OK, I didn't look at the date as it seems did whatshername who originally brought this thread back and I understand the reasons Mel posted it last month, and I did appologise to Mel for calling her a trouble maker. This is a good reason for allowing the person who starts a thread to delete it. It is also a good reminder that people should mind thier own business. |

LOL! (((Kelli))) If you ONLY knew how much we think alike when it comes to wanting to delete threads! Thank you for apologizing. I knew you probably didn't notice the date, though. ;) |

I'm not in favour of being able to delete our own threads in the public forums, as I think some people would abuse that by making threads to say nasty things and then remove the evidence, but I do think we should be able to close them when they have been inactive for a few days so that they can't pop up a month or more later. If anyone needs to revive the topic, they can start a new thread and link back to the original one. |

What I think is a bit crazy here on swap-bot is the fact that spinjenny used the word "evidence". I feel the same way about "screen shots" it is kind of crazy to me that people take all the nonsence that seriously. This is a forum about swapping. It isn't a political campaigne. |

Oh, come on, Kelli! I wasn't talking about "evidence" in the legal sense, as should have been obvious. When threads are left, people can see what other people really said, rather than secondhand reports - I'd rather trust the "evidence" of my own eyes than other people's possibly biased recollections. As for political campaigns, I certainly don't take them very seriously, as most politicians seem to say what they think will get them elected, not necessarily what they will actually do if they are. |

well, threads should be able to be LOCKED instead of deleted. THere would be a record or what was said, but no one new can add or bump it to the front. |

not trying to start anything, but... When I read the word evidence I thought the same thing as Kelli. well, I rolled my eyes and thought ... Evidence? this ain't no courtroom show this is a freaking swapping site!!! gah! But I get what you're saying sj. |

I understand what your saying SJ. It just feels sometimes like an episode of law and Order here, with all the screen shots and evidence and quotes. Really, who gives a shit. If a swap-bot member who I trust says so and so sucks, then I will be wary of that swapper because there probably is a reason for it. I think we take it all too seriously sometimes. I stand by my opinion that I think we should be able to delete out threads after a period of time because they do become irrelivent and I did give Mel shit because I thought this was a new thread and it was just a busy body bringing it up again. |

It's okay... I talked to PC. I told her she shouldn't leave and that she could have fun and make some good friends here. Told her to avoid the frustrations category if she wants to avoid most of the drama. ;oP It's cool.
