Thanks so much for your kindness, Linda. It means a lot to me. It seems that there are a lot of people here on swapbot with health problems. I am going to cut back on the groups and forums so I can craft more. I just got some new stickers today. Yipeeeee. I am sorry you got "flamed". That makes it hard. There are so many people here with diverse beleifs and lifestyles. For the most part, I think we do pretty good though. Just try to keep your chin up and realize that many times, a lot of people are rooting for you, they just don't want to get entangled with a lot of drama. |

hugs to angie and linda :) Swap-bot helps me feel connected to others. It's great how wonderful and giving a lot of these ladies are. It just feels so good to come home to some mail that isn't bills or junk. In this age of high tech, sometimes we can get a little distance from eachother. Snail mail has never felt so good. Hey Angie, do you have a Joann's Fabrics or Joanne's Crafts and Fabrics where you live? They have jumped on the $1 section bandwagon and they have awesome stuff! I love it. |

I can't believe I found PARKING again at the subway stop I use. It's always so hard. With the price of gas and traffic, this thoroughly made my day. It cost me the grand total of $2.50 round trip to and from Downtown LA. Can't beat that. To top it off a patient today told me about a new store that I must check out. Seems they carry flavors of pocky that I hadn't heard of. Yup definitely another good day. |

Chappykat, So glad to hear you had a good day, Sounds like taking the suway is a big saver. Why don't they have better parking near the subway stop so people will use it? The price of gas here is over $4.00 a gallon, needless to say I am not driving much, I did venture out today to go to the store and the post office. I had a lot of packages to mail I was so glad to get them out I had been putting it off because I was not feeling well. Not too bad today though. OH my Son made a date last night with one of the girls he knew from high school. He is so shy that this was big step for him. I am so happy for him. |

Tonight I attended a fundraiser for kids with special needs. Steven Webber from Wings was the MC. He couldn't have been funnier or nicer. I got to meet him and take a photo. Now I'm thinking of somehow working the photo into my PurplePinkOrange Postcard swap, since I was wearing two of those colors :-) Fun night for a worthy cause! |

where does one get the different flavors of pocky? I have only tried chocolate and strawberry. So far my day is going quiet. I slept in late, sat with my doxies and paid attention to them a while, and decided to check out swap bot. I am babysitting tonight for a friend, so I have to get ready for that! Imageine, a 46 yr old babysitter! Well one of the kids is a former student of mine when I taught Kindergarten... |

My day has been going well so far :) i had a fabulous weekend at my cousins. I was able to get EIGHT swaps out this weekend! WOOHOO. My cousin and I had a craftapalooza and made a dozen ATC's each. Today I received 3 ratings so far so I'm happy about that. I actually made it to work despite a bad night of driving home : / (i had to pull over and take a nap, i was beginning to feel drowsy at the wheel! I didn't make it home until almost 5 am!). My students are the best...I'm going to miss them when I transfer at the end of this month :*( So that's about it! After work I'm off to pick up my Julian, then home to fix up and put together my new place :) |

CCchica, I found some cupcake fabric at M&L near Disneyland in Anaheim. I thought of you so I had to buy a little :-) Not sure what I'll do with it yet but it's awfully cute! My day was good. I got my contract for a gig I booked in November. I had a good amount of work today at the office. After work I went to play Bingo and I won a game all by myself. I think the bingo earrings that CTP sent me might have magical powers....ooooh, aaaaaahhh! On the way home I saw a gas station with regular for $3.89. I bought croaked! Seems like forever and a day since I saw gas at that price and when I did I think I was appalled that it was so high. Ah, those were the days, eh? |

I love a good haircut and have been the victim of a few bad ones. I am so glad to hear yours went well. I need a haircut so bad but the last time she messed up my color so bad that I don't want to go back, it's been 10 months and my hair is down to my waist when it is sraight. But I wear it up 99.999% of the time. |

My hair was long to and I cut it very short.I was just tying it up in a pony all the time. Now all I have to do is gel it and go. Your hair is so long. It does get scarey to get a cut you can really get your hair messed up. I guess the trick is to find someone you like. This girl has my vote and I'm going to keep going back. Mary |

Going good so far... I got a call this morning from the local PBS TV station. They are doing a new show and one aspect of the show deals with public transportation in LA. Someone from that station came across my redline wall advertisement video and tracked me down. They interviewed me about traveling to work via the subway, why I like it, what my opinions are in regards to improving the system yada yada. So we'll see if I this leads to a ride along and actual feature piece. I think I posted a pic of the redline wall advert here a while back. |

I love this topic. My day was pretty good. My parents and my sister and her hubby were camping at a campground near here so I spent the afternoon and had dinner with them. My Mom, my Sis and I put a puzzle together and then I drove Mom down to the beach path and we had a little walk. She was not able to walk much, but she did enjoy what she was able to do. |

Did laundry and got a call from my neighbor so now I'm going to screen Woody Allen's new flick at the Academy. Happy bout that as it's suppose to be hot today and I'm liking the idea of an air-conditioned screening auditorium! |

Air-conditioning is a brilliant invention. Even tho I am in Washington State when menopause set in and the office I worked in was not air conditioned and it would get over 80 degrees in the office during the summer so I put in central air at home. I love it. |

Angie I hope that you don't drop alltogether. I kow how devastating and discouraging chronic pain can be. For me I have to stay distracted and not dwell on it. I had to cut my swap list drastically because I was feeling overwhelmed and pressured. Now I have them spaced out enough to a managable level. I was also spending too much time on the forums and got flamed a couple of times for my opinion and it is so hard to not reply back to those kind of postings. So I am trying to slow down on the forums but if you ever want to chat pm me.
