the Buckeye Candy recipe. These are delicious by the way and the "unofficial" candy of Ohio (I live in Columbus -- home of the Ohio State Buckeyes!). Fun swap! <3<3<3 **And the postage stamps you used are gorgeous!!
Response: I'm glad you enjoyed the cards and stamps!
Comment: Thank you for the great pc of the ruins of Panama Cathedral. I will send your lovely maxi card on it's way by Monday. I've not come across a maxi card in person but can see the appeal. I see many requests for this type of card. Best wishes and take care.
Comment: Thanks for sending your pretty NI card and the B&J card for me. Those NI cards are indeed hard to come by. Ad cards are less plentiful here than years ago but I know places to go since I try to collect them. Your card will be on the way back after the holiday here (Columbus Day).
Comment: Thank you so much for doing this private swap! I'm going to hang onto everything until we do our Australia unit, but I know the kids will LOBE looking though everything, and adding the Australian flag stickers to their class passport books!
Comment: Always lovely to get a swap from you. I enjoyed reading about the book you chose. It sounds interesting. . I will reply to the letter you sent soon as well. Have a wonderful day and happy swapping!
Response: Glad you enjoyed it - I look forward to hearing from you.
Comment: Hi Louise! I enjoyed reading your roulette swap! I've read Tuesdays with Morrie, and I loved that book! I almost always buy my books secondhand, as well. It's the only way I can keep up with my "habit." :0)
Response: I'm glad you enjoyed my letter. Reading is a real addiction isn't it!
Comment: Thank you very much for your list, "To Kill a Mocking Bird" is one of my super favourite too. And I got "Shadow of the Wind" just few hours before you sent me the list, what a coincidence xD
I'll make sure to give a look at the others too.
Comment: Louise, sorry --- thought I had rated this one. How nice for you to have heard this author @ a book festival! I've not read Lackberg, but she is one I want to read someday! Thanks again for your thoughts & comments -- always enjoy reading them.
Comment: Louise, always good to hear from you -- I am way behind here (will explain in my letter). I have read some Jo Nesbo but not The Bat. Didn't realize he had one set in Australia, makes it more intriguing!
Comment: Thank you so much for letting me know about this book. I have heard so much about it but didn't have any idea what it was about. I'm glad you enjoyed reading it too. I will definitely need to give it a try in the future.
Comment: Thank you so much for the book. I was hoping that you were going to pick that one. Can't wait to practice my French a bit. ^_^ Thank you for hosting this this swap. I was so happy that I could finally join a bookswap in the Carpe Librum group. This is such a great idea because there are no postage costs and I get that books can be expensive to send outside the USA. But I'm so sad that there weren't more people who joined this swap, because I would love to do this swap again in the future. I would definatly join if you would host this again.
Response: I'm glad you are happy with the book. I will have another go in a month or so with a different price range and hope that more people join.
Comment: I loved reading your reading log--how do you find time to be in so many book clubs? I can barely manage one! I like reading crime novels too and now you've given me an idea of what to start next. Case History and Extraordinary People both sound the most interesting to me right now--I will have to find them at the library.
I'm glad you enjoyed my log - I love my book clubs but don't always read the books involved.
January is always a good month to read as I work in a school and it is the summer holidays.
Comment: What a treat to open this and see one of my favorite books ever as the first one on your list! You got some good state coverage going with some repeats. Hope your next quarter of reading is fun!
Comment: Wowsers, did this card really go from Australia to Korea in 7 days? Haha Thank you Louise, I love the photo of the seal in blue water. The Australian stamps with the beach and fish on them are new additions to my stamp collection. Here is a heart for you.
Response: I'm glad the card got to you in record time!
Comment: thank you for your letter. I can't believe you went for a year and stayed! I have been to australia 3 times. My aunt married an australian 47 years ago. she lives in deniliquin new south wales. the world gets smaller and smaller. 5 years ago my son and I went to visit her middle daughter for 10 weeks. we had a blast! now I know someone else in the land down under! have a great day.
Response: I'd love to meet you when you come for your next visit - it would be great to meet someone from swap-bot in real life.
Comment: Thanks so much for your swap. :) I have been re-reading Harry Potter by listening to the audio as well, though I've been listening to Jim Dale, who has done a great job with them. It's fun to re-visit and see all the differences from the movies which I know so well.
Response: Glad you enjoyed my log - I'm just about to start The Prisoner of Azkaban.
Comment: Hi Louise, I've read Gone Girl & the 1st Harry Potter from your list. A few others are new to me & some are on my reading radar. You had a good reading month. Also, thanks for the letter & I will write to you soon.
Comment: I loved this swap! Thanks for the pretty writing paper too! I have to look up this author as he sounds like my kind of writer! Have you ever read Dana Stabenow's Kate Shugak series? Kate is a PI in Alaska. Dana also writes a Liam Campbell series...he is an Alaska State trooper. Hugs from Alaska, Sherry PS: It's brilliant that you used music in the letter, the PC and on the envie as well! 5 stars!!!
Response: Glad you liked it - I just managed to have all the right items. I'll look up your suggestions
Comment: Thank you so much for the wonderful lists you sent me. I have to say that with your favorites i have heard of all the authors but have yet to read any of their books. I must try one and step outside my comfort zone! But i have read Larssons trilogy! I loved it! Again thank you it was so interesting lots of love to you x
Comment: I got your journal yesterday and I'm excited to be the first to write in it. I am already signed up for next months swap so I will for sure be sending it on. I'll let you know when I send it to the next person. :)

Comment: Thanks for the lovely letter which I enjoyed reading. I lived in Australia for a year and reading your letter made me want to visit the good old town of Temora again. I remember very fondly my geography teacher Mrs Huxley who was a very dear teacher :)
Comment: Thanks for the interesting quote. I have seen that book in the shops, but haven't read it...yet. Is it a good read? I was also excited to get a PC from Australia. I have different boxes for each continent in our homeschool room...and this one will be added to my favorite box...Australia! Thank you!!
Response: The Thirteenth Tale is one of my absolute favourite books of all time - its a great read with a twist at the end. I am eagerly waiting for Diane Setterfield's next book which is being published soon.
Glad you enjoyed the card and quote.
Comment: Thank you very much for the recipes! They look delicious. I said "wow" when I unfolded the paper. I'm almost done with yours, had a break of a week in between (vacation), but I'm sending it out soon :)
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful postcard showing a stream. The water going over moss covered rocks is so pretty. I love the different kinds of fern and other greenery too. Please help me find the "A" word ~ I'm still searching for it.
Response: I'm glad you liked the card. A is for Australia - I probably should have looked harder for an object!
Comment: Thank you so much for sharing your life with me! I loved reading all of it! Fish and Chips by the ocean sounds absolutely lovely and I think it's SO NEAT that you've had a recipe published. That's so much fun! Keep playing those puzzles, i'll keep my fingers crossed that you win a vacation! Hugs to you and your family (the animal family too!) Thank you again for sharing with me!
Response: I'm glad you liked it. It was quite hard in the end thinking of 25 different things!
Comment: I love this postcard. And how lucky you are to get a large box with postcards from a friend. But I must not complain, On a fleamarket I bought a box with more than 200 postcards for only EURO 5,00. which is a little more than 7 Australian dollars. Not bad at all. All nice postcards of places in Europe.
Comment: Thank you for the letter and surprise!! :) It was very interesting to read about your life in Australia! :) Australia has always been one of my favorites to learn about and I'd love to visit there!! :D Your job sounds interesting! Bet you never have a boring day ^.^ I want to work in education too and would like to be a middle school teacher of history. I hope you get your ultimate house with a library! :) Seb Coe sounds interesting too!:) Best of luck to Jack and Paul too! :) Being a zookeeper sounds like a very challenging and interesting job! :) I bet he'll be great at it!! :D Thank you so so much again, Louise!! :) Blessings to you!! ^.^ xx
Comment: Thank you for the letter Louise! And the postcard is wonderful. I received your letter right before leaving on vacation, so my boyfriend and I both enjoyed the tea you sent on our first morning in Hawaii. :)
Comment: Thank you very much for the beautiful pc of the inside of the Sidney Opera House! I had never seen it previously so the pc was a delightful surprise. Also, I appreciate the book recommendation which is appreciated.
