Comment: Thank you so much for the roadrunner PC! He's actually cute, isn't he. I have never seen a live one but the card makes me think of my father. The Roadrunner was his favorite cartoon. He never laughed out loud, he snickered. I can still hear him now.
Comment: Thank you for the good wishes :) same to you (happy birthday - whenever in october it is) - and thank you for the extras (love the "good earth" one)
Response: Thank you! That Good Earth tea is so delicious...I don't know if it's available where you are but if you want more I am happy to swap you for it! Just send me a message. Thanks for the heart!
Comment: This is truly a wonderful package! I love the mug rug and the extra fabric. Violet adores her doll quilt. It is sooo cute. Even my husband commented on how cute it is :) You did an amazing job and I look forward to swapping again with you in the future. Thanks so much!!!
Response: I am so glad you liked what I made! I had fun doing it. I sent that fabric because I don't ever want to be tempted to sew with it again. It was really slippery, lol! A pleasure swapping with you and I look forward to doing it again :)
Comment: Wow! The fish is SO GORGEOUS! I can't believe someone created this especially for me. I am totally overwhelmed with how much I love the fish. It's a work of art! And the matching square mini quilt is also so beautiful. I really love the colors and patterns you used in these!! Also can't wait to try all the fun bath products and candies that you sent! Another perk about the new boyfriend that I don't think I told you... his apartment has an amazing HUGE bathtub!! Like I'm swimming around in it! So I am loving baths ;)
Before I got the package I was telling myself I shouldn't be giving you a five plus heart for a swap sent so late, but this is one of the best swaps I've ever received so it's getting a heart anyway!
Response: I am sooooo glad you liked it! I saw that fish and I just knew you had to have it. The mini quilt is a potholder, with special heat proof batting. I was practicing a new technique called string piecing, so you were my guinea pig lol. Those candies were something from my childhood that I hadn't seen in ages and found in a candy store. Probably before your time, lol! Thanks for the 5 and heart, you know I don't deserve the 5 and I wouldn't have held it against you to rate me a 3 but I am just so glad you like what I sent.
Comment: WOW - what a wonderful swap package. I really like your zentangle. Spirals are hard to do and you expertly took your patterns from large to very small. I find that a good pen (Microns or Copic multiliners) and good paper (I usually use Bristol) make for easy drawing and dark lines (although that teal cardstock is beautiful). You achieved good dark lines but I'm sure that paper was a challenge. I can't begin to describe how gorgeous the little bags are. I will be honored to use the dragonflies for my zentangle pens! And I will have to make some business cards for the little owl folder. The morning glories are perfect. Excellent swap! <3<3<3
Response: You are so welcome! You know there were like 5 different adorable dragonfly fabrics...it was hard to choose! I am glad you liked what I picked. I hope you like the bag as much as I like mine. Normally I use Microns or prismacolor pens but I used a sharpie pen on this one because I was trying to fight the urge to draw tiny like I always do, lol. It was hard to break out of my comfort zone but I am really glad we did this swap! Thanks again!
Comment: I received your pc today. 1st- the card alone was beautiful. 2nd- I enjoyed reading your comments. I agree with u. I also sent more. Thank you for sharing with me and them, and thanks for the beautiful pc. :)
Response: You are welcome! The snowy one looked good to me because it was almost 100 degrees the day I sent it!! Thanks for participating and hope to swap again with you :)
Comment: This swap was definetly worth the wait! I had such fun opening this package, as a matter of fact I'm going to have a lemon cookie and cup of tea right now, and when the kitties wake up I'm giving them some of the treats :)
Response: I hope you know how hard it was for me to not eat those cookies!! That may have been the hardest part of the whole swap, lol. I am glad you like it! Thanks for your patience.
Comment: Thank you for the gorgeous zentangle! You picked some wonderful patterns and executed them expertly. I love the heart in hand (I happened to do that on mine too) and the tree of life was a beautiful addition. Bummer about your diamond ring though LOL! Such a pleasure swapping with you! <3<3<3<3<3
Response: Thank you so much for the compliments! Great minds must think alike, lol. I look forward to swapping with you again, you are super talented and I love looking at your Flickr :)
Comment: What a lovely ATC. Your line work is precise and true. I like what you did with the little dots on Voxter. It was a nice addition. I have seen Wigwam and Warpped Eggs but have never used them. Your Warts and Wobbles is a lot prettier then it's name. The Vache execution looked like you had measured between the sections, very nicely done. Of course your Versa was nicely done also. Somehow I think your quilting experience has influence you Zentangling nicely. The is a great ATC and I am proud to add it to my collection. Thank you for a great swap. By the way I love my jelly bean envelope.;-D
Response: Thank you so much! I really liked these patterns. I think I get a little bit TOO into the "zen" in zentangling because I am really particular about the details. Somehow it helps calm my mind to do it that way and I am usually happy with my results too. I am so glad you liked it!
Comment: WOW. What a gorgeous Zentangle! I'm so happy to have it to add to my collection. The icing on the cake? I hadn't seen any of the tangles you used, and I Love them, so they'll be going into my collection, too. YAY!
Comment: Hello Shannon,
WOW!!! What an outstanding Zentangle you created for D. This will be a great addition to my Zentangle A-Z Series. Thank you for creating such a wonderful zentangle for me.
Hope you are having a great New Year.
Comment: I sure like the bookmark, Shannon ~ and that's a very nice note card you made. Thank you for what you've created and for the teas. Looking forward to trying the lime as citrus flavours are one of my favourites. Thanks so much for joining my swap :o)
Response: Glad you like it! It was my first try at making something zentangled along with other stickers. Hope you like the tea!
Comment: Oh. My. Gosh! Wow! You flat out rocked this swap! OK, first off, I love all the wonderful book pages and old books. Those will get lots of use! The postcards and used stamps are very much welcome, as well as the yummy teas (lime, yay!). The rusty bits are very cool (I can never get enough of rusty stuff!). I think my favorite item is the grocery bag holder. Your sewing skills are amazing, seriously! I *love* the fabrics you chose, they are perfectly me! And to top the whole thing off, you used bacon tape! Ha! Love that. Thank you, thank you, thank you for a wonderful swap, hon! You went above and beyond. Thanks for swapping with me! :D
Response: Yay!!! Wow, it got there a day early! I am so glad you like everything. I really had a lot of fun putting your package together. I loved the grocery bag thing too - it was easy because I love batiks and blues and greens too. Thanks for being a great swap partner!!
Comment: That bacon tape is bizarre. When I opened the package locker, for a second I honestly thought someone had sent me a package that was leaking out blood at the seams. I guess that shows how deranged my mind is! I have never seen bacon tape, it cracked me up when I realized what it was, hehe!!
What a great package! I just love the grocery bag holder... I love that fabric you made it out of! I reuse the bags for cat poop, and other stuff too! I am using them right now as little tarps to put under my decoupage projects so they don't get glued to everything. I should have known you'd send me something litter box related!
Your zentangle ATC is gorgeous! It's the best zentangle ATC in my collection ;)
I love the fabrics! Especially the rainbow colored ones and the bright psychedelic patterns.
The postcards and stuff are super cool, I love them all! And the little bath products... ooh, I want to jump in a bath right now. XD
That cat book has some cool images that I will use! I will totally cut it up and make stuff with it. I was thinking of hosting a swap for making atcs of out random scraps of paper and stuff, maybe I'll use this for those.
And the burning man stuff? What!? Have we ever discussed the fact that we are both burners??? How did I not realize you were into that??
Lots of hearts for youuuu YAYYY!!
Response: Yayyy! I am glad you liked the package. I had fun putting it together. You mention burning man on your profile...I went in 2003 and 2005. Hoping to go again perhaps this year?
When I mailed the package the postal clerk thought the bacon was hilarious. I got that a few years ago when my husband was deployed. They weren't supposed to have any pork products in Iraq so of course I had to push the envelope and send him a package wrapped in bacon hahaha.
Still planning your tote bag! I didn't want to wait any longer to send this one. Glad it made you smile!!!!
Comment: Thanks for your lovely little zentangle and the tea and cute envie also! I love drawing zentangle with super fine tip pens. I thought about sending you some tea back, but I drink mostly loose tea and even the tea bags I have are mostly unwrapped. If you're interested in giving Harney & Sons Hot Cinnamon Spice a try though, let me know! It's in unwrapped bags.
Response: Glad you liked the zentangle! Doing the little tiny ones has been fun. I'd love to try the cinnamon tea...I don't think I have heard of that brand before. Happy holidays!
Comment: One word: AWESOME!!! I so so loved your package full of Zoovenirs Shannon!!! I can't thank you enough!!! We should definitely make another swap in the future!!! Sending big big hugs! I loved your letter! :-)
Response: I am so glad!! I had fun putting that together for you. Financles prohibitd me from buying all the zoovenirs I wantd to because there were so many cute ones! I will get the rest of the pressed pennies for you next time I go. There are 3 more and I was out of quarters lol. happy holidays and I really enjoyed swapping with you! I love the tea you sent and I have one almost every day!
Comment: I adore this PC of the artisan and his apprentice in their workshop! Did you notice his apron? No shoulder strings but a hole to latch onto the button of his shirt to hold it up? Wonderful! THANK YOU!!
Comment: I 'm glad you are a member of our group. I hope to one day know everyone in the group a little more. Hollywood make up is amazing. I need a hollywood make over lol. just not like he got on the post card.thanks so much suzanne.
Comment: oh I am so thrilled with her and her outfit is just great what a great job you did and i will use the pages stuff for different peoples pages (know your people) and so happy kittie is well also
thanks for your wonderful make over Diva her name is too cute - love it also Maggie D hearts to you also
Response: I am so glad you like her!!! I would love to see pics of the one you did as well :)
Comment: What an amazing packing! I love the tea bag - it's a brilliant idea. I've got a whole drawer in the kitchen dedicated to tea and so it has definitely found a loving home. Thank you! You deserve more than one heart.
Comment: What beautiful fall colors, those earth tones, I love them. Will have to think of something to sew for myself, haven't done that for years. Thank You for all the extras, those will be used in the few days. Your generosity is appreciated.
Shalom aleikhem (Peace be upon you)
Response: I was happy to pass on all that fabric I knew I would not use. Bless you for working so hard to help others. I look forward to being able to do the same someday!
Comment: Wow what a beautiful and well made quilted blanket and wrapped with a bone for my baby not enough hearts in the world to thank you for her amazing flying pigs I'll put flicker pics of her up in a few days
Response: Yayyy! So glad you like it! I would REALLY appreciate some pics, because in my excitement to get it packed up, I forgot to take any pics of it for my own blog. I hate when I do that!
I am so glad you like it - I am loving my address book. I use it every day. :)
Comment: Thanks for all the pictures! It's great to see a craft space that looks like it's in the middle of being used. We just moved and it's half unpacked and all the shelves aren't up yet, it's one big pile of so much too put away.
Comment: Oh my! TWO absolutely gorgeous mug rugs and packaged so lovely! And I love the way you used two different colours of thread on the darker one - what a great idea! Your work is beautiful dear - thx so much! Hugs, Terry P.S. My Joshua tree magnet is precious too!
Response: You finally got it!! I had so much fun making those for you. I learned a lot too. And when I saw you collected magnets, I had to send you one from here. We have lots of neat stuff like that - the benefits of living in a tourist area :)
Comment: Thanks for sharing, I love the sound of your decor! You live in such a different place to me - a desert 1 hour away from the town. I'm in the uk countryside, about 15 minutes from town. I've really enjoyed this swap, thank you!
Response: Thank you! This was a fun swap for me too. I kind of wish we had more partners though!
Comment: Hi! Thanks for sharing - hope the venting help you! I also hate tailgating and it is sad about the lack of motivation for the young, as well as the lack of respect for all! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Oooh! this is such a fun swap. I am guessing you are terrified of moths. This is because I am very afraid of moths, they always seem to dive bomb me and it creeps me out. I would like to loose weight also, so I will say that also is true. So, I think you were not a private investigator before your child was born! Can't wait to find out what the right answer is!
Response: Well it was 2 truths and a lie, and you guessed the lie! Lol the other 2 are true but I am not afraid of moths. I can see why others would be though! (Spiders are the ones I can't stand!) Thanks for the heart!
Comment: don't worry any RAK is fantastic contribution to society and making that difference to even one person is making a big difference :) i totally agree that it's nice to know that the clothes will go to good use instead of thrift stores...as much as i love thrift stores. well done on all your RAKs :)
Comment: i have helped families in er's that had nothing to entertain children with. I have no children but make frequent trips to er with migraines and I always put color books and crayons in my pocket book. Ok 2 reasons one to help parents two if they are loud and or crying makes headache worse and the color crayons and books always help even if they sick or hurt. I never ask for them back I let the kids keep them sometimes the kids are sick and sometimes its there adult it dont matter they still get to use my stuff.
Response: :) Thanks! I work in a college library and I have stocked the front desk with crayons and kids books for that same reason. If they are busy coloring or reading then they aren't running around the library, making me crazy!
Comment: thanks for the seed offer, i'll take you up on it! i loved reading your profile..we have much in common except you live in the desert and i live in the rainy pacific nw.
Response: Anytime you want to trade, let me know. I am about to plant some more seeds soon. I left my last batch of seedlings too long in the egg carton and had to pitch them. Back to the drawing board, oh well!
Comment: I am now completely in love with Bluntcards. I was cracking up alone in my living room and accidentally woke up my daughter. :) You would probably also like Someecards if you aren't a fan already. :) Thanks for the coment!
Response: Ha! I am glad you like them! My coworker and I look at those at work sometimes and pretend like we have the guts to send them to other people we know. (We don't but it's hilarious to think about!) I look forward to sharing Somecards with her too. Thanks!
Comment: OMG! I LOVE ALL the stuff you sent. It's AMAZING. I love the fabrics you chose for everything. Pls take your time w/ the apron, but I'm really looking forward to getting it...THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!
Response: Yayyyyyyy!!! I am so happy you like them!! They were really fun to make. I think making stuff for little kids is my favorite. Does the skirt fit your daughter? I was aiming for a 20 inch waist, about a size 3T. My son is really small for his age so I couldn't use him as a model :)
Comment: What a great package! The FQs are great--thanx for sharing some lime green...I adore the FQ with kittys/fabric...and the Indian-type print nearly matches a pair of shorts made in India that I received for Easter! The notecard if beauruful...you did a great job, it would be nice framed...and xtra thanx for the turtle 'to-from' cards!! Hugs!!!!!
Response: I am so glad you like it! Your package was so much fun to put together.
