Comment: Yeeeey, awesome mail time ^0^ Your doodles are really cool! And I liked to see little details from your life ^.^ My favourite doodles are the earbud (I drew mine too ^.^), the pistacchios - that looks very dynamic - and the little elephant, because it is so CUTE! It looks really fluffy even on paper ^.^ Thank you lots, I'm looking forward to trying the tea as well <3 I hope life will treat you a lot more nicely from now on!!
Response: such a lovely swap! Thanks for hosting! I am glad you liked the drawings. Keep me posted! Hugs.
Comment: Thank you for the tea. I've not had any for a long time and since it looks to be a little cooler and rainy for a few days it might be good to have some again :) I don't have any of my YA stuff online yet but it is something I am looking into. Just not sure where to put it. I've no idea how to do a blog though as I've never done it. Thanks again for the swap :) PS I have those times as well with the kids. I think every parent does :)
Response: Blogging is easier than setting up a swap-bot profile! Just go to blogger.com and follow the easy tutorial.
Comment: Thanks for your letter, I loved the Airmail paper and envelope and all the stamps! I recently got flaked on in an Airmail themed swap so this totally made up for it! So double thanks! Will write back soon
Response: I was truly anxious that it would never arrive-- that I didn't get enough postage on it, or the UK postal workers couldn't read my writing. So yay!
Comment: Thank you for your lovely recipe for chicken and rice (sorry, I put the English name as my Spanish is non-existant). I love recipes from all over the world and this is my first Salvadoran one. I try all that I am sent.
Response: You are welcome! I hope you enjoy it! I just discovered that if you want to cut down on the fat, replace the whole chicken with just a package of chicken breasts. Bon Apetit!
Comment: Many hearts and very high rating for you!!! I love sour pickles and this one is going to be a must try right away. I have a recipe for pickles that you set out in the sun for 5 days and it has a slice of bread in it. If you would like it, I can send it to you in a message. Thank you
Response: Yeah, that sounds great! Send it on down! Thanks for the heart. :)
Comment: Thanks for the great recipe and the tea bag! I am not a huge fan of eggplant, but I will have to give this a shot because it doesn't sound like you were either. I love your handwriting and how you wrote out the recipe card. Thanks!!!
Response: You are welcome! The eggplant doesn't flavor the stew at all, it really just adds texture and absorbs the flavor. Did I mention bay leaves? And a handful of dried mushrooms? Oops.
Comment: It arrived! (in the last few days of Feb 2012) It took 2 months to get here, but I'm so glad it did. The recipe looks fantastic, but I'll have to think creatively to be able to make it without an oven and make some substitutions. Thank you!
Response: The Boyscouts make a cardboard box oven that I have always wanted to try. Here are the [instructions]( http://www.astoriatroop105.us/BoxOven.pdf)
Comment: Oh, your crackers look so healthy! I am only now beginning to REALLY work on losing the baby-weight. Your bambino is SO VERY ADORABLE! I am amazed at how quickly the time is slipping away from me this time around... nooo! Stay little forever! sighhh. Thank you for such a sweet & newsie postcard!
Response: So far I have lost 2.5 lbs! Only 13.5 of the baby weight to go! And 25 lbs for the marriage weight! Thanks for the heart!
Comment: It was so great to get the "live" shot in Mt. View! The PC must have gotten here after I was already in the states, but I love it just the same since now I have a great photo of him. Now I just need to start doing the E-postcards!
Response: I am glad you enjoy them! And that they made it all the way to Cambodia!
Comment: It is a pretty card. I wouldn't mind hanging out there for awhile. thank you
On the subject of church...I went last night and waited for 20 mins. I got frustrated. I called a fellow worshiper and she told me they had canceled the meeting. I asked why no one had told me. Things are tuff for me and I don't have a home phone. I do have a cell phone that they can call or send messages to. So I wrote my schedule down but some meetings do get canceled. ;) be well and keep your faith, Deb
Comment: I got your beautiful letter yesterday. :D My husband's from San Francisco too and it was really cool to read another perspective about places I've already heard so much about! Thank you. I'll be writing back for sure!
Response: Fantastic! I can hardly wait to hear from you!
Comment: Ha ha... are you sick of getting me yet!? ;) Thanks for the letter, tea, and bookmarks! I hope you have a very Merry Christmas! I love the idea of putting the Nativity together while reading the Scripture. I bet your kids will love that when they get older. :)
Response: Not at all! For once I am able to get to know a fellow swapper a little better, and vice versa. I look forward to many more swaps with you!
Comment: What an awesome letter and I thank you so much for sharing your experience of the birth of your son with me! How exciting! Congratulations!! :) Thanks so much for the tea too - and good luck with that diaper rash! ;)
Response: Oh, man, thanks! I am still waiting for it to clear up!
Comment: Thank you very much for sharing that story with me. I met my boyfriend at the same time you met your husband, but we are far from getting married or having children at the moment. That will have to wait for some time.
Comment: Hello Carmen, Congratulations on your new son. Thank you for sending me such a charming letter. It totally made my day reading it. I was so pleased I showed a friend and now she is joining swap-bot too! So, as it turns out, it was a very inspiring letter. Thanks again, and all the best.
Comment: I received your letter just now and loved it! You write a really great letter. And the map was awesome. Thanks so much for putting so much effort into this letter swap. Hope we can stay in touch.
Response: I am glad you were able to decifer my writing!
Comment: so interesting hearing how you use spices, your little histories of them etc ^^ it's great you roasted your own Garam masala too!! hope to try that myself sometime soon! thanks for the photos :)
Comment: Thanks for sharing. I like that in the end of uncertainty you found something that answers to you and provided you with the faith that supports your life and morality. In then end I to believe that what Jesus taught should be the basis of our lives.
Comment: Carmen- wow...sounds like you have had a really full plate! I hope things are going well and you are taking care of yourself! Congrats on your wedding!
Thank you so much for the lovely postcard.
Comment: Carmen, great purse! You need to be commended on recyling two items, the tea box and your grandmother's dress. Your design overall was very clever. Thank you. I'd accept a swap from you anytime :) Susan
Comment: Wow, thank you. Both the prints are great. I especially like how the paint(?) on the elephant is applied sort of roughly, it really evokes the texture of an elephant's skin, so cool. I love it all.
Comment: Oh my goodness! This card is perfect for my UNESCO World Heritage collection. Thank you very, very much. I've only seen about 30 of the 800+ sites, but I am always planning trips to see more. Would love to go to Cambodia.
Comment: I can't even begin to tell you how much I love the journal you sent. It is beautiful and magical, and I find something new every time I read it. Your drawings are beautiful. Thank you so much! Peace.
Response: I am so glad you like it. That was quite a labor-intensive swap.
Comment: This photo lifted up my spirits, so much. I came home, very emotionally worn out from some things that have been happening, and I checked my mailbox, and I pulled out your photograph - I've never seen such a beautiful depiction of Santa Cruz. Thanks
Comment: Carmen, your mail art is the best!! It's weird, but beautiful. I love the map and the embellishment you did, plus the original art on your notecard. And such a nice, note, too. I am dawdling on my mail art, probably because I'm in NO way an artist, but this weekend I will get it together, I've promised myself.
Thanks a million -- Susan
Comment: Wow! I just got your postcard. Thanks, it was so much fun to receive. Love how you created it--and really appreciated the personal touches. (I love to read too, think I will check out GK Chesterton)
