A bit disappointed about people making up things about why they won't swap with me. I don't mind them not wanting to swap but when they say they're cutting back and I see them swapping with other people instead is kind of :( The truth is less painful heard rather than seen. I finished and mailed 3 matchboxes. :) Cleaned out from behind and under 1 sofa and washed half of the living room walls. Washed the love seat. Doing pretty good. I'm going to do the other half of the living room either tomorrow or later tonight. Going to work on some more swaps and clean up my craft stuff now I think. |

I am so sorry to hear that some of you are having a difficult day. Wygirl you probably should not take it personally. There could be any number of reasons that the people were not able to swap with you at that time. One thing I do is if I want to swap but and too swamped I set it up with the dates way far out. That way I still get to do the swap, just later rather than sooner. I don't know if this helps, I just took a quick peek at your profile and it looks really cool. I will probably be going back to read more. You could always politely ask the person why. All that housework wow. I can't do that stuff anymore I have to have help with the heavy housework. But I can still craft YIPEE! |

It has been a good day and a bad day. My sister turned 26 today..and on the way to celebrate her birthday, my mom fell down the stairs and broke her foot :( |

Congratulations to your sister and Get Well Soon to your Mom. Sounds like she has a couple of daughters who will be able to help her in her recovery. My day was pretty good today. I finished up some swaps and some wishlists so I will be going to the post office tomorrow. I've tried all the post offices in the area and I found the one that is the least busy with the nicest people and that is where I plan to go from now on. The PO that serves my mail always has a long line, the people at the counter are super slow and I found out that they have been overcharging me, by making me put more postage on than was necessary. And the one guy keeps on fondling my packages, he must pick it up and feel it 3 or 4 times at least before he puts the metered label on it. How do you spell weirdo? |

Thanks. I'm not upset about the not wanting to swap I know there are reasons it was more the little white lie that bothered me. So sorry about the car :( That is not good at all. I know how great it feels to get swaps out :) Today was pretty good. I got a lot done... not the schoolwork I should've done but productive nonetheless lol. I did the other walls in my living room. Assembled my shelf that finally got here and put my crochet/PC/cross=stitch stuff on it. So no longer have a pile of bags and boxes in the corner. My living room is actually beginning to look normal now. Yay :) Just need to wash the sofa and clean the carpet. :) I think the laundry room is next on my list. I love not being depressed :) |

My Mom used to make a banana pudding with vanilla wafers and sliced bananas and merange on top. It was so good. I have never been able to make or spell merang. My Mom tells me that none of the ingrediants can come in contact with plastic or it won't work. I have a plastic scoop in my sugar bin so that is my downfall I guess. I am reheating leftover meatloaf. I had not made it for years, but lately I've been wanting it. It came out good this time, because I got some professional advise on how to make it.Happy 4th of July! |

I'm a fan of good meatloaf. It's hard to find a restaurant out here that serves good ML and it just doesn't pay me to heat up my oven for Meatloaf for One....Bingo can't have any so that means I'm a Meatloaf eatin' fool for far longer than I care to be:-) when I do venture to turn on my oven:-) I make my banana pudding with sliced bananas too.(I douse em in fresh lemon juice though besides adding a touch o twang it keeps em from turning brown so quickly) BP ain't BP without the vanilla wafers(lol) I haven't tried a merange. Is it served raw or is the merange baked? raw whipped egg whites on BP is different:) My friends who are throwing the shindig live on a hill in a historic part of LA. They have the best view of Fireworks shows from the Rosebowl to South Pasadena and in between. We sit in the hot tub, sipping wine while watching the sky show. Wonderfully relaxing. |

Congratulations on your baby shower Goddesssamy! I hope you have a great time visiting with friend and family. ChappyKat my Mom baked the merange, and it was served warm. OH MY that was sooooo gooooood. I love BP, I hope that everyone you serve knows how lucky they are to get homemade BP. My son is living with me right now. But if I were alone I would still make the meatloaf I would just slice it up the day after and freeze servings of it. I love having stuff in the freezer that I can pull out and heat up, makes that cooking day seem so much more worthwhile. |

Bridal shower and baby shower are things totally unknown to me... believe it or not. I guess things happen somewhat differently here. I got my children back from my parents, they have obviously had very busy week - driving here and there, swimming, climbing all kind of buildings... Should I continue the same way? Where do my parents get their energy? Is it sure I'm their child at all? |

My day is not good. I am really bummed out, but, we have those times in our lives just like we have the days of intense joy. Pahasiga, where are you from that they don't have baby showers? And godessamy, I have decided to spend today getting your baby gift together. I will do my best to mail it tomorrow. It may not be as spectacular as I wanted it to be, but, I can always send something later too. I want this there before the baby comes. I had a lot of depression and couldn't get anything done, although I tried. I am so happy for you. What gifts did you get at the baby shower? |

Hi Angie, I am so sorry to hear that you are having depression problems. I have been having that problem also. To the point of not wanting to answer my phone and sleeping a lot. I really have to push myself to do things because that (along with the medication) is the only way I know to drag me out of my hole. Linda |

I know, Linda. I take medication too, but it is certainly not a cure all. I am about to get busy on goddessany's baby stuff. I have promised her something for months. Shame on me. Anyway, I will pray for you Linda. When I get down like this, I don't want to sleep all the time, but I just feel bummmed and have no energy to clean my house. I think painting does help me. The water helps me a lot too. I swam all day in my friend's pool, on the fourth. Also, singing helps me. I think I need to get my playstation out and start doing my karyoke again. What hobbies do you do besides arts and crafts? |

Angie, Besides arts and crafts? I read, but I do so many different types of arts and crafts that is my main thing.. Cupcake, My sister is the one that talked me into Swap-bot. although she has not been very active on this site lately. Being referred to Swap-bot helped my depression a lot. Knowing that I am making something for someone and all the great people I have met that have been so supportive. |

Linda, we have a lot in common. I suffer chronic pain all of the tinme too and have for at least eight or nine years. I am about to cut way back on swaps and groups now, due to me feeling so overwhelmed. I think I may need a break. |
Im so overly tired :(
