Well, I have been in a very creative funk lately and I have spent all day long trying to do my Pink/red atc and my Patriotic atcs for upcoming swaps. |

I have been doing some art journaling lately. I found this ladys website and her flicker photos of her art journal and decided to give this style a try. On her website she has a tutorial on her methods. Here is the link to her journal pages they are a feast for the eyes. http://www.flickr.com/photos/thriftycollageartist/2257389422/in/set-72157603905183446/ |

I am in Bremerton Washington. This week is the first week of hot weather we have had. What are you doing for the Patriotic, I like the Rosie the Rivertor posters from WWII. You could search the internet for the image and then resize and print it and them embellish the card with red, white and blue, stickers or fibers or stamping? |

Oh, that sounds interesting. I have cut out picture of a girl wearing a patriotic suit, waving a flat; a dog in a patriotic top hat; and a doll wearing a red, white, and blue dress. i have to embellish them. I usually like to send an extra atc, so I still have to come up with more ideas. I am wanting to get into art journaling too. I will have to check that site out. |

Here's my creative stall. I finished the cover of a book for a round robin and then I went OH I should have done this instead...and I had even thought of the other way before I made it. Now I am thinking that I can change it but I am not sure I have the courage to go at it with a black sharpie like I want to. I am afraid that I will ruin it, it is not bad now, just not wow now. |

When you are making the ATC's and you have two or three partners do you send the same or similar card to each partner or different ones? If I am sending two cards to two partners. I make two of one style and two of another. |

I like pockets, they also make it sort of interactive. |

Do you need some blank rolodex cards? I could send you some when I send you deco ones. |

Usually, I end up sending different ones. I cut these pictures out of a pattern catalogue. There is only one of each, so I am doing them differently. I do, however have about 12 red dresses already modge podged on pink cardstock to do multiples of them. I want to have them to send when I bless people in the wishlist group. I am stuck now though. I also started my other pink/red atcs and am doing a lot of them. By the way, my first cousin, OneLitFireFly is the host of the patriotic one. |

My sister is the one who talked me into joining this site. Did your cousin talk you into it or was it the other way round? |

It is sewing patterns, McCalls, Simplicity, etc. I went to HobbyLobby and to Walmart and asked for their discontinued ones. I have several but some of them are locked up in my storage room and I don't feel like going to get them today. I feel lazy. |

No, I found this site by randomly searching the internet back in February. I talked my 18 year old cousin into joining one month ago. She loves it. |

I bought a scanner at the beginning of the year and I don't know how I got along without it. I can scan a picture in and then make as many copies as I want on all types of papers or printer fabric or transfers etc.... That way if it is a good picture I don't use the original. On the other hand using the original makes the card even more special and collectable. |

Ink costs so much so I try to use images I can find in unique places. |

I am going to try asking for them at my local stores, I never even thought about that, great idea. I would love to find one from like 1957. |
My son rented a truck today and hauled off the big pile of garbage. This was the first step in operation sell this house. Also while we had the truck we stopped at the hardware store and got a piece of sheetrock, or do you say sheet of sheetrock? There are a few holes in the interior of the house that need to be patched and painted. I am so happy to know that some progress is being made. And to top it off my son and I had fun chatting in the truck although the air conditioning did not work and it is HOT here today.
