Comment: Loved your answers. And the shining one was great. I have been to the Awahnee(sp?) but way before I saw the Shining. But I was with a group from my school and all the teachers were talking about it and asking if it was the shining hotel.
Response: Yeah, I had doubts when I was in the main drawing room (where Nicolson typed in the movie) and I was still not sure when I was in the gold room (bar) but the elevators remove all doubt. It was neat to see. I used to live in CA, you must live there, since this was a school trip for you :) Glad you enjoyed it.

Response: The coffee flavor is my favorite! It takes just like a latte with cream & sugar. J-List used to sell it, but I can't find it right now. I bought like 20 packs but I am down to my last four :( Thank you about the inchies! I thought they would be timely. :)

According to Wikipedia 'Fort Smith is situated near an area known as Tornado Alley', so I take it you have your share of tornados. I can't imagine what it must be like, 'cause here in Mexico (and specially in my city) it is very unusual to even have a thunderstorm.
You always send wonderful PCs, thanks!
Response: The last big tornado here was in 1995, just before I moved here. They have a bad tornado in Ft Smith once every 80 years (so maybe I am in the clear). The reason is the Arkansas River, seldom does a tornado jump it and we are just on the other side of it.

Good luck on your goal of one historical trip per week! Should be really interesting.
Response: You know I wrestle with the same thing when it comes to postcards (hearts), but I figure if they are sent out swiftly and the person writes something thoughtful -- it's heartworthy, there's not much more you can do with naked PC swaps. :) Thanks again!

Comment: We do get hot here sometimes, but not often where I am at. Usually in the 90's is as high as we get. Parts of the state are in the 100's regularly in the summertime tho. But we do not have the humidity so it is easier to tolerate. :)

The envelope was ripped when it arrived but there were still eleven cards in the envelope when it arrived, I don't know if you sent more than that but you still sent way more than necessary which way more than you had too any way. I loved the one with the basket, how did you do that?
For international swaps I recommend that you tape the envelope well as they are pretty rough sometimes.

As always when you have been my partner, I have received another quality set of President ATCs from you as part of this long term swap. It is hard to believe we are almost done, but as so many people say, "time flies when you're having fun." We must be having fun. I will proudly be adding your set of ATCs to my section of President ATCs in my larger collection of ATCs. I am anxious to see our book when you complete it so please send me an e-mail through Swap-bot to let me know when it is up on Flickr so I can check it out. I appreciate the reminder to Vote. Since I am in Connecticut with my sister, I am voting on an absentee ballot. So, I just finished with it yesterday and it is ready for the mail tomorrow. Response: Yes, I did make the packaging myself on a couple. The ones in the light brown envelopes were the ones I made. Oh, I was horrified to learn they were not inside (The ATCs). I was just looking at your mailing certificate & wondering if the teas had reached you yet. I hope you enjoy them.

Response: I get them at my local comic book store. Most comic book or sports card shops carry a gambit of plastic toploaders and sleeves. I found them useful when I collected the HP Movie card series (which was exactly that size). Thanks for your many compliments! :D

Comment: Oh, I have never been on a cruise, but would love to some day. Your pics were the best, because they brought back memories of our vacation to the island of St. Kitts ( St. Maarten's sister island). The colors on the buildings impressed my husband the most, I had all I could do to not have him paint our house when we came back ! I love your lace tablecloth, what a wonderful keepsake of your trip. and I had the best chicken in my life in a little roadside cafe there. Thank you for sharing with me.
Response: uh oh, now you got me thinking about St. Kitts! I am wondering what that was like. Cruises are the best, since your food, entertainment and mode of travel are all upfront. You only have to consider tips (you give to your waiter & steward the last day) and side excursions that they offer (that run $25 - $60 dollars), gambling & souvineers. I hope you do take one. I am curious what you would like to see by ship?
