Comment: YES! I love zebras as well. Their stripes/patterns are so unique as is their "braying!" Haha! Yeah, us humans are not half as interesting looking as some of the other animals out there. :) Happy Swapping!
Comment: Thank you Marie for the Deco Book you sent to me for the swap. Its interesting challenge to decorate a page as its "Monochromatic." I enjoy these challenges & decorating page in the Deco Books. Happy Spring!
Comment: Thanks for the great letter. I'm glad you didn't accost the woman at JoAnn's. hahaha! No, I have never done the letter challenge & I certainly don't mind you using my swap to further your progress. I'm glad you joined in & it was great swapping with you :)
Comment: Hello again! I did hear that your area got another blizzard - I had one over to send me a jar of snow (I declined) then mother nature sent us a storm! We got 36 hours of snow, rain, slush, freezing rain, & more snow! Oh, and wind. :/ hope you were able to dig out ok. Guess iI you have accepted the jar of snow - maybe we could have avoided all that! Ha!
Comment: It still amazes me that it is snowing in parts of America. It is 8:45 pm and 74 degrees here in Florida - Crazy! No, I don't garden at all. I've never been much for that kind of thing, but I hope you get a chance to do it soon.
Comment: Thanks for your newsy letter! I wish you luck with the Write On party - sounds awesome, and wish I could go! I hope you don't feel like ordering the pack was a waste. Their stuff is so cute I considered ordering some myself. I held back, and have since bought cards and stationery at Michaels, which is sort of unlike me, but I'm a sucker for a sale and cute motifs! It is not spring here yet - we had some snow melting weather and then more snow last Friday. I am considering gardening for the first time, but my upcoming travel schedule may make it difficult. Good luck with your zucchini decision!!!
Comment: What a beautiful card! Thank you and thanks also for the very nice stickers! This year our church is doing Holy Week and Easter with the church next door; we have a good relationship with each other. Unfortunately, our family will miss Holy Week as we will be at our son's house in Indiana for a late birthday party. Our daughter from CA will be with us, so at least the family will be together. We hope to make it back home to go to our church on Easter Sunday. We usually have an easy Sunday dinner - haven't really planned it yet, though! The Easter season is so solemn leading up to Easter Sunday, but so joyous on Easter Sunday! We went to Israel to see the sights. Yes, the tomb is empty!
Comment: Thank you so much! The envie looks like it had a fight with the post office, haha. But thank you so much for the rubber stamps ! I'm a noob stamper but now I have a reason to get more supplies. xoox
Comment: I think that is a very good motto for the year. YOU are the only one you can make change and you are the only one that you can make do things. Sure it's nice when others help, but you can never make them. Thanks for the stickers.
Comment: Thank you so much for the darling doggie card! Kids bring so much joy into Christmas, how could anyone say they just bring stress. We got to meet our youngest great-grand yesterday. He's 6 months old so he had to have help opening his gift from me. He immediately dumped the toy and proceeded to eat the packaging. LOL!
Happy New Year!
Comment: Hi there Marie! I got your resend and thank you so very much! I love the Glittery Reindeer card so much! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas! I sure did! But also, exhausting too. At least, i was surrounded by 4 of 5 of my loving children and my grands! Thank you also, for the holiday note paper and most of all, for having my swap! Happy New year Marie!
Comment: Thank you for the resend. :) Cute! You and I both learned to sew early in life. I too have sewn lots of clothes including my wedding dress and prom dress, costumes for my kids and now Grandaughters, quilts and everything inbetween! Have a happy new year!
Comment: Dear Marie,
Thank you very much for your lovely Christmas card! I hope you will have a beautiful Christmas time with all your beloved ones! :-)
Sending you my best wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Comment: I love hearing about Christmas traditions from other places. Our yearly event here is one of our parks lights all of the trees up and you drive through it. I haven't done it in a while since my kids have grown. This might be the year to do it again.
Comment: Holiday greetings from Illinois,
Thank you for the neat card and for taking the time to write something in the card. Yes I participate in a living nativity, La Pasoda, every year. This year I am to be one of the inn keepers.
Merry Christmas & Happy Swapping too!🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲
Comment: We went to Bentleyvill last year - rode on the train from Fitgers to there. Wonderful lights, but so very crowded. If we go this year we will be going on a weeknight to see if the crowds are a bit less.
Comment: Thanks for the card! We have a couple of traditions...every year my husband and I exchange ornaments, and then we buy a new ornament for our kids every year. Then when they move out of the house, they will each have a set of their very own ornaments from their childhood.
Comment: That is a great challenge! Mine is very much the same. I've spent a year and a half getting down to where I am now and I just want to hold there during the holidays then in the New Year I am challenging myself to quit playing around and reach the goal. Thank you so much for sharing!
Comment: Dear Marie,
Thank you for your card! I am so happy to hear that you have completed education while other people where doubting if you were able to do that. Congratulations! Thank you for the extra goodies as well :-)Happy Thanksgiving and have a nice day!
Comment: Thank you for the Wonderful Mystery Box. I had so much fun looking through it. I have a friend who is 85 years old and I've always shared my swaps with her. So I took the box to her house and let her open it and unpack it. She had so much fun. Can't wait to start using the things you sent. You sent an excellent selection. Thanks again.
Comment: I loved this package of vintage goodies you sent. I definitely can use all the lace and I love those little wooded spools of thread. I can never find them around here. I can't wait to decide what to make with them!
Comment: I actually have a few of those vintage style postcards where the message is on one side and the mailing info goes on the other side. I have not used them yet though. It is hard to know who on swap-bot would appreciate a card like that. Thanks
Comment: Thank you for the card. We have an Apple festival here late in Sept but I have not been in years. I need to start getting out more and maybe going to some of the things going on. Specially some of the new activities that my town has been doing.
Comment: Thanks R.E.O. for the wonderful letter. I read it to my kitty Buffit. He thought you sounded like fun (even if you're a dog) (( Sorry )) Can't wait to try the tea because I love anything ginger. Thanks again.
Comment: Thanks for the trolley postcard! Being in a rural area as I am the only way to get around here is in your own vehicle. And it's not uncommon to see big tractors on the road either (although I don't like being stuck behind them especially if I'm already late for work lol).
Comment: omg i love blue birds! thank you so much, beautiful card! here in deep south texas we're still sweltering in the 90's....ugh. but, i can't even comprehend being buried in snow. happy swapping!
Comment: Loved it, and loved hearing that PLs don't Have to be completely over-the-top, although I tend to be because that's all I'd ever seen. Thank you for that! And I'm giving you the Heart because you didn't nail down the stickers, lol!
Comment: Thank you for the super cute hot dog notecard and colorful washi! Enjoy your vacation, great places you are visiting! I used to take summer trips to Wisconsin Dells growing up with my family, funI :D
Comment: Wow!! What an awesome package!! Thank you so much for the honey stamps. That is one of my favorite verses and I love anything to do with bees. Also, I really needed those great tabs you sent. I was just fixing to order some. Thank you for everything, I will use it all. ðŸ¯ðŸðŸðŸ
Comment: Your weekend getaway sounded exciting. I love flea markets. The Glockenspiel sounds and looks interesting. I never seen or heard of a clock like that. I had a good laugh about prom night. =) Millennials lol.
Comment: what a wonderful box of goodies! So many fun and unique things, it was very fun going thru it all and checking everything out. I am really having fun with the purple and orange bingo inks, l am
experimenting different ways to use them. thank you so much!!ðŸžðŸžðŸžðŸžðŸž
Comment: Dearest Marie,
I am so happy that I finally got your postcard! I'm such a happy bumblebee ^^ Hihi!
Thank you for sending me an anime illustration! I honestly do not know from what anime character she is from, and I am not honestly familiar with her.
Oh and, you sure are blessed that someone gave a pack of anime postcards to you ^^ I also would like something like that to happen to me. Hi Hi
Cheers and God bless always!
Comment: Thanks for the card Marie. I always wish animals could tell us what foods they really like!! I'd like to give them treats, but dogs are generally so excited about any food that it's hard to work out their favourite.
Comment: I think minimalism is fascinating. Some days I feel like it would really incredible to live that way, and others I can't help but feel attached to very minuscule things.. Definitely worth a try! Good luck to you and congrats on that progress!
Comment: Hello Marie,
Thank you For the very nice Easter card you sent me for this swap. I also want to thank you for the stickers you sent along with the card. The card is very cute and I appreciate the note. My father liked black jelly beans too. Have a great Easter.
Comment: Hi :) Your letter made me crave chocolate! :) We did get a rotten storm, it snowed about 16 hours straight. We haven't fully dug out yet, but the sun has been melting some. I grew up in SW Michigan, and boy oh boy do I remember Lake Effect storms! Ah, what fun. haha
Comment: I usually host an annual small get-together for the holiday.. Though this year things have been too hectic. I'll probably celebrate by wearing a lot of green and maybe having a green beer! haha
Comment: Thank you for the green note card. I wouldn't document any illegal activity either. we haven't had a winter at all. It's warming up quickly here. Although this weekend is supposed to be in the 50's.
Comment: Happy Friday! :) I am behind on making videos too... I was thinking of working towards a new theme for my channel - plant-based living or something in that area. I did some mail hauls and those are fun! It's hard to showcase mail without getting close to the camera as well.
Comment: I don't know what it is with moose - but I've been to all sorts of areas where they supposedly frequent and have never seen one, either. People post videos of them walking into Tim Hortons in Canada and I can't even see one out in the wilderness where they live. Humph! Thank you for the card!
Comment: Thanks for the great blue stuff. I think you read my profile and knew teal was my favorite color and sent me all those marvelous teal markers and pens-glittery stuff -its all good-thanks for sharing and being a great swap partner!
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful view of St.-Martin-in-the-Fields -- I would love to see it in person one day and hear the choir! Glad you also love Sherlock! I can't believe this series/season is over already; it always amazes me how fast time has flown between installments. I agree, I was also blown away and riveted the entire time; I wondered why Mary had to be definitively dispatched. I loved seeing Sian Brooke's amazing versatility after having seen her Ophelia in the simulcast of the Hamlet from the Barbican with Mr. Cumberbatch, but I hated how she tortured her siblings -- that scene with Molly had me bawling. (Conversely, I had to watch the opening scene of the last episode at least thrice just to laugh at Mycroft XD I loved the fan service with his umbrella being revealed at last to conceal a blade and gun handle :)
Comment: Hi Marie I just received another fabulous jar from you. Everything was things I liked. I was in another swap recently for snowflakes - I should have had all of these snowflakes to make a card. I just adored the pig - I have my cats running around the room trying to figure out where the noise was coming from. It will be treasured for years to come. Thanks for swapping again with me and I hope that we swap again sometime soon. Pat
Comment: Thanks, I do like that card a lot! As for the dislikes, I had just read through a lot of profiles with rather extensive dislike lists when I added that. And it's a pet peeve of mine on postcrossing. I sometimes have people who I don't know what I can send them that won't irritate them... and I don't like that. I think part of the joy of trading postcards is seeing what others wanted to send.
Comment: Thank you SO much for the Weisman Art Museum postcard!!! I've been trying to get to Minneapolis for decades (I kid you not. I never get out of the airport!!) so once I do I'll put this on my list. I appreciate that you read my profile!!! : )
Comment: Thank you for the Christmas greetings and New Year's wishes :-) can you believe how winner hit this year! It's fun to see everything covered in snow but be careful on the ice! Have a great holiday season!☃ï¸ðŸŽðŸŽ„
Comment: great video, you're fun to watch! Good info about how you store them... I really don't store mine in an organized way but when I first get one, I put it on the fridge for a while to display it there. I like the pictures on them... but I really only join postcard swaps when there is an interesting prompt for what to write on the back... it just SO annoys me to get a card that just says "Hi, I hope you like the postcard". I recently did one where people wrote their mental health diagnoses and what they personally have to do to manage their mental health issues. I love the openness of putting it on a postcard... as it goes through the world it's not private, other people can read what it says.
Comment: I enjoyed reading your letter. I couldnt agree more about the jollier mood in the air during this time. What a wonderful world we would have if everyone applied that feeling all year long. I love decorating and get carried away. My entire house is a winterwonderland and each year we add to the lights and displays. I do a lot of shopping day after christmas and stock up. When i go to put them up again its like my mini christmas. I enjoy all Christmas music and movies. I never thought about the ringtone - thanks for the idea! Snow is God's glittter for sure! Have a Merry Christmas! Thank you for your letter!
Comment: Hi Marie! Thank you for the really cute Thanksgiving card and I agree - love this time of the year for the Pumpkin Spice everything! Hope you find some goodies that work for you! Thank for the extras as well - very cute! Wishing you and yours a Happy Thanksgiving full of family/friends, good food and fun! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Looks great, will update once I open up my goodies. I have finished opening my goodies, just too tempting. You gave me a wonderful pkg with so many great things. My favorite is the owl pin cushion. Everything was spot on to - every day it made my day (some days I needed two - lol!) thanks so much.
Comment: Thank you for the wonderful box. Now I have a container for all the Advent teas. I deeply appreciate it. And the wrappers are so fun, and the extras, just brilliant. Most thoughtful. Thank you!
Comment: I kid you not, as I was watching the election results, at 8:30 pm - our mail delivery stinks these days - your postcard slid through the mail slot. Love the angry lollipop! I'm a sad lollipop, right about now. Take care, Marie.
Response: What a crazy coincidence! Yep, I'm a sad lollipop too. Glad you liked the postcard.
Comment: Hey Marie, I received your package. Your artwork is so beautiful I am excited to place it somewhere, still going to look up the best place to "abandon" it and I will send you a picture via email :] Im sure someone will be thrilled to pick it up. Keep painting! Your art is great
Comment: Thank you for the great letter and lovely floral stationery used. I'm looking forward to Halloween, but basically candy and daughter enjoying it. Hubby brought a Brother manual typewriter from his other property, and it was fun to type with it. Ribbon has to be replaced. Your blue ink is nice.
Comment: Hi Marie I received your lovely jar today and I loved it all. The burlap ribbon was great. I cannot believe how much stuff you can get into a jar. I will use everything. Hope we swap again sometime. Pat
Comment: Thank you for the cute notecard and note! I really enjoyed it and all the little enclosures! I will be answering back if that's ok with you! Always looking to chat with a fellow "Once Upon A Time" fan!
Comment: Thanks Marie. I don't really mind homer decos, but some people would rate down for receiving one with these swap requirements. Also the postmark is dated 9/27 which is a few days after you said you had sent it.
Response: Sorry, I've been such a mess lately. I didn't realize it was a homer. I could have sworn there was a few more pages. I would have been willing to do a resend. I did send these on a Friday night in a blue box...I guess I didn't check to see what pick up time was and I know some of our mail has to be shipped down to a larger city to be canceled because the closed our facility. Sorry for any inconvenience and thanks for rating a 5 despite that.
Comment: Thanks for being such a prompt swapper - I always love it when someone sends things right away. You are a true sewer! And I can tell you a bias tape foot and a zipper foot are both very handly things to have, I hope Santa brings them to you for Christmas.
Comment: Thank you for a wonderful swap! I loved every single thing you sent! Thank you especially for the address labels, and the envelope you wrapped them in is absolutely gorgeous. Thanks for sharing the story about conquering your fear, congrats on getting your driving license! It's funny you should mention praying that I can conquer something too...I've got something going on right now that I really do need to conquer! Thanks again, have a great week!
Response: God works in such wonderful ways. He must have known you needed some encouragement to get through it. You can do it!
Comment: Marie, Thank you for the card and the extra goodies! Much appreciated! I have only recently returned to swapbot and this is one of the first I've received since I've been back. We were in Duluth in August and may go again later in Oct. Lovely place to visit. Thanks!! Jackie
Comment: Hi Marie! I love your chocolate mailer - very fun! I hate to hear about the storm but am glad you did not have damage at your place - storms keep popping up here as well and we never know what we will wake up to - yikes!! I also love these swaps and look forward to more of them! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Loved the cupcake card! I've gotta ask though, what are these stamp thing-a-mabobs?! Are they stickers? Are they preserved stamps? They look super cool either way and Ive never seen anything like them!
Response: They are stickers :) Glad you like them!
Comment: Thank you for the nice Flamingo card. The hotel has been around a long time. I also don't gamble, but have visited Vegas several times, as Hubby likes it and have had friends live there. I've made the best of my time there and hope I won't go again.
Comment: Thank you for the Las Vegas casino card. I've been to Vegas a few times but usually spend more money going to shows and souvenir shopping than gambling. When I do gamble, I spend my time on the penny machines....big spender! :)
Comment: Thank you for the pretty note card! Yessss! Summer is here along with the humidity & mosquitoes! Augh! Fall & spring are nice here in Houston. Traditionally we do summer trips... it's Ukraine this summer!
Comment: How fun is this! What a fun piece of mail art. I am going to try this, too cool! Thank you for all the goodies tucked inside the watermelon. This just opens so many ideas for summer projects. Adore it! Hugs, Mona
Comment: Thank you for the nice note and the card! I can tell this is a card from Michaels--i love getting my notecards there! We have had nice spring weather here in Louisiana but it has been raining since Sunday night so I'm staying inside and getting crafty! Happy Swapping!
Comment: I loved reading your memories! I, too, had four grandmothers - both of my parents' mothers, my mom's mom's mother and my dad's mom's mother. My dad's mom is still alive at 102. My mom's mom had an old lidded basket full of buttons that I played with as a young girl. My mom has it today, so I still can look inside! Thanks so much for sharing your memories with me!
Comment: Hi Marie What an exciting day I had yesterday. This is my 10 Star rating. I received my pig Whimsey Jar - it was the cutest thing. I can't believe all of the items you got in there. The keys, the stamp, the ribbon, WOW! Thanks also for the stationery - I am always happy to receive that. The jar was the highlight of the adventure. Thanks again so much. Hope we swap again sometime soon. Pat
Comment: Hi Marie - I love the mug you sent me for this swap! I can't decide which of my two crazy brothers I'm going to give it too, but I think it will be the older, crazier one, lol. What a cute find. Thanks for sending it my way. Happy Swapping!
Comment: Hi Marie, yes, of course we can always celebrate Christmas as far as I'm concerned! I keep a very small Christmas tree with lights up all year in my office in my home. With every good wish for a happy and healthy life, Jane Russell
Comment: Hello Marie
It is nice to have a related person with whom to share your life, your tastes, your sorrows ...... you always complements the other. I'm so glad you're so happy.
Happy New Year
Comment: Thank you for the lovely postcard, love the message :) Thank you for hosting another fun Christmas postcard swap. I will be putting this one on my board in my house to show off this season :) Have a wonderful and blessed holiday!
Comment: I received your pocket letter yesterday but it had all come apart in the mail. If you have a photo, could you please send it to me so that I can put it back together as you intended? Merry Christmas!
Comment: Loved the treat bags!! Those were ones I didn't have this year. Hope you are ready for the holiday season to start! It's that time! WOW!! Have a Happy Thanksgiving and a wonderful Christmas
Comment: Thank you for the cute and neat pocket letter. Loved it. Where did you find the cute bears? My mothers name was Marie. I have been thru Superior when we went to Duluth. Beautiful country. Our first lighthouse we saw was splitrock.
Comment: Thanks for the card...I agree with the stare of the model also, being powerful. The card got torn in transit and markings from post office...That's why I say I want in envelope no matter what. take care and happy swapping dear
Comment: Hi Marie..
So I never actually received this, but the same thing happened before when you were my partner in another swap and you took the time to resend...so I know you are an honest swapper.. it must have gotten lost in the mail again. I am.not asking you send me another..PLs are a lot of work!! Maybe it will show up. I will let you know
Response: OH NO!!! The universe does not want me to send mail to you apparently...please please please let me know if it doesn't arrive. I will be sure to do a resend. You know I dont have a problem with that. Unfortunatly, lost mail is the risk of the swap game imo but you still should get something.
Comment: I love your pocket letter! It's great. The closest I've ever been to WI is Chicago. We talked about coming up to see my cousin who lives up there but we ran out of time. Not all Packer fans are from Green Bay. I have a nephew who is all in for the Packers. He wears the cheese hat and posts play-by-plays on facebook.( He was born and raised in Texas.) I'm not sure where he picked up Packer fever but he's got it bad. LOL. Thank you.
Comment: Thanks : ). I like the idea of reuseable peper towles, what are they?
Response: Mine are called "unpaper towels." Basically, they are cloth towels that snap together in a roll. I use them for the same messes I would paper towels but I can throw them in the wash and use them again.
Comment: Thank you, Marie, for the great college postcard you sent me. I couldn't read the name of the college due to the postal service imprinting. Sounds like you like it there and are doing well. Stay focused and you will make it. pobuffy
Comment: Hi Marie! I have not tried Apple Cider like this - might have to give it a whirl! I too am looking forward to summer with fresh watermelons and sweet sun tea - yum! Not quite warm enough yet for the sun tea but it's getting there - yipppeee! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: dear Marie.good morning from indonesia. i do enjoy reading and seeing the photos. thank you for sharing them ! please send my warmest greetings to them. have a good and sunny day. sekar langit pamungkas (indonesia)
Comment: Hi Marie I received your Whimsy Jar and loved everything in it. Since joining Swap-Bot I have fallen in love with erasers and the ones you sent me I don't have in my collection. Thanks for swapping with me and I hope we swap again soon. Pat
Comment: Hello & thank you for your Ohio PC. I like that type as well as a map PC because it shows things of that particular state. I hope you are well and enjoying what is left of summer.
Comment: Thank you for an absolutely terrific Whimsy Jar! It was so loaded with goodies that I didn't know where to begin, and I love all of it. Also, thank you for hosting these swaps. Sending you best wishes for a wonderful spring full of Happy Swapping.
Comment: I just opened your precious gift. So many thoughtful items. It reminded me of opening the Christmas stocking my Aunt Barbara gives me! Thank you for sending me a little bit of Christmas cheer!
Comment: Oh wow, what an amazing jar! I loved everything and actually found some things in there that I can use on some current swaps. Thank you so much for hosting all these wonderful whimsy jar swaps! :)
Comment: I got your waterfall postcard over the weekend...thank you so much!!! My husband and I try to visit as many waterfalls as possible while we are away on vacations and small trips. This place sounds amazing!
Comment: Thank you so much Marie for the awesome resend! I might have to resend a thrift store swap that I sent to Europe back in January grrrr. Oh well stuff happens. I appreciate what you did and I'm so glad we were partners. Guess someone from the post office is enjoying the first envelope grrr.
Comment: Hi Marie I received my whimsy jar. This is the first one I have ever received and I loved it. I can't believe that you got so much into it. I really enjoyed opening it. Hope we swap again sometime. Pat
Comment: I received my lovely orange whimsey jar today! Oh my goodness! I had such fun looking at everything, and what a fun "rose" bag! I have never seen one of those! Thank you so much for all the special touches. I love my jar! :o) (And this swap!)
Comment: Thank you SO MUCH for the Chuck Close PC. He is unbelievable. I too can't believe that it's a painting! And you got to see it at a museum? Very cool. I saw some works by him in NYC...but not this one. Maybe I'll see it one day...but for now, I'll enjoy the PC! Thanks again.
