Comment: Thank you for a super, cooolio postcard aaaaaaaaaand stamp! I dont think I've ever rcvd a material covered postcard before! My first! Yay! Just keep in mind, I just heard from commentator on my radio show no one wants pennies or healthy snacks. lolololol
Comment: Love the unique "goodies" - so happy to see it arrive today. Thank you! That giant butterfly on the envie is great!! I also. LOVED seeing all the "old" (unused) postage stamps on the envelope! Had to show my students!
Response: Just bought a bunch of old stamps from a daughter of a collector and am enjoying using them (although feeling a little guilty...). Hope to get you again to send you more! Thanks for the rating & heart!
Comment: Thanks for the Halloween card and the papers!
Response: I'm certain I had sent a replacement but this may have been the original that got lost - it already had the postage on it so I figured I'd send it anyway - you got a trick and a treat!
Thanks for the rating!
Comment: Hey, fellow Floridian!! I always love swapping with my "neighbors". How funny that you commented on all the doubles in my name - I always thought that, too! Yet I never noticed them in my address, LOL. Maybe I *do* need to head to the casinos! ;-)
Comment: Fabulous. Three months from now, a post called "Intervention" - Jen, every single person who was ever on Swapbot, even those who have died, has received an ATC with a cake theme. Enough already!" Because I already have about 20 ideas how to use that GORGEOUS stamp for ATCs! Also, I love the little instruction booklet, and think I may have to consider purchasing the whole thing. In the meantime, excellent advice and I can imagine doing a zine with some of these as quotes or even cut and pasted. I LOVE the other stuff, too, and the project life card will be perfect to do a flip book about my daughter's graduation - one that I can give her or keep myself. Probably give her. Or make dupes. Anyway, awesome swap, thank you for your generosity!
Comment: Thank you for the great postcard of the Adzara Hotel.
Response: I happened upon some amazing foreign postcards, and I have no idea where the majority of them are from! The photos are absolutely stunning, and I'm happy to share them. Thanks for the rating and the heart!
Comment: Thanks for this great PC and funny quote! I have driven down the west coast and up the east coast. Took the Express from Ft Myers down to Key West. My sister lives in Venice. Hugs from Alaska, Sherry
Comment: Thank you for sharing such a poignant and well-told story! Wow -- I will be thinking about that story for a while. (And thank you for the goodies, too! OMG, I had those shell notecards when I was a kid. What a blast from the past to see one again!)
Comment: Hi Christine! Thank you for the postcard- I'm happy to hear you love cats too! And I'm also happy to hear that the baby alligators on the postcard are not your pets!! :). Although they are cute in their own way!
Response: Saw a couple of baby possums in the front yard a few nights ago - I think just about ANY baby is cute! LOL Thanks for the rating and the heart!
Comment: Hello! Got your postcard :] Thanks for messaging me by the way! If you still do the resend ill let you know when I receive the other one. I have never seen that show either but I liked the quote! Thank you
Response: I just couldn't resist using those cards - got a few of those in a box of pcs I bought off ebay and had never seen ones like that before - thanks for the rating & heart!
Comment: Hi Christine, it's snowing today but the mail person delivered your lovely fabric PC to me. I'm awestruck, it's so fabulous...it's just amazing to me, I love everything about it and this is a very special kind of mail love, so thank you so much for your generous re-send. Blessings and have joy.
Response: Just LOVE that scene from the Nightmare Before Christmas! Glad you like your little girl - thanks for the rating and the heart!
Comment: This is one of the coolest postcards I've ever received! Was this a stiff form of fusible webbing? Just loved, loved, loved it! Bravo and a million hearts!
Response: Yes, Pellon fusible core. I'm experimenting with tapestry fabric samples now and hope to find more swaps I can use them in as they're turning out beautifully! Thanks for the kind comments, the rating and the million hearts! <3 =)
Comment: Christine, thank you for the Washington state map postcard. Shirley 2/13 It looks like the first WA postcard got here and now I have 2 from WA state, but they are both different. Thank you for re-sending. Shirley
Response: Frigid Washington sent from sunny south Florida - LOL! Thanks for the rating and the heart!
Comment: Thanks for the goodies! I love those metallic gel pens you used. I haven't seen the calendar pages before, how fun! People are sure going crazy for coloring! = ) P.S. I collect Swap cards, thanks!
Response: Thanks for the rating and the heart! I LOVE those pens - color every morning before I even get out of bed! LOL
Comment: Thanks for the great PC! I love painting postcards!
Response: I was lucky enough to get a few in a lot I got off Ebay, as well as a bunch from the person's extensive travels - fascinating to go through and fun to bless others with! Thanks for the rating and the heart!
Comment: A million hearts! Thank you for this swap, and I so appreciate your patience with my messages about it getting lost. The extra PCs are very much appreciated, and the owl, homemade card is very much loved. Thank you!
Response: I've started experimenting with tapestry samples on those cards with fantastic results! I'm hoping to find more swaps that will let me use them. So glad you like it! Thanks for the rating and the heart!
Comment: Thank you so much for the answers you sent me. I totally agree about cats and ornaments... Been there done that :) Merry Christmas!
Response: My cats and I tend to agree the best ornaments are made from fleece, filled with catnip and scattered about on the floor since that's where they'll end up anyway! Thanks for the rating and the heart, and merry Christmas!
Comment: I enjoyed reading all of your answers. I also shop year round and have a set wrapping paper for each of my kids
Response: One year my daughter opened an Easter-dressed porcelain doll...oops! I loved forgetting what they were going to get and was often as surprised as they were. Thanks for the rating and the heart!
Comment: I love your positive attitude and the way you use it to brighten other people's day!
Response: Yesterday I went to a day-long seminar and at the end pulled out all my "loved" gel pens, explained that I had a new pack wanting to come out and play and offered them to everyone for Christmas - it was great seeing the eagerness and excitement as they found their favorite colors! Thanks for the rating and heart, and merry Christmas!
Comment: That's funny! My sister lives in Michigan & she sent me photo's. Don't think I ever seen such a thick blanket of snow! Take care & Happy Holiday's!
Response: When we were kids, my brothers and I would climb to the peak of the roof on the house and jump off into the snow drifts! About 2 stories up - that's how deep the snow would get! Thanks for the rating and the heart!
Comment: I love the art style of the fireplace card you sent and the random calendar page you sent was cool too... firstly because it's a coloring page but also coincidentally it's my brother's birthday (Feb 24) :D ♥
Response: I love when Karma puts her two cents worth in and we get little joyful happenings like that! Best of all: you have enough time to finish the page and frame it for him! LOL Thanks for the rating & the heart - merry Christmas!
Comment: My stars! Christine, the card you sent me is filled with goodness - thank you for the sweet extras (the image to color, the swype cloth and the wise words about how easy it is to perform random acts of kindness). Love it all!!
Comment: Thank you Christine for the card and the extra surprises!! The coloring calendar page is perfect for my desk to doodle on while I'm on the phone and the cleaning cloth in my drawer handy for when I need it!! Merry Christmas to you and your family!!
Response: I wanted to share a little of my wonderful gel pens but still give something to entertain - glad you like the goodies! Thanks for the heart and rating!
Comment: Hi Christine. I am so sorry that I am rating you this late. I was sure I already rated you. I love your quilting! I decided to keep the sewn postcard and I abandoned the quilt square. I left it at my church. It took a while for someone to pick it up (I think they thought it belonged to someone) but it was finally gone. I sure wish I knew who took it...I was hoping that I would see them pick it up. Thank you again for the lovely work. I am sure there is someone who is enjoying it as much as I did.
Comment: Thank you for sharing your essentials and the beautiful seashell card -- I have never been beachcombing (although I have been to the beach :) I love Pink Lady apples with PB, too, and my rotary cutter is an MVP among my paper/craft arsenal. Happy Monday! <3
Response: Don't know what I would do without my rotary cutter - I teach kids how to quilt and cut literally hundreds of blocks each month! Thanks for the rating and the heart!
Comment: Belated, belated thank you for the colorful, charming Florida state map, adorable gardening-related stickers, and your kind message! I thought I was up-to-date rating, but I am now finding mail that was mislaid by family members. Hope you are having a good fall! <3
Response: So happy to find out that I'm not the only one that happens to! LOL Thanks for the rating and heart - glad you liked your goodies!
Comment: Thank you so much for the amazing handmade postcard! It really brightened my day. I thought it was so cute.
I'm sorry to hear you can't get to HHN :( It is nice to be relatively close- my mom is coming up from Ft. Lauderdale.
Response: So glad you like it - thanks so much for the rating and the heart!
Comment: This was a wonderful package! The shells have been added to my collection, the pirate wipe cloths made me smile, the anchor charms are very cool. And I loved the mug rug colors, and I've been wanting one of the glass floats for ages now so was so excited to open that up. Thanks so much!
Response: Hurray! I could have picked up a random bag of shells, but I chose each one of those from the individual bins. The straight ones sound like they'd make beautiful wind chimes...so glad you like your package - thanks for the rating and the heart!
Comment: Thanks for all these beautiful postcards! I love them all and thanks for the bonus one as well! It will be fun to color! Please be safe from the storm! We have a typhoon on its way here!!! Hugs from Alaska, Sherry
Response: The news broadcasts made it out to be much worse: thank God we had no damage to life nor limb (except for the neighbor's small tree)! We left the area and just got back Saturday night so I'm behind on a couple of swaps but I hope my partners understand. Stay safe!!!
Comment: Hey, this is very cute. I love the original design. I also love your school of fish on the back of the package. thank you!
Response: I was hoping you'd get the "school" reference, and I'm glad you did! LOL The fabrics were representing today's dry erase boards with the letters and a throwback to the old dusty chalkboards of old. Thanks for the rating and the heart!
Comment: Thank you for the washi and seeds! I will be sure to plant them next year, in the spring. I have tried to plant forget-me-nots before but they never grew...
Hopefully this time I'll be more successful!
Response: I figured once I read your profile that I had found the perfect mama for those seeds! Hope your Forget-me-nots make it next year! Thanks for the rating and the heart!
Comment: Thanks for the wonderful read of questions and answers, I giggled a few times...I get in enough trouble in a fabric store alone...defiantly don't need another me to egg me on there! lol So totally loved that answer!
Response: Glad you enjoyed my list - thanks so much for the heart and rating!
Comment: Ahhhh! Thank you for the adorable manatee (Calming Manatee is a favorite site :), stamp assortment, and for your message -- glad you are also including the temperature icon :) Happy almost-fall -- hoping for a shift in the weather soon ;)
Response: You got me started on that with the temp - thanks! And thanks for the rating & the heart!
Comment: The requirement for this postcard was, "You will be sending your partner one naked/written/stamped postcard with a little blurb about how a simple word of encouragement has touched you" You sent a postcard with a 4 word quote.
Update- Sept 16- thanks for the resend with the encouraging story!
Response: So sorry about the mis-read on my part - will be sending another your way. Thanks for the 5 rating!
Comment: Ahhh, belated thank you, thank you for the "unconventional" (non-Marvel/DC) superhero postcards, Christine! I especially loved the Sailor Moon one :) And the TMNT took me way back, as well. Hope you are having a good evening!
Response: Thanks for the kind words, rating & heart! Every day with happy mail is a great day!
Comment: Hello Christine,
Thank you for the postcard you created about summer. With this postcard you also introduced me to a new word and its meaning. This will be a nice addition to my Postcard Collection.
Response: Glad you like it! Thanks for the rating and the heart!
Comment: I love the fabric star postcard! Thank you so much!
Response: I'm so relieved! I had my mind on "pc swaps" so I followed suit with this one, then I re-read the parameters and was hoping this would work! The hostess assured me it qualified - I so happy you like it! Thanks for the rating and the heart!!!
Comment: Thanks for your comment, yes, I had some not so easy swaps, living in the great big city of Chicago, the mail doesnt run as well as other cities. I seen the flowers in the attic movie, Petals in the Wind, and MySweet Audrina, movies, i was not impressed with them, but, at least i got to sit by the t.v and eat popcorn. Lol that was the bright side of it. Hope your summer is going well so far.
Response: After they killed off the mom, I felt there wasn't any point in watching anything else in the series. They could have followed the book a LOT more closely, but it seemed they wanted to wrap everything up fast instead of doing all four books/movies. But I agree, there was popcorn involved! LOL Thanks for the rating and the heart!
Comment: Loved the old shoe ad! Even on Tinted paper! Thank you Christine! Loved the aloha shirt as a stamp! Thank you Christine!
Response: Walked into the post office one day as someone was trying to sell those beauties back to them, but of course they couldn't buy them. I could and did!!! Never saw those before and absolutely love them! Only have about a dozen left now. Thanks for the heart and rating!!!!
Comment: I just found this postcard as I was going thru a box that I found in my living room. Sorry for not rating you sooner.
You'll love NYC. Of course I'm a bit bias since I've never been lived on 10 aces though
Response: Thanks for the rating and heart. I've done that, too - found a card or pc in a school tote bag or box. No worries! =)
Comment: I loved reading your answers! This has to be my favorite swap I've done so far. I felt like I really got to know you through all of the questions and answers. Thank you for the letter, I really appreciate it.
Response: Thanks! It was a lot of fun to be able to pick and choose instead of having to answer all. And I just kept going after I hit 20. Not sure how many I answered. Thanks for the rating and the heart!
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful beach view -- my old debit card in college had a similar vista, and the cashiers at the local French bakery used to joke that it was their next vacation spot :) -- colorful clownfish and seaweed sticker, and peaceful blue washi! I also really appreciate the Gandhi quote! My apologies for the tardy rating -- it's been a busy, stressful week filled with pet abduction and recovery (I am still furious/upset at the neighbor responsible for this), lots of cooking and baking, community events, and out-of-town guests. Happy weekend!
Response: You sound as though you have the same schedule as me! LOL So glad your fur-baby is back! <3 Thanks for the rating and the heart...<3
Comment: Christine, you did an amazing job with this swap. I was so drawn in to your story about your copper bracelet! Your thoughtfulness about the origins of something you received as a child are so wise and wonderful. I love the quote as well--empathy is such a gift. Thanks, also, for the FANTABULOUS postcards you sent! What an absolute treat.
Response: Aw, you're quite welcome! So many of these swaps bring back wonderful memories, don't they? Glad you like the postcards. Thanks for the heart and the rating! <3
Comment: Oh WOW! This was worth the wait! I loved reading your daily adventures. When do you find time to do swaps? The fact that you made the journal is great. Even my hubby commented on it. The necklace is greatly appreciated - you picked the items in there perfectly. My one question is, when do you find time to do swaps. Enjoy life, and thanks again.
Response: Did you notice the baby blue and baby pink gems for your little ones? I scoured your profile to see what would fit! And to answer your question, sometimes I just have to squeeze everything in, but swap-bot.com is my guilty little pleasure as we rarely (you can tell) go out on the town or travel. So happy you like everything! Thanks for the heart and the rating! <3
Comment: I almost for go to rate! Thanks for the post card! It seems like everyone is reading something good right now!
Response: Only when I have time to read - LOL! And there are times I lose a book, find it months later and pick right up again (maybe go back a few pages to refresh my memory, but it all comes back!). Thanks for the rating and the heart!
Comment: Oh my gosh, this postcard is amazing! Thank you so much! It's my first fabric postcard I have ever received so I love it! I love the print that you used :-) I hope you have a wonderful and Happy Valentine's day filled with love! :)
Response: The fabrics are so fabulous for Valentine's Day. It's not easy to settle on just one...thanks for the heart and rating!
Comment: Wow, what a creative idea to make a mini-journal from playing cards! There was one entry in your journal I particularly enjoyed...your hubby did something nice and you wrote "What a man!" and do not think I did not notice this was written on the King of Hearts card! Blessing & peace in this new year, Tess (TraceyHepburn)
Response: So glad you liked them! And of course that was intentional...LOL Thanks for the heart and rating!
Comment: Christine....oh how you made my day!!! This postcard is absolutely AWESOME!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! I would be happy to send you some real snow (we have waaaaaay too much!) I love the stitch you used around the edge. THANK YOU soooooo much for an amazing swap!! Hugs and snowflakes...Charlene
Response: Aw, so glad you like the card! Those are so much to make. Thanks for the rating & heart!
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful Blessings at Christmas card. The inside is just as pretty as the outside. I love what you wrote inside also. It's always hard to find the right thing to say. I hope your holidays are blessed.
Response: So happy you like it! Have a great holiday season. =) Thanks for the heart and the rating!
Comment: Hi Christine! Thank you so much for the sweet Christmas card and goodies! Hard to believe the holidays are almost here - yikes! Where the heck did the year go? Looking forward to seeing are card angel fill up though, it makes me so happy to get Christmas cards!! Merry Christmas to you and yours! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Response: I love Christmas but for some weird reason the last couple of years have been experiencing the post-holiday blues long before Christmas has arrived! Love the cards, too - they help. LOL Thanks for the rating & the heart!
Comment: Thank you Christine for the lovely fabric envelope you made for me! I will definitely be using it quite soon! Also love the fabric postcards you made! Still trying to make some that look good - haven't mastered it yet!!
Response: I LOVED the way those fish lined up on the bag! I am hoping to get a chance to make another for me that matches! Thanks for the rating & the heart!
Comment: Hi Christine! Thanks so much for the thoughtful share! I really enjoyed reading your responses - that procrastination thing, well I think if is in most folks! Sigh! If anyone is offended by your lovely paper, well they need to get a life - seriously!! Thanks for making my day! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Response: Thanks for the heart and the rating - glad you enjoyed my ramblings! LOL
Comment: Thanks for a card with a joke.
Everyone celebrates my Halloween birthday. My costume is my birthday suit. LOL!!
Response: Too funny! One of our quilter's is also a Halloween baby and I gave her a witch on a broomstick charm for her necklace - of course she loved it as it matched the witch's hat she was wearing! LOL Thanks for the heart and the rating!
Comment: Thanks for the great Florida PC! I love that your kitty was trying to help you while you were writing it. Mine frequently does that too, but since she weighs almost 20#, I have to stop what I am doing! LOL My sister lives in FL. She loves the heat and I love the cold. Hugs from Alaska, Sherry
Response: Kitty's good at typing and making phone calls, too (or at least setting my phone fax to pickup - grrr). With my hot flashes, I'd love to be in Alaska! Thanks for the rating & the heart!
Comment: Thank you for a wonderful and varied selection of PCs and for the extras you sent. I really liked the bridge PC - what a great shot!! Thanks again for everything and have a wonderful weekend ~~
Response: The bridge wasn't covered but I thought it was an awesome piece of architecture - glad you like it! Thanks for the rating & the heart!
Comment: love this - did you use an adhesive to make the fabric go on so flat? Loved it thanks
Response: The base is a two-sided fusible stock from Joann's. If you make some, be sure to put the white/light underneath then the colorful on top before ironing, otherwise you could end up ironing the fusible to your ironing board! LOL They're super fun to make! Thanks for the rating and the heart!!! <3
Comment: Thanks for the great cards! I'm having trouble with the heat in WV and hot flashes I can't' imagine being in FL!
Response: As you can imagine, our a/c units get a workout! I have wall units so I only have to use one in whatever room I'm in - MUCH cheaper! Glad you like the cards - thanks for the rating and the heart!
Comment: I loved the pc's and pumpkin papers, thank you! The note was great too. As you said, FINALLY someone who's watched Vincent Price films, let alone The Tingler :D His Edgar Allen Poe stuff seems to be the most popular, and House on Haunted Hill. I just go into creep mode when I see his films haha. I originally saw Tingler on demand luckily enough. We do have a station here that procasts old horror films on MeTV, hosted by a man called Svenghoully! Sounds very similar to your former Ghoul show, so neat!
Response: I watch Svenghoully, too! Saw the episode when he got his latest casket - very cool because they also showed the original Svenghoully from I think the 70's - I believe this one is the third - kinda like the Doctor! LOL Thanks for the rating & the heart!
Comment: WOW!!! The handmade fabric post cards are beautiful. I don't know if I will use them or frame hem. I was thinking at least one might need to go in a display with some wonderland themed items. Thank you for such a beautiful fun swap
Response: Loved the way they turned out - only two flamingo prints in the entire store and one was flannel! LOL So glad you're happy with them! Thanks for the rating and the heart <3
Comment: Thank you, Christine, for the fun purple packet ! It is perfect! Love the washi to add to my stash and the pens, yay! Love the pencil bag and pencils. Unlike a lot of people, I DO use pencils quite a bit so that's fun too!
Response: So glad you like your goodies! Since I love purple & teal, too, it was fun searching for things to stuff into the envelope! Thank you for the rating & the heart!
Comment: Wow it's beautiful! I can't wait to start using it!
Response: I make wine totes the same way and sell them locally for $15 each. I created the "pattern" and love to see how each turns out - now I've starting to use men's ties for the handle on some smaller tote - they're turning out great! Thanks for the great swap, the rating and the heart!!!
Comment: I enjoyed reading your answers and would love to see what a Dr. Seuss Heuss looks(ed) like. I did a search and nothing came up.
Response: I have searched for the longest time and can't find it - I wish I had pictures! I could draw up a sketch of it, though. So weird when you can remember something and NOT find it on Google - like Vision On, a tv show we used to watch about 40+ years ago designed for deaf kids. Thanks for the rating & heart!
Comment: Thank you for my orange and lilac pocket letter. It was the first pocket letter I've ever received, so it was extra special to open. I loved the story you shared in your letter about the hand written recipe cards you found at an estate sale. What a great find!
Response: Thanks for the rating and the heart - while orange and lilac are my two favorite colors (and scents), it was surprisingly difficult to put this one together. Glad you like it - I'm a newbie with these and am delighted I made you happy!
Response: I was going to look for something traditional, but when I ran across that one, the look on her face could only have been "pondering"! Glad you like her, and thanks for the rating & the heart!
Comment: Super cute! Thank you so much! I love it all!
Response: The neon pencils were the last pack they had and VERY hard to give up! I sure hope they stock them again - I would love to pick up some for myself! Glad you like your goodies - thanks for the rating and the heart!
Comment: Woohoo, I finally figured out which swap your postcard went to (been in so many pc swaps and cat swaps at that!). You have quite a family of kitties - hope they are all doing well this summer, and you too! Take care!
Response: I got caught up in the postcard landslide, too - what fun! Thanks for the rating and the heart - sorry I wasn't clear on which swap - don't know HOW I missed that! LOL
Comment: OMG!!! i totally love it!!! so cute, & i was just pulling into my driveway thinking, i need to get a band aid on my thumb nail (damaged for several months). this is my very first one to receive so it will hold a special place for me. thank you so much. looking forward to swapping more of these, they are just too addicting aren't they.
Response: How funny - and would you believe you're the first person I've ever sent those to? They are SO cute! Thanks for the rating & the heart - hope you've healed by now! LOL
Comment: Thanks for the great cards. Especially like the one form Virgin Islands. I believe it is the first one from there for me and I have nearly 6000 cards! Loved the Christmas story. Our family all gathered at a cabin in Tenn last Thanksgiving just to get us all together and to have a lest hectic day. I can so associate with that story. Thanks!
Response: The VI card was in my stash and when I read your profile, I had to send it! Glad it was a first for you! Thanks for the rating and the heart!
Comment: Your tutorial was lots of work posting separate. It took me awhile, but finally figured out how to view it! I have a mac and some times, the translation doesn't always work for me. Love that the grommets are already there in the fabric samples!
Response: The grommet factor is MAJOR when making those totes - otherwise they'd be way too expensive of a project! You can tell I'm not a blogger... Thanks so much for the rating and the heart!!!
Comment: love the homemade postcard , thanks so much for sending , I only had one smiley but I am sure other read them , maybe they weren't allowed to write on them , but I hope others joined in then fun ! great swap would love to join another one .
Response: I had 0 on the one I received - maybe they aren't as interested in our mail as we had hoped! LOL Thanks for the rating & the heart!
Comment: I like your answers to the questions. Thanks for added treats, the post card and your business card, I think. Nice messages on it---
Response: The "business card" is just a happy card I print up and hand out. Ideas came from operationbeautiful.com if you want to check them out. Just trying to spread a little happiness so feel free to pass it on if you like! <3 Thanks for the rating and the heart!
Comment: Your postcard was absolutely beautiful and so well sewn. My fabric cards never turn out that smooth and "finished" look. Lovely. Thank you so much. And yes- I am only two miles from the Bull Run Battlefield from the Civil War.
Response: Then the choice of fabric was appropriate! Glad you like it - I love making them and am happy when they find loving homes! =) <3
Comment: Whoa, these are totally awesome!!! I so don't sew but these make me want to! And the little extras are fun too. Thanks for making this swap so special. I plan to send one PC to my pen pal who loves to quilt. She'll be surprised!
Response: They are so fun to make and so addictive! I'll make 5 or 10 in an evening just to unwind. So glad they make you happy! Thank you for the heart and the rating! <3
Comment: Wonderful answers. Lucky you growing up in a home where everything was homemade I am sure you had the best meals ever. You and I both wanted to hear the same song....Happy by Pharrell. Sorry for the long rating but your Indian food story made me laugh. I cannot try anything with spice as I have a hernia so you ate more than I would have....lol
Response: My mom was always my hero: I felt less of a mom because I couldn't do what she did: made all our clothes, grew an acre-sized garden every year: she was Wonder Woman to me! <3 Thanks for the rating & the heart!
Comment: It was super fun reading your letter! Lucky you for getting to look so young. I liked how you decorated the envie too and the little surprises for the destash. This was a wonderful swap, Thank you!!
Response: Thanks for the rating and the heart! I nearly forgot the destash - that's why the envelope was opened then taped shut! LOL Glad you enjoyed this swap!
Comment: Thank you for the Happy Mail. I love the stickers of the keys/bike/birds etc especially and the HAPPY embellishment will have to be used for a handmade card for sure! Have a wonderfully happy day today and always!
Comment: Thank you for the swap! ~ That sleepy owl paper clip is beyond awesome - So cute! My son happened to be here and saw it - He said he'd never seen anything like it (neither have I) and thought it was fabulous, too. Thanks again - Happy day to you.
Comment: Huge apology for late rating, I only just found your answers in my junk folder!!!
Thank you so much for sharing, and I just LOVE your idea of opening hotels for homeless. I do charity work with the homeless, and it's something I really feel passionate about, as it can happen to anyone. No.10 was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!! Scary for you, but such a brave character! Bravo. The school thing sounds awful, the thought of my child (which i don't have yet lol) being taught like that scares the crap out of me. You think this generation would be freedom of expression, not depression.
Response: Thanks for the rating and the heart! My daughter lives in Atlanta and has made/handed out nearly 100 scarves to the homeless. She tries to see the good she's done and not be overwhelmed with hopelessness: there are an estimated excess of 2,000 homeless just in downtown Atlanta, and MANY are families with children!
Comment: Christine, thank you SO MUCH for the neat fabric pc! Wow . . . so unique. Thanks, too, for your memory. I have packed cookies in the past at church to go to people in the armed forces . . . I always felt good about it.
Comment: Thank you for the mug rug and the extras. I like the weaving look of the mug rug.
Response: I liked the way that turned out so much that I'm making a couple more with other fabrics, but sadly I forgot to take a picture of yours. I love the butterfly! So glad you like it! <3 Thanks for the heart.
Comment: Hi Christine! Thank you for such a wonderful swap! I loved reading your thankful list! Thank you for the fabric postcard. AWESOME!!! And I love the angel Grattitude card. Thank you for the sweet little extras! :)
Response: So glad you like the card! I had "5" on the brain and instead of writing 5 things, I made 5 cards instead! LOL At least I've had extras to pass along this month, so it's all good. :)
Comment: Wow! Thank you so much for sending me a DVD! You are the first person to send me one and I appreciate it so much! I have seen it but a long time ago and I am looking forward to watching it again! You totally made my day and I wish I could give you 100 hearts!!!
Response: Chicago is one of my all-time favorites and although it wasn't listed on your profile, I thought you would enjoy it! It's one of those I can put on and listen to while doing housework and know exactly what's happening on the tv.
Comment: Sweet Queen of Buttons! That is my new self appointed name! Thank you so much! LOVE LOVE LOVE the buttons! They will certainly be put to good use! I will have bracelets coming out of my wazoo! :-) Your silver sharpie rocks! I will certainly be using that! Thank you also for the hemp! That will also be put to good use! You mentioned zippers in your note but I didn't see any?? Perhaps you meant the hemp? In any case, a great package! Thank you so much. I appreciate it when people read my profile in such depth! And yes, I do consider the buttons quality! :-)
Response: LOL I was going to throw in some zippers but saw the hemp and worked at fitting that in, carefully sealed the box, turned around and found the zippers laughing at me. Since they were the one thing I didn't pick specifically from your profile, I let it go. Then I re-read and saw we were supposed to send 4 different things (at least), and I couldn't remember how many I sent, but looks like you're satisfied with what you received. So glad I made you happy! I would love to see your bracelets and what you make from the buttons! Have a super day! <3 Thanks for the heart!
Comment: You are AMAZING! I absolutely loved everything you sent. The necklace is beautiful, the books are awesome but my favorite thing you sent was this verse: Genesis 29:20, because it reminded me that some things are worth waiting for. You package was extra-special to me - A THOUSAND STARS for you and bright shining hugs and well wishes. You are wonderful!
Response: Aw, thanks! Glad you like the gifties I picked out! <3 Thanks for the heart(s), too! <3
Comment: Have you already received your unicorn? I haven't, I'm pretty pissed about that. Seriously, you could expect a host to send out unicorns to all 123000 participants in less than 2 weeks, couldn't you? What a badly-organised swap! :D
Comment: AWESOME! I am so happy with your IDoll! I luv your upside down yensiD ! And the lil dragon is so cute! Our HS mascot!!!! I sewed the little end of the great tie in a point! It is beautiful & hubby will be wearing it to church Sunday!!! EVERYTHING IS BEAUTIFUL! Thanx, cc
Response: I am SO happy you like him and even more thrilled your hubby will get use out of that tie. I LOVELOVELOVE it and would have kept it for future projects but knew I'd misplace it. I'm so glad it'll get a lot of wear! <3
Response: Really a fascinating story but if the guy lived nowadays, he'd be locked up as a pedofile since he was after a 16 year old! He was a genius who apparently figured out the secrets of the pyramids...
Comment: Christine, thank you for the extra effort ! The irish blessing is perfect, I love it. The potholders are very impressive, love the colors, very good job on making them! Thank you for the who.le swap it made my day!
Comment: THANK you for the awesome Seamore! ;-) He is special and now wearing the gorgeous shell necklace you sent! ;-) I luv the hot pads too!!! But they are now on the turquoise table and serving as mug rug & doily under the little lamp!!!LOL...very pretty! Thanx so much for a REALLY SPECIAL SWAP!!! Blessings, cc
Comment: Thank you so much for the lovely card and Operation Beautiful tuck ins. I will put those in some library books when I return them!
Response: In library books...what a great idea! I leave them all over: I like leaving them at the Publix deli drink area and by the pharmacy. I used to get sticky notes and put them on mirrors in public bathrooms and in the pew pockets at church.
Comment: Thank you for the cute fairies Christmas card. I have never seen one like this. I loved your cat envie too. I thought the "You're unique!" cards were awesome too. Thank you,
Blessings on your Christmas, ellie
Comment: Christine, what a fabulous bunch of packages i have to look forward to opening for my 12 days of Christmas. I'm so excited and can't wait...it's hard to resist even taking a peek! I'll be sure to come back and thank you again as I have opened them all. I'm going to do them one day at a time...I love it that way! Merry Christmas dear. Well, I've begun to open my sweet little packages from you and so far I've gotten a wonderful note pad for my purse, a sweet little set of stickers for my crafting, a wonderful calendar for my purse, a little set of post it notes and most delightful of all is the special and beautiful little pink embroidered purse. Oh I just love it and I will enjoy carrying it for sure. Can't wait to open the rest.
Christine, I wanted to be sure and tell you thank you so very much. I wish I could give you a hundred hearts. You were so thoughtful and picked out things that I love and the most special of all was indeed the last like you said. I love the beautiful fabric lace pieces. What a find that was and I am already planning on how I'm going to incorporate them into some beautiful creations in this new year. Thank you honey so much, you're a jewel! I hope you find all your dreams come true in 2014!
Response: I had SO much fun putting those together: some are as instructed: dollar store type stuff - most are "better" goodies I chose to go with your profile likes, etc. Can't wait to find out what you think! <3
Comment: Hey! i got your gorgeous lil Christmas Carol Doll! She is hangin with the other Icicles;-) Fittin in fine ;-) I hope you are enjoying these swaps! Till we swap again! Merry Christmas & Blessings, cc
Comment: Hi Christine, loved your card & envie! And thanks for your lovely note re: your evolving Christmas traditions. I can relate to the changes & challenges to the giving over the Holidays as the years progress. Merry Christmas to you & your family!
Comment: Thank you for making my day. All the things I love... buttons, buckles, cute stickers, game pieces. And I really like the business card with the positive message. Can't wait to pass a couple of them on. What a great web site. thank you.
Comment: Amazing package ! Beautiful envelope with horses in the snow. The "Luminous Wind" backlit lady in white with by Jonathan Earl Bowser is a breath taking card. Thanks also for the lace sachet bag with the inspirational tuck ins and the stickers. I looked up Tree Free Greetings and thank you for that new marketplace.
Response: So happy you liked it! That makes MY day! <3
Comment: You truly made my day! The note card is so cute. I am very pleased to get the return address labels...I really needed them and these are wonderful. The envelope you used to send the swap is great, and I already have plans to use it in one of the things I make. Thank you for a very special swap!
Comment: Thank you sooo much! My favorite is the bone folder, beautiful sheet of paper and the beeswax. It must've been hard for a quilter to stuff an envelope for a paper crafter! You did a wonderful job. Again, thank you!
Response: I read your likes, printed them out them went through my stash...glad I did good!
