Comment: Thanks! I loved the stamps you used! They were so pretty, I cut them out and saved them. The book page was wonderful! I'm not religious but I like to read things from other religions so this was great! Xo
Comment: Hello, thank you for the art postcard of the colorful abstract landscape. Thanks also for the description of the book - sounds interesting, and just the idea of being fascinated with another county and traveling there to explore it makes me think of other paths to seek out...
Comment: Belated thank you for the wonderful Heine card -- I smiled to remember undergraduate days of translating poetry/lyrics as I learned Lieder :) -- and for recommending The Illegal. (I will have to add it to my long reading list!) Happy reading! ♥
Comment: I'm jealous of your ability to merge two recipes and make changes and come out with a good result! (I can't cook!) Sounds like your January was productive, with a lot of progress made spread out among goals. Great to hear you're losing weight even though you're eating out some as well--that definitely means you're doing something right. Good job in Jan!
Response: I'm not a good cook, either, but chicken soup is easy. You don't have to be exact with amounts or even cooking time and you don't have to be careful with exchanges. Don't start with cake, baking cake is tricky :) "Throw these ingredients in a pot and let them cook for a while" style recipes are the easiest to start with.
Comment: I received from you today so I'm assuming the one I received yesterday was from my other swap partner...lol Anyway, thank you for the pretty postcard, that green meadow is beautiful. I really enjoyed the scripture too! Thank you!
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful, peaceful reminder of the real reason for Christmas, Swantje :) I love the celestial/Star of Bethlehem motif and calming blue palette (a nod to the Mother of God, Mary :) WIshing you and yours peace, joy, and love this Advent, Christmas, and in the new year! ♥
Comment: Thank you for the sleek Frozone card -- the scene in which he asks his wife, "Where's my super suit?" is one of my favorites in the film XD -- and for the great Mr. Incredible quote! Happy Halloween <3
Comment: What a glorious PC of a sunflower!! We lived in Kansas when I was 4-6 yrs old and they had so many sunflowers growing there and I fell in love with them - they were the happiest flower :-) My mom, who had a real green thumb, planted sunflower seeds of various heights every year by our shed so we had a gorgeous wall of them with some reaching over 6 feet tall - just beautiful. Thanks for the happy PC and I hope you had a safe and festive July 4th ~~
Comment: Thank you for the awesome Art Deco card! Very pretty. :) I hope you enjoyed coming through Vancouver and your cruise.
I was luck to see 2Cellos as my anniversary gift to myself and DH. It was amazing and I highly recommend seeing them if you ever get the chance.
Comment: Thanks for the update. I love to see the books you add to your list each month - they are so varied and sometimes give me good ideas!
Response: I have varied sources for my book selections, these days there is the local book club, the Amnesty International online book club, my limited selection of audio books on cassette and CD, of course books from my own bookshelf many of which I had wished for, and more.
Comment: I enjoyed reading your thoughts on Acts 1-5. The key really is like you said - God must be in the ministry for it to go forward. He gave strength and power to the disciples. Thank you for joining this swap.
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful postcard. I have sung 'In Christ Alone' often. It was written by Peter Townsend and I have seen him sing it. Another very old hymn I love is 'My hope is built on nothing less' which reminds me of a lovely Christian old man who is no longer with us
Comment: I lost your swap in my inbox! But, luckily, I found it :-) I can't remember the last time I properly wrote Christmas cards, so I would definitely count your accomplishment as finished :-) Did you like The Glass Castle? I just read it myself!
Comment: Oooooh! What did you think of Beatrice and Virgil? I hated and loved it simultaneously; what a strange book that packs a punch at the end. I'm sure that your infinity scarves are being well used and loved this winter!
Comment: Thanks for the update! I love those goals that are completed unexpectedly - it's like the universe is just out there putting opportunities in front of you at the right time. Looking forward to your progress in 2016!
Comment: Swanjte...What a beautiful postcard...it is my one and only with German scripture (very cool). Thank you for the scripture you shared....it sounds like a challenging sermon series your Pastor is doing..may you find opportunities to make application in your daily life!! Hugs and Happy Thanksgiving!!...Charlene
Response: Definitely challenging! Happy Thanksgiving for you, too!
Comment: Thanks for the update! I'm not as good at stalking my friends' BookCrossing activity as 6of8 is, but now I have a reason to look at yours every month for JEs. Thanks! And YAY for having somewhere to store your quarter collection as well. I love when I'm finally able to display/collect items I like in a meaningful way so I can appreciate them easily later.
Comment: I'm so sorry for the late rating. I knew something was nagging me. :)
Great job continuing to work away at the long-term goals. I'm looking forward to seeing them fall into place. And as far as giving the books away, I think giving them counts even if you get them back. It seems to me the idea is to share good reading - and if you share the same book more than once, happy book!
Response: It took me a while to rate you, too, no worries! And you have a good point about the books.
Comment: So cool that you went to a book festival and with some BCers from your area. We miss you at the BCinDC meetings here. And it's been years since I've been to Bryce, Zion, and Yellowstone, so I'm envious of your travels! I'm glad you & your husband had a great time seeing some great sights :-)
Response: We just had a little BC meeting, but it was very cool, because it was the first time meeting BCers from the area. We want to meet again. I miss the BCinDC meetings, too!
Comment: This is the perfect card for me...I <3 cats but my hubby is allergic to anything with fur. I had thought about getting one of these cats once till I actually pet one, it's just not the same LOL Thank you
Comment: What a great PC. . . cannot imagine that much snow but since it's Greenland it makes sense. Loved hearing about your 'snow walk' in Falls Church . . . we do get some snowfall in this area from time to time but it's certainly not as bad as many parts of the US! Now it's the hot and humid which I really dislike. Thanks for the great PC and happy swapping ~~
Comment: I love California Dreamin' too! And yes, The Mamas and the Papas did the best job on it. Glad you made it to CA; it's a very pretty state. Our daughter lives in SF - she said she misses the thunderstorms, but I doubt she will ever move back to WI.
Thanks so much and thanks for taking part in my swap!
Comment: Wow! Travelling AND finishing 3 goals in one month. Awesome! I was surprised to see The Sheep of Lal Bagh on your list of books read; it was one of my favorites as a kid! I always wanted a grass-eating sheep as well instead of a lawn mower.
Response: The Sheep of Lal Bagh was one of the books on sale at my local library branch, they sell books for 10c that they either are removing from their collection or that have been donated, but they don't want to add to the collection. I was looking for some children's books as a birthday present. So that's how I came across it. It looked interesting, so I read it be for sending it off and I'm glad I did :)
Comment: I think that's the fastest ever swap I've received internationally... you're on the ball! ;) Thanks for the book idea, I never heard of the book (forgive me), but it did peak my interest and been added to buy list for my kindle next month. Happy swapping.
Comment: Thanks for sharing 2 pages from the book written by Maria Semple. I've never read any book by this author before. So, it's great to be able to read some now :) Nice to know that you join a book club. I wish there's one here so that I can be more motivated to finish reading lots of books ;)
Comment: Love the PC - very festive and appropriate for releasing the old year to start the new year. I agree with new years resolutions being silly - most don't last more than a few days if even that long. . .but do agree with your viewpoint on doing what's important today, starting over and celebrating accomplishments --- great advice for all. Thanks again and hope to 'see' you in more swaps in 2015 ~~
Comment: You've got a great new list--I'm excited to hear about your progress on so many of these! Also I've been meaning to read Dewey for a while now--hope you liked it :-) Good luck getting further in your list this year!
Response: Dewey was a wonderful book. I really enjoyed it.
Comment: Hi Swantje! Thank you so much for the beautiful Christmas packages! I have them under my tree and will open them on Christmas morning! I truly love the Christmas card with the horses! Perfect! And did you make the bookmark? it is so very lovely! Thank you so much for such a wonderful swap!
Response: Someone from my church made the bookmark. We have a ministry called Crafts for a Cause. All the proceeds from selling the crafts benefit women in Cambodia.
Comment: Thank you for the card. I use to teach Sunday School until I changed churches, hope you and the rest of the church have a blessed time with all your Christmas activities. I always bought the kids that came to Sunday School a present I do miss that part :-(
Response: This is actually an adult class. The extra fun thing about the Christmas party is that many people who were part of the class in the past and friends who we only get to see once or twice a year come. I hope you and your church have a blessed Christmas also!
Comment: ok ok where is the button for more hearts!? what an amazing package...everything was just wonderful...I hope my partner enjoys what I sent as much as I am enjoying this...the fantastic coin...love it...the key chains how clever! have a use for both...and I love them...but that book kit..really touched me...thanks so very much for a wonderful swap...
Response: I'm happy you like everything so much :)
Comment: Thanks for the update and explaining your current status. CONGRATS on getting to the end of another list and getting so much done from this one! I hope you'll have a successful month finishing off the ones that need it and drawing up a new list.
Comment: Thanks for the great pc - I love weird art like that (surreal?), but I understand it so little. ;oP
My huge sugar maple out front is finally starting to turn it's brilliant orange, and the sumacs out back will be turning a deep red soon. Fall is my favorite season, though I do enjoy being able to have the doors and windows open in the summer - when the a/c isn't on. ;o)
Comment: Hi Swantje! TY for the interesting pc! When we visited DC in Feb, we did visit the White House and Capital Building - I did not get this pc, not sure how I missed it! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Oh, I would love to see a photo of your postcard organizing with the boxes and cards all spread out for sorting! That seems like such a fun project. Congrats on the Spanish as well; I'm terrible with languages and the only Spanish I know is from Sesame Street! heehee Keep up the good work now that you're in the home stretch!
Comment: The goals you are working on right now sound like so much FUN!! I have tried DuoLingo too but found I didn't have enough time to keep at it. I hope it works out really well for you - I was very impressed with it while I was messing around with it.
Comment: We got the same number completed last month! High five! Sorry World Book Night didn't happen for you this year :-( Oh well. Maybe next list? I look forward to hearing about your new craft room when it all comes together! What color are the newly painted walls? My craft room is light purple :-)
Response: Yes, I'm considering putting it again on the next list. The walls are just off-white - it's a rented apartment. But at least they're not all weird in different shades anymore.
Comment: This jellyfish is very cute! It is the exact colors of my niece's room(she's a tomboy). I am going to send it to her for Valentine's Day and she is going to love it! Thanks for doing such a good job!
Response: Awesome! I'm glad you like it and sure she'll like it as well.
Comment: Edit: Oops! So sorry!
Congrats on learning to crochet. I love to make scarves and blankets, but I'm so slow (or maybe just overly ambitious). lol. Good luck learning to read patterns. That's something I always have a little bit of trouble with. Best wishes for December!
Response: Um, thanks for rating before I even sent anything ;) Edit: Thanks! And blankets can take a long time, they're big!
Comment: Swantje...I am over"JOY"ed with the items you sent!! Thank you...the Ten Thousand Villiages are headquartered out of Lancaster, PA and it is so fascinating to wander in their store...I treasure the "JOY" ornament you sent that was handcrafted in Cambodia. I have some dear friends who are missionaries there and the ornament will serve to bring them and you to mind in prayer when I look at it. I put it front and center on my tree. Have a "JOY"ful Christmas season...Charlene
Response: That's awesome, the ornament is bringing a lot more joy (and prayer) than I ever expected! I love the store as well (I have visited three different ones so far, mostly the one here in my city, of course).
Comment: Ohhh, I wish I could see your Israel scrapbook; I love scrapbooks! I'll just have to settle for seeing you late next month :-) Congrats on finishing two goals this month, and playing your trumpet more (I'm envious of your musical abilities). Good luck with your next goals!
Comment: I'm also learning amigurumi/crochet. It is inspiring to hear others making an amigurumi, I hope I will create something too eventually. I'd love to see a picture of the final product. Keep up the progress. :)
Comment: Thanks so much for the great list that you put together! I very much enjoyed reading the things you plan to accomplish in your life! I will definitely consider hosting this swap again, and with a shorter list if that would make more people join. :)
Comment: Thank you for my B-Day note pad its cool with the magnet on it. I will go change my profile you are the first to catch it. That is so funny because I always say NCSI and my daughter laughs at me. I think it is awesome that your crafts go to a good cause. My craft items go to Relay for Life for ACS.
Response: I'm glad you took my comment the right way. I was worried a bit after I'd sent already. I've really gotten into the crafts for a cause. It's like a 3-way win: I have fun doing it, the person getting the item enjoys that, and third the recipients of the proceeds get the benefit of that.
Comment: Great representation of Long Beach!! It brings back many memories of when I lived in southern California. . . went to Long Beach many times and passed by many more times!! Thanks for the great PC . . .hope life is going great for you!!
Response: Life is going great, thanks! I'm glad I chose the right card :)
Comment: Great PC for this swap! Like you, their music is not necessarily my favorite but am certainly familiar with their sounds and enjoy it when I hear it. Thanks for a great PC . . .hope you're doing great!
Comment: I totally agree that reading the list every so often keeps things in your mind. I'm thinking of hanging mine somewhere this month. Best of luck with the plants! May you have a bountiful harvest soon. Yay! Another person who has crocheting on her list! Now that I took a class on the basics, I'm looking forward to trying new things, too. Here's to a productive May! Keep up the good work!
Comment: Thanks for sending your list. I commend you on your crocheting; sounds like you really want to learn it well, just not make one thing and call it completed. And good for you for all that walking! Best of luck in the rest of your things!
Comment: Looks as though you are keeping on trucking! I too have a bunch of goals with ongoing multiple steps so I understand the frustration of needing more days, mixed with the elation of actually doing something that counts towards completion. What a slippery slope. Also darn ambitious of you to attempt re-reading The Bible. That's one mountain I'm not even going to climb once, let alone twice. I bet you will be crossing off that Postcrossing goal in April. :D Hope that the first week of April was already productive! Best of luck for the remainder of the month.
Comment: Swantje...Thank you for the envie full of spring that came on a day they are predicting a huge snow storm for us!! I really love the variety you sent of very useful items :) Blessings...Charlene
Comment: So good to see you online, if not in person :-) Congrats & cheers on the progress you made this month. Looks like a good variety of things you've done to make progress on some of the larger goals. You've got a lot of time until Oct 13, 2014 :-) I've been bad about wild releasing since the DC convention, so I can't offer much advice, but good luck with your next adventures and keep up the good work!
Response: Good to see you, too. Knowing 2 out of 3 partners IRL in this swap is a real treat!
Comment: Thanks for the great recommendations! I went to Catholic high school so I've read about 98% of the bible already! I've never read "Fahrenheit 451"and I fell like I'm the only person who never read it in school! Happy swapping and thanks for joining!
Comment: Thank you so much! I LOVE the ornaments! now if i can just get myself motivated to finish putting my tree together I can hang them! Trying to save the present to open till Christmas....we'll see :)
Comment: Thanks so much for the wonderful ENORMOUS package! I used some of the cards right away! This was really special. I just sent you a note in response to your wishlist on CPG; they crossed in the mail.
Comment: Beautiful sunset in California! I will admit that the sunsets at the beaches are some of the prettiest that I've seen! I'm sure you're happy to be back home - it's always nice to be back home : ) Thanks again for the beautiful sunset and hope to 'see' you soon at the mailbox ~~
Comment: Thank you for the great food art postcard! I'm impressed with the teapot and kiwi postage you found to match the theme too! I love your list and will have to hunt down some labskaus to see what it's all about!
Comment: Wow! What a wonderful Christmas in July package! I especially liked the white snowman ribbon. I have a wooden snowman, and I will get a grape vine wreath, wrap it in that ribbon, and attach the snowman and make a bow! Just what I needed! What a thoughtful package - thanks so much!
Comment: Ah, sunflowers. . . I LOVE them!!! When I was a child we lived in Kansas and there were fields of sunflowers out in the country and I fell in love with them then - such a happy flower or at least that's how I always saw them, such a pretty yellow with such a big brown center and reaching up to the sun. . . magnificent! Thanks so much for the wonderful yellow PC ~~
Comment: Thanks for joining my swap! "The NightCircus" is on my Amazon wishlist, let me know how it was! And I read "The Lovely Bones" awhile ago and it was the only book that brought me to tears. Happy Summer Reading!
Comment: What a great PC. . . very interesting and it seems a shame that this coatline will one day be full of hotels! Although I love the Maryland PCs since I don't get 'over there' very often, this one is perfect for this swap. Thanks again, and I'm glad you'll continue swapping when you leave this area : )
Comment: Swan, I hope you accomplish all your goals:) Loosing weight is also one of mine, and I think I should also add reading at least 50 of my books! I have a large collection, but haven't read even half of the books I own. Plus I am an avid library patron:)
Response: I'm an avid library patron, too. And a bookcrosser!
Comment: You must be like me. . . pick up PCs just in case there might be a swap : ) This is a great PC from MD although I don't go over there too often. Thanks for the great PC. . . when are you leaving to go back to CA? Hope you'll stay on swap-bot ~~
Response: I'm going back to California in the middle of April. Of course I'll stay on swap-bot!
Comment: I lived in Riverside for 17 years before moving here 16 years ago ~ I don't miss CA at all and certainly not the traffic!! Thanks for the great PC and reminding me once again why I left that area : ) Happy swapping ~
Response: It's funny that you would say that. I have the opposite experience, the drivers here are much crazier. But I have to admit there often is a lot of traffic in CA, sometimes also at surprising times outside of rush hour. I'm glad you're enjoying the card.
Comment: Woot! I didn't know you joined swap-bot! It was great to see a friendly face sending to me. I enjoyed hearing about what you were reading; hope authorauthor's book club discussion about it was fun :-)
Response: I've been on swap-bot for quite a while. I didn't make it to the discussion, but there maybe morning discussion of the book in early January. I hope I can make it then.
Comment: Yes! Please do consider sightseeing after dark. Touring the monuments at night is spectacular and I highly recommend it. They are well patrolled, not at all crowded, and parking isn't an issue. The Vietnam Memorial is especially poignant at night. Thank you for a wonderful card.
Comment: The Jefferson Memorial is my favorite memorial in DC so I am thrilled to get the PC you sent. . .it is the first night PC I have of the Jefferson so it is very special to me. Thank you so much and hope you have a wonderful holiday season ~~
Comment: Oh my! Two books; thank-you! I actually read "Purpose" with my church quite a few yeas ago :) I am very much looking forward to reading the other book, though! Many, many thanks - it looks wonderful!
Response: You're welcome. I read The Purpose Driven Life with my church a few years ago as well. The other book I read just a couple of months ago and found it a great read and very helpful.
Comment: Thanks so much for the great postcard - I absolutely love tulips! We have a city near here called Holland that's known for its tulips and holds a "Tulip Time Festival" every spring, which is always lots of fun! :-)
Comment: Thank you so much for the card with the Marines. What a beautiful monument. I hope you like the Soldier card you get. I'm VERY proud to work for Soldiers. I LOVE my job and every single Soldier, Airman, Marine and Sailor I work with/for. It gives me great pride to be employed by the USA! That is why I chose to be in this swap. Soldiers mean everything to me. Every single male member of my family has served for the US Military. HOOAH!
Thank you. I hope you have a wonderful winter!
Comment: Sorry it took me so long to rate you! I like to sit and read these Bible studies when my house is quiet so I can really soak in what I'm reading...and my house has been insane lately! :) Thanks for the wonderful insight. You brought up a few things I hadn't thought of at all. Very Cool. Take Care, Jenna
Response: I'm happy you took the time to read it before rating, I don't mind that it took you a little longer.
Comment: Thanks for the beautiful postcard of the National Shrine of the Immaculate conception. I am intrigued and want to learn more. I appreciate the info of your own little church. I love churches of all shapes and sizes and the unexpected places of worship.
Comment: Thank you for the greatest Statue Postcard. As a civilian Marine - it is my favorite. I have been there numerous times. If you need a guide for the DC area just PM. Also, join the VA-MD-DC GROUP. We meet in Chantilly, VA at Orgamigrace's Studio. Welcome to SWAP-BOT:-)
Comment: Good morning,
I love the pc you sent of the Washington
Monument and cherry trees! I used to go there every summer for a couple of weeks.
The card and your comments does make me "feel good". Thanks so much! I am known as Sister G on flickr. You can find my photos that way. Are you on flickr?
Response: I'm swan4 on Flickr. I didn't make any updates for a while, but have just started again.
Comment: i just sat down to look and see who my partner was for this swap, because i realized i forgot to look lol. right as i saw your screename my dad brought in the mail, and there your package was! ironic huh? i love it when people send out early. thank you so much for the wonderful items, and happy swapping!
Response: Yes, it's great how those things work out sometimes. Thanks for the heart!
Comment: Hi Swantje! I got your book today and it's such a coincidence!! I had just decided to start reading Sherlock Holmes books!!! So now I can start with this very special one :) Thank you so much!
Comment: Fantastic package! Love everything! I had a blast unwinding the magic yarn ball, and everything inside was so thoughtful! :) Chocolate, mmm.... paint, polymer clay-- yay! Thanks for taking time to read my profile, and for putting together such a perfect package! :)
Comment: Wow, you outdid yourself on sending me some fabulous books. I appreciate them all and can't wait to look through them more closely. You really didn't need to send so many though, but I love everything. Happy holidays to you.
Response: I know I didn't need to send so many, but I wanted to; I just couldn't resist. I'm glad you love them. Merry Christmas to you, too!
Comment: Thank you for the card and for the snowflake stickers. I wish I could pack up some snow and send it to you... It's pretty but not fun to drive in. My dogs love it too- the one rolls around like she is trying to make a snow angel, well, a dog angel i guess. Thanks Again! Happy Holidays!
Comment: i cannot believe such an amazing architecture place exists! i really need to go there and see a concert sometime. my mind is totally blown away from how beautiful that building is. go disney! thank you :)
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful tree ATCs. I like your little stories on the back that connect them to your memories. My only frame of reference for palm trees are those in CA, I did not realize they were so different around the world! Thank you for sharing :)
Comment: It's funny you should send this book. I actually went thru & did all the exercises about 5 years ago, and really enjoyed it. But then I gave my book away to somebody else to use. Then recently it came up in a conversation with somebody, and I thought, I need to go find me a used copy of that book & go thru it all again. Then when I made this swap, I thought about trying to find a copy to send to my partner. But of course, I didn't find a copy, so sent you something else (which I hope you like). But then I got your pkg with this book in it for me! How cool is that? So now I have it to reread and do the exercises again. So thank you ever so much. :)
Response: I was going to send a different book at first, but I misplaced it and only found it again after I had gotten your package ready. I realized I had a second copy of the book I sent to you and decided it was more interesting than my original choice anyway. I'm really happy that my choice turned out to be so perfectly timed for you.
Comment: Thank you for the very nice postcard. I'm crazy about hot air balloons. I made a balloonride a couple of years ago and I really loved it. I'm definetely going to do more of them. They say that if you are in a balloon you can't be afraid of hights because you are not touching the ground.... it is so peacefull and quiet, maybe you should try one time.... Anyway, you made me remeber a very special memory, so thank you very much!!
Comment: Awww!!!! So precious!!!!! Thank you!!! I love my stuffie swap envie!!! Nice job...i really looove it! My first stuffie and I think my favorite!!! I coul be stuffie hooked!! Thnks for being early too...lovely surprise!!
Comment: thanks for the bookmark. honestly i have never read anything by nora roberts. my mom loves her. she keeps telling me to try one. i'll start with this one. i don't mind a book that is bent, as long as the pages are not falling out.
Comment: Hi , Well a week or so ago we had a flash flood I think, couldn't drive while it rained so hard, but now it's been so nice we've been going to the park & feeding the ducks & geese. Thanks for the nice card.
Comment: Hello Swantje,
It has been awhile since we have been partners on a swap so it is nice to be paired up again. What a beautiful postcard of a door you found. I handmade one postcard with a door, and then bought 2 postcards with doors. On one postcard the door is clear, but on the other 2 postcards you have to look a little bit for the door. I really like the color that surrounds this door, the curtain hangs on the door and the beautiful brick on the house. This door makes me feel welcome. The door makes me feel like this is a place I could live or vacation. I look forward to adding this to my ever-growing and ever-changing postcard collection. I have some great ideas for my postcards. Now I have to find the time to put them into action. Hope that your 2009 has started out well and continues to move in that manner. Hope we cross paths a little more often.
Comment: Thank you so much for the lovely chocolate and beautiful coasters! Truth be told, you sent me one of my all time favourite bars (the Divine mint one) and I had never tried Trader Joe's (we don't have one near where I live, alas) and so I had a nibble and it was very tasty. Thanks for taking part in this swap and thanks again for the wonderful package!
Comment: Hello Swantje,
I received your postcard recently for the "P is for.... Postcard" Swap. I love the uniqueness of the postcard--the unique color on such an interesting plant. I have been collecting postcard since joining Swap-bot and it is diverse and ever-growing. Thank you for adding a unique postcard to my collection. Look forward to us continuing to cross paths in this specific long-term swap and others. Until we meet again, continued successful swap experiences.
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful ponderosa pine postcard from Pasadena ... plenty of p's there! ;) The photograph is really gorgeous. I love how the tree bark pops off the card. Thank you also for checking my profile and tailoring you choice to my likes!!
Comment: WOW !!!Thank you so much, I didn't want to open it before my birthday but I'm glad I did. I love everything about it..especially the jigsaw note(COOL) and the box..LOVE IT..I can only give you one heart..but if I could give you more I would...
Response: I'm even more glad now that I found a way to ship the box without the postage being ridiculously high - it just barely fit into that envelope. I had a lot of fun finding items for you and I'm happy you like them.
Comment: It was very thoughtfull of you to send a card in German :-) Actually, on our fridge we have a bunch of postcards from friends and family in Germany, along with the German restaurant menu and an "Ich Liebe Dich" magnet.. so now your postcard has been added in. Thanks a bunch!
Comment: thank you so much for the lovely wooden box ~ it is very nice~ I love the colours you painted it, especially with all the snow we have had here recently the yellow reminds me there are sunny days acoming! Thanks for all the extra goodies inside ~ I especially like the soap ~ it smells great!
Comment: Thank you so much for the package you put together! I am so thankful you joined my swap and I feel honored to have gotten you as a partner! You definately picked out awesome things.I love the cd and the book, I started reading it already :-) Thanks so much again. God bless!
Comment: Thanks for the books - a few more than the required 5! I have heard about bookcrossing but don't know much about it. I will log these books - does it matter if I do it before I read them? I am always looking for new authors to try. Thanks for the variety.
Response: I'm glad you like my selection of books. It would be best if you journal the books immediately with just a note how you got them. Then you can do another journal entry later after reading if you want.
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful PC..It's a very small world..I raised my children in Pasadena.(they're now grown)at one time we lived on Mentor just south of Orange Grove. One of my daughters(37) and my son(35) still live there with their spouses and children..They never moved but I love it up here out of the smog and traffic..Time for some piece for me.LOL..Linda
Comment: Thanks for the postcards. I hope to get out there one day and see all those places in person. Since I haven't been there yet, I have very few of those modern views in my collection so I was really happy to receive them.
