Comment: Hello Aimee,
Thank for the wonderful collection of red beads you sent me for this swap. I appreciate the wide variety of beads that you provided me. The collection of beads will allow me to do a variety of things. Happy New Year!
Response: I'm so happy that you liked the selection! Happy 2016 to you!
Comment: I love the selection you chose. Of course I always like dogs but the best one was the man/woman statute with a bird landed on her head. . . the looks on the faces of the statutes really does go with what is going on at that particular moment -- too funny. Thanks again for the good selection ~~
Comment: What great PCs!! I love the Finger Lake ones. . . and the Aloha one is a favorite of mine as I've been on that beach when I visited the Big Island several years ago. Thanks again for the great PCs. . . and sorry it took so long for me to rate ~
Comment: Thank you for all of the great cards! I adore the cat cards - the cat in the sink drinking water is totally my cats (especially Yoda, our Siamese!). I hope you have a wonderful day and winter treats you well! Take care!
Comment: Aimee, another great assortment of postcards. The postcard of the Lighthouse at Two Lights brought back memories. We used to take weekend excursion in Maine when we lived in Massachusetts. One of our favorite places would be to visit this lighthouse. Thank you for bringing memories back. Shirley
Comment: Thank you so much for the fun selection, they're all profile favorites. And a. Fun idea-book illustrations :) of course the two Nijntje are my favorite. But they are all cute and fun, real keepers!

Response: You are so welcome! I'm glad it gets a spot of honor. It's one of the best rabbit PCs I've seen. Thanks for the heart!

Response: Aw, thanks! I'm so glad that you liked the PCs! Thank you for the Heart!
Comment: Thanks so much for re-sending this swap! You truly didn't have to add in the extra postcards, but trust me they are all being enjoyed and making great additions to my collection. Thanks again and I hope to see you in future swaps! ♥♥♥
Response: I am ****so**** sorry I misread the instructions! Thanks for your patience - I'm glad that you are enjoying the PCs!
Comment: Thank you for the nice cards - I love the art cards especially! I hope you are having a wonderful day and that this winter is not too hard on those of you in the East (it's 100 degrees here in California right now - in October - egads!). Take care.
Response: So glad you liked the cards! We had a crazy hot day last weekend, but we're supposed to get snow this weekend! Groan! Hopefully you get better weather soon!
Comment: More GREAT cards from Aimee! Thanks much! The Beatles Abbey Road one would be my 'fav', but I did already have it (purchased there at THAT corner in London, btw). I can always use it in trade, hopefully for another rock card.
Comment: I can't describe to you how happy I was with the package you sent me!! Every card was more amazing than the one prior! Thanks so much for the University cards as well as the Oklahoma card!! Simply amazing :)
Comment: Another great batch of postcards--thanks, Aimee! My favs are the Cooperstown baseball card and the Geo. Washington Hasbrouck house one. I'm trying to talk my husband into a NY trip for next year and maybe I'll be able to visit it!
Comment: Beautiful painting of a mother doe with her twin fawns, artwork on postcard you sent to me. Lovely wildlife painting shown on a postcard from the Western Art collection of the Rockwell Museum. This postcard I will put up on display in my apt. Thank you!
Comment: Nijntje always puts a huge smile on my face! You sent a wonderful selection of cards, most are going into my keep stash, not swap stash :) I'm guessing the yarn is zazzle? I'm going to have to look if the whole alphabet is there, that is cool. Thanks for your patience with my rating while away!
Comment: Hi Aimee - Thank you for the bunch of cool cards. The "Scraps of Paper" by Judith Supine is incredible. Best of luck with the house sitch. Thanks again for the cards, and for joining this swap! (P.S. Love the bracelet, the photographed one. Nice work!).
Response: I'm glad you like the PCs! I love selecting postcards for you because I imagine we have the same taste in them. Thanks for the heart!
Comment: Thanks so much for the awesome Oregon postcard, Aimee. I love it! And yes, the winters here are atrocious and make life difficult, but there is so much to do otherwise! I have not tired of this city yet, for sure. I hope you have a great week! :)
Comment: Hey Aimee! Thanks for joining the swap. I love the PCs you sent, as always. The twin one is creepy and beautiful, a combo which I always enjoy :) I hope the move went well and that you've settled in nicely. (PS - A big thank you for the stamps, as well!).
Comment: Aimee ~~ WOW. . . you sent fabulous PCs for this swap and so many. . . are you cleaning out your stash :-) I absolutely love them all but especially the Peter Pan, the POPs one, and the three college buildings. Thank you so very much dear friend ~~
Response: You are very welcome! I have been doing some destashing - we moved into a place with 30x more land but 1/2 as much square footage! :)
Comment: Aimee. . . As you always do, you selected great PCs for me for this swap! I loved the one of the Riverwalk in San Antonio - I lived there for 7 years and it was my favorite place to go; so many fabulous restaurants, bars and entertainment and just a wonderful place to stroll on a Sunday afternoon or a beautiful evening. Of course I loved the dog PC. . I am such a dog lover! Thanks again my dear friend and hope you're getting moved in - I know how difficult that can be but it's always so exciting. Thanks again ~~
Comment: Aimee ~ This is a great PC of Hawaii - just where you'd like to be stranded! I have a friend who lived in Hawaii and I went over to visit her. . . so beautiful and lush but the cane spiders and geckos were not my idea of 'neighbors' :-) Thanks again for the great PC and have a wonderful week ~~
Comment: Aimee, nice to have you as a partner again. I really like the postcards you sent! That Nevada maps is different, the ad cards are awesome and the vintage food postcard is perfect! Thank you so much. Have a great day!
Comment: Thank you so much for the quote! Sounds interesting! I'd say I've done that before as well, many times! My trip was excellent, until my flight home got cancelled! Eeeekkkk! Made it home a day late, so all is good! I'm eventually going to get pictures on Flicker! Thank you for your well wishes for a good trip and for your patience with my rating! It is greatly appreciated!
Comment: What a wonderful packet! Thanks for noticing my love of wolves - beautiful cards btw! I also liked the homemade envie- great pic. I really like the moon chart & fox cards too. Thanks for everything & thanks for the well wishes too! Jen
Comment: Hello Aimee! I'm giving you a "Heart" for the "pooch" drawing on your postcard you sent to me for the swap. Thank you for the beautiful moody view postcard of Portland Head Light. What an iconic view of this Lighthouse with threatening clouds & rocks. No, I've not been inside a lighthouse either though I've been to see 3 of them - Maine, Cape May NJ, & St. Michaels MD. Hope some day to see a lighthouse here in Florida. St. Augustine, FL Lighthouse is said to be haunted. Happy Summer!
Response: I'm sorry I'm not a better artist! :) Glad you liked the PC - thanks for the heart. Hope we both get to see lighthouses inside one day.
Comment: Thanks for the Winnie the Pooh card, Aimee. I had to chuckle about the club you had. My best friend when I was on a farm in Nebraska and I and her sister had a similar Birdwatcher's Club which we took very seriously, too. Amazingly, the friend is now working for Texas Parks and Wildlife and is their specialist for identifying birds in the western half of the state. She WAS serious about that bird club! Have a good weekend!
Comment: It's been awhile but Portland seems like the type of place to offer Vegan Donuts. When I was there the food vendors at an outdoor event were selling asparagus in many forms, I like asparagus so I thought it was cool! Thanks for the card!
Comment: I love the postcard you sent even if it does give me vertigo every time I think about napping on an I-beam high above the city. The "Made in Amereica" stamp is perfect. Thank you for a great swap!
Response: I know! I can't imagine working on those skyscrapers! Thanks for the heart!
Comment: Aimee, thank you for the wonderful assortment of postcards. My hubby and I have been to the Nubble Lighthouse, York, ME numerous times and always ate fried clams at the little take out restaurant they have there. Just a beautiful spot. I am going to have to find those photos and have some postcards made up. Thank you gain. Shirley
Response: Oh, that's so cool! Sounds like a wonderful place to visit. Thanks for the heart!
Comment: Hi Aimee, Thank you for all the fun postcards you sent for NPCW. I just returned from my trip to Virginia and North Carolina and will try to get all the postcards I received onto the website over the next few days. Enjoy the day!
Comment: Thank you for the PCs Aimee - especially the NZ flag! That's one I didn't have. With talk of changing our flag (heaven forbid) I'll take all the NZ flag cards I can get! Lol. So - an extra special package for me. <3
Comment: Great selection of PCs for this scavenger hunt! I don't have a favorite because I like them all but the vintage ones are always interesting. I always like to see if the old motels/hotels are still around. . .alas, this one doesn't show up any longer so imagine it fell by the wayside as so many of the motels did. Thanks again for the great selection and have a great weekend. . . and week :-)
Comment: Aimee ~~ Thank you so much for the Pomeranian PC . . .my favorite dog of course! I hope you'll get the land and imagine you'll have lots of animals. . . any more pugs?? Thanks again for the great PC and happy swapping ~~
Comment: Thanks for the Miffy postcard and a pointer to the parade website. Charles Schultz is from St Paul and for several years we had Peanuts characters like this, as a memorial and later auctioned for art scholarships. Every once in a while I spot a permanent installation in a yard or in front of a shop.
Comment: Oh, I love this card, Aimee. When we lived in Toronto, G. and I used to go to NYC a couple of times a year. We'd usually see a show on Broadway, and then stick around for a day of shopping! I miss those trips!
Comment: Oh my, what wonderful PCs you sent to me!! They are all great but I especially love the hat. . . and who can resist Esther the Wonder pig!! That one's going on my refrigerator because she is so darn cute. Thanks again for a wonderful selection of PCs ~~
Comment: Thank you so much for sending extra! All the cards you sent are fabulous, I love all the bug ones! And of course the Buffalo! Unfortunately the naked postcard you sent looks like it went for a swim before getting to me >':Poor thing
Comment: Thank you for the pc and good luck on your studies, I have been off for awhile, waiting for my student teaching, and I have really enjoyed it. I have been in school for over 8 yrs and really needed the break.
Comment: I know I give hearts freely, but this time I mean it! What a perfect theme for me. I love the crazy royal family, with all their warts. And the yarn will be perfect for my project. Thank you so much, Aimee. Hugs, Joy.
Response: So glad you liked the PCs. Can't wait to see your project!!! Thanks for the heart.
Comment: Thanks for an interesting and unusual Mother Goose illustration. It is quite comical to say the least. Hope you have spring in full force by now and that it is erasing the dreadful winter your area has endured!
Comment: I don't have any Day of the Dead themed cards, so thank you for this one. There are no large celebrations here either, but you can find small festivities here & there. I would like to experience one of the really large celebrations as well.
Comment: I'm always pleased when you are my sending partner, Aimee. You always manage to find cards I enjoy & this swap was no exception. I especially love the ivory Ganesh, and oooh, those big glass eyes! Thank you very much.
Comment: Hi Aimee! I love the quote you chose from Hilary Mantel. "But the pulse, obdurate, keeps its rhythm" - wow. Yes, these days I am indeed trying to thrive in spite of myself...you don't know how apt this quote really is :D Great PC, too. Cheers.
Response: I'm glad it resonated with you as it did me! Good luck!
Comment: Aimee, I love the bird postcards you sent! We see Egrets here at times, they seem to just appear behind the tractor driving through the field so they can eat all the bugs we are stirring up. Thank you so much. Thank you for the extra map as well, it is a new one for me.
Extra Hearts for you. Have a great day!
Comment: Aimee -- I love night views of cities - it always makes them look so beautiful even if they aren't quite so pretty in the daylight! I really liked that your stamp matched the PC :-) Have a great week ~~
Comment: What a fantastic fairy PC. . . it's going into my fairy PC collection! Thanks so much. . . and hope your spring weather is continuing. It's gorgeous here with daffodils, hyacinths, crocus, lilacs in bloom and lots of sunshine. Expecting rain tonight but that's always welcome this time of year. Have a great week ~~
Comment: Hello Aimee! We meet up again in a postcard swap. I enjoy doing the alphabet PC swaps as I receive amazing postcards in my mail box. Thank you for the New Orleans Dixieland Jazz Band postcard you sent to me. I'm putting this one up on display in my apt.
Comment: Aimee, it is so nice to swap with you again. I love this gorgeous postcard you sent me. Now I have to check out some on line museum shops and see if I can find anything. Hope all is well with you and yours.
Response: I'm glad you like it! The UK National Portrait Gallery has PCs online, as does MOMA (their postcard books have glue not perforations), the Met, and I'll try to think of some others!
Comment: Thanks for the great postcards. Love them all. I have been to the Grand Canyon, many years ago, but it was a fantastic vacation. Love the Disney cards also. Happy swapping - it is always good to swap with you,Linda
Response: You are very welcome! Thanks for the heart!
Comment: Thanks for the racecar pc and stamp. I have become more sensitive to loud sounds compared to my teen/early 20s years. I think earplugs are a good idea. New generations are sure to be hard of hearing!
Comment: What a nice bunch of your local map cards. I don't have any of them. And you are the first person to send yarn from my wish list. I'm still gathering yarns for a special scarf. I'm almost there. Thank you for a great swap.
Response: Glad the maps were new to you! I will send more yarn - I just have to go through the bin where I put yarn left over from projects.
Comment: Aimee ~ I loved the quote you sent. . .certainly has to be someone spurring on growth of everything :-) The PC is so dark although I'm sure the actual place is beautiful. . . I often wonder why whoever takes the original picture can't use better lighting on places that are truly beautiful. . . can't they see they didn't give the place its due?!? Thanks for your 'ugly duckling' and the quote. . . have a great week ~~
Comment: I love this PC. . . sums up what most people think as they get older. Reading the info about you is very similar to mine although I'm a leggings person and I crochet but my eyes and hair are the same as yours :-) Thanks for the great PC and sharing info about yourself. . .always nice to put info with a partner you've swapped with for quite some time. Have a great week ~~
Comment: Thanks for the Van Gogh! I'd like to be lying around in the hay too - on a cool day full of sunshine. :o) When I was a kid I used to play 'king of the mountain' on my grandpa's haystacks. He indulged me because I was the first grandchild, and the favorite. ;oP
Comment: Hello Aimee & thank you for sending me a PC showing a favorite dog breed! Love it. And darned USPS (mis)handling tore PC in half. Some one at post office carefully taped PC back together before placing in my mail box. Considerate. Love this PC even with tear! Yes, its that time of year ... my sister's dogs, friend's dog, sneezing & sneezing. Its tree pollen, in the air, falls on the grass, dogs sniff & get nose full of pollen, then Ggaah-choo! Happy First Day of Spring!
Response: Oh, poo! Sorry that it got damaged. When I find another whippet PC, I'll send it t you!
Comment: Aimee ~ Great PCs! I especially liked the Coney Island Dairyland (love these types of places) and the Renwick Gallery - such a beautiful building and such a great place to visit. Thanks again and have a great week ~~
Comment: Your card arrived 2 days ago, but I didn't have enough time to learn more about it.
I've found the website of the museum and was impressed by the story of the theft and the fact of not changing the galleries. There are several masterpieces of Rembrandt and Vermeer, it makes this story rather Dutch.
I also love the stamps of "USA going green" you used and now I am wondering: do you use a bike?
Response: It's an interesting story! There is a fictional account of it (The Art Forger). Sadly, like most Americans, I don't ride a bike all that often (though my husband does). I didn't learn to ride a bike until I was 10 or 11, and I never really became a confident bike rider. Going on the street really scares me!
Comment: Hi Aimee! I believe the swap was for 5 cards LOL! Thank you very much. Even though this was a profile-based swap, I always love and appreciate the cards you choose for me. Hope you're keeping warm where you are.
Response: LOL! Glad you liked them. I'm getting your same so often - I love sending to you, but I'm running out of cool PCs I haven't sent you yet!
Comment: Hello Aimee & thank you for the "T" is for Tiger postcard you sent me. Love the postcard as first time I've seen Tiger among lilies. Your husband was lucky to get so close to a real Tiger cub. Sadly, I can't go near them due to my cat allergies.
Comment: Hello Aimee! Yes, Siamese cats are my favorite too. As young girl I owned a Siamese cat. Sadly he died young of feline leukemia. Also later found I had cat allergy and couldn't own a cat. Love the postcard you sent to me showing the two Siamese cats. Fun swap! Best Wishes to you for '2016!
Comment: Hi Aimee! I love the card and the cards and the stamps! I wish Canada Post would come out with some heart stamps...Btw, I love that Banksy image and it's one I don't have! Love! Thank you. Hope you have a lovely Valentine's Day.
Response: Ohh, glad to send you a new Banksy! I'm always on the look out for PCs with his street art!
Comment: So sorry Aimee not magic plane to fly you down here to Florida right now. On the weather channel TV I saw big storm missed upstate NY. Hooray! Loved the "O" - Orchid postcard you sent to me, one of my favorite flowers. Fun swap!

Comment: Aimee, thank you so much for the wonderful postcards. I can't believe how much Ithaca's Main Street looks so much like Northampton. Massachusetts. Love the covered bridge one also. Thank you again. Shirley
Comment: Thank you Aimee as the postcard & matching postage stamp took me back in time to when the 1963 March on Washington, DC happened, My Dad worked at Dept. of Justice, our house was near NIH Bethesda, MD. How I remember the times, the events, happenings afterwards. I graduated Senior High School in 1970 to give you a time - reference. - Kathy
Comment: I give you a heart because you gave me goose bumps today.
I had never heard of the Sanitation Workers Strike before, but the 1963 March on Washington and Rosa Parks are famous.
Thnak you so much for creating this wonderful combination of postcard and stamps!!
Comment: Love the Doctor Who card is was wonderful. I actually think Capaldi is my favorite doctor although I agree some of the story lines were a little weak...the Daleks (IMO) have been overdone, lets bring in some new villians. Also I did NOT like The Master. I enjoyed the Christmas special a lot, except I was very surprised to see the Clara returned. Anyway, thanks again! Take Care!
Comment: I love the New York postcard. I'd love to go there and see the Statue Of Liberty and other New York landmarks. I'd love to see Niagara on NY and Canada side. I saw it on the Canada side when I was a kid and thought it was cool! Angel from Ohio
Comment: Hey Darzy! Good to see you in my mailbox again in this New Year! Thanks so much for a great packet of PCs... Especially like the Boston museum card, great architecture - but the Cavellini bird is my favourite!
See you in the mail!
Comment: Love love love the PC! I had not heard of her before! She's adorable...I've been stalking for about an hour now... so cute. I love their bunny tulip too! If you ever want to do a private vegan themed swap I would love to! I need more vegan friends haha I'm surrounded by carnivores! Thank you for enlightening me with this wonderful girl!
Response: Glad you like it - I get such a kick out of her instagram. Would love to do a vegan swap. There's also a VEG friends swapbot group: http://www.swap-bot.com/group/94a49d9a6bf62cf8203a1fb466b21d2d/about.
Comment: Awesome!!! I didn't know there was such a postcard as Miami Senior High! I went to Southwest Miami Senior High. Love the turtle stamp too! A stack of vintage Florida PC's for me???? I feel like a kid in a candy store! I would love to give them a new home where they will be totally appreciated!!! May I send money for the mailing???? Thank you so very much!!
Response: Glad you liked the PC! I sent the postcards on Saturday, so hopefully you will get them soon. No need to give me $!
Comment: Hello Aimee,
Thank you for your patience in my rating of your swap. Thank you for the postcards you sent me for this swap. Thank you especially for the Connecticut State postcard.
Comment: Always fabulous!!! Thank you so much for all the postcards!! The turtles are awesome, as are the rest! Never worry if you send me doubles - they will be appreciated and then I can save one and use one too!!! Hope your holiday was great! : )
Comment: Wow, every one of these postcards is great! :oD I especially like the Alamo pc, as I've been interested in that particular piece of history since I was in my 20's, and it's a great card. Thanks, Aimee! :o)
Comment: It was wonderful to receive the postcards you sent for this swap. We aren't planning to travel this year either. I'm actually looking forward to having a simple, quiet Christmas. Thank you and have a fantastic Christmas!
Comment: Thanks for the Chevy card. There really were so much more ad cards around here in the 1990s and even early 2000s. I used to be able to pick up several at one time in certain cafes. Now it's a hunt!
Comment: I love this PC. . . and think raccoons are really cute. This particular PC reminds me of my black & tan Pomeranian -- she has the dark eyes, cute little black nose and has tan around her eyes and muzzle. . . sort of like this little raccoon :-) Thanks again for the cute PC . . . and hope you're doing great up that way!!
Comment: Darn I dropped the postcard in the rain and it laid there all night. We're just a little wet. lol. Cute purple piggie stamps. Cool waterfall zazzle stamp too! 17 year old Tofukey? Theyre getting betta arent they? lol. Awesum postcard too. Love the sanctuary! xoxoxo

Comment: Oh my, I am so thrilled to get the PC you sent :-) It goes right into my Peter Pan collection. . . and wouldn't it be wonderful to fly around and then go have adventures with the Lost Boys!!! Thanks again Aimee for the thoughtful PC. . . have a wonderful Thanksgiving and I hope you are OK with the snow that has hit . . . take care ~
Comment: Aimee, you have made my day big time! Thanks very much for the great cards! The Michael Jackson card is a great new one for my collection, as is the Royal Wedding one. And even though it's coming up on the end of the year, the 2014 moon cycle card is really interesting! Great swap-thx again, and I appreciate the care in picking cards you know I'd like (love!) and the extras too. It was -14 last week here and 6 degrees for a high temp one day here too-we blew away some records for November. My guess is now you may be doing the same in NY from what I've heard -- stay warm yourself! Carol in Denver
Comment: Aimee - Loved the PC. I've never been to the Memorial in Hawaii but would love to one day. My dad served in WWII in Europe, my brother was in VietNam, and my nephew was in Iraq, and I was actually born on an AF base so the military is ingrained into me and I am so thankful for all those that have served and currently serve. Thanks for the wonderful PC. Hope life is going great for you-- have a great week ~~
Comment: Thanks for the wonderful kingfisher PC! We have them here in Alaska, but they are not near these bright of colors! Right now we are in the path of a BIG typhoon, but hope it dissipates before it reaches us. They are talking about 48ft high waves. Whew. Hugs from Alaska, Sherry
Comment: Trips to the emergency vet are so scary. I'm glad your little guy is okay! The cards you sent for this swap are fantastic. I had no idea that there was a National Postcard Week or that Ithaca published a commemorative postcard for the event. Thank you for a great swap.
Comment: Thank you Aimee for the postcard showing the cats on a bench in Rhodes, Greece. Yes, I cry too & wish that I wasn't allergic to cats (big & small,) how I would love to have a cat here in my apt. I'm not allergic to dogs though. Its OK as I can take photos of cats from a distance.
Comment: It has a cat!!! This card is supercute ^^ we don't actually celebrate Halloween here in Finland :/ but we can buy some seasonal candies and in recent yeafs there has also been costumes for kids etc but trick or treating hasn't really taken a footstep here :D thank you for the card, happy Halloween!!🎃👻
Comment: Thank you for both of the cards you sent. I haven't been there but I did see and go up in one of the smaller statues that was made by the same artist. This was in Birmingham, AL back in 1960. when I was 13.
Comment: Thanks for the poster from Zermat. I was there with my father just after a huge snowstorm to see the Matterhorn. It's an important geological site. And the nightlife in Zermat is fabulous. With regard to future archives of our ads - I don't think Google ads will make the cut.
Response: How cool! I agree - no google ads. Hopefully no used car ads either. Thanks for the heart.
Comment: Your wonderful package of 5 'W' postcards and the 'National Postcard Week' p/c came today. Thank you so much. You have sent me more than the 3 p/c required of this swap. I am heading to Singapore this weekend and I have your address so I will send you a 'thank you' p/c from there.
I have already put one of the p/cs 'The State Capitol of West Virginia' in my blog at:

Comment: Thank you for the postcard! I live in food heaven Singapore and it's really difficult for me to be vegan as there are just too many yummy things to eat. I applaud your lifestyle choice though! I love the stamps you used. Thank you!
Comment: Hello Aimee & thank you for the Big & Small dog postcard you sent to me for the swap. Currently, I can understand & know this PC as "Scout" is the miniature dachshund & "Sandy" is the German Shepherd. They will be having fun with me over a weekend in Sept. when the family goes off on their long driving trip. Wish I had a large RV to pack up dogs & go to Fort de Soto Park, FL where they have a dog beach. Dogs love the beach! Happy Labor Day Weekend to you & your pooches!
Comment: Thank you for the wonderful photo of la Tour Eiffel. fotofolio cards are among my favorites. When I visit NYC I stay with my college roommate who lives in Rye. And I find too many wonderful postcards in Grand Central Terminal.

Comment: Thank you for the beautiful postcard from Hawaii, I think it's amazing you sent you from your vacation there, means a lot. I would love to visit Hawaii soon. Hope you had a lot of fun and the postcard reminds me of Lilo and Stitch.
Comment: Thanks for the great postcards. Something to add to my collections, capitols, vintage, and a combination of a map and lighthouse postcard. Love all. Hope you have a great week and as always, it is good to swap with you,Linda
Comment: Hey, Aimee, thanks for this great PC. I have also thought about what it would be like to move to the pacific northwest. I know what you mean about having the courage to do it, thoughl. I did it, and it was only one state away, and it was rough, things are still not quite right, even after almost nine years. sorry it took me a while to rate you, I had yet some more problems with the internet, but it seems to be OK now, hopefully it will stay that way. take care, Phyllis
Comment: Thank you so much for the lovely card! I would have wanted to take all the little kitties home too! It's so sad when they don't have a home and it's so nice that you do volunteerwork for the animals. :)
Comment: You made my day! Was so happy to finally get a Maine state map card. Love the New York card---it is different then the one I have. And, thanks for the Oklahoma City capital building card. Your envelope was a happy surprise for me. Hope you got some happy mail also.
Comment: Thanks for the great Hopper theater painting card! I haven't been to the movies in ages either--usually the only ones I see in theaters are silents and early talkies at a festival we go to in New York.
Comment: Great PC as usual Aimee-thanks. I have a new connotation with this painting BTW. We were digitally fooling around with my son and we inserted a picture of him in this painting trying to scream and it turned out rather funny...
Response: Oh, too funny! I actually have a magnet with the painting on my file cabinet at work!
Comment: Thanks for the great selection of postcards,. Love them all., These are my first vintage lighthouse postcards. How nice of you to send all the extras. It if always great to have you for my partner. Have fun swapping.
Response: So glad you liked the PCs! I thought you might enjoy the vintage lighthouse postcards.
Comment: Hey, Aimee, thanks for another great card. I love it. Well if your friend only sees the scat in her yard, better than seeing the bear. LOL. I don't think bears want to be seen by humans, anyway, aren't they sort of shy? what do I know??? take care.
Response: So true! Scat better than a live bear! :)
Comment: As always, you sent fantastic PCs for this swap! I especially liked seeing the Henry Ford Museum (the building PC) as it doesn't look anything like I pictured it. Thanks again for a great selection and have a great week ~~
Comment: Aimee -- I love all the PCs you sent with this swap! They are all new to me and especially like the blue whale (Route 66) one. Thanks so much for the great selection. . . and hope you're not getting more snow - it's been a very snowy winter this year!
Comment: Bears are awesome! But I would probably faint too if I saw one in the wild.:-p Sadly enough they don't live in Belgium anymore (extinct since the Medieval Ages). Loved the postcard and definatly loved the Harry Potter Stamps :-D. Thank you, it was lovely swap.
Comment: Thanks for the great postcards. I am from Pennsylvania and I love the vintage capitol and map. The lighthouse postcard will add greatly to my collection. Again, it is so nice swapping with you.
Comment: Aimee, thank you so much for the awesome selection of postcards and the extra vintage postcards. Thanks for taking the time to read my profile! I am not sure what happened, but, the envelope arrived here with no stamps on it....kind of strange, but they got here regardless..
Have a great day!
Response: Glad you liked the PCs and that the envie reached you. I think my husband forgot to put postage on it!
Comment: Thanks, Aimee - great cards as usual. I'm always happy to see your name in my mailbox. I think my favourite in this batch is the lovely snowy New York river scene. I like pictures of winter much better than I like winter! Oh, and I love the Hopper too! And thanks for the good postage on your envelope.
Comment: WOW!!Aimee, as usual you go beyond what is called for!! Thank you so much for the wonderful cards,,,I especially love the Koala's lying in the sun!! It is going to cheer up a friend in the hospital!! OH, I just love them all!!!!!!
Comment: This is seriously one of the coolest cards that I have ever received! I love tattoos and I love women! Not so keen on prostitutes, but when it comes to postcards, it's not a problem! Thank you for making my day! If I could give you two hearts, I would! Let me know if you want to become my pen pal, I'd love to get these type of cool cards all the time!
Comment: thank you Aimee for this fantastic Degas PC. Canada Post is indeed changing things starting in March. Nobody knows yet how things will be apart from the fact that all the fancy stamps are out :( and the prices will increase.
Comment: Thank you for reading my profile and sending me a postcard from Oklahoma. It is the first scenic postcard I have received of that state. My treatment is going well so far. Thank you for your wishes.
Comment: Adorable little dog - I think we all dream of Hawaii when we're in a deep-freeze! ;oP I may be a hardy Minnesotan, but when it feels like 35 below, it's a bit much (it was even worse up north) - I don't take the cold as easily as I did when I was younger.
Love the panda stamp too. You always send great pc's! :oP
Comment: Aimee, the card you sent me is right up there with some of my all time favourites, it made me laugh :D Thank you for that and also for the multi-coloured flower stamps, those are a new addition to my collection.
Comment: What a happy new year for me to receive Cary Grant! All the cards are really fun, the signs, Nijntje looking at Mondrian(i hadn't seen that one before!), the modern art, the others are great, too! Then the Chagall note card :) Thank you :)
Comment: Aimee ~ I don't know where to start - I'd give you more hearts if I could!! I can't thank you enough for the wonderful PCs you sent for this swap - you really outdid yourself :-) Thank you again so very much. Wishing you a very happy and joyous 2014 filled with love and great swapping ~~
Response: I'm so glad you liked the PCs! I try to pick well! Happy 2014!!!
Comment: Thanks for the great Christmas Card. What a story with a happy ending. Hope you have a great holiday and a Happy 2014. Look forward to swapping with you again soon, Linda
PS -Thanks for the ornament. Did you make it??
Response: I did knit the ornament for you since your profile mentioned that you liked Christmas ornaments! Happy 2014!
Comment: Thank you for the OK capital card. That makes 3 different cards that I have for OK now. And for telling me about when they added the dome. All the cards I have already have the dome. Thanks for swapping with me this year and have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Response: Happy holidays to you, too! The dome was actually very controversial (due to funding), but I think it was all private donations.
Comment: Thank you so much for all the cards that are perfectly tailored to my profile!!! I have wanted that moon phase card for aaaaaages! Gosh, a new DYK Ben Franklin, dragon, MA state capitol (wooohooo two to go now!), happy bunny, cute little chimpanzees, and more. You hit them all. Thank you so much for the great swap!!!
Comment: Always thrilled to open up a swap from you!! (I don't think you've ever sent me a duplicate - but even if you did, you send me awesome postcards so I'd be happy, ha ha!!) Thank you very much for a nice selection! Happy Holidays!!!!
Comment: Hi Walter! Thank you for the portrait of yourself - you're very cute, and Squiggy & I like it very much. :oP : You have such big eyes, do they help you to see better? Get your exercises
every day, and it will help keep you in good shape like me! Play with your roommates, your toys, take walks.
And don't eat too many treats! ;oP Squiggy wants to know if you can swim? It was nice meeting you, and I hope Santa is good to you!
Comment: Thanks for the bizarre card. The fox reminds me of a ferret picture I saw a while back of a ferret godzilla looking over the houses of a small village. Anyway love your card. Thanks have a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Comment: Thank you so much for the cards, I had no cards from Ok. And I love the card with the yarn and coffee...It was just what I was doing this am.
Hope you have a wonderful holiday! not to much snow :)
Comment: Aimee, thank you so much for the wonderful postcards. You must have read my profile because every one of them is a favorite. If I could give you more than one heart I definitely would. Shirley
Comment: Love this photograph. I just ordered Eggleston's collection, it's great. That's so cool you visited Portland; here's a funny fact about me--I've never been to Voodoo Donuts despite hearing how great it is so many times!
Comment: Thanks for this cool Centennial Park card. I've never been to Atlanta, I've been through some teeny tiny towns in GA that were pretty. Have a very Happy Thanksgiving, Aimee, look forward to seeing you in my mailbox again sometime. take care.
Comment: Thanks, Aimee, for the great PC! I used to live in WI and got as far north as Wilmer, MN for a Sonshine concert. We visited Madeline Island a few times while the voyageurs were there. It was fun to see all the trade silver and goods. My son is at Ft. Drum now. Hugs from Alaska, Sherry
Comment: Hi Aimee - Thank you very much for these awesome cards. The UN sculpture one is priceless. Appreciate the re-send, as well. I put something in the mail for you yesterday...cheers. 11/22 - The first envie showed up...?! Thank you for the wonderful first batch. Sending you some cards in return!
Response: I'm glad this arrived and that you like the UN sculpture! Sorry the first set went lost in post office never-never land!
Comment: Aimee: The postcard you sent has to rate in the top 3 of any I've ever received! It's beautiful and brings back so many memories. Thank you for the great card and for being an awesome swap partner.
Response: So glad that it holds meaning for you!!!
Comment: I LOVE THIS CARD!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so glad that you don't like it, I have looked at it many times. I just wish that I could read the words, well, I'm learning Russian now, so, I can sort of read them, but I don't know the meaning! Anyway, loved the card! Thank you!
Comment: Thank you so much for the great selection of postcards that are perfectly catered to my likes and new to my collection, you are such a doll!! I absolutely adore the facts and DYK cards, and even a new map for me! And finally I can mark off the MA state capitol building from my list! New aviation cards, the works! You really made my day today, thank you so much for the happy mail!
Comment: Thank you so much for the beautiful card! I absolutely love it! And you know what? I read a lot of fantasy books too but i haven't read The Hobbit or The Lord of the Rings either! I don't know why though.. But i love the movies :) thank you again x
Response: Funny coincidence! Glad you liked the PC - thanks for the rating and heart!
Comment: You have no idea how much I love this card. It is perfect for me, as I've been an ethical vegetarian for 24 years, and what pushed me over the edge was learning about factory farms. Anyway, I esp love the kissing piggies in the middle. So cute!
Comment: Aimee...Thank you for the beautiful sunset OK card. I drove through OK before and thought it was so beautiful and then I remember the movie Twister and thought I would never want to live there...LOL...Charlene
Comment: FUDGE...... Mackinac FUDGE.....YUMMM I love the card and they stamp and the giraffe....and and and.....thank you so much for making me smile this day!!! My hubby also is from Michigan.... Midland but I have never been to Mackinac Island! It's on my BUCKET LIST...... this spurs me on....... Happy Swapping!!!!
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful Monet Gladioli pc. It's very sad to hear of Detroit's bankrupcy and the possible effect on the Institute of Arts there. Art of all types have been slashed in BC; it seems art is always the first to go in bad fiscal times.
Comment: I love the card from Cornell! How fabulous that you live close by! We live a short drive from Stanford University and sometimes go to events there. They also have some museums that we like to visit, we are going to one next Saturday!
Comment: Thank you for the Oregon map card! I totally know what you mean about being in a funk after coming home from a trip to a beautiful place. It happens to me every time I leave Lake Tahoe. It's like you leave a tiny bit of your heart. I do hope you get back to Portland!
Comment: WOW - what a generous profile based batch of postcards! La Sirena is wonderful, the seahorses hilarious, the flamingo stunning, and I have a house filled with John Waterhouse paintings -- so his mermaid is a favorite of mine. Plus two more cards. You are a perfect swap partner! <3<3<3
Comment: Aimee - Thanks for the Portland large letter PC. I've never been there but had a friend who lived there for a few years and loved it. . .maybe one day you will live there too! Thanks again for the PC and have a great week ~~
Comment: Thanks for the postcard with the cute elephant babies. Love it. I see you like scandinavian mystery writers. Have you read Jo Nesbö (Norwegian) and Camilla Läckberg (Swedish)? Can definitely recommend them. And Arnaldur Indridasson (Icelandic)
Comment: Thank you for the great Oregon PC. I love living here. Sorry for your funk. I know how that goes. I get them occasionally, too. I've only been to Portland a few times and have driven through several times on trips between Washington and Southern Oregon. I imagine there are a great many things to do there. I would love to visit the zoo and rose gardens!
Comment: Aimee, you out did yourself this time! I love all the cards, even the Smith College one (remember the line in White Christmas where Bing says to Danny Kaye, "Go to Smith?! She couldn't even spell it!"? The Clinton Library card was one I have had on my wish-list since it opened--and the VT Capitol card I needed too. If I could give you 5 hearts I would -- thanks again, my friend--they're all great!
Response: Oh, funny! I am glad I was able to send cards on your wish list! Thanks for the rating and ♥!
Comment: Thanks so much for the terrific Alaska postcard. Alaska was never at the top of my TO SEE list but after having been there, I can't believe it isn't on everyone's! What a fantastic place to vacation... we went in the middle of summer so we got to experience those L-O-N-G daylight hours! Can't imagine those dark winters, though.
Response: Glad you liked the PC! I would like to visit AK in the summer! Thanks for the rating and ♥!
Comment: I just love this swap, and read that there will be a round 3! Yeah. I tend to give hearts to anyone who makes an effort, but you really deserve a many hearts, you added extra mustaches on the back. and the postcard was so cute.
Comment: thanks...I went to a wedding in may in st. Augustine, fl. I made the brides and maid of honor's bouquets out of shells for a beach wedding..unfortunately it had to be moved indoors because of a storm
Comment: Aimee can't count! I love all the postcards you sent, vintage and modern. The Wild Style graffiti card is like one I got in NYC this spring. When I sent it out for postcrossing it was favorited a gazillion times - but then I can't count either! I look forward to sending them all.
Response: LOL! :) I'm glad you liked the postcards!
Comment: Love the postcard -- very interesting dress, could see someone wearing it even today. Yes, I like my yoga pants & jeans too but also like dresses/skirts -- especially in summer when they are so much cooler.
Comment: Thank you for the lovely Empire State Building card. I have visited New York, but never got to the top of the building. Ironically, we just watched Sleepless in Seattle last night, and the Empire State Building plays a mjor part in the plot!
Comment: EXCELLENT CHOICE! Love the boat and, bonus, I have a crush on the Midwest so the Michigan card is extra special. I have tons of vintage cards too! Are you looking to switch yours out or exchange for something different? I'd be open to a private swap if I've got anything in my stash you're interested in :)
Comment: YAHOO! Thank you so much for the great cards!I wish I could give you a million hearts!!! I LOVED them all! the BOSTON TERRIER ONE! Oh my gosh I squealed, it was the first BT one I have recieved!!! My fiancee loved the lizard one :) You rock, lady!!
Comment: Hey Aimee, you got both cats & dog in! Very funny card! I'm thinking of getting a small dog... are pugs good apartment dogs?
Response: I would say that most pugs are good apt. dogs - they are small and don't require a ton of physical activity. Most areas are close to pug rescue organizations - we adopted our new pug through one!
Comment: Darzy! I absolutely love this picture of the three young men making music in Washington Square. It will definitely go on display for a while. AND, I am fifty shades of green with jealousy... shopping for PCs in New York city! Sigh.
Comment: Dear Aimee, I visited Niagara falls in 1995, I was nine years old and losing my baby teeth. I remember pulling one out right there and throwing into the falls for good luck :)) Thank you for bringing back the memories.
Comment: Thank you for the great card! :) Wow, three dogs sounds like a lot. Our puppy just turned 6 months 2 weeks ago, and it's a lot of work to have a puppy, a 1 year old, and soon a newborn (and two cats, too, though they don't ''need'' that much attention) haha. I hope you have a great summer! :)
Comment: Hey Aimee! I love this postcard, thank you. I spent the 4th with my family, my sister came from Florida and I hadn't seen her in years. Then we left for Myrtle Beach a few days later and just got home today!
Comment: Aimee!! Did you read the swap description, lol?! It's 5 postcards, not a stack you silly!!! : ) Oh and they are all wonderful -- donkeys, 9/11 (LOVE IT!), museums, farmer's market, giraffes,,,wow!! I really, really appreciate them - that was so generous and thoughtful of you!!!!!!! ♥♥♥♥♥♥
Comment: Love the Uncle Sam postcard that you sent... plus, it even had a Rochester postmark! Small WNY world, isn't it? Hope you were able to dodge all the thunder storms and downpours in your Buffalo travels... it has been one WEIRD & wet summer, that's for sure. (Hope Lily is adjusting to her new family, BTW.)
Comment: Sometimes, I read the messages first and sometime I look at the photos first. This time it was photos first and I got all mushy and happy cause it had the old car. Then I read your message, and we are in agreement. Thank you so much. I dont even like or understand cars, but I love those old cars with old cars. I am in therapy for it to find out if I had some childhood experience that can explain my love for these old car cards.
Comment: Thank you for the book recommendations! I'm from the Chicago area myself, so Shining Girls appeals to me for the same reasons as it did for you. I've added it to my to-read list. Thanks again!
Comment: Aimee - Great PC! I always thought the Model T was black for efficiency sake also but can certainly see why other colors would be more expensive - more processes and they'd have to change the paint as they went through the line. . . so suppose efficiency would also figure into it too. The Model T is what my mom drove when she learned how to drive (she was born in 1921) - I can't imagine what it would be like to drive or ride in one of these! Thanks again for the great PC ~~
Comment: Thanks for the United Nations postcard, Aimee, it's great! It sounds like you have a busy summer planned with work, I hope you enjoy relaxing in the sun afterwards. Hope to swap with you again soon :)
Response: You are welcome! I am having fun but looking forward to relaxing at home soon!
Comment: Aimee - I feel spoiled - your thick packet of cards is a real treat and great fun to see each one. I'll have great fun sharing them with family and friends as well as in swaps and postcrossing. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Comment: Yikes! Finally getting around to cleaning my desk & found a few more cards to be rated. Sorry I'm late.
I LOVE your cards for this swap, the B&W of the two girls dancing in front of a graffitied wall. There's so much energy in this.
I'm actually doing a large collage of B&W cards, 18"x40" for a long narrow space on a wall above a bookcase, and I'm thinking this card will have a place there.
Comment: Oh my gosh! Without knowing it, you have sent me a PC I really, really LOVE!!! :-) Why? Within the historic photo is pictured the Dakota building in NYC, which is where John Lennon lived! I have been there before and am a HUGE Lennon fan! Swoon! Thank you so much! I hope the missing card I sent you turns up soon :-)
Comment: Hello Aimee it is so nice to have you as my swap partner once again. Thankyou very much for all of the wonderful postcards that you sent to me for this swap, ta also for the useful bookmarks and for using such great postage stamps too, Carol :)
Comment: Wow Aimee - thanks so much for all the wonderful PCs. I got so excited about the wolf one, and the yoga cat is great because I have another like it - there must be a series! I'm really grateful for all the cards.
Comment: Thanks for the great PC! I saw a great video on U Tube, where a bunch of elephants dug a water hole, literally beside the road and made it into a mud hole. There was this little baby that was having a wonderful time in the hole, but had a hard time getting out when it was time to go. The other elephants helped the baby out, by pushing, pulling and stablizing, Wonderful!!! Hugs from Alaska, Sherry
Comment: Hi! Thanks for the great "green" cow pc! Love it! That is a really cool pc - I don't think we have stuff like that here - sigh! Did you have a good St. Paddy's Day? I am sad to say I was a tad hungover from the night before, so ours was pretty quiet! LOL! We did have corned beef and cabbage though - yummy! Nothing green though! LOL! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Aimee!!! These are fantastic!!! : ) You always have amazing postcards! The Chinese Zodiac is really pretty! I'll hang that one up for sure. Owls, hearts, the Flatiron... I'm thrilled!!! Thank you so much!!!
Comment: I am so sorry for the late rating on this one I thought I'd done it and in checking back found out I hadn't. My apologies. Well done, I have a fascination for cemetaries. I'll be in DC in Oct. maybe I'll see the Korean War Memorial in person then. Thanks much!
Comment: Thank you for the postcards, the variety of stamps, and the protective cover for the postcards! One of the cards has a strong flowery/candy-ish smell which I'm not sure whether I like. My favourite ones were the waterfall for being a beautiful nature postcard and the rabbit one for having been printed in the traditionally Romansh-speaking area of Graubünden in Switzerland (I think that Puter is the variety spoken in Samedan). Thanks!
Comment: My daughter worked as a waitress at Rogues Harbor. They were great about hiring her back on vacations. I heard that they made some changes to the menu and people thought it was an improvement. Thanks for the fun card.
Comment: Aimee, I love this card and the story! I was living in Wisconsin, when the white buffalo was born there. I have seen them up close and have great pictures! There are buffalo up here in Alaska, too. Hugs from Alaska, Sherry
Comment: Hi Aimee! OMG!! I just LOVE the post card you sent me.....thanks a million! You picked a perfect postcard for me, and I love it and couldn't be happier...thanks so much. Enjoy swapping, and I hope we get to be partners again some time in the future!! I'm so Happy! Happy Swapping, always! I hope I get you as a partner again. Take care, Happy Swapping, and a BIG Thank you!!!!! Hugs to you, Carol :)
Response: You are SOOOO welcome! I'm so happy that you liked the postcard! I had a feeling it would be up your alley. Thanks for the heart!
Comment: I always *love* the postcards you send me. The one with the Matryoshka dolls was obviously my favorite. I don't know whether to keep it in my collection or send it to my girlfriend who loves Matryoshka dolls and postcards as much if not more than I do! A thousand hearts!!!
Comment: Wow! You want beyond what was required. Thank you for the great postcards. I really like the vintage ones, the food and animal ones also. I will be keeping a lot for my personal collection. Also, thank you for the ladybug stickers. Take care.
Comment: Aimee, I just love your card, it is one of my dreams too to have a balloon flight. I used to watch them fly over my house every morning in winter, and sooooo low too!!! Thanks for the resend.
Response: Unfortunately, it looks like this postcard was lost in transit. My other partner rated me for this swap on 1/5. I am saddened that you chose to rate me a "1" before communicating and allowing me to send a replacement postcard. As I was the coordinator for this swap, I certainly wouldn't flake! I also asked in the swap guidelines to communicate with partners if there were any issues. In any case, a replacement card will go out tomorrow, Monday, 2/4.
Comment: Aimee, thank you SO much for the Oklahoma cards and the two extra cards! That was so kind of you :) I haven't had any Oklahoma cards before, so your swaps is extra special to me! Happy swapping!
