Comment: Lovely for you to assume I "deleted my comment" swap-bot has been messing up lately. I am not spiteful 😂😂 I did go into change the rating. to include you forgotten part of the swap(the whole reason we set the swap up) but swap bot before I could complete the save. erased the whole previous. Message. Not my fault. (Yes I do think it important to include you didn't include part or the swap. Again also not my fault you didn't check before setting the swap up. What you sent was lovely yes but not the full swap. I thought it would be important to include that in the rating as I forgot to previous. Also if I was so "spiteful" don't you think I would have removed the heart???
Response: Update 05/21/19 - Notepad rcvd from other SB member last night - being mailed out today.
05/15/19 Another SB member has seen this back and forth about the notepad and has one. She has kindly offered to send it to me to send to you. I had PMd you about the mix up and did my best to please you nevertheless. It wasn’t an issue until today, when I denied the tag. You and I both had already notated my mistake in the original rating comment. However, I am happy to report that I can amend the issue. Since I can’t PM you since you blocked me, this is the only way I could indicate that I’d get it sent once it’s in my hands. I thanked you for being understanding and gracious. I’m sorry you’re still so disappointed, but it will be made right. Updated 05/15/19 - I think it's a shame that you're being spiteful (due to me denying your tag) and removing your comment about this swap. I've saved the rating to the Way Back Machine today just in case. This swap and the tag denial are NOT one in the same - why would you do this? The original comment, should anyone be interested, "abcdefgxyz12367985 rated for Pvt: Profile Swappity Swap on May 9, 2019 5 rating Comment: OMG thanks so much everything is so perfect. No worries about the Kuromi. You went above and beyond! 💚 I absolutely love the all the letter sets and hello Kitty Stationery. I would love to swap again sometime. Feel free to message me :)" User has deleted comment because I denied her tag in the forums.
Thank you for being gracious about my mistake - I really did try to make up for it. I'm so pleased that it was well received - enjoy!
Comment: I **LOVED** the polar bear PC so much!!! I am setting a reminder because the heart button is disabled, but you absolutely deserve one. I appreciate that you put this smile in my mailbox. It may seem stupid but certain things are able to transform my day in the best way and polar bears in general remind me of our polar bear Kali at the Saint Louis Zoo. We got him when he was orphaned because his mom was killed by hunters. When I first met him; even between the glass, I just felt some connection and felt even for a few minutes like I was free from pain and the ills of life. I know it sounds crazy and it's all in my mind but it's a long way of saying I appreciate how much you made my day. xo♥♥♥♥
Response: I'm so glad it was so well received! I held on to that card for a long time "just in case" we ever got partnered, and finally, we did! :) And I don't think the connection between you and Kali sounds crazy at all!
Comment: Thank you for being brave and bold and sharing your poem with me! I, too, have too many crafts right now to do the Write On challenge. Maybe another year, god willing. I'm writing to more penpals and doing more mail swaps, though. As well as all my knitting (and now cross-stitching). See you in the mail!
Comment: WOW AMY! I wanted to cry when I got this, because it's so beautiful, and I feel like mine didn't turn out as well! So cohesive, I love the colors and embellishments you used, and I am THRILLED with the goodies! If you host any more of these, I'll have so many more awesome supplies to work with. Thank you bunches!!
Response: I'm so glad you liked it!!!!! Thank you for the heart!!
Comment: I’m so honored to be the recipient of your 500th swap!!! I put the postcard on my desk with all the other purely happy and special things go. I hope you’ll return the favor when I get to 499! xoxoxo xoxoxo
Comment: Thank you for the cute card. Nice that you sent me a Golden Retriever, it's one of my favorite kinds. And the little Chihuahua that lives next door. I'm more of a kitty person but have had dogs in the past. Thanks again.
Response: You are most welcome!! Thank you for the heart!
Comment: What a cute postcard!!! Hope Radin’s anniversary was good. My dogs are a huge part of my world too!! Your postcard was postmarked February 11 and I just got it today!! Wow! Thanks so much, love this swap series!
Response: You are so welcome!!! Even though I won't be doing the series in the group, I think I will still host a Dog PC swap monthly <3
Comment: Thank you Amy for the vintage PC view of Daytona Beach, FL! And I just saw announcement of the Daytona Beach 500 winner. I hope to see the beach some day, but you won't find me doing those exercises on the beach. Instead I'd enjoy the warmth, the sea air, sound of the waves. And buy plenty of PCs!
Response: Agreed - I would not be at the beach to exercise! Hehe. Thank you for the heart!
Comment: Thank you. All new cards for me. I don't mind the sticker. I especially like the stadium one. I have several now. On trips when I pass a college, I wonder if they have postcards, but can't/don't stop. You can't hit them all.
Response: I'm glad you like the stadium! I actually have NO idea how I came across that one. hehe. Thank you for the heart!
Comment: Great postcard for the letter L Amy. I live in a seaside/fishing town so I also see them about. I too prefer to see them in their natural habitat and not for sale in shops or restaurants. Cool coastal themed postage used as well with the scratch and sniff and the Luminescent one, thank you very much :)
Response: You are quite welcome - so glad you liked it. Thank you for the heart!
Comment: Ok, I saw that and I was like WOAH! No pun intended LOL What kind of races do you do? My fiance does 5K mostly and I'll walk them and he'll run back to me and walk back to the finish line with me. It's fun.
Response: I do a variety! I do about 10 5Ks a summer, 3 10Ks, a 7 miler, and a half marathon. I have yet to take the marathon plunge, but I'm getting the desire! Thank you for the swap!! Always a pleasure :)
Comment: I loved your Mail Art of Birds! I like Mail Art because I don't have to have it perfect! Unlike a card it has to be straight with the cardstock ect. I loved the extras too! I am glad you had me to send too! Thank you!
Response: This was my very first mail art attempt so I am absolutely thrilled that you liked it so well! There are always nerves when trying something new! Thank you for the heart!
Comment: OMG what a cute card, poem, and picture of your sweet dog Radin!! (Is that a rubber stamp of his face?!?!!!) What great happy mail! Thanks so much and also for hosting it!!! xxxx PS love ALL the goodies you sent!!!! XOXO
Response: YES, that rubber stamp IS my Radin. I want to have another made with a better picture at some point :) Thank you for the heart, and I'm so glad you liked the mail! I had just found a copy of Where the Sidewalk Ends last weekend and while reading it, stumbled on the poem and was thrilled at the timing!! :)
Comment: Cute postcard. Thank you. Beagles are such wonderful dogs. Did you rescue Radin from PetFinder? That’s where I got my two biggest. One from Alabama and the other Tennessee.
Response: I rescued Radin from a shelter in Lewiston. They had just done a run to get a bunch of puppers about to be put down in AL - he was in that mix. 4 years ago Feb 18th! He's my Valentine <3 Thank you for the heart!
Comment: Your handwriting is stunning! Claw or not damn fine penmanship! Okay, my secret between you, Radin and I? This is my favorite PC to date. I miss my stink butt so much, these bearded minis with their ‘tude....Honestly. You are so incredibly kind💜Thank you
Response: I am so very glad you liked the PC. I know I had just sent a schnauzer, but I had another on hand. I'm glad sending another wasn't "too much" :) Thank you for the heart and the kind words about my penmanship. I've spent years not liking it, but snail mailing and swap-bot have made me like it because others seem to dig it. :)
Comment: Omg you sent me a schnauzer. Thank you! I can’t even convey how much this means to me. You are amazing. I can’t believe you will be running over 2000 miles! My friend is the same. She’s doing runs in all 50 states before 50. She’s over 1/2 way done. Good on ya girl! I’ll just stick to walking and yoga. Stop swearing you say? I tried that too, it lasted approximately seven minutes. Happy new year to you!
Response: I am so thrilled that you liked it!!! I love it when I can make my partner happy :) I realized yesterday with my first dropped f-bomb of the NY that the no swearing is going to be more difficult than the running! Baaaa ha ha ha. Thank you for the heart! <3
Comment: Thank you for the oodles of poodles! : ) I have 2 white ones so this postcard couldn’t be more perfect! Ahhh yes, always in search of an easy harness, lol! Hope you and your pup had a great Thanksgiving and thanks for hosting this swap!! xoxo
Response: I'm so glad you like it!! :) I mean . . . RADIN is so glad you like it :) He sent it hehehe. Thank you for the heart!
Comment: Love what you did on this ATC! Very cool!
Response: I am SO relieved that you like it!!!! I was so stressed about having to rely on a sticker (though I think it's a nice quality one), but I tried and tried and tried SO hard to draw a whale... and the best description of my attempts is that he was "smug bastard judging me with his wonky eye." I almost sent my attempts along too lol. Thank you so much for the heart! I've only done 4 ATCs to this point, but my confidence is growing!!! <3
Comment: Thanks you for the adorable jelly fish ATC. I can't believe that is only your second attempt (careful .... You will get hooked!). I love the translucent colors and shiny textures and mini sequins. Everything is perfect. And thanks for using that awesome postage stamp! Beautiful presentation. Hope to swap with you again! <3<3<3
Response: I am so so glad that you liked it! I am a little hard on myself when it comes to perfection so it's always a relief when my work is enjoyed!! :) Thank you for the heart!
Comment: TRULY a stream-of-consciousness letter. I bow to you, madam. Especially how you just left me with a sentence about apple fetishes and then... stopped. *slow clap* Best letter I've read in months!!
Response: I felt like it was one of the better ones I've written! I'm glad you enjoyed it! :) Once I get "life" back on track, I'll be writing my pen pal letter. I have too many hobbies and not enough time. My Mum has been de-stashing her fabric so now quilting is taking over again lol.
Comment: What a creative way to blend a tea swap into a pocket letter! I have swapped a few pocket letters, but it never occurred to me to blend the two. How awesome are you? I love the tea choices, and I'm boiling a pot as we speak. Everything you sent in the pocket letter was listed as a favorite on my profile. Way to go! Thank you so much for coordinating a great swap!
Response: I am so glad it was enjoyed! I had never done a pocket letter so I figured a sorta PL was a good first attempt just to get my feet wet :) Thank you for the heart!!
Comment: Amy, thanks so much for your well put together themed out package. It arrived today. And I absolutely loved everything. Haven’t been blown away on The Bot for sometime, until now! I’m obsessed with the greeting card 😍
Response: I am so glad it was well received and loved!! That is absolutely thrilling to me! :) Enjoy, and thank you so much for the heart!!
Comment: Thank you so much for the beuatiful postcard. It turned out great!! Much better than mine, haha. I hope you receive the one I sent you soon. I'm a little concerned because I didn't send it in an envelope and I hope it makes it safe to you. Also, the map envelope is very interesting to me, especially as it had the old map of Africa with the old country names. Very cool!
Response: This swap was far more difficult than I anticipated! When I sat down to do it, my brain just couldn't connect!!! Thank you for the heart, it builds my confidence!! If you want some map envelopes, I'd be happy to share with you - I made a lot of them - various maps! :)
Comment: What fun to get someone's first ATC! It's super cute! I like your idea of embellishing an image on fabric. I haven't ever received one like that. Your story about not being able to find the exact word you wanted is pretty funny, too. Thanks so much for sharing your time and talent with me! BTW - Your handwriting is gorgeous. I'll bet you hear that all the time! :-)
Response: WOOOO!!!! Thank you for the heart! I've been on pins and needles awaiting your thoughts! I think it is always scary to send something creative, but I was particularly nervous about this being my first attempt. I have since made another for a future swap. I find I enjoy them, and like I said - they force me to let go of my innate need for perfection. Thank you for the compliment on my handwriting! I was just mad at myself last night for "ruining" my jellyfish ATC by writing on it in my own hand. hehe. Thanks again, I'm so excited!
Comment: Hello there Amy!
Thank you for checking in with me and thank YOU for the wonderful postcard! It made me smile and I really appreciate the beautiful postcard! You mentioned you want to finish a book that night, did you managed to? Hhahaah. Cheers from Singapore! <3
Response: Thank you for checking, glad it made it. I'm even more glad it is liked :) I've finished 4 or 5 books in the past month or so, so I assume the one I mentioned is done too :) Thank you for the heart!
Comment: Love the PC. I've been to Chicago several times and took a camping trip once in the southern part of the state with some friends. Chicago is a fun place to visit but also be sure and look it up on Google "Chicago aerial view at night". The city is set out in a grid and it's really cool. Thank you!
Response: I will definitely look that up! :) Thank you for the heart! :)
Comment: I've had one of these as a roll of washi before (the cupcakes) but I just ran out! 😄 and I think i've seen 2 of these other samples in the past. Either way, I do love the selection! And i love your handwriting! 😊 Thank you very much!
Response: You are welcome!!! I have SO much washi that I hate that I sent you some you've already gotten, buttt they are my favorites lol. Thank you for your words re: my handwriting :) ... and the heart!
Comment: I can not even to put into words how thankful I am. I started following you on IG:jeepma1 after reading your bio I wanted to copy and paste it to mine. So many things that I have wanted to put in mine but after 6 years on here I started to give up on people. This was the most amazing and heart fulfilling package ever. I laughed, I cried, I did an girly circle jumpy dance and sent a group text to show my friends (aka uncultured people who are rolling their eyes saying who cares.). Once I can find my old uniforms I will cut some patches off for you. I have ct law enforcement patches for you. We moved to FL and I would only part with them for someone as you. ( Note: someone as caring and kind hearted as I feel that I am.➡️ ) I love love love your theory on swaps hurting a little bit. I have been getting such unthoughtful garbage in mine half has literally gone in the trash. Not even usable for my 5 year olds smash book. Back to how amazing you are! You have literally made my summer and restored faith in SB. I have joined your group and stalked you on Ig now. Lol. I will be in CT visiting for two weeks but I will find you something amazing along my travels. When I feels right I will know! PS if you request my in IG and get through Fort Knox you will see my daughter had a live unicorn (mini pony) on Sunday at her party. With so much appreciation my rant is over. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Response: I am so glad that you liked the swap!! When I saw your love for Wicked, I just knew I had to send you my Playbill. The print / picture was from a vendor on the street so it didn't come right from the show, but it is still pretty neat! I really need to read the book myself - the show was incredible, and I was happy to share a piece of it with you :) I followed you back on the good ol' IG. All I can say is ... when you feel disheartened re: SB, stick with it. I think everyone can go through a period where the stress seems to outweigh the pleasure (I went through it when I first started, and I know for sure other friends I've met through here have been through it). Stick with it, don't be late on swaps, and it all works out :) You are most welcome, and I love that I sent these items to its perfect home! That's always a great feel after that little bit of hurt :) <3 xox
Comment: Amy!! Thanks so much for the wizard PC. It totally works as Harry Potter related. :D Also, thanks for the compliments about all I do. I certainly try but it's always a community effort as I couldn't or wouldn't do it alone. So thanks to YOU for being a part of the good ones too. xoxo♥
Response: Soooo glad you liked it!! Thank you for the heart <3
Comment: ohhhh my goodness!
i’m never gonna have to buy memo paper EVER again!!
all of my kawaii and unicorn dreams have been fulfilled!
i’m so glad we did this private swap!!
thank you so so so much!!
the coloring pages are the best!
the cupcake one is my favorite! (that’s my favorite insult to use!)
forever grateful for everything you sent!
Response: I’m so glad it arrived !!!!! I had a feeling you wouldn’t be offended by the cupcake, but I just hadddddd to check!!!! :). So glad everything was liked!!!
Comment: Thanks for commenting on my blog. I am hoping to get back into blogging again. Time seems to escape me but I think after I get unpacked and a good sitting space I will have the gumption. I really need to get back into running! I hope you have a lovely summer and happy swapping!
Response: Thank you for joining!! I'm getting back into running too this week, but slowly... I don't want to burn myself out after a week or so off. Good luck with the blogging too :)
Comment: Got the PC today! So nice to receive happy mail on a Friday after a long week:) I was away last week so have lots to catch up on too. Hopefully you are feeling better & were able to get caught up on everything around the house so you can have a nice weekend! Thanks so much for the card!!
Response: You are most welcome - a good mail day is always better after a long day or week - glad it showed up when you needed it the most! Thank you for the heart!!
Comment: This just showed up today.... with a postmark of Jan 22!! Oh letter, what adventures have you gone on from ME to NJ?? I love your handwriting and enjoyed reading your letter. PS - I still want to grow up to be a mermaid, haha.
Response: Does it LOOK like it went for a bumpy ride!? Ha - that is amazing. I wish we knew where it ended up - where it got lost or stuck. Thanks for the heart!
Comment: Good luck on your marathon! I work out 6 days a week and I could never run a marathon! Kudos to you!! 🥇ðŸƒâ€â™€ï¸
Response: Thank you!! I'm only doing a half though :) The marathon lifestyle isn't for me... I looked up some training for a full, and an "easy day" was 10 miles - I want to keep my other hobbies too!! :) Thank you for the heart!!
Comment: I would love to see a pic of the beaded portrait you made. It sounds wonderful. What a thoughtful gift! Thank you for the fun stickers and the unicorn card. It is just my style! Merry Christmas!
Response: You are so welcome!! I will definitely share a picture - I am so excited!! There is one in my IG, but I have to make the piece a bit bigger and frame it. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!
Comment: Yay! I can't wait to see what I got! Thank you!! UPDATE 12/24 I received part 2 yesterday! Woohooo!! We open stockings tonight and I can't wait! Thank you! UPDATE 12/26 Yay! I love the notecards and socks and of course washi! The necklace and charm are so pretty! Thank you so much Amy!
Response: You are welcome!!! I hope you love it :)
Comment: HA! This is awesome! I see so many of the "you were so hot and flirting with me, I swear" ones it's not even funny. I read one where the guy was looking for his waitress who had smiled at him...yeah, she was just doing her job. Thanks for sharing!
Response: Hehehehe, thanks for rating!! I thought it was hilarious also - girl was just trying to get a workout in, not get married lol :)
Comment: YAY!!! Thank you so much for the address labels! I loved them both! The cheshire cat made my day and of course the unicorns were fab! I have already put the Alice in Wonderland memo sheets to use too! Thank you so much for this awesome happy mail!
Response: I am so glad that you liked your mail!! I was hoping you would love the Cheshire Cat labels :)
Comment: "Woo!" at fulfilling most of your goals! I think I remember that you have fulfilled your June goals already, too. ;) (I'm so sorry this rating is coming this late. It's going to be a long story so I'll PM that.) P.S. And I like the Perry Mason books! I have definitely read the dangerous dowager one, too.
Response: No worries!! Thanks for rating, and I will def need to read some of the Mason books myself :)
Comment: ♥♥♥ Speaking of which! I got your lovely envelope today.... Beautiful labels, I am always happy receiving those and yes, totally tailored to my likes. Thank you for a great swap!
Ps.. I will use all the postage stamps!
Response: Apologies for the response delay . . . I am so glad that you like them!!! I will host this again soon since I'm already out of labels hehe :) Much love to you!! Thank you for rating and the <3!
Response: Hehe, thank you!! It's been uphill since my "fail" on this swap. I'm sure you are absolutely nailing the miles, as usual - thank you for being a constant source of motivation and inspiration!!
Comment: Basically, all I can say is wow! The bracelets have made me the envy of all the kids I know. Thanks for helping me finally reach a high level of coolness. And the painting is great! I'm so glad you tried it out. (and I'm also really happy you sent it even though you weren't totally satisfied with the results. I love creative bravery like that!!). Thank you for sharing your talents!
Response: Thank you so much for your kind words, the 5, and the heart! It has definitely helped me grow my confidence when trying new things!!
Comment: Thank you for the post card I am trying to get some to have on hand going to take a while:) my daughter was stationed at pearl harbor and they ran a small flag over the
Arizona, and she got one for her dad and I sorry to say its still in the box Like your idea of framing it Thank you again for everything!
Comment: Thank you for the bucket list note, the bear postcard and letter set! I loved reading about your Gramps and your connection to him. I was raised by my maternal grandparents and my Grandpa and I had that same special bond too!
Comment: Wow! You really outdid yourself! Such a fun and interactive mail - so full of little surprises! I love every bit of it. Thank you for the time and effort you put into making this swap special :)
Comment: Thank you for all the Alice paper! 💖 Those were great and interesting facts about you. Fun follow up fact... I currently have galaxy colored hair and have had pink hair in the past and loved it. 😄
Response: Sorry for the delay in a response! Glad you like the paper, and I'm super jealous of the galaxy hair!! <3
Comment: These Jetoy cards are so cute. I have only a couple, but love them. I miss working with my crafts, but for now life is too busy. I agree that is an awesome way to let go of the stress. Have a great week!
Comment: Hi Amy! Thank you for the wonderful bunch of postcards you sent to fulfill this swap! I had zero Maine postcards and know nothing about Maine (except Stephen King is from Maine) so I'm especially glad to have these.
Response: Glad you liked them!!! Stephen King is indeed from here... so is Patrick Dempsey. I have <3 for both :)
Comment: Thank you so much for this awesome swap! I love the things you sent me â¤ðŸ˜ŠðŸ‘and the Wonder woman stamp you used is so cool 💪. Thank you for your kind words about my profile. You really made me smile 😃â¤
Response: I am so glad you enjoyed this swap!!! I really enjoyed putting it together for you, and to me, those are the best ones :) Thank you for the great rating and the hear <3 :)
Comment: Hi Amy! Thanks for the fun pc! Oh my gosh, I am not sure what we would do if we got that much snow - each year we seem to get less! I am sure I would be taking the day off as well! LOL! Why if you enjoyed your day, it is never a waste in my eyes! I hope your commute the next day wasn't too awful! Safe travels and stay warm! Hugs and Happy Swapping!
Response: It wasn't a bad commute, thank goodness!! Thank you for the 5 and <3
Comment: Thanks for the fun St. Patrick's Day cards! I hope you are back to 100%. I didn't meet the final goal I wanted for this round, but I DID plank 9 days--and I'd never planked once before! So that seems like a step in the right direction. Thank you for hosting this swap! I'm trying again this round, too.
Response: Awesome job!!!! I got a late start this month so I just did day #1 today, but I am confident I can get more days done than last month. It's a progression :) Good work last month though with your 9 days - planks are tough!!! You're doing awesome just by trying!!! :)
Comment: Getting you twice in a month is a treat 😋 Thank you 😊 You did manage to use different stationary but the wax seal made me jealous and I ordered a couple off Etsy but they won't make here it from Hong Kong ðŸ‡ðŸ‡° for about a month 🙠Hope you are feeling better now and everything is going well. Have an awesome week, Nathan â¤
Response: UGH, still sick!!! But slowly getting better. Hehe. What seals did you order??? They are pretty much my addiction - my Mum has spoiled me with many! :) Now if I can just master calligraphy, I'd have some badass mail hehehehe
Comment: Reading this poem is like dreaming, I love it! I even read some pieces aloud to taste and enjoy the words. I don't think I understand it, but that makes it more dreamlike to me, it's a painkiller dream, and all you need to do is lay back and enjoy the words in your mind and on your tongue. Thank you for sharing!
Comment: I love this PC, most especially for the message it contained. You absolutely can do this. I know you've been making huge strides for a long time now and I think that those two simple things will make a huge difference in finally attaining your goal. You got this! xoxoxo
Comment: Where did you get that cute stationary paper! Love it!
Response: Hmm, remind which stationery I used? I think it was the blue Sentimental Circus? I was going to offer to send you a blank letter set, but I wrote one of my letters too long and I only have 1 sheet and the matching envelope left. However, if you want the one sheet, it's yours! lol
Comment: It arrived safe and sound YAY! Thank you so much for everything, I love it all! My husband and laughed and laughed at the fish! He even put it in a fish bowl filled with water hahahaha your package really made my day thank you <3
Response: I am soooooooo glad it got there!! I was getting really worried. I am SUPER pumped you found a use for the fish!! :) Hehe.
Comment: Thank you for the cute postcard (and thanks for sharing you journey). Whenever I have a bad day, where I fall short of my personal goals, I just 'hard' shrug it off and start anew the next day. Life happens and we need to forgive ourselves...always.
Comment: What an awesome package FILLED with Rilakkuma!!! I don't yet have that adorable letter set(: The coin purse with little cards, chocolate stickers, and mini letter sets are too cute, and I'm in love with that key chain! Thank you for a wonderful gift!
Comment: Oh, WOW! I thought there was *food* in the long item! Yeah, kinda...but not! What a hoot! I LOVE it! If I could, I'd give you many more hearts! The ears & T2 plate are cool too, but the fish is the best! I can't wait to show all my friends!
Response: Hahaha. The fishing lure inspired the swap!! Two were given to me with the question, "Can you use this for anything?" YUP! Glad you enjoyed it!!! :) Thanks for joining!
Comment: Thank you so much for your letter Amy. the thought of your invisible ink letters made me roar with laughter (while drinking coffee!). There were a fab assortment of goodies in too - I particularly liked the napkins. Your swaps are so creative and fun, I wish you a good rest and hope to see you back soon xx
Response: SO glad you enjoyed it!!! The ink story is def a good one. :)
Comment: Thanks so much for the PC! Really brightened my day. I just wish that the postal machine hadn't put the cancellation stamp on the picture side of the card! Happy swapping and thanks for hosting:) :)
Comment: Amy, your poem is very evocative...my senses were in overtime. I can identify with the scenes and scents, the metaphorical illusions, the religious analogies....fantastic poem. (You must enter poetry contests!) Delighted you were my partner....hope we swap again...jinanne
Response: THANK YOU. You have no idea just how much your kind words mean to me. I've always been hesitant to write for the sake or writing... and pain ol' fearful of sharing my writing. I looked for contests yesterday and did not see too many that actually look legit, but I will keep the idea in mind :)
Comment: LOL, I'd love to hear more spewage from her mouth as well, too funny! My word was Asshat. I showed my postcard to some of my co-workers and one decided we had to use the word in three sentences that day! One of my co-workers actual used it with a customer while talking about someone. He said, "That guy sounds like a real asshat.". He said the guy laughed and said he loved that word! LOL! Oh and this co-worker is STILL calling ME an asshat! It's created a lot of fun, thank you! 😊
Anyway- thanks for the laughs from this swap!!!
Response: Asshat is also SUCH a good one!!! We need to make butts wearing hats stickers and just hand them out to people who are being asshats :) Just saying lol
Comment: I love this postcard! Lol! We also have indoor cats, but they are fierce fly and gecko hunters. Luckily they don't feel inclined to gift them to us. XD On that note, have you ever seen the Oatmeal's murder cats infographic? It's wonderful.
Response: Haha, I was hoping that you would!!! :) Thanks for the rating and heart!
Comment: OMG. I died. First from the goddamned glittersplosion that happened when I opened the envelope (our elevator is ancient and needed the decoration anyway...), then from the pickles...and THEN from the quilter's pen. Seriously? SRSLY?!! But you know, it made me really happy to read that you were also content. Really happy. I wish happiness on all of my friends, but I know how big just being content can be too and seriously, go you! xoxo PS - Now I gotta go glitter decon myself and my house and possibly the block... :p
Response: Haaaaaaaa ha ha ha ha. The glitter kept spewing from the envie. I was fearful that there wouldn't be any left in there by the time it reached you, but uh, looks like there was!!! :) I think I decorated it from ME to MA! WOO!!! Hansel and Glitter Gretel - upgraded from breadcrumbs (:
Comment: Wow! Love what you picked out for me - I am always in need of white and black thread - I sew 99% of what I make with those two colors. Very pretty ribbon, will be using them on cards very soon. And the stamp is awesome - can't wait to ink it up - love it. Thanks so much.
Response: I am glad it was well received! I had help with the wrapping which is why it looked less than splendid, for that I apologize! :) I loved the stamp when I saw it!! I am glad you liked it! WOO!!!
Comment: This was just an incredible swap from start to finish. Not only have I found inspiration in you, I found a new friend and seriously, I can't think of a more rewarding swap that I've ever participated in. I also cannot thank you enough for the incredible package...I mean seriously. For having only recently "met", you know me too well already! Also, don't think I won't carry the glitter shaker around. :p Thank you so much. There aren't enough hearts to give you for this swap. xoxoxo
Comment: Thank you for moose pc. When we visited relatives in Vermont we saw the moose crossing signs all over. We had hopes to see one but never did. A few weeks ago there was a picture of an albino moose floating around on Facebook.
I just finished reading 'The Fireman' earlier this week - it was pretty good.
Comment: Thank you so much for the wonderful goodies! Where in the world did you find the Alice in wonderland items? I love them!! I enjoyed this swap and hope to keep in touch!
Response: I'm glad they were received and liked!! I bought the Alice items from a seller on Instagram! :) I can't think of her user ID right now because I have not logged on in quite some time, but she sells a lot of kawaii items and often! :)
Comment: I can't thank you enough for the awesome swap!!! One heart is not enough <3<3 <3 <3
Response: :) I am glad you like it, and anything you cannot use, I hope you can re-home it to someone who can!! Feels good to de-stash and know it's going where it actually can be used! :) Thanks for joining!
Comment: Thanks for the answers Amy! I enjoyed reading them and had to google what Buckminsterfullerene was, I thought it was just a combination of words you'd put together haha but nope! Have a super week :)
Comment: I loved the letter How beautifully written, and the kiddies in the foto seem to have a great time. I was 8 years old at the time . I loved the decorated envelope with the washi and the seal Wow!!!
Response: Yay! Glad it made it and that you enjoyed it! :) Thank you for the heart!!
Comment: And 10,002 more hearts for having to deal with that every. Effing. Day. OMG. I think we've all known someone like her in our lives but to have to contend with it on a daily basis is just...oh I feel for you. You wrote this so well too. I was actually getting really angry *on your behalf!* All of the love to you. xoxoxo
Response: Hehehe, thank you, my dear!! <3 I'm glad my letter made it to you so quickly!
Comment: Thank you for the birthday card and fun birthday surprises. The Owl-O-ha stickers cracked me up! Very cute. I'd love to escape to Hawaii, right now! Thank you for the stickers, the coloring book and the owl papers. ~ Cari
Comment: Thank you so much for a great swap I loved the butterflies, what did you use to color them I can't tell if it's pen or pencil. I love the look. Also love the color sheets I can't wait to use them :)
Response: I use Stabilo point 88 fine 0,4 markers to color. They're great, but it takes a while!!! I need to use larger ones for large areas, I think, and use these for the small details. I buy them at AC Moore, usually, but I'm sure they're in other craft stores - I've never looked :) Thanks for the great rating and heart!
Comment: Thank you Amy for your letter as it arrived today! Enjoyed reading what was going on with your thoughts and just marvel at how amazing the mind is! Enjoyed your sharing! Loved the great colored envelope and the surprise stickers that came my way! I am truly grateful for your sharing and kindness!
Comment: Thank you, Amy, for the lovely gifts you sent me for this Happy Birthday Swap 2016. I loved opening them and you did great job of picking things I like. You were way too generous, but I really do appreciate all of it. Love it all. Thanks so very much!
Response: I'm so glad you liked the package!! YAY!
Comment: Thanks for the envelope! :) Love the washi samples, tea (haven't tried this!) and the suuuuuuuper cute stationery! The tiger stamp is so cute, too! I don't have it yet so was super excited to see it. :) If you want another penpal, I'd be glad to write you back, but if you're swamped, no worries!
Response: Actually, that would be lovely!!! I am getting caught up on mail this month for the write on challenge so I would love to have some fresh, new writing pals :)
Comment: Thank you so very much for the birthday package chock-full of goodness. I love the chipboard letters and the notecards and notebooks. And the ephemera collage kit is such a treat! I can't wait to tear into it and create something delightful!
Response: I am glad you liked it!!! I saw the kit and instantly thought you could put it to good use! Enjoy!
Comment: Thank you for the card! I prefer small cities and towns as well. My husband had a job offer in Washington DC, and I told him that he could take the job, but I would not be going with him. I don't think I'd be happy amongst all the hustle and bustle.
Comment: Yay! Just opened my birthday present - what fun!! The socks are awesome! Totally taking these on my trip :) The little journal and tiny clipboard are so cute! Thanks for making it so purplicious!! :) The origami paper is really pretty too, can't wait to make some cranes with it! What a fun gift! Thank you so so much!!
Comment: You asked about plans for Vday... We have reservations for a night at the Ritz Carrolton, in town, but illness has struck the family (normal stuff, nothing major), so I am not sure if we will go ahead with it. He has a nagging cough and it really takes the romance out of things! My parents still want to take the kids for the night! So it will be adults only, no matter where we end up!
Comment: Thank you so much for the awesome SOC letter. I really enjoyed reading it (even more than I thought I might). It gave me some great insight into who you are - and next time you're in Boston you should let me know! :D xoxo
Response: I am so relieved and happy that you enjoyed the swap! I will def keep it in mind to let you know the next time I'll be wandering the streets of Boston! (:
Comment: Greetings! I received your letter. It is an interesting read. I feel your feels. I hope you have a good week. Thank you for hosting the swap. And I ooo'd over the Charlton Heston postage stamp! I also love how you found the washi and stickers - like I said, your letter let me into your moments. I appreciate that. Take care ♡~*
Comment: I love your username Amy! It's great that you have people around you who love and accept you too. I have gotten to the point where I feel like "weird" is one of the best compliments someone can give me. <3 Happy Holidays!
Comment: I loved all the stickers you sent! Especially the woodland creatures! There was one little sheet that has a dear sticker on it and I'm a sucker for cute deer. Your return label was super cute too! And nice handwriting. Great swap!
Response: Awesome! I am so glad you liked them. I have plenty more woodland/deer stickers so if you run out and want to swap, let me know!!! :D
Comment: Thank you for the lovely letter! It was very interesting, and I am awed by your 30 letter challenge! It's almost May now...did you make it? And now I know there is duct tape with patterns! We only have the silver/black stuff over here, which is very useful but not very artistic :D And thank you for the extra's, I really liked them ^_^
Comment: Hi Amy! Sorry for the delayed rating. I got so disorganized at the end of last year in life in general :/ I am just now replying to ratings and such. I wanted to say thank you for the anime cartoon postcards you sent! I have a friend who will love them and I know he will enjoy some surprise postcards in his mail :) Happy swapping!
Comment: Thank you, Amy. I had a few good laughs reading your letter, my favourite being "more nipples than a leper island". Your extras were lovely! The peacock dress, LOVE! I have already joined April. :)
Comment: Thanks! I enjoyed your letter, & I enjoyed the swap a LOT! I will join more of these, My partner liked my letter too. Wow, You have an interesting job. Sure, there must be some pretty stressful days, more than most of us, but still! Stats must be tedious! Thanks for the pretty tapes :)
Response: I'm so glad you liked it!! I have posted the next one :D
Comment: We both bought houses this past year! I forgot we had to buy window coverings!! I had to hang a towel with some thumbtacks in my window in my bathroom! We had one morning where the sun woke us up waaaay to early, so I went out as soon as the store opened and bought some curtain rods and curtains! Cheers for 2015!
Comment: Amy, thank you for the wonderful postcards. I have not seen the one with the cruise ship and lighthouse before. It is quite spectacular. To tell the truth, they are all spectacular. I wish I could give you more than one heart. Shirley
Comment: Hey Amy! THank you so much :) I'm looking forward to piecing together the envelopes! My goodness it costs a lot to send to Ireland from USA!!! It's much less for me to send to you guys! I love the paper/card you used! Happy holidays and I'll be joining your next swap :) x
Comment: Many many thanks for the project life cards (as well as organizing this swap :))! I LOVE the cards! Which core kit are they from? (You sent me one with a little bird on it for example or one that says "memory lane" - they all are so beautiful!) Wanting to know for my christmas wish list ;-)
Also thanks for the washi tape samples and the cute halloween stickers :)
Response: You know... I will have to check up on that! I sent them from a variety of kits, and I never really paid much attention to what they are ... but I will look!! :D I think I can figure them out :D So glad you participated - I liked mine, from you, just as much!! Thank you for making my first hosted swap a good one! :D
Comment: You have no idea how happy this made me today. Literally everything in this envelope has something taken from my profile. Alice, the pink, owls and pigs - your thoughtfulness made my day! I look forward to writing back!
Response: I am so glad to hear that it was to your liking! :D
