Comment: I love my Scotland atc. I love all the information on why you chose the details you added. It is very lovely. Thank you. Thank you for all the extras, too.
Response: I am so glad you liked it. Before i decided on the shortbread cookies I was planning to use a button with a thistle on it... I was so sure i had seen one in my button collection But after searching thru my suitcase of buttons with no go... my husband banned me from ever buying another jar of buttons at a flea market... sigh... I had him searching for it too.... but actually the cookies i think tied into the scottie better don't you think?
Comment: Thanks for the festive pinwheel ATC, as well as your lovely note. I've never been to Greece, but I've always wanted to travel there. Ouzo candy sounds wonderful! I also appreciate your kind words about my work. No need to feel intimidated!
Comment: I absolutely love your ATC's! I'm not sure why you were nervous about being my partner or where you got the idea that I am "quite the artist" I just tinker. ;) These ATC's are awesome. Love, Love, Love them! Thank you!
Response: thank you .. I am relieved. I really was quite nervous. I thought maybe the one with the gears and watch face could reach out to your "steam punk" heart with my love of that extra hour of autumn sleep... but i didn't go as far as i could with the steam punk idea... ( we need a few steam punk atc swaps don't we?) have a great day and I hope to see you around the next swapbot corner.
Comment: It is good to see a familiar name. I really like the texture and the color of this ATC. Reminds me of a Chanel jacket-but maybe that was the idea-thanks for swapping again and sharing with me! Love the upholstery trim pieces you sent, too!
Response: It is funny you should mention Chanel... It crossed my mind about those tweedy jackets when i put the "buckle" on it... Not intentional but glad we shared a similar thought. I am neither funny or clever with intention... for me the best comes out spontaneously.
Comment: Thank you! The ribbon on the ATC is amazing! Thank you for the sample too. :-)
Response: I am glad you liked my kitty. If you are at all interested in having some trims of that kind and many others... I have tons. most are only small samples off cards that interior designers use to show clients... most are 3 inches - 6 inches... but i also have tassles and fringes... I can't stand the idea of all that retired sample stuff going to a landfill... i would be happy to send you a variety pack if you pay for postage... Let me know and pass the word on... i use it for so many things... atcs, doll hair.. decorating hair accessories... clothes pins etc... But i will never be able to use the laundry baskets full that i have !
Comment: Thank you for the BEE-utiful cat ATC. It's just so gorgeous and sparkly. I even love the cat note card you sent it in. And of course, thanks for the extra bits & pieces. I can never have too many. Your 2 cats sound as spoiled as our Jinx and Tom. Jinx we got from the shelter in 2003 and Tom was a stray my husband brought home from another state in 2008. We just love them to pieces. Again, thank you for the purrfect ATC!
Response: Thank you for your warm rating. I love hearing what folks like etc in the rating... it helps me be a better swapper. I think Jinx is a great name... and Tom is a lucky one.
Comment: another great swap and another great set from you...so very well done and so "fall/thanksgiving/vintage" I especially liked the little pilgrim...thank you for the swap the atc's and those very nice extras....
Comment: great swap-My happy trio arrived on a Monday. What a way to brighten the day. Love all of the cut outs and textures-especially the give thanks tag with the leaf and rick rack!!! Thanks for the extras-I can't wait to use them in my creations!
Comment: Thanks for hosting this one! Got my ATC's today and they're great :) The reading sheep is my fave! The stamp you used on that one is so cute! Thanks for the pretty lace too :) Oh! and the book pages...super cool!
Response: Glad you liked them Yes the sheep is my favorite as well. Another trio is up if you are interested. Hope to see you in swap world again soon
Comment: absolutely wonderful swap and the great atc's you sent...I'd be here forever if I commented on everything I liked about each one...I was reminded of my favorite book series of griffin and sabine...especially the writing one...thank you so much as well for the wonderful van gogh and the amazing decal...! such a special swap thank you so very much...
Response: I am happy you were pleased. Fun to see everyone's take on the themes. ( do you have pics of yours since i did not get to see them , sigh) I also love the Griffin and Sabine series. Happy to see you are signed up for the next atc swap as well. Life is good. Hugs.
Comment: wow! what a great swap...loved the cards...the baseball one ...so very cool! each so special...and the extras...are you kidding! thank you so much...can't wait to use it all! great swap as usual...
Comment: Aloha! These great atcs make me want to return to Hawaii! Love the hibiscus on the surf board... That tourist with the camera and socks with sandals! Hilarious the drink card is so cool with the window love those colors! Where did you get that grass paper background love it all and thanks for the very cool swap !
Response: I am so glad someone noticed the 'grass" cloth paper. I found it at Marshall's months ago... It is wrapping paper.! they have some of the coolest papers if you keep an eye out.. ( low $ too) Thank you for the detailed review. You are my first for this swap and i was beginning to wonder. I have not been to Hawaii YET. This has been a fun swap made even better with you in it. I feel lucky we got to be partners. Aloha
Comment: Thank you so much for the lovely postcards! Yes, postcards--I got two from you! They're both very lovely, and I like how you detailed the steps in making the one with the napkin background. I like the scorecard background on the other one, too. And thanks for all the awesome papers and lace, etc. Sorry for the late rating as I was on vacation.
Comment: Hi Betsy! Thanks for the gorgeous Marie Antoinette ATC; she came out beautiful. I am always happy when I see an envelope from you and I was so happy to have you as my partner. Thanks for joining the swap -Vanne
Response: Thank you. I always love your swaps and I must say I worry that I won't do them justice. I am glad you were pleased. Looking to see what is next for you. <3
Comment: Betsy, what a great atc you created for me, thank you so very much! I love this free themes swaps, we can really let our imagination go...Uncle Vinnie's mustache sure need it extra space for the picture...hahahaha thanks for the ribbon bits. Have a great week.
Comment: Lovely little ATC here! I am glad that you went through your stamps to find these! Inktense are my FAVORITE water soluble pencil out there. They are so BRIGHT and INTENSE. I started out buying the primaries + white and then for the next few weeks a few at a time UNTIL I HAD THEM ALLL!!!! Did you know you can use these on fabric? YUP! I did a blog post on this, the link to my blog is on my profile. ANYWHO, also, thanks for the stickers. I know a sick little girl up in the mountains, and I have sent them to her as a treat. Hope you dont mind, at least they are going to good use! =)
Comment: Betsy, thank you so much for the beautiful butterfly ATC...I am going to be looking for glitter nail polish now! It makes a gorgeous accent! Thank you for the sweet stickers, too...they always come in handy.
Comment: So sorry thought I had rated this . Loved the card just a suggestion make sure the tape or glue you are using is stuck good the windows came off, But I put them back on and I is added to m village page this is a fun swap.
Response: thank you i will do better my fav glue ran out and thought the tape would hold.
Comment: Hi Betsy. Your ATC is super-adorable and well worth the wait. You don't have to worry about being late with me. I don't fret about that kind of thing. As long as there is communication. Anyway, I love all the little aspects of your ATC and of course with Graphic 45 paper you can't go wrong. I hope you are continuing to feel better and the kitties are behaving :) Thanks again!
Comment: Thank you so much for the awesome ATC,it was really cool all the techniques you did, I loved it. Also thank you so much for the stationary as well, that's one thing I never have enough of. Thank you for a great swap. :):)
Comment: They arrived Thursday and are so funny!
Hope one day that if I got caught in my flower old fashion dress with all my friends somebody will have enough art and humor to glue my picture on an ATC!
Thank you so much. They are great!
Comment: Betsy, it was a pleasure to join your swap, anytime you create another one, count on me. The work on your atc's it's just great! Loved the ribbon & extras that you'd send me.
Blessings to you & yours this Holiday Season & always, from a very grateful heart
Comment: Thank you so much for the ATC's they are adorable, of course I love cats. They have such different personalities. The extras you sent me are greatly appreciated. I just started swapping and you are the type of person that makes it exciting. Thank you again.
Comment: I love the watermelon ATC. I sure have had my Watermelon already this year. I love watermelon. I use to work in a supermarket working with the fruit bar and I had the chance to taste everything. YEA!!!! Have a GREAT Summer!!! <3 Colleen
Comment: Thank you so much for the ATCs ^_^ I loved this swap, it was so much fun to create these miniature works of Mason Jar art, and I love the ATCs that you've made! The sketches were very nice, my favorite is the sewing jar! :D
Comment: OMG! What an envelope! Filled to the brim with Black and White...guess I'll have to continue with the B&W swaps. Love the ATC....simple but elegant. And yes, B&W are difficult to do! I have the same problem!
Comment: Thank you so much for the super- cute ATC! It is so interesting to read your note re. the inspiration behind the color scheme and the whole scenery. Wow, deer hoof prints on the snow!!! That's soooo cool!!! Love all the goodies as well!
Response: I have hoof prints again... and darn it if it doesn't get me up several times a night to see if i can spy on them... but alas..no actual deer sighting in the yard yet in 2014! But extra exercise from doing the stairs 3x a night !
Comment: Thanks for the extras. The little stars didn't survive the mail, but I glued them back on..very nice.
Response: I am sorry about the stars... I did a test turn and they worked. What is it with the mail that sometimes things go thru fine and other times there seem to be little gremlins? I used a glue that was suppose to be good for embellishments. AGain I am sorry.
Comment: Betsy, what a wonderful swap. Your greeting card is so pretty!! You did a great job on your ATC and I adore all the papers you sent. Oh,I don't want to forget commenting on the cute envie your ATC same in. Thank you for everything.
Comment: ATC arrived, love the layers! Wondering where you get you little window envies? Like them more than the ones I make.
Response: I found the envies at a garage sale .. not sure what they were originally for. bought a whole box of those and think they are grand.... I also found a big box of unused library pockets at a thrift store... so keep your eyes open for those kinds of things in unexpected places.
Comment: Thank you so much for the beautiful ATC and all the extra goodies! I'm so sorry to hear about your broken foot....I had a broken toe about 7 years ago and that REALLY hurt. I live about 7 miles from the beach and never go...
Comment: oooh I love the pretty colors in your ATC - it is absolutely gorgeous! Also, thank you for including a note on how you created it - I love learning more about different techniques and other swappers' creative process. Thank you so much!
Comment: I loved your color day dreaming technique. VERY creative! I am going to put this technique at the top of my to do list. Thank you so much for sharing this idea & tuck ins with me in this swap. blessings, ellie
Response: My husband told me not to send it... he never says much so I thought he meant it wasn't that good. He told me later he thought it would be nice on his memo board. Enjoy it. Glad Sam got good reviews all around.
Comment: What a sweet beaded ATC. I like it a lot. Thank you. I also am trying to give up sugar but not very successful as of yet. The ATC came after June 30 but I will still give you a heart bc I really liked the ATC.
Comment: OH Betsy, thank you so very much for the most wonderful selection of note cards that I have ever received in a swap!!!!!!! I could not get over the amount of cards that you took the time to send..and I can't imagine going to thrift stores and finding these beautiful cards!!!!!!! You are a gem!!!! anita
Response: I am so glad you liked them. I figured if i had to use a big envelope to send them I might as well pack it in LOL. I am always amazed at the $$$ note cards i find at thrifts.. often they are from museums, or sort of exotic ones... made with dried flowers or butterflies... I think many of the complete sets come from people who gave them as gifts after a vacation??? Not everyone appreciates them anymore. But WE DO! Enjoy!
Comment: Beautiful Cards! That's a cute idea to make a banner with them for your studio, right now i'm just collecting them in a binder! I missed out on the beginning of the swap series so sadly my deck has a ways to go...
Comment: Awesome ATC. I love the little spoon. The stamp reminds me of my kids too and when I was a little girl. I love the sifter. I have my grandma's but I don't use it any more. Don't need any baked goods so my waist and hips tell me. THank alot for the ribbon.
Comment: Wow! How cool was that that you should get the same partner for both swaps!? I love both rolos, too! I can get sort of OCD, spend a lot of time searching for just the right embellishment and not have my project turn out as nice as yours did! They are going right in my collection! Thank-you! :)
Comment: Thank you so much for the beautiful ATC's I love them, I've seen the little decorated pins in our craft shop but never seen them used before, it looks so pretty, thanks so much for the veterans stickers too especially the bald eagle ones they will look great in my collection :)
Comment: Well, this ATC is adorable...just perfection. And then there's the note card; so sweet! I do love my kitties! Good luck with your DH; my poor daughter can't spend more than 20 minutes at my house before she starts to drip and tickle and then (worst of all) to wheeze. And I vacuum LOTS, and bathe my furry girls each month. So sad...
Comment: Betsy!!!! I must tell you I ADORE the jellyfish! I am inspired now to make one myself. I love going to aquariums and I spend a lot of time in front of both the seahorse and Jelly-fish tanks! I also am so appreciative of the extras you sent. Thank you so much! xoxo
Response: You are so kind about the jelly fish... I wasn't all that pleased. I would love to see what you come up with. I too love the jelly fish tanks ... I have seen these new desk top jelly fish tanks on line... but i would be afraid i would kill mine.... but i do dream of going someday to swim in one of those non toxic jellyfish lakes... just dreaming probably. Once as a kid i was camping in FL and in the lagoon tide pools i found a real seahorse... It was amazing... never before and never after have i seen one there... It was tiny.. maybe an inch big but about 40 years later i still remember it! Have a great day Betsy
Comment: Thankyou Betsy for the lovely creative yellow Rolo, yellow is one of my favourite colours. I love how you have crafted the Rolo. Thankyou Betsy for the card and for the butterflies and bits, very thoughtful, I can use these for my scrapbooking, have a nice day love Jennifer.
Response: I think there has been a mistake... I have not sent mine out yet. In fact i only started working on mine last night.
Comment: I'm so lucky to have you for my partner and happy with these awesome painted nine lives cat cards! My favorites so far! Love the the security envelope background. Why didn't I think of that? ;) You have inspired me to paint more often. Practice will help me improve. Thank you so much!
Comment: Thank you for the Jack cards. I saw the first one and thought maybe the other card might be JILL. I love them both and hope to get you in future swaps.
Response: Jack and Jill would have been a fun way to do them. I didn't think of that. I was just trying to go with a Jack. I enjoy doing these as well.. somehow i have missed the sign up for queens and tens.. bummer... but i hope to do the rest of the deck. Thank you for the rating and comments.
Comment: These turned out great! They remind me of my boys when they were little too. Great job! Thank you and for the tulips greeting that fondly reminds me of my Mom. <3 It's fun trying new techniques.
Comment: Hi Betsy thanks for the unusual ATC card love it also thanks for the extra,s and I also like your env very crafty.ElsD
Response: this may sound really dumb... but I have been doing my atcs in a fog due to some health issues with my sister... many cards have been made in the middle of the night... since you used the word unusual, i am not curious as to what the card looked like. I cannot recall what i did at all... can you describe it for me... Ok.. laugh at me all you want.. I am laughing at myself too.
Comment: Hello Betsy,
Thank you for your nice ATC you created for me for this swap. I like the use of the gel pen around the hydrangeas. That technique makes the flowers stand out more. Your ATC will be a positve addition to my Flower Series. I appreciate your note as well.
P.S. Thank you for the orange ribbon and ribbon with a message that you sent along as an extra.
Comment: Betsy, I love this ATC! Like you, I collect vintage linens and bits of stitchery, and look for ways to incorporate them into my crafts. Thank you so much for the lovely ATC, and also for the beautiful pieces of tissue paper.
Response: so glad you liked it. As you can tell it wasn't a super duper heirloom but someone spent time on it and I think that means it deserves to be appreciated... An ATC is probably better life than it has seen LOL Thanks for telling me you liked it.
Response: I am glad you like her and the extras. I ended up using a bit of glue her to make sure the armor didn't desquinize (yes made up word) I try not to use it much. When you are off to save the world... or france.. one cannot worry about ones secquines. Ok.. too many notes to spell check. Best finish. Au revoir!
Comment: Oh, Betsy! This is the cutest ATC. I am thinking it is Baby Sally from the late 50's early 60's school reading books! We did a lot of swing races, too. See who could get the highest. Thanks so much for sweet memories, very cute ATC and joining my swap. ♥Deb
Response: You have a very good visual memory! Yes it is Sally... I have a reprinted book of the dick and jane series. Glad you enjoyed the card and the memories. It was a fun one for me too.
Comment: This has to be my favorite dotee I've received thus far! I thought I did a good job on mine, but you blew me out of the water!!! You did a fantastic job. I love her gun and her tail. The fabric you used is wonderful. It's just freakin' perfect! You gave me an idea of how to use fabric paper dolls for dotee faces now. I had some laying around that I didn't know what to do with. Also, thank you for the awesome fabric. I can't wait to make dotees out of it. Thank you! <3
Comment: love my new Dotee. she is such a doll.Thank you and Happy St. Patricks day to you
Response: Thank you for liking her. I had a lot of fun making one for you and for me. My 22 year old son and his new bride are living in Dublin and working on graduate degrees at the university of Dub. So all things Irish are close to my heart this year. They are living in a 200 year old flat that is only heated with a woodburning fireplace and the windows still have the wavy glass. Still wonderful way to spend first year of marriage. Happy St. Pats to you too.
Comment: Hello Betsy,
Thank you for the ATC that you created for me. I like the way you used a business envelope with window to make it look like the dog was on sale. This will be a great addition to my series.
Thank you also for the extra papers you sent me, including envelopes. I will look forward to using them.
Comment: So beautifully made Betsy. Thank you. I am sure your two other versions were just as spectacular. Thank you also for the very lovely note you sent and special tuck in's. I love everything!!! :-) Sheryl
Response: Glad you liked it. I enjoyed reminding myself of how fun thermal embossing is. Sometimes we move onto the newest and latest techniques and forget how fabulous older ones are. I vow to do more embossing in the near future. Its like alchemy!!!
Comment: Hello Betsy,
Thank you for the beautiful and creative ATC you came up with for this swap. I love the color combination you used on the ATC. Your ATC will be a positive addition to the ATC Flower Series and to my ATC Collection, in general.
Comment: Cute owl--look like he's dressed in a tuxedo for a fancy event with his golden body and black wings. Very pretty vintage card as well--where'd you get the awesome red lace tape on the envie?
Response: I am glad you liked the owl. I was struggling not to have to go to my basement studio as it was soooooooooooo cold down there. I used paper I had upstairs. The tape i think came from michaels.
Comment: LOVE LOVE LOVE all the icy goodness! I'll have fun playing around with the stamps and glitter, and the mints were much needed after a lunch of chicken-fried steak squeezed in between my two jobs! :) Such a generous package, and so beautifully decorated! Thanks, Betsy! (P.S., I'm sending you a PM about LaPorte!)
Comment: Hi Betsy,
She is super cute. This is the first time I see up close the cute painted faces of dotee's. Love love every detail. Thanks a million XOXO
Response: so glad you like her. Its the first dotee of mine to be photographed! I am so hooked on making these ladies. I am always glad when they find a nice home. Thank you for the words of kindness. Betsy
Comment: oh my dear... betsy... your sugar plum fairy dotee is adorable... i love it... and the so cute drawn face is wonderful..... thank you so very very much
Response: thank you. I was hoping you would like her. I made one to put on my Christmas tree. It was a fun doll to make... I think most of us have an inner fairy... this was her chance to shine. Some people don't seem to like my take on the dotees.. i was told too much detail and too much fashion... but this is what i like so its what i send. Glad you liked her. Merry Christmas.
Comment: Great ATC. Thank you for it and the extras. Your daughter's comment made me smile too. What are those little things that look like tags with neusteters written on them? I've never seen them before.
Response: I think they are some type of jewelry tag. I found a giant roll of them... (the roll is huge like a big roll of raffle tickets) at a thrift store for a few bucks... I have since then found that there use to be a denver store by that name... If find a great way to use them and want some more... just let me know.. Ill never be able to use them all. And I don't know any great ideas except to color and stamp on them... but they needed to come home with me. Glad you liked the atc. The chair paper was from a book cover on an old japanese dictionary... Like a protective cover.
Comment: Hi Betsy, I love the ATC!! It is great! I know you will do really well with your surgery. I have had both of mu knees replaced, onre in 1990 the other in 1991.I was 47. I can't even tell I had the replaced. They are still going strong. In face, with my RA they are the only joints i have that do not hurt me. Just be sure and do your rehab excerises. Let me know how you do with the surgery, and rehab. Again, thanks! Nancy (grannystamper)
Comment: Thank you for the great cards! And for this fun swap. I hope your knee feel better by now. I have to take my son to the orthopedic doctor today about his knee. He twisted it playing football outch! I'm praying for you. Feel better and again, Thank you!
Comment: Thank you so much for the pretty ATC. It is very art like and I love it! The paper is really cool!
Response: thank you. Glad you liked it. I appreciate the heart and the detailed comments. Hate just getting a rating with no details. That last word is what i live for... I guess insecurity is what drives me? Looking for the praise? Am I pathetic or what? Have a good day!
Comment: I haven't tried needle felting yet, but I might have to after seeing your pretty little flower charms! Thanks so much!
Response: Needle felting is SO easy. The only think i would say is watch where you poke..those barbs are painful. If you can tap a pencil... you can needle felt... no mistakes.. easy peasy... IN the past I have picked up the ornaments, easter baskets and holiday coasters in that thick thick icky non wool felt... its the perfect base for something like a charm or just to practice felting on. I also check out bits and pieces of wool yarn at yarn stores... even a piece of yarn an inch or two in a bright color can add the perfect zing. Try it. let me know what you think. b.
Comment: Loved your ATC or should I say many. I especially liked the note on the outside of the envy. Very clever. I can feel your pain. I've had both knees replaced in the last few years but it is so much better than being in pain all the time. Hope you feel better soon.
Comment: Thanks for the cute ATCs and 2 of them :) I love the "meow" clips - nice touch!
Response: glad you liked them. I have had those clips for years and never used them... they originally came with a gun like tool that opened them and put them on the papers... but it was pretty spendy... so when i saw just the clips i picked up a few themes. I have not seen that product ever again. Glad the kittens were appreciated.
Comment: Martha is so very cute!!! I love her!! Thank you for the care and attention to detail. It is appreciated!! Smiles, Beth
Response: thank you for responding so fast. I was just worried about her travel. That she might be be a bit out of her element if she went by plane but then again i don't know if for her a truck or train would have been much less a shock... I now have ideas of other famous historical people to dotee-ize.
Comment: LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the cards and your lovely note--I have framed the notecard for my office: it is beautiful. Thank you so much for adding such beauty to my collection--my favorite cards thus far.
Response: So glad you liked them. It was fun making them and I love having pretty notecards to send. Nice to know it all was appreciated. Look forward to swapping again sometime soon. B.
Comment: Your work never disappoints. She is so cute. I didn't make a lady bug either, I also made a lady bug lady. I think my favorite part of her is the way her jacket closes or her necklace or her hair. I don't know, she's very cute and I do love her.
Response: Thank you! I did have fun with her... before her spots went on the back i thought she looked a bit like she was out to hunt foxes. I have signed up for some other swaps and can hardly wait to see what I come up with LOL... I have several to do before i start the cherry one but I am so excited about that one that i just about cant stop myself from doing her first! Coming up for me in next week are hours and hours of time in the car traveling to seattle...for sons college grad and wedding... then meandering trip home... I just have to make sure i have enough swapbot materials for all things coming up! Catch up with you soon. Oh... i was at the hallmark store looking for gifts for the above stuff and found 4 green ornament trees for about $2 each i think left over from easter... fun way to showcase dotees.
Comment: Thanks so much for the awesome package, Betsy. Loved it all but especially the cupcake liners (used some the very next day) and the elephant stamp too!
Response: I am glad. The timing of this swapped with a visit to Micheals... I think cupcakes or even muffins taste better in fun paper wrappers.! Also I am sure there is a cool way to make some kind of flower from these but i havent found it yet... maybe you will. Glad you were pleased Warmly Betsy
Comment: Love the ATC's! The "Fresh Eyes" ATC is my favorite since "76" is when I graduated from high school! Thank you so much! Hope your knee replacement heals well and good luck! Take care!
Response: It was just a coincidence but isnt that interesting how that happens. I am glad you like the cards. Bad day today at PT but came home and crafted until my DH put me to bed with my knee iced and all kinds of tlc. I am so blessed with him.
Comment: I love love love all her beads and the feathers. She's cute and now she and her friend are hanging in my daughter's room. I put a ribbon up on the wall and they are attached to the ribbon with mini clothespins. They seem very happy at their new home! And we are happy to have both of the new dolls!
Response: thank you for taking the time to tell me what you like about the girls. I have a clothesline like you mentioned for my ATCS when they firstt arrive ...when the line fills up then I transfer them to my "mini museum" a special album. I have such fun working on my little hand stitched dotees and the atcs. Getting detailed ratings is really what keeps me going. So thank you. Keep me in your positive thoughts... hard hard day today with the knee. I am ready to just sit down and cry.... Sleeping is impossible...Ok... time to get over the pity party. But this is really a big deal.
Comment: We love both of our new dotees but the blue one is our favorite. My 2 children and I were so excited to open the package and all 3 of us love both but that blue one really made us smile. I love how you made her hair and I love her bird. There are just so many things about her that I love!
Comment: Hi thanks for the lovely ATC and note...Congratulations to you and your son, my daughter got married last year and also graduated, she worked for a few weeks in Oxford during the summer but Oxford is quite a way from where I live...
Comment: Thank You for the lovely cards. They are just so like what I would call vintage. Thanks again for all the trouble you sorted out I have enjoyed this swap and will keep a watch for your next one.
Response: I am so glad you liked it. I was SO worried. I am anxious to hear how my first one was received as it went to Australia. I have kind of caught the dotee fever and have worked on a couple more just for me. One for st. pats day and another with a winter ice princess type theme.. Its ok to make and keep them isnt it?
Comment: Betsy, Yep,I bet we did go to the same place for our images, as did some others in the swap. :) Thank you for some nice atc's. I really liked how you used fringe on the one. Happy swapping. Sue
Comment: I love your Owl ATC! Great job as usual! Also thanks so much for the lovely note (our oldest son is in Colorado on spring break!) and extra goodies! The shamrocks are so cool! Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: I love the use of the envelope lining--it says something great about you that you even noticed the beauty in such mundane and sometimes unwelcome items. The colors are beautiful and wintery. I look forward to playing with the stamps.
Comment: I wish you were the first to get a heart from me because that would make it more special! It was so cool to hear back from you, I didn't understand anything when I recognized your name on the envelope. I love the ATC! It was a very clever idea with the glitter. It's fun to hear your son wants to study Esperanto! It will probably come very easy to him with his experience. Oh, and thanks for the cool ephemera, I will put it to good use! What is Joe's btw? Thanks again and good night! Esperanza
Response: The Joe's sticker is from a restaurant my husband sometimes goes to in Denver where he works. I think the whole name is Tokyo Joes... I thought it looked like a surf board.
Comment: Thank you so much for the pretty ATC & goodies! My four year old LOVES watching the birds - my parents have a bird feeder in their backyard and she always helps them refill it when she visits. Many hearts for you! ♥
Response: i am confused... you made a comment about museums and I don't remember talking about them with my card... it was all about bird watching.
Comment: thanks so much for the lovely atc! Did you hand drawn every single thing on it ? It's lovely. Thanks for the extra atc backing cutout and also the lovely hearts stickers. :) Have a great and blessed day ahead!
Response: i sent out a couple different clear out cards.. trying to remember which one you might be talking about LOL... describe it and I can answer your question better. I am glad you liked it. Its probably the raku one? I sent more of those.
Comment: Betsy, This package was such fun, I wish I could give you more hearts!! First of all, the envie was outstanding. I really apreciated the friendly note. Then we have a custom made envie for the emery boards tied up with a ribbon---Hello!! The emery boards themselves are exactly what I would have chosen for myself and I'm not even kidding. Thank you so much for everything. I really liked it. Sue
Comment: Little bunny "Turn Up" is too cute, I love him and the story about the bunny was alot of fun My boys really liked it too
Response: i am glad you liked the story of my bunny visitor. We live in a small town and our subdivision is finally about all built out so i think the animals are coming back... a few years ago all we had were some occasional deer... ( now we have some regulars..I call them the 4 maradeers since they come to empty my bird feeders... we now get at least 2 bunnies coming by and tons of birds... 4 squirrels.. i think i mentioned nubbins the one whos tail is part gone... and around the corner in an empty lot there is a village of prairie dogs...fun to watch as well. I could write more to your boys ( what age?) about my critter watching... would they be able to color pictures of my tales? I would love to share ... not everyone appreciates my wonder in the animal world. let me know. My kids are all grown up now.. so i don't have kids to share with until oneday i have grandkids.
Comment: Thank you for the adorable chain stitched duck. I hope you enjoyed learning to do chain stitch. I didn't like it too much when I started embroidering many years ago, but now it is one of my favorite stitches.
Comment: Thanks for the lovely ATC. My name it seems is given to dogs I have a client who had a dog called Phoebe and he got a shock when I arrived to care for him, we have a lovely time chatting after his shower.
Comment: Thanks so much for the cards (two cards! bonus!)-they're wonderful! I especially like your use of color on the "Diva" card. And the greeting card made my day :) We Moms rock! And thanks for the extras--it's always fun to get surprises. Thanks for sharing your creativity!
Comment: I love your cherries ATC--I'm glad you had to "get creative," because the result was really fabulous, but I hope your drawer of stamps turns up! Thank you for the extras, I'm going to try using the sequin waste today! <3
Response: thank you for your comments. lately I have wondered if my card like style was a bit too blah with all these folks doing collages and zen drawings.. I thought maybe i was too old school . And the use of the sequin waste... just so i didnt have to go digging thru my HUGE stash for polka dots LOL... funny how it all works out. Thanks again you made my day
Comment: Thank you, I love it! People looking through my ATCs with me tend to point it out =P
Response: If you don't mind... what do people like about the card? I have been struggling to decide if my style is too old school. I don't understand all the new zen drawings and collage means to me having to cut up my good mags... Thanks Betsy
Comment: The ATC you sent me was so beautiful! Thank you so much! I love the heavy card stock you used, may I ask where you found it?
Response: since this was such a small swap I was able to use just small scraps i had from one of those "pound of scraps" misc bags you can buy. I am sorry I cannot tell you more. But i have found those kind of bags to be full of GOOD card stock... my guess is its from invitation companies ... glad you like the card. I was a bit worried.
Comment: Betsy, wonderful job! I love the sugar skull card the most, especially since you hadn't any prior experience with them -the top hat is classic. Both cards are great, and the generous eclectic mix of goodies is awesome. Perfect swap, don't stop making those ATCs, you got it girl! :OD
Response: thank you I really appreciate your feedback. I have been our of the creative mode for a bit and just trying to organize my space.. Creating is way more fun.
thank-you very much for such an amazing card it is beautiful and I loved the sentiment behind it. Thank-you for sharing your story with me, and I am sorry to hear about your cat. I just lost my dog I have had since I was little so I can understand how much it sucks to lose a pet. Thank-you for the amazing extras as well, I loved everything.
Comment: Awesome cards! I was lucky to have you as a partner. I am embarrassed about mine now. Thanks a lot!
Response: thank you. I am new to the whole atc thing so I wasnt sure. I love getting the ATCs and real mail! Never be embarrassed. At least not on my account. I love em. I just have to get my act together to do the ratings with cards in front of me so i can respond to right artists. LOL thank you for your comments. Betsy
