As far as suggestions for Savannah visit here are a few: Plant Riverside District (River Street, downtown), City Market (downtown), the squares are always nice to walk in the summer, Clarey's Cafe (from the movie - Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil), Poe's Tavern (personal favorite restaurant downtown), Broughton St. shopping. I cannot ever get enough of hatch chiles!! Thanks for sharing the little poem too :) I hope you all had a lovely holiday season.
Response: Wow! I bet that was an adventure, hope the weather gods were good to you. Funny story: I used to love green Chile cheeseburgers or green Chile stew. Haven't had any since I discovered I was allergic to Green Chile many, many years ago. Going to the grocery stores in the fall is a challenge with all the green Chile roasting. Gotta hold my breath and run into the store. I look pretty silly! There is a store here in Albuquerque, that will ship frozen Chile. But I buy the powdered version and send it to friends. We have been to the Kennedy memorial and toured inside the book depository where Lee Harvey Oswald was when he shot out at Kennedy. We keep saying we're going to go back and see more of the tourist attractions but since my sister moved out of Dallas to about 3 hours away from there we just never seem to get back into town. I guess we'll have to plan that for this summer. Before the pandemic we came to Albuquerque and loved it. We accidentally showed up just in time for the balloon festival. My family lived in ABQ when I was 1-5, then Roswell for 1 year, El Paso for 2, then back to Roswell - so I consider Roswell my "home town" (even though I haven't lived there since 1987). Comment: I love the tulips, thank you! Perfect for this time of the year. The tulips I planted last fall aren't in bloom, yet, but it won't take much longer, I guess. Right now yours are standing on the window sill right next to me, but I think I'll put them on the dining table. :) They really make me smile. Also, thank you for the stickers! Everything you sent, handmade card, tags, beautiful card stock halves in FANTASTIC COLORS, the handmade items in fabric, and 2 coloring pages are things I can use as I move along. You also sent a lovely note. I always write a handwritten note when I send out my swaps. I think it makes each swapper feel I care. It was GREAT to receive a package from Albuquerque. I moved to Colorado Springs in February of 2021. I came up to be closer to family as I have many illnesses and they are definitely been a challenge. Just Now, in one week or so, I’m having a Total Knee Replacement. It will be a year to make the total circle around to a knee that will not hurt again. I lived in Albuquerque for more than 40 years. It was the first place that felt like home and I always share that Albuquerque is my home. I hope we have further opportunities to swap with one another.
