Comment: Jamie, we got your package today. Thank you so much. I love the washi tape you sent. And thank you so much for thinking of Gratian. He ate his sucker right away. =) And he really likes the stickers. He ripped into all the packages before I had a chance to see what swap it was from......ooops. LOL. I can always re-wrap and stick them in my stocking. hehe.
Comment: You have such beautiful penmanship. I usually use the printer ☺ The tea sounds yummy, and the cinnamon bread is of the coffee cake variety my husband loves, The Stamped envie is delightful♥ Fingers crossed Mr Ford signs your book. He is a wonderful story teller! Cant wait until tomorrow to see what else you sent me ☺
Comment: I got this a few days ago. Sorry I'm just now rating you! Thanks for the wonderful things you sent! I love it all! The paper packet has beautiful designs in it! And I love your cat drawing--it's fat like my cat, Aicha AKA Phat Cat!
Comment: THANK YOU -- THANK YOU -- THANK YOU I love my baby giraffe. He's just adorable !!!!! I have quite a nice collection of giraffes. The most special one is made of spun glass but it doesn't look as real as this little guy does. He's right at home here in the cabinet with quite a few other giraffes. I would love to put him out somewhere by my computer so I could see him all the time but my kitties have a habit of making off with "things". I do have 2 by my computer but they are made of metal so they're safe. Thank you again. I'd rate you a lot higher if I could. One of my BEST swaps ever.
Response: Thank you for the super nice rating! I'm so glad you liked the little giraffe ... I thought he was adorable! I have the same problem with my cats, too - they're always taking off with something that I've forgotten to properly cat-proof. :)
Comment: Thank you for the awesome cards!!! Love the birds and the glittery one is too cute!!! And thank you so much for the amazing Doctor Who post cards!!! They are a welcome treat and worth so much more than one heart!! They are worth at least 2 hearts!!! ;)
Comment: What a very creative booklet you made for me to display your A to Z swap. It totally made me smile and I enjoyed getting to know more about you. If I could give you more than one heart I would. :) :) :) :) :) How about 5 smiles too?
Comment: Thank you for the pretty postcard and I love the Doctor Who extra card you sent me! :) I too am taking a break of Postcrossing, I might send a couple of cards every now and then, but mostly I concentrate on swapping here, where there is less chance receiving touristy cards haha. Have a nice day!
Comment: Thank you for the interesting map postcard. I love the puffins too. The stamps are awesome. I love them. I have heard that many National Parks (including Acadia) are closed at present. I hope that they are opened soon for the tourists.
Comment: The legend of the Spanish moss is very interesting. I've only rarely seen it personally and must admit that I find it rather creepy. It arrived at just exactly the right time for the eve of Friday the 13th. Thank you!
Comment: You'd be getting multiple hearts if I were able, Jamie -- thanks for the 4 great cards but I have a feeling you know that it's the moose card extra that I'm really excited about. Moose AND a cut-out ---very cool! I thought the 4 elements was a really good idea for a swap too, btw!
thanks again, my friend!
Comment: Thank you so much for the awesome card, it is definitely a spectacular view of Bass Harbor Head Light. I agree, Maine definitely has some of the most amazing views. Of course I've only ever seen them on postcards, but they rank above many others :) I'm glad you had a nice time on your trip.
Comment: Thanks for the great PC and the cute stamps! It is so funny, because I just finished the Buffy series on Netflix myself! I totally agree about Spike and Anya. I think Anya is my absolute fave though. I like the Angel series, it gets better as it goes on. I am rewatching now and am about to start Season 4. :) Sorry for the long rating! Hahaha
Comment: WOW WOW WOW!! Not one, not even just two, but six new map postcards!?!?! You are so awesome to send these to me!! I am always so thankful when people take the time to find something new for me, and I know that is a difficult task. I will treasure these always, thank you!!!
Comment: An inland lighthouse! The first time I saw one on Lake Superior I couldn't see why - it's not like the ocean where I come from - those breaking waves on the postcard show why - great postage stamps too. Thanks ever so much.
Comment: Thank you for the road and the train, that's awesome! And for using the Marathon stamp! We took two trips recently, and on both we drove on roads that were terrifying in spots, once on each trip. I'm glad I wasn't the driver!
Comment: YAY! Thanks for the HOT PC. The message was wonderful to read as well, I would love to go on such an adventure....well except for the actual "HOT" part, cause I prefer cool...but the Hot Springs would be awesome to visit.
Comment: I have never heard of this lighthouse (not that I'm an expert, ha ha!) it's really neat, thank you!!
Yes!!! I love The Who. I last saw them here in February but have seen them more times than I can count on my fingers and toes!! : )
Comment: Thank you for the great card! I think this is Mackinac but I didn't realize the lakes froze enough that could travel their via snowmobile in the winter. Perhaps it's a different island? Either way, great card. I love snow and I love snowmobiles! The stamps are very cool too!
Comment: Trains have always fascinated me - I can remember seeing them when I was young and there were so long and we'd try to count the number of cars! Yes some of these tracks do look a bit crooked - I wonder how the trains got by the blips?! Thanks for the great PC for the industry PC swap - trains certainly have helped with American industry!
Comment: Thanks for the great card. Congratulations on your pending adoption. You can change the world one child at a time. A word to the wise, Look into the behaviors of kids of RAD Reactive Attachment Disorder, and dont give up. There is support out there.
Comment: Thanks for the nice card and info about the name "Muskegon". We jokingly claim that "Muskego" must be the Indian name for mosquito, as we live by a pond and have many bugs during the warm months.
Comment: Jamie - Love the day and nigt PC of Portland. . .a unique PC! Funny that I had a girlfriend that lived in Hawaii years ago (yes I did go visit her while she lived there) and then she moved to Portland!! You definitely should head over to Maui to see her ;-) Thanks again for the great card ~~
Comment: Love the cards! Especially the Toledo one. You would think being from Ohio I would have one. Thanks a bunch.
Response: Oh, good ... I'm glad the Toledo postcard was a new one for you. It's my favorite lighthouse postcard and I love sending it out, but I figured I'd throw in an extra for you just in case you already had it. :) Thanks for the rating and the heart!
Comment: Jamie ~ Corny, yes, but she is a real cutie!! I like seeing little kids looking like they are having fun with happy smiles on their faces ;-) Thanks again for the cute PC and happy swapping ~~
Comment: Wow, you're right. Pretty boring. Haha. I've seen the Wanderlust set on Amazon and the way it's described, you'd think they wouldn't put cards like that in there. Well, nonetheless, I'm happy to have it in my collection. :)
Comment: Jamie ~ Love the PCs you sent - the Bridge and lightning is incredible! One of my girlfriends is from Michigan (Lansing) so I actually knew what a 'yooper' was!! Thanks for the gret PCs and hope to 'see' you again soon ~~
Comment: Great card! I'm happy to see the St. Patrick's Cathedral back on a postcard. I was impressed by this building when I visited NY in 1995. It's one of the few historical buildings in a modern city full of skyscrapers. Great you lived near the cathedral !!
Comment: Thank you for the lovely postcards. The envelope was slit down the side when it arrived so I hope nothing else was in the envelope.
Response: Oh no! There should have been five touristy postcards in there and I think that's it. Hopefully you got them all ... if you didn't please let me know! Thank you for the rating and the heart. :)
Comment: Hi Jamie, thanks for the card showing the Dakota territory. I am from Kansas, but I did live in South Dakota for two years with my ex-husband, who came from Italy (yeah, odd combination of things). We visited the badlands and yes, they were very interesting and hiking around them was fun. I hope you get to visit there someday! All the best, Cynthia
Comment: YAY! Awesome postcard! Thank you! it does sound like we have a lot in common! It is snowy here, but not as snowy as you guys, I do know that! Thank you again and I hope you are staying warm! (Seriously, people shouldn't live like this...)
thanks so much for the terrific fish/map card
with beatle notes & vintage stamps on the
back: you have very good taste! i hope your
map card collection continues to grow along
with maps that accompany great travels to
come ~ have a warm winter & v.fine 2013 :)
Comment: Wow! This is a terrific lightning photograph... no wonder it won an award.
And thanks too for the train card... I am having a bad case of wanderlust at the moment.
Oh, oh.... and I like that little card you used to identify the swap.... that's the second one I've seen lately.
Comment: I always enjoy getting this type of PC because every state is different! I must agree with you that it's 'odd' that the panther is by the porpoise. . .and the alligator!!! Thanks for the great and funny PC ~~
Comment: Jamie thanks for the Wall Street PC! :) I love NYC and go every few months when I need a change of scenery.. I have to admit I love downtown manhattan an go there to eat and shop but have never taken the time to go to Wall Street! Next time I will! :)
Comment: Thanks for the great card and the info about the area! I find shipwrecks morbidly fascinating, there's a bunch off the coast of British Columbia and Washington state, in an area called "the Graveyard of the Pacific."
Comment: Thanks for the frog postcard. I am glad that you sent it to me. Once I "lost" some postcards after I had written them. I found them a few months later under one of the seats in my car. The messages were generic so I just stuck a new address on them and posted them to the next suitable partner.
Comment: A wonderful PC! I love it!! My son lives in Maine so they do have 'moose crossings' but not in the middle of town - how weird would it be to see thse spectacular animals right in the middle of town!! Thanks for the great PC - happy swapping ~~
Comment: I'm going to go ahead and rate now, but if when the 2nd card arrives I'd rate again w/more hearts if I could! You were right, I do have this one but I'll tell you why I'm definately going to keep this one-it's the stamps! Would you believe that 30 years ago when I got married (1982) I used those 20 cent love stamps for my wedding invitations?! thanks much-you're the best!
Comment: Thanks for the beautiful sunset. I do have my Doctor Who PCs on order! I've received a few in the mail already - seems the set is available in the UK! Did you see the Asylum of the Daleks? I think I cried twice!
Comment: Jamie how sweet of you to send me a Key West PostCard that is just so awesome!! I love the Michigan postcards. That is so wonderful! Your little card is adorable too! Such a sweet touch! Hugs, Dawn Gallop stampmom9
Comment: Pretty special day when both Richard Gere & Alec Baldwin jump out of your mailbox! Great envie. Thanks for the selection of cards & for the extra non touristy one which of course I liked the best!
Comment: I love lighthouses, so a map postcard with lighthouses is the best possible fit. I had no idea Michigan had more than any other state--amazing. I didn't notice the terrifying giant raccoon until you pointed him out, but I hope you take care because of it when you're in that area. Maybe he can be lured away with the giant berries. heehee Thanks for a great map postcard!
Comment: LOVE this postcard that you sent of the summer storm over the Mackinac Bridge...awesome view! Just returned from a summer visit to our old home state... gotta love "PURE MICHIGAN"! Thanks so much for the beautiful card (great postage stamp, too).
Comment: This museum looks like the kind I would also enjoy - it reminds me of my many trips to Mount Vernon (I only like 1-1/2 miles from there). I hope you will get there one day as I'm sure you would enjoy it - thanks for sharing ~~
Comment: Pretty card and great photo of Mt. Chocorua-thx! Also, all the bands you named I have on my iTunes/iPod. I saw REO a couple of times and just loved them. My hubby always liked Styx a lot, and a song that I've been listening a lot to lately is Journey's "Separate Ways" (Worlds Apart). -- Just put it on-you know it I'm sure - One day love will find you-break those chains that bind you! Good stuff! Rock on, and thanks again, Carol
Comment: Hello Jamie! The giant fish fountain in downtown Kaikaska (Michigan) is a giant Trout! This is a new one for me! When I see this giant trout - in my head I hear the "Trout" music by Shubert (take-off version of melody used for the Anime - "Ouran Host Club" series - funny - 'fish out of water') Thank you!
Response: A trout, huh? It's definitely a "fish out of water" ... well ... mostly out of water, anyway! :) Thanks for the great comment and rating!
Comment: Jamie -- Another gorgeous PC from you. . .we seemed to meet a lot in the last week!! I love this PC - I've never been to NY but have seen St Patrick's Cathedral on TV but this PC shows how beautiful it is. Thank you so much and happy swapping ~~
Comment: LOVE the Michigan postcards that you sent...Sleeping Bear Dunes was a favorite vacation spot for our family when I was growing up in MI... this past Memorial Day weekend our son & his wife took a long weekend vacation there and had a great time.
Comment: I've never been to Michigan but have a close friend who is from there and lived there for most of her life - she says it is beautiful but cold in the winter - she now lives in NC. I do enjoy getting PCs from Michigan because I still canot wrap my arms around how big the lakes are there!!! Thanks for a great PC of the Copper Harbor Lighthouse - it looks beautiful!!!
Comment: You do seem to be my partner a lot lately but I'm not complaining!! I really like this one of Toledo on the river - I just never think of it being on a river! Isn't it funny how we often think of how something will be when, in reality, it isn't?!? Thanks again ~~
Comment: Hi jamie! Thank you for the great card I love the Empire statebuilding :) I am originally from Orlando and I lived in Tampa for college and a while after! i am jealous you have gotten to see the freedom tower up close !
Comment: Beautiful sunset and although I never made it to Key West, I have been to Miami Beach and have to say that the sunsets there were spectacular. . . and I've seen sunsets in CA and HI but have to say that FL has the most beautiful ones. Thanks for the great PC ~~
Comment: Thanks for the card--looks like a neat place to spend an afternoon! I loved the stamps too, particularly the Apollo 8 one as I was just reading the same day as this card arrived about the 'earthrise' photos and how they are considered the best photos taken of earth even though now we have ones that are digitized and of a higher technical quality. Great swap-thanks for organizing!
Comment: I love the Key West PC, especially since it's Hemingway's Home. I so want to visit. You left out a word in your description that is making me so curious! You were talking about the grounds and all the six-toed....what? Yikes! Please do let me know!
Response: LOL ... sorry about leaving you in suspense! "Cats" is the word I left out. There are lots of them roaming the grounds. :) Glad you liked the card!
Comment: Thank you so much for such a pretty postcard !!! I really loved it and how pretty your handwriting is !!! It made me so happy !!! Thank you again , hope I can be your partner again because I would like to see your writing again !!!
Comment: Hearts a plenty for you, Jamie (if I could give multiple ones, that is!) -- I love the card (I have one, but it's blank so I'll put it out for trade now) and the vintage stamps are just stellar! Plus I adore your handwriting. Great swap-thanks much! Carol
Comment: The postcard is really cool. I bet it is pretty in the summer though like you said. It would look so different and always nice when it is warm out. You are lucky to be able to go to such a pretty place. Lighthouses are so fun. I am glad that you have spoiled doggys too. They are fun though. Keep in touch craftybarbie
Comment: Great card -- and a part of AK I have never visited, although our daughter lives in Juneau. Thanks, and happy swapping!
Oops! I have been to Denali -- just not Ketchikan, and our great coordinator sent me a postcard from the latter. I still like your a lot -- brought back many wonderful memories!
Comment: What a beautiful lighthouse! It always surprises me when I hear of lighthouses on the Great Lakes - I've never been to Michigan and it is hard for me to imagine the size of the lakes. This lighthouse looks absolutely beautiful. Thanks for sharing ~~
Comment: I thank you for the card. It's beautiful. I've been in FL for just over 4 years. I'm in a little town in the panhandle about 45 miles north of Panama City. And it is so hot here already. I hope you are getting a nice spring up there.
Comment: Thanks for the great lighthouse postcard! I'm always fascinated with the idea that lakes need lighthouses ... I'm used to tiny wilderness lakes in the woods. 8-) I'm not sure I'd want to take on this area in my kayak! 8-)
Response: I've spent most of my life on the East Coast nowhere near the Great Lakes, so I feel the same way! Every time we go to Lake Michigan, I'm always amazed that I can't see the shore on the other side of the lake. I'm pretty sure my husband (a native Michigander) thinks I'm a bit daft! :)
Comment: Hello Jamie- Thanks a lot for this poscard with the Twin towers. I went in NY City in 1984, they where there. I found was you wrote so romantic! And then, i give you a heart for all and for the beautifull stamps. Have a nice week.
Comment: Thanks for the SF card, I've never been there but I agree with you, those Victorian houses are beautiful. I do the same thing you do - I go somewhere and stock up on the cards!!! You gotta! haha. Thanks. Lisa
Comment: Great PC! The ceremony (Onisube) is one of 3 fire ceremonies they have in Japan. This one is always on January 7 and supposedly lessens bad luck and prevents fires. Apparently people come to watch the blaze and pray for happiness in the coming yer. Seems a bit over-the-top but sure is interesting. Thanks again for the great PC ~~
Comment: Edinbergh and Cartagena - quite a contrast! The former I've been to but not the latter. Thanks for showing me some of both. My vote for most beautiful castle in the world is in Segovia, Spain.
Comment: I'm soo sorry I never rated you...my son had taken that box because of the Pez...He never touches anything unless he finds something for himself....It must of come sometime when I was in the hospital!! I'm sooo very sorry And I hope you accept my apology..He just showed me the box!!
Response: No problem. I'm glad you received it. I hope your son liked the Pez!
Comment: Great photos! I was pleasantly surprised to see Christ Church Burial Ground in your picks as that is the cemetery I selected. I spent a number of years working there as a tour guide and still go there frequently. Greyfriars is beautiful. I love traveling to other cities to see their cemeteries. Thanks!
Comment: What a BEAUTIFUL fall scene from Japan! Love it! What a small world it is, too, that you were a former resident of Greece... and now you'll have a Spartan alum in your family, too! We can always use fans & alums when the BIG game rolls around (Oct. 15th) ... not to mention the obvious Greece/Spartan connection! LOL! Thanks for the great note & card.
Comment: Such lovely postcards - thank you! I particularly like that the Charity Island lighthouse is depicted in winter. Also, I appreciate the variety of vintage stamps you used - where do you buy them? I've seen others use them and would love to locate a source. Again, thank you for offering to do this private swap with me. I wish you a mailbox full of cards every day!
Response: I'm glad you liked the postcards - they're some of my favorites! I usually buy the vintage stamps from eBay ... you can get them for under face value, which is an added bonus. :) If you're ever interested in swapping again, please let me know. I have a ton of lighthouse postcards I can share! :)
Comment: Thank you so much for the beautiful card. In Florida you do not see the changing of the colors, so that alone makes it special. It is nice to see a church in such a lovely setting, hugs, Karyn
Comment: Jamie, thank you for the cute card and all the postcards! I especially love the Key West view card and the American Girl one as well. Thank You! Your handwriting is SUPER cute by the way—it looks almost English! Very cute! Enjoy your week!☺
Comment: Hello Jamie, beautiful moose pc, thank you very much. I saw my first moose of spring the other week, coming back from Timmins, Ontario, and of course .. we were all pulling our cars over to watch her eat. I wonder what they are thinking as we are watching them? LOL Julie
Comment: Thank you for the Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Postcard! I loved it. At first I didn't really see it's bad points...but once you pointed them out, it became abundantly clear. What a crack up! Thank you. Julie
Comment: Hello Jamie- I have met my match - someone who can write small and fit a whole bunch of information on the back of a postcard! I thought I was the only one. :) Thanks so much for the nice postcard. I really do like buildings of all kinds. I am planning a trip to England either the fall of 2012 or the spring of 2013, so I will definitely get my fill of castles there. Best wishes! Debbie Christian
Comment: Don't worry, all my flying things are from FL too, but that's where I'm from also. :) I LOVE pelicans, so this is a great card! :) Also, you have the prettiest handwriting ever. I keep showing my boyfriend your card going "why can't my hand writing look like hers?" Super jealous. Thanks for swapping.
Comment: Thanks for the moose on the tundra pond PC. He looks so wise & majestic. You're funny, trying to find some similarities between moose & rhinos and only coming up with that they are both used as names of ATV parts. That was better than a rhino PC, thanks for the chuckle. And thank you for joining my swap. I hope to swap with you again sometime. Have a great weekend! ;)
Comment: Thank you for the neat white moose card and the nice note. I took care of my grandson's new puppy when school started in 2009 and still have her. She's my best friend now too. We love to take walks.
Comment: Wow you are a busy girl and you lived in NY. I dreamed of NY my whole life---my daughter took me there before she moved to NY. Isn't brooklyn bridge gorgeous? What the heck are potato tacos? We have Taco bell but we don't have those.
Response: I do love the Brooklyn Bridge ... I used to live right near the base of it, so I saw it often. :-) Taco Bell's potato soft tacos are the best ... they're basically just fried potato pieces, cheese, and some sort of sauce (and lettuce, but I don't like lettuce so I always special order them). I could eat them everyday! Thanks for the nice comment and the heart ... happy swapping!
Comment: Hi! Enjoyed reading your answers! Your furbabies sound sweet and hair can be such a pain! Of course, whatever we have, we are not happy with!! lol - I think I would love curly hair, but... lol - Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: How nice to read of someone who is sleep deprived because of wonderful pets. I love dogs but don't have room for one, or three, so it is cats that hog the couch, bed and play games at midnight. I hope you did not get up to run across to the mailbox or other mundane things, a tired dogslave deserves her rest. Lol.
Best wishes from New Zealand
Response: Oh yes, we have cats that like to play at night (and make all kinds of loud banging noises to freak me out!). They're banned from the bedroom, though ... and for a good reason! :-) Thanks so much for the nice comment and the heart ... Happy swapping!
Comment: Hi! I am jealous of your mini-nap!! lol - Sounds perfect about right now! This springing forward for those of us that do not sleep much to begin with, is not always a good thing! lol - Happy Napping and Swapping! ;)
