Comment: I enjoyed reading your summaries. I've read many of the same books and agree with you totally. I adored Debbie Macomber's Blossom St. Books but like you, I could not get far into the Cedar Cove books. I'm 'taking a break' from them too. Thanks for sending!
Comment: Thank you Thank you! I love both the ATC's. I am new to ATC's , so just starting my collection - getting a second one was a fabulous surprise and SO kind of you. Thank you for sharing your talent.
Comment: WOW. these atc 's are amazing..I love them and to get 2 makes it even better...I like your style, you are very creative and talented...I am honored to be able to add these cards to my collection...I Thank you with a heart
Comment: Thank you for the reading log! It gave me some great inspiration. I added some Rita Mae Brown books to my reading list. Right now I'm in the middle of reading Loving Frank. I like it so far, and I think that what you said about it has been dead on so far. I also have a lot of books by Philippa Gregory on my list, and I can't wait to read them!
Response: WOW! I really like this book log swap. It is almost like being in a book club. I am truly enjoying finding out what others got out of a book I have read and finding new authors. Thanks for the rating and comment.
Comment: Is that a scan of part of one of your etchings? If not how did you do it so there was no grove to your lines? thank you
Response: No, the ATC is part of the actual etching. The indentations on the zinc plate hold the ink. They usually aren't deep enough to stay in the wet paper as it dries. There is always a mark left in the paper around the outer edge of the plate which has a much larger delta than the marks on the plate. Hope that answers your question.
Comment: I still havn't gotten my forwarded mail from my apartment in Baltimore, so I havn't seen your ATCs yet. I am giving you the highest rating cause this is totaly my fault. I am so sorry this has taken so long! I guess there's no promise I'll get to see your work (waiting on my previous landlord) but I'm sure it is awesome and I'll let you know when I get it! So sorry.
Comment: Love em! Where do you get that nylar stuff?
Response: I called it mylar for lack of a better term. I cut up the tops of Christmas card boxes, clear boxes that stuff comes in, etc., to reuse in ATCs. Then I can stamp on them with Stazon or use acrylic paint and foam stamps. I like to reuse, recycle and repurpose stuff. Especially if it is for ATCs.
Comment: Thank you Christine for your smart card. I agree with the sentiment, my husband is a picture framer and hates people who want their pictures framed to match the decor rather than to compliment the picture.
Comment: WOW! What wonderful work! I've never carved stamps - I really must learn more about that. I'm SO impressed with these - definitely some of the best in my collection. Wish I could give you two hearts! THANKS. C.
Comment: Wonderful ATC's! I love the colors and the composition. And the quotes! Where are they from? Both ATC's are incredible and I am very honored to have received them. Thank you so much for sharing your artistic talents with me.
Response: The poems are from a couple of very old mini books that are falling apart. The poetry is either a Tennyson or Longfellow poem. So glad you enjoyed the ATCs.
Comment: Thanks so much for the very cool ATC with the hand-carved deer. I love you made something I mentioned in my profile. Thanks for the extra ATC also. What type of ink pads do you like to use? I like the orange/rust color very much.
Response: Mainly I like stazon, Kaleidcolor, Memories, Tim Holtz distressing ink and the mini Versafine. The ones I used on the reduction carving quilt star were: 1) yellow-Mustard by Stazon; 2)orange-Tim Holtz distressing pad, Spice Marmalade; 3) red-Adirondack's Cranberry. The one with the deer is Kaleidacolor's Creole Spice. Glad you liked them.
Comment: These are GREAT, alteredtome. They're wonderful AND you sent more than was required . . . hearts for you! I am really struggling with this particular method, so your cards gave me some hope that these really can turn out wonderful if I persist. Thanks.
Comment: Thanks so much for the ATCs and tea. I haven't tried that tea before! I love all three atcs! I can't believe that you sent three instead of one, but I'm glad you did! Wish I could give you more than just one heart!!! :)
