Comment: Thank you very much for the PC's for Gold. I really like them! Esp. the West Virginia PC. It looks so inviting ! Thank you too for the yarn note card. Cool ! I hope you're doing well and staying safe.
Comment: Thanks!!! I'm also a big Star Wars fan! And a League of Their Own is great, I remember seeing it 3 times in theaters lol. I haven't seen the other movies you mentioned though, I will have to check them out!
Comment: Hi Julie, thanks for the fun-filled envelope! Just wanted to let you know that it did come with one side almost completely open, but I think nothing has fallen out during transit. I am not sure what caused this, but wanted to let you know. I love everything you included!
Comment: Thank you for these lovely cards. I feel so honoured to have received your special Scotland card. My great grandparents were also born in Scotland. We went to meet family in Perth ten years ago and visited many castles. Stirling was my absolute favourite.
Comment: Thanks so much for the card, Julie! We're getting rain here today as well though we haven't had all that much of it lately. We've had snow off and on but nowhere near what we usually get here in NW Pennsylvania. I'm definitely ready for spring to get here! : )
Comment: Thank you for the great PC. I used to live near DC, in Fort Meade, MD. I loved it there. Always so much to do and places to go. Now in the Midwest farm country Iowa it's not quite the same. Thanks again.
Comment: Thanks so much for all of the good stuff you sent. I enjoyed seeing the postcard of Elkins as I have been there many years ago when I lived in PA. Since then, hubby and I toured WV and loved the beauty of your state.
Comment: Wow! So many fun surprises! Thank you so very much. I really like the birds on a wire washi tape on your craft envelope! Craft paper is so fun to play with. My favorite thing you sent was the cut out little dress, very creative!
Comment: OMG! What an adorable notecard. I used to crochet. My mom taught me. My hands will no longer allow it. I still have one of the last afghans my Mom made me from 1984! A homemade afghan is a wonderful thing.
Thank you for your generous envie you sent for this swap. I especially liked the postage stamps that you used to mail it. I feel like I didn't put enough in my envies:-(
Comment: Thanks sooo much for the items you sent. It’s funny that you sent the snoopy note paper because my youngest son has been talking about getting Beagle for Christmas. Now I don’t have to buy a real one...lol.
Comment: This is the best postcard pick - I LOVE it! Thank you so much for reading my profile and sending this Norman Rockwell PC of the Boy Scout practicing first aid! I really like that you also used some cool postage stamps to send it to me! Hearts for you!!!
Comment: Thank you! I know what you mean about leaving your home state. I have been there more times than I can count. I was an army brat back in a day & we traveled w/ my dad. Lived in CA. 2 yrs., then lived in Ark. 2 yrs.and back to CA again. My mom had enough of the travelling and moved us back to PA.
Comment: Even though I love the color blue, at my house it's "Go Big Red" 'cause I went to the Univ of Oklahoma. But as for wolverines, the cutest one I know is Hugh Jackman, and he's definitely one of a kind! Thank you!
Comment: Awesome PC! I drove through a "sliver" of WV on my way to Pittsburgh once but it was night and we were trying to beat a blizzard so didn't see a thing! Maybe one day I'll get back up there and get a chance to explore your beautiful state. Thank you!
Comment: Hi Julie thank you so much for the Rolling Stones PC, what a fab phot and a fab group. I loved the "The Big Chill" movie. When my boys were small I used to sing them"you can't always get what you want"...lol... have a beautiful week end. peace love light
Comment: So glad to know I'm not the only one who always carries a book, stamps (just in case!), and colorful, fun gel pens :) Thank you also for the beautiful Abigail Adams card. As a child, from the songs/scenes in 1776, I marveled at her devoted correspondence with her husband and how she implored him to "remember the ladies" -- and now that I've read Ron Chernow's Hamilton biography and The Quartet by Joseph Ellis, I look forward to learning more about both of the Adamses. Happy weekend! I am pleased as punch by the crisp weather that landed this morning :)
Comment: Thank you for the lovely church nestled in the forest, vintage postage, and sharing your experiences at the cinema, Julie! I like the actresses in the cast of Bad Moms, and I've known about Florence Foster Jenkins since studying classical voice in college :) Happy first day of September!
Comment: What a coincidence Julie! Thank you for this postcard of the High Falls - Cheat River. Did you go on the New Tygart Flyer? I never heard of this train until recently because my mother is coming to visit and I was looking for a vintage train ride to take her on for her birthday because she really likes trains. Anyway I just booked this train online yesterday! Let me know how you liked it :D
Response: Yes! We took the Tygart Flyer for the 4 hour ride. Very nice. They served lunch and you sat at a four top table for the whole ride. I hope you have fun!
Comment: I loved the postcard with all the cute animals having fun. I can't figure out which one is my favorite, I guess they all are. It make me want to go to Florida. I loved all the stamps you added as well as the inspirational quote, thanks a bunch Julie. ðŸ¬ðŸŠâ›µï¸ðŸ 😎
Comment: Thank you Julie, I love all the stamps too! Cicadas are not too bad around our house, just a few flying here and there but no noise. I was just out at the Montour Trail though and it was pretty loud in some areas! My husband is in Wheeling a few days a week and he said it's pretty bad there. Hope it's over soon for you!
Comment: Hi Julie! Thanks for the UVA post card! Small world ... we visited UVA when my daughter was looking at colleges. She applied, but wasn't accepted. I was enthralled by the stories of the secret societies! She ended up enrolling in U of M - Ann Arbor. We are just now starting to recover after 5 years of out-of-state tuition! But we are WOLVERINES through and through! GO BLUE! Happy Swapping! Valerie
Response: A fellow alumni! How awesome! Go Blue indeed!!
Comment: what you like is awesome Julie! Thanks for the postcard by Renoir. LOVED his work! Gosh, he painted that before 1900! The stamps too are simply AMAZING! It was fun studying them and seeing what we used to put on letters and postcards from the past! Thank you! I love this card!
Comment: Got your postcard--how did the graduation go? Hope it was fun. Your stamps were so cool..i love them...i always try to get different stamps---but i usually just get the ones that are postcard stamps or regular mailing stamps---maybe i need to shake it up a bit :) and get even more FUN with my stamps! Thank you again...have a great summer
Comment: Thank you for the great vintage Vogue cover card and Elvis and Apollo 8 postage, Julie! I have actually not yet seen A League of Their Own but am familiar with the characters and famous quotes and will soon -- it's on my queue :) Happy Friday!
Comment: Thank you Julie for your pc and your goals i thought were so worthwhile! The stamps are gorgeous and thank you for sending me some very unusual postage stamps. I loved the one of Eleanore Roosevelt! She was such a great role model for women in the 50s! The liberty stamp was lovely too! Have not seen that in a long time! You are the best!
Comment: HI Julie!
Love the card from Knott's Berry Farm!!
Ha! Yes it's been raining here too for a solid week.... ugh.. hopefully we'll get a day or two of sunshine before it starts up again!
Have a great weekend
Comment: Thank you for the great George Eastman card -- how apropos for a list about musical artists :) I hadn't known that he was the namesake of the prestigious Eastman Music School at the University of Rochester -- and cool list of so many amazing groups and musicians! Sir Paul is my favorite Beatle, and I would love to see The B-52's live; my sister and I do a mean Cindy/Kate and were elated to finally sing "Love Shack" during her birthday party :) Hope you have a good weekend!
Comment: Julie, I do believe that is the most awesome selection of postcards I have ever received at one time!!! They are all staying in my collection! Thank you so very much for reading my profile and matching your choices to me!! <3 <3
Comment: Your card is a beast! Thank you so much! The book sounds interesting. I can't thank you enough for the XF card! I just watched that episode recently, too. I'll send you a proper thank you card. Go Green!
Comment: Great random facts! And good for you being a matron of honor...no matter what your age (i'm 53...lol) it's just plain fun! BTW...where did your kids get their red hair from????? LOL!!!! Thank you so much! Have a wonderful day xxx
Comment: Thank you for the gorgeous Dolly Sods card! It looks quite peaceful, and I can already hear the crisp foliage and feel cool air -- I would be fine living in an autumnal climate all the time :) Happy Thursday!
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful tapestry-like card, wonderful vintage stamps, and your message! I haven't yet seen Judith's work as Karen Wolek on OLTL (besides the landmark courtroom scene) because I wasn't "old enough" to watch as a kid -- but I look forward to watching them now. She is a class act. Best wishes!
Comment: Julie, loved your postcard. Wish I could be sitting in one of those chairs. I am sick of winter, although it hasn't been bad. Last night and today we have gotten over 5 inches of rain. Glad I don't live where it snows any more. Shirley
Comment: Thank you for the great PC. I was born in Flint. I believe my mother said she made spark plugs and steering wheels. They moved to Texas when I was 3 mos. old and I haven't ever been back.
Comment: Hi Julie! Love the pc and share! I could think of a worse word you could use all the time, so... LOL! That is a hoot about the Crap Bag! Use it in good health! Thanks for the giggle! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Julie these are great! The Husband's Random Acts of Blindness is PERFECT and so true in my house LOL! And the vintage lighthouse and the vintage tourism pc from '72 are super cool. And thanks for the extras too! xoxoxo
Comment: I had a reference to telephone cords on my card too. And I love your reference to taking shorthand - although for me it was typing on the electric machines (the days when you coudn't Ctrl-Z). Thanks for the great PC.
Comment: Thank you for the lovely card. I do know the Edmund Fitzgerald song and like it very much. The bit about the bells being rung for the lost sailors always makes me shiver. I'd love to see more of the Great Lakes; all I've had is one afternoon on the New York side of Erie. So much history and so many lighthouses and shipwrecks; all stuff I love. Thanks again and take care
Comment: Thank you so Very very much for the stunning PC of Falling Waters! I adore Frank Lloyd Wright and Falling Waters is on my bucket list of places to travel! The fact you had a vintage Falling Waters architecture stamp to match it stunning, I really appreciate the vintage stamps! This is the beauty of swap-bot, finding and receiving unique PC's that you and your partner love! Thank you so much again!!
Comment: Great list of facts!!! I love that you loved being a stay at home mom. It was a tough transition, but as my youngest is heading to kindergarten, I don't want to have to divide my attention and go to work! I love my family!
Response: Stay home and raising my kids was the most difficult and rewarding job I've ever had. They were the best days. Not always easy but I am so glad I did it.
I love that you sendme a pic of your grandad and all his brothers and dad! I LOVE VINTAGE photos and the fact that you told me about him makes it even more special! Thank you!!!
PS - heck no.. I'm with your grandpa on this one.. NO way would I go in a coal mine either! Smart thinking!! LOL
Response: So glad you like it. It is a special picture - we always called it the donkey picture - that my aunt had in her family room for years and gave to me. I cherish it.
Comment: Hi Julie! I am sorry for your loss, even all these years later, it is wonderful that you would want to spend time with your sweet grandma! I am sure she watches over you and knows she is still in your heart! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Thanks for the great selection of posties! There are quite a few of them that I think are really cool. Unfortunately, the envelope came with postage due $.70, which was a bummer. :(
Received extra posties and postage to make up for postage due on original swap. Thank you for the very kind gesture! <3
Response: I am so sorry! I still have access to your address so I will send you more than $.70 in stamps! Will that be okay? I feel so bad this happened. I weighed the package and thought I had the correct postage. Please except my apology! Julie
Comment: Thank you for the lovely P.C. I was born in Michigan but was transplanted to Texas when I was 3 mos. old. My mother said she refused to do another winter there. One was enough. They had originally gone up there to find work.
Response: I like the change of seasons and Michigan is still home to me. If you ever get a chance to visit the state, it is worth it.
Comment: Thank you so much for the fabulous selection of post cards. I had to laugh at the Weed, CA card - I've passed that sign many a time - and - always laugh when I see it . Love all the cards - And love your round address label, too. Thank you . Happy day to you .
Comment: Great PC - and awesome stamps!! I love planes and have taken my son to several places to climb on/through planes, over the years. He has volunteered at a museum close by as well Air Classics Museum of Sugar Grove, IL. Have you read about the Stratolaunch - planned for 2016 the largest plane ever built. Take care, Annette
Comment: Wow! Super duper thanks for the fabulous postcards - I love them all - and - well, don't tell @Paige1900 - but - I love that clown card, too - I love the artwork on that . Thanks so much for the goods, and, Super thanks for joining my little swap. Happy day to you.
Comment: Thanks, Julie, for the cool postcards. I took a chance and I'm glad I did! In fact, I can't help but wonder if one of the cards (SF1915PanPacificExpo) may have originated with me. I love having it back with me! Take care. -Rhonda
Comment: Thanks for a lovely card. My dad was born in Rich Creek, a tiny town not too far from Wytheville, but his grandparents lived in Monroe County, WV and we were once members of the Monroe County Anglers Club. Small world, isn't it, especially on Swap-Bot. Thanks again, and happy swapping!
Comment: Hi Julie, thank you for the Norman Rockwell pc. Yes, I like this, they are whimsical and a heartfelt reminder of simpler times. The stamps are lovely also. Have a fantastic day and happy summer swapping! :)xx
Comment: Julie ~ What a great PC . . .I love it! Certainly hot dogs are a 'staple' in the US whenever we celebrate American things --- 4th of July, Memorial Day, and Labor Day picnics and, of course, baseball games. This was perfect for this swap :-) Have a happy and safe 4th ~~
Response: So glad you like it! Thanks- hope you have a great holiday as well.
Comment: Hi Julie! Thank you for the amazing postcard! I absolutely love it! I'm trying to convince the hubz that we need to go to Michigan for a week to see how many lights we can see:) I hadn't heard of "The Light Between Oceans", but I'm going to have to download it now after reading the reviews:) Thank you!
Comment: Hello again Julie! Thank you for thinking of me when you traveled thru Ohio and bought the Wild birds of Ohio. Love the multiview of the birds on the beautiful lake view. Hope you are enjoying some coolness in West Virginia this summer.
Comment: Hello Julie! Wow, you made me feel nostalgic with the "detail" - close up view postcard you sent to me for the swap. Here I go dating myself again - my grandmother gave me the "upgraded" version of that old black typewriter. It was green, non - electric of course, "automatic" manual typewriter. My first keyboard, this "metal monster" was heavy, couldn't type fast as keys would jam together. Surely it was the maker of carpel tunnel syndrome in wrists. Amazes me how fast my keyboard today. The PC shorebird postage stamps reminds me to go back to my local post office to buy some of the new postal rate stamps. There is a new yellow butterfly stamp of 71 cents, I use them to send the larger postcards. I like it cool also, must stay in my apt in the A/C. When it rains I can get out. Happy Summer!
Comment: Julie, thank you so much for the wonderful lighthouse postcard. I never knew that there were over 100 lighthouses on the shores of Michigan. I am going to have to get all of them. Shirley
Response: So glad you like it! Yes! Lighthouses area big thing on the Great Lakes. There are tours and trips and stuff you can take to tour some of them. Have you read the book The Light Between Oceans? Great book if you like lighthouses.
Comment: Dear Julie, as someone that prays every day, and I do pray to my Guardian Angel to protect my kids, family & friends, I want to thank you for such a great pc and the great quote. Blessings to you & yours.
Comment: This might be my favorite simply because of it's hardships in travel. This postcard arrived to me completely ripped in half. I have the half with your writing and name and part of a stamp on it. My address is almost completely ripped away and the poor girl on the front has no head. It's kind of amazing that it even made it to me. Fascinating ^_^ Thank you so much for sending it. And I will take the book suggestion as well. ^+^
Response: Wow! Sorry about that! Sounds like it got caught in something or something interesting got a hold of it! Yikes!
Comment: Thank you for the great star wars altered postcard. I really like Bruce Springsteen too. He played a free show in Portland at pioneer square. No one knew it was coming. I was walking by when I saw him come on stage. I swear the whole world stopped in disbelief. Best day ever!
Comment: Thank you so much for the 'perfect' postcard! I love it!!
It is funny (donkey with the shoes,) historical, Scottish as well as your family history! It is one of my favorite postcards that I have received!!! xxx
Response: So glad you like it! A much larger version is framed above my fire place. I thought it would make a fun postcard.
Comment: got my dishclothes, thank you so much, I really like the knit and crocheted ones so much more the ones I can get at the store. Thank you for being so generous and ssending 2, I wish I had thought to do that,.,maybe next time I will. Marcia
Comment: Thanks for the great postcard and stamps! I love traveling to places like this! Did you see any black bear around? We have black bear up on the main land. Only Kodiak Bears down here. Hugs from Alaska, Sherry
Comment: I just want to say Good Luck on your first book club meeting! Thank you for the postcard and book review. I have not read Wild before, but The Rosie Effect is on my TBR list. I would love to hear what you think of The Rosie Effect when you are done. Also let me know how your first book club meeting goes. :)
Comment: Hi Julie! What an awesome Vegas pc and I loved reading about why you visited there! So your folks will celebrate their 55th anniversary this year? Wow! That is wonderful! What a special memory for their 40th!! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: A wonderful card - I saw a similar grinder at one of the many antique/collectible stores we have in our small town. I thought about getting but passed it up, there is so little space in our kitchen. It's awesome that you have your Grandma's. Take care, Annette
Comment: Hi Julie! Thanks for the great Vintage pc - I just love them! I am happy life is good for you and yours-watch out though, you will blink and your little ones will be grown up! LOL! Wishing you and yours a Happy Easter of fun and love! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful Nicole Kidman card. I LOVE it!!! You should definitely get to a Tigers game!! I'm preparing for opening day n the 6th... It should really be a holiday here!! PS love the stamps too! Especially the Pueblo art of New Mexico... I've been to the Taos Pueblos there! :)
Response: So glad you like the card and the stamps. I love the stamps almost as much as postcards. I like to buy older stamps online. I think it ads to the card. Go Tigers!

Comment: Thanks for the great cards. Love them. I did not have any of them. I did have two other West Virginia but not the same. Of course, I love lighthouses. They will to my collection. Happy swapping, Linda
Comment: Thank you for the map postcard. I own Drowing Ruth but I have not had a chance to read it yet. I might bump that up my TBR list. We are Liars and The Rosie Project are on my TBR list as well. I hope you are having a good day. Thank you again.
Response: Oh you must move up Drowning Ruth. I read it for a book club years ago and everyone I have loaned it to has loved it too. Did I also recommend Angry Housewives Eating Bon Bon's? Probably my absolute fav.
Comment: I so love the foxes you sent me! Even if they are digging in the trash! LOL Lately I love foxes more and more. I see them in my neighborhood in people's lawns, probably because we have a booming rabbit population here. I feel bad for the bunnies but the foxes are so mysterious and stunning when one surprises me in person.
Comment: Julie, I loved your postcards! For one, I love WV and those pictures brought took me to that beautiful, peaceful countryside. The little yorkie postcard is going out to my friend today who happens to have a new little girl named 'Pixie'. Thanks so much!
Response: How great! I'm glad you can share the yorkie card with a friend! Thanks for the nice comments and heart!
Comment: Hi Julie! TY for the lovely pc! I love waterfalls! Will your son be able to live at home or will you be starting an empty nest? That first one leaving home is sooo dang hard! Wishing the best for all of you! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Thank you so much for the beautiful postcards. Is the theme coffee?... breakfasts?... yummies?... I was drooling, looking at each card. Thanks again - and - Super thanks for joining my little swap. Hope it proved to be a nice swap for you. Oh! - and those Vintage stamps you used! Wow! I'm not tossin' them - They are a keeper. Super thanks for those, too. Happy day to you.
Response: Hi! Yes. Coffee was the theme. I am glad you like the stamps. I've been buying lots on ebay at below face value and they add a lot to the cards I think. Thanks so much for your nice comments. I really appreciate it.
Comment: Hi Julie, fancy meeting you here! I think we've partnered before. I have not had as much snow as you have, but I am also ready for Spring. This week it is in the 60s and 70s but as fate would have it I seem to be coming down with a bad cold. Drat! I hope your week is going better.
Response: Sorry you are not feeling well. All of our snow has melted and we have warmed up in to the 60's for a few days! LOVE it! Have taken my pups for several walks. Love the fresh air. Julie
Comment: Had to wait for the other card to figure out which this was from! ROFL! LOVE the hummingbirds, and I have a redheaded daughter and granddaughter, although they're aunt and niece, not mother and daughter. Cool about your dad and your hubby! <3
Response: Sorry if the card wasn't labeled and unclear? I am usually pretty good at that but nobody's perfect, right? My two kids and hubby are red heads. First real boyfriend in high school was a red head so I think I have a soft spot for them since. Thanks for the nice comment.
Comment: LOVE this PC - I love books and now have bookcases in all 4 bedrooms, the hallway and the livingroom... and there are still boxes and boxes and boxes of books stored away that I would love to display too! My teen crush was Michael J. Fox - oh Alex P. Keaton, *sigh*. Thanks for making me smile and have a great day!
Comment: Thank you so much for the great card! I miss having dogs so much! Over the years I had 5 rescues- all adopted as seniors, so they could have good twilight years. :-) You're an awesome person for taking care of your two furkids!
Comment: Thanks for the great West Virginia map - I love it! Sadly, I've never been there, only Virginia (and just a very small part of that). I can imagine how beautiful the fall foliage is in a state where the state tree is a sugar maple - their color is so bright and beautiful!
Comment: Thanks Julia for these map cards. I find it amazing how a person thinks they have all of the different maps and then along comes some new ones. These were both new for me. Thanks! I enjoy swapping with you in the 50 states club also.
Comment: Thank you so much for the wonderful postcard! I've always wanted to explore West Virginia! I'm sure there are so many things to do and see there that it would be impossible to cover them all in 5 years! May your Winter end soon and your Spring be full of adventures! <3 :D
Comment: Thank You for the awesome post card and yes I'm tired a lot! But I think since I found out that I have Crohn's Disease, it has made me enhoy the little things and my creative outlets help me deal with the stress!
Comment: Thanks for sending my favorite year-round bird, the Cardinal! :oD Since I moved 30 miles farther NW, I haven't seen any. At my house, I had tons of them. Did you know they've been known to live up to 32 years?
Dogs are my very favorite animal, but I no longer have any, as I can't properly exercise one anymore. Besides, my apartment building only allows one cat.
These days I'm waving at the deer who come to browse only 50 feet from my bedroom! Whatever floats your boat, right? ;oP
Response: Right! I love all the creatures that I see every day. WV has more of them than people! Glad you liked the card. It is one of my very favorites.
Comment: Thanks for the Cleveland card, Julie! Tell me about the Molokai and Honolulu books--are they by the same author? I have to been to Molokai, though it was a long time ago. We rode mules down cliffs to the Father Damian leper colony.
Response: You are welcome! Glad you like the card. Yes both books are by the same author. Molokai is about how it was a leper colony and one girls journey living there. Honolulu is about the growth of that city and the history a bit. I think it is set in the 40's or 50's. I loved them both.
Comment: Thanks for the card & old stamps! My favorite place in Michigan is Macanaw (sp?) island. We had such fun there ages ago before we had kids!
Response: I LOVE Mackinac Island. Such a different, throw back kind of place that never really changes. Same today as when I was a kid. Love the way only bikes and horses are allowed. Glad you like the card and stamps! I'm new here so it makes me happy I may be doing this all correctly and making people happy:)
