Comment: Amazing postcard you sent to me Mandi, glows in the dark, with manga girl looking like "Alice," from "Alice In Wonderland." Yes, its fun surprise to see the glow in the dark effect. Hope you are enjoying your spring.
Comment: Thanks for a good assortment of pc's. My favorite is tat great sketch of Prague! The Civil War soldier's artfacts is a very interesting card I am happy to add to my collection! Nice postage stamps on the envelope, too.
Comment: Mandi, thank you for the postcards, especially the lighthouse one with the fishing boats. It is a new one for my collection. Love the older stamps you put on the envelope. All three were special - Harriet Thurman, the Legend of Sleepy Hollow and the Boston Tea Party. Where do you get them? Shirley
Comment: I can understand your confusion about the bright card being a night view. They probably just used a special camera speed to get so much light to show up in the night photo. Thanks for sharing.
Comment: Thank you for your great note card and love the great stamps you sent. I also like Wizard of Oz and will use part of the note card sent as a bookmark. It doesn't matter what you believe in. It's important to you, go for it! I applaud your causes and think it's wonderful what you're doing. We all need a passion. Good for you!
Comment: Oh, this was such a fun postcard! Is it from a set? Thank you very much. The county roads here are all numbered as opposed to named, but most people have their own name, lol! Locals call our road old Ratliff ;-)
Comment: Thanks for the great cards and extras, Mandi! Seeing the half penny stamp reminded me of an Christmas old song that mentions that if you haven't got a ha'penny than God Bless You! I'm sure it was an English Carol (as am I! 44% of my DNA is from England or so says Ancestry.com).
Comment: Hi Mandi! Thank you for your goodies as well as the notecard on what you were up to! Loved the little kitty card! Isn’t time going fast? At the end of April we will have lived 1/3 of the year and have only 2/3 left! Wow! It is flying by! Thank you for the recipes! I see you are a cancer so you will have a great birthday with all you have going on. Thank you for all again the little things you sent me to make it special! The stickers are kool too!
Comment: Very cool recipe and yes I will use it. I keep trying to do chocolate and always cross my fingers. Higher altitudes, for some reason, do something to the chemistry. This one looks great. Thanks. Hope things are going better for you today on April Fools Day
Comment: Thank you so much for your lovely items for this swap. And about the James Dean envelope: I know someone who will appreciate it very much........
By the way: it arrived last Wednesday, but was too busy and tired to answer earlier.
Have a nice Easter Sunday.
Comment: Thank you for the adorable fawn postcard with lots of stamps! : ) When I lived in Phoenix they made snow for the kids at some events, always neat to see! I see a good amount of deer where I live but all the trees are being torn down to build. So sad. Hope you have a great night and thank you again for a nice swap!
Comment: Thank you so much for the extra packet you sent! You made both my husband and I happy with that happy mail. He said," Oh nice, a packet for me!" when he saw the Applewood seasoning pack and I can't wait to try the Garlic and Herb one! I also love all the vintage stamps you used on the envelope. I started buying stamps off etsy and using them for my letter swaps. It is so much fun!
Comment: Your pretty card made me happy, it is so pretty and fun. Your 16 month old's art work on the envelope gave me the biggest smile. The small card is "so sweet". I really enjoyed this swap, happy spring, happy swapping
Comment: Thank you for your lovely card! I was so excited to see you were my partner for this swap â¤Hope you and your family are fine. My son often asks about yours. Good luck with organizing his party, I'm doing the same for our boy's 6th birthday in April 😊
Comment: Hi Mandy, haha...this made my day ...I can relate, esp. being a stay home mom with my boy/girl twins...they are 13 now sigh. Hang in there little mama...and dont worry about those darn walls :) peace love light and 100 hearts
Comment: Yeah I tell ya that Death Star is like the best topper for the tree haha! now our tree looks like a Star Wars battleground haha! Have Darth Vader, x-wings and tie fighters...this year we added a millennium Falcon to it.
Comment: Hi Mandi! I love using the free/ad pcs and am so happy when a swap is posted! I love how you used all of your washi tape and it looks so cute! See ya at the mailbox! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Thank you for sharing your holiday with me. I've never "met" anyone that celebrated anything other than Christmas or Chanukah. Very cool to learn about something new! I love the cat stickers. Thank you for wrapping them. That was super fun. Can't wait to use them.
P.S. You & my daughter have the same birthday!
Comment: Ho ho ho hello,
Thank you for the pretty cardinal card. I noticed the stamp was a .29 cents train stamp and it came them without requesting more postage. What a deal!
Cardinals seem like the perfect Christmas colored bird don't they:-)
Response: There was also a .20 Nativity stamp to make up .49 cents. I get Bunches of older stamps off eBay. I must not have licked it enough (ew!). My hypothesis is that it fell off after being sorted. Probably why the post office switched to sticky stamps. Happy holidays.
Comment: Mandi, thank you for a lovely swap! Everything was so perfect! I love the sunflower paper and envelope; it's my current favorite flower! The sticker sheet was a style I've never seen before and I'm eager to use it for my projects. The piano bookmark is beautiful, and it will be hard to part with the butterfly notecard... You put together a great swap and I thank you!
Comment: I like the Alice postcard very much--I like noting how differently various illustrators depict the same scene. I have and have received several depictions of Alice. I love you story about your daughter's middle name and her similarities to Alice. Those are cards that mean more to me as I peruse a binder of received postcards. Hope you week is off to a good start.
Comment: I love it all! Now I have enough things to start a spell book! I'm hanging up the handmade god's eye & raincatcher right now! This is such a cute smudgestick & it will fit in one of my travel altar boxes along with the stones & I didn't have any Lapis & now I do :) The incense & rosemary smell wonderful! I love the charms, especially the little lion-so cute! I will add the leaves & feathers to my nature basket from around the states :D The ECLIPSE WATER IS SO COOL!!! Thank you!! <3
Comment: Thank you Mandi for the gorgeous "Butterfly Jungle," PC from San Diego Zoo Safari Park. I love butterflies too. Amazing your son raised a Sphinx Moth, they are huge! Fun swap. Your postcard I am putting up on display in my apt. Happy October!
Comment: Hi Mandy! Thanks for the awesome pc and I agree, can we have one holiday at a time?? Geez! I can kind of get it that hobby shops have to have stuff out early for crafters but department stores, give it a rest! LOL! Hope you are still able to enjoy your favorite time of the year! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Thank you so much for the cool PC! The caption "Paradise" on the Yun-Gui Plateau shows just how spoiled we some of us here are. I know people that consider themselves as poorer than dirt that would not go to this place. Thank you.
Comment: Wow! I love, love, love all these candies! And the cookies! The marshmallows were a neat treat yesterday and I'm absolutely in love with the maple candy. I wish I could give you so many more hearts.
Comment: I would really love to be musical too, sadly my singing sounds like something you can use as a torture device. If you're a stay at home wife maybe you can get a second hand guitar and learn to play? YouTube has some cool tutorials!
Comment: Thank you very much for the tea and nice card.
So sweet that you read my profile about the tea's. Sure i will give it a try the spicy tea. I like it to tast other tea's
Greetings from the Netherlands
Comment: Thanks for the pc with a wonderful view of Calgary, Mandi! Loved what you wrote on the back re. my son and granddaughter. He missed her 2nd birthday last month too, but he gets home from an assignment Friday (day after tomorrow!) so we're really excited. take care, Carol in Denver
Comment: Oh, what a laugh I had at your card! The hubs and I decided no kids, so I can't fully commiserate with you. We do have a 6yo niece that we have quite frequently, and apart from growing taller, it seems like the only thing growing is her 'tude! She's still the apple of my eye, though. :D Enjoy your free hours!
Comment: What a Wonderful List of Folks.. and Your note you included too about how JC influenced Your Life... Great Quote on the Front side of the Post Card.. ! ! ! Love the Stamps you used too. Thank You... Hugs from OHIO.
Comment: I love the birthday spell and plan to share it with my younger Son's partner. I made and am sending her a quilt so this is going to be an addition. She says her birthday is her favorite holiday. Thank you for making life so rich. I appreciate all you do.
Comment: I was thrilled to see your name on the envelope and even more thrilled that you shared the meditation, which I put in my ocean bag for the next time we go. I put the SS in the bag for December. Thank you. You are really wonderful.
Comment: What a beautiful PC of Pacific Beach -- I lived in southern California for 17 years and I loved all the small beach towns - always such fun to just stop and wander around. Thanks for the great PC for this swap ~~
Comment: Wow! you did an incredible job on this!! its obvious that there was a LOT of time put into this bookmark! I have a special altered book journal I am making about mermaids and I plan to put this special book mark inside of that journal! thanks!
Comment: Hello Mandi! Thank you so much for your beautiful quote postcard! I love your facts and, for the record, I still cannot do a French braid either and I've wanted to do that since I was young! Heh!
Comment: Love this PC! Yes little league is certainly a good thing for boys (and now girls). My older brother played when he was a kid over 60 years ago, and my son played 40+ years ago. My ex was a coach for several years when our son played and it wasn't the kids that were insane but the parents -- what a bunch of nuts!! I was always the 'team mom' and learned how some parents really believe their little 'johnny' was a star when, in fact, he was not - at the time girls didn't play so there were always so many fathers there who were filled with testosterone and long-lost dreams of becoming a big league baseball player that they projected on their sons --- it was unreal at times!!! Thanks for the great PC and for bringing back some good (and bad) memories of my little league experiences ~~
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful postcard of New York. I really love it. The twin towers were so iconic. I enjoyed reading your observations on how 9/11 changed your country, even though it was a terrible event.
Comment: Thank you for the shiny, colorfully-decorated envelope -- I especially liked the bold hibiscus stamped on the back! -- adorable treble clef sticky notes, and for sharing your wonderful summer plans with me! Your family is so lucky to get to travel and experience new places together :) Happy Hogwarts-ing! (I am looking forward to revisiting in July and finally getting some Ravenclaw swag that I don't think was available the first time I went ^_^)
Comment: Thank you soo much for the lovely fox card! Also happy 5th birthday to your son. I can not wait till we can have a full day out for birthdays. We have been enjoying the park alot though and love seeing my little make friends haha to be 2 again and no cares :) Hugs and hope you enjoyed the movie! I love Johnny Depp
Comment: Thank you for the titles for books. I already have read the Memoirs of a geisha, Pride and POrejudice and The color purple. All in English. I read about 40 % in english. Thank you also for the nice postcard you chose.
Comment: Hello Mandi,
Thank you so much for the goodie envelope I received filled with a variety of reading and writing supplies. I loved them all. The postcards and notecards were wonderful. The bookmarks will be used as I continue reading over the summer. I will enjoy the tea either while I write notes or while I read. Thanks for taking care of me.
Comment: I have never done 4th of July at Disneyland, but I've done NYE there and if it's similar at all, then I'm sure it's phenomenal! We used to go to Mission Bay in San Diego for the 4th back when I lived in California. Hope you have a good time, whatever your plans may be! :)
Comment: I don't celebrate Christmas, but loved the idea of this swap anyway...so I opened your gift. Thank you so much! :) I absolutely adore the moon, and love the homeless tarot cards you sent as well.
Comment: Thanks for the card and newsy note (as my grandma would say). I appreciated your debrief on Easter brunch - I agree. Dinner is the way to go. It's so hard when our littles are sick. Hang in there mom, you got this :-)
Comment: I was going to rate down for this swap (your envelope is postmarked the 24th) but something tells me that it got lost as your return address is circled..not even sure why. I love the vintage card & egg holders a lot!
Response: I only mark things as sent when they are out of my hands and on their way to the recipient, so I checked the swap page for the date that I put it in the mail and it says April 12th! I'm completely bafffled why the postmark is a whole 12 days late! I would think that if my address was circled it would have come back to me and not gone on to you. I'm stumped, but thank you for not rating down as I really did send it with what I thought was plenty of time. I'm glad you liked it. If you ever find out what its detour was, I'd love to know.
Comment: Thank you for the great post card. I may get down to the butterfly jungle. I have been to similar in Iowa and recently was at one in Tucson. Looks like we are close to neighbors. Well, guess not that close but Mickey Mouse is my neighbor.
Comment: I love this Tolkien quotation---the more one thinks about it, the deeper the meaning grows. I'm not interested in fantasy fiction at all and have not read Tolkien, but both of my kids "devoured" Tolkien, reading him again and again. My son has always been especially fond of Tolkien. Thanks for very meaningful quotation of literary wisdom!
Comment: Dear Mandi, thank you very much for your card and the Tea! I'm going to try it later today. I totally agree with you mentioning the accessibility of the world through Swap-Bot! I think it also helps to be kinder to and have some more respect for people in the world. Again thank you very much! Angelique (Eudaimonia)
Comment: Thanks for the Laugh out Loud PC. I hope you and I are not bound for a firey everafter, because it sure made me laugh. I also love that you put the stamp over to the side so I could see that the PC was so vintage that it used to cost a penny to mail. I am loving this swap and loved your bunny ears selection.
Comment: Thanks for the clever B is for Buffalo card and the hand-drawn pan of brownies with one of them mysteriously missing! I enjoyed the funny buffalo and the brownies--not sure which of us ate that one missing brownie! Thanks for putting so much of yourself into a "store bought" postcard. Hope you are having plenty of spring and not the avalanches and mudslides in California. At least it should help with the drought all through your state. Have a good time swapping!
Comment: Thank you Mandi for the vintage PC view of Disneyland, CA, brought back memories. My sister & I went to Disneyland, Calif. back in 1979, great trip to see Calif. Wow, and you are a pass holder for the theme park. My sister & family are pass holders at WDW. Even though we all moved to Central FL in '2010 - '2011, I'm still amazed to be living near WDW & other theme parks. Happy March to you!
Comment: Hello Mandi,
Thank you for the beautiful tulip postcard you sent me for this swap. The best parts of this postcard were the quote you sent on the postcard. It was a quote I needed to read at this time in my life. So, thank you. The other best part was the actual postcard as I really like the flower you chose to send. So, thank you. I hope we get to swap again.
Comment: What a perfect card for this swap! I love Dr. Seuss--at least most of his books. I love The Cat in the Hat, but hate the movie version. My "grandson"--see my profile--loved Go Dog, Go." I am not sure that's Seuss, but think it is. Anyway he memorized it when he was barely 3 yr old. I think that's because I made our reading of it interactive by stopping and pointing at the color we needed & he'd say the color or animal or the tree, etc. When he was a young 2 yr old, after nap he was frantic to have what I thought was "Taco." I finally asked him to show me what he wanted, He started for the stairs and it clicked in my mind! He wanted "Go Dog, Go" DOG go--sounds like "tago" or Taco, right? This card may have to go on the cork board in my art/craft room. Thanks very much for a perfect card for me!
Comment: Belated thank you for the charming Small Fry card and for recommending "Remember Dreams Come True" -- I will have to YouTube it! The Main Street Electrical Parade was one of my fondest childhood memories of visiting Disneyland, from the music to the colors. I hope to see it the next time I visit ♥
Comment: Hi Mandi! I have this same PC set and love it, so now I can finally send this one out and still have one for myself. :) I agree, steering clear of shady characters is excellent advice for every age! lol
Comment: Thank you! And thanks for the head's up about the licorice root - I look forward to trying that tea. I have an orange tea (can't remember its name) that has licorice root in it too and I can't taste it there, so I know it can be done! :-)
Comment: Thanks for the great Monsters Inc. postcard. I actually have watched the electrical parade many times at Walt Disney World before they moved it back to California. One of my favs that will be missed for sure. Thank you also for joining my swap. I will be running more in the future.
Comment: Thank you so much for the ultra-wonderful PC! It could not have been more perfect for the current "times." I'll be blogging about it later this week. Thanks, too, for joining in! I hope to see you in the wisdom swaps again!
Comment: What a fun envelope and note! Thanks so very much, I forgot how much I loved frogs, we actually had a "frog band" theme at my wedding 10 years ago. Love the sticker sheets and the quote cards, they were perfect! Thanks again!
Comment: Hi Mandi! TY for the lovely vintage pc! I am sorry you had such a hectic day - when you have small children, the days seem long but the years go fast! Hope you find lots to make you smile over the holidays and that you can get some rest! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: I am so very glad you were the partner who sent this month's spell. I just re-did my entire yard to drought friendly plants and hardscape. I put in several trays of Wolly Thyme and it is flourishing beyond my expectations. It was not an easy plant to find, so I went to the big city an hour away to get three trays of it. I am honestly delighted with this spell. It is absolutely perfect for me in a number of ways. Thanks
Comment: Hi Mandi 😊 Sorry to hear about your 2 kiddos being fretful. I have a 3 year old granddaughter that keeps me on my toes! Bless you! I hope your day got better and your babies are well!
I loved the teas you sent and the extras!!' I LOVED the clips!!! Did you make them?!?!
Thank you for the happy Mail â¤ï¸â¤ï¸
Comment: Thank you for the gorgeous PC. I lived in southern CA for 17 years and we didn't really get a 'fall' but the mountain areas around us did -- it was one of the things I did miss when I lied there as southern CA doesn't have the more diverse weather as northern CA. Living in VA now I do get 4 very distinct seasons but must say I do, from time to time, miss the longer warm and drier days of southern CA. Thanks for the beautiful PC and hope to see you in future swaps ~~
Comment: I usually save the stocking stuffers for the holiday. HOWEVER, your little envelope with Fox on it PLUS Cardinal on the sticker AND Rabbit for the stamp just blew me away. This is by far the sweetest packaging I have seen. So, I opened it and found a quilting tool book mark. Mandi, you are one of those angels on Earth. I swear you did more for me in this little package and I really needed it today. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Comment: What a cool postcard! Thank you so much, Mandi, I love it! (Though I can't say that I've ever seen the moon look like this here in Arizona. I saw the moon look like this in Oklahoma once, though!) :-) Thank you again for sharing this with me! And the quote you shared is wonderful!!!
Comment: Great photo, Mandi. Thanks for the card. When I did my Master Gardener training I worked on a big butterfly garden & I've always grown butterfly attracting plants at home. For a while I kept caterpillars in an aquarium so I could photograph the whole process and get some good shots of the buterflies when they 1st emerged. But I never got a head-on shot of the eyes like you did with that Julia. Wow!
Comment: Thanks for the great PC. . . such a great quotation. I was, however, a bit saddened that you don't like Tinkerbell although I certainly understand based on what you told me. She was always just a 'side note' for me -- my love was Peter Pan but must say she was quite annoying at times! Thanks again for the great PC ~
Comment: Mandi - so sorry for the delay in rating - you were buried in a pile of papers. I LOVE the Tolkien quote postcard 💕 Thank you so much!
We went to our Ren Faire last weekend - so much fun 😊
Comment: OMG! Awesome picks! I love it all! But I think my favorite is the PC with the C.S. Lewis quote (I have a screen shot of the quote from a book I read a couple of months ago) and the Sun and Star embellishments! Thank you so much!
Comment: Thank you for the great card! I love all of the cards I get from postcrossing. I like the unique "what the heck" cards and I love unique cards. I really love picking out and sending cards the most! I can't wait to swap again. This was my first swap. Thanks for making it great!
Comment: Thank you for the very nice Radiator Springs card! I agree, it's especially nice to look at in the evening. It's a funny thing: I enjoy Radiator Springs a lot, but I think the "Cars" movies are awful! :)
Comment: As much as I love summer, I'm over it for this year and ready for the cooler days of fall, too. We must be getting all of your rain. There's been so much of it and all it does is jack up the humidity and make everything moldy. Thanks for a good swap!
Comment: Belated thank you for the vintage repro Cadillac card (it reminds me of Mad Men :) and for sharing recollections of your family's "Kitty," Mandi! I was reminded of my late godmother's Lincoln, which I associate with my childhood; my godmother and her husband, like surrogate aunt and uncle to me and my siblings, would take us to pick out a present at Toys R Us on our birthdays and for Christmas, and I fondly remember her sitting in the front passenger seat, smiling back and talking with us, as the Everly Brothers and other classic rock/country would play :) It wasn't exactly the same when they got a van later, although we would bicker over who controlled the "captain chair" behind the driver's seat! Hope you are having a good weekend!
Comment: Thank you for the near friendship bracelet, my daughter was given one the other day, and she asked if I had any embroidery thread, my daughter is in her 40s and a little girl gave her one. So cute. Lol thanks for the extras, fun swap
Comment: Love the notecard, the knock-knock note and the papers.. I had to laugh at how much we all "think" alike - when we my husband was going to get paint, I asked him to bring back some paint chip samples for crafting/sending ;-) I hope the truck repairs went well and you had a better week! Take care, Annette
Comment: Hi Mandi and thank you for the California postcard you sent to me for the swap. Sun glasses in the golden sands, reminds me of a trip to Calif. my sister and I made way back in 1979. It was fun as we went to DisneyLand. Now, I live near WDW. Fun swap. Hope you enjoy your August. Its hot days, very humid with thunderstorms here in FL.
Comment: Thank you for a thoughtful and wonderfully packaged swap. Both of my grandchildren had a fun time opening all the presents you sent. Extra thanks for the blow pops the bookmarks the stick on earrings and the Frozen stuff. The kids had a blast. Many thanks and even more hearts.
Comment: Thank you, thank you, thank you, Mandi! I nearly squeed when I opened your envelope this afternoon -- I loved and appreciate everything you sent! Those are three of my favorite quotes, and I really needed to re-read them today. The vintage postage is amazing -- I always love seeing people's handwriting/messages/postage and images whatever the decade. The Columbia Records and Pocahontas cards are two designs that I loved but had sent in swaps awhile ago, and I look forward to using the red telephone box and kawaii bunny bookmarks! Thank you for such a thoughtful, delightful envelope of happy mail <3 Happy weekend!
Comment: Oh wow, Mandi- I really loved this package... You made it so profile specific that I couldn't have chosen stuff better suited for me, myself LOL. I LOVE all the pug jokes and the comic strip (way cute!) as well as the little bunny and package of hot cocoa. Thanks again, Tracy
Comment: I just received your book recommendations and book mark. What wonderfully thought out responses, and you've definitely changed my mind about reading Jane Austen. Thank you for the lovely book mark as well.
Comment: Thank you for the wonderful postcards I don't know if u you know you sent me two of them. No worries on the delay it happens. I've done it a few times. Two many statues and the skillet. Lol thanks again
Comment: I really wish there were more black baby clothes, I get so tired of dressing my son in blues and bright colors. The one time I stuck him in a black and white polka dot outfit everyone thought he was a girl!
Comment: I am so with you on your "gross/annoying" list. XD I grew up in Texas, and my family used the word "lollygagging" all the time. Probably when I was doing something wrong. So bad memories all the way around, haha!
Comment: Thank you for the pc and the California vibes! I love the Keen quote as well, oh so true. Noticed the stamp on the front (unless that's a coincidence) and also wanted to commend your photography skills... great shot with the sunset on the lens :)
