Comment: Love the beautiful PC! I wish my flowers looked so good; but they wouldn't since I pretty much ignore them!! Ha Ha! Cool that your flowers make you happy, they make me happy too, I'm just not a gardener! Thank you!
Comment: Sarah, thank you for the postcard of the beautiful lilacs. I miss them in the spring. The smell, oh, so heavenly. Where I live in North Carolina, they will not grow. They need cooler weather. Shirley
Comment: Thank you Sarah for the lovely card of those two percious cats! Love it! Yes, it does encourage one to go home and cuddle their cats! Here is to a beautiful Zen moment! Zen kitties! Hahaha! Enjoy!
Comment: The postcard is just perfect! I'm going to frame it and put it on the wall. Thank you so much! And I thought it was interesting that we had so many of the same items around us, right down to bobby pins! Oh, and the stamps are really neat :D
Comment: sarah! thanks bunches we are having 80 degree temps here ourselves and know our summers are gonna be a hot one. i wish temps could stay like70ish all year round! and the star wars card was well loved by me and micah
Response: Yuck -- I hear you! The 60s are perfect for me.
Comment: Sarah...you broke down may last name properly. It just looks intimidating but sounded out phonetically it is easy. It is definitely my conversation piece....whenever anyone sees it they make some kind of comment on it....thank goodness I have not had it my whole life. It was hard for all my in-laws to learn how to spell it when they went to school but my kids rose to the challenge and knew how to spell and write it before they started school!! Thanks for the fun PC...hugs, Charlene
Comment: Love the SF postcard! Had no idea about the park. I don't see where the hilly streets would be though, as it appears so flat. San Francisco is a wonderful place to visit - I know you will enjoy your trip. It was rainy and cold when I was there some years ago, but that didn't matter.
Comment: Thank you! I am a cat girl too BUT we rescued Lucy.... Didnt do an informed one. She is a COONHOUND! First Christmas we had her she t reed one of our cats! Lizzie was not impressed. Ended up giving our 2 to a friend who loved them.
Comment: Sarah, thank you for your picture of Hank. I had my tuxedo kitty for 16 years before she went blind and I didn't even know it. She was so miserable we had to put her down. Still miss my kitties but I am too old to have one now. There is no one that would take care of it if something happened. Shirley
Comment: You will get a laugh out of this...I certainly did...you sent me such a damaged postcard that the post office pulled it out and put it in one of their We Care bags that apologize for the damage!!! LOL Too funny!!! For the laugh and the vintage stamps you get a heart!
Comment: Wonderful postcard! What do you do while cat-sitting? I imagine I'd get so much knitting and crocheting done! And surfing the web! Have a great rest of the week!
Response: Well a good portion of the visit is litterboxes, feeding, watering plants, getting mail, etc. But then I sit with the cats and play or pet them. If I have time, I either read a book/magazine or play on my phone!
Comment: Hello Sarah,
Thank you for the 8 wash tape samples you sent me for this swap. each of the tapes were unique --meaning they were all new to me. my favorite tape you sent me is the all gold lace wash tape. . however, I will find use for each and every wash tape you sent me.
Comment: Hi Sarah! Love your bird pc! We went and looked for Bald Eagles over the weekend - it was awesome when we saw several!! Hope your weather has been better - it was in the 60's over the weekend and today the high has been 30 something - what the heck?? Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Thanks for the pretty feathers & petals card. I'm suffering with our temps in the 30's here! Don't know how you deal with the seriously cold weather in your area. Hope it gets balmier for us all soon.
Comment: When I read your note and then looked at the card, I almost peed myself laughing. Thank you so much for that! "It's so freezing here...Happy to be home with my cats" Picture on the front: a beautiful lady and 3 lions....hahahahahahha
Comment: OMG - that card was hilarious!! You find the best cards :) I hope you have a Merry Christmas. Thanks for the goodies & the recipe too. The Cheddar Chicken Salad sounds good. I will have to try it :)
Comment: Thank you so much! I'm looking forward to sitting down with Sugar and opening them. I think she's a little upset with me right now. Earlier she kept pulling the tree skirt out from under the tree so I weighted it down and I haven't seen her since.LOL!
Comment: Sarah, love the vintages looking Christmas card, I always love me some glitter! (: the Christmas tags are much appreciated, I'll be putting them to good use. Thank you and Merry Christmas! 🎄💕Debbie
Comment: Holiday greetings from Illinois,
Thank you for the neat card, tags, and recipe page. I just might try that Coffe Cake:-) you wrote my last name as Peterson, it's Patterson.
Merry Christmas & Happy Swapping too!🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲
Response: Ack! Sorry about that! Sometimes my hands just work faster than my brain. 🤦ðŸ¼â€â™€ï¸
Comment: Thank you for the cute little card. I wish you would have written something in it though. I enjoyed the pretty envie & the tags you sent were so cute. Thanks for the recipe too. Merry Christmas!
Comment: Super cool postcard! I've almost finished my tree, just need to finish the top, and add bows to the garland on the mantle, and at the mailbox and I'll be done. I got most of my gifts wrapped, but it seems every year the last few always get left until just before Christmas, lol!
Comment: OMG thank you so much.. or or should I say the kitties thank you very much.. I just opened the box and put it down thinking i would save it until Christmas.. no such luck, LOL they ripped open all their presents and are having a blast..thank you again and many hearts..Merry Christmas
Response: I'm so glad!!!! I hope they love everything!!! Meowy Catmas!!
Comment: Susan thank you for the lovely Christmas card. I was reading the Carrot Raisin Jar Bread Recipe which was so wonderful and then I turned the paper over and saw yet another great recipe. What a joy! Thank you, Shirley
Comment: thank you for such an amazing package!! The catnip sardines are a HUGE hit with the kitties. I wish I could attach a picture here to show you three of them all next to each other spazzing out on those little fishies
Response: I'm so glad they liked everything!!!! <3
Comment: Hi Sarah! Thanks for the fun Christmas pc! That works here since the guys are deer hunters! LOL! Not our best Thanksgiving but not the worst either - sometimes things just don't work out! Thanks for asking and I hope yours was enjoyable! Merry Christmas to you and yours! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Thank you for the great postcard.I love zazzle cards and i was pleased to finally get one. i was beginning to wonder if anyone else used them! may your holidays be filled with magic and wonder! Thanks again, you made me smile!
Comment: I have a friend who has a wishing bottle. The short version is it's a terrarium to put succulents and similar plants in and hang it in front of a very sunny window. Now sure why it's named that, but it may have to do with its shape?
Comment: Thanks for the great cityscape of San Francisco! I did live in Colorado for a short while when my oldest son was a wee bairn...it was gorgeous. So different from my mountains here in TN. So glad you got to visit Colorado.
Comment: I LOVE YOUR FOURSOME!!! I have a senior tuxedo tomcat that's deaf-blind (Marcello), a blind tortie (Kuki) and a three-legged calico (Sumi)! They're all ex-strays and -like you- I love them to bits. Love from us all to you and your bunch <3
Comment: I've been to Denver once...sort of. I stayed with a friend in Boulder on my way across the country. And I stoped at a cemetery in Denver to attempt to locate my great grandfather's grave. Turns out he never had a head stone. Anyway, this is a way awesome postcard. I love Dobby. It will be going on the wall of my office and listed in the group I run as my "high" from yesterday :)
Comment: I like the postcards you have sent me for this swap! My fav is the one from Hong Kong as this is the first one from that country for my collection but a close second is the one of Saint Andre de Modane from France :) Thanks for swapping!
Comment: I've been to 2 of the same tourist attractions that you've been to (Disneyland, Beverly Hills) but I used to live in California and only 2-3 hour drive from both, so it's not as impressive. Thank you for sharing!
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful Beauty and the Beast final stained glass window card! I saw the live-action version in March with some of my aunts and sister in Manila -- I still prefer the original animated film, since it was such a big part of my childhood, but it was a beautifully-done movie :)
Comment: 33! I referred to that as my "Jesus year" which actually made me feel like I just had not done enough with my life. I've moved on to feeling inadequate in different ways! Seriously though, happy birthday. My mid-thirties have been my favorites so far.
Comment: Ahhhh, the kawaii narwhal and black cat catching stars in a bucket =^______^= Thank you for this smile-inducing card and beautiful vintage postage; I hope you and your kittehs had a good, long, snuggly nap ♥
Comment: What a beautiful photo of this jellyfish! I share your feelings about them---they (this one anyway) remind me of hot air balloons deep in the sea. Thanks for parting with it as I think you really like the photo---he colors are so brilliant and at the same time, the fish is rather mesmerizing, to borrow your term.
Happy Swapping! PeggyO
Comment: I got your postcard today. Thank you so much. I have to admit that Tangled is one of my favorite newe Disney movies along with Moana and Home. I would highly recomment Home it is really cute. :)
Comment: Thank you for the Frozen gnomes card! I still need to see Moana, but I know I'll like Mr. Miranda's songs, the supporting voice cast, and the winsome Ms. Cravalho in the title role (from what I've seen/heard on last year's Oscars, commercials, etc.) I saw Frozen in fall 2013 with one of my best friends -- we were probably the oldest people in the theatre who weren't parents/chaperoning little girls dressed like Elsa and Anna. I honestly was a weepy mess at the end, and I found the songs catchy (I liked Avenue Q in high school when the show was new) and the main cast good (I've been an Idina Menzel admirer since high school, I love Santino Fontana's Broadway work, although I was disappointed and puzzled that Jonathan Groff didn't sing more), but I disliked some critical/fan claims that Frozen's selling power made it superior to Renaissance classics in the late 80s-90s. I am interested to see the Broadway adaptation, but there are other musicals and plays I would see first, haha! Hope you are having a good week -- so excited that autumn officially starts tomorrow :D
Comment: Sarah, thank you so much for the postcards! I love both of the church ones - the Kansas one is great!! I was born in Kansas but my folks moved to Colorado when I was 6 months old. Have been back a couple of times and it is so flat! Love the state capitol one, too! Thank you so much!
Comment: Belated thank you for the cool Imperial propaganda-style comic book cover card and great vintage stamps -- the flag/porch is one I remember from childhood trips to the post office :) Hope you have had a good end-of-the-summer and a full mailbox! I've missed swapping with you and hope to join postcard swaps again soon when I'm done with ratings and my schedule clears. Give your furbabies a hug ♥
Comment: Thank you for the amusing postcard, haha. I also enjoyed your list. I think we're probably a lot alike. I also also a total Lula junkie.. I can't wait until it gets a little cooler so I can wear my leggings more. What are your favorite styles? I looooove my carlys and my classics. I just got my first Lindsay today.
Response: Too funny! I love my leggings and perfect Ts! I just got my first Shirley too! I cannot waaaaaaaaait for fall to wear cute outfits again.
Comment: Another great selection of PCs from you for this swap -- thank you so much. And thanks too for the lovely bookmark. . . that has been one of my mantras throughout my life and something that really resonates with me - thanks again. Hope to see you in future swaps ~~
Comment: I actually loved this PC. . . reminds me of the olden days of the soups served at the local diner or truck stop. . . of course those olden days I'm speaking of are in the 50s and 60s and the chili was probably pretty good, especially in Texas :-) I certainly do see the 'barf' factor however. . . some things just should not be photographed and certainly not made into a PC but suppose these were at the check-out so the truckers could take one to tell other truckers about a great place to eat. Thanks for sharing ~~
Comment: Thanks for a great batch of postcards, Love the B&W "Working Girl". The funny little potted cactus & the orcas are cool, and the Big Sur Coastline brings back fond memories of driving the Pacific Coast Highway when life was so magical.
Comment: What a pretty bird. . .but I have no idea what kind it is, In some ways it reminds me of a pigeon but more decked out but there are so many different birds throughout the world that it is truly amazing. Thanks again for the great PC ~~
Comment: Thanks for the great PC - I love these types of PCs because they really enlighten all of us to the women throughout history that were smart and successful and yet we've never heard of them -- so sad.
Comment: Thanks so much for the re-send. I received the postcard today. Jane
Response: ...why the 1?!
You were supposed to let me know if it wasn't received and if not, I would resend.
I will resend tomorrow and I would appreciate a changed rating once it arrives.
For the future, a message to let me know it still didn't arrive would've been nice.
Comment: Yahoo, I love finding stationery at garage sales and thrift stores :) Yes, Klimt's fantastical subjects/depictions are part of why I enjoy his art ♥ I hope I get to see Water Snakes I in person one day in Vienna! Happy weekend, Sarah!
Comment: Sarah....thanks for the "boring" to you PC...lol I too had the perfect card for this swap that I would not have sent to anyone for any other reason but this theme gave it purpose....I think there is a life lesson in there somewhere...the seashell PC stamp was the first I had ever seen..we only have the ugly bird PC stamps here. Happy summer and happy swapping...Charlene
Comment: Sarah, wherever did you find this postcard or series of cards going through the alphabet? I was hard pressed to find any thing that worked with Q! Thanks for an amusing and out of the ordinary card for this difficult letter of the alphabet! Have a Happy 4th of July!
Comment: I love this PC. . .it reminds me of my dad as he used to sing the song (You Are My Sunshine) to me when I was a little kid. . . and my mom actually wanted to name me Sunshine but (unfortunately) that didn't pan out -- it would have fit me much better than my given name. Thanks again for the great PC and hope you have a wonderful week ~~
Response: I LOVE that you loved it! I have a stash of cards with that song because it was the last song I sang with my dad. <3 <3 <3
Comment: Great list - raw bread dough and the dentist huh? Interesting LOL! The postcard is awesomely creepy...I would make the Creamola all right...then I would eat every bit of it myself. Cool stamps too. Thank you very much! :-)
Comment: Thank you for the excellent Thiebaud card -- I am so used to seeing his dessert/cake paintings that this was refreshing :) How do you like The Handmaid's Tale? I read it in one afternoon (accompanied by an entire box, ulp, of Girl Scout Trefoils and a mug of English breakfast tea) a few years ago. I was riveted. I haven't yet seen the hulu series, even if it stars several actors and actresses whose work I admire. It's a novel I wondered why I never had to read in school but which I'm simultaneously glad that I could read it for leisure. Happy Wednesday, and happy reading!
Comment: Thank you so much for this Aladdin postcard, Sarah! I haven't seen it recently, either, but Aladdin used to be a favorite of mine, back when it was new. I really love it. :-) Thank you for sharing!
Comment: Hi Sarah! I could not get the illusion to show - boo! It was fun trying though! I get your pet peeves - people not using the blinker, like it is optional equipment or something (WTH??), also people asking how you are, well they are trying to be nice and I find myself doing it as well - yikes! Thanks again for the fun Happy Mail! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: It was a treat to receive several cards from you from different swaps stacked consecutively this afternoon :) Thank you for the vintage church card, hummingbird stamp, and reminding me of the 13 Reasons Why series! I have intended to read the novel for years and will soon. (I have a thing about reading the book first before watching, haha.)
Comment: Thank you for this "Art" postcard, Sarah! And you're right, it is weird! I appreciated the explanation about the art on the bottom of the print side, but what does that have to do with the piece's title? "The End of God" as a title really stumps me. :-) Did you get that snowstorm you were expecting? Will you hate me if I say that I'm jealous? (I am. I LOVE snow and cold weather!) :-) Thank you for sharing!
Comment: I love this PC. . . reminds me (in many ways) of growing up in South Dakota years ago. . . lots of cowboy bars, lots of cowboys, lots of drinking, lots of dancing, lots of fights, lots of just about everything!) - the only thing I never saw was a gun! Thanks for the great PC for this swap and hope to see you in future swaps ~~
Comment: Awesome potcard and quote. Thank you so much and thanks for joining in. Side note: Are you also in the Book Lovers Congregate group? I'm thinking of "transferring" the swap to that group to get more participation.
Comment: Belated thank you for the colorful, striking James Jean "Hound" card -- it reminded me of the aesthetic of "The Blind Banker" Sherlock episode :) -- and vintage postage, Sarah :) Hope you and your furbabies are well, and my condolences to your kitty client's human. ♥ EDITED 2/24/17: Thank you for the delectable macaron flavor card, lovely vintage postage (as always!), and for sharing your friend's macaron leggings -- I have a Swatch with a macaron pattern, and sometimes I don't wear it because I'll want a box of them, lol. (Mi dispiace if the previous card I mentioned or this latter macaron one is for a different swap. I always enjoy seeing your mail in my box :) Happy weekend!) ♥
Comment: It's so strange to see those 3 little words that people say all the time and isn't really anything profound attributed to an author, especially Mark Twain. I wonder if it was in the context of a passage?
Comment: What a fantastic PC. . . and I love the sense of humor of your grandma, mom and aunts! Reminds me of my own family :-) They did a beautiful job and I'm sure it was the talk of the neighborhood! Thanks so much for sharing ~~
Comment: Thank you for the great postcard. Just so you, the PO is saying there is postage due. Not a big deal, but didn't want you run into this problem. You might check with you local PO, maybe mine is just picky. (Wouldn't be the first time)
Response: Argh! Which card was it?! I know when I get the vertical cards (like Jetoy and the like) the PO always makes me pay 49 cents on each one! RIDICULOUS!
Comment: Thank you for the darling dozing mouse :) The "Let It Snow" stamp made me smile and remember an over-zealous choral piece's direction to pronounce the lyrics, "Leh tit snow" XD Hope you are having a good week! (How is it halfway to Christmas :O)
Comment: I know what you mean about not getting around to coloring in your adult coloring books. I've got the books and the postcards and the only time I ever color in them is because I've joined a swap that requires me to. Thanks for the card.
Comment: What an interesting PC. . . and I have no clue what it is -- very odd indeed. I've looked at it every which way and it looks like a ladder against either a big tree or a big potato :-) I did an internet research on the photographer and found nothing so it's anyone's guess what this really is. Must say, however, it certainly fits this swap perfectly! Thanks so much for the very odd card ~~
Comment: You and this card are the coolest, Sarah -- this is my first time seeing this image, and I love that it's my zodiac sign :) Thank you also for the jolly crocodile and turquoise jewelry postage! Warhol's museum in Pittsburgh is in my top-ten museums to visit. This is going on my mood board! Happy Sunday ♥
Comment: Thank you for one of my most favorite Jetoy images and for the excellent aviation vintage postage -- I still laugh so hard at the Jetoy designs... Before I have to rein myself in from wanting to buy them all! Hope you and your furbabies are having a relaxing Sunday evening ♥
Comment: Thank you for the cat postcard! This was the perfect card for me. My cat, Gizmo looked just like this, he just died a week ago. He was my baby,I found him. He was only a couple weeks old...thank you for sending me theb perfect card!!!
Comment: I have a book with the magic eye designs. I can never see what they want me to see. Thanks for the Magic PC! WOW, I see it in this one! It's a deer. Maybe it gets easier with age. Hehe!
Comment: Hello again, friend! Thank you for brightening my Halloween with your delightful, thoughtful postcards -- the Gorey one made me laugh especially! -- woodland creatures memo/note, and even your adorable canine address label :) I don't need bite-sized candy when I have happy mail <3
Comment: Ahahaha! Thank you for bringing a smile to my face with your excellent Pride and Prejudice and Zombies card (I will hang it up to remind myself to kick any challenge in the pants!) and vintage postage, Sarah :) Uncannily, my postal clerk and I were just talking about The Walking Dead the other day! I know of it but have not yet watched; my clerk and I were talking about how simpler ideas/character types have been developed in new ways (as with Rick Grimes). I just finished binge-watching the current season of Longmire and can't believe it's already finished! Happy watching :)
Comment: Funny you should mention it we just saw in news where guy dressed in clown chased kid with knife at one of our local school grounds and got arrested for it! As if clowns don't have a bad enough reputation-do like your postcard,though-kinda whimsical creepy clown in a good way! Thanks for sharing!
Comment: Thank you for the PC! I've taken in 4 stray cats - two Siamese boys and two girls - a solid gray and a gray striped - all neutered and spayed. Three I took in as kittens and the gray one after she lost her litter to the neighborhood dogs. And she was barely more than a kitten. But I have to stop there - my husband says I can't become the crazy neighborhood cat lady.
Comment: Thank you for the darling Ariel and Flounder card (their facial expressions accurately match how I feel when I go etsy or stationery shopping, haha!) and vintage postage, Sarah :) You are so lucky to get paid to care for kitties =^_^= Hope you are having a good start to the week! <3
Comment: Belated thank you for the adorable Sebastian card and great vintage postage (as usual :), Sarah! I don't think I have seen Bedknobs and Broomsticks in its entirety... Will have to rectify that ^_^;; Happy first day of Autumn!
Comment: Thanks for great cards! Love that unique map of the Chicago fire and of course the Pixar cards which I don't have, especially concept art by John Lassiter himself! I will put the bird pc in my husband's Christmas stocking since he is an avid birder!
Comment: Two I already had, but that's okay as I'll just use them in trade. But the three I didn't have I like a lot--that one from Delaware is very interesting! I continue to be amazed that you don't send MN cards, Sarah! thanks much
Response: I hate tourist cards, so I never buy them! The only tourist cards I have are the ones I've received from other people! :)
Comment: AHHHHHHH! Thank you so, so much -- I have never received a Lucille Ball or Lucy Ricardo card, Sarah :) I love it, especially since it ties into Lucy's ongoing attempts to break into show business <3 I also appreciate the vintage postage! I don't think I have seen that ballet episode yet -- my favorites are Vitameatavegamin and the chocolate factory conveyor belt XD I Love Lucy was one of my first favorite "non-kid" shows growing up, and I love, loved Lucille Ball. Thank you for brightening my day, and hope you have a lovely Labor Day weekend!d
Response: I'm so glad you liked it! You'll have to youtube the ballerina episode. It's HILARIOUS!
Comment: Sarah, thank you for the hummingbird postcard. We have a little female humming bird that came to our feeder on her first flight. She was so puffy. Her mama kept coming after her to make her fly or eat, but she just stayed on our feeder holder. It was in the 90's and we thought she would never make it. Late in the afternoon, we looked and she was gone. She comes back twice a day and lands on the holder so we can see her. How many can say they have a pet hummingbird? Shirley
Comment: I love this old blank postcard. I have a few of these I acquired some time ago with a little mail carrier chick. They are just too cute. That is so awesome you got to see Willie Nelson!!! I'd love to see him live.
Comment: almost same situation for me at work too. my co-workers drive me insane, and everyone in the office blames everyone else for poor work.
I work in the family owned company and everyone up front is family.
Comment: Thank you for the exquisite tea cup and saucer card and your kind words and concern, Sarah! Thankfully my family isn't in the flooded areas, but my heart breaks for the people undergoing this freak occurrence of nature.
Comment: Belated thank you for this cool blast from the past, Sarah, and vintage postage! I remember when the book fairs also sold posters like this :) I am so glad that Ms. Smart survived to tell her story; I hope that hostage situations like those never happen one day. Happy Monday!
Comment: Thank you for the lovely card, and awesome stamps! I love vintage space stamps <3 <3 I need to sit down and watch Stranger Things... I have it sitting there on my list but it's hard for me to be indoors when the sun is shining outside!
Comment: I didnt care about lighthouses until someone took me to one...since then..love em...last year summer vacation was route 101 down the coastline from Washington to California and we stopped at almost every one...lol...yep..love em
Comment: Thank you for the adorable, hilarious Jetoy Choo Choo card -- even if I'm having a bad day, I can't help but feel better when I see that face! -- vintage postage, and sharing some of your favorite things! I also enjoy everything you listed :) Happy weekend!
Comment: Thanks for the cute card. Hasn't been much on here so I am watching the old Star Trek movies on Amazon Prime. Looking forward to seeing the new one in the next couple of days. Also want to see the new Ice Age movie soon.
Comment: Thanks for the great postcard! I can definitely relate on the fireworks. i don't mind some but people in our neighborhood were a bit crazy with them. We've still had a few each night. Hopefully it has slowed down in your neck of the woods!
Comment: Thank you for the hilarious Jetoy black cat card -- that is exactly how my little Uling looks at me! XD -- and vintage postage! I still have to play around with stamp position on those and other vertically-oriented cards, haha. Happy weekend!
Comment: Thank you for the wonderful postcard. I love Zazzel postcards. I don't understand why a lot of people don't like them and why you can't use them in a lot of swaps. They say from a store and technically Zazzle is a store. It's an online store lol. Thanks again I love the postcards
Comment: Hi again Sarah~ Another bunch of great cards. Hubby and I chuckled at the little kitties stuffed in the box! I'm also quite fond of the vintage school boys at the botanical gardens and, of course, the whale. (also love your Suzy's Zoo kitty note paper ;+)
