Just recd your 2nd card.Oct 5 Double the Christmas in Dec. Thank you for your generosity. bearnbabs
Comment: Received your note today, thank you so much! Hearing from you put a big smile on my face. I feel really flattered that you still have the bat I made - your comments when I initially sent helped me learn to love sewing. :) Hope this Halloween sends you many more.
Comment: Thanks for everything! Especially the 2 low-fat hot chocolates for George and I. (Chocolate Cherry is his fave and Chocolate Brownie is one of my faves)
Response: no worries! Options isn't the cheapest (I buy them on offer) but they are one of the best we have here! If you ever want a swap for more sachets of them, other flavours or a jar of it, let me know!
Comment: I love everything! Thank you thank you. I absolutely adore the mushroom stickers you put on envelopes. Do you happen to have access to them there? If so, I'd love to do a trade again with you. I loved the postcards selection and I absolutely loved loved the hummingbird notecard, where did you get it? I have to get me a bunch, lol.
Response: I think the mushroom stickers were from some alice in wonderland theme stickers I got sent from a wishlist tag by a US based swapper so I can't get more of those. the hummingbird card was from Paperchase, but they don't do that one any more. (they do blank greetings cards, which is what that one was) :)
Comment: I just got the package today and it was amazing! I loved everything(: I even liked the package itself (cute decorations). I'll be sending my reply soon, thanks again for the wonderful package!
Response: so glad everything got there ok, hope you put the chocolate in the fridge 1st before you try to eat it as they seem to melt in transit these days!
Comment: Wow! You sent a great mix of things and totally different from what I sent to you. I'm taking some to work today for snacks and am looking forward to trying them. Thanks!!!
Response: glad you're happy with what I picked, I went over budget as I was aiming to make sure there would be at least one thing you'd enjoy as my tastes are different to yours! looking forward to seeing what you picked out for me!
Comment: Received today!
Sadly, my stupid mailman decided to shove it into our tiiiiny little mailbox instead of leaving a slip like he should have (he also scrunched up an order of custom cards, grrrr), and it got all melty, so no awesome texture. But he's happy with just the taste! Can't wait to try the little packets!
Response: Oh dear... They would have needed to go in the fridge for a bit, that would have helped them go back to normal.. Hope the pudding mix and hot chocolate are still ok for you guys to try.
Comment: Hey, I love your carrier bag suggestion, I think I will have a go at that at some point.
Response: if you get stuck, give me a shout! some people when ironing the plastic bags will layer them up so two are getting done together, or have one and cut a picture from another. was a bit stuck on how to explain a square/ straight C shape cut though for the flap.
Comment: I'm so happy with the box of goodies you sent me, I just can't quit looking at it. Everything is so wonderful and will be put to good use. I love the cupcake fabric & ribbon but really appreciate the time you put into making the darling owl key ring and the pin cushion in a pot. All the cards, letter sets and stickers will make my correspondences so beautiful! Thank you so much for your generosity and friendship.
Comment: Firstly OMG how cute us your stationery!! The best of the 3 pages I got int hsi swap, I think I'm going to have to read this one!! :) Thank you xx
Response: well I thought it worth giving a tiny blurb about the type of book it was...would make the page easy to understand...I'm still reading it now, not long til i'll be finished though! I love paperchase stationery (what I used) thought it made the swaps look nice!
Comment: Hearts, hearts and more hearts! This swap is simply lovely. I haven't read the whole thing yet but I love the way you have put it together, made it so colorful and made interactive pages. As I read my way through it and open all the pockets I will leave you updates :)
Response: yay! glad you liked it and it got there ok, I wanted all the tuck-ins to be usable so it's not only a book, but also has postal supplies, bits you can share with your partner and some fun hand made bits too. I don't think I'd make another one for a while though as I dragged it out long enough! <3 you xx
Comment: Wow! I loved everything that you sent me! The stickers were awesome! The poem was absolutely great to have read! Were those all the cats you ever had! If so that is way more then I have ever had in my life thus far!
Response: some of the cats were pets of people I know, a couple I'd read about, but the rest were mine. (wilf, socks, tiny, furby, Tabitha, keema were mine. I also had Spike but he's not in the main poem) they're no longer with us though.
Comment: I'm so sorry I haven't been able to rate this until now, I've had browser issues that apparently has prevented me from rating multiple partners, so several e-mail swaps have gone unrated =(
Thanks for the mail!
Comment: Thank you so much for my package. Everything is wrapped so pretty! How is a kid suppose to wait until Christmas before unwrapping such goodies when we know there is SWEETS inside. I will be good though and put them in my stocking. Many blessings to you during this holiday season. Hugs, Mona
Comment: Ooooh... Thank you SO MUCH! Gosh, I love Aeros, it's an affliction. :P Thank you for the huge mint bar and the two smaller ones. YUMMY! Love the pretty orange tape, too. :D Thanks for swapping with me! <3
Comment: Hi, thanks for reminding me to rate, sometimes things slip by me! Thanks so much for the altered playing cards! It always takes me forever to sew anything! And the pretty beads arrived all safe and sound thanks to your nice packaging.
Comment: Thank you for this really cool card! I use moo.com to make cards from my photos, it's great to see another use for their postcards like this. I really like your drawing. Thanks for swapping! :-)
Comment: Oooh, I love all of my goodies! :-) The socks are just perfect! (I have a pair on right now, hehe!) The tea is great, and I love the deco tape! The light up duck has been too much fun, ha. I am amazed that I haven't run the battery down yet; I keep smashing it to make it light up and chasing my cat around :-) Thanks so much!
Comment: I just received your letter and the stickers. I am not sure who enjoyed the stickers more, me or my grandson. He grabbed the skull and cross bones stickers before I could even say anything. I enjoyed reading about you. I am always up for private swaps. Just PM me and I would love to join the fun mail group.
Comment: Thank you! I love the stamps and appreciate you telling me about them in your note. I've only read the first six Southern Vampire books, kind of lost interest and then didn't want to be disappointed with the later novels which didn't get very good reviews.
Comment: Thanks Pamela fpr the lovely letter ( I'm not into Kawai but it's the content of the letter that counts (-;) and I like the Map PC too! It'll be in my European collection! Yes! I was worried about those Riots because my son is in London and his Girlfriend close to Manchester too! I'm glad it seems to be over ...for now?
Comment: Thanks so much for everything, I love all the goodies you chose for me! I really adore the socks, they are soooo cute!! thanks for a very fun swap (o:
Response: I'm happy its all there now, I wouldn't leave it too long before you start eating the snacks though, as I think one was dated for end of jun / july. nothing worse than saving swap treats and then finding they're out of date. I ate all my sweets now and want some more! :) so yummy! :)
Comment: Love the tote!!! I got my envie today. I already have the little teapot up on my cork board in my office. The stickers are cute. XO
Response: glad you liked it, I know the sewing on the tote isn't the best, but still 'useable' /quirky! The stickers and postcard were from paperchase (my favourite stationary shop...not the cheapest of places but lots of lovely stuff!)
Comment: Oh Dear, this was an exxxtra special package, Your choice was great with the scarfs - my favourite is the red-blue stripped - and especially with the necklace and the pocket watch! Thank you soooo much, you deserves a thousand heart for this swap!!!! :)
Comment: Love the Blackpool key-ring!!! And the star-stickers and the hama-beads and...:D
Response: ok. :D glad you're happy with what I sent. I found a couple of places selling the bags of Hama beads, but the toy shop near my work is the cheapest but smallest choice. I did see neon, pastels and uv/glow in the dark, and metallics. so if we do this again, I can send one of those next time.
Comment: All the goodies arrived yesterday. I was ohhing and awwhing over all the cute stuff you sent. Especially the key ring the kitten looks just like my Truffles when he was a wittle french fry!! I'll be your swap partner any time!!
Thanks and Have a Great Day! : )
Response: glad you liked what I sent, I usually try for a mix of older left-over items and at least one new item for my de-stash style swaps. kinda balances it out!
Comment: Thank you so very much.
I am going to try my hand at ATC's. Thank you and to another swapper that showed me exactly what I was doing wrong. And what to use for them.
Response: I still don't make great atc's myself, but once I cut a piece of card to size, I could see that really they're more like collaged and painted canvas art in a very tiny scale. Hope you can make something nice from what I sent. I got flaked on mine :(
Comment: I couldn't wait to make my scrapbook page! This series of swaps is awesome and I am so glad you are doing it! I know you have been hassled a little by some but don't worry about them. There are many of us who appreciate you doing this!
Comment: Thank you for the lovely unvbirthday card. It was a fun swap.
Sorry to be so late in rating. I had to buy a new computer. Then I had to wait for the internet provider to connect me. Then my family had to help me with some things. Your swap partner,Linda
Comment: Man! I don't know what to do for the second part of the swap with what you sent. There are SOOO many things that start with the letter A!! Animals/advertisements/antiques/abstract/art/africa.... the list could go on forever. I think you could have done a way better job of this swap. I guess it meets requirements though cuz i got something.
Response: To me, scrapbooking is a combination of art and found images/backgrounds. You could keep the letter a plain or decorate it, the tissue paper being aqua coloured would be for your background. You could use the wire to create a shape related to the letter, and you would have Apple and aeroplane buttons to decorate with. You could also draw things related to the letter on the tissue paper. I've been waiting quite a while for your rating, if you had said something sooner u could have sent more items in a 2nd package. Also if you look at the description for part 2 it says you can add to what you received in part 1, I had written that way back in the beggining so if anybody was disappointed, they can add their own items. What I got sent was a little limiting too, don't know what your package that you sent out was like, so I imagine that all 3 of us are in the same boat. Our pages will be a real test if our skills as artisans as to what we can do. Should relish the challenge, not let it hinder you.
Comment: Thank you so much for the ATCs! Both of them are great! I had not heard of the tribute album, but I looked it up after reading your note :-) I am lucky enough to have a theatre that performs the Rocky Horror Picture Show at least twice a month near my house, so I try to go at least once every other month or so. I always have so much fun there! Also, thank you for the condolences on the loss of my dog. We all miss him very much, but I have lots of pictures and stories of what a great dog he was to make me feel better when I am sad. Anyway, thanks again for the great ATCs and the lovely note! I hope we swap again in the future :-)
Comment: thanks for the great postcard and thanks for joining this swap. you're right, for the amount of comments it caused it clearly wasn't that big a deal. anyhoo, you rock!
Response: thanks! i had a box of coloured fineliners i got from tesco for a fiver so was about time i put them to use!
have found more people like to whinge about swaps on here than actually take part in them! well pooh poo on them! they missed out :) i also sent it from the post office, just to be extra naughty! :)
Comment: I don't really know much about Twilight. Since I dispatch Forks Police, I drove out to Forks a few months ago since it had been years since I had visited. There were a handful of Twilight stores, tour buses as well as signs/food items/etc that were all related to the series. While I think it's weird, because we made fun of Forks in high school, I think it's great for their economy. Forks is mostly a logging town and since logging has gone down somewhat, they needed other ways to bring in money. I live in Port Angeles where there is a Twilight store across from Lincoln Theater since I guess that was in the movie. As far as my job goes, yeah we get some crazy callers. Some are very amusing while others are just bonkers and need an officer to go tell them to quit calling us.
